Joseph would immediately feel immense magic power fill him. To a normal mage this would feel like nothing but to someone unprepared the feeling was almost similar to a sugar rush. Or like someone who drank four cups of coffee in rapid succession. "I can grant healing and fire magic to those uninitiated. Mind you it's weaker but in a pinch even the tiniest bit of either form of magic could be useful."

Once everyone was out Odette lead the way hurrying out of town before the reinforcements came and spotted them. She didn't go all the way through down she took a different way to the forest so they could avoid town guards. The storm was still going but Odette tried her best not to freak out though she almost lost it when a lightning struck a tree near by. "Just keep going." It was pretty dark she hoped the others could see at least a little bit. Finally she stopped at what looked like a dead end. She stood there for a moment trying to make sure she was at the right place. Everything was so dark with all the rain clouds blocking the moon. She smiled to herself realizing that she had in deed made it to the right place. If the others had shown there irritation about reaching a dead end she didn't hear them. Then finally she started going through the think bushes and trees assuming they were following her lead. It was tight but enough to fit but they should be able to manage. At least she hop they could. Finally she made it through. It was a big clear grass area with a lake a tree growing by it and a small cottage. "This it" she said "Now come let's get inside." Odette headed to the cottage and went inside. She then waited for the others.

................

Once they made their way in she showed them where they could sleep. "So there's my bed which is big enough for two so one you can share with me. Up there should be big enough for 3 maybe? And there is a bathtub. " She pointed to the door next her bed that's where the bathroom was. "I can also give you pillows and blankets if needed." She then suddenly yawned feeling a little tired. "Alright whose sleeping where?" After she asked this she walked over to her bed and picked up the flute laying on top of it. "Man I really wish I had brought you with me today." She took off her cloak and fell backwards on her bed. Man it felt good to be home.

(um so i thought it would be easier to find pics of what the place looks like inside. So basically it looks like this but a little more wider with more room.)

Silas O'Vera
Darkness Ridge

They proceeded on until.........
"AAAHHHH!! ALPHA!!! HELP!!!!" Panic started as a young wolf was easily picked up by a winged creature. Someway. Somehow, that creature moved in silence to pick up the poor young one. He was struggling in vain as the creature's talons dug into his neck.

The creature hissed and took to the skies, carrying the werewolf with the ease of a human carrying a domestic cat. The werewolves were heavily disadvantaged being on the ground, but some pulled out bows. As Silas looked up at the creature, he saw more in the distance coming towards the pack. Silas, in a quick wit moment, howled and then sent the bark at the creature carrying the wolf. The talons had dug too far in and the wolf went limp in the creature's razor grasp. Upon being hit by the Sonic blast, it started struggling at its newly acquired deafness. It released the wolf to fall, nothing between it and the ground far below but a lot of air

Silas got set in a stance. The wolf that was captured was caught as a group of 5 ran out to catch and secure his limp, hopefully not dead body. Some of the pack was now separated and they had a swarm amongst them. Carnivorous and fur didn't seem like a deterrent for its appetite.

Not only that, but the sounds made in this small interval was likely to attract more creatures

Eliana McKenzie
Eliana quickly undid her own cloth restrictions and then pulled Rose closer to her, kissing her and caressing her. Eliana's mind was made up. This was what she wanted, who she wanted, who she wanted to love now and forever. Being an Oracle, Eliana had a STRONG sense of empathy and belief in fate. Getting this attached to a person wasn't uncommon in Norbury Oracles, but those relationships ALWAYS lasted for life, so she was confident that Rose was the one. Rose, her first and hopefully only. Hers to love and protect with her life. With this, she was giving herself to Rose. "Stay with me, Rose. I need you.........."

Sir Joseph Watson
Joseph felt the power surge through him, giving him a burst of energy. Handy indeed, especially for someone who didn't have any magic that DIDN'T depend on his skill with a blade. "You have pretty great support abilities, Phoenix. Hopefully your folks are treating you well." Joseph took the sticks back to camp, the two behind them. He dropped the sticks in a pile and went up to the Eliana's tent, but heard............intimate sounds coming from it. He'd seen and done enough of those things (and still doing those things ;D) to know what was happening in there. Proceeding was a nope for him
He quickly turned around. "I'd rather not hear all this." He drew his sword. "Lady, Cross, We're going hunting." The forest was rich in wildlife. Hopefully they could bag something big or magical. Meat from magic creatures always tasted better than their non-magic counterparts

Baumet took to the air, spinning as black flames appeared on him and he turned into his full size. Letting out an ear shattering roar with a breath of black flames. Luna erected a barrier around the pack members that were separated from them while Baumet barbecued the creature.

