Fandom Camp Crystal Lake Seeking Counselors For Summer 2020!!

Sword

Rat in the Wall
crystallake.jpg

So I got this idea from basically playing Friday the 13th video game too much. The general idea is our group will be the counselors hired for the summer (not set in stone for 2020, im open to ideas)

And we arrive a few days early before the kids would arrive to party and hang out before the counseling begins...

And then the attacks start :)

That's literally as far as I have gotten so If you play the game alot or love the Friday the 13th series or just want to be a part of a slasher horror (I've joined these just to work on killing off characters and death scene writing etc)

( Possible Stereotypes, NPCs might fill other roles for death reasons)
The Jock
The Edgy Guy
The Preppy Guy
The Class Clown
The Nerd
The Head Counselor
The Girl Next Door
The Goth Girl
The Athletic Girl
The Flirt
The Stoner
The New Kid

Counselor(s) history: (For example, if the Jock was dating the Flirt, or if the Stoner sold drugs to the Preppy kid they would put so here in this section.)

I will be playing the role of New Kid. He will kind of be a little bit of everything, very average, moved to town late in the summer (maybe lives next to The Girl Next Door?) and is on the Football team so he will be somewhat in the clique with the Jock and the Preppy guy, but he's not a good Football player so it's more so just the only people he really knows at Camp besides his neighbor and such at first.[/COLOR]

Always wanted to play a redneck, but I guess the athletic girl sounds fun.

GO FOR IT! I don't see why we can't add Redneck/ Outdoors type to the list. I definitely missed a few so if you have a better trope that is not on the list go for it!

Can I be the class clown?

Because laughter is the best medicine and I have a feeling people are going to get hurt.

Character Trope: The New Guy
Name: Oberon Wood
Age: 18
Physical appearance and or Faceclaim: (Looks like Brenton Thwaites)
Oberon, who goes by Obi for short, stands roughly 6 feet tall. Medium length, brown tousled hair which always seems styled yet messy.
His fashion sense is somewhat hipsterish, and he is almost never seen without his airpods in. His handsome features had attracted the eye of some of the students at Crystal Lake High School, but having moved there so late in the year, Obi never really got a chance to talk to many ofhis fellow students.

(Crystal Lake H.S. Senior Photos, Yearbook)

Three Useful Skills: Stealth. Obi has spent his life playing games like Manhunt and Jailbreak with kids at the various apartment complexes he grew up in. Before his growth spurt he was always one of the smallest kids and over the years he seemed to never get caught; being able to climb high into trees quickly, or keep absolutely still behind a hiding spot for minutes at a time.

Speed. Running was a big part of almost any of the sports Obi played growing up and while he was never the most physically gifted or best performing athletes; he almost never lost a foot race to anyone and played positions like Wide Receiver and Center Field; which speed was the most desired trait for each position. In track he did the best, helping his former schools win relay competitions and such. He wasn't huge on sports but played them for a reason to not go home.

Decision Making "No panic. Two guys around you gotta make a move." Sports, Oberon could care less about, but since the age of 14 he has been making decent money streaming FPS games online. Nowhere near the fame of streamers like Ninja or PewDiePie, but it's translated to the real world with just a cool sense of his surroundings, and never fully panicking in a shitty situation.

Three flaws: Bipolar. He's lost some friends who couldn't quite handle his mood swings, and it's just hard to manage. Some times he's happy, sometimes he's sad, sometimes he reacts overly positive to something, and sometimes overly negative. It's half the reason he often just blocks out the outside world and listens to his music or podcasts.

Overly sarcastic Having changed High School three times because of his mother, Oberon made it a ritual to get the local bully at school's pants ruffled by the end of his first day. All three times ended with him either being hit, slammed into a locker, or verbally chastised with how bad he was going to get his ass whooped.

Any backstory you wish to share:

* Oberon grew up in N.J. but just recently moved to the northern part of the state on the outskirts of the town of Crystal Lake.
* His parents split. His father lives in Maine, where Obi splits his summers, this summer being one he stayed in N.J.
* His older brother lives in and attends the University of Maine, where Oberon also plans on attending.

