Worldspear, (Not So) Hidden caverns

Releasing his grasp on the rift, Marius let out a slow sigh, feeling relief flooding his being. However, he would have to wait to savor it, as their foe was not quite dead yet. Raising his rifle once more, he continued to fire upon the nearly dead creature. Just as he was about to order the others to do the same, when Their Albatross Transport came into view outside the caverns. A large sadistic smile graced the colonel's features as the pilot opened fire on the enemy. 30 Millimeter of high explosive armour piercing death and destruction filled the section of the cavern, tearing up stone, flesh, and bone apart at a rate of 50,000 rounds per second via the two twin linked autocannons mounted on the nose of the transport. To say the sight was nothing short of glorious would be an understatement as the unlikely companions watched as the wretch was reduced to a fine red mist and the occasional chunks of meat.
After 20 seconds of continuous fire (roughly 1 million rounds and 3 Aetherium credits), the Albatross rotated so that the rear hatch could be accessed. Making his way over to the tunnel where he left Albion's body, Marius effortlessly slung the corpse of his comrade over his shoulders, and silently returned to the waiting transport.
Minerva looked upon the colonel and her now deceased friend with sorrow, tears threatening to spill from her mercury eyes. Reverently, she accepted the body and secured it to one of the benches.
Breaking the solemn silence Marius spoke. "Link up with Wilhelm and prepare to depart. We're returning home in six hour. We have a mission to complete, and Albion's death will not be in vain." He said, his tone brokering no arguments. Minerva and Titus, simply nodded in understanding before closing the hatch. Moments later, the transport left the group to regroup with Wilhelm and load up the Puma. Turning to the others, Marius spotted the newcomer. "If you hadn't of intervened when you did, Yusaria and i would probably be dead. You have my thanks cadet. Sadly, our work isn't done. As of this moment you are now under my command, and your first orders are to report on what the science team has discovered."

Yusaria panted heavily, her heart pounding in her ears as she re-processed what was happening around her. Once she spotted a the enemy, she simply opened fire and did not stop firing at it until her weapon ran out of ammunition. To the others, it only lasted about two seconds, but to Yusaria it felt like an eternity, and even longer before she realized the gun had stopped firing anymore. She looked around, seeing the mess that had been left behind by everyone's attacks on the creature. Whatever that thing was, it was definitely, very dead after what she'd just seen hit it. At least, by her own experience with monsters.

Marius started talking to the others, so Yusaria took this time to sit down and rest for a bit. To think about what had just happened. Yes, that creature was dangerous, and absolutely had to be exposed of. Yusaria had no doubts that she had done the right thing in helping them kill it.

But... The end result still left a bad taste in her mouth. And not because she was averse to killing another sentient being. No, she was worried that now, with the first creature she'd ever met who knew who she was gone... Would she ever find her way home?

Yusaria pulled her knees to her chest and rested her chin on them as she tried to figure this out, setting the empty gun on the ground next to her.

Jisieg looked at the two lizardfolk nevously as they spoke about the humans losing fingers, and part of debated on wether or not a raptor was really such a good idea. However he swallowed his fear, if he couldnt mount a raptor how the hell could he hope to save his city. If there was anything left of it that is. Without any more hesitation he slung his leg over the back of the raptor and gently rubbed the side of its neck. "Please don't make me look stupid." he said to the reptile as he looked to jaz and his friend for support.

Worldspear, Hidden Caverns
Hochi was doing the dance of someone who desperately didn't want to die as Ghett unleashed several powerful blows and tore the cavern asunder just with his figure alone; narrowly avoiding boulder after boulder of cavern wall that fell down shaking the broken floor. At long last a moment of stillness bef- an abysmal amount of force shot her backwards and up - the force of the first punch sent her flying backwards and about a meter up. Luckily she was made of an almost rubbery type substance and her bones were more flexible than the average person, so while the blast was violent she didn't feel any pain, and again for the second monstrous blow Ghett landed on the creature. She rolled forward as her feet hit the ground once again.