The creature that had appeared shook Lawrence's nerves greatly. Three skulls protruding from an icey goliath with several swords stuck in its back as proof that many had come to slay it and failed. Regardless, it did narrow down something. Lawrence had narrowly dodged the beam by jumping, but as he looked at the creature's deathly gaze from the skulls which had red dots replace eyes he clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Suggestion, cover fire!" Lawrence shouted to Tobias before jumping his way over to the strange golem. It seemed to be a mixture of ice and undead, so fire was definitely an effective piece of it. Lawrence charged ahead where the thing tried to grab him, but Lawrence jumped up, using the arm to propel himself onto the back. He decided to test the previous warriors' theory and took a stab into its back. A wee bit of fire and the sword penetrated a foot in before being halted. The golem began to move around, not in pain, but only to get Lawrence off its back. Lawrence jumped off and the thing began to swing its left appendage like a club towards Lawrence who held out his weapons in defense with a very little window of attack.

"I don't know if that hurt it. See if you can pop a skull!"

Fiona heard the sounds in the tent as well. Her face flushed quite fast. What a damn fine time to be with these people. Whether or not she liked it, she was stuck with them. To her, the threat of the werewolves was not gone. If they saw her go back to town, or one of them found her in town and the guards or other parties learned of their location what was she supposed to do? At the very least she had an opportunity once Joseph said he was going to go hunting.

"Take me with! I don't want to hear these noises either. I'm also a very good scout. I don't have any hunting or combat ability aside from that though," Fiona said swiftly as she quickly made her way next to the old man. She also had to earn their trust, which wasn't an easy thing. She had indeed learned such the hard way. She did wonder what else she could find. Perhaps there would also be some interesting herbs to find. All Fiona had the capability to make were simple medicines and tea, but it would never hurt to try.

Zak Schrodinger
Location: Redvale - Skywatch Rest Inn
Interactions: Nelee ( Lincs Lincs )

A minor frown briefly appeared on Zak's face when she repeated him stating his animal. Before he answered her questions he pointed to his ears and said, "Please don't repeat my animal introduction like that. I only do so because a lot of people get confused about me and my strengths due to confusing my animal. That's all, but in regards to airships...they aren't the only ones I do. I just got done escorting a merchant, so with a fat wallet I might as well trim it down to avoid any suspicion. Airships aren't as big of a hassle to protect as you may think. Pirates that raid airships are RARE, but when they do appear they are skilled beyond your imagination. The sea is a different realm though."

He took a swig of his ale and called for a refill before answering Nelee's question about his success. "The reason true mercenaries may have an alias is because they end up killing, a lot. Me, I prefer to give my victims mercy before death, so that way I don't have to use any false names."

Typically, a bandit raid or a pirate raid didn't hold any grudges because bandits died or fled back into the woods while pirates of the sea had too many people to care on a ship. Zak had very few instances of people seeking him out to avenge one of his victims, but those people tended to be rather weak or in denial or anger in their stage of grief.

"In regards to 'success,' I would say I'm comfortable. I'm not too well-known and I'm not a boonies guard. People pay decent amounts for my service, I drink and eat my coin away then take on another employer."

He was young, but his master did sometimes talk of retirement. Zak knew that to someone like his master, retirement means flat out quitting or grabbing a permanent employer, like a noble or a city guard. Zak had no such images yet, but he did wonder what would happen when he got old and frail sometimes. His master was young and healthy enough to not settle down for years still, so Zak wondered if such a man had a plan for his darker years.

Tobias Cabral
A thin white icy mist erupted from the middle skull's mouth and began to surround its body. It was thin enough to still see through. "Doubtful! Since when could Golems feel pain?"

Tobias kneeled again and aimed his crossbow. "Get out of there, I'm about to take my shot." A magic circle appeared under the golem's foot. Toby shot his Blaze arrow right at the middle skull. However, before it got there, all the mist around it froze immediately, encasing it in a big block of ice. The arrow only melted a shot distance into the block before exploding. It damaged the block a bit, but not very much.

The spell was familiar and common amongst powerful ice beings. A close quarters spell called Snap Freeze. A highly effective spell that not only encased the user in ice, but the mist would freeze with so much force that any bone (that's not the caster's) caught up in the mist when it froze would break. The spell could break literally every bone in someone's body in less than a second.

Hopefully Raven got his sword out. Otherwise it was stuck in the thing's back like all the rest. The golem looked at him and the third skull, the only one without eyes, opened its mouth and unleashed a black beam at Raven. The beam was consistent and compact, like a laser

Sir Joseph Watson

"My apologies," he sighed, exasperated. "I operate under the assumption that my co-worker could control her carnal desires, but I guess not. The new one with us couldn't control herself either.......I'll crash their little workout if they're not done before we get back." He said as they made their way into a forest.

