Vihn stayed seated at the Castan Conquer booth, a little annoyed at all of the loud people. Sure, the festival was definitely in pull swing by now, but they closed down the gym for this. How many people were looking forward to going to the gym? All of the classes he had. He sighed annoyed, causing Lucca to roll his eyes, "Every year, we take off for the festival. Every year, you pout about it. And every year, we get a lot more business for a month or two."
"I do not pout," he retorted, "I just think you could be here, and I could be there."
Of course, this was a constant 'argument' around this time. Lucca could stay here, but then who would efficently talk about the machines, the classes, the routines. Not Lucca. He only helps on super busy days, otherwise he's behind the desk.
"Well I'm going to enjoy some festival food at least," Vihn stood up and took some money from his wallet, "Want anything?"
"Definitely a corn dog or two, and lemonade, and even those deep fried oreos if you're willing," Lucca's favorite thing about the festival was the oreos, of course Vihn would get his brother some. Typically, you'd think a gym owner would be totally against all the festival food, but it's not like he's not going to go work it off later. Plus you should still enjoy your food. How would the Castan brothers live with their moms cooking if they ate incredibly healthy?! They wouldn't, simple as that.
Vihn stoic face and muscular build made it easy for people to part ways for him to make it to the different food trucks. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't at least a little excited for the fair. He did love beating his brother at the games.

Lucca continued to introduce people as they came up and wondered about the gym. He'd hand them flyers, stating that if someone had any quesitons about anything, that Vihn would be able to help them better. After a few minutes, the bobble of pink hair caught Lucca's eye, which was soon met with the excited voice yelling, "Lucca!!"
Another day another...couple cases closed. It had actually been quite a busy day at the office. Lots of running around, but that didn't bother Luci much. He had planned on staying late, wanting to work ahead a bit and get a start on his weekend, but his boss is already glaring him down from his office, forcing him to go home. Not even half way through his work days and he's already at overtime...maybe he should get a hobby. He laughed softly to himself, time for a hobby? That's solving some extra cases.
He looked up once a knock rang on his office door, "You're supposed to be going to that festival, I can't have one of my best detectives burning out by the time they're 25," his boss joked. "Sir, I am 25?" he reminded, with a small smirk playing on his lips. His boss laughed and nodded, "That's exactly the point Mogenstern, go get some coffee or something. Go to the festival, get something from there, but for the love of everything out there, don't work the rest of the night," he practically ordered. Lucifer nodded and finished up his things before clocking out and making his way towards the bakery.
"Darling, if you want him to say yes to your proposal you need to go with 108 flowers. Roses specifically, unless he thinks they're cliche, then a red flower. Or even red and white, but mixed with ivy," he explained and as the man infront of him was about to ask he interrupted and said, "That means 'We'll be together forever'. That's so sweet isn't it?" He still seemed unsure so Asim continued, "Look, 108 is a lot, yes, but with our bundle deals it's a lot cheaper than if you were to just get 108 flowers somewhere else. You could even throw in a fake flower for that 'I'll love you until the last flower dies' thing that some people do." He seemed to be slowly convinced, so Asim talked with him more as customers came to and from the small booth, buying all sorts of different flowers or fruits/veggies. Finally, he convinced him with the 108, what a score! As much as Asim thought something like that was cliche, he knew a lot of people liked the different things.
"You're welcomed to go enjoy a few games or search around other booths," his eldest sister said, causing a smile to appear on Asim's face.
"Oh you'll know I'll take you up on that offer," he says and turns towards the youngest two of the family, "How about both of you come with me to a couple games? Hit the craft show?" His sister nodded eagerly, always a big fan of the craft fair. He smiled and took the two to the different games, writing a quick "buy ride tickets for tomorrow" on his inner wrist so he wouldn't forget. He wanted to surprise the 3 youngest with taking them on the rides.
Adaline had been given the amazing opportunity to interview people at the festival. While it seems like such a simple task, the festival is something hundreds upon hundreds of people look forward to and also read about. Not only will she get her name out there more, but so many people are going to read her work! While that makes her a bit anxious, she was too excited to care. She had a few people she needed to interview still, but she had all festival to do it. For now she was going to walk around and write notes about the games and the rides and-oh! She needed to write about the different crafts too! She wrote on her hand "Interview Mèng shí before close" just to have a reminder, as she'd probably get caught up in her writing, before making her way to the craft tent. She should also get a corndog...those were so good here.
Ana quickly left the school building and made her way to her car. She had reminded herself to visit the Castan brothers, she just had to say hi to them! She was positive Vihn was being a grump about having to go and not being at the gym, so she decided to bring some of the famous lemonade to them too. Class had run a bit later than she had intended, and she really didn't want to attempt driving close to the entrance. So, she opted for the first parking spot she could find. Sure, it seemed far away, but it's better that than trying to leave when everyone else is too.
