Train to Be The Best

Oh how the hunger had set in. Riba had been pulling through 19 hours of struggles which had been spent exercising and without food and it was slowly taking its toil. She rubbed the exact same spot on her head as a alternative to hitting her head against a desk. She took in the crowded air, exhaling as it would all be worth it in due time. That's when the child came to the stage.

Riba had gained a slight smile, a warm feeling coming from seeing what she saw as a young child, almost made her feel relief until the next part. That....was her principal. That wasn't all, the training had only just begun. The girl felt a mixture of frustration and fatigue with a slight feeling of deception at the so called 'child.' The man even had a presentation set up, Riba cracking her knuckles as a slight devious grin came to her face. "The real challenge begins here."

Riba had a plan, one that she was brewing the moment the presentation had finished and they were sent out, even in her fatigued state was a spark of determination. 'I should stay by the rubble and use it as cover for both stealth and attacks, mannequins might be around there. If villains are in the area, I can't chance going into secluded places where I can be picked off.....I'm doing this on my own. The others will just way me down more then help and I can't risk having a liability while working." Riba nodded at her plan, while not full proof, it did seem good enough to at least survive and grab some people on the way. "I can't risk using my quirk too early on and using it at the beginning will be wasteful. I have to use it in short burst or not at all if I get the chance." Riba went into stretching so that even in her weak state, she could work through it.

Riba got into a running stance, getting prepared for the immediate jog out into the exam. She felt a sharp pain in her stomach which made her wince 'Don't think about it....If you don't think about it, it will go away.' Wishful thinking sure but it was worth a try. She tightened her grip on her as the alarm went off and she broke into a immediate sprint out. Her first objective was to go into the rubble to find any 'victims' that could be stuck underneath which could also give her camouflage from the villains.

Riba was snapped out of her trance by the sudden sound of someone falling. She realized that she was actually gripping her stomach by this point. She released her grip as her frustration turned to the man who was still on the floor. She massaged her temples at his stupidity at trying to hold everything at once. "Every heard of a cart? And what are you doing on the floor like that, it's unsanitary and just rude!" There was clear venom in how she talked, not a single hidden emotion in it all.

"What?!"
Riba snapped at the other girl before realizing her random outburst of anger. She cleared her throat and attempted to look professional. "Fine. As for school, yes I have but i'm not in the mood for conversation." She moved away from the milk, biting down harder on the already broken pen. The atmosphere had gotten a lot less relaxed now that Riba spoke up.

Breathe In... Breathe out... In.... Out....

For the past thirty minutes after waking up and doing her bathroom rituals, Junsou had been repeating this process while she sat cross-legged on the floor. Usually, she would do this only twice a week or sometimes, four times. However, after receiving the acceptance letter, she had been doing this almost every day. The thought of actually getting accepted and the thought of going through Peace Sign Academia's gates in just three days having to do greatly with her increase of meditation.

Junmi, her grandmother, had told her to do these meditations whenever she felt like she needed to and even if there wasn't any need, she still had to do it at least twice. She remembered her grandmother's words even now.

"Just because I'm letting you go to the city, doesn't mean your training is over. No matter how you think you're ready, no matter how you think you've done enough, you're never truly ready, you've never truly done enough. Everyone, not just you, are always learning more, training more because no one is truly done. Even me."

Those words really struck her. Just as much as the things Junmi said when she was younger. At the thought of her grandmother, Junsou stopped meditating and uncrossed her legs. That was enough meditating for one day. Stretching a bit, Junsou rose to her feet then stared at the mirror. Although her eyes were focused on her body length mirror, her mind was someplace else.

Even after two week, Junsou still couldn't believe she got accepted. She still wondered how in the world she succeeded. Still, she was glad she did even if it was just a once in a lifetime miracle. A smile graced her lips and her mind was brought back to reality. Once she actually looked at her own reflection, the first thing she noticed was the arching of her lips. She immediately pulled her lips into a straight line. Nodding silently, Junsou turned around and grabbed her golden sea bag. She then proceeded to walk out of her room and to the dining area.

While she walked down the stairs, she pulled out a transparent plastic from her sea bag that had about about ten mouth masks. At least, that's what it says on the plastic. She opened the seal and took one out but she didn't wear it immediately. Upon reaching the dining table, she could see food already laid out on the table though it was only for one. Her mother must've already left and so did her father. She didn't really feel sad since she already saw them when she woke up. Walking towards the seat, she pulled it out and sat down. She could see that it was Souta, her father's cooking. One of the only thing he can make is okonomiyaki which was something Junko, her mother, couldn't. It seemed that the things she couldn't make, her father could. She laugh a bit at that and immediately, red gas came out of her mouth. Joker's Breath.

"Oops." She squeaked before breathing in and out again. Junsou was capable of pulling the gas back into her but she saw there was no need. No one was around and she was immune. Besides, it'll disappear eventually. Walking through Joker's Breath, she sat down and started to eat.

After eating and washing up, Junsou laid down on the only couch in the living room. She didn't turn on the television. Her gaze was directed to the plain beige ceiling and her both of her hands were behind her head. Her legs however, were in a weird position. They were raised but in a lotus position. If one were to ask if it was comfortable, she'd say,

"It is, after the third time."

Once Junsou stopped, as she says, resting, she finally switched on the telly. At first, she watched a documentary of how cars were invented before switching to anime. It was something about a class having to murder each other to escape without getting caught. She couldn't take it seriously at first because there was a two-toned teddy bear but when someone actually died, she started paying attention until the very end. Interested, Junsou recorded the whole series but then she realized she couldn't actually watch it since she'd be gone in three days.

Shrugging, she thought positive. She could always tell her parents not to delete the anime until she gets back. Yeah, she'd do that. She switched off the television and stood up, stretching as she did. Junsou looked at the window behind her. It had been a few months now since she went out walking around. It was something she did occasionally. She would go out and start walking aimlessly. Sure she'd usually get lost but it was nice anyway. Nodding to herself, she pulled up the mouth mask that had been down at her chin to her mouth. She grabbed the sea bag and went outside.

When she was out, she locked the door and pocketed the key in her hoodie's pocket. She turned on her heel and started walking. Looking up, she could see Akashi's house. Junsou was aware he also went to the same test she went but she didn't know whether he got accepted or not. She hadn't gotten the chance to ask him or meet him for that matter. It seemed like he was gone when she was here and vice versa. Akashi was her closest friend but she was aware it wasn't the other way around. She was starting to feel something and that wasn't good. She breathed in and out as she ran past his house towards the busy streets. There were a lot of people but she was able to swiftly avoid running into other people. However, she did bump into a few people at times. Of course, she apologized but most of the time the person she bumped into already walked away.

After she got to the shopping districts, she slowed down. She didn't have any money on her but she never planned on buying anything anyway. Junsou put both of her hands into her hoodie's pockets before walking aimlessly.

In An Unrecognizable Street

Holding back the urge to open her mouth and yawn, Junsou continued walking aimlessly but now she was walking with her hands behind her head. She could see that she was in the less crowded and less recognizable part of the city. That was a sign she should find her way back now. She turned around and started retracing her steps, literally. However, she stopped in her tracks when she heard something from the alleyway near her. You'd think by how frequently she got herself into trouble, she'd know when to not enter a dark alleyway but no, Junsou still has a lot to learn. Following her curiosity, Junsou looked inside the alleyway just in time to see a girl punch a guy.

This made her aware that she needed to go but something made her stop. That something was the fact that the guy getting punched just.... walked away. Was it because the person was a girl? That might be the case or maybe he was a fault? It looks like Junsou might never know but if it was the latter then maybe the girl had a right to--

Junsou's thoughts were caught off when her eyes met the girl's. At that moment she realized, she recognized who it was. This girl was Itami Shiri, the same girl who she teamed up with during the test.

