A majority of humans once believed that they were the only intelligent life forms in the universe. However, there was a handful that knew, in the vast expanse of space, that there was life elsewhere. Those who fell under the category of believers were proven to be correct in the year 2510. Otherworldly beings were captured by a couple in a small town in Brazil. These foreign life forms were later handed over to the government for questioning.
Long hours of interrogating later, the captives thoroughly explained their reason for residing on the fragile planet known as Earth. They were refugees, from war, an ongoing war to be precise. The unearthly beings informed the humans that they were not the only extraterrestrials living on earth, there were others, who disguised themselves so that they could blend in with earthlings. The people of Earth didn’t want to house asylum seekers, knowing that allowing them to stay would only complicate matters.
The extraterrestrials offered the humans their intellect in return for a temporary, and if necessary permanent home. Knowledge is powerful. The bargain was accepted. Within as little as a decade, advances in biotics and robotics transpired, the results were beyond expectations. The golden age of technological advancement was welcomed with open arms. Unbeknownst to the people of Earth, they would need this new technology more than ever, the war was creeping right around the corner, patiently waiting to pounce.
The year was 2600, a beam of light pierced the earth, killing thousands instantly. Those at war with the aliens who now lived on earth had come to take over the planet, nonetheless, the inhabitants of the earth weren’t going to simply surrender, and so began what is now known as The Nova War. Blood was shed, and the battle lasted well over half a century. With other extraterrestrial militias on their side, Earth had won the war, however in the end neither party had truly won; war had taken its toll on the beautiful blue and green planet. Earth wasn't completely destroyed, however in order to mend what had been broken, humans and aliens would have to work as one.
Rebuilding cities wouldn't be an easy task, so a group of roboticists created androids to accommodate in construction. The robots were very efficient, and with their assistance by the year 2775, Miraino City and many other similar cities were established. Androids, later on, became available to the public, a vast majority of the robotic beings were capable of emulating thoughts and emotions. Making them similar to a human in nearly every respect.
Miraino City, which is often referred to as a melting pot, is a place where, robots, humans, and aliens all live together. The city was intended to be a place of peace, a safe haven for all, a utopia, but that isn't the case, crimes still occur, and are handled by various law enforcers. Those who are members of Rotek form one of the many task forces that protect the city. Rotek was founded in 2883 and is funded by the government; its primary purpose was to create task forces composed of unique individuals to handle the city’s needs.
The year is now 3031, a new group of individuals has been selected for the program. Can they handle having the weight of the city on their shoulders? Will they be able to fulfill their duties? Only time will tell if they possess the potential to evolve into something great.

There are three squads a member of Rotek can be placed in. Each squad has its own specialty. Squads consist of +4 members, including the squad leader, who is typically hand-selected by the facility’s board members.
ONYX ◑
This squad's brute strength and sense of athleticism is like no other, members dominate in battle and are highly skilled in fighting. Their physical attributes are not their only specialty. This group of students is also particularly exceptional with weapons, specifically firearms. They are a force to be reckoned with, wielding both hand-to-hand and skills.
PLATINUM ◑
The minds of this team could single-handedly create a grid for the entire city and the cities over. Their superior intellect enables them to see the world from a new perspective that can seem a bit off putting at times. Seeing how they are excellent with research and collection of data they are widely known for their tech-savviness.
GOLD ◑
This division excels in operating silently and in secrecy with the utmost efficiency. They are more covert than the rest which allows them to execute stealth missions. Members of this squad have repeatedly proven to be insightful and resourceful, with many being capable of quickly understanding any situation put in front of them and effectively adjusting.

ACTIVITY ◑
In terms of the in-character post, please try to interact with everyone, don’t continuously interact with the same individuals. I’m not asking you to post four times a week, I’m just asking for consistency. You’ll come to find out I’m pretty laid back when it comes to posting, but I’m not going to tolerate repeated cases of inactivity. If you go awol this will lead to the death or disappearance of your character(s). If you know you will not be able to post regularly please tell me in advance, we can arrange something.
CHARACTERS ◑
This isn’t first-come, first-serve, you’ll submit your character(s) to me and the co-gm (Uniko), once we approve you can post the character in the appropriate thread. Please be aware I have the right to reject any character that I believe won’t be a good fit, the odds of this happening are low, but it needs to be known. Characters will probably get hurt in this role-play, so if you're one of those people who have an issue with that, I advise you not to join. In this role-play, your character can be a human, an android, or an alien (for a select few I’ll allow hybrids, but run it by me please).
LITERACY ◑
As far as literacy goes, I’m less concerned about how much you can write, and more worried about the structure of your writing. I’m looking for quality writing, quantity doesn’t matter. Basically, I want proper spelling, correct use of grammar, and tasteful writing.
CREATIVITY ◑
I want some diversity in this role-play, please make it happen. Drama in the IC is highly encouraged. Wreak havoc, make a building explode, whatever you can think of. If you have an insanely awesome plot twist don’t hesitate to run it by me, let that creative mind run free. I would love to hear about any mission idea you have, no idea is a bad idea.
MISC. ◑
For this role-play, I will be creating a discord. I would love it if whoever joins is active in both the discord server and ic. I will be playing games, asking questions, and stirring up scenarios; so your involvement would be greatly appreciated. Minor god-modding will occur for plot purposes, but don’t worry I won’t do anything drastic without your permission I promise. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask!
