  Before becoming donning the golden armor, Gildedguy was a painting worker who yearned to do battle. He painted houses, fences, and other menial jobs to fund his humble lifestyle. Until one day, he came across a powerful, slushy "paint" that allowed him to forge his armor and sword (imbued with unexpected, special properties).
  
  Gildedguy now roams (but not too far from his house) to find what the best use of this paint is, why he has it, and how it can help pay the bills.

  Blue has trained as a swordsman from a very young age, now in his twenties. His master, Anjin, granted him the sword he currently wields. Anjin attempted to teach Blue a technique so that he could properly control the energy in his sword at will, but Blue never perfected it. Blue has since left, and was simply a wandering swordsman, fulfilling any tasks that came his way. He's now joined the Burst Crusaders, settled down, and is currently under training with the Chronicle Emperor Triton to enhance his abilities with his sword.

  Vitan is probably the most unlucky citizen to grace Valorhold from childhood to adulthood, something as simple as buying food or just doing her part-time job becomes a life or death situation for her (At Least in her point of view) and this is why she mostly stays at home like a hermit, because life has scared her into never going outside and pretty much doing anything with a risk but the loneliness is extremely crippling, deciding it’s better to go outside and face life head on instead of running away from her problems after her internet friends motivated her to do so by telling her to fuck off and get an actual life. Now, She’s planning to go outside even more than usual and interact more with people even if it kills her because she was dead tired of the crippling loneliness.​

As of right now, I only have four characters in mind, all from XCOM 2 even if I've been eyeing TF2 for a bit.
Yuri "Final" Vinogradov/Elena "Outrider" Dragunova, Reapers. Stealth experts and not half bad shots either. Outrider isn't a guarantee, but Final is.
Pratal "Mox" Mox, Skirmisher. Prefers to get up close and personal with his enemies with a bullpup and a sort of claw-grappling hook gauntlet.
Lian "Prophet" Song, Templar. Prophet uses an autopistol, but his main weapons are his wrist mounted psi-blades (think about the ones the starcraft protoss use but purple). Also boasts a high amount of tactical flexibility owing to the fact he absorbs an energy called focus upon killing an enemy and sometimes striking an enemy.

  Weirdmargeddom happens and Bill is almost defeated by the circle of symbols, but in a desperate effort takes over Dipper who has to fight him off inside him own Mindscape. Due to how weak the Dream Demon already was, Dipper wins but at the cost of merging with the remains of Bill that are leftover in his own mind and thus, becoming a Dream Demon himself in the process, this is the event denominated 'Transcendence' and the begining of Alcor, The Dreambender, a demon stronger than Bill was for his previous connection with the Physical Plane as a human. The event also shatters the barrier around Gravity Falls that kept all of the mythical creatures and weirdness inside the city's border, making their existence and consequential issues known to the entire world.
  What follows is a plethora of hardships regarding physical transformations, being shunned by family members, fighting off newfound-demonic urges and even dealing with cultists and random summonings.
  
  Despite the show it comes from, TAU is often heartwrenching, dark and gruesome, divided into several eras and the span of many many marvellously written fanfictions describing Dipper's new life and the struggle of having to see everyone he loves eventually die, many times, as he follows their souls and watches over their reincarnations.​

Mitsuo himself carries several scars from the abuse he's received at a young age, physical bullying exerted by the normal kids of the neighbourhood that could have gotten him killed if it hadn't been by the interference by an NPF officer. Being rescued like that was exactly what prompted the Neko to join the force when older and strive to guarantee a better and safe life to other Kemonomimi like him.​

And then she got adopted and her life just spiralled down out of control. The man that adopted her wasn't interested in a daughter nope, instead Sinead was put to work on a maid café without a say about it.
  The Inumimi endured the forced labor until she completed 18 and the owner tried to rape her. Her until now undiscovered magic kicked and taking advantage of being invisible, she ran asking for protection of the NPF. Now she lives on their headquarters, as their clerk worker/mascot. Sinead is rather clumsy but she tries her best with the paperwork. Old men make her paranoid.​

As such he will constantly travel to the cities junkyard, bring a plethora of mechanical parts home and by working in his make-shift, hidden garage workshop and create tiny contraptions with them, of the practical kind, and some that are more like robotic toys. He also fixes some appliance here an there, like an old radio and clocks. Wray's biggest dream is to work as an engineer for Hexacorp, especially for those incredible flying ships people can travel on.
  
