Ex's and Oh's

Welcome to the reality TV show where several individuals are unknowingly re-acquainted with their exes and forced to co-exist with them and others in the same house for two months. Jealousy is the main factor here, but surely not the only one.The outcome of this experiment is what these people make it. Flames may be rekindled, bridges may be turned to ashes for good, and new friends may get close while enemies may be kept closer.

During their stay, all necessities (such as basic foods and utilities) will be provided and each house member is accommodated with their own small room, all located on the top floor. The house is equipped with an entertainment room off of the living room and kitchen on the main floor, and an indoor pool and gym located in the basement. Enjoy!

You should post with your character traveling to/arriving at the house [at undisclosed location (if you all need one, let me know and I'll give one)]. As far as they know, the reality show is simply something along the lines of The Real World where they'll just be watched as they navigate relationships with new people. They are still unaware that their exes will be showing up (of course, until they see them).

SAVANNAH

Outfit.

Savannah still had the bustling and ever procedural weight of the airport still all over her. She wasn't jetlagged due to the pure adrenaline and excitement of the forthcoming experience, but inside her was a mild pit of fatigue and wonderment. She couldn't believe for the life of her that she'd been accepted to this show. Even now as she took her phone out and started to make her perspective Instagram and Snapchat stories, there was a feeling of pure nerves riddling within her. Who would her roommates be? Would they become close? Would they be enemies? No matter what happened, Savy already had the locked thought that she was going to what she'd always done, which is be the optimistic and intellectual source of wisdom should any problems arise in the house. Her feet and legs visibly jittered as she remained in the back of the taxi with unbridled nervousness. She points the phone at her face.
'No Makeup today, because I feel pretty darn cute without it... anyways eeek! I'm about to head to the house now guys! I cannot believe I'm doing this let alone got accepted. Will I fall in love!? Will me and my roommates turn into radioactive supermutants!? FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON DRAGON BALL ZZZZZZZ!!!!'

The taxi driver exchanges her a skeptic look with undertones of humor as she chuckled at his own reaction as well as her self-expressed humor. She was clearly in a good mood and she intended on riding those waves for the duration of the stay. The taxi before long pulls up to a grandoise house with that aura of a luxury mansion that belonged to the Wolf of Wall Street or either The Great Gatsby, or just Leonardo DiCaprio. She audibly gasped as the home gleamed through her eyes. Without even saying a farewell to the driver out of awe, she grabs her two large bags and hefts them towards the door, where said driver got out to help her. "Oof, thanks so much!" She stretched her limbs, followed by a few torso twists before picking up her other bag and opening the door inside the elegant and gorgeous interior. The smell of refined pine hits her nostrils as the driver waves adeu to her, driving away and leaving her alone. "Hello!? Ohhhh dude don't tell me I'm the first one here...."

Savannah clears her throat. "Attention!!! There is a person in the home. That person is me. Anyone copy?" Still silence. With a squeal and clap, Sav picks her things up and immediately lifts her things up the marble stairs and into one of the nicest upstairs rooms she could find. She places her things on the bed and collapses into the cloud like sheets, the cold material soothing her into a small purr. She unzips her bags and plans to unpack when she first decided to take a stroll through the house to see it in all its glory. She bunny hopped down the stairs and started her own self tour. She the beautiful kitchen and shook her head in amazement. "Damn, I'm about to lose my whole acting figure..." She then moves into the living room and saw the nice decor, from there an offshoot takes her to an entertainment room. Pool, Pong, and Foosball. That'd be a good way to bond with some upcoming roommates and let off some steam. That was until she of course saw stairs to the basement. She wandered the course and spiraled down the smooth staircase to come to a marvelous sight. A pristine and crystal pool, and right on the other side of the wall, a gym. "OH. MY. FUCKING. DiCAPRIO" She speed walks into the gym, looking at her second home within the house for the stay. She'd be in her getting in touch with her old athlete ways for sure. She headed back upstairs with glee, where she came across a nice secure room with sofas and a camera. A confessional. She enters in and speaks her peace for a moment, before heading back to her room. If her roommate were as festive and down for this as she was, this was about to be an epic ass season.

the moment we become

some would call caimin insane. someone who should stop following the flow of life and make his own choices, yet when he does that; they're wrong, misguided and something he should regret. maybe thats why when he got this offer he happily took it. not because he was pressured into, just because he thought it would be fun. maybe thats why he was so excited to do this, and was even more excited when his university gave him the okay and switch his classes to online. making him grin and act as if he was just a teen again, being able to travel the world.

except he wasnt traveling the world. he wasnt a teen. caimin was a 24 year old male just selected to be in a reality tv show. and for some reason he was more excited than someone his age should be. yet at the same time, he didn't care. he was glad he got to do something new and fresh but at the same time was a bit worried more on his studies and the idea of the other people who might be there. of course thoughts of not getting along with anyone crossed his mind, and he really tried to not let it bother him, but it really never worked. he exhaled briefly, glancing around the terminal, he had went back to California for a bit to visit family again in a short break from school before having to leave for this show. the terminal was pretty busy, but than again it was mid-day and prime time for any business flights to arriving and departing.

