The Lone Wolf

Castaway

Six kingdoms rule the land of Ladina each yearning to be the most powerful. War's, treaties, betrayals, and tricks fill the territories across the land. Each kingdom consists of a different race; Vampires, werewolves, demons, humans with and without magic. Pirates, rebels, and sirens wreck havoc and cause chaos throughout the kingdoms, not caring for anyone but themselves, they trick, steal, and betray for fun.

VOF7.gif
The humans who possess great magic abilities reside in the Northern part of Ladina. The Castella house rules that land with a forgiving heart. As humans, the kingdom of Kisea is always on the lookout. The other kingdoms of different races come for their vast power and land. Currently on a treaty with the Kingdom of Aurum the two kingdoms fight hand and hand to defend one another from forces that wish to crumble their kingdoms. Kisea's princess works as both a healer and defender of Aurum, while the Aurum princess's strong will and brilliant ideas help to revolutionize the hierarchy of Kisea. Having only one solid ally Kisea has many enemies, the biggest appending thread, the demons. Grow in power every day and pose a huge threat against the magic kingdom Kisea, their dark magic and Kisea's princess's magic do not mix. No good or bad will has been exchanged with the vampires or werewolves as of now, however, a union of two kingdoms may be approached as Kisea's princess nears the age to be wed.

The kingdom of Aurum lays on beautiful land. The soil is forever fertile even through droughts and plague, the water is always clear and clean and the sun always shines through the clouds. A wall protects them from impending danger from other kingdoms. Full of life the princess of Aurum was believed to be blessed by the stars. At the age to be wed many suitors fill Aurum fighting to win the brilliant princess's heart. In a treaty with Kisea the two princesses grew up close, always at social gatherings and balls together. The kingdom of Larek, or the werewolf kingdom, is at good terms with Aurum in hopes to marry the princess. The pirates are Aurum's biggest concern, sneaking in and stealing anything they can get their hands on, the captain of the Forbidden Soul seeks to break Aurum's walls and crack the stability of the kingdom.

Sirens and mermaids fill the ocean's of Ladina, women with the tail of a fish. Some good, neutral, and bad. Their favorite activity is toying with humans and any other race that will fall for their beauty, charm, and song. Most stay within their homeland and their temple, but some venture off and become powerful royals, rebels, and pirates. Legend says that if one was to seek the temple of the siren's and bewitch a siren's heart they would be granted the immunity of their song. Many had tried but it may all be but a legend. They are on good terms with the pirates, who provide them with lovely treasures and people to toy with. They are otherwise neutral with the six kingdoms and just cause drama and break people apart. They are usually found basking in the sun on rocks and their voice can be heard from afar trapped in the wind. Most think they are myth and since they look like any other human most brush them off. Rumor has it that some clans plan to relocate on land, ruling the sea and land. Nothing

The Sacred Coven Kingdom or the Vampire kingdom was once a beautiful castle and lush land but a curse put on them by a magic-wielding human plunged their land in darkness. No crops, or animals are about to live in this barren land and none come to visit. Despite this fact, The Sacred Coven is a powerful and formidable kingdom. Having one of the best-trained armies in the land, The Sacred Coven is thought highly of by most kingdoms and many treaties are thrown at them. The magic-wielding humans are the only kingdom that is not in The Sacred Coven's good graces, they have nothing physical with the kingdom but trading and power exchanges do not happen between them. The Sacred Coven is still wary of the magic humans.

The kingdom of Larek is a mostly peaceful kingdom. They have a whole economic system of their own and usually keep to themselves. The castle lays on land rich with minerals, oil and water. Siren's are an appending danger due to their close proximity to the sea. In being so close to the sea the Siren temple is closest to their grasp. The prince and princess of Larek usually take rule, due to their parents wanting them to gain ruling experience. Either the prince or princess could take the throne, gender does not matter in the kingdom of Larek, only power does. The prince doesn't seem to have much hope with ruling Larek so his parents plan to marry him off to the princess of Aurum, they are especially nice to the Aurum kingdom in hopes of winning the princess's hand in marriage. They are otherwise very neutral with all the other kingdoms, they do not usually cause many problems. They often put on lavish parties and balls to show off their wealth and power. They are known across Ladina for their hospitality. They plan on hosting a social gathering sometime soon, invitation are specialized and can't be missed.