Now a good distance from the camp, he turned to her. "If you're a scout, your job will be simple. I'll need you to identify something to kill. The bigger, the better, as we're gonna need plenty of food for the road ahead. If we can't, we'll have to stop again and set up camp multiple times throughout the day." He gave her a Comms Crystal. Whoever she was, he'd truly find out in this instance. "Contact me when you see something worth eating or if you have an emergency."
He then stalked off into the woods, leaving Fiona and Cross (if he was with them) alone. The phoenix could follow whoever he pleased.

The creatures were completely unaffected by the black flames. They started to screech and breathe flames all over the barrier and some tackled it, all to weaken it. This wasn't just one creature. This was like 10, so the attack was more like an onslaught.
"Demons.......well of course," Silas said. He jumped out the barrier while the rest stayed in. He dashed out and the swarm on the separated members split, half going for Silas. He charged in with no regard for his own life, eyes red with rage at a pup being attacked by these demons and almost carried off. He stabbed into one's wing and then pulled up, ripping its wing almost completely off. The creatures swarmed Silas, screeching and digging their talons into his body. They started lifting off the ground, but Silas was a fighter. Demon blood flew as he struggled with both blade and claw, slashing the demons left and right. He couldn't even be seen as 5 demons blocked every angle of view. They were slowly but surely leaving the ground as Silas roared and thrashed like a savage

Maverick stayed in with Luna and the pack. "Let's get the archers and veterans on the swarm. Keep the Epsilons and Pups safe." A few of them pulled out bows and a few others took out Wolf Stones. In a flash of light, they changed and roared at the creatures. "Luna, can we fire through this barrier, or is it 2-sided?"
The barrier was surrounded now. If someone left the barrier, they would be swarmed as well, just like Silas was currently. Some of these demons needed to be taken out before any individual tried to leave the barrier.

Luna recalled Baumet, forcing the dragon into its scythe form “you can fire through it if needed!” She yelled as her aura became visible, see Silas getting swarmed was causing her anger to rise. Luna’s horns grew out as she started walking past the pack members towards the barrier, her staff impaled into the ground to keep the barrier up. Changing she let out a screech of her own, she still wasn’t at 100% from her last battle but could hold that form for a little while. Stepping out of the barrier dragging Baumet and laughing “get...off....of my mate!” She yelled releasing a crimson dervish at the horde of demons. Her laugh twisted and heartless as she started to summon an undead army, pushing herself at this point.

Nyrea
Location: City of Redvale
Streets/forest

Nyrea started paying a lot more attention to the way after the first few minutes. Sure she didn't think that Odette was guiding them to some trap but she looked a bit nervous or on edge, and better safe than sorry, after all what did she know about any of them? And even if it wasn't a trap she preferred to have a perfect notion to where she was and how to retrace her steps if needed be. She understood the cause of it when Odette almost jumped out of her skin when a lighting stroke a nearby tree. That could be a very terrifying prospect.

Thinking that maybe Foster might need some help with all that weight from time to time she casted a air spell to help relief some of it. It was a dark night, with the moon covered by clouds and there was little to no light but being an half-elf it was something that didn't bother her too much. Although she figured that with humans in the party that could be an issue and they were far enough in the forest so it would attract too much attention, so she casted lights, having a little orb casting a very dim light around the front of the group.

When they reached the location Nyrea stoped a little in her tracks to look around her. It was a very beautiful place, somehow it fit the image she had where Odette might live. The interior of the house not so much. She didn't know what she was expecting, but it wasn't that, not that it didn't fit her all the same but still, not that. She looked around while Odette talked. "I'll take the floor and the blankets if you don't mind" she said in ways of answering the flower girl, while putting the bag with Caius' things on top of the table. She didn't want to sleep with anyone so near her, besides she knew better than to expect a calm and dreamless night. Nyrea felt exhausted now that the adrenaline flushed out of her system. That and cold, that came with no surprise, they were all drenched from the rain. Taking off her own cloak she made a beeline to the fireplace, lighting it up, basking in the warmth it provided.

She stayed next to it in silent while the others did their own thing, eyes unfocused and mind empty. After awhile, the exhaustion won and she fell asleep.
Little feet disturbing the fresh fallen snow, leaving small trails. She's running to the house, long black hair cascading down her back and moving occasionally to her face. She could see the hot hair leaving her mouth and feel the smile while she moved. She gripped the pink flowers in her hand, mother would be happy. But there was something mixing with the pure happiness when she reached the door. Dread. Something wasn't right, she needed to remember. She pushed the front door, opening it all the way, removing her snow covered shoes and moving on the wood floor without a sound. Mother didn't like when she used them inside the house. She looked down when she turned the corner and arrived at the kitchen, feeling her feet wet, touching something viscous that made her freeze in place before her brain processed it. Her feet now red from blood and there was a scream that never came, stuck in her throat that she couldn't reach. In a transe she took a few steps, her eyes now landing in another's. Empty, motionless, dead. Staring back at her and she screamed.