even with that prime hour, boarding for his flight was on time and faster than normal for boarding times. which he knew well with traveling between new york to cali to flordia. but he was thankful this was quick and painless. made it more comfortable to get on the plane and off the ground faster and he could arrive sooner.

arrive. he was so excited to arrive. and he couldnt even figure out why he was excited. was it to prove to all those assholes from school that Caimin Lewis Matthews could actually live to be something, to be on tv? that the little pothead nobody amounted to something and got on tv. the one that turns down modeling out of fear of being seeing him somehow had courage to take a tv job and is excited? it was a foreign idea, being happy and excited for something. but it felt normal at the same time.

was he disassociating again? or had he finally lost his goddamn mind?

neither, caimin was honest to god happy for the first time in a long time. hell, he'd hardly paid attention during the flight before quickly arrived at the new airport in the new city in the new state. an adrenaline was already high in his blood as he departed from the plane and stepping into a new terminal. it was fresh air, and sun and totally worth the trip. the ride wasn't long to the house either. which might he add, was a breath taking beautiful place, and he prayed to all the gods he wasnt one to believe in that he's be liked, and that everyone was nice,and that he would be allowed to smoke weed and cigarettes on property. otherwise he might as well just lose his mind.

Lucas Wise

Lucas was tired. It was now he was feeling the effects of poor decision making from the night before, thinking he would be fine without rest the night before a flight like this one. Now he was fatigued and in a bit of a bad mood to say the least. He trudged at a slow pace until he exited the airport, coming to a smooth stop and dropping his bag on the ground. He leaned against the wall and took a sip of water, taking in the change of scenery and different atmosphere he found himself in at the moment. That prompted him to think what had even compelled him to agree to leave home in the first place?

Anyone that knew him knew something like this wasn't his style. Going on tv? Participating in drama? It all was just out of character for him and contrasted how he usually conducted himself in the past. It was hard for him to even gather his thoughts enough for him to understand why he had accepted this offer in the first place. He had realized at a point though that he had come to a place in his life that he felt lacked any real promise. Once he had moved out, he had gotten the plain job of bartending, and while that was fun for a while, he felt himself growing tired of the repetition. He was tired of the same things happening, seeing the same people, never feeling like he was getting anywhere. So when he got this offer, he saw an opportunity to get off of the hamster wheel. But right now he couldn't help but think that maybe this whole experience would drive him crazy.

Maybe his parents were right for being hard on him. Maybe he should have pushed himself more.

"Sir..?" A voice projected itself at Lucas, but he hadn't reacted right away due to being lost in thought. A tap on the shoulder had woken him up, however, and caused him to jerk his head to his left, seeing a man. He was about middle-age, slightly balding, little to no facial hair if any. The man's face was a forgettable one. One you felt like you've seen in passing before, but wouldn't fully recognize. His eyes, however, were a familiar hazel-green, a kind that sent shivers down his spine. To avoid an awkward encounter, Lucas smiled at the man "Uh, yeah..?" The man looked him up and down and about-faced, gesturing for him to follow. "We haven't any time to waste, Mr. Wise. Your ride is this way." Lucas simply nodded, picking up his bag and trailing behind this man.

It wasn't long before he pulled up to the mansion, that did an even better job of impressing than it had online. He stepped out of the car and slung his bag over his shoulder, walking up to the house. He entered, taking in his surroundings which caused him to pause. He hadn't been in a house as luxurious as this one before, which shouldn't have surprised him. He held a hand by his mouth to amplify his voice, "Anyone home?" He ventured up the stairs, wanting to put his things away before he did anything else. He rounded the landing once he got to the top of the staircase, and walked down the hallway, studying the walls of the house. He walked by a room, almost missing that there was someone else in the house. He turned around, placing his bag down and stood in the doorway. "Uh, hey. I was scared I was the first to arrive!"

Why am I doing this again?

Oh, right. To "expand her horizons" or "make new friends". There were countless reasons why people had told Thea this was something she should do, it just depended on who you asked. Her brothers, for instance, claimed that she was sheltered and needed to "get out there" and "see what the world was like". Her friends told her she needed a vacation, one where she could "cut loose" and "just have fun".

Sure, that was alot of quotes. But it was all she'd heard over the last few months after getting the letter that stated she'd been chosen to come on the show. She'd applied as a joke, to appease them; she'd never thought she would actually be chosen. At first, she'd been ready to decline. But after everyone's incessant nagging, she'd accepted the invitation.

Now she stood in the middle of the airport, trying to figure out where baggage claim was. Once she figured that out, she waited patiently-- somewhat anxiously-- for her zebra print bags. She'd borrowed them from her friend Ashlee, so that she wouldn't lose them. Zebra print definitely stood out over regular black suitcases.

Thea grabbed the suitcases and headed outside, the warm air greeting her. There was a man standing by a car with her name on a sign, and she couldn't help the warmth that spread across her cheeks as she offered him a small wave.

"Are you Theabella?" He asked, not smiling.

She nodded. "That's me."

He took her bags and placed them in the trunk, and she slid into the backseat, spending the car ride staring out of the window. She didn't even notice they'd arrived until he cleared his throat and opened his door. Quickly she followed suite.