Flames Domination resides on a mountain, their castle is intertwined and integrated into the mountain. The land is dark and more baren than lush but raw magic fills the air and earth. Not many outside the demon kingdom visit their castle. Flame's Domination is seemingly the most powerful and populated kingdom of the six kingdoms. They possess two powerful rulers and promising aires. They have no allies or enemies but many fear the attacks they can launch. Using mainly dark magic the demon kingdom is a force to be reckoned with. They are mainly mysterious and no thoughts on arranged marriages have been discussed with other kingdoms. Many kingdoms would jump at the opportunity to create a truce or treaty with the powerful kingdom.

Pirates are the enemy of everyone in Ladina, unless you can strike a deal. The Forbidden Soul lurks the oceans in search of their next victim. Their target is currently the kingdom of Aurum. They wise to destabilize the powerful kingdom and watch it crumble, taking what they wish and spreading their name. The Cursed Captain is believed to be the only pirate alive to have the sirens as his allies, he provides them with what they wish and they help him conquer the lands he desires. His crew like himself are fierce and powerful, his first mate, dubbed The Ocean's Temptress, is beautiful and alluring yet as dangerous as they come. Their titles and names bring fear to many people's hearts. Many have fled their villages and towns in fear of the destruction the pirates of the Forbidden Soul can create.

    Princess Alice Castella
Princess Alice sat in her room at her desk, writing a letter to her dearest friend, Verity of Aurum. A dazzling smile lit up her features as she wrote away.

    Dear Verity,

It has been a while since we last spoke, how are you? I am so very pleased to be traveling to Larek with you. I can not wait to see the lovely dress you will be wearing. I have heard rumors of the prince's attempts to court you, is this true? If so how is it being courted by such a powerful kingdom's prince?

By the time this letter reaches you I will be arriving at Aurum in five hours' time. I can not wait to see your kingdom again, it always dazzles me in every way.

    Your dear friend,
    Alice

When she was done writing Alice rolled the letter up and sealed it with her family crest, a singular rose. Then give it to a messenger bird, "to Aurum." She said and gently pet the bird.

"Now... What shall I wear?" She thought aloud. The princess of Kisea wanted to stand out enough to be noticed but not to try and steal the show. "Green." She pondered aloud once again. "Yes! Green and gold! I know the perfect dress." She began to rummage through her wardrobe of many dresses until her gaze fell upon an emerald green dress with gold embroidery covering the skirt. It was a slim fitting dress with no large skirt, Alice despised big bulky dresses. How could she defend herself in such a dress?

She called upon her maids who packed it away neatly and fixed her appearance. She thanked them and a fresh coat of makeup was applied to her delicate features. Her dress was then straightened out. She wore a light blue dress accented with silver gems and leaf-shaped embroidery down the front of the skirt. "Now off to Aurum." She spoke then followed her maids down the stairs, outside and to the carriage. She opted for a less flashy carriage due to the increase of pirates and bandits. The last thing she wanted was her carriage to be attacked. She positioned herself comfortably on the left side of the carriage, a book in her hand. She only brought one knight and a butler with her. The roads to Aurum were one of the safest in Ladina. Now for a long ride.

The Star of Aurum, Verity

In the dining room of a grand castle, stood a long wooden table in the center. The room had a fire place on one side, and on the other were large windows that climbed all the way to the ceiling. Two footmen, in their black and white suits, stood at attention on one end of the room near the door. They patiently waited in front of another smaller table, that held several dishes and other expensive silver-ware that were so carefully polished, you could see your reflection in it. They patiently waited to serve food, or open the doors. At one end of the lengthy dinner table sat the silver-haired princess, quietly enjoying her breakfast at an other wise empty table. Her parents, the king and queen, were away on official business. In the mean time, Verity stood at the castle alone...other than the maids, cooks, and other helping hands and guards. Then came a quiet knock at the double doors behind her.

Knock. Knock.

One of the two butlers in the room moved to the door and pushed on the lever to open it. The small whisper from the other servant on the other side seemed loud in the empty all. He handed passed on a smaller silver platter with a single letter and an opener beside it, in the center. The door shut, and the butler in the room approached the princess with the platter in hand, "Your Highness," he lowed the platter to her level. Verity set down her silverware, picked up her napkin and patted around her lips before reaching for the letter and the opener. She sliced the envelope apart and pulled out the paper within. Placing the torn envelope and letter opener back on to the plate, she read the letter.

