Grania Montgomery
Oh no, introductions. Those were definitely the worst part of starting the new year, a little ice-breaker that certainly break Grania's calm demeanor. The combination of public speaking, social interactions and staring what could make it any worse? Everyone is a weirdo? Actually, that calmed her nerves somewhat as she stared down at her desk, examining the etches and scratches that were evident in the laminated surface. She listened intently on each of the introductions that were quickly leading up to her. Her palms were clammy, and face was heating up as she heard some of the awkwardness behind other introductions. Second-hand embarrassment washed over her like a tidal wave, causing her to blush and get flustered after any introduction that had some sort of weird undertone or happening. The main offender was Jay's, the explanation of his snake and it's escape had her staring down at her desk as her cheeks turned a dark red. Oh, just let it bite me now.

As Varei made his introduction it became abundantly clear to Grania that if he had just went then it must have been her turn? However, in her moment of hesitation the rug was pulled out from under her and Kleia, The Tripper, made an anxious introductions. That was so embarrassing. How bad was hers going to be! Maybe if she waited long enough no one would care about her staying dead-silent. Silence. It was silent. Aaaaand more silence and still quiet.

She took a deep breath and stood up quickly with a start, staring into the crowd around her. Grania, be strong and act powerfully. Just as Mom told you.

"I-I..."

Grania trailed off into silence as her cheeks flushed once more and she fidgeted in place trying to figure out what to say, but with all eyes on her she struggled to get anything out of her throat. As if it was stuck. She shut her eyes and took deep slow breaths. Finally, her eyes popped open and she spoke, clenching her fists as she did so.

"I AM GRANIA MONTGOMERY! TOGETHER WE WILL CONQUER OUR STUDIES AND DESTROY ANY OPPOSITION!" The blood-red glow in her eyes seemed to permeate blood-lust when in reality she was so embarrassed her eyes had reacted to her emotional state and inked themselves red, mirroring her sister's. She calmly took her seat afterwards with a soft smile.

Velexana Fairbrooke
If her calculations were correct nearly everyone in the class had finished their introductions aside from Jason. However, if anyone did not know who Jason was already than they belonged in a deep pit of snakes for being such unambitious losers. Befriending the mayor's son would be step one in anyone's goals for ultimate political power in that rusty backwards town. Dating him would be even better, especially with his looks and charm. She glanced around the room, counting the other students to make sure everyone had gone, and it seemed that anyone that was at least mildly important had spoke. Which meant, she could finally go. As the saying went, save the best for last.

The elven lass slowly rose from her seat, allowing her dress to drop down back to the ground from her chair in a quick and heavy manner. She reined it in, grabbing it and pulling it from her seat where she had forcibly crammed it into and strutted up to the front of the classroom waiving her arms up into the air to ensure she could wave to the crowd when they cheered her on.

With a quick twirl she was facing the class and smiling sweetly, and deviously, at them.

"Ahem. I am Velexan Fairbrook of Xania. All of you may refer to me as your Grace, your highness, your Queen, your Goddess, your Overlord, your Beloved Queen, your Greatness, your Stupendous Empress, your Divine Inspiration, your Superior, or The Best Among Us." Satisfied with her introduction Velexana began making her way back to her dress, even before the clapping started how humble of her. She paused halfway back and put a finger up "Oh! I also go by Vel, feel free to call me that! Cute isn't it?" She twirled her hair for a moment, staring up at the ceiling as she admired her own nickname's beauty. After several minutes of that she managed to cram her dress back into her seat and blow a kiss to Jason. Oh dangit! That would have been a good chance to warn everyone to stay clear of her boo. There were always free periods for that.

Jason was interested in how a good amount of his classmates seemed to be lacking in confidence... Well accept for a few of course. With Vel finished up inflating her own ego far beyond what her head can contain Jason stood up ready to make friends with everyone. Doing as he has done before plenty of times he straightened himself and cleared his throat. Last minute he decided against using his silver tongue since that was not gonna do him any good. It was bad enough that pretty much everyone in the room would be under the effects of his aura so he wanted to try to do things as normal as possible.

"Hello everyone, names Jason Bladesong, aspiring bard, avid bloodball player, and all around party dude. I hope that we all find a way to get along since we are gonna be seeing a lot of each other for the next 4 years. Oh and party at my house on Saturday to celebrate the beginning of the year." Taking his seat he turned back listening to the rest of the class. It looked like they had a good sized number of classmates who all were so different. He was pretty sure that things were going to be very interesting.

Once all the students finished introducing themselves Mrs. Lovegood threw a dagger at Xanros' desk. "Since this is the first day I'll let you off easy for coming late to my class since. Anyways," she said pulling down a list in front of the board. "Just so you are reminded since some forget or seem to never check this is the list for what parties you are assigned too. Whenever you are task with group projects this is the group you will be in. I will warn you as well that grading for these projects is based on participation so if someone fails to do any work then it will negatively impact everyone. This is to represent what would happen if you were in a bad spot and a member of your party was being lazy. Speaking of which your first assignment is a simple one, all you have to do is get to know your party members and give me a paper with a list of one thing you learned about your party members. You can start now since today is supposed to be an easy day."