  One day, he got a weird letter, and also with it electrical powers that he had certainly not asked for. The letter would transport him to a new world, Irentha where he'd discover himself and several other folks to be part of a prophecy and to stop their worlds from collapsing. And this is how inventor boy became a living battery of sorts... He's not all that thrilled with the idea.​

  The Umbreon of a trainer that had abandoned the dream to work as a children's book author instead. Kaipo Anakoni, originally from the Alola region, didn't feel like he was deserving of keeping his pokémon around after he gave up, releasing them all into the wild and yet always finding Zenith back at his doorstep no matter how many times he tried. So eventually, he relented and let the Dark Type remain, who had become a great company for work and reading hours even if a bit too trickery for the man's liking.
  
  And then one day, Zenith was back from a stroll and found the door to their cabin locked, the insides in disarray and no one in sight. Without knowing what to do, the Umbreon has ever since been on a journey to try and find his lost trainer, a now battered red scarf being the only memory from home and happier times.​

  From a rural supernatural hunting village down by the south, very conservative in its traditions, for example, in the fact that woman could not be hunters at all, little Rayda wanted to follow in the footsteps of her hunter big brother Liam sooo bad that she'd sneak out with hand-made bow and arrows to train in secret in the forest nearby. One mistake was all it took. Having gotten distracted and away for too late, Rayda was attacked by a werewolf and only survived the encounter by tripping and falling down a hole while the beast had been in pursuit. The problem? She had been bitten in the process and knowing nothing against the supernatural due to the strict village laws, knew not to say anything about it.
  
  A month later, she would transform for the first time and taking her home by surprise at a weak defence moment, destroy it completely. Eventually, by the morning, the reality of the situation would get to her and filled with grief and regret she'd do the only thing she could think of at the time. Run away. On that moment forwards, Rayda's life would flip a twisted 180 as she now had to not only live with the past, but forever struggle with keeping the beast at bay, trying to avoid new tragedies the most she can, slipping somewhere and failing, only to let even more regret and even more grief to lull her back into wanting to end it and not having the strength to.
  Rayda takes her current life as some kind of punishment, always trying to make up for the horrible things the beast has done and never ever being able to actually accomplish it. Eternal suffering.​

The whole idea was complicated to his family at first, but after looong talks they relented. The boy has even since learnt a lot about plants, acquiring more and more of a trivia on them, with a passion that only grew with time. He's settled on studying Botanics in college one day and cares for flora more than he cares for people, becoming the number one defender of plants wherever he's at.

  An abandoned android maid that was replaced by her family and thrown at the dump nation. At the shock of seeing a new updated version of her and being replaced so easily, something in her programming changed and the inadequately shutdown G-15 423.161 now having given herself the name of Grace DAWN, found herself in this strange new world with new sensations. In one fo her travels, she found a cat, a tiny white furry creature missing its tail, leaking blood and incredibly dirty and something prompted her to take care of it. It was later named 'Sky' and has been travelling with her ever since, a type of attachment that the robotic maid is still unsure of or its reasons to be.​

Ophelie was the daughter of a couple of medics that would go to war focuses and assist both sides with healing, having learned a lot about their trade from a very small age. Her mom died during one of their travels and seeing the melancholy of her father, Lie had promptly filled her place, now a father and daughter medical unit, until of course, the radiation got to him and he perished.
  
  After a couple of days wandering all alone, Ophelie Portier would be visited by a dragon, Gentasine, who sounded more like a frightened teenager and had apparently come to take her from the destroyed world. They've been together ever since.​

But eventually, it got to her, the fact that she could never do it again and that the accomplishment might not even truly be hers was a big blow to her ego. 'Licce quit the team and abandoned anything sports-related, even her beloved parkour for the rest of high school, forever carrying this uncertainty with her...
  