It was from the princess' good friend, Alice. The two had practically grown up as friends. Being a princess from a far away kingdom, they don't see each other often but they religiously write to each other. Verity scoffed and smiled at the letter, Alice loved talking about Verity's potential suitors but knew well enough by now that Verity always rejected them for one reason or another. Pushing her seat from the table, the princess stood up. The footmen immediately came over to clean up the dishes and left over food. Verity reached into a small pocket in her dress a pulled out a pocket-watch to check the time. A princess with a pocket-watch? How untraditional. It was enough to make the old, pompous lords and ladies faint. "Are preparations already being made for today's dinner?"

"Yes, Your Highness," a butler replied, "The cooks have already started."

"Good," Verity's voice held purpose, "And what about the flowers for the foyer?"

"We have already sent someone to pick up the arrangement in town earlier this morning, princess."

"Excellent, thank you," Verity made her way to the door and the head butler rushed to open the door for her. The princess stopped before leaving the room and looked at the other, much younger butler still cleaning the table," Both of you," she added with a smile, and left the room.

Five hours was almost no time at all. Everyone within the castle walls was on edge being this was the day the house was going to host another royal and other important people in society. Maids scurried around up stairs to prepare beds and dust the guests rooms, the cooks frantically cooked away while they stressed about having the freshest ingredients, and butlers waltzed around the castle polishing silver and cleaning antiques. Everyone had a job today. Verity's hand-maid walked down the hall with the head housekeeper with a quick pace until the housekeeper realized the princess was there. She stuck her hand out to keep the hand-maid from walking further, "Your Highness!" They exclaimed. The head housekeeper was an older woman, very experienced in her job and the head of all maids and in change of the upkeep of the castle, had an anxious twinge in her voice. The pair curtsied with haste, "I apologize I didn't see you standing there, so much to do and-"

"Don't worry. Im not offended," Verity cut her off and laughed to lighten the mood. The housekeeper felt an invisible noose around her neck after not acknowledging the princess' presence but she returned a nervous chuckle anyway. "I suppose you came just in time, I have a question for you. Would you excuse myself and Mrs. Field, Edina?" she asked the young maid.

"Of course," and with another curtsy the hand-maid took her leave to continue preparations.

Verity turned her head to Mrs. Field, the housekeeper, "Is there any word yet on whether or not the Duke Montefelt will be joining us this evening? He is well trusted by my family, and we could certainly use the protection. I feel....uneasy, admittedly, having Alice stay with us. Two princesses under the same roof with out the King or Queen around? Its just too enticing for anyone with any malicious intent," she confessed. Verity normally wasn't one to admit her fears but Mrs. Field was almost like a second mother to her.

"Im afraid not Your Highness," she sighed and looked away, "But I will make sure I will personally let you know if there's any word," she bowed.

Verity looked disappointed, "Very well. Thank you."

Interaction: Walking towards the Location of the Larek's fiftieth ball

Walking down the streets of Larek was a strange sight, a man in a foreign clothing, wearing a blue mask, and outfitted with a straw basket on his back walking around. But some people were used to his sight, after his arrival to Larek a few months ago, he had been a common occurrence each couple of days, often going there to collect supplies before heading back outside to a Forest a couple of miles away, his home somewhere deep inside. But today, he was here for a different purpose, he had been given a letter a couple of hours ago to some sort of ball in Larek, the reason for inviting him was unknown but he did have a few ideas why. He heard a noise from his basket, which signaled him of what he needed to do. He walked into a nearby alley and seemed to disappear inside the alleyway for a while, before exiting the alleyways couple of minutes after, the only thing left behind was an empty bottle.

Two hours later, he had managed to reach the location of where the fiftieth ball was supposed to take place, waiting on the outside of the gate with the invitation in hand, waiting for the guards to take notice and brings him inside. He would watch a carriage go by him as he calmly waited to be given access inside. He sigh as he stood waiting, remembering some parts of his past that led to him leaving his home and living in a strange and foreign land.

