Name: Celeste Thorn

Age: 21

Personality: She's snarky and loves to make comebacks. She doesn't like getting attached to people, but because of her bright yet demeaning personality, she attracts a lot of attention.

Height: 5'5

Appearance:

It's her first time filming with Alexander Garay, so Celeste has no idea what kind of person (or actor) he is. She's heard a lot of good things about him: he's currently nominated for another award, large amounts of roles have been given and reserved for his talent, and he has a quite good reputation in the business. Other than that, she doesn't know whether he's a stuck up brat who can't do crap, or whether his personality won't irritate the heck out of her.

But she's desperately hoping for the best.

She orders the stage manager to brighten up the lighting. The current setting is in the coffee shop, where Alexander will order a cup of coffee and sit on one of the booths. The idea of the scene is to elaborate his character, and apparently, make use of his love for coffee. Well, she's just the director, so her role is to make sure she pinpoints the concept the scriptwriter is trying to say.

"Alexander," she calls. "Are you ready?"

Alexander waited patiently offset, nervously thinking through his role. He was at the prime of his career. He couldn't go and bomb everything now. He was told his character was supposed to be very mellow, taking life as it came. That as an easy role for him considering how close it was to his actual personality. He couldn't get overconfident though. If he did, he was almost guarenteed to make a bad impression the first day.

Alexander looked up as he heard his name being called. Snapping back into reality he gave a thumbs up, indicating he was ready to go. "You've got to stop psyching yourself out," he whispered to himself as he walked onto the set.

"Action!"

Alexander lazily walked up to the counter at the coffee shop, his head neither too high nor too low, so as to indicate a very neutral sense of pride. He stared blankly at the menu for precisely ten seconds, as instructed in the script, and lifted his eyes to stare the casheer in the eyes. "Just a small black coffee."

"That will be $2.45."

Alexander reached into his pocket and handed the lady fake money. It was a movie, so that had a lack of importance. As the lady prepared his drink he thumbled awkwardly with his fingers. He was handed the drink and his face seemed to light up for a split second. "Have a blessed day ma'am." He walked to a chair alone in the corner of the shop and sat, taking a small tip. He closed his eyes and allowed his cheeks to turn red as the warm liquid flowed down his throat. He took a breath and immediately followed with another large sip. "The best part of my days," he said to himself.

Then the lighting went dull. "That's a take!"

Alexander looked up to the filmer. "Was that good?" he asked, hoping for the best, confident now in his ability.

He looks mellow yet stolid at the same time, exactly as what was directed in the script. Celeste watches him closely, down to the fiddling of his thumbs, to the calming rise of his chest. He doesn't look uncomfortable, just a little bit nervous, like he's not sure whether to lift his right foot or his left food. But he's got the character down to his knees. He knows what to do, and how to do it. Celeste smiles when she hears his dark and rich voice over the microphones.

She prevents it from spilling all over her face when Alexander glances at her in approval. She crosses her arms, motioning for the lights to dim out. "It was," she says, nodding. "Just try not to be too nervous. You're good at what you do."

She rarely gives out compliments because she finds it useless. The confidence of an actor should come from himself, and not from the director. But looking at his face, it's obvious that he needs it.

"All right!" She calls out. "Let's take a fifteen minute break, and then we'll head to the second scene."

Alexander sighed in relief at her approval. He stared at her for a little while and then it hit him. Oh my! She's pretty! When she called for the break, he walked off stage almost immediately and to the far corner of the filming studio. How was he supposed to work when the whole time he had to worry about being attractive to. He was doing it again. He calmed himself and walked back over to her. Just say a compliment. "You have nice eyebrows." He stood tall, thinking he had done well.

She's about to drink her water when Alexander comes over. He looks like he's about to puke. Celeste takes a step back, just in case. But what comes out of his mouth is not vomit. In fact, he actually looks pretty cute. Like a lost puppy trying to get his master to pet him.

Celeste raises an eyebrow. "Um, thank you?" He looks proud of saying it, although she has no idea why. Who would compliment someone's eyebrows? Why is he even looking at her eyebrows? "If that's a compliment, I'm flattered." She walks toward him and finally takes a sip of her water, aware that she's puckering her lips to attract his further attention. She smacks her lips together and pats his head. "But you're going to have to try better than that."

"U-uh-uh," Alexander stuttered. He had no idea how this sort of thing was supposed to go down. The last girlfriend he had was in third grade, and while he was proud of that, he was pretty sure it didn't count. He remembered the advice his mother had always given him about speaking to the opposite gender. Just make it casual. The rest will unfold on it's own. But how was he supposed to do that! His eyes honed in on her lips and it felt almost as though his mouth were watering.

"So what got you into filming?" asked Alexander, his wide eyes' gaze not leaving her lips.

Okay, he's definitely cute. But his flirting skills need some work. If he's trying to pick her up with that, she's not sure if she even wants to go on a date. Actually, thinking about it now, when was the last time she's taken an interest in a guy? She's been so busy these past few months that she can't even turn her head when a hot one comes along. She's always been more dedicated to her work, and in this industry, it's better to keep herself hidden.

She senses him watching her lips and smirks. "My dad's a photographer," she says. "It perked my interest, so I tried it out. But I was more into filming than taking pictures. It's basically the same thing. But it just feels . . . Really different." She rests a finger on his chest. "What about you? Why did you become a Hollywood hotshot?"