She stood up brushing her knees and hands off. Watching as Ghett held the entire ceiling up - then an attack airship come in briefly laying heavy fire on the creature before opening its bay door and taking off once again.

She turned and looked at Ghett again who was struggling to keep the cavern from collapsing on them before Marius handed out an order to her.

Hochi: "Not to be rude Colonel but our ally is having a bit of difficulty holding this cavern up above us. Let's regroup outside and discuss this?"

She said this a bit loudly so that Yusaria would be within earshot. She climbed her way out of the cavern and sat on a rock on the exterior eastern side. Before looking at Marius with one closed eye - blood seeping into it from her raw skin, and one eye open.

Hochi: "I'm not sure if you'll find this information useful but Na'homid, the creature we just fought... its abilities are as follows: Super speed, Either dimensional or molecular abilities allowing it to pass through walls, extreme strength, can generate portals, and is a high level telepath capable of bending wills and weaving illusions. I did manage to gather some samples of its blood but they'll need to be taken back to a lab. Is there anything else you wanted to know?"

Ezekiel floated with spectral wings as best as he could but he knew he wouldn’t be able to stay up in the air for much longer. And at this stage, he had a lot of things to do and very short time. What to do. What to do. Ezekiel knew the flying monsters were close, he could hear the flapping of their wings but that was muffled by the sound of the marching of monsters under him. He didn’t have much hope for what was to come, he couldn’t hear Prince Regent announce his battle cry and he didn’t see the flying Pegasus’ nearing his location. I guess I’ll have to go for Plan B. Plan B in Ezekiel’s book usually meant improv and doing something he had no plan for. He took a deep breath in than out and got ready to face the already crazy horde of monsters near him.

Ezekiel was already in the crux of the flying monster’s travel, he managed to cut a hole in their formation so that he had some breathing space but he was still utterly surrounded. Ezekiel unsheathed the battle axe from his back and held it over his shoulder getting ready to throw it like a spear. As he held it, began to show bright red cracks, this was his magic at work and he wasn’t exactly proud of it. Ezekiel never had any inclination to learn a lot of magic, he had everything he needed from genuine skills to a dragon language that had a whole array of things he could do. But his time in the military forced him to learn some basic magic. He only knows a few spells and they aren’t exactly the strongest there is but pretty devastating when used by or in large quantities. The spell he’s using is called ‘Agni Ranara’ or in common tongue, ‘Fire Shot’. It imbues any object of the caster’s choice and after a certain time, explodes into a large fiery explosion.

He prepped the axe for the throw, but he found waiting the perfect moment would take too long. So he threw it and it traveled pretty far. The axe flew left of him and into a large part of the flying monster’s horde. The axe’s flight was beginning to cut short after only a few seconds of flying, the axe finally blew up. The explosion was large, he didn’t quite know the amount of flying monster’s that were affected by the explosion but he had two hope there were enough dead to make an actual dent. The explosion however affected him, Ezekiel underestimated the size of it. While it didn’t damage his armor it definitely blew him out of the sky. As he fell, the flying monsters began diving after him, he didn’t quite know what to do but he had a good idea on how to counter it.

As a flying monster neared Ezekiel, he grabbed it by it’s neck and then began to imbue some magic into it. Fire Shot. He held it as the timer began to tick down, it bit at Ezekiel’s armor but barely made a scratch. Ezekiel timed the mere seconds that ticked down of his personal explosive device. It reached soon reached it’s peak and that’s when he pushed it away from him. After this, he’d definitely be stuck grounded. At that moment of of thought, it exploded and he hoped for the best.

Now falling even more and faster, Ezekiel would have to put up with possibly thousands of monsters. Now all he has to do is stick the landing.

