  • Vihn
    Castan
Vihn stayed seated at the Castan Conquer booth, a little annoyed at all of the loud people. Sure, the festival was definitely in pull swing by now, but they closed down the gym for this. How many people were looking forward to going to the gym? All of the classes he had. He sighed annoyed, causing Lucca to roll his eyes, "Every year, we take off for the festival. Every year, you pout about it. And every year, we get a lot more business for a month or two."

"I do not pout," he retorted, "I just think you could be here, and I could be there."

Of course, this was a constant 'argument' around this time. Lucca could stay here, but then who would efficently talk about the machines, the classes, the routines. Not Lucca. He only helps on super busy days, otherwise he's behind the desk.

"Well I'm going to enjoy some festival food at least," Vihn stood up and took some money from his wallet, "Want anything?"

"Definitely a corn dog or two, and lemonade, and even those deep fried oreos if you're willing," Lucca's favorite thing about the festival was the oreos, of course Vihn would get his brother some. Typically, you'd think a gym owner would be totally against all the festival food, but it's not like he's not going to go work it off later. Plus you should still enjoy your food. How would the Castan brothers live with their moms cooking if they ate incredibly healthy?! They wouldn't, simple as that.

Vihn stoic face and muscular build made it easy for people to part ways for him to make it to the different food trucks. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't at least a little excited for the fair. He did love beating his brother at the games.

Alane was sitting on her chair; stacks of ungraded papers lay before her on the wooden desk she sat at. She wore a bright green dress that flowed down to the floor and around her bare ankles. Her light silver crown placed on her lap; her delicate lace covered fingers curled around the sides. Her knuckles whitening as her grip tightens. Her hair is swept to the side and lays perfectly on her shoulder. Alane looked almost as if she could be posing for a magazine. Everything about her in that moment was perfect and pristine. Except for one thing; her eyes. Her eyes were glazed over as she stared out into the window. Hot drops of liquid trickled over her cheeks.

The classroom door squeaked loudly as it was pushed open. Alane jumped and hurriedly put her crown back on her head, taking her lace gloves and wiping at her eyes. She stood up and walked over to the door to greet the person. Her eyes looked over at them and she gave a soft smile. It was the principal and his assistant. They had a cart of baked goods, most likely store bought. The three exchanged meaningless conversations for a little while. Alane grabbed a muffin off of the cart and gave a small bow. The two in response returning it awkwardly. They turned and left down the hall to the next class. Alane closed the door and looked around her classroom. It was quite depressing without the chatter of small children. A deepened sigh escaped her delicate lips. She set the muffin down inside of the small refrigerator she used to keep “science experiments” in, and walked to the creative corner. Her hands flowed over the markers. She picked out a few different colours and sat down on the dark blue carpet below her. She pulled up the skirt of her dress and got to work. After a few minutes of work she already had a beautifully drawn henna on her green skin; the gold markings on her making it even more beautiful. But of course the person she was bonded to wouldn’t see that; they’d just see her masterful art on their left thigh.

After hours of grading papers and cleaning up and prepping, she was finally done. There was a festival going on. Maybe she had some time to go visit it. Alane swept up the classroom once and grabbed her muffin. She turned off the light in the room and glided down the hall.

Alane made it there an hour or so late. Her deep brown eyes surveying the surrounding area. The small square bustled with people going this way and that. Looking at booths and playing games of all sorts. The crowd was a mixture of peoples from all over and of all species. It made Alane glow that these people no matter how different could all enjoy the same simple games. A bright smile appeared across her features. She kept on walking straight; her hands held behind her as she glided along. Her eyes darted this way and that at the game booths on either side of her.
