Fandom Boku no Hero: Peace Sign Academia Characters

He used this quirk to scare younger kids.
In case this wasn't clear the last time, the using of the quirk is the problem. You can't go around using your quirk it's against the law.

. One day he was making fun of one kid, then the kid stood up for himself and started a fight with Kumo, Kumo lost, and that's when he stopped and actually trained with his quirk. He didn't train that much, he just did it about once a hour a day, for 3 months.
No

nd can hurt his enemy roughly
What does this mean?

Also, pick one of the effects of his special move. The other effect will have to be acquired later with QEP as a separate move

Thunda'. He collides all the clouds together, and with one big bolt he can fire it at the enemy, at the cost of lots of energy. He needs to combine 5 clouds for it, the big bolt will almost drain all of his energy, and can hurt his enemy pretty bad with this, not enough to incapacitate them, and depending on how weak their body is put them in slight stasis, if the body is strong then they won't be put into stasis, and slight stasis means about 10 seconds. (Effect being slight stasis, a bolt of electricity hitting someone and hurting them should be self explanatory.)

Though, he has a second one up his sleeve, he can combine the clouds together and make a type of mist, and hide in it for stealth actions,

The mist is only enough to hold 3 people, it lasts for only 30 seconds, he can't see through it himself, he can't create any clouds during mist stage, and he can't move the mist.
As I said, pick one of these effects, not both. The other can be acquired later with QEP, but you can't start out with it. Then add a cooldown to the one you choose.

Quote: "I'm gonna storm you!!!"
Name: Kumo Fizu
Nicknames: Fizz
Desired Hero Name: Storm warning
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Chosen Extra Class: Mentoring.
Appearance: View attachment 369935
(soon to be) Hero Costume: View attachment 369983
Height: 5'9
Weight: 113
Personality: Kumo is very self-confident and assertive. He's like the slice of life guy, doesn't care about lots else but him. But, he loves tough challenges and faces them anytime he can. He doesn't have lots of love interests because of how perfect he thinks he is, he thinks of himself to perfect for them. He is very disorganized, and doesn't really care about being organized either, he likes to tick people off that have OCD. He is also a trouble-maker as said before, he likes to tick people off, student and teacher alike. He follows his own instincts and hates being ordered around by people, he thinks he's fit for everything, and is meant to be the leader for everything. Kumo barely regrets anything he does as well, once graffiti'ing a old mans house, and not feeling bad or regretting it whatsoever.
Likes: Making people mad, himself (heh), his quirk, storms, the rain, leadership, fame, fortune.
Dislikes: The typical I love the super cool heroes, people below him, a clear sky, dryness.
Fears: People above him, parents. (because they limit him and he's afraid he'll become goodie goodie.)
Mannerisms: He's punk. He's like the "Yo, Whazzup." hunched back kid who is always a di- pain in the butt.
Backstory: He was born in a middle class family, a normal kid. He was very feisty, even at a young age. His parents tried their best to discipline him but it did not work. When he manifested his quirk, he instantly loved the rain and the stormy weather. He bullied kids daily. Finally they told him to stop and said there would be consequences, so he did, but he replaced this with being a total pain in the ass. He acted like the typical hoodrat, acted like he was better than everyone, and did the total dick moves. He stopped being a dick for awhile, seeing if he could make 'chill' out of life. He then decided to stop and be himself, the dick, and that leads him to where he is today.
Relationships: His mom, dad, uncle, aunt, and brother. He respects his mom and dad, barely, his aunt he barely talks too and doesn't really talk to her, and his brother he pushes around as he is younger.
Quirk: "Cloudshot" -Named specifically by Kumo. He has the ability to create small clouds, and can force them grey and shoot small sparks of electricity, being able to shock his opponent slightly, but it's good because he can make multiple clouds, though, the more clouds the more energy he uses up. When Kumo is mad, they are thunder clouds, when he's sad, they rain, and when he's chill, they're white. He can make them grey and do the sparks of lightning anytime though, but at the cost of some energy.

2 clouds is one lap in 20 meters, the most he has ever created the most is lets say 7. That would be 14 laps, 20 meters each lap. He would be tired, one jolt of electricity is a quarter of a lap, so depending if he just rushed in and fired he'd be super tired by the end, so he has to use this wisely.
The slight shocks lets say are like a few wasp stings, 2 wasp stings, but still decrease energy.

He can make one cloud every minute, without the other disappearing, each cloud lasts 15 minutes, unless he decided to let them go, also, clouds deplete quicker with the uses of the jolt of electricity, if it's a smaller cloud 3 jolts and it'll be gone, if it's bigger around 10 jolts, they basically follow him around, think of them like minions that he summons and it follows him, it depends, if he makes smaller clouds they can almost be instant, if he makes bigger clouds it'll take 10-15 seconds.

He can remotely make them grey.

Special Moves: Thunda'. The cooldown of this attack is 5 minutes, though he might not have enough energy to do it again. (Effect being slight stasis, a bolt of electricity hitting someone and hurting them should be self explanatory.)

Items: A watch, a hoodie, and some shades.
Skills/talents: Two things, being a dick and full on rushing the enemy.
APPROVED!

I'll add you to the dorms and rankings and character list tomorrow, as at the moment I will be focusing on finishing today's reviews and hopefully the first draft of the review guidebook

    -Tara

    Name: Tarataclene Nakamura

Nicknames: Tara obviously, because many people tend to mispronounce her first name. It's an easy alternative, and it's what she will always introduce herself as. Mura' Mura' is a name Tara's father calls her in an attempt to embarrass her.

