Weapon: A huge warhammer, unable to be wielded by many others. Generally, huge weapons that are sized for him. Which means that they're pretty fucking big.


Armour: Thick metal plate armour covers most of his body, except for the head. However, this is covered by vitaar, which does a similar job.


Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual, boringly enough. The Qun disagrees with this, but Vidar doesn't give a crap about the Qun anymore.


Current Occupation: Escaped slave trying to be a mercenary of some kind.


Current Goals: Murder slavers.


Personality: Vidar is very used to people wanting to stay away from him, and he doesn't blame them. In fact, he encourages this, by being generally belligerent and aggressive to strangers. However, he is easily flustered by people saying the unexpected. To his friends, though he has none of yet, he is unfailingly loyal. If slaves or slavers are involved, the results are predictable. This will evolve as things play out, and it's more layered than presented here. Don't worry, I have a very clear picture of Vidar's personality.


Relationships/Family: No. None at all.


History: Something to do with disliking the Qun, running, and getting captured into slavery. Then escaping by butchering his captors and generally wanting to fuck up slavers. All of them. I know this can get more detailed, and it probably will. But this is a general outline.


Other: Vidar has a strange liking for soups of almost any kind. Any attempt to part him from his hammer is almost certain to end badly. Makes infrequent attempts to be humorous, but generally fails miserably. He tries, though.

Name's Vidar, and probably through joints, weak points, and various other methods. For all intents and purposes, Vidar Akaas is his name. Antaam is a role in Qunari society, of the warrior, and it's a connection to stuff he'd rather not be connected to anymore. Dragon Age wiki is a valuable assistance, although I'm still not 100% sure on naming. Tal-Vashoth usually take new names to create more of a personal identity. Vidar Akaas is the one Antaam chose. Trivia: Vidar is the Norse God of Vengeance, Odin's son, and foretold to survive Ragnarok. Vengeance is the important part there. IC, it's a coincidence. OOC, that's why I chose the name Vidar. Further adding to the amusement, Vidar is the one who kills Fenrir, which is the non-anglicanised name for Fenris. So, the Fenris-replacement accidentally named himself after the Norse God who kills Fenris. I just find that amusing. Combined with the vengeance thing, I couldn't pass it up.

That's actually fairly impressive credentials you have there. I'm mostly aware of Sten, but I kind of forgot that Sten was a role in the military. Might go and change Vidar's original name to something Qunari-sounding, as a role in the military.


And yes, I did like that whole name synergy thing. It started with the vengeance thing, and then the whole Fenrir/Fenris/Vidar thing just clicked. I think the universe itself aligned to allow that coincidence. Or something along those lines.

Hey peaceswore, I don't want to over step my boundaries but I don't think Insanity demons exist, maybe Terror or despair. But from what I understand about your character he seems like he would attract a compassion spirit instead of terror or despair or most demons honestly and due to his personality he could change the spirit of compassion into a demon of despair like what anders did to Justice . But that's only my two cents as it's all up to you, as the fade is such a huge thing that it's hard to know everything about it and it's inhabitants~