Venus Darkcaster
The Class President

Venus felt somewhat giddy as she learned each of her classmates' names, making sure to note at least one distinct characteristics for each of them so she could tell who's who faster. Of course there were some whom she didn't need to for she was already way too familiar with them. One of which was her bratty tutee who apparently remembered her name yet refuse to address her properly. Then there was his equally irksome blue-haired friend who was apparently named Rielle Montgomery...

Wait, that sounded awfully familiar.

Oh no!

The class president took a look to her party list and immediately held back the urge to scream. She sank her face to her hand out of utter disappointment, silently cursing her luck for putting her in the same party as the female delinquent. Delinquents were known for their bad grades so Venus was very concerned since her grades would be linked with all her party members.

Nonetheless, she has to keep on being positive. She scanned the room for her other members, her eyes landing on the charming white-haired boy in the second row- Jason Bladesong. Based on his introduction, he seemed to be... your average popular boy, although Venus couldn't deny that he appeared to be very likeable. Hopefully he won't let her down. Venus then moved on the next person in her list named Grania Montgomery. She was the one who had the most encouraging introductory line so far. Conquering studies and destroying opposition? She sounded like the perfect party member... although her surname was sort of concerning. The next one was another white-haired but a female this time. She mentioned something about not going to school for a long time so Venus made a mental note to make sure that her return will be absolutely pleasant. The next two ones didn't sound bad either. Titainia Ur-Ieno, the tallest person in their class, seemed to be a good addition to their team thanks to her strong physique. On the other hand, Ignus Bashura appeared to be a lax student. Venus could only hope that none of them would drag her grades down either.

When the teacher was done and told them their task (after throwing a dagger to the rowdy latecomer), Venus wasted no time and immediately stood up. "Okay everyone, you heard the teacher! Kindly gather with your groupmates, form a circle, and then get to know one another!" She began, cupping her hands over her mouth as some sort of makeshift megaphone. "All group one, please come over here so we can start our task with no delay!" She raised a hand with a small smile on her face.

Titainia Ur-ieno

The morning so far hadnt been exactly pleasant. The giant guards of the embassy her father and her were staying at while in Elmville had woken her up before the sun had even touched the sky. Yet she wasnt very perturbed by that, after all princesses are no exception to the duty of giants. She awoke with a start and immediately began to don her robes and pelts, she would wait on her jewels this was their last day to tidy up after all. She went out into the yard area, a low wall boxing the area in And proceeded to rip a small tree out root and stem, before casting it on the ground and beginning to cut the wood into measured logs. The sound of a thunderous cry from one of the Great goats they had brought from the mountains being cut short let her know that breakfast would soon be ready. By the time the lamb was roasting on the fire her father had joined them and the suns rays were barely penetrating the sky.

They ate for a quarter of an hour before titainia tried and failed to sneak off. "To where will you run little one?" her father said between bites of mutton. Having been caught she whirled on her heel to face her father, only to fill the wind sink from her sails as he stood. "I..i..dont want to go father, what could they possibly offer us besides a waste of time." her father smiled placeing a massive hand on her shoulder and passing her the backpack. "Are my orders a waste of time to you? Dear child, all things you wish not to do are going to feel like a waste of time. You do them because it is your duty and Duty is what gives purpose." the giant kings words were soft yet carried the weight of a mountain. "But...what if i get lost." she said sheepishly looking at the ground in shame. "Oh im sure that wont be a problem" the titan lord said as his grip tightened and he whirled on his heel hurling his daugther clean over the horizon in the direction of the school.
~~~
Titainia's landing surely loomed badass as her heels and fist slammed into the cobblestone streets just outside of the school. However internally it hurt quite a bit. Her knees ached, and her shoulder would be sore for the rest of the day. Next time she would make sure she was gone before her father decided to help. Nonetheless she rose and went to her class managing to make it on time. However she spent the majority of the mingling time silently observing the class. Just as she thought she was the only giant there. The rest were an assprtment of smolfolk and even a few blighted ones. She noticed one of the females begin to attempt to enforce the elder smolfolks order. Then a sense of dread washed over her No...on the first day really?!? she had noticed that the students were looking at a paper with writing on it. Sure enough her own desk had one on it as well. Yet the letters might as well have been written in Gibberish as they were little more than meaningless scribbles. No matter she could do this, all she had to do was sit still for long enough and surely someone would tell her where she should go.
Ignus "Iggy" Bashura
The vampire was already up throughout the most of the night, not because he was nocturnal but mostly on account of his jitters. The suns rays had just began to peek through the blinds causing iggy to instinctively reach for his finger breathing a sigh of relief that he had remembered to put the sun ring on. He could hear his parents shifting as they awoke and he took the steps four at a time to arrive at the bedroom door at the same time as his father. "Took ya long enough pa...todays the day right?" the long haired man just smiled and ruffled his sons hair. "That it is boy, let's go get the ladies their breakfast and ill walk you there once we have." a smirk crept across Iggy's face "Fine...lets get this over with."
~~~