    Age: 15
    Height: 5'6
    Weight: 147lbs
Gender: Iron male. In case you didn't get that, on the periodic table, FE is how iron is listed. So having 'FE' before 'male', creates 'FEmale'. Which is a gender.

    Appearance
With a tan complexion, and strangely white locks of hair, many would say that Tara is pretty good looking. Though she'd never say she's anything past the realm of 'kinda cute'. But with a surprisingly athletic form, a number would beg to differ. Usually, Tara wears clothes that are in the realm of her 'aesthetic', but also wearing them in the most comfortable way possible. With this in mind, one can easily understand why her clothes either hug her body tightly or are very baggy simply from being a size or two too big.
Her overactive tendencies make it seem that there's always a thin layer of sweat on her body, which makes her skins glisten and shine under light.
One thing that is clear, is that Tara almost always has something over her head, as the hair on the top of her head is quite hard to tame. The 'Bright Beast' as she calls it, as it grows in such a way where combing it is "-Damn near impossible! ..-Sorry.." This results in her hair pretty much always retaining a 'wild' look. And while this might look "badass" at times, most of the time it just makes her look like someone who doesn't take care of herself. In which she does, pretty much every other part of her body is in "-Tip-Top Shape! And ready for action!" Toned from her life of scaffolding literally anything and everything in sight, and in within the limits of her athletic ability. An ability which broadened with her appearance.

Minor bruises, scarring, and picked scabs can be seen in pretty much every part of her body, her shins, in particular, are very clearly scarred. One scar starting there and ending on the backside of her calf, an old injury that one could only imagine receiving. However, Tara's hands lack scarring, due to the skin on them being very thick. This being the product of her 'reckless' activity of essentially climbing things she's not supposed to. The same can go for the bottoms of her feet, as the skin on them has been toughened up simply from putting lots of pressure on them.

“STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM!”

Fine-Tuned Rollerblades:
Specially designed for reaching max speed by attaining the perfect balance of friction to get enough grip on the surface to allow her to propel herself while not having the friction take away from the speed.

Helmet:
An actual, functioning helmet. Hey, even with a quirk, you can’t be too careful!

False Hair:
Blonde hair that protrudes from the helmet for somewhat cosmetic reasons, but also as a situational tactic; the hair pops right off if someone tries to grab it, which might just be surprising enough to an attacker to give her the upper hand or give her time to escape.

Height:
156 cm — 5’ 1 1/2”

Weight:
45 kg — 99 lbs

Personality:
A gross oversimplification of the kind of person Hikari is would be to say she is “spirited”; a lively soul that seems to eminate energy and noise wherever she goes, Hikari is the type of person who thinks any moment not spent enjoying yourself and the world and people around you is a moment wasted. Her point of view falls solidly within the realm of optimism on the sliding scale of optimism and pessimism, and tries her damnedest to find the positive in even the most mundane or negative moments of life. She is a girl that tends to keep everything out on the surface, not wanting to keep secrets as it’s her philosophy that they will eventually leak anyway. Being a kid of a relatively stable and average family, she never really developed the cold cynicism and gritty realism (and especially not the edgelord-ism) that comes to so many around the time of adolescence. Her view of the world is through the lens of a comfortable, middle-class girl with very little exposure to how harsh the world can be, with most of her exposure to the world being riding around with the neighborhood kids and daytime television. Much of what shapes this view is her immersion in hero culture, both the mainstream brand of the common day and the day-dreamy tales spun by comic book artists hundreds of years ago, in the time before quirks. The romantic ideal that everything will be okay as long as you give it everything you got has been a staple of the way she thinks for as long as she can remember, and it’s been something she’s been told to give up time and time again by many a person because of how ludicrous it is in practice. However, she shows no signs of giving up this belief any time soon.
When reality does eventually hit her on rare occasions, it hits her hard. When something goes horribly wrong, when not everything turns out alright in the end, when evil triumphs even briefly, she is extremely difficult to console. She has been known to break down crying over news reports of common muggers evading capture, and she has often fallen into fits of depression over friends and family not getting justice when they have been wronged by a criminal. In that way, she is a bit of a sensitive soul.
On an unrelated note, from living in a neighborhood with a large population of child prodigies, she has become insecure about her intelligence despite actually being a tiny bit above average in terms of overall intelligence (Her IQ is about 107). This has caused her to develop an extreme work ethic from constantly studying and studying and studying to not seem unintelligent to her friends in her old neighborhood.
A concept that tends to not sink in for her a lot of the time is consequences. She tends to take rules and the law as a fair-weather suggestion rather than a zero-tolerance list of things you should not do, and instead tends to fall into a bad habit of basing decisions on personal morality. She won’t break the rules gratuitously—as that’s begging for expulsion—but she’s willing to bend rules if she feels like it would be more satisfying to do so. Along with this, she tends to not learn from mistakes; for example, if she skates skull-first into a wall because of misjudged inertia, you can guarantee she will run into that very same wall three or four more times before it sinks in that she’s doing something wrong.

Dislikes:
-Most Japanese food — foreign food tends to agree with her flavor palette better for some reason
-Headphones and earbuds
-Sitting down, unless she’s exhausted
-Being forced to sleep when she isn’t tired
-The sound that is made when flexible plastic rubs against a smooth solid
-Room temperature — it’s too warm in summer, it’s too cold in winter, and it’s too average any other time
-Ballet

Fears:
-Though she doesn’t actually fear heights on their own and can stand on a building dozens of meters tall with confidence, she has a form of Acrophobia that makes her afraid of not standing on a solid surface and dislike the sensation thereof. Even if she is only a few centimeters from the ground, hanging from a rope or being suspended in midair by some other means can make her violently nauseous. It is possible that this is a side effect of growing up with her quirk, where her body knows instinctively that her foot not being in contact with the ground is a bad thing, though it is not certain if this is the case.
-She is afraid of walking or traveling alone in unfamiliar places.
-She is afraid of firearms and sharp objects to a degree unusual to normal people. Even steak knives make her uncomfortable, and she won’t touch anything that is even remotely weapon-like.