Nyrea woke up with a start, gasping for air, tears unshed burning in her eyes. Her heart almost beating out of her chest, hands going to her neck, searching for her necklace that she didn't have with her. For a few moments there was only panic, she didn't understand why she couldn't find it and then she remembered. She needed it back. Looking around the room she spotted everyone's jackets and cloaks near the fireplace to dry out. Moving without a sound she slid her hand in the pocket she saw Foster putting it. If there was something else there she didn't pay any attention to it. Grabbing the pendant she released a breath she didn't notice she was holding.

It was still dark and raining outside. She probably only slept for a little more than a couple hours. Her usual then. Being careful so not to wake the others she grabbed a blanket and moved outside to the porch. The cold air doing wonders to calm her down. Moving the pendant between her fingers she thought about what she was going to do next now that her plans were probably ruined.

Nyera's passing did not wake Oahu. But it did wake one of his raptors. Nameley Princess. She was nestled in with the other raptors, who were piled on top of Oahu, when Nyera passed. As if sensing Nyera's feelings, whatever they were, the tiny fluffy animal followed her out onto the porch. It plopped down next to her and refused to budge because of the unfathomable reasoning of the animal mind. And also because it was cold but didn't want to go back inside.

Foster

On the long journey through the rain, Foster deigned to stay quiet. There wasn't much to discuss, after all. He focused on putting one foot in front of the other, struggling under Caius's weight. When the load on his shoulders suddenly lessened, he looked around before realizing what Nyrea had done. He offered a wide smile in thanks, though it quickly melted off of his face after they both returned to walking forwards. The rain trickled down the nape of his neck, torturously slow. The beads of water slid like melting ice over the scar tissue there, slid down to where no one could see. He felt the snow again, falling so gently as it tried its best to bury him.

He studied the thief from behind as they walked, his eyes wandering over the orbs she raised above their little band so that everyone could see. A proper thief cared about themselves first and foremost. So why was she always doing her best to help out the rest of them? It intrigued him, but also made him a little uneasy.

...

Foster and his sleeping companion were the last to make their way through the dense mire of foliage surrounding the clearing, and when the man finally broke through, trailing a stream of quiet curses at the prickling trees, he, like the others, stopped to marvel at the view for a moment. The dim lighting didn't do it justice, he supposed, but it had been a long time since he had seen a place so tranquil and so far removed from the ravages of society.

Once inside, he walked over to the bed and eased Caius down onto it, before realizing that Odette was already occupying the bed and miiight raise objection to this. Cutting his eyes towards her briefly, he offered a shrug and wandered off to find somewhere to lay down, shedding coat, boots, and sling as he did so. He sat against the wall to clean and re-arm his musket, and carefully set it aside after he could focus no more.

...

He lay slumped against the wall, not quite asleep and not quite awake. This was the state he spent most of these sort of nights, a kind of half-sleep he jokingly called "soldier's rest."

It was probably nicer to just call it insomnia. As usual, self-loathing had snuck up on him while he tried to sleep, and he couldn't relax properly. Time stretched on into infinity; there was no way to measure the hours as they oozed by. Sharp pangs flared up in his stomach as he started to get hungry once more. Foster thought hazily about the life he had lived, and what he had thrown away, and hated himself. Nobody cared about him, and nobody loved him. Permanently a random face in the periphery of people's lives, someone that came and went without a second thought. Alone.

At some point during all of this, he was aware of Nyrea waking with a start, and after fumbling around near the fireplace, wordlessly leaving the cottage. The quiet opening and closing of the door brought him back to full awareness, and he sat thinking for a moment more. He probably wasn't going to get any sleep for the night. Maybe burning off some of the restless energy would help. He got up and opened the door himself, noting the shadow of Nyrea's form sitting on the stoop. For a moment, Foster lingered there, but found he couldn't really say anything. He nodded curtly, and strode out into the rain, toward the treeline. Walking would help.

Nelee
The stately woman pressed her lips together briefly. "Please forgive me, Zak. I meant no offense." Her smile returned as she listened to his brief run-down of the various jobs he took on, leaning forward a bit with her hands folded neatly on the table before her. Few professionals bothered to take her (or their own work) seriously, and she was delighted to hear what he had to share.