Leon di Montefelt
Before the gates of the grand castle a young man rides, his hair being blown by the wind. A small gathering of armed men ride along side him, the sun reflecting from their armor. These well trained men where the personal retinue of Leon, trained soldiers who had grown up with him in his childhood and joined him on his military expedition. He halted before the guards, dropping off his horse he pulls out an insignia of the di Montefelt family, the guards nod and turn to open the gate.

The young man enters as his entourage dismounts and follows him, one of them asks the young lord as they are walking their horses to the stables "Leon, you sick bastard, taking us on this road trip without telling us where or why we are going. My wife is expecting a child in a few weeks! Then you come in and start telling me and the lads to pack up for a few days, and you bring us to the fucking capital. The last time we where here we ended up having to fight another goddamn stupid boarder war with those goddamn demons." the man ranted as the other knights laughed.

"Now Reginald, its nice of you to be considered for our well-being but we follow Leon to whatever idiotic calls from the capital he gets, after all he would throw himself into a fire if the princess told him too." another knight said, Leon chuckling and replied "Very funny, now tie up the horses properly if you want to eat at the end of today."

Reginald and the other knight groaned as the others continued to laugh, tying the horses to the poles Leon fixed himself up, wearing the standard officer's uniform of the empire, on it a gold and blue emblem with a silver line to represent his dukedom, he turned to his men and said "His majesty told me to escort the princess to the event in Larek, and as a infamous commander it would be humorous to see my past enemies in the courtroom." he smirked, regained his composure and continued to speak "Now men, I will be looking for the princess and his majesty, you guys can go enjoy the capital, but I want all men to report back to me at midday." The men saluted and Leon responded in kind, then seeing his men leave he sighed and said "Now onto the hard part, figuring out where the princess is..."

He turned towards one of the guards and asked "Now solider, where would I find the princess at this moment?" the guard shrugged and said "Wouldn't know, I only guard the entrance sir. But it would be time for breakfast." with the guard's mentions Leon's stomach grumbled. "How long have I been riding without stopping?" he thought to himself as he thanked the guard and entered the palace.

Walking around the castle he enjoyed looking at the artifacts and pictures of the Kingdom and its royalty. He checked room after room but he couldn't find the dining hall, but he stumbled across the grand library, he used to enjoy coming here to read on the history of the Kingdom and the books that not even his dukedom had. So he entered the library, finding a nice edge near the window he lied down and not realizing how tired he was, started to doze off. "Wow, it must have been a long time since I last sleep, well I can't find the princess so it wouldn't matter if I took a quick nap right?" he muttered to himself, before he finally fell asleep, his head gently leaning on the window.

A maid walked by as she cleaned the library, upon finding the sleeping duke she first was shocked, then panicked for a moment before rushing towards where the housekeeper was, rushing into the dinning room she ran up to Mrs.Field and said "Madam, the duke is here."

The Ocean's Temptress, Qi'ara

The salty breeze was one of Qi'ara's favorite reasons for sailing. Other than the fact that a sailor's life is a lot more free than the societies on land, even more so a pirate's life. While Xander steered the ship, the siren stood on the balcony over looking the ship a few feet in front of him. Her elbows rested on the wooden railing and had one foot crossed behind the other, leaning her weight to one side of her hips. She took a deep breath and rolled her neck to alleviate stiffness. "Pretty princesses," she scoffed. Qi'ara turned her head and looked at the Captain from over her shoulder, her short, brown hair whipping in the wind. "You break my heart sometimes, Captain." The siren turned to face him, she leaned back and propped her elbows on the wood again, puffing out her chest and letting her head sink into her shoulders a little, "Why need snobby princesses when you have me~?" she pouted. A hand reached for a small throwing knife she kept in a holster on her thigh. She held it with her fingertips before confidently spinning it in her hand and throwing it across the ship and hitting a post. Her mark made a thud when it hit the wood. "Im a lot more dangerous too," she grinned, using the other hand to move some hair out of her face.