Mannerisms:
Extreme curiosity about other people, almost to an obnoxious degree. If there is a conversation within earshot, she will butt into it; if there is something she wants to know about someone, she will pester them until they crack; if something is troubling someone, she will insist she wants to know what’s wrong no matter how many times she has to hear the phrase “I don’t want to talk about it.” What she does with all of this information is a mystery for the ages.

Backstory:
Hikari was born to a pretty typical, run-of-the-mill middle class suburb as the middle child of an accountant and a ballerina who met when Hikari’s mom had to resolve a mix-up at the National Tax Agency involving one of her performers. Her father was the man who performed her audit, and, after everything was cleared up, he invited her out to drinks. They soon became intimate and eventually married and had three kids; Ryuunosuke, little Ai, and, of course, Hikari.
Hikari grew up in the relatively calm neighborhood and mingled with the neighbor kids, leading to her having a relatively typical, healthy social life, often hanging around smart kids in the neighborhood to learn about the AP classes at their schools and get a general gist of what they learn. In her child years, she was homeschooled by her mother with the bare minimum requirement of general studies, as her mother intended for her to take over her family business, which they have been doing for almost as long as quirks have been around. For a while, she practiced diligently and respected her mother’s wishes—in fact, her enjoyment of roller skating is originally from the training she did, as it was the easiest training exercise to enjoy—but she couldn’t help but feel dissatisfied with the idea of being a performer.
After a brief identity crisis and several months of hiding herself in reprints of Pre-Quirk era comics, as well as long talks with her older brother already enrolled in a hero course, she decided she wanted to become a hero, despite how ill-fitted the “family quirk” was for heroics. Though her mother objected, she didn’t want to stand in the way of her daughter’s happiness, and begrudgingly let her enroll at the hero academy that was being built nearby.

Relationships:
Mrs. Shimabukuro—“Mama Bear”—Mother
Professional ballerina, 41. Has an identical quirk to Hikari. Wants her daughter to take on a more finessed profession than heroism like the rest of the family, but otherwise on good terms.

Mr. Shimabukuro—“Papa Bear”—Father
Accountant, 45. Has a quirk for Numerical Parallel Processing that makes his job faster. Doesn’t have any stake in the familial debate over professions, and loves all of his children, including Hikari, equally and unconditionally.

Ryuunosuke Shimabukuro—“Longname McMouthful”—Older Brother
Unemployed, 19. Has a combined quirk that allows him to calculate the force each of his muscles will apply to an object in real time. Graduated from a fairly reputable hero school, but didn’t pass the bar to become an official hero despite showing promise. Jumps from job to job without settling down, and is in an employment dry spell. Highly supportive of his little sister, but mildly resentful at the same time.

Ai Shimabukuro—“Ai-dorable”—Little Sister
Middle school student, 12. Has an identical quirk to Hikari. Plans to follow in the footsteps of her mother, but looks up to Hikari as a role model.

Unlisted: Several friends whom she has lost contact with since signing up to attend class at PSA.

Quirk:
Gyroscope:
A mutation quirk that adds a series of muscles to her body that behave like a gyroscope, which causes her center of balance to always be in her feet. This means that, as long as she has at least one of the soles of her feet at least tangentially in contact with a surface (such as through a shoe or rollerblade) that is not vertical or downwards-facing, she can’t fall over. However, whenever her feet come off of the ground, she can fall over as easy as anyone else unless she lands her fall, and the quirk can never be turned off. This has led to several hilarious incidents where her heel actually rolled down in contact with her bed while sleeping, causing her to bolt upright on her feet while still remaining asleep. These muscles behave like any other muscle does, and, while they are involuntary muscles with all the endurance which that would entail, they have to work much harder than most muscles to maintain balance, and can be strained if she doesn’t sit frequently enough. Excluding any additional physical activity, two hours of standing motionless and upright is a challenge to do, and both moving and extreme leaning—especially a combination of the two—can drastically reduce that time to as little as 15 to 20 minutes.

Special Move:
Super Speed Skating:
Lowering her profile to almost parallel to the ground, Hikari skates as fast as her legs can carry her. Without having to worry about her balance at all as long as she makes sure one skate is always down, and air resistance being reduced to a minimum, Hikari can reach speeds no one could hope to reach without the use of a Quirk or a vehicle. If given a 100 meter start up, she can reach the speed of the average civilian car on a freeway, and God forbid you let her roll down a hill; although unproven, she claims she once broke 200 km/h (roughly 125 mph) on a particularly large hill in a neighborhood she lived in.

Items:
An old pair of rollerblades to practice speed skating with (and also because it’s just her preferred method of transportation,) and her phone.

Skills/talents:
Situational Humor—Hikari somewhat prides herself on her ability to make people laugh in conversation, especially when she catches them off guard with jokes they would never expect a seemingly innocent little girl like her to say.
Speed Skating—Somewhat obvious, extremely self explanatory.
Flexibility—Another result of her mother’s old training plan.
Gardening—Hikari took care of the family flowers whenever everyone else forgot, and picked up a bit of a green thumb.
Reflexes—Honed over nearly a decade of ramming into solid objects on skates.