He helped her get the bags out of the car, but she was on her own getting them to the house. After dragging them up the walk, she burst through the front door, her eyes drinking in everything they could. "Wow." She breathed, walking a few more steps in. She noticed the stairs and, not wanting to just leave her stuff in the walkway, decided to go ahead and lug her stuff up there.

"Oof." She walked backwards up the stairs, not wanting to make more than one trip, even with two rolling suitcases and a duffel bag. At the top, she tripped over the last step and down she went, landing straight on her ass with a squeak.

Kari Johnson
Kari tried her best to resist the urge to look down at her phone and check for the thousandth time that Chris was okay managing her clients for the next few months. She sighed, unsure why she ever signed up for this ‘experience’ and cursing her past self for resolving to be more spontaneous. How was she supposed to know that she’d actually be accepted?
Kari put her phone in her pocket and grabbed her suitcases, making her way to the arrivals lounge. She wasn’t dreading her time here per se, but she wasn’t that fond of the idea of the whole world knowing her personal life, or the prospect of being forced to spend time with people who she may have very little in common with. However, Kari did secretly love the idea of her parent’s reactions to seeing her on the show, and she knew that she needed a break from the routine of her life in New York. Deep in thought, Kari almost didn’t notice the sign with her name on it being held up in front of her.

“Miss Johnson?” He asked. Kari simply nodded, allowing him to help her with her bags as they made their way to the car.

It was a short drive to the house and as Kari looked up at it she couldn’t help but think how similar it looked to the home she grew up in. At least this house would be used for more than politics and stuffy parties. Shaking her head as if to shake away the thoughts of her childhood, Kari climbed out of the car, thanking the driver as he gave her her stuff and made her way in to the building. Kari left her bags in the entryway, knowing she’d sort them out later, and wandered around, wanting to know where everything was asap. She heard a quiet thump and a squeak and made her way back to the stairs, catching sight of a brunette somewhat sprawled on the floor.

“Hey,” she couldn’t help but a smile a little bit at the woman, “You need a hand?”

As she rested on the crisp sheets in her room, Savannah had almost dozed off, waiting on the remaining entourage of her future roommates to arrive. She sighed in pure bliss as her room and its scent reminded her of simpler times. However, she was sure those times didn't include the sound of a deep voice serrating through the house as she heard the call of a strong voice downstairs. She got up to fix her hair and make sure her outfit was presentable, as she heard some steps near her. After a moment she gathers herself yet again and heads out of her room to see a very dashing man place his bags down a the sight of her, her first roommate. If this was any indication of how the rest of the roommates were going to look, she wouldn't mind if the house was filled up with dozens of people. She smiles politely and extends a hand to the tall lad. He was easily over six foot while she only stood at five foot nine. She introduces herself to him. "Hey! Yeah I was too I'd made a whole announcement in the event someone decided to throw punches from being startled haha. I'm Savannah, nice to meet you." It wasn't too long before the door swung open yet again, and the appearance of a female started to enter in with a small arsenal of baggage. She was a pretty number that kind of reminded her of someone she'd knew. Sav could tell the girl was winded, so without an initial introduction, Sav went past her down the stairs exchanging a smile to help her with one of the rolling suitcases and carries it up the stairs. When the girl did get to the top, the sheer clash of luggage came to a head as she tripped over the top stair and plopped on the ground with a mild chirp. Savannah didn't hold back a chuckle, but at the same time overtly expresses concern for the girl as she sets the suitcase aside neatly and looms over her with a hand reached out. "Oh shit! You okay?"

There was yet another voice coming from the doorway, as at first Savannah thought the tumble girl and her could've maybe came together since they were so close to arriving behind each other, but it seemed the girl at the base of the stairs didn't know her either. Which makes her the third roommate. Savannah smiles back down to her, already a mini bonding moment for all of them in the house over one small trip. "Here let's get you up, I'm Savannah by the way." She manages to say while helping the girl up and addressing both her and the chick at the bottom of the steps. "You guys are officially the second and third roommates to arrive, and by horror movie standards we're the ones who make it at least until the final act... my God I have to stop talking about movies. Sorry. I'm so used to work mode it's hard sometimes."

Savannah helps the girls with their things into their rooms, before heading downstairs to the living room in case anymore people decide to show up. She was enamored with meeting new people, from all walks of life, various cultures and diverse backgrounds. It was a big key in acting to often delve into the lives and character of others for empathy, at least in that regard she wouldn't have to stop doing that. Such a practice makes one very understanding of others' lifestyles and upbringing. It also creates a deep nurturing desire to want to empathize and feel for people, so it was no surprise that Savannah was the one kicking things off as far as personal and introspective questions. "So guys! Where yo'all from? What do you do for a living? And are you guys as excited for this as I am!? Also a bit nervous...?"

In these types of shows, Sav knew that nothing was ever really this serene and grace filled for long, but for now she was going to juice every optimistic fiber from the situation that life could give to her. As an actress she knew that a show doesn't get past production unless it has circle of value, a term used to describe not just something that would gather audience attention, but using said attention to boomerang back into the value of production and marketing. In this case... views, ratings, and chaos. Savannah couldn't help but think there was a catch to living in a mansion with everything paid for in free with some very fantastic (so far) individuals. There was something amiss. But for now.... the turn up.

"Also, there's a pool in the basement and a gym. A whole gym. Should we throw a pool party when everyone gets in??"