She opened her mouth to respond, but her words died on her lips as she looked just past his left shoulder. The dark-faced dwarf sitting at the other end of the tavern met her eyes only for a moment before burying his bearded face in a mug, but she had caught him staring at her. "I am sorry, my friend. I may need to leave soon."

Nel looked back towards Zak and released a long breath, before leaning forward a bit and lowering her voice. "I suppose that your generosity tonight earns you the right to know my business. I am here to root out a particular circle of poachers. They were active on my... in the previous area I was working in, and I've determined something not unlike their center of operations here in Redvale. These individuals are particularly nasty, in that they use violence and bribery to suppress any resistance to their trade." Her eyes flickered past his shoulder again.

"Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to come here. There may be unfriendly ears without."

While everyone slept, Valac disintegrated his body. It was dying anyway. He created a new one out of magical energy; an identical rat, but with better biological functions. A more precise nervous system, higher-functioning brain, and expanded musculature. Perhaps now a simple shock bolt spell wouldn't cause an instantaneous death. After that, Valac slept, or rather, meditated to regenerate his energy. He would wait until morning to execute the second stage of his plan, because everyone now seemed to be completely exhausted.

Odette was laying on her bed with her flute in her hand slowly falling asleep. Until she suddenly felt something plop right next to her. She open her eyes to see that Foster had dumped Caius next to her. It seemed like he didn't noticed that Odette was even there at first but it really didn't matter she said the bed was big enough for two. That and Odette didn't seem to see the big deal of it. She shrugged and rolled over to her side and faced the window still holding on her to her flute. She then closed her eyes falling off to sleep. Well she was until she was awaken again buy a thunder and light strike which made her sit right up. She closed her curtains then got under the covers and pulled them over her head as if it would block the thunder. She then slowly fell asleep, again, with flute in hand and stayed asleep this time.

Caius Grants
Forest: Odette's Cabin
The last thing he remembered were the sparks of electricity leaping and jumping all over the place. Then, a sudden numbness. Then, an intense pain. Then, darkness. To his surprise, when he woke up, he wasn't in a cell with a thief, a birdman, a large guy with raptors, a crestfallen gunner, a plant girl, and a talking rat. It was all but a dream and he's in a soft bed in the room he rented. Actually, did he ever got a chance to rent one? And now that he thought about it isn't this bed a little too soft for a cheap inn?

Caius got up to survey his surroundings, and as soon as the blankets fell off of him, he felt a chill upon his back, his check, his stomach, his everywhere really. His clothes seemed to have been stripped from him. Well, it's only natural, he though, it'll be terrible if he went to be with wet clothes. But wait! Why would he have wet clothes? It's all coming back to him now, the time spent waiting in the rain, the electricity that had surely sent him plummeting into the wet ground in his unconsciousness.

Caius looked around him and saw those that were with him in that cell were here as well, even that damned rat. It was no dream after all. Now all that's missing is Odette, where did she went? His question was soon answered as his head turned slightly to the side, and there she was, the little girl sleeping by his side while he's half naked. Damn it! And he just got out of prison too! Jokes aside, Caius himself though nothing of it, after all, he was unconscious, it's not as if he had done anything wrong.

Caius slowly got up and inspected he surrounding further, finding his clothes being hung to dry by the fire place and all of his belongings in a bag without a single item missing. His clothes were still to wet to put back on and he had no need for weapons... well, maybe just the saber. And so, with his saber tucked beneath the blankets, he went back to sleep on the bed.

Silas O'Vera

The demons screeched as they were hit by the Crimson Dervish, scattering them and leaving Silas on the ground. He brushed himself off, his fur a bit matted from the blood of both him and the demons he cut

"Geez," he said, panting. The swarm was recovering and he made his way over to the separated members. "Get up! Go!" he barked at them. They should've BEEN moving, yet they were standing over the limp wolf. If he was dead, he was dead. If not, fantastic. Regardless of if he was alive or not, they weren't leaving him behind so they should've been moving this entire time.

The undead swarmed around the wolves. They were weak of course, of but they had the power of numbers, which was enough to keep the demons from their targets with exceptional ease.........for a while. The demon swarm started to bite on the zombies, then chew. They were eating the zombies with what seemed to be an insatiable appetite. The power of numbers would protect them, but they couldn't just sit around. Silas took the moment to rest, then he grabbed Luna's hand, trying to calm her down. "Change back, Luna. I'm fine, thanks to you." Silas didn't know if he would've lived or gotten carried off to god knows where if Luna hadn't intervened. Yeah, he'd have struck every demon down eventually, but with how resilient they were, it wouldn't have been before he was carried halfway to the Tartarus.