Other:
Randomly tapes objects to the undersides of desks and counters for no reason other than to be able to randomly pull the objects from those places.
Idea Idea I finally worked up the courage to make a character, and now I’m ready to fine tune it into a usable form for the roleplay. :D

Brilliant job, I love it! I am a little confused regarding some details of the quirk, but given the rest of it I don't think there is reason to worry, so APPROVED!

Personality:
"More than anything, I've always wanted to be rich and famous. I swear nothing makes me happier than having a pocket full of cash and then going to spend it on whatever the hell I want. Of course, since all the stuff I buy is a little expensive, I end up flat broke in no time. You might say its wasteful or stupid to pay over 140,000 yen for a black leather-trimmed wool shirt, but I'd say it's worth it."

"When I become a hero, everyone's gonna love me. Men will want to be me and women will want to be with me. I won't be going out with any two-timing dames, of course. If you ask me, love is as stupid as it is fake. Women only want one thing, and that's a man that they think they can steal from and manipulate. Well, the 'ladies' of PSA won't be getting a cent out of me, I can tell you that much. You show me a girl who isn't only interested in the size of a man's muscles or his wallet, and I'll show you a surprised Hidari."

"When you're a hero, that entitles you to a certain amount of respect right from the getgo. That means no one is gonna dare talk crap about me, especially not to my face. If there's one thing that ticks me off its disrespectful meatheads who think they're better than me. Here's a newsflash for ya, buddy. If you have to go around soiling my good name, then you're not better than me, not by a long shot. So don't even think about going around and telling lies about me, 'less you want me to make you eat your words. I'm not a creep, I'm not an asshole, and most importantly, I'm not some lowlife, understand?"

"I'm not gonna lie; I don't work well in teams. Well, I can if I'm the leader, otherwise I'm better off by myself. It's only natural that the smartest member of a group is made the boss, right? Big, muscly idiots who think with their muscles or their 'other muscles' tend to ruin everything for everyone and then take credit for a genius' work at the end of the day. All Might's a cool guy and all but let's be honest with ourselves here. At the end of the day, if he didn't have those muscles he'd be like a weird and lanky anime character. What I'm trying to say is, I'm not going to take orders from anyone here who doesn't have an expert cunning like myself. Anyone who will sit down and just listen to what I have to say will get along with me just fine."

"I guess the last thing I have to say is that I don't take shortcuts. If I'm going to become a hero that everyone loves and adores, I've got to do it the right way. Taking the easy way out is cowardly, and if manga has taught us anything, it's that nobody likes a cowardly protagonist. I'm gonna give this hero business 101%! Anything less just isn't good enough! Any bastard who's looking to become a hero the easiest way possible is less than worthless."
The personality is very confusing to read and I couldn't find serious flaws in it. I say "and" because it's possible there are some in there and I just wasn't able to see them. So, add serious flaws or try explaining the personality in another manner just in case, your choice.

I'll try to paraphrase it for ya

This....... what? First off there is basically no personality, which is the biggest problem. The quirk itself seems fine but what is the process, how is it fully done, and what are it's drawbacks and weaknesses that the user has to overcome. Also while providing just a worded description is allowed, I think we all would much heavily prefer a picture of your character so it's easier for use to interact with him. Also your CS shows no real organization to it at all and it's hard to read at times (maybe try separating the different categories to start). Also I'd suggest you read the rules and character creation for you to have an easier time to make this CS.

Name: Jim Maeda (ジーム前田)

Desired Hero Name: “Flash Jet”

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Chosen Extra Class: Support.

Appearance: A short and thin guy, but not without some muscle. His hair is brown and rather shaggy, his eyes are blue and radiate cheerfulness, and his standing is very upright, as if he tries to muster yet another millimeter. He also tends to smell of oranges.

(soon to be) Hero Costume:
fmxnh9bHmymzLYHr26UFeVszxSDG8JCTCrYPjv62zDHHYW2U2-o0QFSCPNAviXzeGm-0L5D-OzP8D8HkjStJOJsHx8GhJOBLzHQKAUNZcEHJmk259D79r4yZMacmKTf3IHwahU2i
(Gun not included). In addition to being stylish, the light polymer armor can endure a crash should it happen relatively safely, and can be paired with a pair of boxing gloves (to soften the blow) or gauntlets (to harden the attack and to protect Jim's hands). Jim also plans on finding a way of gliding (while not sacrificing his agility) and perhaps using a device to float or for the quirk to require less power.

Height: 154 CM

Weight: 43 KG

Personality: Jim, first and foremost, is a firm believer that “every man a king”. He’ll treat everyone with respect, and would be considered humble if he would also respect authority and talk to them with some of the innate respect they have. He does enjoy smart people more, but he considers it a personal bias. He won’t respect a rigid hierarchy, and if needed he’ll fight it in any legal way he can pull, up and including outright one man protests.

Jim also likes order. Not because something from his past or something, he just likes it when the toys are in their boxes, the room is clean, nobody drew on his desk and people respect his boundaries. Likewise if you threw trash on the floor or got a rock concert in the room next door when it should be sleep time, he won’t remain nice for long. Social order, on the other hand, can be disturbed a bit, because it’s not matching his point of view. A bit of blue and orange morality, as some people might point out.

Another thing to mention is that, in Jim's eyes, he is a clever guy who could probably help humanity to recover from a century of chaos and stagnation. He will enjoy explaining his ideas, sharing them with people who’d like to exchange their own ideas, improve upon others’ ideas and helping people. He'll take failure pretty seriously.

It's not all fun and games with him. During times of great stress Jim might regress quite a bit to his cranky and angry self. In that case he might be calmed with sweets or good words, but he'll be as reasonable as a little kid with anger management issues. Recovering from that state may take him anything between minutes to an entire day, and you can be sure he'll need some assistance during that time.