"Well, you weren't exactly clear about whom you were referring to, forgive me I'm used to your kind being...unsavory without warning to say the least." Dinara would not get into the particulars of racism against her kind, she was was, however, a bit disappointed that she couldn't scare the old man, but perhaps with something better next time, she did, however, give the prince an odd look when he yelped in fear. She wasn't even trying to scare him, so what was he frightened about. "You're quite certain that he's an adventurer?" She asked as she watches the prince climb to the nest as Jakon assigned everyone to do something and handed her a compass. She looked at it and followed him to the front of the ship and looked at it oddly, not because she didn't understand the concept, she'd just never used a device to navigate before, she usually used the stars and the position of the suns or her senses to do that. "And which way are we going exactly?" She asked twirling the compass around in her hands to look at from front to back

After his allies had left the cavern Ghett gathered more of the power strong to shift the rocks around allowing the cavern to seal safely behind him as he joined them outside on a rather large clearing which ended in a sheer cliff face. He looked at the tattered ground of nebulae with a slight bit of satisfaction. However his grief kept him silent as he reduced his size so that he would fit in the craft once it returned from getting the other commando and his markings stopped glowing. He nodded as the colonel spoke about leaving soon. Six hours still wouldnt be enough to wrap his mind around what he had just learned.

His sons, and the sons and daughters of so many other Giants were not only dead but were likely morphed into abominations like his own children. The thought of it brought his blood to a boil. Whatever enemy this was had just earned itself a lesson in the ways of the Giants. The very same lesson that the cosmic elves had learned. His rage built higher as he envisioned seeking vengeance on the kin of Na'homid. However he caught himself and buried it deep with the rest of his rage, a being like him had no place for fury. He was The Titan Lord, his people required him to have a level head.

Though it took nearly everything he had, he swallowed the grief and spoke. "Marius, must we wait? This moutain is no longer as comfortable as it once was." he had dropped the formality in his voice, sounding tired. He didnt look it however. The bead of sweat on his brow had been wiped away and he looked no worse for wear than he had began.

She sensed the four beings long before the mountain came into view. One of them seemed to fly off towards a fifth that came into her range last. After the mountain came into view she noticed large boulders dotting the landscape in front of it. A grin adorned her face as she flipped over so that she could see Ayla as she said "I detect five total, they are split up now. We shall address the three gathered and wait for the other two once we have established the Order of things." or rather she thought the words to her as their speed would make talking kinda pointless. However her grin faded away as she approached the gathered outsiders on the cliff. There were four of them, yet she could only perceive the minds of three. The fourth wore garb clearly not of the MRL. Nontheless, she landed on the edge of the cliff a few meters from the group. Telekinetic energy surrounding her and flooding her nervous system. "A pleasant season for entering nations and causing a ruckus isnt it? Seems to be alot of that going around lately." she said as she addressed the Commandos.

Jokan smiled at her question about the prince "Im not sure no, but he seems to have his mind made up. We are heading southeast about thirty five miles." he said as he showed her the map. "Navigating the sands can be treacherous and we may get turned around fairly often. Keep us moving in the right direction, one eye on the compass, one eye ahead." he said metaphorically. Meanwhile Celia had just finished dropping the sail and tied it to the mast. However rather than a loose sheet the sail was a strange golden colored almost metallic cloth that was rigid. As the sunlight hit the sail it began to shimmer and soften so that a gentle breeze caused it to soften it up so that it was more akin to a sail boat. The servants had disappeared below deck and the prince stood eagerly atop the mast with a telescope scaning the horizon for what he hoped to find.

The Battle of Grenya.

The cloud of creatures crashed into the airborne pegusus riders even as their hail of arrows dropped thousands of them. However as they were being swarmed a bright flash and a firey explosion revealed a clear area as nearly ten thousand cyribdian raptors were obliterated. More poured in a downward spiral after the Ezikeil as he fell only to fly into a fireball that dropped those who gave chase. The Pegasus riders were quick to take advantage of the gap fighting their way into the open space before it filled in and were able to form a sort of spiraling orbshaped phalanx where they were able to route and cut down nearly a fifth of the winged creatures. But it came at a heavy cost, majestic Pegasus and gold clad riders fell from the skies landing in bloddy shredded heaps. Nearly half of their force was decimated yet they followed behind the horde lobbing explosive arrows.