It would take the two of them only about a half hour to wrangle up enough rabbits for the day, they even managed to get some wild spices and vegetables on the way back to town. By the time they arrived back home Iggy's mother and sister had already awoken and were waiting for the rabbits which his mother began to promptly skin as his sister cleaned them and seperated them into piles of meat and pelts. Once done his mother passed him the bowl that held the rabbits blood. Granted this was a relatively new part of their morning, and he kinda was nauseated, not at the blood but rather the amount of exctiement he felt at being able to drink it. He gulped dpwn a good amount before putting the rest in a canteen and looking expectantly at his father who just nodded and said his goodbyes the two of them heading out with Iggy practically dragging his old man out of the door. The walk would prove uneventful, a few of the tpwnsfolk who were awake waved at his dad and him and they would wave back but there was no real conversation.
~~~
After arriving at class iggy was quick to find himself a seat in the back of the class where he managed about a minute or two of consciousness before getting bored and starting to nap. He had missed nearly all of the events in the class before the teacher woke him up with an announcement followed in short order by another student. Eventually he decided to glance at the paper that had the list and immediately his smirk faded. "SonofaB**ch" He exclaimed in annoyance as he slammed the paper down in frustration "Hopefully the bloodball teams dont get divided in a dumbass way like this." he grumbled noting that literally all his friends were on another team.
Quinton Ebhah
The landscape was one that was as familiar as it was terrifying. Fire was everywhere, buildings were reduced to rubble to the point where it was impossible to tell where he even was. Yet he knew already where he was...the aether. The ornately clad bodies that floated in around the destruction as if waterlogged corpses at sea. He had only just started taking in the sheer scale of the devestation around him when everything shook as though the world had been struck by a hammer. At first he thought it was an earthquake until it happened again, and again, and yet again. That was when he realized what it was...footsteps. On the horizon it became clear what was making them, a twisted figure whose head scraped the clouds and whose massive horns vanished into them. Despite knowing he was but a dust mite in front of this thing quin didn't run, every fiber of his being shouted fpr him to flee but as he opened his mouth instead he heard himself say. "FACE ME COWARD!" the large creature steeled its gaze on him smiling to reveal jagged teeth the size of skyscrapers. "Brave little one...yet you cannot save them...you cannot even save yourself." Its voice caused everything to vibrate but before he could even beging to wonder what or who this thing was the creature pointed its hand palm flat to him unleashing an unfathomably powerful blast of hellish energy. Quin could feel himself vaporizing until he felt a thud and everything went black.
~~~
He jolted awake in his bed turning to hee the backpack his mother had tossed onto the bedroom floor to awaken him. He swallowed hard and wiped the sweat away from his forehead. "Breakfast is on the table sweetie, ive got to go you know how to get to the school right?" he nodded and she continued "Okay dont be late...i love you." again he nodded quitely responding in turn. She was gone before he could say much else anyway. He sighed as he rolled onto his back and twiddled his finger in the air drawing his antigravity rune before activating it and hovering out of bed. His feet did not tpuch the gound even once as he dressed himself and wolfed down his breakfast trying his best to push the dream out of his mind. It was one he had been having for nearly a year now and while it had lost its initial shock it was no less disturbing. He managed to get his way outside just as the suns rays began to tickle the sky. It was long walk through the city to the school, but then again he wasnt walking. Even still he had to actually try a bit to get there on time, occasionally propelling himself forward off of a particularly high ceiling. While soothing, even weightless flight wouldnt calm his jitters today. If the dream wasnt bad enough today was his first day of school outside of his mothers tutalage. He only prayed Ris had also decided to arrive on time.
~~~
When he made it to class it was a good time before the bell. Yet he was not the first one there. No matter he knew he wouldnt be either way. Instead of introducing himself or anything of the sort he moved towards the seat nearest to the door and waited for the teacher to address the class trying to keep his head down did little to help him however considering his long hair swirled around him as if he were under water. As the teacher finally announced the party listings Quinton sighed an audiable sigh of releif to find that he was in Fenris's party. Immediatly his eyes began scanning the crowd hoping his friend was in his usual form. Sure enough he spotted him and scurried to his friend side. He thought about calling out to him, but decided that would attract unnessicary attention. Once he got close enough he poked his friend in the shoulder "Good morning Ris they have placed us in the same party is that not wonderful." he said in his usual cordial and soft tone.
Jace Cunningham
Jace was about to reply to Jason's question until the blonde girl abruptly stood up. Apparently, she had about enough whiplash from the poofy dress. The guy's head tilted a bit, while observing how she handled the situation. A little good morning here with a drizzle of redirection and solution there. Effortless. Jace silently chuckled at the show. Unfortunately, the entertainment had to leave and go somewhere behind the room.
It didn't take long for their teacher to randomly pop up. Here we go. He leaned back in his seat, while Mrs. Lovegood brought up parties. Right, those. He didn't mind group work, but who exactly was in party 2 again? Jace curiously glanced around the room.