She made a beeline to the lemonade stand, just in time before everyone else would be there too. She ordered three, one for herself obviously, before making her way to their booth. It definitely took her a bit, but she soon spotted just Lucca sitting at the tent, "Lucca!!" she said excitedly and handed him a lemonade, "I'm assuming Vihn went to grab food, if only my class hadn't run late I'd have told him not to get lemonade," she sighed with an eyeroll.
Lucca laughed lightly, "He should be back soon, he's getting food. He's in a mood," he joked, causing Ana to laugh also.
"Yea, I'm sure he is," she joked back and started to rub off the ink on her hand. With the inquisitive look Lucca was giving, she decided to speak up, "We were actually learning today in history, so I knew I'd forget to come visit you guys before you were to busy." With a nod, they both sat and chatted while waiting for Vihn to show up with food.
Natasha laughed with a few of her friends as they all played one of the water gun games. With a cheer, she jumped up in excitement. Not only had she finally won a game, but she was able to get a plushie she instantly fell inlove with!! While the little llama plushie was small, she definitely had other chances to win some big ones too. Tonight, she was just going to enjoy the festvial, as her office was closed for the weekend.
"Does anybody want to make our way to the food? I could really go for a funnel cake," one of the girls asked the group. There were chimes of agreement or saying they wanted different food, so they all went to enjoy their different food. While Nat wanted some lemonade to bring home to her uncle, the line was ridiculously long right now. So she'd just have to do that later. For now, she'd wait behind an incredibly intimidating and tall man for the corndogs, and fries too.
With a sigh, Raven waiting for his mom and brother to return. They had been sent to get some food, but that meant Raven couldn't go walk around the festival. She loved going to different booths and games, but she couldn't leave her dad alone running the Staten Witchcraft booth. "I'm sure they'll be back soon," her father smiled and kissed her head.
"I know, but it's been soooo long!" she jokingly whined
"Raven, it's been 10 minutes, and the food trucks are probably at peak busy right now."
Raven jokingly groaned and nodded before turning to one of the listening customers, "He just doesn't understand impatience," she joked, causing them to laugh. Raven smiled and helped them pick out a crystal for their little sister. One of her favorite things to do was tell people about crystals, so she was definitely in her element right now, and it was a great distraction for her excellent patience.
Alane was sitting on her chair; stacks of ungraded papers lay before her on the wooden desk she sat at. She wore a bright green dress that flowed down to the floor and around her bare ankles. Her light silver crown placed on her lap; her delicate lace covered fingers curled around the sides. Her knuckles whitening as her grip tightens. Her hair is swept to the side and lays perfectly on her shoulder. Alane looked almost as if she could be posing for a magazine. Everything about her in that moment was perfect and pristine. Except for one thing; her eyes. Her eyes were glazed over as she stared out into the window. Hot drops of liquid trickled over her cheeks.
The classroom door squeaked loudly as it was pushed open. Alane jumped and hurriedly put her crown back on her head, taking her lace gloves and wiping at her eyes. She stood up and walked over to the door to greet the person. Her eyes looked over at them and she gave a soft smile. It was the principal and his assistant. They had a cart of baked goods, most likely store bought. The three exchanged meaningless conversations for a little while. Alane grabbed a muffin off of the cart and gave a small bow. The two in response returning it awkwardly. They turned and left down the hall to the next class. Alane closed the door and looked around her classroom. It was quite depressing without the chatter of small children. A deepened sigh escaped her delicate lips. She set the muffin down inside of the small refrigerator she used to keep “science experiments” in, and walked to the creative corner. Her hands flowed over the markers. She picked out a few different colours and sat down on the dark blue carpet below her. She pulled up the skirt of her dress and got to work. After a few minutes of work she already had a beautifully drawn henna on her green skin; the gold markings on her making it even more beautiful. But of course the person she was bonded to wouldn’t see that; they’d just see her masterful art on their left thigh.
After hours of grading papers and cleaning up and prepping, she was finally done. There was a festival going on. Maybe she had some time to go visit it. Alane swept up the classroom once and grabbed her muffin. She turned off the light in the room and glided down the hall.
Alane made it there an hour or so late. Her deep brown eyes surveying the surrounding area. The small square bustled with people going this way and that. Looking at booths and playing games of all sorts. The crowd was a mixture of peoples from all over and of all species. It made Alane glow that these people no matter how different could all enjoy the same simple games. A bright smile appeared across her features. She kept on walking straight; her hands held behind her as she glided along. Her eyes darted this way and that at the game booths on either side of her.