Two Weeks, Four Days Ago
4:30 P.M.
Auditorium

Junsou still had problems processing what just happened. Her hunger and exhaustion having to do with that. She decided to list things the things that happened in her mind. Okay, first off, everything that has happened was to exhaust us for the actual test. Second, the boy... um, man....uh... guy on the stage is our principal. Third, in the actual test we need to save victims without them dying or us dying. Fourth, we also need to avoid traps or anything like that especially villains. Fifth, if we do encounter one, either try to escape or fight back and once they're defeated, though I doubt that, tie them to actually get a point. Sixth, healing another participant leads to points though it's not like my Quirk can do that. Seventh, I'm likely going to fail. Yeah, that's about right.

Junsou was pulled out of her thoughts when she was ushered outside. Shaking her head, she realized pessimism wasn't going to grant her success. Even if there's a slight chance she could make it, she'd try her until she can't anymore. With that, her spirits were lifted. That being said, the gnawing in her stomach wasn't affected by her own reassurance. It got to the point where grey gas, Mannequin Effect, started leaking out. She gasped when she saw this and more grey gas came out. She closed her mouth and breathed in and out. She attempted to suck the gas back in but before she could, a light breeze made the gas go to the [Also] white haired girl near her.

Shindou Yuri
Yuri Residence- 8:00 A.M.

A small cloud of steam obstructed Shindou's vision as he reached into the rice cooker, carefully packing the white grains into a small mound within the porcelain bowl. Gently setting the dish onto the tray with the rest of the food he had prepared, Shindou looked to the clock that hung from the kitchen wall. Normally, he would've been preparing for the new day hours ago, yet his aching bones demanded that he stay tucked in bed for a while longer than usual. It may have been two weeks ago, but the redhead was still in the process of recovering from the exam held at Peace Sign Academia, a slight soreness contributing to his exhaustion. Just thinking back to that day was taking a toll on him. He knew that he'd be facing a lot of difficulty when he applied for the school, but those tests made him even more certain that he would have several hurdles to overcome in the near future. Shindou was aware of his own weakness, but watching other students compete for the same goal gave him a much better idea of how far behind he was. He needed to keep improving if he ever wanted to accomplish the far-off goal that he had set for himself. Acceptance was only the first step.

With thoughts of school crossing his mind, a somewhat troubled expression formed on Shindou's face, ruby eyes settling on the tray of food before him. In just three days, he would have to say goodbye to his home of fifteen years. While the distance wasn't great enough to prevent him from visiting, living away from home still made him feel a bit uneasy. The feeling didn't come from the fact that he'd be sharing the same space with a group of strangers. Instead, it was concern for the woman that slept behind the closed door in the nearby bedroom.

His mother was a hardworking individual, always doing her best to help others in need of care, yet she tended to neglect her own needs as a result. It was difficult not to worry about her, especially when they'd be separated for a long period of time. Would she eat properly? Would she get enough rest? Those questions stuck with him for a time, but he had to remind himself of why he was leaving in the first place.

Not wanting to disturb his mother's rest, Shindou placed the meal he had prepared in the refrigerator, taking a breath before walking towards the front entrance. The semester was only three days away, but that didn't mean his own training had come to an end. Every day was dedicated to improving his abilities and making up for lost time, this one being no different. Today was focused on building cardio, something he was in desperate need of, if his screaming lungs at the exam were any indication.

Slipping on his shoes, a faint jingle was heard from beneath the black material of his tracksuit, the tapping of his foot causing the object around his neck to sway back and forth. Placing a hand over his chest, the boy nodded to himself, feeling the ring press against his palm through the clothing. Turning the handle and letting in the light from the outside world, Shindou quietly called out to the sleeping inhabitant with soft words. "I'm off."

The Streets- 12:20 P.M.

Skin warmed by the sun's bright rays, deep breaths escaped the haggard teen's mouth as he came to a stop, beads of sweat trickling down his forehead and landing on the concrete at his feet. Wiping away the moisture that hadn't been absorbed by the few bandages spread across his face, Shindou rested both hands on his knees before regaining composure, heart beating in sync with the music that filled his ears.

In order to avoid coming across anyone that he knew of during his training, Shindou usually travelled a fair distance away from home when an exercise called for it. While his primary motivation for doing so was to avoid any conflict, it also helped add to the otherwise ordinary regimen. It was nothing spectacular, but it had definitely produced results, helping him reach a level of fitness that could be considered average for someone his age.

While still in the middle of his rest, the music in his ears was suddenly interrupted by a notification from his phone. A bit of the exhaustion began to fade away as he read over the illuminated text. News of a conflict between a villain and Adamastor had already spread across the web, even #1 Shadow appearing to lend a hand. While reading, Shindou still felt the same enjoyment from when he would watch heroes on television as a child. Although, there was some disappointment mixed in as well, knowing that he had nearly missed the spectacle. While Adamastor's Quirk made him appear quite frightening, he was still a fan of the hero's work, taking note of how others could mistake him as a villain. The way that #1 Shadow had gone about rescuing the hostage seemed a bit dangerous, but it was good to hear that the girl came out of the situation unscathed.

As he continued to read about the recent event, Shindou soon took notice of the flashing numbers at the top of his display. It was already past noon, a bit of time lost while he had been immersed in the story. He still needed to finish packing the rest of his belongings and preparing for his transfer to PSA. With the time it would take to run back home, heading back now might have been best.

Stretching one arm across the other, Shindou approached the pedestrian crossing sign, waiting for the signal above to switch from green to red. There were only three more days of this. Afterwards, he'd likely be subjected to more intense training methods.

Two halves of Shiri were in conflict. One telling him to hunt down the test's villains, and another telling him to take it easy and look for those dolls they were calling civilians. The time since his last test had been enough for his body to recover, but there was no denying the fact that he was tired. There was no guarantee he'd be able to find fuel for his Quirk out there either. Not to mention how hungry he was. He'd finally almost his entire stomach up on alcohol before coming here, so he was running on even thinner fumes than the rest of the crowd.

His Quirk had sustained his body just fine, but his stomach wasn't getting the memo.

He sighed. A deep breath in, a deep breath out. But rather than resigning himself to turning his pace down or playing rescuer, he suddenly grew alert. It took a moment, but he could feel something. A small jolt of vigor running through his body. Quickly he breathed in again, it was fainter this time but it was definitely still there. Was the air just that bad in here? Was someone so scared that they lost control of their bowels? He wasn't desperate enough to go that for energy, that was for sure. No, his eyes spotted faint grey wisps of gasp lingering in the air. That was probably it. Their source, as far as he could tell, was a white haired girl doing her best to box the vapors in. He supposed she was still getting the hang of it. Not everyone had as good a handle on their Quirk as he did, evidently!

"Hey!" He didn't waste a moment. A Quirk like this could improve his score by a million, he'd be able to face off properly with the villains and put as much of his strength into digging up civilians as he wanted. This was definitely something like the universe taking his side. "Er, Gas-chan. You wanna team up? That Quirk of yours, is it poison gas or something? An ability like that'll be useful for this!" First wiping it on the hem of his skirt Shiri extended his hand in greeting to the girl, a grin, large and confident adorning his face. "Shiri Itami. What can I call you, Gas-chan?"

Hachiman Kageyama
Location & Time, Hachiman's Home, Morning 8:17 AM

"...Alrighty then, this'll do. It's time to cook." Inside a kitchen was where a young man stood in for the time being, playing around on his phone as to which album he should pick as background music this time around and finally deciding on one. It was essentially his morning routine, doing all of this. Putting in his ear pieces as he began to play the calming music for himself, and began to start cooking. The boy wore a pink undershirt, and a pair of striped shorts as he did as well as an apron. With hair all messy, a pair of red spectacles on his face and a black furry tail that was protruding from the back of his shorts, making it quite obvious that he still hadn't taken a shower.

The young man cooked with finesse and a glint of passion in his eyes, this cooking thing was one that he loved to do. This young boy being Hachiman Kageyama, a person that is to become a student at one of the newest, if not the newest educational institutions for young heroes or 'Hero Academias' for a shorter version. Peace Sign Academia was it's name, and he was looking forward to how things would be there at school. That is, when it is to actually open in 3 more days. Becoming a hero was always something that he wanted to do, ever since a child and hearing about how cool they were. As with any other kid who heard about them probably.

