Kain could see that she was tired and smirked. He could feel the excitement from her wolf and reached a hand out, grasping her arm and pulled her back onto the bed. He let out a new rumble, this one was designed to subdue the wolf for a little, and wrapped his arms around, laying them on their sides. "Forgive my use of words. Sleep love, we can run after dinner" He said, placing a kiss on her forehead.

She startled slightly falling back into the bed but purred when he wrapped her into his chest. Her wolf however responded with a low growl of her own before settling finally, not thrilled he’d used his position of power to settle her. But seemed content with his snuggling as she just closed her eyes soon drifting off

He heard the growl from the wolf and let out a small apology rumble. He cared for both the wolf and her human. He pulled her closer into his chest, moving the arm underneath her to under the pillow. He rested his head on top of hers and felt himself falling asleep.

She slowly drifted into a deep sleep as her wolf settled down and she snuggled into his chest. Enveloped in their scent just completely relaxed. She finally began to stir slightly a few hours later though when her stomach started growling

Kain's eyes slowly opened as he felt Astrid stir in his arms. He looked down at his mate, currently still snuggled in his chest and placed a kiss on top of her head. "Afternoon love" He spoke, feeling his stomach grumbling. He couldn't help the yawn that escaped his mouth though he felt much more relaxed and rested than earlier.

She smiled finally uncurling herself from his chest “good afternoon.” She purred but pulled herself away to stand. She stretched with a little groan and took his hand heading to the dinning hall

He smiled at her as he too moved from the bed. Standing up, he stretched out his back before taking her hand. He followed her down towards the dining hall. Inside, instead of sitting at his seat, Eric and Julianne both stood near the table with their fists over their hearts and head bowed. "My king and queen" They stated, recognizing the completed bond and official title. On the table sat a beautifully smoked ham with a chopped salad and mashed potatoes with a stein of blood at the vampires seats and an empty stein with pitchers of milk, water and lemonade for drink choices.

Astrid just looked at them when they both bowed their heads, her wolf beaming in pride. She immediately perked up seeing the spread in front of them “Julianne you are the best.” She sat down and started making herself a plate

Kain smiled at the two, nodding his head at them in response. “Thank you my queen. Do you have any requests for breakfast?” She asked as Kain sat down. He filled his plate with the food, ham and potatoes were his favorite. He took a sip from his stein, enjoying the nutrition from the drink before cutting into the ham and sampling the flavors. “Excellent job Julianne” He said, smiling at the cook.

Astrid hummed thinking “um could we have tacos tomorrow? This is delicious.” She smiled softly she made herself a plate and poured a glass of lemonade. She ate finishing and looked up at Kain “how about that run? Before she has a meltdown.” She referenced her wolf.

Julianne smiled at Kain and Astrid. “As you wish my queen” she bowed before heading into the kitchen. Kain finished his food on the plate and had drained the stein quicker than he cared to admit. He had been starving. Nodding, he stood from the table and held out a hand. Eric dismissed himself and Lily had eaten earlier in the day so she hadn’t shown. “Sounds good to me” He said.

Astrid smiled and walked outside with him and hummed “where is this trail of yours?” She questioned but she could feel her wolf about ready to just burst through

Kain walked along the river before coming to a small bridge that crossed the river "This way" He said, pointing to a small stump with a black K painted on it on the other side. The trail weaved through the trails, coming alongside the river for a while before crossing it back and looping over before ending near the farm's fields.

Astrid looked around “it’s beautiful!” Her wolf was literally screaming in her head at this point causing her to rub her temples. She muttered an annoyed fine before shifting as her wolf nearly jumped on Kain

Kain smiled over at her before watching her shift into her wolf. He dodged the wolf as she very nearly jumped on him. "Okay, Okay. Let's run" He said, turning to the entrance and beginning a very steady pace, he wasn't using his increased speed just enjoying the evening with his mate.