Lucas Wise

Lucas's eyes followed the young lady as she came out of the room to greet him properly. She was taller than he had expected when he saw her seated, a noticeable pep in her step as she approached him. Her eyes glistened in the light, as did her smile once she came close and began speaking to him. He nodded and returned a smile, taking her hand "It's nice to meet you Savannah. My name's Lucas." Directly following that there seemed to be more people coming into the house, who Savannah ran to go greet immediately. He followed without thinking, leaving his bags behind and going to see who else exactly had come to live here.

Once he had come to the landing at the top of the staircase once again, he saw the woman fall over. The corners of his mouth curled upwards against his will, which he pulled his shirt up quickly to cover. He held back laughter as Savannah hurried to help this girl, who could tell from a glance was shorter than the two of them. He went out of his way to hold out a hand to help her out as well, not wanting to give a bad first impression. His attention was diverted, however, when the door opened once again, and another woman had entered the house. He quirked a brow over at Savannah when she made the comment about this being like a movie. He grinned, "A horror movie buff, huh?"

Once Savannah went ahead to help the girls, he remembered he had left his bag. He went back to it and threw it over his shoulder, heading to the room across from him and throwing his bag on the bed. He yawned, rubbing his eye a bit before turning and returning to the hallway, where he heard voices change the location back to downstairs. He followed the sound and made it to the bottom in time to hear the question thrown out between the group. He smiled "I'm from L.A.," he said, approaching the couches and throwing himself down onto the nearest one. "I bartend nights there, nothin' too crazy but it pays the bills."

He studied the group. Savannah's personality had jumped out in the moments he had spent in her presence. She had the type of aura that made him feel like he had always known her. But then again, he was never the type to feel out of place or uncomfortable in many situations. As for the other two, they seemed nice enough on the outside, but he knew too little about them. He figured with a little getting to know each other, they would be nice enough.

"Oh, I'm Lucas by the way. "

Ex: Andrée Renaud[/div][/div][div class=title]Oliver "Ollie" Marlowe[/div][div class=text]Oliver had never really considered himself to be an unlucky person. Sure, he's had his bad days - but who hasn't? However, from how his morning began he was really beginning to have second thoughts. First of all, had he woken up late and had only been roused because of the furious banging on his door. Half-asleep and dressed only in a pair of joggers, Ollie had opened the door to find his work colleague Nathan standing there waving his - Ollie's - phone in his face.

"Dude, you'd left your phone at mine and it woke me up at fuckin' five o'clock." Nathan had grumbled, handing the device over, and it was at that moment that Oliver well and truly thought he was screwed. Nathan had invited him and some mutual friends over the night before to celebrate his 'rise to fame' (which he'd adamantly objected to) and apparently he ended up being sloshed enough to leave his bloody phone there. Oliver had abandoned his friend in the hallway to get washed and dressed in record-breaking time, and since there wasn't enough time to call a taxi Nathan had offered to drop him off at the airport. Honestly, even though it was Nathan's fault for getting him into this situation in the first place, Ollie knew he could always count on him when it mattered.

In the end, he hadn't even needed to rush because his flight was delayed and Oliver had to wait for another two hours and he had huffed about the inconvenience of it all; had he been back in England he would never have needed to get on an aeroplane to go somewhere in the same country. Another culture shock, he supposed. The journey was boringly uneventful but thankfully he had no trouble picking out his Union Jack patterned suitcase from the baggage carousel and he towed it along as he exited through the arrivals gate. He felt a wave of relief wash over him when he saw a woman standing patiently, a placard with his name on it held between her hands. She greeted him with a friendly smile and an enthusiastic handshake.

"Follow me please, Mr Marlowe."

As she led the way, Oliver took the moment to notice that she was dressed in formal casual clothes and he was beginning to wonder if he was too underdressed for the occasion, and he glanced at himself in the reflective surface of the wall beside him. Dark jeans, white v-neck and a brown leather jacket with his black holdall slung over his shoulder... that was fine, wasn't it? Shrugging off his concern, Ollie did his best to remind himself that he wouldn't put on a show just because he was going to be on TV. He was going to be true to himself and he was going to wear what he felt comfortable in, no matter what anyone else had to say about it. After putting his luggage in the boot of a black car, Oliver was left alone with his thoughts as they began to drive to their destination. He had a few mixed feelings about living in such close quarters with completely random strangers. He had no problem dealing with people since he was confident that his people skills were up to standard, but it was the fact that romance was possibly on the table that sent a knot of butterflies fluttering about in his stomach, and he could only worry about what the producers would dramatise for sensationalism.

Before he knew it, Oliver felt the car pull up and he turned his head to look out the window and instantly it felt like his breath had been taken away. The house (well, it was more of a mansion, to be honest) was dauntingly luxurious and it was crazy to think that he would be calling this place home for the next two months. Sucking in a deep breath and exhaling, Ollie got out of the car and unloaded his stuff before thanking the driver. He watched it leave before slowly turning to face the building in front of him and could only hope that he wasn't so horrifically late that he'd missed out on something crucial. Upon walking into the main entrance - that honestly looked bigger than his entire apartment - he heard a trickle of voices coming from another room and not wanting to stall any longer than he already had, Ollie poked his head through into the living room to see people already comfortably seated.