Question after question came up. The student was already looking off into the distance, only partially listening to the teacher's answers. He snapped back to reality though once Lovegood's tone shifted. It was time for introductions. Jace put a fist under his chin after realizing how long the wait would be. He and his best friend were seated in the second row, and introductions were starting from the back. It'd take a while before it got to their turn. Regardless, Jace looked over his shoulder at the people behind the room. It was respectful and handy to know their names anyway. So, he took mental notes of all their introductions.
First up, Venus Darkcaster. She was the class president . . made sense. It looked like they'll be seeing a lot more of each other than he thought. You know, since they'd have to work with one another throughout their terms. Rielle Montgomery. Casual and kind of laid back. Jason. Let a snake out. Why did he even have- gah never mind. To each their own. Have fun, dude. Mikael Morningstar. Dry. Fenris Goldwren. Tried to befriend the earlier unleashed snake. An Hulong. Smiles. Varei Miyako. Pointed out his last name and stated he was the younger brother of the Vice President of the Student Council before adding a few other facts. Kleia Kellis. Nervous . . er excited. Quinton Ebhah. Quick, but not as quick as Jace. Arlosk and Telith. A pair of cousins. Ignus Bashura. Bloody hell. Oh wait, what's this? An obviously shy girl stood up. Ah, but she was the winner by far when she suddenly screamed out her name, Grania Montgomery. Jace almost laughed at the unexpected switch. It was a nice unpredictable intro. Titainia Ur-leno. Slayer of men . . and stuff. Velexana Fairbrooke. The guy almost cringed when Vel blew a kiss to Jason. Ooh how could you beat that. Jace's silent thought was laced with sarcasm before Jason stood up for his turn. This was exactly why the charmer was his best bro, a party on Saturday. That was something to look forward to.
Then it was his turn. Jace stood up before casually leaning against the backrest of his seat, "Jace Cunningham, Class VP. Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday." That was it. If anything, Cunningham could have rung familiar to most students. Derek Cunningham, Jace's father, was the Council of Adventurers's youngest member. However, Jace would rather not entertain it. On that note, the student sat back down and shifted his gaze to Mrs. Lovegood . . in time for her to throw a dagger.
Party time. While the president made some sort of megaphone, the VP calmly sat back in his seat and raised two fingers in the air, "Group 2 over here." Him and Velexana were already on the same side of the room, so it made sense to have the rest of them gravitate to the corner they already claimed.
Steve FreelingSteve had seated himself in the middle row, not caring one way or the other where he sat. The tall and slender considered himself a simple boy, his blue eyes and dark brown hair nothing special. His style of dress was also simple, consisting of a T-shirt, a pair of jeans, and a pair of sneakers. His introduction had been the most complicated thing about him and even the introduction itself wasn't all that difficult to grasp.
"Hi, everyone. I'm Steve. I know a whole bunch of languages, and I can pretty much handle myself in a fight. Hopefully, we can all get along. Oh, yeah, and it's only fair to warn you that my mom's psycho and she's been known to show up at school and try to raise hell since she doesn't care one iota about the restraining order, so you'll want to avoid her."
It's true. They should avoid her. I saw her with my own eyes when she tried to kill Dad all those years ago. Steve had never seen a gun click empty so many times when it was in fact completely loaded. How the gun had clicked was anyone's guess. It's not like she had the safety on. Steve had a sneaking suspicion why, though. She was so blinded by Dad's refusal to give her money to go get drunk that she fired too many times in rapid succession. It's a good thing she was unsuccessful. Who would even take care of us with Dad dead and Mom in prison? Uncle Gregory stays drunk off his ass and Aunt Akari would probably never get a restraining order against her own sister regardless of how much she disagrees with her actions. He shook his head. It's not even worth thinking about. Before long, all the introductions went by in a flash. This oughta be interesting. His eyes widened with shock as his jaw dropped when the knife embedded itself into Xanros' desk.
"Nantekotta i?"* He muttered under his breath. She could have killed him. Without skipping a beat, Mrs. Lovegood moved on to the next thing, which was the assignment. Yeah, I guess that should be easy for me. I learn pretty quickly, after all, and reading people comes pretty naturally to me.
Telith had once again frozen up entirely what the teacher had just asked them to do wasn’t easy whatsoever. He would... have to talk to a bunch of people he didn’t know and Telith was totally tapped out of bravery at this point after talking to the other dragon and introducing himself. He just didn’t want to talk to them... what if he screwed up? Or accidentally blinded someone? his Freak out due to the snake would have hardly gone unnoticed. The air around Telith still arced with electricity the arcs having grown in intense to the point where they were rather hard to miss. telith curled up on his chair not wanting to move a muscle... maybe they would ignore him? Telith hoped so the dragon not realising that he was causing a little fireworks display around him.
Approaching two people, only one of them she recognised from the list the fae boy... Fenris, near him, however, was another person with long hair... there was something different about him.. she could exactly put her finger on it right now though. approaching the two of them she gave them both flirtatious look. "hello cuties looks like we are going together over the years lovely hey?" she said with a sweet tone her attention turning to Quinton "and what about you cutie? hadn't heard you say you're now?" she eyes him with a smile her tail coiling around the boy as she spoke. then another boy spoke out Jace.. was it? oh well, he was calling the group to there side of the room spinning around to face him her tail slowly uncoiling itself from Quinton. before walking over to Jace "well heelloo there"