A fragrance could be smelled in the air as he cooked breakfast for his family, who were probably still asleep. Right now, Hachiman would be the great and reliable big brother and son he is. He cooked with all of his heart, pouring his soul into each of the food dishes he's cooking as he usually did. Rice was always on the menu, or almost always. And today, he was cooking up omelettes and chicken stir fry as well as some vegetables. Omurice was the main dish they would have, a personal favourite of his younger siblings. There were also the drinks, which was coffee for him and his mother, and the siblings would have something else.

At the time of 8:58 AM was when he was finally done with his cooking, it was time that his family would start stirring up from their slumber. He'd started to finish with placing the different plates onto their dining table, and could hear the sounds of doors opening and footsteps approaching. He put away his apron, and made his way to where his family was. "Good morning, sleepyheads. I cooked us breakfast, omurice, stir-fried chicken and some salad. So eat up and enjoy," he said as his family came into sight. "Morning, nii-chan," was what he got from his younger siblings, who all still looked like they were half-asleep. "Good morning, Hachi-kun," his mother said to him, looking as sleepy as the younger siblings. Now, they were all sitting around the dining table and ate.

Around 9:39 AM, Hachiman is now washing dishes and could hear the chatter of his younger siblings as they talked about various topics. The TV was on, and he only assumed that it was his mother watching it now. Their house was one that was somewhat bigger than normal, as with the large amount of family members living here it would be needed but it was just enough for them. And with their father no longer being around, their mother had to work twice as hard to provide for them. So when she was gone from home working, Hachiman was the one who would take care of his four younger siblings alone. But he was content with it.

After finishing up washing the dishes and such, the boy took a quick shower then wearing his usual tracksuit attire before going ahead and doing what he does every time he has nothing to do, that being play games or listen to some soothing music. In this case, he was going with playing video games and will most likely just be doing that for the entirety of the afternoon unless something came up. Though after 2 straight hours of just playing one of his games, he heard his mother call for his name. Garnering his attention and making him save and quit, before he walked over to where his mother was.

"Hachi-kun, could you please go buy the groceries? We're running low on a bit of food right now," his mother said when she spotted him. "Sure thing. What should I get specifically though? " was his response as he adjusted his glasses. "The vegetables, please. Oh and here's the money," his mother said before handing him some cash to buy them with. "I'll be going then," Hachiman said as he was now putting on a random pair of flip flops he had laying around. Walking past the door leading out, he took a glance at his phone to check the time. '11:41 AM' It read, then he put it back into his pocket.

His arrival to the grocery shop took place shortly after, as he didn't live that far away from it. He got himself a cart, and then proceeded to put on a pair of ear pieces and listen to something whilst he shopped for groceries. Getting the usual things, but with a bit more of those vegetables than usual. He guessed the reason they were out for most was his usage of them earlier for this morning's breakfast. The salad did contain a hell of a lot of it, now that he remembered correctly. Now that he'd gotten all of the needed groceries, he bought them with the money and took off. On the way back home, he took another glance at his phone's clock, reading the '12:19 PM' on the screen, before continuing on his way. All of this food in the bag made him think about something though, and that being the question of who would be taking care of his younger siblings when he was away and while his mother was gone working? He'd be going in 3 days, and with how many years he's taken of them, he just couldn't help but worry. He was going away to PSA in a few days, and was reminded of the entrance exam 2 weeks prior. It still amazed him how he pulled off passing it, really.

Flashback Location & Time, Auditorium, 2 Weeks & 4 Days Ago

Processing what had just been told had been a hard time for Hachiman. He felt exhausted and hungry right now, just as every other person who'd decided to participate probably is. The fact that all of that exhausting shit he had to do before this had only been so that it'd make us feel exhausted for the actual test. And it wasn't just any test either, it was to be the real practical test they're doing. So the chances of them becoming even more exhausted as well as hungry was to be very high indeed. And to make this even harder on him and the other students, they had to make it so much harder. And that is to have our victims to not die on us or us die as he rescued them.

This was all just so very great, and with hearing all of that, this practical is going to be very hard. With all of the managing of things while on the field it seemed, like taking care of your own health whilst also taking a look at the victim's to ensure you aren't hurting them in away while you were rescuing them and being cautious about all of the traps and villains that this practical exam had to offer. But then again, this school was one that made heroes after all. The practical test probably should be sounding very hard to do. But all this just felt a bit too overwhelming, but he guessed if they were going to be the new generation of heroes, they needed to learn how the professionals do this.

Flashback Location & Time, Exam Site, 2 Weeks & 4 Days Ago

At the start of the practical examination, he could see many of the participants going already. And he was among them, looking around as he booked it to take a look at all of the surroundings in hope to find anything of use here and to formulate a plan. All of this debris could probably come in handy, but there was the problem of weight and he figured that it was probably mostly just going to be too heavy for him to lift. The only ones he could use are the smaller bits and pieces scattered around to throw at things if it required it, like if a villain came and attacked him while he was rescuing a mannequin. Currently, his plans just consist of look for things he can lift, grab then throw or shoot his energy at if villains came or just find someone to partner with.

Unfortunately, as much as he wanted to do the latter, how was he supposed to find any person that would help him with this? There were many others, and most are probably going solo. So, the most viable of the two were him going solo and throwing shit when it came to it. And he didn't like it at all but he went with it anyways, but if there was a sliver of hope where someone would partner up with it, he would immediately take. But right now, Hachiman had to focus on rescuing those victims as his first objective.

The cold, hard floor accompanied Tarou for a moment and because of how comfy the parquetry was, he decided that laying there for a second or two more wouldn’t hurt. Doing that was apparently a mistake, because it was met with incredible verbal lashing from the girl above him. Tarou started jittering at the sound of her sharp voice and the look of her piercing eyes. He smiled nervously.

“So a bad day indeed… “ The boy said and finally started picking himself up from the floor. When he was finally standing straight, the first thing he did after dusting himself down, was a bow.

“I am extremely sorry about my behavior. I’m sorry if I caused you any inconveniences or offended you in any way.” After his apology, he finally straightened up and looked her in the face. “And yes, I did hear of shopping carts, but I just needed to get bread and…” He stopped and realized how disinterested the girl in front of him is. “It’s a long story.” He finally added with a sigh and his gaze turned to a blonde girl that was looking at his with a puzzled expression. “Yes, apparently I did fall, but I’m okay.” As a prove he knocked on his bald head a few times, before putting his hands back in his hoodie’s pockets. “But thank you for asking.” He added with a smile and started picking up all the things that scattered throughout the floor as a result of his fall. When he picked up the bread, as weird as it may sound, he instantly thought of how similar the load feels to the mannequins used in the practical exam. At that thought he instantly turned to the girls behind him. They did seem a bit familiar, so he walked up to them again. He gulped, at the though of having to deal with the black haired one though.

"I’m sorry if I’m mistaken, but I think that I saw both of you during the PSA test, am I right?" While asking that, Tarou’s thoughts naturally traveled to the day of the exam. And what a day it was. When was that? Like, 2 weeks ago?

The constant growling of Tarou’s stomach had a severe impact on his listening skills, so he didn’t really make out much of the principal speech. He just knew one thing; the sooner it ends, the sooner he can grab something to eat. Okay, so I’ll just use my quirk on my legs and bolt to the first pile of rubble I can find. Then I can kinda empower my arms, by taking some muscles from my legs, but not by much, because I need to stand during that. Hope it’s enough to move the debris. After finding a mannequin, bolt back, then repeat the process. If a villain shows up… I’ll just think about it when the time comes. After he had his simple plan ready, he jumped a few times to relax the muscles. I’m so hungry. He thought and just after that he heard the sound of the alarm, which caught him by a surprise. Some people already bolted forward, and Tarou didn’t want to be left behind. Taking all of his upper body muscles, he moved them to his legs. His baggy pants were almost tearing apart from the sheer size of them. Then, with a swift move, he dashed through several meters, leaving the majority behind. With his eyes set on the nearest pile, he continued running until finally reaching his destination. Okay, now we need to move some stones.