Counselor(s) history: Doesn't have any true friends amongst the counselors yet, though he actually lives next to The Girl Next Door, and he chatted with The Edgy Guy during his few detentions at the end of the year for skipping class, and was approached by The Jock about joining the Football team next season. He's hoping the experience as a Camp Counselor will allow him to find his true pack heading into his senior year.

Character Trope:
The edgy guy
Name:
Klarion Valeska
Age:
18
Faceclaim:
4AF9E794-058C-4F7C-8BF4-1DB47CAD41B2.jpeg
Three Useful Skills:
Manipulation
He knows how to get into peoples heads and what makes people tick. He likes to put people against each other
Brute force
Growing up with two older brothers, Klarion knows how to put up a fight and a damn good one.
Weapons
Klarion constantly carries a knife around and he knows how to use it, again his brothers taught him how to defend himself. He also knows how to operate and use a gun.

Three flaws:
Anger
Klarion has an explosive temper and a serious anger problem. It all comes from his father who has the same problem and arguments with Klarion are always loud.
Violent
Klarion is always quick to jump to a fight. He enjoys it, in fact. His temper doesn’t help with this and is always threatening people and acting on those threats.
Spitefulness
Klarion is intentionally spiteful to people he doesn’t like. This often ends in a fight or friends being lost. He hates to show kindness as he sees it as weakness.

backstory:
-born in russia and moved to america at 10
-his brothers are both dropouts
-his father is currently in prison and his mother walked out a long time ago

Counselor history:
He’s mates with the class clown and the goth girl. He gets along with the stoner and has dealed with him before. He doesn’t get along at all with the preppy kid and they do butt heads a lot. He’s at a constant war with the jock due to an old fight that he still hasn’t let go of. He also had a brief relationship with the flirt. He likes to poke fun at the girl next door. He’s chatted with the new guy a few times in detention.

Character Trope: The Goth
Name: Ryann Patterson
Age:18
Physical appearance and or Faceclaim:
tumblr_oiozwdtXtR1rji8cio1_1280.jpg

Three Useful Skills:
Marksman- Ryann grew up in a military family so her Dads idea of a family outing is to the shooting range as well as family hunting trips to hunt deer.
Compact- Only being a whopping 5'1" she can fit into small places and has small hands
Survivalist- You know those fun camping trips where you were near a bathhouse? Yeah no when her Dad would take her camping they would literally live off of the land for days.
Three flaws:
No upper body strength
Cant run long distance
Not super observant of her surroundings

Any backstory you wish to share:
As stated above Ryann's Dad was a Marine and they move from place to place very often. Her Dad ran his house like it was 29 palms. Despite this he still let Ryann express herself as long as she went along with his crazy outings and camping trips. After awhile Ryann grew to enjoy spending this time with her Dad. Ryann didn't have a very good relationship with her Mother. Her Mom and Dad divorced when she was young and she wanted to live with her Dad.
Counselor(s) history: Message me if you wanna add some history!

Character Template
Character Trope: Class Clown
Name: Tiff Wright
Age: 18
Physical appearance and or Faceclaim:

unnamed-1online.jpg

Three Useful Skills:

Prankster. To be funny he sometimes does pranks on people, like when he sticky glued another student’s chair. The student had to take his pants off to get free.

Very Good at Hiding. When a student gets a reputation for doing a lot of pranks, he needs to be good at making it look like it couldn’t have been him. Tiff is very good at hiding and avoiding detection when need be.

Balloon Animals. He makes a wide variety of balloon animals. Probably not the most useful skill for when evil strikes, but you never know.

Three flaws:

Immature – Can goof off a lot, be silly. Doesn’t take much seriously. Doesn’t get along with people who take everything seriously.

Restless – Gets bored easily. Hates going stretches without being able to joke around or do anything interesting.

Passive Aggressive – If he has a problem with someone, he won’t tell them directly. Confrontations are not funny or exciting, so he avoids them. He often just agrees with people when they say stuff or create a plan, even if he has no intention of following through.

Any backstory you wish to share:

His parents divorced when he was young. He is resentful that his Dad left him, but he doesn’t want to talk about it or admit that it bothers him as that would be focusing on negativity and he hates negative people. This unaddressed resentment is a contributing factor to him goofing off a lot and getting into trouble. He also just loves trying different things to see what reaction it gets from people. His mother finds him very irritating, so she sent him to camp to get a much-needed break.