The biggest no-no in Jim’s book, however, would have to be bullying. He’ll protect the victim, punch out the bully, and in general will do whatever he can. Even if it had a small role in his childhood, it certainly left the most bitter taste.

Likes: (at least 4): Oranges, Progressive rock, Smart people, Technology, order, pragmatic solutions, “down to earth” attitude.

Dislikes: (at least 4): Disorganization, Boring people, rigid hierarchy, avarice, Carrots, prefixes (See below)

Fears: (at least 2): Fear of statism (He might like routines, but he surely doesn't like when they repeat for too much with no change), Fear of bugs.

Mannerisms: Stands very upright, has a certain dislike to prefixes (will use -san a lot even if mildly inappropriate and if he can't get away with no prefixes) and in general will talk in a rather informal way.

Backstory: Before Jim's Birth, when his mother was still pregnant, a tourist defended her from robbers and rapists in a dark night. The man has successfully driven off and injured the criminals, but in the process was mortally injured. The least Mrs.Maeda could do for the hero was to honor him by naming her son after him. A rumor that earned some tract in the neighborhood during Jim's birth was that the man was given a second chance by being a part of the newborn.
Born to a pair of loving parents who married for quirk mixing, but stayed for the love, Jim spent his early life waiting for his quirk like every child. His short stature made him bullied for rather some time by petty bullies. By the time he had enough at the age of seven, Jim was actually pretty jaded and cynical, unusually to a kid of this age.
Thus, his parents decided Jim would fare better in a more free range environment- a private school that focuses less on discipline and more about the student’s personal growth, as it’s designed for children with behavior problems who might otherwise develop some serious issues. In that school Jim found joy in technology, both pre-crises and post-crisis. Through careful nurturing of the crew, led by Mrs. Aoi Goya (and a fair amount of hardships) Jim also managed to let go of most of his jaded outlook in life and in general became a much more balanced person. However the informal attitude in the school also left him questioning authority and he dislikes all the serious prefixes, as they are the sign of inherent authority, a thing better left off in the old world. In addition, he did find a speech that a kid made about pragmatism and why the villains shouldn't be just thrown into cardboard prisons pretty inspiring, which when mixed with the "free thinking" attitude of the school led him to question a few values about society. Thus, he came into the conclusion that repeated villains should be treated with capital punishment. This train of thought made him more pragmatic in time, allowing him to question the beliefs of heroes and go into a more unique if dangerous path.
After he finished elementary school with honors, he got into a more "regular" middle school, as his parents felt he’s adjusted enough. A turning point in Jim’s life (the most recent so far, in fact) lies with a friend whose father has some connections within Peace Sign Academia. After a recommendation from the his friend's old man, Jim enrolled and actually entered the school. And from there on? Jim’s about to see a great turning point in life.

Relationships: Parents, Makoto and Izumi Maeda- Parents of three children, with Jim being the middle child. They married for powers, but found out that they actually fit together, so they are in pretty affable relations. They are about as boring as parents can get, being middle-high class parents with the ability to conjure money in the bat of the eye if Jim will ever need snack money.

Sisters, Aimi and Tomoko Maeda- Aimi is the big and responsible sister while Tomoko is a five year old kid with some tantrum outbreaks going. Aimi used to tease Jim for his frame and Tomoko frequently tries to pull pranks on her older brother, but where it counts they will protect each other. Aimi does constantly gets peeved for her brother’s lack of respect for pronouns, though.

Shinji Akimoto- A quirkless yet loved kid who jokes that his quirk is to make everyone happy. He’s the best friend of Jim (Although, amusingly enough, Jim isn’t HIS best friend), knows how to cheer him up, and might have some control over his father.

Akimoto San- A businessman with a few moral qualms, yet loves his son Shinji. Helped Jim to get an entrance ticket to the tests. Might have further potential in him and is rumored to be affiliated with a crime syndicate.

Mrs. Aoi Goya- A kindly woman who was Jim’s favorite teacher. She loves all the kids she teaches or have taught, and they love her back. She is the woman who inspired love and hope in young Jim. Still texts him occasionally, and once upon a blue moon Jim might actually write a letter to her or send her a few sketches. In his eyes, at least, she is a guardian angel.

Jim Chain- when Mrs.Maeda was pregnant a group of goons mugged her and attempted to gang-rape her. Chain, an American tourist and a soldier, fought valiantly, driving them off and perhaps saving Mrs.Maeda's life and most definitely her honor, but was gravely injured after being burned and impaled and died hours later in the hospital. For his heroic sacrifice our Jim was named after him, and it is said that he resembles Chain personality-wise, as if a part of the unborn and the dead merged that day.

Students from his middle school- He was an acquaintance of most of them, knowing them by their last names. Should they ever want to talk Jim left them his phone number.

Quirk: "Not Quite Flight"- For a second Jim can fly. It can be as slow as 10 Meters (38 KM/h) to 30 Meters (108 KM/h), and the slower it gets the more control Jim has over the movements. It tires Jim as if he Sprinted the way to where he is and back, and can be used only every few seconds, but it has its uses. Jim has a rudimentary understanding of how to not screw up when he jumps, so he won't fail when jumping to things like a large window or a narrow opening. Usually.

Special Moves: "Lance!"- although an actual lance would most likely seriously injure or even kill the victim, Jim can use his quirk to pull an exceptionally nasty punch upon the target. However, the shock from such unprotected attack can break Jim's hand easily. If executed right, however, the kinetic energy will break the victim.