Qi'ara followed her captain to his quarters where he rolled out a map on his table. He pointed to a star on the map, which caused her to raise her eyebrow curiously. Xander asked for her input but she scrunched her nose with skepticism, "Whats so great about this place?" Her mischievous eyes scanned the map until they spotted the crest of a white stallion with a small drawing of a well-walled castle underneath. "Ooh what about here," she pointed. She's been there a couple times before Xander was the captain of this ship but that was a long time ago. She usually avoided large kingdoms like Aurum, too many guards. But she felt like being challenged, and apparently so did Xander, or so Qi'ara assumed, "You wanted a princess? I haven't been here in a while, but rumor has it that the King and Queen are away tending to some matters. Whatever these royals do," she said with distaste. "Which means Its just the princess. She may be heavily guarded, but the rest of the kingdom may be easy pickens," she laughed at the thought of scampering around, stealing anything they could get themselves into and perhaps having a drink or two. "We don't want too much attention anyway, then they'd be on the look out, and we might wanna come back if we can. Even if we did slip up, she probably won't know what to do." she added with a chuckle. "So?" Qi'ara crossed her arms and looked at Xander, "Whaddya think?" she smirked slyly, "You up for a little run?"

    Princess Alice Castella
Princess Alice read on the carriage, a light breeze flowing in through the open window. Her mind kept wandering from her book and to the ball, she couldn't wait. She hadn't been to a big ball in some time. She was always too busy learning, training, and healing the wounded. She closed her book and stuck her head out of the window, the knight who sat next to the driver raised an eyebrow. "Oh Julian don't mock me." She smiles. "Let me have some fun when no royals are around to judge me." She ran her fingers through her long ginger hair and the knight chuckles. "I can't wait to see Verity! I've missed her so much." She smiles widely and Julian just smiles back. Only Verity, Jullian, and her handmaid saw her fun-loving side. "Would you join me in here Julian? I do wish for someone to talk to." She gave him a cute pout and fluttered her eyelashes.

He raised another eyebrow at her but couldn't resist the face he gave her. "Fine fine," he said. The butler stopped the wagon and Julian sat across from her.

"Are you excited to see Aurum again?" She asks, her eyes full of wonder and her smile sparkling. It was hard to tell that this princess could become so fierce on the battlefield when she was always so delicate and kind.

"Always, milady." He replies, "Aurum is a beautiful and their castle is a sight to behold." Julian was not awkward at all, Alice asked stuff like this of him all the time.

"Julian?" She asked, her smile fell from her face. "Verity's will not be present for the whole duration of our stay. Do you think we will be attacked?" Her eyes fell to her hands.

"I am not sure Lady Alice. I hope not, but having two princesses under the same roof without the king and queen would be very appealing to both Aurum's princess's enemies and your enemies." He spoke carefully trying not to upset Alice, she was a handful when she was upset.

"I do agree." She replies with a heavy sigh. "Verity has Duke Lion and I have you, I do not worry much for our safety." She meets his eyes, "and we have me. I will fight to protect Aurum with all my might, just as Verity would fight for our kingdom." She nods and her happy mood resurfaces. "Dance with me this time?" She asks while wiggling her eyebrows playfully.

Julian laughs, "Lady Alice, that is not proper and is looked down upon."

Alice replies with a big playful pout and dramatic sigh. "You are not fun sometimes, Julian. I hate dancing with such stuck up princes. Verity gets all the charming and fun ones. No one wants a perfect dainty princess like me." She huffs like a child and crosses her arms. "They want a challenge like Verity!" She giggles. "I would want a bride like her if I was a prince too." Since she got no romance novel like princes she always picked and pried at Verity's "romance".

Julian frowns at her, plenty of princes and dukes propose marriage to her. The king and queen have to refuse them daily, but Alice was right about how boring and plain they were. If others knew of the real Alice maybe more interesting people would court her.

Time flew by as the two talked about one thing after another. They traveled over hills and through the forest until the kingdom was in sight. It would still take a good forty minutes before they arrived but Alice stuck her head out of the window again. "Jullian! It's Aurum!" She shouts excitedly.

He quickly yanked her back in and rolled his eyes. "Lady Alice! Someone might see you!" He exclaims.

She sighs and apologizes, "I apologize, I just got excited." She tries to frown but her smile was much too obvious. "Sam! Are we able to go any faster?" She shouted out the window to the butler.

"Only by a bit, milady." He replies and ushers the horses to pick up their pace. Alice looked out the window as the trees began to thin and open field filled her vision.