"If the rest of group three could please make their way here, that would be greatly appreciated." Hulong's voice cut through the noisy din of the classroom, amplified by the inherent power that his kind possessed.
Getting to know his party members, that seemed like an easy enough task to tackle. Hopefully, he'd be able to work alongside them without any hostilities forming amongst the group. He also hoped that he, himself, wouldn't be the source of any grudges. He's been told by his brother that it would be easy for others to misunderstand him, given his deprived social skills and cold disposition. Still, he's sure that he'll be able to get through the years to come without much trouble, and perhaps he'll even make a few friends.
"Speaking of which your first assignment is a simple one, all you have to do is get to know your party members and give me a paper with a list of one thing you learned about your party members. You can start now since today is supposed to be an easy day."
Kleia felt a lump in her throat as she slowly stood up from her desk. "Group 1..." She mumbled softly, though the little voice was drowned out by the call of their so eloquent class president. She felt quite the opposite of Venus and was therefore instantly intimidated. The rest of the group numbers were called by her classmates and, eventually, everybody seemed to be moving on their way. Kleia grabbed her cup and tried not to squeeze it too tight between her palms as she crossed the room to join the party members that had already accumulated. From the basic auras she could sense between them it seemed that they were a diverse group with a multitude of different personalities. The academy probably accounted for that far ahead of time. The petite naiad felt a smile curl into the corner of her mouth until an unsettled shout behind her sent a chill soaring up her spine.
"SonofaB**ch!"
She quickened her steps over to where group one was gathering and silently hoped she wouldn't have anybody frightening on her team. Although, she did soon realize that the whole point of attending the academy was to find her confidence by being exposed to things that frighten her. Kleia sighed and leaned against an empty desk, managing a small smile to greet everyone.
"Do we all have to turn in a paper? Or just one with everybody's things on it...?" She idly twisted a lock of silver between her fingers, keeping her chin tipped down and smile shy. Her heart could have been pounding a thousand miles an hour, but she was so happy to finally be interacting normally with a group of peers.
*apologies for lack of format I'm just lazy atm*
After introductions, the teacher reminded them of their parties, and gave them their first "project". Well, knowing about your party members is crucial, or things can go very wrong, and very quick in a fight.
Varei moved towards Jace, the VP of the class apparently. Well, he offset Venus in a way that seems like they'd balance each other out at least.
He sat down in a seat that was now empty, and waited for everyone to group up. Tails furiously swishing about at the thought of talking to possible new friends... Damnit, his Kitsune's side of him was leaking more than usual. His dad was always bubbly at the thought of meeting possible return clients, though he learned not to show it too much pretty quick once he realized it tended to have the opposite effect. Kitsune in general loved meeting possible play mates. His tails had wagged the entire day when he first met Rielle, who was just as athletic as he was. He really wished they didn't have such a mind of their own. Well, for now he'd just have to pay more attention when the conversation about the project starts so he doesn't over do it.
He looked around the room, and finally realized that there was actually a few girls in the same party. Now his tails were wagging out of nervous anxiety... he was not great when talking to the opposite sex. Grania and Rielle were the only exceptions, for obvious reasons. Hopefully he could get through this without having to directly talk to any of them for now. If he could get used to being around them everyday, it would eventually be fine. But for now, he figured he should be able to get by for today by talking to the party as a whole when he needed to. He just had to hope none of them decided to specifically talk to him for a reason other than the needed info...
With the introductions finished and their first assignment dished out Jason didn't skip a beat to get away from Vel when Venus called their group to move over to her. He did slow up though when he heard Ignus scream about how the groups were picked. He wanted to kind of agree but at the same time it was good for them to get to work with other people and not just their friends. Turning back to move he noticed that someone who was supposed to be in his party was moving for some reason. If he could remember (and it wasn't difficult to since she was the only giant in class) it was Titania Ur-Ieno, the princess of the Giants of Ur. He did remember that his dad did mention that there were some important visitors in town. He just didn't expect that one of them would be in his class.
"Hey, your Titania right?" he asked stepping up to her. "Seems the class pres wants us all to get to her so you might wanna get the move on before she starts making a fuss." Reflexively he layered his words a little bit with his charm since he wasn't sure why she wasn't moving. He turned to get to the rest of the group so they could get things started.
"Do we all have to turn in a paper? Or just one with everybody's things on it...?"
"Well they all are going to just say the same thing so we could all just share while one of us writes everything down," he suggested.
Fenris