Items: While Jim’s room mostly lack decoration, it has a small, pre-crisis, antique Swiss clock on the desk. It doesn’t work, but perhaps one day it will. In addition, Jim likes to carry an orange, a pen and an extra sheet of paper with him. If Jim knows he’ll practice today, he’ll also bring the pair of boxing gloves from home he packed for school fights. In his bag he tends to always have an orange/ orange product for a “break energy” and a few spare sheets of paper along with a pen.

Skills/talents: When it comes to lessons, Jim seems to get his stuff together. In addition he can care for himself in the basic level and has a pretty solid understanding of how things work, even if he lacks formal education. In addition, he is surprisingly knowledgeable about pre-crisis culture, history and other stuff from before crisis (his favorite band is Genesis, in fact). Lastly, as if Jim Chain himself lended him the knowledge, he is exceptionally proficient in English.

Theme Song:

Other, notable things:

  • Blood type A, Day of birth is October 30.

  • He calls the days before the discovery of quirks the pre-crisis era as “We could be living in Mars and Europa and all we got are some mutations”.

  • His view about society nowadays is that it's a "load of crap". While he recognizes the system has done a good way in preserving society, it must now be reformed and changed into a society that can finally recognize progress. He dreams of an era where all will be protected under the law, scientist will be the new superheroes, everyone will be able to become a hero, villains will be recognized during their childhood and be given a proper counselling in order to stop their drop and people will at long last drop all the complicated rules of etiquette and love the other as they love themselves. The way things go now, as Jim sees it, people will be confined into this blue marble, never progressing, which is exactly why Jim wants to change everything.

Come on already! You're boring me to death here man. Liven this place up will ya?
Saitou Akira

Name: Akira Saitou
Nicknames: Kiki | Aki | Annoying Brat
Desired Hero Name: Sunset Rider
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Chosen Extra Class: General Studies
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 148lbs
Hero Costume:
tumblr_p01b49pRAQ1r0ge4lo1_1280.jpg

Personality:
Akira is very hyper active and energetic. He's lively and doesn't seem to stay still in one place for long. He's all about making people laugh and smile even though he may make a fool of himself from time to time. He's highly positive and believes in hard work and determination. He can be a bit of a flirt towards others; sometimes for jokes and sometimes seriously. He has a great sense of justice and is more than happy to help others out any way he can. He can be a bit competitive but loves a little bit of a challenge. He can have a care free attitude normally but will quickly become serious when the time calls for it.

When it comes to being selfless, "kindness" is practically Akira's middle name. The well being of others always come first which usually results in him ignoring his own feelings or emotions. It had been a terrible habit for him to have because not only will he express how he really feels, he will try to use humor to throw others off from knowing when something is wrong. When he does some how get broken down into expressing how he really feels, he easily becomes stubborn stating his feelings don't matter.

Due to his constant bickering with his brother, Akira has grown to be quite competitive. He wants to be the best but knows he can't unless he proves it. His attitude seems to change when he knows he's being challenged, timed, or racing against a clock. In fact, he can even be very critical to those around him even resulting in him being a bit of a showoff or insulting them to their face.

Akira can become quite heartbroken when he feels he is not useless. He wishes he could be more active during the night when it comes to hero work. However, his quirk just doesn't seem to allow that and because of it, he beats himself up over it all the time. He doesn't hate himself but he sure feels like a idiot when he knows he can't do anything.

Fears:

    • Becoming a disappointment to the family | Akira is already on shaky ground with his father. He's afraid that one day he may actually do something to really tick his parents off.
    • Drowning | He was never a good swimmer. He's always been afraid of even going too far into the ocean.
    • Cats | Evil little things!

Mannerisms:

    • Fidget | He has a bit of a problem when it comes to sitting still. He will often begin to making popping noises with his mouth or tapping his knees with his hands.

Backstory:
Akira was born the second and youngest son of the Saitou household. As a child, Akira was expected to take on many tasks just as his brother did. His older brother was a perfectionist prodigy; not just in swordsmanship but also in academics. The two seemed to have a bit of a rivalry with Akira's brother believing he was far more superior. It was easy to tell which of the two boys Akira's father preferred. His father was the instructor of his own kendo school. His father took the form of martial arts seriously and made it his life goal to teach all his children his techniques. As one would expect, Akira was treated sternly and strict. His family wanted him to become perfect and flawless just as his brother was. However, Akira was always more free spirited and lively. He never took things as serious because he wanted to be his own person.

Due to unfortunately circumstances, Akira did not get to know his mother very well. The woman was a hero and from what his older brother and father tell him, she was a strong one at that. Her name reflected her quirk very well. She was able to absorb solar energy and emit it radiating it into a field around herself. She was the shining light of the world; at least in Akira's imagination. His father was never really interested in becoming a hero. However, he did have a simpler quirk which allowed him function weaponry with little to no knowledge prior. His father never truly expressed how his mother died; it was always a sensitive subject for the man.

Akira's brother eventually went off to attend a hero academy; one of the top ones no doubt. However, with his brother gone, Akira became more reckless. In fact, he seemed to develop his own individuality now that the burden of his brother was lifted. His father grew tired of trying to get his hard headed son to listen. Akira's punishments grew as he aged and became more rebellious. However one thing was certain, his determination to grow stronger and help others was consistent. He wanted to become a hero just like his mother and protect those in need.

Relationships:

    • Eizo Saitou | Father; Sensai of Saitou Kendo Dojo for the Gifted.
    • Kana Saitou | Mother; Previously known as a hero called "Radiance" though confirmed dead.
    • Tadaaki Saitou | Older Brother; Currently tending to hero work.