"Lady Alice... Please calm down, you need to be an example of Kisea." Julian reminded her.

"Yes, yes. I am well aware of that. I always am, until Verity and I are alone of course."

They soon came to the walls of Aurum and were greeted by the guards at the gate. They allowed them passage and the carriage rode through the streets. Alice watched calmly on the outside but was screaming on the inside at the vendors and different foods Aurum had. Oh how she adored the food here. When the main castle came into view their arrival would be announced soon.

Location: Outside of the Larek Castle
Interaction: Waiting patiently at the gate

It seemed very slow to him, but maybe its because not doing anything for a while made it seemed like time is moving quicker than expected, as he started whistling to pass the time. The only weapons he had were his two Katanas, not bothering to bring his bow and quiver along since it’s a simple party which is most likely heavily guarded due to the Invitations, so he had no reason to bring it along with him. He then heard an person behind him, most likely female due to the tone of the voice, and turned around to face a woman in a maroon colored dress. He heard the woman say that was he here for the Ball, to which he responded with a nod. While this person was beautiful to many other people, he still had much important things to take care of first before he could even thinks of finding someone to love, which is not very likely to happen due to a certain few events in his pass that led to him being here. The woman would continue speaking, talking about how she was a noble from a far-away land and people often mistake her for a citizen here at Larek, very ironic in a way to his own past, but still different in a way. She then would say if he was someone in power, to which he was gonna respond back but before he can even get a single word out, the gate behind him began opening as someone he learned about came from the gate, that person being Prince Derek of the Larek kingdom. He would face the Prince as he began speaking about their travels to the castle and Larek and also spoke about their invitations needed to enter. He simply raised his right hand which held the invitation as he waited for the Prince’s response.

Elana of The Silver Lunar Clan
Elana mentally rolled her eyes at the foreigner. Of course he has no interest in pretty girls. Whatever, on to a new human. Her attention was pulled from her thoughts when the gate began to open. A handsome man greeted them and she gave him a warm smile. "It indeed was." She replies while pulling the invitation from her left pocket and presented it to him. Her eyes had a soft look to them as if she was innocent and pure. She adored playing the helpless princess and seeing what man would come to her rescue. Now, this man has to like pretty girls. She thought, hello handsome. Want to play a game? "It's a great pleasure to finally meet you, Prince Larek." She gave him a small curtsy before looking around the open gate. It was a beautiful castle with lush gardens. She wished to be able to live in such a place, maybe she could woo him.

(sorry for my absence, things are a little crazy on my end)

The Star of Aurum, Verity

There wasn't much for a princess to do on a day like this. Everyone was too busy to even stop for simple conversation. The high energy in the house was a little over bearing and Verity felt like she kept getting in the way. She wandered outside to the castle's garden, which when you reached the end, over-looked most of Aurum. The castle was built on a peak and depending on where you are, you could see the vastness of the kingdom, all the way out to the ocean. Verity took a moment to breathe in some fresh air and think about what to do to waste some time. "I suppose I could pick out what I want to wear, that usually takes some time. I'll just need Edina to help," and with that thought, Verity turned and headed for the castle once again. Before she could reach the doors, Mrs. Fields came out, huffing and puffing. That poor woman was always out of breath, "Your Highness! I was looking all over for you the Duke di Montefelt is here! He is waiting in the study."

"Oh! That was a lot quicker than expected, I'll go there at once, thank you." Verity smiled and Mrs. Field quickly curtsied before leaving and rushing off to tend to some other business. Verity picked up the skirt of her dress to walk up the steps of the marble patio before entering the inside of the castle once again. With out wasting more time, she headed straight for the library. On the way, she asked a butler to bring in some tea for herself and the Duke, along with a couple of pastries and finger foods. Another servant opened the door for her and Verity walked in, taking note of the snoozing Duke on a sofa. The princess sat across from him, on another matching sofa. The previous butler returned with tea and snacks, placing the snacks on the small table between the two sofas and pouring tea for the princess and still sleeping Duke. Verity wanted to laugh but held it back, as the sound of the pouring liquid filled the room, the princess raised a hand to her lips, "Ahem," she cleared her throat.