Fenris watched the class go around and introduce themselves, slowly dozing off on his desk. He barely even noticed as more people came in, until he was poked in the shoulder. To his surprise and utter excitement, it was finally someone he recognized. “Quinton!” The fae called out, practically leaping from his seat and joyously wrapping his arms around his friend. “I was nervous you weren’t coming.” He said, squeezing one last time before letting go. Suddenly changing from a listless, tired boy to an ecstatic, some would say bubbly, companion was something that ran in the family. Most fae were rather emotional, whether that be focused on one emotion or jumping between a wide spectrum of them. His father was more on the jolly side of things, pretty typical for a fae of nature, although when he's upset, he'll flip through a bunch of feelings. While his mother broke stereotypes, being a stoic and almost cold individual, because of this she's often mistaken for a high elf or close to it.
As he was about to answer his friend properly, the demon, who'd summoned the portal from before approached them. Ris simply nodded along, quite unsure of how to act. He tensed a little when her tail coiled around Quinton, pushing back the instincts to pull him away. The demon, Arlo? Arok? Arlis?, was still very much a stranger in his eyes, and something in the back of his mind told him to keep Quin away. But acting dramatically would just cause more trouble. Instead, the fae opted to place a hand on his friend's shoulder, a sign of comfort, mostly to reassure himself.
Ris relaxed as she moved on, barelypicking "Come on, we got a project to get to." He said, still in a chipper tone, although a bit calmer than before. Leading his friend by the wrist, Ris rambled a bit about his day, mostly about the cute snake and his wishes to befriend it, before he sat down in a seat where their party would be gathered.
Sarah
Sarah was twitching her fingers as she waited for it to be her turn to introduce herself. She hoped she wouldn't embarrass herself. She listened to all the other introductions and secretly laughed at her brother when one of his snakes escaped during class. It couldn't affect her so she wasn't worried until she realized that they were in a class with other people. She silently scolded her brother for making a scene on the first day of school. Eventually, once it was her turn, she stood up and introduced herself. "Hello! My name is Sarah. I'm thrilled to be working with all of you and hope we can all get along and work together to excel and have fun." She sat down again and immediately started worrying if her introduction was too similar to the others. Then the teacher mentioned getting to know their parties. She looked at the piece of paper and saw she was in party three. She recognized the name Telith as the cousin of the demoness who had summoned the portal, and because of his extremely nervous introduction. She thought he might be a good place to start so she walked over to him. "Hey. I'm Sarah. Looks like we're in the same party. You're Telith right? I like your cousi-.. Hoodie... Uhhh....." "Well that went worse than expected." She thought.
Jason(Jay)
Jason crept ever closer to Moon, being careful not to startle her. Then one of his classmates transformed into a snake and slithered over to her. Just around that time a bright light filled the room. When Jason could see again Moon was already slithering back into his backpack. He sighed with relief that she didn't bite anyone due to the flash of blinding light. He casually grabbed his backpack and zipped it shut. He would get Moon into her container later. He sat down and listened to the other introductions until the teacher told them to get to know their parties. He knew he was in party two but he checked the list anyway to see who else was in party two. Then he looked around and noticed one guy holding up two fingers and heard him say: "Group two over here." so he headed over with his snakes. "Hey. I'm Jay. Sorry about the snake scare earlier. Moon gets restless easy. You're Jace, right? And... Sorry, I forgot your name. Velma maybe? I'm not the best with names."
telith was rather content to just sit by himself and not have anyone talk to him hulong‘s request was startling to Telith a small jolt of electricity darting off and hitting Sarah’s hair making it fiz up somewhat like when you rubbed a balloon on it. tel having raised his head just enough so he could see the half vampire the two dot in the Abyss of darkness that was the interior of his hood glowed a bright orange, well until he heard what the girl had to say they slowly shifted to a whity orange colour, if there was one conversation he was confident about it was the usual one about how attractive arlosk was and how he was her cousin “n-no need.... to... try..and umm hide it.. yeah... arlosk... she’s.... very hot.. well.. that’s what most... people say...” he paused for a moment change to a sitting position instead of being curled up on the seat “b-b-but before you....ask...im.. not taking my... hoodie off.” the reason for him saying that was a good one he’d had people approach him numerous times after getting to know arlosk they wondering if Telith looks as good as she did.... it was kinda why he wore the thing to begin with and his total lack of self confidence, sometimes he really wished he could be more like her... but alas he wasn’t. “But... Umm.. guess we...will... be working together... then... er... oh... you...what... me... to tell arlosk you like Her? I’m... sure... it would be easier.... then... err.. just...” Telith kinda trailed off akwardly then stopped talking looking at Sarah with a slightly line of white emerging Form the darkness of the hood a tiny smile.
Class had gone by well with everyone finished the assignment with some finishing faster than others. Jason's groups had been one of the quicker ones since he had helped to make sure that no one tried to not participate. Besides he wanted to learn more about those in his party since he was gonna be working with them for the next 4 years. Once class was over and everyone scattered toward there next few classes Jason made sure for today to just learn what he could and to try and not draw much attention (if he could that is). So far nothing he came across seemed like it would be difficult to handle to when lunch came he was happy to get some time to socialize with others outside class. First though he went to get something to eat and he was surprised that there was a cafeteria and a tavern (oddly enough with the name Tavern Tavern) at the school. He did remember hearing that because of the things that they will be learning and going through that while attending the school that laws on alcohol and drugs were a little loose. It was most likely because adventures tend to drink a lot between quest (or during them on occasion). Well Jason wasn't that big on drinking but he was sure that the tavern would be a good place to have some fun. Walking in he saw a sign with some rules on it for what was allowed inside.