The Archer corps did much better the enemy had been pushed into an even tighter cloud by the Explosions and phalanx combo making the magical piercing and explosive arrows drop dozens and even sometimes hundreds of them per shot. The space between Na'Surs army and the fortress city was rapidly filling with the evaporatong corpses of the birds. By the time the cloud reached the city it only a third the size it was when it took flight and with the Pegusus riders bringing up the rear the cloud didnt last long. However they took many men with them, by the time they were dispersed the enemy had gained more than a hundred meters closer and more than ten thousand men had lost their lives.

Meanwhile Ezekiel found out the hard way that the Cyribdian energy shield had a domed ceiling, and was very hard. At his speed he bounced off of the invisible barrier with a soundless impact and fell an additional sixty meters to the ground below. Luckily the trajectory put a few hundred meters between him and the approaching line of horrors. Behind him rode the Old guard less than a mile away and closing in fast to reinforce the hero. From their closer perspective they could see the faint glow around the towering obilesk in the center growing slowly brighter

He began to give the order for his troops to prepare the Blast cannons for long range shots. Within only a few minutes the city would be in range of their longest ranged weaponry, then the battle he had been waiting on would finally begin.

Once Jinsieg got on the raptor, Hac patted the back of the raptor. "Now time to get to the really show" Hac said as he dug a claw into the raptor to rile him up. "If you can calm him down after he gets riled up, he's yours" Hac said smiling as the raptor began getting riled up and running.

Upon hearing the giant's concerns, Marius made to answer, only to pause. Wordlessly his right hand drifted towards his grenade belt, when he felt a familiar psychic presence approaching from above. Gripping the Arcane grenade, marius began to go into a semi trance-like state, known as the Pale Way. A mental technique developed to combat the Cosmic Elves, by strengthening one's psyche and producing mental barriers.
"Speak for yourself Bhanell. Your kind has been violating the armistice for over three decades now. I think it's only fair to cause a bit of a Ruckus as you put it." Marius replied, turning to face his long time adversary, the arcane explosive in clear site, serving as a warning and a promise. "As you well know, the Worldspear is considered neutral ground, so we are not truly violating any agreements. And we kept to the agreed altitude when passing through your nation." He added with condescension, daring her to try something. It would be one less enemy to the Republic and her allies. But also a waste of ammo and Thaumic arcano missiles.

Rahu was unaware of the progress his city was making in the annihilation of the raptor cloud, so focused was he on his target. Thinking logically, the shield had to have a finite amount of energy, otherwise they had no way to win. Further logical thought brought him to the conclusion that the power of the shield would not be equally spread, but rather focused in the point of most exposure: the front.

It followed, then that the sides were weaker, which is why he chose them as his entry point. Still cloaked, he drew back his bow, prepping for the strongest single shot he had taken so far in the siege. The arrow that formed in his bow was more like a lance, with an incandescent array of colours swirling around it. He could imbue qualities into his arrows, such as “pierce” or “burn”. Some qualities did not match, such as “pierce” or “bludgeon” but others enhanced each other, like “fire and wind”. Using these enhancing qualities, the bow bent back almost into a “U” shape with his arm straining, he released, the brilliant lance leaving the “stealth zone” and reavealjng itself, moving at such speed it seemed to teleport the 50 metres between him and the side of the shield.

Danira listens to Jakon as he explains where they are going, in what direction and for how long. She still wasn't entirely sure why they needed it to find their way around, but she supposed the job was easy enough so she shouldn't complain “If you say so,” she said giving the compass an odd look, she'd heard of them before but the elders dismissed them as unreliable, that in certain areas outside forces could make them go crazy, point in the wrong direction and get men lost, the sky was more reliable, the earth was more reliable, the wind was more reliable. This is what they taught her. Use your senses to find your way, but that being said, they didn't say compasses were unreliable all the time and this houseboat was pretty amazing, especially for a boat that could move on sand.