Outside of the castle, a messenger who rode on horseback approached the castle. He hopped off his horse, dusty with muddy boots, and knocked on the castle doors. Before the door opened the young man fixed his hair and tried to de-wrinkle his shirt. The door opened to the head footman/butler, Mr. Carlisle. The older man looked down his nose at the younger, filthy boy. Mr. Carlisle was a bit of a snob, but loyal to the Royal family, he wasn't very fond of unannounced guests and visitors. "Oh! Uh," the boy searched his pockets, "I've come with a message from the kingdom gates!" he handed a small piece of folded paper to Mr. Carlisle at the door. While he opened and read it, the boy looked up at the tall castle walls, "Wow," he whispered under his breath.

"The Princess of Kisea is already here?" Mr. Carlisle was surprised. With a frustrated sigh he folded the paper up again, "Very well, we'll just have to work faster...." The boy and Mr. Carlisle stood there looking at each other for a moment in silence until Mr. Carlisle said, "That....would be all..."

"Oh! Yes, sir! Of course, sir! Thank you, sir!" and the boy mounted his horse, and rode off the castle grounds.

Mr. Carlisle closed the door and sped off for the study, the Princess must be notified at once!. He knocked at the door and entered, "Your Highness, a message from the Kingdom gates!"

"Message?" she took the paper from his fingers and opened it. Verity almost choked on her tea when she read that Alice was already with in the Kingdom walls. "She's here? And so soon! Mr. Carlisle, please make sure everything his ready for her arrival. More importantly make sure her room is ready, that'll give us more time when I show her to her room and help settle her in."

"Yes Your Highness!" Mr. Carlisle exclaimed, and rushed out of the room.

Princess Alice Castella
Princess Alice mutters to herself when the castle grew closer. She was quite early... She hadn't expected the horses to run so quickly. The princess knew that her early arrival was probably very... well annoying. Though Alice planned on roaming the streets and talking with the vendors. Oh yes, she was the type of princess who always ran off an dressed as a villager. It drove her mother crazy. "Julian. I think we should visit Verity and say our hellos and then go enjoy the market's pleasure.

The knight nodded and relayed the message to the butler driving the carriage.

She loved how the wind blew through her hair from the window of the carriage. She loved the smells that seemed so foreign to her. The two rode in silence as Alice took in all the sights of Aurum. Jullian didn't dare disturb her trance. "Sam! Slow down, give the Aurum kingdom a bit of time to get further preparations ready. He nods and the horses slow to a calming trot. The carriage grew closer to the castle and Alice began another random conversation with Julian. "I hope that there are fewer people who have been injured. I have not been here in such a long time, I really do hope they did not need my medical assistance." She spoke quietly in a sadder tone.

Julian began to slightly panic, how was he to lift her spirit? "Well, milady," he began, "If the numbers are less or more you are able to help them quickly and without using much energy. So, think on the positive side. Think of how much you can help them, instead of thinking about how many got injured."

"That's quite fair." Alice nods and sticks her head out of the window again, just not as obvious as before. "I have not seen Leon in so long. The last time I was at Aurum was several months ago, I did not run into him during my visit." She placed a finger to her chin and pursed her lips. She wondered if Leon would be the same person she remembered him to be.

They continued to chat for what felt like hours but was only about ten minutes. They soon reached the gates of the castle and Julian stepped out. Alice had forgotten to let Julian step out before reaching the gate. Her cheeks flared red and she took a few deep breaths to compose herself. Wonderful! Alice thought sarcastically. What will they think of a knight riding in a carriage with the princess? She pushed the thought away when Sam opened the door to her and gave her a sympathetic look. Alice lifted the skirt of her slim dress, stood up, and left the carriage. She let her skirt drop and a warm smile adorned her lips. She intentionally took a while to look around the castle. Once they were formally greeted she'd be off on her way to the markets.

It's all good, trust me I am also busy right now so I might stall on replying too
Leon di Montefelt
Hearing the voice of the princess Leon slowly woke up, stretching his back as he yawned before saying "Pardon me who wo..." before seeing the princess. He immediately panicked, brushed himself off and did a standard military salute, "My princess, the star of Aurum! Pardon this humble servant for allowing you to see me like this. I was longing for some shut eye." he paused and took a deep breath, ruffled his hair and leaning back onto the sofa he sighed and said "Well its good to see you again Verity, honestly it would have been better if you gave me another minute. But how have you been? Have you missed me?" He rubbed his eyes before looking at the tea and taking up a cup took a small sip of it before mumbling "Haven't had a good cup in months, blasted Reginald and his stupid pot."