"Hello there! I hope I haven't missed out on too much." Oliver greeted with a warm smile, his accent prominent enough that it almost felt out of place.

Maybe it was the smell of booze on the breath of the guy who happened to be laying next to her in bed or it was the screeching alarm clock that made her head pound, but something told her today wasn't going to be a bad day. With her weekly hookup next to her, she shook his shoulder before sitting up herself. Mary just got a groan from him so she shook him again. "You've got to go before Noah wakes up, and I have to get him up in the next five minutes so I would recommend you leaving." Mary pressed a button in her alarm clock to stop the blaring as she grabbed her phone. Why did her flight have to be so early that even the local coffee shop wasn't open yet? "You are just a ray of sunshine in the morning." Mark stated before throwing his clothes on. "Yeah well, you don't keep coming back for the conversation." Mary blatantly stated as she placed her phone on the nightstand and rubbed her eyes before getting out of the bed and finding the most comfortable thing she could for a plane ride which ended up being just a pair of leggings along with a sweatshirt that blatantly stated across the front of it, 'UNIVERSITY OF DENVER'. Mary couldn't even remember how she got talked into doing this reality TV show when she much would of preferred sitting on the couch with a bowl of popcorn, making fun of the people with her mom. Though, as anyone could blatantly see, she was roped into it as well.

"Hey sweetheart." Mary said softly as she sat on the side of the bed, lightly brushed the strands of hair that hand fallen into Noah's eyes behind his ear. "I've got to go, but I'll call you every night." Mary promised as he finally opened his tired eyes and sat up wrapping his arms around her neck. "Mommy how long are you going to be gone?" Softly she ran her hands up and down his back. "About two months, but I'll FaceTime Grandma and call her so I can talk to you whenever I can." She knew she was repeating herself but she felt like she needed to. "Grandma will be here any minute now, and you're going to have a great time with her." Mary moved so he was laying back down in his bed. Mary moved the hair away from his forehead and placed a long kiss there. "See you soon."

The flight was just long and grueling, she hated to admit it but there were knots of nervousness in her stomach as she watched outside the window the whole time. Questions kept running through her head, if she was doing this for the right reasons, if she could really handle not seeing her son for two months, it felt wrong. Her mother told her that she spent way too much time at her apartment, she never had any time for herself, maybe she was right.

When Maryana got off the plane, there was someone waiting for her that had for some reason knew exactly who she was. They took her luggage which consisted of one suitcase on the larger side along with a small backpack that held things she needed to have with her, that, she just kept next to her on the rather short ride there. The place itself, god part of her wished that this was just a vacation for herself, not that she minded other people, she just preferred to be in solitude. As she grabbed her suitcase, she started towards the doors of the house and as soon as she stepped in there were a string of voices, she was definitely not the first to arrive

"Um...hello?" Maryana asked somewhat awkwardly due to the whole new situation. Her eyes briefly glance over everyone that she saw. There was one person, she couldn't deny, almost immediately grabbed her attention, he looked way too familiar for her liking. When she could finally picture where she knew him from, she couldn't help but start laughing. "This is a fucking joke right?" She started before looking over everyone else. "Oh, I am so sorry. I am being rude, my name's Mary, but I couldn't help but think, that you look very familiar." The first part of her statement was very genuine but then she turned and pointed slightly to Lucas, thats when her tone almost instantly filled with sarcasm. "Now am I just crazy or does your name happen to be Lucas Wise?"

Thea couldn't help but sit there for a moment, wondering if it was even worth it to try and get her bags up the rest of the way. With a soft groan, she was just about to push herself up when another brunette appeared, a soft smile on her face as she offered Thea a small smile, asking if she needed help. "Honestly, that'd be great. I swear I didn't overpack, or at least, I thought I hadn't. Sheesh."

"Oh shit! You okay?"

Another voice caught Thea off guard, and she glanced up to find another very pretty girl. Savannah, as she introduced herself. Thea gratefully accepted her helping hand and stood, brushing dust off her clothes as she straightened, noticing just how tall Savannah was. "I'm Thea. Or Bella, whichever you wanna call me. I'm not picky." A grin broke out as Savannah started talking about movies. "You mean I'll survive? Hell yes. My brothers would be proud."

She noticed Lucas as he came out from the same direction Savannah had come from to help her as well. "I swear, I'm good guys." She grinned again. "It's nice to meet y'all. Again, call me Thea or Bella, and I work at a daycare. I deal with children at work and home, I swear. I have three brothers." She laughed. "It's a madhouse."

Thea heard another voice and turned, noticing another guy walking in. He seemed nice enough, though all Thea had time to do was wave before a girl appeared. She had a smile on her face til she noticed Lucas, and the smile slipped from her face faster than her brother Luke downed a fistful of french fries. "You know each other?" Thea asked, glancing between the two.