Running was easy and sprinting was hard as Kuma's stamina began to drain heavily as he begun to slow himself down, he did a couple more steps as he turned his sprinting right into walking. His shoes were pretty beaten up as he felt them come apart, he grimaced slighty as they were supposed to last through even the toughest of work outs but they couldn't handle Kuma in the slightest as they had been literally run right into the ground. Feeling his stamina begin to return to him, Kuma then begun to walk faster and faster as he feel more of his energy return to him in which caused him to launch from the spot he was walking and further down the path.

Kuma traveled pretty faster for a guy his size as he passed many people who were walking down the path while dodge those who didn't know he was there, sprinting pass the bench where Lex Kagame sat and where the dogs that had gathered around him which caused them to bark at the fast moving boy. Kuma hadn't really felt that he had used everything in the tank and decide to push himself, he then ran as fast as he possible could which in turn cause his legs to "burn." Managing to run around the entire path in which lead him to stopping right behind Sei & Hilburt as heavy breath came from while he thought about one thing, the Test that happened two weeks ago.

Peering down as Kuma looked at the small figure who was the principle of the school (Little to anyone besides staff's knowledge) walked right onto the the stage as whispers filled the large auditorium in which he dropped a bomb that what they had been doing wasn't the actually test but a practical one, laughing at the new information as most of the room said "EHHHHHHH!"

Cracking his neck as he knew what was going on, Kuma might not have the smartest but he wasn't stupid. It was strange that they weren't graded in anything that they did before. He looked at the other students who were surprised by everything in which he rubbed his forehead in a little disappointed, looks like it was gonna get fun soon as a smile appeared onto his face.

As he looked around at the area that the students were gonna use to do the test in, it was rather big and it allowed him to fight without restraint. The task was to rescue make-shift hostages/civilians but also fighting some of the teachers who were suppose to "Villians." Stretching out his legs and arms as he slowly began to activate his quirk, loud cracks came from when he stretched certain parts. Kuma then looked at the rest of group which he heard that everyone or most of them were gonna go after the hostage but Kuma decided one thing......he was going after the teachers so he could test himself, he got into a position ready to run so he could find something to fight. Blasting forward as he managed to get ahead of people who didn't have a speed quirk or one that enhance movement but he was still able to match most of their speed, grinning like a battle-crazed loon as he let out a roaring laugh which would draw attention to himself but also the rest of group but he couldn't give a damn about them except the few that he knew where gonna take care of themselves or he saw as potentially comrades.

"What´s your name, little guy?" My smile only got brighter as the dog barked and wagged it´s tail in excitment. It was so cute, staring with those tiny happy eyes of his (or hers)! I got a little closer, sniffing near his (or her) little bitty wet nose with my eyes closing, but it got away. I stopped and opened my eyes again, turning to the girl to whom I had spoken not long ago. Her words had little effect but to make me tilt my head in confusion, why was she so upset about me playing with my new friend? The dog seemed to like it. Besides, what did "frolicking" even mean? Frocky? Froppy? Froggy? Frog? No, that couldn´t be it, there were no frogs around... Or maybe there were, we were next to the park after all, did the park have any lakes? But that didn´t make any sense, why would she be talking about the lakes in the park all of the sudden? I looked around and sniffed, there were no frogs in sight or smell, there wasn´t even anything that reassembled a frog around, so she couldn´t be talking about frogs. I had to think harder!

Frolicking, frolicking, brolicking, brocoli? Did she say brocoli? Did she think I was eating brocoli? Ah, that explained it. I guess dogs wouldn´t like brocolli, would they? I mean, I didn´t like it, and mom said it was because of my daddy´s dog parts. I shook my head calmly, without being able to contain a short giggle, then I lifted my KFC cupand inclined it slightly to show her it´s contents.

"No, no, it´s chicken. I wouldn´t eat those things, I like veggies. Especially the green ones. They look like a pile of boogers or leaves. I don´t wanna eat boogers or leaves. They gimme a tummy ache, you know? Tummy aches are really awful this one time, I ended up rolling on my bed all day and- "

Suddenly, it hit me. Yeah, of course, how did it slip my mind? Anyone would be upset over something like THAT! Heck, I bet I´d be growling if it happened to me. I got up and approached the girl, reached into my cup of delicious KFC and pulled out some more chicken. I smiled widely at the girl.

"Say "aaaah"!" I stated, as I tried to shove some into her mouth. Of course, she´d be upset, it was almost lunch time. She was probably a really kind girl who was so hungry she wasn´t thinking right, but she still took out her dog for a while. There were some nice people out there indeed. I took a couple for myself, then realized maybe I was forgetting something. I crotched down to my knees facing the dog again, and reached out a piece of chicken to the tiny furball. With my hand reaching out like that, I waited, my own tail still waggling. "Do you want some too? I got plenty, my mom gave me an extra on this week´s allowance as a reward for having passed the PSA entrance exam."

Sei Ichiyama and Hilbert Allegretti

Location: Park

Time: 12:10 P.M
The two had done some runs for quire a while. Running for at least 30 minutes was nothing compared to what they were made to do before the exam. Sei had sworn that his insides were going to burst while Hilbert would just communicate in heavy gasps for air. Now they were trying to mimic those exercises as the perfect exercise regime before attending the school.

"I still can't believe they did that... I knew it was too good to be true. No grades,' Sei commented as he still shakes his head thinking about it.

"I definitely know what you mean. I mean dang son... heroes do have to perform whenever they are needed so it does feel necessary. Villain attacks can happen any time so we need to be ready."

It wasn't until they had heard heavy breathing that they decided to stop. The two looked behind to see a familiar figure. They thought back to the draft they felt before and made the connection.

"Oh hey you're that guy from before! You must've gone on quite a workout. What's your name? Mine's Hilbert."

"Name's Sei. Pleasure meeting you."

As the two got a closer look at the figure, they would be curious as to his appearance. Hilbert began thinking about whether or not the guy had a mutant quirk while Sei tried to find a way to make less awkward conversation.

Their thoughts:

'Wow he looks eccentric. I wonder if his quirk is muscle augmentation? Though not sure if that fully explains the look... Hmm...'

'I shouldn't be rude so I might just start with simple conversation. Maybe a 'How's it going' type. Too straightforward? I am not good with this sort of thing..'

As they both thought about it, Hilbert would wonder if this guy was training to be a pro hero as well. Had he seen him during the exam? He thinks back to that moment.

Both Sei and Hilbert would devise a strategy as they headed out to look for any mannequins while watching their backs for potential villain attacks. This was not going to be easy and they knew it. Still this was a scenario that would happen eventually. They had to make do with what they could do and accomplish the task at hand.

"Hmm... Hilbert-san we should consider the state of the rubble. I've read particular scenes in books where people within rubble have distinguihable patterns and stuff. I still can't believe we have to do this after that intense exercise regime..." Sei would be surveying the area as they would begin to increase their pace.

"Yeah but we don't much of a choice. Also great idea Sei-kun. Our quirks should work well in this situation... at least I think. You can slow down surrounding rubble so at least if something starts caving in then it'll be in slow motion. I'll try and make some glob right now and use it as cover."

"Rubble is inanimate object though. I can't slow that down."

"Oh right... crap."

There was an air of awkwardness around them.Afterwards the two would nod as they hurried on forward.

They didn't know what to think. Those rigorous exercises weren't part of the exam? As well as perform while extremely exhausted? Though they weren't really graded on anything so there was some sense. In any case the two had to proceed as planned. Being in a simulation brought some nerves to the two despite it still being a simulation. An exam was an exam after all plus they will have to be dealing with potential "villains" who are lurking about. They had to steel thenselves for just about anything.

As the two would run looking, Hilbert would start creating some glob to use for the rescue effort. Sei, whose quirk would have no current use, kept watch to make sure they didn't get ambushed.

"Hilbert-san what do we do if "villains" ambush us? My quirk takes time befire it really has an effect on people. Plus I have touch then for it to work."

"Hmm... that is a problem. I'm making some glob but this much won't be enough if it's a frontal assault of at least 3 people. We don't even know if they'll use quirks. Plus... we're both way to exhauas
ted to even think of fighting. For now we'll have to focus on rescue. Anything else will be defensive maneuvers."