Ghetts eyes rose to meet the two Cosmic elves but he said nothing. He was in no mood to deal with the prentension of rulers at the moment. However he did stand to his feet. The tension was palpable and if anything popped off he had tons of frustration to dish out. His gaze would show hints of the fury within him.

Bhanell on the otherhand seemed to be completly relaxed, even the grenade seemed to only get a smirk. "Come now, such attitudes are unbecoming. If i came wanting to cause trouble i wouldve picked up your mess and put it in your lap. But no i am here to trade information, you went into the mountain presumably to investigate the strange energies there. I want to know what it is you found. I assure you the knowledge I give in exchange will be dear to your heart" part of her recognized that face of his, he had slipped through his fingers once before, and again nearly a decade later. After that she found it amusing to greif him any time he came near her nation. A skilled soldier like him was a fun plaything.

But here and now, the game was too easy. Nowhere to hide, back to the wall, not to mention her own support. Granted that stranger with the tattoo's was a wildcard, but she was confident he wouldnt make much difference. "Of course you are welcome to keep your mental guard up, but declining my kindness would be taken as an insult by my kin. I dont think i could guarantee a safe flight home for you should you decline." her own threat was not a light one, it meant that she was broadcasting, half the nation was in her range and were likely watching the situation unfold through her eyes.

Jokan gave a nod and stepped on a peddle near the wheel column, causing the spikes on the underside of the boat to retract freeing the vessel from its anchored position. The sail filled and the craft began to move forward, slowly at first but it quickly picked up speed, amd height as its main hull rose from the sand leaving only a long fin in the sand once it was up to speed. After nearly ten minjtes of silence jokan spoke again. "The sand changes in depth from time to time, it shifts, and dunes will alter your course like waves on the sea. If you arent careful. You'll get turned around crash into shallow sands. One of the many secrets of dunian culture are the routes one can sail the sands. It is why we are the only ones who make sand ships....Tell me of the Orú." the old mans interest was genuine. He had travelled alot in his life. Unfortunately he never managed to get too far north but he would change that soon. Retirement was only three years away, and with it enough gold to travel the world until he perished. Ezekiel landed hard onto the big shield assaulting the kingdom. He wasn’t sure if he caused any damage with his fall but he’s sure he heard a crack. Probably in his armor. Ezekiel slid down the shield, kicking himself off of it when he reached the middle of the shield. He was now in between a hulking army and a kingdom in it’s worst time. As he stood pondering on what to do, he looked towards the castle only to find a good amount of men in armor approaching him. Yes! Finally a real battle can commence! Ezekiel was ecstatic with what could possible now, but he would have to wait as he has yet to even enter the shield. “Hey!” Ezekiel yelled out to the men in armor. “I need all of you to focus all of your strength on this part of the shield! And I mean all of your strength!” Ezekiel could only hope that the men would listen to him, it was likely they could be evil but even then, there’s an even greater threat at hand that should be taken care of.

One kick. Two kicks. Three kicks. Ezekiel spoke his words of ‘Unslaad Kren’, he had to hope that 6 kicks using Unslaad Kren would be able to do enough damage. But he had more than enough confidence in his armor, himself, and the men in armor assisting him. This better be enough cause if it’s not, then we are all truly doomed. One more kick. But if we aren’t... More drinks for me.! And then another kick.

As the army trudged forward Na'homid watched the annoying axe weilding human from before bounce off the shield and fall out of sight behind his hordes. A telltale ripple coursed through the shield on the southern side of it and a smile adorned his face. The prince was here. Atl moment later another ripple went through the frontal portion. "SSentil Vorex." he said aloud to the captains which was Cyribdian for bring me their skin. At once two squads of five split off from the central gathering, wings of black ichor carrying them to the sources of the ripples.

Meanwhile at the southern breache things were getting hectic for the golden prince. His arrow burst through the weakend shield with enough force to blast several of the multiarmed and multiheaded pale soldiers into pieces. Those outside the blast radius began unleashing hell in the form of streams of flame towards the hole in the shield. The flames were not normal fire, but a blood red flame which burned hot and clung to those it hit leaving the prince to have to pass through a literal ring of flames to get in.