  Until F.O.R.U.M, the anti-terrorism force of the town, had found an enemy that even their best men could not solve. It was up for Taskforce L (for Loser) to step to the job and there she was, with a tennis launcher ready to sign up and single-handedly save the day for she was the Amazing 'Licce and no problem remained unsolved around her! Or at least, that's what she thinks.​

Nearly choked out of air by a violent husband from an arranged marriage, then dumped in a lake still alive, the strength of the girl's curses spawned a new life, a new chance as a rusalka, a kind of revengeful water nymph, bent in charming and drowning every man that got lost in the borders of her 'reign'. Eventually, centuries later, she's bored, decides to move away from the Hańcza into Luxor Academy and is once again faced with the struggles of feelings, long forgotten, when a teacher is incredibly nice to her and she falls in love all over again. A twisted, monopolizing, delusional kind of love.​

  Raised in a temple that's a front for the Phoenix Clan and having said Deity of Fire somewhere waaay down his bloodline, Sage has been taught nothing but restraint, mediation and the like in an attempt to keep his powers a secret and allow him to carry a normal life. With a world-ending prophecy hanging over his head, you can guess how difficult that was already, but then everything would explode at college. Not literally, at least, not at first. His best friend Lucy had called him to the rooftop of the History building, weird vibes were everywhere, she wasn't really making much sense... And then she jumped. There was no time to think about the consequences as the boy had tossed away the bracelet and dived for her, doing exactly that which he was not supposed to do: use his abilities publicly and attract attention to himself. Then there was the auditorium incident, which is a whole different story...

  Having somehow gotten stuck in cat form and wandered into a human village, Catherine had spent the first 10 years of her life thinking she was just a common cat. She had a nice modest human family caring for her, went on strolls around the neighborhood thought the other cats didn't like her as much without quite knowing why and had even gotten a collar to show off! Life was simple and nice, until an older male, another magical creature, had crossed her path and seen right through her. He was the one that revealed to her that she was actually a werecat and taught her plenty about the magical world, other creatures and that she wasn't supposed to live this close to the humans due to the prejudices against them. Eventually, the man who collected magical artefacts left on his own journey but not without leaving someone else, or something else behind, Avell.
  
  The sword is like an instructor, said to have lived many many years and served many many masters, it acts as a living encyclopedia of the magical world to Cathy and a weapon in case she needs to defend herself. Which, ever since she's fallen in love with the excitement of being an adventurer, she does. Avell can cast spells of his own from a very extensive library, by using the user's mana pool. Unfortunately, in his own words, Cathy has the 'worst, most erratic and tiniest mana pool ever witnessed in his existence' and is stuck using average low-level incantations, depending mostly on sword-fighting and feline reflexes, oops...​

The used to live in the Crypton household, together with KAITO, MEIKO, Hatsune Miku and Megurine Luka, where things were always lively and overall light-hearted, despite the extreme amount of work and practice to do.

Together with his squad composed of 7 other integrands just as well-trained and somewhat vicious, he's completed 5,624 missions before he got deployed to Earth of Sector Unkown and things got a little more complicated. Suddenly, there was a counter to them, someone in charge of keeping all these animal under control, Gunter.
  
  Ex-gang member Lioness has the ability to stare so strongly at a person that it could cause them actual physical pain and had been tasked with keeping these animal alien soldiers at bay by some irony of destiny. Now they all sort of live with her... Always plotting their next move, trying to complete the mission they were set off to do without her interference: Eradicate the Earth.
  
  At the end of Enter the Cosmos, however, having just been granted some time away from the ever-military and duty-filled life that he had lived thus far, one without true allies and merely fiends stuck together by the circumstances, Thae'il found himself hesitant to return to Gunter's Earth, given that it would mean a return to his mission as a World-destroyer. Instead, beginning to act more of his own accord, he took on CN-Tan's offer to move in with her, self-declaring a vacation from his job 'without a planned ending date'. What will come of that, only time can tell...​