All Sei could do was nod in worry. He rarely tried to show negative emotion but it was hard to hide it when they were being tested like this. This was going to be quite difficult. The two could only lightly run for a few moments. Time was ticking and it was hero time... while being exhausted to their limits.

This was bad. Junsou could see the white haired girl inhaling Mannequin Effect. She prayed that she had a Quirk that makes her immune to Mannequin Effect. Of course, there isn't a lot but she'll still get momentarily paralyzed and that wasn't nice or good since the test is already starting. However, Junsou saw no change in the girl. She tried to inspect further but before she could, the girl called her which caused her to jolt a bit. At least, she assumed the twin tailed girl was calling her since she was in front of her now.

"Er, Gas-chan. You wanna team up? That Quirk of yours, is it poison gas or something? An ability like that'll be useful for this!"

At first, Junsou felt a bit sour that the girl was calling her using a honorific she didn't like. However, she knew the girl had no idea of her preferences so it wasn't right to get peeved at that. She was still trying to understand how the girl didn't seem to be affected. It was clear the girl didn't know what kind of gas she breathed saw but if she didn't, how could she have come up with the conclusion that her gas was poisonous. She decided not to ponder since there was a lot of Quirks out there and the possibilities were endless.

"Shiri Itami. What can I call you, Gas-chan?"

The girl, Shiri Itami, introduced herself while extending her hand. Although she was still uncomfortable with what Shiri called her, she ignored the feeling and accepted Shiri's hand. She focused on not feeling as she suppressed the bubbling joy inside of her. It seemed like she wanted to team up judging from what she said and honestly, Junsou couldn't feel more flattered. Never in her life has anyone wanted her to help in anything regarding the use of her gas. A soft blush made her way to her face, almost unnoticeable unless you really looked.

It felt nice.

"Nice to meet you, Itami-san. My name is Atsushi Junsou. You can call me whatever though I'd prefer you not use 'chan'. Also, I'm sorry you had to breathe my gas. At least, I think you did." Junsou said almost sheepishly with a small unseeable smile.

"Umm... My Quirk allows me to breathe out various gases depending on my... emotion... That was paralyzing gas. I can breathe out flammable gas, laughing gas and even tear gas." The way Junsou said it was almost robotic due to the fact she was trying not to let her fatigue or her joy get past seventy-five percent.

"If.... If you plan on using my Quirk... I'd like to hear it. I don't think my Quirk will be all that useful so I doubt it'd be a good idea to team up with me. I-I mean, if that's what you're planning...." By now, Junsou had already let go of Shiri's hand and was now waving them in front of her face in a frantic manner before realizing her mistake. She immediately lowered her hands and breathed in and out. It was a nice thought to team up with someone but Junsou was aware she'd be more of a dead weight. She wasn't all that strong and especially so since she was tired. Junsou was sure if she teamed up with anybody, she was the one who was going to get the advantage.

SHIMIZU, LIÁN

12:18 P.M.

More or less, Lián was quite shocked at the preposterous behavior if the girl in front of her. The whole situation felt unbelievable to the small girl. Now, the dog-girl was spouting nonsense about her experience with vegetables. What the hell was going on? Frankly, Lián was a little worried that she had managed to stumble into such a position, trying to protect Junjie's dog from another dog. She opens her mouth to say something, to yell at the stranger or to just scream, yet nothing had come out but mumbles.

The dog-girl had stuffed a piece of K.F.C. chicken into her mouth.

Into Lián's mouth.

Straight away, she spits out the detesting food, wiping her mouth with her sleeve, sputtering out any other crumb that had stuck to her tongue. Fushi jumps at the opportunity for free meat, promptly slobbering all over the chicken that Lián had spewed out. She knows that she should probably take it from the hound, the inevitable upset stomach could have been avoided for him. However, with the circumstance at hand, all she wanted to do was take care of this nonsensical freak. The fact that this meddler got accepted into P.S.A., the very same school that Lián was going to, was just impossible. There was no way that this dumbass was going to the same school as Lián. "No, I don't want any of your chicken, you loser! I just want you to get the fuck away from me and my dog."

~Starting Location & Time~
Roughly 23 feet from the construction site 12:15 PM

Ayako glanced back at the construction site, not surprised to find a few reporters lingering close by. It was almost pitiful seeing how desperate they were for what little information the police and witnesses gave; they weren't unlike hyenas squabbling over an old carcass. If it wasn't so depressing, it'd be quite amusing. Oh, well. They'd be fine so long as crime existed, which showed no signs of stopping soon.

Aya returned her gaze in front of her, pausing a brief moment to pull her long, dyed black locks into a high ponytail with a red hair tie she kept on her wrist. For the sake of convenience, she usually kept a few hair ties on her person when she was out in public. She detested her appearance when her hair was pulled up, but her hair was so much easier to control when it wasn't free to get in her eyes or bounce on her shoulders. Especially when she was running or when the wind was blowing. Gods, she hated when the wind was blowing her hair into her face, it was anything but a pleasant experience.

With a soft sigh, Ayako ran her fingers through her inky locks, letting her thoughts drift to the PSA. Now that she'd gotten into the school, she was nervous. If the entrance exam was anything to go by, she had the right to be scared of the academy. The teachers and founders alike had put her and her fellow classmates through what could only be described as pure, unadulterated hell. However, their training was justified. Pro heroes went through worse on an almost daily basis. The intensity of it all made her question if she was truly good enough to become a hero. After all, she was just barely able to pass the entrance exam. If not for the help of others, she would have easily failed.

~Flashback Location & Time~
2 weeks and four days ago at the Exam Site at 5:00 PM

"Holy shit..."
Ayako swore under her breath, eyes blown wide open at the realization that she actually had to compete against others in a task that seemed nearly impossible in her current state. Her whole body ached from all the rigorous exercises that she'd been through while fatigue weighed her down, making it quite hard to move. "I'm not cut out for this... I should just leave now." She thought to herself before shaking her head once to clear her thoughts. "No, I have to keep going, even if it kills me. That's the only way I can pay back everyone for their kindness and support."

Aya looked ahead at the mass of potential students rushing forward into the 'ruins' of a city that never was. If she was going to find a few mannequins, she'd have to use her quirk before those ahead of her had the chance to take them all for themselves. She hadn't used her wings today, so they'd be in decent enough shape to fly for at least an hour. Although they'd be useful for flight, they couldn't be used for much else when she was so tired. Any extra movement whilst in the air would sap her energy faster than doing anything on the ground would. Gravity was her own worst enemy.

The young girl took off her gray t-shirt and unraveled the white, stretchy fabric wrapped around her wings. She then opened her massive, black wings, a few feathers were chocolate brown, to reveal a black tank top that she wore under her other clothing just in case she needed to use her quirk. Aya broke into a ran before launching herself into the air with a practiced grace. Once in the air, she glided over the heads of a few students at a comfortable 25 MPH, sticking close to the ground in case they had a 'villain' that could fly or hit her in the air. It had been so long since she'd been able to fly that she'd forgotten how amazing the air brushing over her skin felt, and she'd missed the rush of adrenaline that only flight could bring. For now, her worries eased from her mind as she focused on heading deeper into the destroyed area.

Hopefully, she'd find someone to team up with once she landed for she knew that she couldn't do this alone. She was too weak to do much of anything on her own..

-Masaru Kurosawa-
Observation Room
16:49, two weeks and four days ago

One of the most basic human instincts is, next to breathing, acquiring and consuming food. Having to fast for a few hours may be the cause of bad moods, but with 19 hours It’s very possible that their cognitive functions are impaired, not to mention how tired they must be from all those written tests. In reality Masaru could more or less feel what the students are feeling right now, as he decided that if they won’t eat, he won’t do it either. The feeling of mental tiredness was also there, as he had to spend some time with Senzai, listening to her never-ending blabbing.

All in all, Chameleon was fairly impressed by the Shikikan’s plan, except for the last part, which seemed a bit too easy for his standards. He knew it was supposed to be designed in a way to compliment the variety of the students, but it was a bit too lenient for Masaru.