Counselor(s) history:

He’s friends with the edgy guy. He has a crush on the flirt. As a prank he took a water gun, filled it with paint and shot it at the preppy kid’s head. The preppy kid is so picky about his hair, so Tiff thought it was funny to mess it up. The preppy kid does not like him, Tiff does not know why since everyone else found the joke hysterical.

Tiff doesn’t know a lot of people at the camp, but he likes people who are exciting or find him funny. If someone does, he will spend time with them, if they don’t, he’ll avoid them.

Character Trope: The Flirt
Name: Ashton "Ash" West
Age: 17
Physical appearance and or Faceclaim:
olivia-holt-history-platinum.jpg

Three Useful Skills:
Agile -- Cheerleading and dance for years left Ash physically fit. She's kind of quick, and can easily dodge things (she's a master at dodgeball, by the way).

Charasmatic -- Being flirty has its benefits. Ash is great at charming people, and getting them to trust her. She's got a warm, gentle personality and is great at manipulating people with that great charm.

First Aid -- She took a class one time to learn about basic first aid. She knows how to wrap basic wounds, and how to prevent infection. And other stuff learned in basic first aid.

Three flaws:
Distrustful -- It's hard to gain her trust or know she'll have your back. Years of feeling like she was alone left her assuming the worst of everybody and hardly ever giving anyone a chance. Even in a situation where, say, it's life or death.

Alcoholism -- she drinks. A lot. And is usually drunk, or at the very least, tipsy. Especially in stressful situations, when she tends to lean on alcohol more than she usually does.

Naive -- Well, maybe not naive, but she is very easy to manipulate and to turn against people.

Any backstory you wish to share: Ash grew up in what, from the outside, looked like an amazing household. Her parents were rich, so she lived in a beautiful mansion with her older brother. Anything the kids asked for was granted, and Ash grew up learning how to play several different instruments alongside singing and dancing lessons.

However, it all came with a price. Her mother was hard on her, and it led to serious self-esteem issues that ended in Ash becoming anorexic. Even now, she struggles with anorexia, although she's not exactly keen on sharing that. And then when she turned thirteen, her mother left without a trace.

High school was just as hard. Despite being a popular cheerleader, Ash was often bullied by the team. She became a flirt after a couple heartbreaks, figuring that if she didn't let guys know how much she cared, they couldn't hurt her. Her life never really turned around or had an upbeat ending from there. She is glad to be at the camp, though. A stress free summer is obviously just what she needs.
Counselor(s) history: friends with the Stoner, and affectionately calls him Shaggy.

I'm having trouble coming up with skills and what not. Haha. But if anyone wants to like, elaborate on relationships, let me know.

Also, is there going to be a Discord or something to communication via?

Character Template
Character Trope: Stoner
Name: Kevin Barker
Age: 17

Physical appearance and or Faceclaim:
c901cf688a61db2c5cb5e9f7862ff0e5.jpg

Three Useful Skills:
Good Ear: Kevin is planning on being a music major, obviously, so it's no surprise that he has an impressive ear.
Surprisingly Smart: When he's not blazed out of his mind, which is rare, Kevin is a very smart dude and knows a lot about a wide range of topics.
High Roller: Kevin is also the best joint-roller you'll ever meet.

Three flaws:
Always Stoned: Kevin is never not stoned. If he isn't stoned, he's most likely in the process of getting stoned.
Dumbass: Despite being smart in the scholarly sense, Kevin does a lot of dumb shit. Like lighting his own farts on fire.
Lazy: This pothead never wants to do ANYTHING. Good luck getting him out of bed, or convincing him to get schoolwork done, or... anything, really.

Any backstory you wish to share: Kevin's had a pretty normal life. Early divorce and late parental re-marriage, so he's particularly maladjusted, but otherwise it's been relatively smooth sailing. He's not particularly wealthy, and his father seems to regard him as a disappointment. All of this sounds rough, but the important thing is that Kevin just doesn't give a shit about it. Authority, adulthood, all of it can screw itself.

Counselor(s) history: Unknown, for now

You can play two characters I suppose. I will give one more day for people to join and then post the official opener.