Quirk:
Solar Blade Manipulation

Akira is capable of converting solar energy into various types of blades (ex. swords, knives, shurikens, kunai, rapiers, pocket knives, and machetes to be exact). These blade are given physical mass but are radioactive of heat and could probably make you uncomfortable if you stare at them for too long. His body acts as a natural solar panel collecting sun rays during the day. His body, in a sense, is a functioning battery that collects solar rays during the day causing his skin to glow naturally. His battery life lasts about two hours from full charge to completely empty. Once empty, he enters a state of extreme exhaustion barely able to keep himself awake. With his limitations, he is fairly useless during the night. If he does have a full battery life and remains in the sunlight, he is able to use incoming solar waves in order to save battery life. With stored or incoming solar energy, he is able to construct bladed weapons at the palm of his hands. He continuously releases energy regardless of how many weapons he constructs. Weapons crafted can become limitless, however, whether or not he is even able to craft a single weapon depends on his solar battery life. The more energy he has to spare, the greater number of blades he can produce. The more time he spends outside, the more energy he can have at his disposal. He wishes to train in order to increase his internal battery life so he wont be limited to being helpful during the day.

Special Move:
Super Sunset Cross Blade Storm!!!

Akira is able to produce a large amount of solar blades to descend at high speeds from the sky. Much like a meteor shower, the swords crash into the Earth. If they have no impaled a target, they will instead caused miniature solar flares before disappearing. This move would require a large amont of energy so, for higher success rate, this move would have to be done during the day in the sun. He has practiced this move multiple times to see how many blades he could make. Currently, he's up to thirty.

Items:

    • Super Trouble Double Mint Gum Pack | Never know when you're gonna need it.
    • Kendo Shinai | Kendo practice never stops.
    • Old family photo | An old photo of the entire family; including his mother. At the time, Akira was still an infant.
    • Cellphone | Just in case a cutie wants his number.

Skills/Talents:

    • Swordsmanship | He's no stranger to sword work.
    • Athleticism | He is very athletic and able to keep up physically with many. He's no slacker when it comes to doing laps.
    • Evasive Maneuvers | If things don't work out well, he's pretty quick on his feet.
    • Skilled Choreographer | The boys a natural dancer. His brother always joked about if being a hero never worked out, he should join one of those J-Pop boy bands or something.
    • Fashion Savvy | If you look good, you feel great!
    • Giant Monster Film Enthusiast | He's a big nerd for giant monster films.

Mannerisms: Stands very upright, has a certain dislike to prefixes (will use -san a lot even if mildly inappropriate and if he can't get away with no prefixes) and in general will talk in a rather informal way.

Backstory: Born to a pair of loving parents who nevertheless married for quirk mixing, Jim spent his early life waiting for his quirk, but the slow manifesting of the quirk, along his short stature, made him bullied for rather some time. By the time he got his quirk at the age of seven, Jim was actually pretty jaded and cynical, unusually to a kid of this age. Thus, his parents decided Jim would fare better in a more free range environment- a private school that focuses less on discipline and more on the student’s growth, as it’s designed for children with behaviour problems who might otherwise develop some serious issues. In that school Jim found joy in technology, both pre-crises and post-crisis. Through careful nurturing of the crew (and a fair amount of hardships) Jim also managed to let go of most of his jaded outlook in life (“turned into” Pragmatism) and in general became a much more balanced person. However the informal attitude in the school also left him questioning authority and he dislikes all the serious prefixes, as they are the sign of inherent authority, a thing better left off in the old world. In middle school, as his parents felt he’s adjusted enough, he enrolled in a state school, which was a regular school. A turning point in Jim’s life is in a friend whose father has some connections within Peace Sign Academia. Jim enrolled and actually entered the school.

Akimoto San- A businessman with a few moral qualms, yet loves his son.

ALRIGHT! Let's use this new guide book and put it to the test!

First problem I see is the personality. It is a good start, but it needs some changes. The second paragraph about order, I see it more like a character quirk than a personality flaw. OCD almost. Your justification for social order and why it's okay to be broken also needs some fixing, I would like a better explanation as to why. As for your flaw it is disregarded, as something that occasionally happens isn't a flaw. I'd suggest either making it into one or making a whole new one. These were the biggest problems I found with your personality.

Your character's like about pragmatic solutions should either be removed or be elaborated on, since I can't tell if he likes it if someone comes up with one or if he likes it when he does it. In your backstory Jim got his quirk at seven, which is not possible. All quirks come at around the age of four, and by then if nothing happens that means either your quirk is really redundant or you don't have one at all. Some of your relationships don't make an appearance in your backstory, so please add the ones that don't appear into it.

The description of the quirk confuses me a bit. Can Jim fly or is it just a big jump? How many times can he use it? What is the likelihood of messing up the jump? His special move also says it may "break the victim", what do you mean by that?

I don't know if I covered everything that needed fixing, but the major ones I saw I think I did. Anyways reply soon so we can get this guys accepted into the PSA!

Let's begin with a clarification: "Not Quite Flight" is a sort of a "three dimensional dash" (Those of you who know Overwatch, think of Genji's dash). Like the quirk says explicitely in the name, it's somewhere in the scale between a long jump and a flight, and it's controllable. Jim can use it once every few seconds in theory, but as it takes a physical toll on him he is limited by his body(And seeing as he isn't a very physical teenager, you can expect him to have three to four uses before he breaks). And by "breaking the victim" in "Lance!", I meant "thrusting an armed fist into the belly of your enemy at the speed of a car on the highway will be more than merely painful". Easily balanced by the fact that pulling it requires skill and practice, so it's not completely unbalanced, and seeing as it's a quick trip to the hospital a sane person would be reluctant to pull this.