Now with a convoy of meat shields, they moved back towards the barrier, who finally got up the archers. Silas's sword glowed and he swung it. With every swing, it released a crescent blade of energy. If wings were hit, it was instantly crippling.

The ground began to shake.................
Luna reverted to her normal state as he had told her. Wincing as her vision doubled and she started her way back to barrier, she was maintaining her form and the barrier at the same time “Silas I can’t....I can’t keep the barriers up...please” Luna looked to Baumet as black blood started to run down her nose. Collapsing on the ground with Baumet back in his tiny form as a dragon. Screeching the Tony dragon used the remainder of its stored magic to open its own pocket dimension, summoning Raven through it.

“Damn you Baumet! I was in the middle of a meal!” He yelled angrily, not noticing what was going on. “Silas explain to me why my weapon has pulled me to.....” pausing as he looked at his feet “pick her up and move the pack.....” cracking his knuckles as he threw his coat over Luna and turned his skin to steel. “I guess I’ll acually have to try...I really hate these ones” planting his feet upon feeling the ground shake Raven’s eyes had begun to glow red, ripping the blood from the demons who had open wounds, collecting it on his body like armor.

Silas picked her up as the barrier collapsed. He slung her over his shoulder while he kept swinging. "This is all under control. My fucking commander tried to call me and he attracted this horde. I'll give him a piece of my mind when we get to Teec Nos Los." Silas didn't mind carrying her, but now they had to protect 2 from these demons while counter attacking.

When the ground shook, Silas's fur started bristling. "Something is coming. Something big." One thing to note was that while they demons screeched, they constantly glowed red and only stopped glowing when they stopped screeching. They had to have been speaking, and 20 total of them gave them great words of power.

"ALPHA!!! A massive build-up of concentrated dark magic incoming!" Silas hissed. They needed to go. Silas never had any intent to fight, so they needed out. The demons were attacking much less than usual, either to their blood being drained, or the thing approaching.

Someone in his pack shrieked. Looking towards the screamer, Silas saw it. "FUCK!! The Spirit of the Ridge! Mr. Crost! We're taking off!" They couldn't fight that thing. No way in hell. Plus, they were successfully regrouped

"You lot get moving, I'll hold its attention!" Raven yelled to them before beginning to chant something under his breath. Finishing it he used the gathered blood to form a circle with various symbols and runes. "Keep her safe or I'll use your fur as a carpet!" He warned silas as he bit his thumb and squeezed blood out to activate the circle. Wincing as his blood was ripped from his body "create! Undead legion deathknight!" Falling to his knees and laughing as the undead he had summoned began to morph and change. Becoming an undead horde of unholy warriors, the difference in strength compared to his usual summons were significant. The army putting itself between the pack and the demon that was comming. The horse wouldn't be able to kill it but they would buy more than enough time to escape.

Luna shifted waking up from what she felt from the demon that was coming for them. Her vision blurred still as she passed back out.

Nyrea
Location: City of Redvale
Odette's cabin

Nyrea sat down on the floor her mind spinning fast with old memories when she felt something nestling next to her. Looking at her side she saw one of Ohau's raptors making itself comfortable on her blanket. "Hey you, what are you doing here lovely?" her voice was soft, only above a whisper. It obviously was comfortable enough to be around her, so very carefully, so it wouldn't get scared, she moved her hand to start petting it. Her fingers tracing its feathers and savoring the feeling, when the door opened once again. This time Foster making his way outside. She looked up just to acknowledge his presence. She wasn't in the mood to be around others, so when he moved away she felt relieved she didn't have to, keeping petting the raptor's head.

She didn't noticed but eventually, as her mind wandered, she was humming a old elven lullaby her mother used to sing to her when she was a kid. When she did notice it, she froze in her tracks. She wasn't sure how long it had been since she came outside but she had only hit the proverbial walls during all her thinking. There was nothing she could for now without some more information. The weather seemed to open a little and it had stop raining, at least for now, but it wasn't morning just yet, although she figured it wouldn't be long. Letting out a sigh she patted the little creature one more time "Come on little thing, let's get you inside" not really waiting for its approval she grabbed it gently as she was getting up, putting it down once they got inside.

Nyrea was still restless, with an heavy knot in her chest that she knew it wouldn't go way fast. So she did the only thing she could in that situation. Grabbing all her things she exited the cabin again, making sure she was silent so not to wake everyone else and that the raptor wouldn't follow her again, Oahu would not be happy if she disappeared at the same time of one of his precious little companions and this was probably going to take a little. Making a beeline to the forest behind the cabin she disappeared behind the trees.