No killing
No fire
No magic
No complaining about tavern brawls
Just from the look of it Jason was pretty sure that this was not the place for wanting to eat. "Maybe the cafeteria would be better......."
Jason(Jay)
Class went well for Jason. He met some new people, made a couple friends and enemies, and even gave away some venom from Scoots his King Cobra. By the time it was time for lunch, Jason was quite hungry. He found his way to a tavern called "Tavern Tavern" and looked at the menu. Then he ordered a few drinks while he decided. And maybe a few more if anyone challenged him to a drinking match. He hoped someone would. He enjoyed easy wins.
Sarah
Class went terribly for Sarah. She barely spoke, embarrassed herself when she did, and ended up making more enemies than friends. She wanted to just curl up into a ball and sleep for the rest of the day, but since she couldn't do that she did the next best thing, drink. She actually found the tavern on accident but once she found it she knew she needed a drink or four. She went inside and ordered the strongest stuff they had and then added some hot sauce to it. "Bottoms up." She said to herself as she began her downward spiral into nauseating serenity.
Classes went... surprisingly well for the young dragon. Almost every other student was intimidated by his presence due to the stigma surrounding his kin, the ones who weren't may or may not have tried to issue formal duels with him, and his lack of basic social skills put him through a lot of confusion, however—he hasn't caused any permanent corrosive damage to the school and the people in it, as his brother warned him from doing, so he'd say everything was great.
It was in a surprisingly good mood that he went to the cafeteria, ordered the largest plate of food they offered, and began eating.
Arlosk
class had gone great for the demoness, of course, it wasn’t too hard for her, arlosk‘s group seemed to work rather well together. And once class was over well she got a lot of attention for obvious reasons, of course, arlosk humoured them but, she was really more worried about how her cousin was fairing. It turned out for Telith standards things had gone fairly well, but also something interesting came up about a vampire girl, from there class Sarah. Honestly, arlosk was kinda surprised the girl had decided to talk to Telith instead of her directly, it must have meant the vampire girl was shy. eventually made her way to the school's tavern, although not exactly to eat or drink anything in the conventional sense at least. Taverns were a place for people to drown their sorrows and that was what arlosk was looking for and how was to be there but that vampire girl herself, and by the looks of her drinking she seemed to be having a horrible day The perfect target. Arlosk moved up beside Sarah her tail coiling around slightly “hey there Sarah is it? you were talking to my cousin during class right? Anyways I wanted to thank you for at least trying to talk with him” arlosk said this cheerfully with a big smile on her face. ”but it looks like you didn’t have much of a good day no?” she said this with s sweet but concerned voice placing a hand on Sarah’s shoulder “you know if you're having a bad day you really should just drink it away buuuutt I know a way I could help“ arlosk continued to speak with a sweet and kind tone as she walled behind sarah, arlosks tail coiling a bit tighter placing her other arm on the vampires other shoulders almost like a hug but not one “that is if you're ok with it” she finished off speaking.
Telith wasn’t too sure how things went in class personally, he managed to talk a little to his group that was good? Right? He sorta just stuck with that vampier girl for the duration really And of course, he told arlosk About her when he saw her after class. Telith headed to the cafeteria afterwards my himself... but it wouldn’t be that bad right? Instead of going and grabbing something to eat, the hooded dragon boy, found a nice sunny spot to just kinda lay down in and absorb the sunlight as the area around Telith seemed to go darker than the surroundings, he managed to finally relax a little.
Kleia thought that the first class period had gone rather well, though it left the girl incredibly socially exhausted. Who knew speaking and interacting with her peers could be so draining? The idea of lunch didn't excite her all that much, so when everybody started filing into either the tavern - she wondered what sort of a place that might be - or the cafeteria, she avoided both and slipped out into the courtyard.
"I'll just get you some fresh pond water-" She began, smiling down at her sad little lily, then being cut off by her world suddenly spiraling about, a familiar view of the sky following. A good thing her lily was in a plastic container now, or else she would have had to scramble again to save it. Luckily, the flower just floated nearby in a little puddle while its owner sat up slowly, rubbing the back of her head. It was then Kleia noticed the culprit of her fall. Well, it was really her own fault for not paying attention and she realized that, but she couldn't help but wonder what this boy was doing lying outside.
"S-sorry about that...." The girl sat up on her knees and peered curiously at the creature. She remembered him from her class - vaguely - but from another party. What a great start to the school day. She had already tripped over two people.
Varei was walking to the Cafeteria through the courtyard when he saw someone trip over someone sleeping on the ground. He noticed they were both classmates after getting closer to check if they were alright. "You two okay?" He noticed a lily in a small puddle of water. For a second Varei could have sworn it looked sad being in such a condition, before shaking his head and turning back to the other two. He remembered Kleia's name, since he was sitting nearby during class, and Telith was the one to cause a flash of light if he recalled correctly. He wasn't sure what to do since it seemed neither had noticed him ask about their well being yet, so he just kinda stood there awkwardly.