Alexander stepped back a little, uncomfortable with the touching, his sight lifting back towards her eyes, her beautiful sky blue, dreamy eyes. "Uhh, well when I was little, I was always trying to impersonate people, running around laughing and cracking jokes all the time. 24-7. Naturally, my parents tried me out as a comedian around age 15, but I couldn't seem to think quick enough on my feet for that, so next in line was this. At first I could only play humorous, joke roles, and I wasn't even very good at those. But I had such a passion for it, my parents kept on supporting me until one day I just kind of bloomed," he said, as he slowly faded back into the world of his childhood. "Things were so easy and carefree back then. I miss it, but at the same time, I am incredibly thankful for the success, you know?"

If he's going to stare at her like that, he might as well burn a hole through her face. But she finds it slightly endearing, and it definitely helps that he's cute. His personality isn't too shabby, either. She's going to enjoy shooting this movie - especially when she's having a cooperative and flexible actor.

"Yeah," she whispers. "You know, you're the first person I've ever met who isn't a total snob." She smiles a little. She checks her watch and motions the crew to start fixing the set. She walks toward the camera, turning it on. She turns to Alexander again. "Hey, since you were a comedian, tell me a joke after."

"You've got it," Alexander shot after her. Then his face went pale! What if she didn't find his joke funny?!

Alexander fixed his hair back to about the way it was at the start of the last seen and resumed to sitting in his chair. This was the scene where Jennifer, the other main character in the movie was going to walk in.

He let his face return to a deep in thought type of look.

"Action!"

Jennifer walked into the coffee shop and glanced at Alexander. He appeared to sort of glance her way, but that was it, until the strange female approached him and extended a hand. He took it, keeping his cool, as he knew the character would do, as he wished he could actually do in real situations. "Well aren't you confident," stated Alexander, checking out the tall brunette.

"Cut!"

Celeste orders the crew to back off and loosen the lights. She walks toward the set, where Jennifer and Alexander are placed. She licks her bottom lip, trying to find out what's missing. She remembers how she has imagined the scene is going to take place, and how the actors are going to interact.

She steps closer to Alexander, lessening the gap between them. She meets his gaze. "Act like you're interested," she says. The way you're interested in me, she thinks. "Like you're seeing something . . . Different."

She keeps her eyes locked on his for a second, trailing on the shape of his lips. Then, she turns in Jennifer's direction, and her gaze becomes scrutinizing. "And you - be more seductive. Casual, but seductive. Draw him in."

She walks back out of the set and goes behind the camera. "All right! Action!"

Seductive! Anything even slightly romantic had always frightened Alexander, but he knew he would have to suck it up.

Jennifer walked over to Alexander and adjusted her bra strap this time before extending her hand. He took Celeste's advice and imagined Celeste standing there instead of Jenniffer. When he reached out, he originally reached for the girls butt, his fingers twitching a little, but then moved his hand up to meet the girls. "Well aren't you confident," he said as he playfully traced her curves in the air with his fingers.

"Cut!"

Alexander immediately leaned back in his chair and looked up at the sky. unable to believe he just did that.

"Perfect," Celeste remarks.

When she looks at Alexander's current expression, she has to bite down her lip to resist a laugh. He looks uncomfortable, which is kind of ironic since the movie will involve some romance. Even if the movie isn't centered on that itself, it's still very important. If Alexander wants to make the scenes believable, he might have to fall in love himself.

Celeste motions the crew to continue. "Just one more scene, and then we'll wrap it up."

Alexander tried to laugh away the awkwardness and then returned to position. He mouthed an apology to Jennifer, but she only seemed to laugh at him too.

"Action!"

Alexander realeased his grip on Jennifeer's hand and then nodded her over one last time. "Would you like to sit and have a drink," he asked. The girl sensually bit her lip and looked next to him, about to pull over a chair. "I insist. This one is far more comfortable," said Alexander. With that he grabbed her around the waist and pulled her onto his lap where she crossed her legs with his and looked at him, dead in the face. "What a charmer," she said as she sipped her coffee delicately and set it aside. "I think I'd rather get to know you without having coffee breath," she remarked as she drew her face closer, licking a stray drop of coffee off her soft, pink lips.

"Cut!"

Jennifer looked at Alexander's apparent uncomfortableness and got up and walked off, slightly offended by his lack of interest. Alexander stood up and brushed off his pants, glad the awkwardness was coming to an end for the day. He had no idea what part of this gave some guys so much pleasure.

Okay. Now, she's seriously trying her best not to laugh. She's never seen anyone more uncomfortable in his own skin, or in this case, when his skin is coming in contact with another. It's not that Jennifer isn't attractive; she is - with her long legs, tanned skin, and perfectly proportioned face, it's kind of hard not to get excited when she's sitting on a man's lap. Jennifer glances at her for a second, her expression dark, before she saunters off.

The props people clean up the set, while Celeste helps the technical crew with the wirings. When she's done, she catches up to Alexander, a slick smirk on her face. "Hey, have you thought about your joke yet?"

He was still kind of uncomfortable, but he kind of shook out his limbs to ease the confusion away. "Actually I do," he said, regaining a small portion of his mojo. He decided to do one of his more hammy jokes, just for the sake of easing the mood. "What do you call a fake noodle?" he asked with a grin peeking around the corners of his lips.