The idea of Pragmatism is from a previous idea I had for the personality, I'll have to revise that. All you said in general will be revised, of course.

Edit: his need for order is a personality trait/quirk, it's not a flaw. If I knew a flaw was mandatory I'd pull something else.

Edit 2: Check the new editing and tell me what you like or not.

Name: Jim Maeda (ジーム前田)

Nicknames: "Lil Jim" (former)

Students from his middle school- He was an acquaintance of most of them, knowing them by their last names. Should they ever want to talk Jim left them his phone number.

As long as he maintains that anger management problem and fear of failure, then I think this CS is................

Hitsukiri personality is complicated. He suffers from bipolar disorder which messes up his mental state. From being boisterous and talkative, he can easily spring into quiet and reserved. He's also contradicts himself all the time whenever speaking to someone about a topic. A weird person who doesn't even understand himself at times. So confused at this fact that he mentally beats himself up for not understanding on why. It doesn't help that he's at times mentally vulnerable at times of stress that he makes it worse on him every time he switches moods.

Some of his traits makes it worse. Pessimism, imaginative, and realistic. His pessimism makes him downgrade himself way too far, such as calling himself useless. Imaginative, because he likes dreaming about being his old normal self without the need of medication. This however is shot down by his realistic trait which crushes his dreams. A person full of chained emotions, and thoughts as he is driven to madness as he is overwhelmed by the whirlpool of emotions. He just holds on because of his family, and a small thread of hope that maybe someday someone will understand him. During this time Hitsukiri would receive a huge headache causing him to have lack of focus on whatever he is doing.

While he's on meds he's generally much more in-control. He’s generally quiet around his peers and strangers, and talkative around friends. His pessimism is still there but to a smaller extent. When around friends, he goes over the top. His teases, and concerns go overboard as he would call someone fat or fret about their crouched back. While he is somewhat considerate what he excepts when someone needs a reality check. Whether it was their dream, or not he’ll crush their views.

Hitsukiri also tends to be forgetful claiming to have terrible memory. Whether it would be his mental disorder lingering around, or he’s naturally forgetful of details isn’t known. Though without a doubt he will always be loyal to his friends. He has two traits that can be rather problematic, pessimism and imaginative. While his pessimism still stresses him out, his imagination can be a little wild.

If there were situations where Hitsukiri had an opportunity to help, then he would abstain from helping at all. His thought were most likely thinking that he would just get in the way of things, even though they could use his help. This is mainly because he has no faith in his fighting skills despite learning martial arts.

    • It's safe to say that Tsuki definitely won't be one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Oh no, no no. Not even by a long shot. Through the years of her waking, breathing, eating, and basic living, she's heard a multitude of Phrases and words being thrown at her. But, "kind", is not one of them. For the most part, Tsukinome doesn't display most emotions, if any at all. Like the rest of her family, she's logical and analytical, priding truth and justice over all else. She isn't as emotionless as those power driven mindless freaks that are members of her family, and truly not like her brother, but she is in her own regards cold. Some times, she can even be regarded as intimidating due to the way she presents herself. But some have see her kind and welcoming side, mainly San Ho. This is because she likes to close herself off, only showing emotion to those she can trust not to take her for granted.

Though, like every member of the Mikoto family, she is very smart and analytical. And while she does not like her family line due to how she was treated, she still wants to be a good member of her family, and make her parents proud. She has always wanted to make her parents proud. Unlike most children who, by this time, might have decided they loathed their parents with a passion, she still couldn't help but to love them. And to prove to them that she could be useful and powerful.

Idea Idea
I am ready for evaluation, Idea-Sama *bows*

before i jump into this, first of all, hi! im yuckeroni, you probably havent seen enough of me to know me all that well, but im one of the co-gms who was taking a break and is now getting back into the rp and attending to the business of being a co-gm. anyways, welcome, and let's started~~~

first, i love genji lololol need me more of that man mmmm

Akira is very hyper active and energetic. He's lively and doesn't seem to stay still in one place for long. He's all about making people laugh and smile even though he may make a fool of himself from time to time. He's highly positive and believes in hard work and determination. He can be a bit of a flirt towards others; sometimes for jokes and sometimes seriously. He has a great sense of justice and is more than happy to help others out any way he can. He can be a bit competitive but loves a little bit of a challenge. He can have a care free attitude normally but will quickly become serious when the time calls for it.

your personality is lacking some serious flaws, if you need any help with that, please refer to the terminology section on the front page of the ooc and read up on that. any more help, ask and ye shall receive! :3c

extremely hot and dangerous to the eyes; much like the sun.
now, it's important to know that quirks are not able to cause permanent damage. cannot leave a scar or break bones or anything like that. so extremely hot and dangerous is a bit.. too much. i recommend keeping the heat relatively low and perhaps if i think what you're saying is right (in which that the sword is as bright as the sun, and can damage a person's eyes) then that of course needs to be lowered too. maybe just a brief blind? like when you enter a really bright room after being in nothing but the dark?

various types of blades
what types? can you list them?
how many weapons he constructs.
so he can construct many weapons? what's his limit on that?
hmm from what i've seen regarding the quirk so far... it'd be pretty deadly if someone were to be impaled from it :S
Super Sunset Cross Blade Storm!!!
is he able to say that before or during the execution? sounds like a mouthful lolol

so far im not that sure about the quirk, but we can talk and work this out along with Idea Idea

but that's all the issues i'd like to bring up, which i've seen at the moment! might have missed a few, hopefully not >.< sorry for the wait i know you've been waiting a while