Telith wasn’t expecting anyone to show up much less someone to tripping over him, at first he didn’t take much notice of the feeling thinking it was just some insect or animal raising his hooded head up a little for a split second one might have been able to catch a glimpse of telith’s actual face although it was almost instantly disappearing into an abyss of darkness two slightly orange orbs left in its place as he saw the girl, fallen on her back The thoughts going through telith’s mind where instantly the worst. Would she be angry? would she try to beat him up? Maybe if he just sat there and didn’t move she’d ignore him? no of course not she started talking to him... but it wasn't an instal or anything she was apologizing? for tripping over him? ok, good sign then right? "i-i-i-its.. fine.. I shouldn't have.. been.. there..." telith mumbled somewhat softly back to her before sitting up looking at the girl.. her name was ... what was it? he hadn't time to think when another person showed up startling telith enough to make him fall face-first into another puddle then getting up again his eyes a deep shade of green as this was totally embarrassing he hardly turned to the other perosn.. it was the elf fox? person right? Varei right? "i...umm.. fine.. just... was kinda... well.. its hard to explain.. its like what plants doo.. but nevermind... im good.. im not sure.. about her though.." telith hoped he had at least gotten the attention off himself
Kleia Kellis
She pushed heaping locks of silver away from her face and let out a soft sigh when she realized his wasn't angry at all. Actually, he apologized? Kleia almost chuckled but wondered if that would be insensitive and shook her head instead.
"No, it's alright. I should have been watching where I was going." She offered a friendly and reassuring smile, then looked up at the other who had joined them. "I'm alright. Just a little clumsy. I guess I'm used to it." Her cheeks tinted pink as she sheepishly rubbed the back of her neck. The whole situation seemed sort of comical and, while she was struggling to keep from bursting into total embarrassment, she was also trying her hardest not to laugh out loud.
"I... recognize you two from my class, but I'm not... totally sure on your names? I'm Kleia." She stuck both her hands out to them to shake and smiled crookedly, obviously a little awkward. A strand of hair slipped across her cheek and covered one of her eyes. "N-nice to meet you."
Sarah
Sarah was only half way through her second drink when she felt something wrap around her. The slight brush of breath against her skin. Her vampire senses could hear their hair moving slightly as they moved. Then they spoke. "Hey there, Sarah is it? You were talking to my cousin during class right?" Uh oh. It was Arlosk. Sarah's heart beat shot through the roof as she realized it was the demoness' tail that was wrapped around her. "Anyways, I wanted to thank you for at least trying to talk to him. But it looks like you didn't have much of a good day no? You know if you're having a bad day you really should drink it away, buuuutt, I know a way I could help. That is if you're ok with it." The demoness' arms were draped across Sarah's shoulders, and her tail coiled around her even more. "W-w-what way were you thinking?..." Sarah stammered.
arlosk could practically taste the cocktail of emotions form the vampire girl already, this would be... delicious, and besides the girl was just so tense, arlosk was just trying to help her, well that's what she had said to herself. she couldn't help but giggle at how much the girl was stammering it answer by god she was adorable mess almost as cute as her cousin buuut not really right there "welll cutie, let's just say hmm how do I explain this?" she asked rhetorically. changing her arms form simply draped over Sarah's shoulders, but instead actually pulling her into a hug from behind "lets put it this way, think of me and an emotional vampire, honestly its the best way to describe it, I feed off emotions.. and well aren't you just a three-course meal" as soon ash arlosk finished her explanation her body would emit a low glow, along with Sarah and Arlosk hugged the vampire a little tighter. Sarah would feel many of her negative feeling draining away, this continued for a while before the glow stopped "soo feeling any better cutie? I know I sure am"
Rielle had no escape when the group 'getting to know each other' assignment was given to them. The guy named Jason had easily convinced her to participate and hey, it wasn't really that much of a bother so she didn't mind. She shared a few things about herself, how she and Grania came from out of town and that she definitely had a couple of... odd hobbies. She found herself enjoying it a bit and maybe she wouldn't mind working with these people even if the President was kind of a stickler for rules and she knew that they would eventually clash but Rielle isn't too bothered about it.
First period came and went. And so did the other periods. She didn't share many classes with either MIkael or Xanros, so she was looking forward to lunch so she can finally talk with them again. It was getting a little boring since there wasn't much going on during the first day of classes so by the end of the last class before lunch, Rielle was out of the room in a flash. She would have tried to skip class but it does feel like the teacher was ready to block the door or the windows at any point in time.
Or as for the Barbarian Class teacher, ready to throw down with her if she even tried.
Rielle wandered towards Tavern Tavern. Surely, the two would know where she would go. The cafeteria was fine and all but she felt like the tavern would be where she would feel more at home at. Maybe get a few alcohol in her system and she'd be able to have a little bit more fun during the school day. She propped herself against the wall next to the door to the Tavern, waiting for the two to come.