Odette's Cabin

A beam of golden light flourished and embraced the newborn spirit's face. It was formless, without a body, and its senses were spiritual in nature. It felt her massive presence, towering over the comparatively weak Nameless Spirit, both in power and age. The goddess, and its creator.

The Nameless Spirit was happy. It didn't want or need anything. It was born fulfilled, with no inherent desire. As such, its only desire - its only wish - was to grant the wishes of others. And whose wishes would he fulfill if not those of the goddess that created him and gave it this wonderful life?

"How can I serve?"

"Messenger," Ayla's celestial voice rang out. It understood the command. She gave it the message that had to be delivered to the mortal world.

It blinked out of the Heavenly Plane and down unto the earth. An angel, if not in name, then in function. The Nameless Spirit was a holy messenger, born fulfilled and subservient, and happy to exist and perform its mission mindlessly. No wish other than fulfill others' wishes. Her wishes.

The holy warrior sensed a presence of light on the crown of his head. He looked up, weary from his travels, holy blade in hand, relic plates of armor coating his body. His prayers have been answered at last.

"O, blessed hero," The Nameless Spirit said. It took the vague shape of a winged mistress. Her hair glowed like the sun's rays, her eyes were soft and compassionate, and her body was wreathed in a white, flowing dress. She was reaching out to him with an open hand. The sight returned a modicum of strength to the paladin. "Your prayer has not been lost to the winds of the void, nor the edges of time. I hear you and come, hands clasped with yours, to rejuvenate thee and bring thee a mission most sacred to carry out in the name of all that is holy."

A spirit, it was, and nothing more. Never an angel. Only in function, but never title. Never name. Never loved enough to be given a name.

The Nameless Spirit carried out its mission. The paladin rode forward on his steed, leaving the angel behind. Nameless smiled at its first, completed task, but something was wrong.

The connection with the Heavens was lost. Returning was impossible. Energy reserves were depleting faster than they could be restored. "W-What?" It looked up into the sky. "D-Did I do something wrong? Was my service not satisfactory?!..." Nameless paused.

"Am... am I wrong?" She kneeled. Did her creator not bother adding features, or, perhaps, she was born defective? "Please, I'm sorry! Don't take this life away from me! Why? Why are you doing this, my lady?"

The Nameless Spirit cried and faded from the world, but a remnant of its existence remained bound nearby, to be found years later by a mysterious devotee of the occult and a seeker of darker powers. He was the one who would give a name to the spirit. A name that meant wrath. A name that was carried by someone who wished for vengeance.

Valac woke up, startled. No, not by the fact that he was a woman once. That was normal. Spirits don't have gender. His dread came from the memory of his abandonment. The bitter reminder served as a gruelling source of determination. He turned into his spirit form, made his way to the rooftop, then reformed with his rat body.

He looked at the moon, his eyes slow and hateful. He thought about the absurdity of it all. He disappeared for so long that he lost his chance at vengeance. The Heavenly gates were closed and inaccessible, and neither could Gods or Angels intervene in mortal affairs anymore. They could only act as distant figureheads, obsolete to the world. In the past, Gods kept mortalkind from advancing. From creating vehicles to take them into space. From creating their own universes. Everything was limited, partly by the Weave of Magic, partly by the Conjunction of the Spheres, but mostly, it was because of the deities.

But now? Nothing stood in his way.

He lost his shot at revenge. But what he got in exchange was more than worth it. He received a beautiful, gift-wrapped, golden key of opportunity. A chance to dominate, and rule. Fulfilling others' wishes? Why would he do that, when others can fulfill his wishes. With a mute harumph, he prepared to return inside.

Why did he go up here in the first place? Was it that the moonlight was pretty? Or maybe it was the breeze. Perhaps he wanted to see more of what became of the world around him after his disappearance. To savor the feeling of being one of the only left serious contestants to rule over mortals. He was lost in thought until he saw something making its way to the forest --- a person. It was Nyrea, the blue-feather girl. Yes, he remembered her. She was very fond of him. Why, let's follow her, he thought. Odds were positive that this was a chance to manipulate her.

Valac, once again, became an invisible spirit. He followed Nyrea in this form. The chances she'd notice him were virtually nonexistent. The most she'd notice is the weird feeling of being watched; a notable side-effect of being followed around by spirits that wash their senses over you.