The principal walked into the observation room wearing a slight smile. "We got an earnest bunch this year. Or maybe just a very ambitious group." The principal stated. "Practically none left even though we starved and exhausted them."

Masaru stood up from his chair and walked in closer to the windows. He took out a cigarette and lit it with his lighter. The smoke filled his lungs as he closed his eyes. Ambitions are good, but sometimes they’re not enough, let's hope they can pull through. He thought to himself. After a long and deep inhale, he turned to the rest of the teachers, who were talking about the “villains” of this task.

“You want my opinion of them?” He said when they paused for a second. Probably everyone in the room could smell the smoke. “Slippery isn’t a problem. If they aren't morons, Electric is useless. Joan only looks intimidating and so does Bombardment.” He paused for a moment. “The only real danger is Sentimental.” He moved the cig closer to his mouth, but stopped. “If not for the exhaustion, it’d be a fairly easy task. We can at least be sure that those who pass aren’t complete idiots, so it works in terms of eliminating out the weak and unintelligent.” After that, he moved closer to the seats and on his way back he gave Subliminal’s suit a slight pat. “Let’s enjoy the show, shall we?” He said and finally took a seat.

I found myself giggling again as the puppy took the food from my hands, sweeping it away in one go, then happilly licking my hand for the additional crumbles. I reached out a hand to pet it a little, they loved petting. Some people were a bit weird, though, and seems like they didn´t like getting pats on the head, but I really loved it. It gave me really warm feeling inside. It was especially nice when they praised me at the same time, like "good job!", "you were great there!", "good girl"... Awww, just thinking about it made me want to get some petting too, so I turned to the girl with the leash, just in time to see her spit out the chicken I gave her....

    WHY?!!!!!!!

I forgot about the petting, and just leaped towards the crumbs falling down, with an overwhelming sense of defeat as I just sat there on my knees, grieving the total waste of some delicious chicken. How could she be so cruel? And wasn´t she hungry? Did she not like chicken or something? What kind of monster didn´t like chicken? They were so yummy! Was she a cow or something? I glared at her breasts with a look of spite, then quickly faced the crumbles on the ground. No, she couldn´t be a cow. Even mine were bigger than her´s.

With a sigh, I let go of it. It was saddening, but fact was that the girl had spat out my hard-earned chicken. I turned around back to the dog, slightly worried the pet would follow in his (or her) owner´s footsteps, but the dog was still wiggling their tail, I´d even say rather than spitting it out, the doggy wanted MORE chicken. Good thing at least one of them was a sensible one. I reached out to pet him again, but I was halted by the girl´s sudden shout. I froze in place, unable to process her words for a few moments. Loser? Me?

"I´m a l-loser?" I inquired, slowly turning my head upwards towards her, streams of tears already boggling my vision, and snot filling in my nose, making it harder to tell smells apart. I pulled some snot up, whimping inside, I slowly got up. Who´d thought I could feel two so different senses of defeat and rejection in such a short period of time? I quickly turned to the girl again, pratically jumping on her. "I´m I really a looser? I don´t wanna be a loser! Being a loser is a bad thing, I don´t like being a bad thing, I don´t wanna... But if I already am..."

My tail stopped any motion, my doggy ears dropped to the side. I guess that explained why she didn´t want MY chicken. She wasn´t weird, she just didn´t want to take chicken from a looser like me. Maybe there was something I could help with, though? Something that would make not a looser anymore. Think, I had to think back to her words, was there anything she wanted I could give her?

"I just want you to get the fuck away from me and my dog!"

Oh, that´s right. She wanted me to go away. I guess it made sense, I was a loser after all. She was probably some big shot UA student, maybe she had this super amazing thing about her or whatever. Or maybe I was just THAT bad. I pulled myself away from the girl, giving a silent nod, and one last disappointed look at her dog, waving it goodbye before I turned around and made my slow way back toward the park. I wasn´t in the mood to play anymore, maybe I should just go home.

So, it had begun. The applicants were working hard to get as many victims as they could carry to bring back to the entrance and earn some points. A lot of them rushed it a bit too much, getting blown by traps. Others, careless, would try dragging vicitms, meaning they´d soon loose all their health, an utter waste. A few instead were overly careful, making sure to prepare makeshift racks or carrying an individual mannequin at a time in some complicated princess carrying pose. Some were being a bit more sensible though, bothering enough to form teams if they weren´t strong enough (according to the files) or even if they didn´t , being cautious not be caught unaware.
However, in the midst of this, the good targets were too far behind for an ambush, that is, until a particular applicant passed by in what seemed like clear blood lust. Slippery smirked, the student passed by him without noticing his presence.
"Let´s start slow. 70% slipperiness." He stated as his body felt a little tingly. It always iched a little, and tingled, to have things suddenly pass you by. Heck, Slippery himself took years before he could even stand after activating his quirk. He croctched down and then sprinted and leaped, aiming a swift drop-kick right at the back of the applicant. He was ambushing the kid, so he wasn´t stupid enough to yell out what he was doing, and given the reduction in friction, it was unlikely the student even could have heard anything. It wasn´t even a question of whether he could hit the student, but a matter of whether the student actually had a power that would let him remain standing after a powerful dropkick right to the head.

Never in his life has he ever been this exhausted nor hungry, and never once in his life would he think that he would be feeling like he does now in a situation like this. Then again, no person would ever even think about being in the situation he's experiencing as of currently. Though if there was something that he did know for a fact was that in this situation, he doesn't have the time to think of every little thing. He needed to be focusing right now. Focusing on finding out where all of these mannequins were hidden, and focusing on watching his surroundings as to not be ambushed by any of the villains.

Though right after those thoughts, it seemed that everything had just gotten a little bit harder. No, so much more fucking harder. Now it wasn't just the mannequins or villains he needed to be looking out. No, now there were traps that they all were needing to avoid in order to not have these damned belts they had reach a state that they would technically be dead. And as of now, there were a few of them he needed to avoid. The first one he spotted getting caught by one was some poor guy that got trapped in some rope and the second one looked like a sort of bomb with that pink smoke and people getting blown up high.

"Just fuckin' great. Now there's traps to look for? Alright, then. I can handle this, just need to foc- MOtherfUCKer!" His sentence being cut off just as he himself had been caught by one of these traps. Getting himself being blown into the air as pink smoke appeared beneath his body whilst he flew then dropped, getting engulfed by the same pink smoke as he did. A loud shout of a swear word came out. Hachiman hit the ground, and it didn't feel pleasant at all. Nothing about this felt pleasant. He was starving and exhausted when he's doing this, and these traps will only hinder him and the other people. "Damn," he muttered when he was now laying on the ground. He wasn't hurt that much, but he had a feeling that everything was a bit harder than before.

Checking his belt as he got up off of the ground, and seeing some of his health now gone. "Of course. This... you can do this. You got four devils and a mother waiting to hear from ya back home, you can do this," telling himself that he could do this. That this was nothing, and using the image of his family waiting to hear his results and being happy as a source of motivation. This was nothing, he told himself. Now that he got up, he continued his search for these mannequins. Now feeling slightly more motivated to pass this with flying colors. Now he needed to watch for those traps to not get caught in one again.

And just as he started to run again, he heard someone. Someone that seemed to be calling for his name, if it even was his name. He couldn't tell. He stopped in his tracks, now looking around for whoever did say it. And now that he was focusing more on that instead of the objective at hand, he recognized that nickname of his. Bullyman, and he only knows one person who would ever use that name of his. That being his dear friend, Akacha Yugoyiashi, who was also his first crush. After some time of looking around, he was met with the sight of her here.

From what he could assume, his only guess was that she wanted to team up with him. And low and behold, that was exactly what she wanted to do when she reached up to him. Originally, he wanted to ask if she was fine with how he was very, very sure that he heard her stomach growl. He couldn't turn an opportunity like this anyways, it was her that was asking. He couldn't turn her down even if he wanted to, her being his crush and all. Though he did wonder why she's even participating in this to become a hero. With her quirk and how it works, he'd thought she'd go for doctor or maybe even musician since he knows she can play the guitar. "You're here too, Yugo-chan? Oh and uh... sure. We can team up if you want to. We can work together on this," he said in response to her.