The frontal shield finally shattered when the old guard each charged magic into their weapons and struck it in tandem with the drunken heroes kicks. However the moment of victory was short lived, the breach was only about eight feet tall and closing fast leacing them with no option but to push through. Ezekiel would find himself shoved in with the old guard as they surged forward narrowly avoiding the falling blade arm of the first Siege abomination. It hit with enough force to slice clean through the ground and continue its arc unhindered. The vibrations from the blow could be felt through the boots of all the men who entered the breach. Looming shadows of two more blades would be the onky warning they got before the two Adjacent abominations dropped their own cleavers with terrible force aimed at the nine men who pierced the barrier.

She didn't even notice the that the ship landing nearby wasn't their transport until Marius started talking to them. She looked up to see who they were, and was surprised to see... Cosmic Elves, she thought she remembered them being called? Apparently them and Marius weren't very fond of each other, so she kept a grip on her weapon in case something happened. Marius had to mentally bite his tongue due to the fact he knew they were out matched by the parasitic race. Looking into the amber pools that were her eyes, he gave a near imperceptible nod of agreement. "Seeing as we have little choice in the matter, we accept. Also, tell your underling what happens when an arcane grenade goes off point blank. Bhanell pursed her lips as he continued his disrespect but a cruel smile began to replace it as he mentioned how strong the enemy he had faced was. "A stronger telepath maybe, something was blocking my access to the minds of your scientists." her tone seemed to show no irritation though there was plenty of it hiding within. "Ayla would you bubble up those remains for me?" She said calmly. Taking a deep breath she inclined her head and bent her knees slightly as if giving a slight bow. "You have my condolences for your friend...dont give me that look, not all of your allies are as good at emptying their minds. Your pilot and cadet gave me all i needed to know before i ever landed here, i just wanted to see if you would attempt to be diplomatic." she rose back to her full height and levitated back off of the ground slightly. "You shouldn't be happy that there are things worse than me out there Marius, especially not now." she turned away from him but kept him and his crew in her minds eye. "I promised you information dear to your heart, and now i deliver....Your home is under attack, a very large army of invaders from another world, i beleive they are the very same beings as the one you just killed. My spies tell me that things are not going well." she added the last part with a smile as her own, turning slightly to look the Colonel in the eye so he would know she meant what she said. "Fly quickly, my people will not impede you." She said as she slowly flew higher and higher. Aiming her thoughts at Ayla she spoke with a commanding tone. "Do not worry about the corpse, i actually have a better task for you... Tell me dear, Have you ever been to Dunia?" she thought as she left the group on the mountain behind her.

Military Republic of Lunari, Northwestern Coast.

As soon as the rafts had crossed into the Lunari waters it was met with a swiftly scrambled fleet of naval vessels and aircraft. It took them one look to determine the enemy forces as hostile, though the fact that they immediately fired upon them with bloodred flames that would burn even on the water. The response was swift and decisive. Every corpse raft was sunk within a matter or seconds as the navy opened fire with massive magicite guns. With the enemy vessels annihilated the Navy fleet began to return to port in preparation for another attack.

Half an hour later alarms began to go out around the city of Aetheria. Horrors bagan to wade out of the ocean, viciously attacking beachgoers with Their clinging fire and razor sharp organic weapons. At the sounds of the screams the creatures seemed to chortle in ecstasy. However it wasnt until a very large horror climbed onto shore that a feeling of dread began to set in. The creature stood nearly five meters tall with an axe that made giants weapons seem modest. Atop its head was a large bony crest and its facial flesh was pulled back to reveal a skeletal grimace worthy of the toughest mans nightmares. The difference between it and the other creatures was very apparent as the beach security guard who boldly attempted to fire upon him would soon learn.

The beams slammed harmlessly onto the creature seeming to stop a fraction of an inch from its Pale hide, and in response the monster swung its Axe in a downward arc, cleaving the guard in half vertically and detonating the ground beneath his feet with enough force to be felt up to three hundred yards from where he stood. It then roared into the open sky for a moment before trudging along in the direction of the city of Aetheria.