It was a bit but after a bit Cross had fallen Asleep leaving Ellie to have to keep watch while Joseph was gone. She nearly forgot Joseph helping there in Loudwater due to how busy the two had been. After all Slavers weren't there only targets. But in the end they both owed Joseph for Loudwater and as an act of Kindness Ellie was taking watch. "Damn how do humans live in this heat? I'm going to have to chill the air a bit if I don't want to go unconsious." And just like that she reached into her pockets of her armor and grabbed a good amount of Water vials and froze them before putting them back into her armor. Now cooling her off and her feeling a lot better letting out a loud sigh of relief. Before hearing the two women doing their own thing. "Dammit all why did you fall to sleep Cross. I wouldn't mind a good kiss or loving." She groaned as she realized she may have punished herself by taking this shift. "Gods why! Joseph please come back!"

Joseph came back dragging a large buck like it was nothing. Who said old men weren't strong? "Big boy was a fighter," Joseph said with a chuckle. His clothing was shredded and there were some slash marks on him. From the bruises on the buck's face and the single wound in its throat, Joseph didn't take this down the traditional way. The runed marks in its skin was indicative of a magic animal, which was a huge bonus "Guess we're eating venison. We eat, sleep on rotating shifts, then move on. I want to reach Norbury fairly soon," Joseph said

By the time he returned, the sounds fromt he tent stopped. Joseph moved close and heard them sleeping. At least one of them at minimum. He didn't bother them. Joseph started the campfire, skinned the deer and began cooking it. "You can go to sleep, Ellie. I'll take a few shifts," Joseph said gruffly as he smoked the meat. "I'm gonna be up for a while getting this meat packed for the road."

"You're out of your mind, Mr. Crost! That thing will destroy you!" The Spirit of the Ridge, a creature that resided in Darkness Ridge. The demons were there to guard the unholy sanctity of the grounds. Typically leaving travelers alone, they come out when the order is disturbed. Communications to those outside the Ridge (when entering the ridge) was one of those things that disturbed it, along with leaving the path, loud noises or bright lights. The demons would come to remove the offender. When met with resistance that could result in their own death, they call forth the Spirit of the Ridge. It could very well be defeated..........but good luck with actually killing it. At best, one could take it on and, using a certain type of magic, calm it. Twould take some immense power to actually kill it

Silas left Luna with the pack as they took off with Maverick at the lead, furiously barking out orders to take on the weaker stuff that came to attack them. The demon swarm focused on Silas and on Raven's undead army, leaving Luna and the pack alone. "She's with my assistant, who's a medic. She's in safe hands and will be healed up from whatever effect transforming has on her," Silas said, taking Raven's side. "No way I'm letting you fight this thing alone."

The Spirit had 4 arms, 2 of which raised and formed 2 separate magic circles. In front of it a massive one appeared and a bunch of skeleton warriors started jumping out and charging at the undead army. They weren't just bare skeletons. A good amount of them were armored. Gunslingers, Knights, Paladins, Mages, Eldritch Knights, Archers, etc. All classes, made from those who died in Darkness Ridge were there. It was a war between the dead of Darkness Ridge, each controlled either Raven or the Spirit.

The stench of death was radiating from the Ridge, but Raven and Silas, as well as the Spirit were at the back of their respect forces. Either side would have to pave the way to take on the other.

Silas held the glare without faltering. "I care not about your suicidal tendencies, Mr. Crost. I DO care about her feelings though, so I'm here whether or not you want me here. My pack is strong enough to get out of Darkness Ridge, especially with my assistant leading."
Silas, being on his guard, saw the punch coming. He deflected the punch and spun around to the other side of Raven with extreme ease. "Not today, Mr. Crost. Luna told me you planned to do something crazy in the future. I WILL stay here, or you can endanger us both by not being on full guard against the Spirit." Unless Raven would do some type of massive AoE or undodgeable spell, Silas wasn't about to go down that easily. Either they fight together or they fight with each other and possibly get them both killed

The Spirit pointed its finger down the middle, toward Raven. The magic circle at its fingertips grew and it shot a blast directly at Raven. The concentrated beam destroyed everything in its path between it and Raven, both its own force and Raven's force.

"Yeah no offense but out of all of you I've done the least work. Cross told me everything. Just leave the shift to me and get some rest. You deserve it more then me." Ellie said choosing not too budge an inch from her position. And she was going to stay even if her and Joseph had to stay up all night arguing. The man was in a raid, had to deal with freeing a lot of slaves and now a hunt. "We need everyone to be in top shape. Never know what can be waiting for us in the next town. But if you are still insistent get some sleep and I will wake you up for the next shift."

Putting both arms up using his armored skin to absorb the beam. Planting his feet he started to slide back, the heat causing his armored skin to weaken and crack. "Any time now kid! I'm immortal not invincible!" Wincing as he felt the heat on his skin, he held it until he could safely roll out of the way. "I can't take too many more of these...we need to split its attention" Raven knew silas was faster than him while in terms of physical strength he was stronger. "Any ideas pup?"