She would have to stifle the idea of the pool party until later it seemed. Everyone was getting acquainted and understandably so. There were going to be her her quasi-family for the next however the hell long of time they'd be here. She didn't even really know for sure. Two months or something like that? She became affiliated with Lucas, he looked like a Lucas. That wasn't a bad thing by any means. He was definitely charming and attractive but that's something Sav wasn't going to tell him out loud. But to be honest... the girls were hot too. Savy wasn't bi or lesbian by any means, but if the girl seen someone as sexy, she wasn't going to hold back any thought in her mind. She appreciated beauty where it resided, both inside and outside of a being. When she'd discovered that Lucas was also from Cali, a part of her soul lit up. She'd have someone that could understand the Cali Code and etiquette without having to explain what it is she's doing. "Oh wow! I'm from Cali too but I'm wayyy up the coast from you. I'm from Palo Alto. I've never had an actual job but if you include college 4 years and then acting to make a living then I have? Haha."

The call of another male voice had caused Savannah to turn her head over her shoulder on the couch she sat, to see another good looking man enter in with a warm aura to him. He spoke out and greeted everyone promptly. His accent was cute, and as an actress Savannah was fascinated with them. She got up from the couch and fixed her dress and met eyes with him, deciding to be her charismatic usual self and meet his accent with her own British accent she'd naturally practiced for years.
"Hi! Other than my friend Bella here landing on her bum climbing the stairs I'd say you're just in time! I'm Savannah!" She shook his hand and introduced himself, before reverting back to her usual serene and smooth American accent. "Okay, on a scale to ten... how good did I do on the accent?? :) " Sav moves back to the couch and takes her place where she formerly sat with the group from before. It wasn't too much longer of moments before the next guest came in, another female that seemed to ease her way inside and call out to the inhabitants of the living room. Savannah with seemingly unlimited energy bounces up yet again and heads over to her. "Hey! I'm Savannah, the resident energizer bunny. How are you? Good trip?" Savannah's brilliant smile and aura seemed to fester into a mellow and changing scope when she saw the look on this girl's face turn sour. She looked in the direction of Lucas and blurted out a rather random and vulgar comment, that made Savannah look as Kari, then Bella, and the Lucas. The girl apologized and introduced herself as Mary, who then turned laser sharp focus to Lucas. Savannah's spidey senses begin to tingle. Sav slid over next to Bella who'd asked them were they acquainted, but Sav had already put it together. She whispered under her breath.

"Uh oh... The Catch."

Sav watched as the tension and eerie energy in the room started to grow like a weed. She had to do something to keep things non-awkward, but what? If this was what she thinks, then there's no way that it won't be. The way Mary's body language is.. how she's reacting to Lucas... they didn't just know each other. They've gotten to 'know' each other inside and out. And Savannah couldn't help but wonder what else was coming.

Or rather who else.

Lucas Wise

A smile came to Lucas's face when Savannah revealed she was also from Cali. He leaned over on the couch, almost laying down at this point "Oh wow, that's sweet." he started, a smile came to his face after the second part of her sentence had registered. "An actress huh? Is that why you're here?" he teased. The group's attention was diverted to an individual that had come through the door. It was a male this time, his accent immediately jumped out at him. He nodded to the man casually, "What's going on? Party's just getting started." Following his words, Savannah showcased her own accent as she introduced herself to the stranger. Lucas began a slow applause, "Impressive."

Following the man that had entered, a woman followed him. She greeted the group, which was to be expected. Savannah introduced herself as normal, but it was the woman's cold stare once she caught sight of Lucas that made him a bit uneasy. As she looked at him, he avoided eye contact at first, wondering why this woman was looking at him with clear agitation. He could feel the vibe in the room change and once the woman, Mary, had admitted she thought he looked familiar, he felt even more uneasy. He sat up slightly, feeling eyes fall onto him around the living room. He shrugged at Thea's question, "I don't think so."