Yusaria
(Crusix Phase: First Quarter)
Yusaria's face fell as the woman informed them that she'd already gotten everything they knew from the Al-mi'raj. The concept of telepathy was still incredibly new to her, so she was still getting used to the idea that someone else could look into her mind without her knowing "Oops..." She said meekly, once the airship was out of earshot "Sorry..."

The Sands of Dunia

"The Orú...in history they were...they are Dire Wolves, a long time ago, humans often do with anything they feel entitled to, decided that we were unsightly and started to slaughter us for merely existing, unlike most wolves Dire Wolves were abnormally intelligent and as you saw, abnormally large, so it was easy enough to mistake them for monsters perhaps they just didn't care. Either way, they learned to use magic in order to evolve, turns out humans don't have the stomach to outright slaughter something that looks like them or at least similar, suddenly our opinions and our lives mattered, however little that might have been, they still treated us like garbage, but we came to an agreement, pretty much, you stay outta my way and I'll stay outta yours. Of course, not everyone took to this, some thought payback was overdue. This caused a separation of packs. The White Claws are relatively peaceful, they aren't passive, but they won't murder you unless you try to kill them first, Red Fangs are...not in the slightest, they will rob and murder you on-sight, but that aside. The Orú are hunters, survivors. To them it is everything, it is an honor and a right, it's a necessity and it proves your worth. It's not as if they're heartless, they are a bit rough around the edges, they won't coddle you if you’re injured, but it's not as if they’d leave you to die if you were ill or too old to hunt anymore.” She said as she looked at the compass “They don't use money at least not amongst themselves, we usually trade things, one useful thing for another, as they say. They don't really see money as useful, their definition of useful is something they can use, like clothes, weapons, food...you get the idea...we usually only stay somewhere a few years at a time, we aren’t very stationary people...unless we have babies or really young pups that are too small to travel then they might stay longer.”

Marius nodded gravely, his features hardening to a mask of one whom seen combat, his mercury gaze promising pain and agony to those that wrongs him and his own. "Your information better hold truth, or i'll be back to repay you for our last encounter elf..." He growled, gesturing to the puckered scar on his face, as the two left. Taking a few breaths, he quickly radioed the pilot. "Hold Position, we're coming to you. And as soon as we arrive, make all haste back to the isles. And open all channels. I want to know what is going on back home." He barked, before releasing the transmit button.
"Understood Colonel. Saber will hold. See you soon sir." The pilot replied. Wasting no time, he began to focus on the Thaumic binds that make up world. The air before the group began to ripple and distort, before finally opening a rift, reavealing the Albatross Transport and the Puma being loaded up.
"Cadet Hotchi. I want a full debrief of your mission here, when we board. I want all details, no mater how minor or insignificant. Am I understood?" Marius said, his tone brokering no argument as he stepped through the rift, as more Cobalt began to run from his nose.

As Rahu entered the breach, his cloak starting to wane in its protection, he had one thought:

“Oh my God this is horrifying!”

Abominations sent liquid flames that he definitely didn’t want to risk touching. Unfortunately this seemed to be as far as Cloudstrider went. Flying would make him an easy target back here and his loyal pet would probably be caught in the crossfire somehow.

Suddenly he saw two of those monstrous titans begin to move, sending their immense weapons down towards... his men.

And Ezekiel.

Shit.

Moving Quickly, Rahu fired two arrows across the battlefield with the property of “force” imbued into them aimed at the beast’s weapons. Those things had to be immeasurably heavy, and despite the creature’s strength if knocked off balance it would be hard to recover quickly, hopefully leaving them open to a counter-attack.

Directly after, Rahu turned towards the immense throne at the centre of the battlefield, where he knew his foe lurked. A plan formed. He would kill his way through, clearing a form of path for the Old Guard and Ezekiel as he went. From there, they would hopefully regroup with him where they could then take the commanders head.

Simple enough, in theory.

Rahu drew his bow.