He remembered the tea he would get on the front-lines, coarse, bitter, and unpleasant but it keep the thirst down and the men up so it was standard in the army but man did Leon despise the taste. But this in comparison was heaven, not only that but the view of the princess he swore to serve unquestioning looking at him was a bonus. Suddenly with the messenger arriving broke his train of thoughts as the princess opened the letter and reading the contents she immediately gave orders, he took another sip of the tea and asked "What's wrong? Need me to do anything your highness?"

(I am kinda sorry for not responding for a while, had some problems back at home, and excuse the shortness, I needed to get a post in today)
Aramusha
Location: outside of Larek castle
Interaction: Entering the gate along with the prince

After the prince accepted the invitation he had, the prince opened the gate and walked inside, Aramusha following as well. While walking, the prince spoke about where Aramusha came from, and wanted to know more about its culture. Aramusha rose a brow at this and just said
“I come from Nakhaan..... a land far away from here. But I am not comfortable enough to speak to you about it.”he said, hoping to get the prince uninterested in the topic. If it did not work, he would have to say some things because improvising is tough, and he is over those days. But while still walking, some movement came from the basket he wore on his back along with some wounds coming from it, making it seem like something alive is in there. Aramusha looked back in surprise as he face the prince once more and said “Uh..... do you know where I would be staying at, because I need to know where I would be.” he said, hoping that the prince would hurry up and respond.

Mirg

[I Castle of Aurum[/I]]

I wonder why they came for me specifically.

Despite being a prince, most of the people fortunate enough to hear of his travels and exploits think of him as a mercenary. As such, due to it being easier to just go along with it, Mirg was used to people requesting him to go on various missions and quests. However, probably due to being the prince of the Flame's Dominion, very few ever had the courage to ask him to be a bodyguard. Much less guard someone as important as a princess.

Despite this, the King of Aurum met with him in secrecy a time ago, personally, and asked him to do just that. After all, she'd be accompanied by the princess of Kisea.

If it weren't for his pacifistic tendencies and desire to unite the many kingdoms, Mirg probably would have declined. After all, two princesses probably weren't worth the trouble they would no doubt attract, but here Mirg was, walking up to the gates of the castle.

Mirg, dressed in an all-black cloak, held the invitation to Larek's ball as well as a letter written by the king of Aurum himself. After all, it was nice to have a bit of evidence to back up his story although the King promised to make things as easy as possible for him, including telling the princess herself. Being a demon, the princesses had a right to be cautious, but given his history, Mirg was sure they'd be manageable at least.

Once at the gate, Mirg watched as the messenger walked closer. Mirg's face, the only part of his body visible from the cloak, was stone cold, no doubt causing a bit of fear and uncertainty to race through the messenger's head, "W-Who approaches?"

Mirg looked him square in the eye, "You may refer to me as Prince Mirg. If you may inform the princess that I have arrived, I'd be most grateful."

Mirg then handed the two letters to the messenger, "These are for her eyes only. You nor anyone else are permitted to read the contents of these notes. If you do so, you will highly regret it my sir"

Mirg continued his staring contest, and let a little smirk show on his face, " and know that I will know if you read them, understood? .... You may proceed"

Letting the smirk fall, Mirg took the hood off of his cloak, his scythe suddenly peaking out behind his head underneath his cloak, "And thank you for your hospitality."

As the messenger hopped on his horse, moving rather quickly it seemed, Mirg stood and waited, admiring the flora and fauna of the castle surroundings as he waited. Although his face was unknown to commoners and normal folk, those high up in status would no doubt easily recognize the boy as the next ruler to the throne of Flame’s Dominion ... if something were to happen to his parents, that is. Nevertheless, his lack of enthusiasm towards getting the throne would probably lead to him letting his sister handle that stuff anyway ... After all, keeping the dead in line is a hard enough job to add on the authoritarian rule of demons as well.

Crouching to talk to the flowers, Mirg let a smile show on his face, his pale skin seeming to brighten a little as he began to tune out the world around him.