Mary then dropped his name. His heart sank when hearing how she said his name only because it reminded him so much of a certain someone from his past. His ex. He immediately furrowed his brow once he recognized Mary as the Mary he dated in high school. "What are you doing here Mary?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So much happened in the few seconds that she walked into the room, it seemed like a lot exploded in a few seconds due to her. She wasn't surprised, intending to or not, she always did something that was sure to be remembered. One girl came up to her and she kind of just stared through her for a second, then blinking to realize what she just said to her. Anger almost exploded in her as he spoke that he didn't know her, almost being the key word as she saw the recognition come onto him face and he asked her what she was doing here. She wanted to do something, anything but she was frozen. His eyes, god his eyes. Mary forgot exactly what it felt like to look at his eyes. It was high school, seven, almost eight years ago when they last saw each other. Suddenly all anger left her body and her shoulders visibly relaxed. Instead of automatically responding to him, she turned to the girl who came up to her when she first walked in. "Its really nice to meet you Savannah..." Maryana paused for a second before turning to the other girl. "Its been a while but yeah...we know each other." She didn't know how to go from here since it almost seemed like she came in guns blazing.
Mary for a second allowed herself to just look at him, her mouth partly opened. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes and shaking her head ever so slightly. What she wanted to say was very different from what she was going to end up saying. How she wanted to scream at him that she needed him the most when he wouldn't answer her texts or even so much as talk to her much at school. She hated him. How she wanted to leave but, she couldn't. Everything she wanted to say to him before but it was in the past now. How could she hold any of that against him? Instead she scratched her forehead and said, "That's a fantastic question." Thats the second she knew she shouldn't of let her mom talk her into this. It was crap. This couldn't of just been coincidental. No one else seemed to have seen something they knew though. "What are you doing here Lucas?"
It was all she could even think to say. She wanted to start this so differently, introduce herself to everybody, even see if she could connect with anybody on a friendship level but it seemed fate had a different plan. She wanted to move, sit down, talk even, make this whole thing easy but they had too much history for any of this to be easy. If anyone were to ask her, they needed to talk, see if they could just agree with a needed amount of interaction but not go anything beyond that. Yet, something told her that wasn't really an option. That this was going to be a lot harder. It shouldn't be though. Time had passed. Seven years were gone. She wanted to know why it felt like someone was putting pressure on her chest. Or why they would even be brought together in the first place.
Kari Johnson
Kari had barely finished speaking when she heard another voice pipe up and noticed another girl near her. She offered a small smile, unable to get a word in to introduce herself as the girl, who introduced herself as Savannah, excitedly talked to them at a speed which was almost too fast to comprehend. She was like a pure bundle of energy and excitement - something that Kari was often a little short on.
“It’s great to meet you both, I’m Kari, and yeah, this is kind of a weird situation.” Kari said, when Savannah stopped talking to catch her breath.
Kari heard a masculine voice and turned her head to see another person standing there. “You’re from LA?” She asked, a grin on her face, “I’m from New York, I guess that means we should hate each other?”
Kari chuckled a little to herself as the door opened, she greeted the new arrival, barely registering his accent. Kari realised quickly that these people were definitely different from the people she usually met, then again, the people she spent time with were almost exclusively colleagues or clients - her social life had sort of disappeared after her most recent promotion. Nevertheless, these people all seemed friendly and she was sure she would be able to get along with them well enough, although she couldn’t believe that a house of people getting along would make good television.
As soon as the thought entered her head another person entered the house, this time a girl, she offered a smile, which soon turned into a confused face as it appeared that she, Mary, knew Lucas. Kari’s eyes flitted between the two as the tension increased in the room, eventually she couldn’t take it anymore, and in a lame attempt to break it piped up; “So... who’s room is who? Anyone want to help me with my luggage? I would like to be strong and independent and do it myself but I don’t even know what I’ve packed - it weighs a ton.”
Lance Barnes
There are certain times where people go against their instincts to do something stupid instead.
Unbeknownst to Lance, today would be one of those days when he would opt to do the stupid thing. But first, he had to get out of bed, on a plane, and then go on a long car ride.
Waking up wasn’t the hard part, although Lance did his fair share of groaning as he crawled out of bed and opened the window. The sun was already shining brightly, like it had something to prove. He sighed and shuffled to his marble tiled bathroom, snatching his Bluetooth speaker on the way. He blared ‘Glorious’ while he brushed his teeth and combed out his bed-head with his fingers. He got dressed and headed out, bag in tow, with a quick wave to his roommate. He realized he was already running late for his flight, so he was lucky to get a cab driver who had no regard for human life.
What should have been a forty minute drive quickly turned into a twenty minute drive with minimal casualties. After he tipped the driver for his enthusiasm, Lance grabbed his bag and went into the bustling airport. It felt too early to be in such a crowded place, but even with the crowd, he was checked in, through security, and sitting in the uncomfortable chairs to wait for boarding in record time.
The four hour plane flight seemed to go by in no time at all and soon he was stretching out the kinks in his muscles as he walked back out into fresh air. He was enjoying the sunshine so much that he didn’t even notice the girl with his name on a piece of paper until she was standing right in front of him. “Mr. Barnes?” She asked, looking up at him with her head slightly tilted. “Um, yeah.” She reached for his bag with a faint smile and led him over to a black car that was idling by the curb.
The ride was long and boring, but watching the scenery flying by through the window provided some entertainment. Still, he was undeniably relieved when the car pulled to a stop and he could stretch all of his limbs out to their full length. Planes and cars were not made for tall people. He flashed his driver a quick smile when she handed his bag to him, then she was back in the car, driving off and leaving him alone. He turned to face the house, giving it an approving once-over before he started up the walkway. He was about to knock, but he tried the handle just in case and it was unlocked. He was a bit surprised to step inside and see a decent crowd already gathered, but he put on his best socializing face and closed the door behind him.