Astrid chased after him, her wolf very clearly attempting to treat him more like a pack member than a Vampire which didn't to well. While Astrid had grasped the difference between their species with the bonding her wolf hadn't had the same time with him to fully process it. She playfully bolted after him before taking off ahead of him and bounding back.

Kain looked back at Astrid's wolf before she went ahead and then bounded back. He could get the feeling that she was playing with him and so he raced faster, before dropping back and then leapt up and grabbed a tree branch swinging on it like a monkey before jumping off and grabbing the next one before dropping down onto all fours on the trail.

Astrid chased after him bounding on the ground below him as he swung through the branches waiting until he landed to make her move. She lunged playfully tackling him, sending him both rolling before scrambling up and bounding down the trail. The wolf was clearly playing with him and having the time of her life as she waited for him to catch up.

Kain felt solid ground beneath his hands and feet for about a moment before he got tackled. He rolled through the dirt before landing on his stomach, looking up to see her wolf bounding down the trail. His eyes narrowed mischievously as he silently got up to his feet and slid into the dense forest this part of the trail went through. He kept himself downwind, hoping that his plan would work. He crouched low, sneaking through the bushes and popped his head up once to see if he'd caught up yet. He caught the scent of berries and chocolate and grinned, looking through the branches of a bush, seeing the wolf waiting for him to catch up along the trail. He leapt out of the bushes with a playful rumble (hoping that using the rumble will keep the wolf in playful not attack mode) and aimed to tackle her to the ground.

Astrid turned but perked her ears when he was no longer on the trail and crouched down trying to track his scent but being upwind she was struggling. Her wolf was clearly on the hunt in the attempt to find him first but his scent surrounding her made it significantly harder. Her head snapped in his direction though when he leapt from the bushes having just enough time to shift her weight but they both went rolling anyway.

Kain rolled for a few moments with Astrid before coming to a stop a few feet away. He was laying kind of on his side like a wolf would, one arm propped his upper body up and his legs splayed behind him. He let out a huffed laugh, a smile on his face as he looked over at Astrid. He hadn't had this much fun in ages, and doing this with his mate was exhilarating. He needed a moment to collect himself so he dropped his arm and laid belly flat on the ground, arms crossed in front of him and chin rested on his arms just looking at Astrid with what looked like, he was sure, a love struck puppy type smile.

Astrid had already hoped back up ready for the next round clearly full of even more energy in this form but tilted her head when he was just lying on his belly staring at her. She lay down in front of him mimicking the best she could in wolf form with perked ears just waiting. Her tail was wagging on the ground just making a little indent in the dirt

Kain watched as Astrid copied him and he laughed again. "Alright" He said, though he took a mental picture of what was in front of him. It was very cute in his opinion. "Y'know, I heard wolves were mean, but you look like a big ol' puppy to me" He commented teasingly, before shooting to his feet with inhuman speed and taking off down the trail, looking over his shoulder and not on the trail which proved to be a downfall. Okay, vampires are supposed to be graceful and fast, but love struck Kain didn't see the tree branch that had fallen down from the last time he ran down the trail and proceeded to trip, struggling and failing to avoid landing in the dirt, again. He hit the trail stomach first and huffed, rolling onto his back and sitting up. "I think I'm the least graceful vampire ever" He sighed.

Astrid playfully curled her lips back showing off her k9s as a playful growl rumbled in her chest. She scrambled up bolting after him though they had a clear speed difference until he ate it in the dirt again. She came trotting up to him nosing his chest before playfully sitting back and pouncing on him which forced him to fall back into the dirt again with her paws on his chest.

Kain watched as she came trotting up to him. He was going to run his hands through her fur as she nosed him, until she pounced and sent him into the dirt. He huffed out as his back hit the ground and he looked up at her face. He noted her paws on his chest and he tilted his head, before a smile broke onto his face and he laughed. His hands found their way to her sides, making their way to her shoulder blades then to her neck. He braced himself before he surged upwards and to the side, rolling them so he landed on his side. He chuckled, looking over at her. "I did not need a dirt path there love" He said, before grabbing a handful of the stuff and tossing it towards her side playfully.