12:27 P.M.

Sure, Lián was an asshole to many; she had no real reason to be one, she just was. Nonetheless, Lián was no cold-hearted bitch. A cute dog-girl like Koinu had struck a chord in the steam-machine, the puppy eyes had quite the effect on herself. She sighs out loud, looking down at Fushi who had begun to whimper at the loss of his new friend. Perhaps, she did overreact a little bit, but who wouldn't when someone tries to force-feed them? "Uh, wait.." She calls out, reaching out to grab the back of the girl's shirt. She pulls a little, hoping to stop Koinu from leaving. Grabbing the other girl by the shoulders, she forces her to face herself.

"Listen, I'm not gonna apologize, but don't-" Lián looks into her eyes and sees the tears, cringing a little bit. While it felt a little thrilling to have made someone want to run off and cry, she couldn't help but feel bad for insulting such a kind and.. interesting soul. ".. don't cry, it doesn't look good on you. Really." She moves to wipe the tears and snot off of Koinu's face with her sweater, yet decides not to in fear of getting dirty. Pulling away, she offers Fushi's leash to the girl in front of her.

"You said you were, um.. Sakana-san, right? I wouldn't mind if you played with him for just a little bit. I'll give you 5 minutes." Hopefully, that would have made her happy.

Lex kept running for what seemed around a mile, exhaustion was starting to catch up to him. Why were the dogs chasing him in the first place? He pondered over that as he dove straight into a bush. He though about earlier how he was eating hotdogs when the dogs started chasing him, maybe they're hungry? He searched his pocket feeling for any type of food that he can throw how to the dogs, at last he found the bag of chips he had saved for later. The dogs were getting closer, it was now or never. He popped open the bag and threw it as far as he could towards the dogs.

They sniffed it, but didn't seem interested in it. Welp, guess they weren't hungry then. Then what made them chase him then? He heard a deep long laugh inside his head. Of course it's him. The 'voice' snickered, puny boy this'll teach you to mess with me. Apparently the voice had taken hold of him for a split second to release its rogue wolf-ish scent. He suppressed the 'voice' again before taking off in the direction of two girls , the dogs hot on his trail. He stopped abruptly in front of those two girls panting,"I'm sorry, but could you help me?"

Bones and Birds
~Flashback~
Location: Exam Site

Riba was running through the destroyed city, she felt her lungs pressing against her chest and the heat build up in her body. She realized how much she was pushing herself in the first few minutes and slowed her pace. 'Shit....Not a good way to start the exam.....I have to think of a new edge.'

That's when something literally flew over her head; Riba thought it was just her mind playing tricks from hunger until she saw the thing fly away right in front of her. It was a winger girl, gliding across the ground. '....That girl. She's using a flight quirk, doesn't need to waste energy walking. She's a soar thumb at this point but, a hard thing to catch when it gets going.' Riba thought about it, a brilliant idea finally coming to mind. It was nearly impossible on her own...on her own. 'Teams are allowed. I could use her to take the victims through the air, it will be hard for villains to catch her.' So Riba's plan was set into motion and she knew what she had to do.

Riba put two fingers in her mouth and let out a high pitch whistle to try to get the attention of the girl flying ahead of her. Her body broke back into a sprint in order to try and catch up with her. "HEY BIRD GIRL!" Her voice was tense and had a slight boom in it, it had to be in order to get the girl's attention. Riba kept doing her signals in order to get her attention.

"Why didn't you get a damn cart when you knew you were getting more shit!? And I don't care if you were in the PSA exam." The combination of breaking the pen and the mans idiocy had set her over the edge. She was breathing fire at this point, scolding out the man like she had nothing better to do. Riba realized she was making a scene and decided to finish up the 'friendly' chat.

"You know what, whatever. I think you get my point." Riba pinched the bridge of her nose, letting out a deep breath. She snatched a milk carton from the grocery fridge and looked at her list which was crumbled from her moment of outrage. She had forgotten the other girl who wanted her milk and was now trying to calm down from her outburst.

A little bit of snot drooled down my face, as I kept my face down. I couldn´t even raise my ears or my tail, and I was pratically blinded between the tears and the snot blocking my nostrils. Then I stumbled upon a loose stone from the park, and nearly dropped to the ground. I put a foot foward, somehow managed to stay upright. What was I doing, being all mopy? I was wasting my day! Sure, maybe I was... Nope, better not even think about that word, but in either case, I could get over this, I would just clean the snot and tears out of my face and...

Huh? Something was grabbing me. I turned around, my eyes widened in surprise (though to her it probably looked like I was still crying) and spoke. For moment, I hoped she was gonna be nice now, maybe we could both play with her puppy (whatever thier name was), and then we could go eat something together, maybe I could find out where she was going next year, but in the end she only made me wait to tell me she wasn´t gonna apologize and this:
"Don´t cry, it doesn´t look good on you. Really."

Wow, this girl was just determined to make my day miserable now, wasn´t she? In an instant, my restored confidence was shattered again. The ears and tail I had just barely managed to get up were now flacid and loose like paper that fell on water, and I could feel those salty oceans rising up to my eyes once more. Why did she have to be so mean? Her puppy wanted to play with me, so I went along, and now this was happening, and, and , and... Now I was a looser AND I was ugly! How was I ever gonna tell mom about this? She was gonna be heartbroken! And how could I be a hero if I was a looser and ugly, no one would want to be rescued by me! Hold on, though, didn´t that make a bit like Grave Digger though? I mean, Grave Digger wasn´t a looser, but ugly was very close to creepy, right? Wow! So I just had to become big and strong like grave digger and maybe even the girl who was now offering to let me play with the puppy now would...

"YAY!" I leaped on the girl for a hug, dropping the kfc cup. "I promise to be real good to him! It´s gonna be so fun. Thank you! I´m really glad to have a friend like you."

Before giving her a chance for much of a reaction, I took the leash she offered and smiled widely at her dog, the last remains of the tears now slowly dropping out of my eyes. Before I actually lowered myself to play with the fur ball, however, I turned to the girl once again, now a slightly gentler smile on my expression.

"Oh and hum... thanks for calling me ugly."

    I faced the puppy again.

"Okay little buddy, now... AAH!" I was shocked by the sudden appearance of the park of someone running towards me, to the point where I dropped the leash I had just been given. How did I miss this person? Usually I could tell when someone was approaching, my nose was very good at... the snot! Right, of course, how could I have forgotten... The newcomer seemed to be scared of something too though. "What´s wrong?"

My question was answered by the appearance of a whole pack of dogs, coming after something, or someone. How playful!

"You´re really popular, aren´t you? I guess you do look kinda nice, and there´s no fooling the scent." I praised the boy that had come running for help from two girls he didn´t know.

The dogs were not so friendly as I expected though, they were so noisy with all that barking and growling! I raised my shoulders, began walking up towards them to give them a friend hug, when the puppy of the girl I met not long ago put himself at the front first, barking back at the other dogs. What was happening? Was this a game of some kind? A squabble... but the way those other dogs bared their teeth, and begun running, NO!

I got on all fours on top of the puppy, bared my teeth as well, and barked with all the might my throat could muster. It echoed across the buildings ahead and the park itself, and it halted the advance of the stray dogs. I growled at them and they growled at me, seeming hesitant on whether to come after me. One tried. I took a deep breath, my body expanding like a balloon, and the spikes on my skin beggining to pop into exposure, then I let all that air out: A current of wind blew in front of me, pushing back the dogs and sending the closest one rolling back. It was the obvious and sensible choice to retreat, and that their pack did.

I allowed my body to rest, the spikes retracting back into me as I got up and turned to the girl and boy, smiling with a bit of nervousism.

Cause I was pretty sure those dog´s eyes were saying "we´ll get you sometime!".

Kuma proceed to bow as he acknowledge the Hero before where he got into a ready stance as he begun to run before lunging at the older male with his fist cocked back ready to slam it into the face of Slippery, the sudden lunge/change in speed could catch Slippery off guard which would enable Kuma to at least get a hit....or maybe his quirk wouldn't allow touch Slippery which could lead to him to launch himself a meter away from the Slippery-Quirk user into the ground.