It was fine, everything was normal as his eyes trailed from face to face. Then suddenly every fiber in his body blared an alarm as he recognized, not just one, but two of his exes. “What the f—“ His voice trailed off when his brain came to its senses and reminded him that he was probably being recorded. He backed towards the door, hoping at least a sneaky retreat could be in order. That thought jumped out the window when he accidentally knocked over an umbrella stand, tripped, and just managed to stay standing by grabbing hold of a set of hooks on the wall.
He sucked in a long breath and looked up slowly. “Hi everybody. Kari. Bella.” He said with a sheepish grin, eyes flashing between Bella and Kari. He was completely and utterly screwed.
ANDRÉE RENAUD
ooc sorry for the delay, y'all!! i've been hella busy, but i can get up to speed in posting. also if this code is wild lmk, bc i'm still not used to this site's coding. [sorry that this is so long, btw. i love writing big things. ;;]
it was extremely unlike him to do anything like this, and he wasn't even sure why he went through with doing this. maybe it was the constant picking from his friend jehan. that frusturated the blond even more. jehan was always the type to pick on him, but to pick on his about something so irritating like reality tv, was too much. andrée had better plans, and bigger things to work on. he remembered the exact situation he was in when he decided to sign up. the night was nearing 12:00AM, he and jehan had had a few drinks and were joking around with each other. he says something about promoting rallies and campaigns with this and was all ears at that point. so, full of snickers and giggles, they signed him up. the rest of that night went on, the two men making cheap, drunken conversion and chuckling at each other's influenced stupidity until they ended up asleep on the living room sofas.
after a few weeks, he then had realized what he had done when he received people contacting him about locations. even that was enough to cause his temper to rise at himself. andrée knew he couldn't be angry forever though, it wouldn't help. plus, it was far too late to change his mind about doing this now. two months spent doing nothing but being apart of what he would call an 'experiment'. this situation just made him feel like a lab rat, and that's all there was to it. of course, he made plans for organization and let his best friend, pierre know about management. he was a busy man, and it bummed him out to know that he wouldn't be able to make it to the campaigns, rallies or meetings but he could promote them. that was what convinced his inebreated self, and what was going to attempt to keep him hanging on.
andrée usually wore the same things: turtle neck sweaters with pants or a slightly oversized shirt tucked into jeans. almost unforgetably, his iconic beat up red converse almost always made an appreance. so that was a majority of what he brought in his bags. along with anything else he thought he needed like his laptop and planners. he would also bring his cellphone, a pack of multi colored pens, and other office supplies for more communication and planning. you could call him a work a holic, but he'd deny any claims of it. he just loved planning out these events to help people, communities and environments. other obvious things like toiletries came along with him too, as well as some "see you soon" coffee beans from his friends. he waited at any momemt for an escort to arrive and when it did he grabbed his bags and said his goodbyes to his apartment. he knew that pierre would keep it safe while he was away.
the car ride wasn't too bad. andrée usually hated when someone else drove for himbut he didn't know of the place and this wasn't his car. he knew he had to ease up just a bit, in order to survive so he reminded himself to scrape away at that outer layer whenever he could. being in the passenger seat of a silent car ride, was something that he enjoyed thoroughly. he didn't know if it was the passing of sights, the sounds of the wheels rolling against pavement and gravel or the feeling of the seat underneath him. but he loved it nonetheless. the blond usually loved it so much so that he could take a well deserved nap. napping was always crucial to long car rides, and if you were someone like 'drée you could nap almost anywhere. even in a car with a complete stranger. so he evantually shut his eyes and drifted into a slumber.
he was awake a few minutes before they arrived, and he was grateful for that. he always needed a minute or two to compose himself after a long nap like that. eyeing the driver for a few seconds, he pulled down the passenger side mirror so he could get a glimpse of his hair and if his eyes were puffy. andrée didn't usually bother with things like this but he wanted to attempt to make a good first impression. you couldn't do that quite as well with slightly puffy eyes and sleep marks riddled along his neck and cheek. there was nothing much to be done about that in the car with 3 minutes to spare, so he just ignored it. he would have time to make a better appearance later.
when he arrived on the scene of where he would be staying, andrée did a double take. this was huge! he was only really used to small houses and apartments. he had never seen a mansion in real life before. thinking like this made him feel just a tad childish but it was okay, because it was all to himself. he stepped out of the car and stared at the structure for a moment more, before grabbing his belongings and heading inside. when he did that he was greeted by the sounds of chitter chatter and a spark of voices. he didn't know if he would go and check it out personally, but as someone who signed up for this he knew he had to pop his head in.
he carried himself over to the room full of all sorts of different people, and stood in the doorway for a bit, before realizing the one familiar figure in the room. oliver marlowe. god, that boy could make his heart throb, together or apart, on friendly terms or not. andrée would almost always admit how much of a catch that boy was. light freckles cascading along the bridge of his nose, the swoop in his jawline, and his pink lips. most of all, those eyes that were deep restless pools of blue sitting underneath a strong brow. the fact that ollie could still make him swoon even after their breakup made him frusturated. more importantly, it made him red and embarrassed.
andrée lets out a soft "hello everybody," before proceeding further into the large room. hopefully, he didn't make a fool of himself.
"Uh oh... The Catch."
Thea's lips parted as understanding dawned on her. At first, Lucas didn't claim to recognize her, but Thea could tell the moment that it clicked in his head. The catch, the catch, the catch... the phrase kept repeating itself in her mind, and a part of her was terrified to see who would come in the door next.
At first, Thea was afraid that Mary would blow a gasket. But then, the grimace and glare faded and she seemed to visibly relax, which caused a wave of relief to wash over Thea. Kari piped up with an attempt to break the remaining tension, and Thea was quick to take her up on it. "I think we get to pick?" She offered the girl a smile.
But before she could even make a move towards her own luggage, a crash from the doorway snapped her head in that direction. She recognized him immediately, of course, how could she not? That face she'd once loved, the chiseled jawline and understanding eyes. The arms that had once held her tight at night, keeping her safe.
Crap.
She squeezed her eyes shut when he said her name, though it took a few seconds to realize that he'd said someone elses name, too. So... he knew... Her eyes shooting open again, Thea looked at the girl she'd just smiled at. "You know him, too?" There was no ill will in her voice, just a note of surprise.