SHIMIZU, LIÁN
xD0cUl0.jpg
12:29 P.M.

To say the least, this day was grating on her nerves. As much as she wanted to sprint home with Fushi in her arms, Lián had to wait this through. She doesn't expect the quick embrace, so she tries to struggle out of Koinu's hug, however she just lets her arms go limp, letting the dog-girl do whatever she pleased. 'Wouldn't want to make her upset again...' As soon as Koinu takes the leash, Lián takes the short moment she's been given to ponder on the other girl's words. This girl thinks she's her friend, even when she had insulted her, told her to go away, and failed to grant an apology? Wow, either this girl was really nice, or was as daft as Lián had thought she was when they had first met.

She makes an effort to stutter out a "you're welcome," looking away from her as her cheeks began to flush in embarrassment at her pathetic 'kind' gesture. Although, when Koinu looks back up at Lián, offering her a gentle smile, she didn't expect the next few words that came out of her mouth.

"Oh and hum... thanks for calling me ugly."

If she had any water, this would be the part where she'd spit it all out. Where in the world had she gotten the idea that Lián had called her ugly? Before she can correct Koinu, another stranger appears, panting. She looks behind him and sees a pack of dogs chasing after him, and this dolt had led them straight here. She takes a step back, her eyes glancing back at the new stranger. "What the fuck do you expect us to do?"

Fushi begins to bark back at the pack of dogs, trying to assert his dominance. Yet, these dogs were both bigger than him and outnumbered him. He whimpers and his tail goes between his hind legs as he backs up. Luckily for him, Koinu had gotten on top and barked at the stray dogs, scaring them away. As they scattered, Fushi couldn't help but lick and slobber at the dog-girl's leg, as if giving his thanks. Lián watches in shock, admittedly a little worried of the outcome for little Fushi. Had Junjie found out that his one and only dog had gotten mauled by a bunch of stray dogs, she was sure that she would have received more than a stern yelling from both her fathers. She shivers at the thought of being lectured by them. They meant well, but the memory of a life lesson Hisao had tried to teach to herself and Shan was like a fresh wound in her mind.

Lián walks up to Koinu, and places a careful hand on her shoulder. "Thank you for saving Fushi, I guess." She uses her other hand to scratch the back of her neck, smiling sheepishly. The girl did protect her dog, and ultimately Lián's own ass, after all. Just this once, she could try and be nice. At least, to the dog-girl, anyways. The ends of her mouth began to twitch after being smiling for a few seconds, so the expression turns back to a frown as she reels back towards the other stranger, jabbing her pointer finger in his chest. "And YOU."

She prods her finger again, the frown deepening into a scowl. "What the hell were you doing and why did you think it was a good fucking idea to bring a whole bunch of dogs here, endangering us as well?"

~Starting Flashback Location & Time~
2 weeks and four days ago in the Exam Site at 5:06 PM

Ayako was startled from her thoughts by a sharp whistle and a booming voice. "HEY BIRD GIRL!" The voice called out. She didn't know who the voice was shouting at, but she could only assume it was her since no one else was in the air. Well, at least, she couldn't see anyone else flying in the immediate area. Might as well look around to see who was calling to her like a wild animal.

Aya fluttered to the ground and tucked her wings in at her sides as she looked around for the person attached to the loud voice. And, soon enough, she found it in the form of a girl with black hair that seemed to be running toward her. The girl's quirk wasn't visible she didn't know what she was capable of, or even if she was friendly. What could she possibly want with a weak girl like herself?

Only one way to find out..

Ayako walked up to meet the girl who had been calling out for her, greeting her with a nervous smile. "H-Hey." She started out in a stutter. "You were t-the one trying to g-get my attention, r-right? I-If not, I'm sorry to b-bother you." Aya gave an apologetic bow before looking back up at the taller female. "A-Anyway, my name's Ayako Nagai, but you can just call me Aya.. I'm not one for formalities, you see.." She introduced herself in a quiet voice, refusing to maintain eye contact with her. If she had the courage, Ayako would have told the girl before her that she was, in fact, not a bird girl; a term she didn't fancy. She was not opposed to being called Feathers, though.

Stoplight at the end of an unidentified street 12:20 PM

A tiny smile sneaked its way onto Ayako's lips as she shook head her head in slight amusement. She was so awkward socially that it was funny. In just a few weeks time, she had gotten a better handle on her social unease, but it still was far from being perfect. Hell, she was still nervous around her parents when they were all in the same room. Maybe that was because Aya didn't know what to talk about when around the both of them.

The young teenager walked around the stoplight and headed back down the street. If she got home by one o'clock, her father would be off for a few hours before he had to get back to work. She looked forward to spending some time with her family before she headed off to the PSA. She could always visit after class was over or on the weekends, but she couldn't help but miss them no matter how close they were. It just wouldn't feel the same when she visited, knowing that she had to leave them just as soon as she arrived.

  • Shiroki Wanaide
    Time: 11:40 am
Location: His home, five blocks away from the school

"SHIRO! YOU'RE LATE!" A familiar girl's voice shouted at her. Shiroki can faintly hear her.

    "..."

"WAKE YOUR ASS UP, DUDE! YOU'RE LATE FOR SCHOOL!"

"School..." Shiro said, trying to recollect his thoughts. Isn't it still summer? Three weeks ago he was just about to go enroll in a hero school named Peace Sign Academy. He surprisingly didn't attain massive damage to himself that time so... His thoughts were cut off when he finally recollected himself

A bird smashed into his window, but the window didn't break. Instead, the bird fell down with its feathers. "WAKE UP, SHIROKI! I'LL SEND DOZENS OF BIRDS INTO YOUR WINDOW!" Liku said in a tone of impatience.

"I'M UP! SHUT UP! Also I don't have school today. You have. I'm not falling into one for your tricks again." Shiro shouted as loud as he could. He looked at the window, and Liku finally calmed down.

"I knew you'd say that." Liku said in a cheerful tone. She was wearing her school uniform, with her backpack strung on her back and an envelope she was holding. She was holding the envelope on the center of her legs, like she was trying hard to look cute. Her brown hair was newly managed.

"You aren't going to school to get a boyfriend, right?" He said.

"Do I look cute enough for you?" Liku softly said.

Shiro sighed, "Just go to school, try-hard fan of mine."

"Check the time, nerd!" Then she finally left.

Shiro sighed in relief as he was left with the quietness of his house. He showered and changed into his casual attire. When he looked at his fridge, he saw nothing to eat. Only milk and some rotten eggs he'd forgot to throw the other day. Right now, he threw the eggs away from the fridge to the trash can. "I guess I have to buy some food now." He got out of his house and decided to go to the nearest grocery store.

Lex Kagame
12:50

"Ahah, I wish."
Lex replied, still trying to catch his breath. He looked up at the shorter of the two girls, answering her question." To help me, of course." He stood, taking deep breaths, just in time to watch the taller girl scare the dogs away with a strangely fascinating quirk. "Wow", he quietly muttered . He stood quietly on the side as the girls were apparently having a moment.

In a distant corner of his mind, a certain 'voice' was laughing his ass off. "Oh oh oh this is rich, the puny boy afraid of some dogs." The 'voice' materialized, taking on the shape of a large grey wolf. Next to him appeared Lex, he was not looking pleased." You know, you really annoy me sometimes, makes me want to beat the crap out of you." The 'voice sneered,"Why don't you go ahead and try, take your anger out on me." The 'voice' circled around the boy." Just know that the minute you let your emotions take over, I will be the one suppress you in this endless prison." The 'voice' continued on cackling before fading away.

12:53
Lex blinked as he felt a finger prodding his chest, it was the shorter girl's, he scratched the back of his head, slightly embarrassed of what he had caused. "W-Well you see, the dogs scented a wolf-ish scent coming from me. They started chasing me because they thought I was a 'enemy' of theirs, I tried to lose them but they were not getting tired. So when I saw y'all, I though you guys can help." He smiled sheepishly bowing slightly." I am sorry for causing this and allow me to treat you guys to some good, it's the best I can do, I'm Lex Kagame by the way."
