Fandom Boku no Hero: Peace Sign Academia Characters

Idea Idea I rebalanced Waste Engine a little. It's now much less effective against things he's breathing in as compared to things he's ingesting, so he's not just immune to gaseous Quirks.
That´s ok, but do remember I stated in the announcements that you should make any changes to the CS without asking beforehand

them as well.
Personality: His personality was a subject of change throughout the years, but because of his experiences he has become a tough bastard. He is usually very blunt and will tell the truth even if It hurts. He doesn’t care about offending someone, or making them cry. If they can’t take the pressure, they can get out. That demeanor of his was the main concern of the school, but he promised that he’ll restrain himself as much as he can. He’s not being mean just to be mean though. Masaru deeply believes that self-improvement is a product of stress. Because of that, he rarely compliments anybody and will constantly demand more from his students. In dangerous situation however, his heroic side wakes up, and he's ready to sacrifice himself just so he can save one person. {S}
Personality needs expanding and considerably more flaws

Of course, during the first few years of his activity, he was treated as a villain, because he wasn’t an official hero.
No, he would be treated as a vigilante. Vigilantes are wannabe heroes, people to try to pull heroic actions, but don´t have a hero licence. They are still considered criminals, though.

After a long month, he was taken out for an interrogation. People who came there were so impressed by his achievements and dedication, that they decided to make him into a real hero.
That´s not how it works. You can´t just make someone into a hero like that. Usually, without graduation you can´t gain a hero licence at all, though there IS a way to become a hero without having had to attend a hero academia, and that is slowly working your way into gaining qualifications as a sidekick in a hero agency. But it´s nothing instant and I don´t think whoever "Interrogated" your character would be overly impressed by what could very well be a bunch of lies and bragging.

Quirk: Omni-mimicry – If he touches something with a bare part of his body, that part, or his whole body can turn into the material that thing is made of. So steel hardening if he touches steel, shock absorption if he touches sand or water, major pain in the ass for enemies if he ‘touches’ fire. One major rule of this quirk is that the effect starts in the exact place he touched, so he can’t turn just his legs into metal, if he touched something metal with his hand, as in that scenario, he would need to turn every part of his body before, just to get to the legs. That however, can be quite bothersome, not only because making his whole body into an element takes about 2 seconds (It’s almost instant in case of just limbs), which can be very crucial in some situations, but also because his internal organs don’t take such transformations too well, and after a couple of times (around 10 is his upper limit), he begins to experience internal hemorrhages. How long can he hold his transformation depends on the material; with simple things like stone or wood, he can go as far as 3 hours, more complicated things, like sand or water give him around 30 minutes to work with, and something very complex, like fire or electricity, give him 3 minutes max. And that’s just considering the situation in which he only turned his limbs. If he wants to hold the transformation of his entire body, his upper limits are halved at best. Another rule to his quirk is that he can’t change the element he’s copying too fast. He needs at least 15 seconds before he can turn into something else.
If this was a student, I´d say the quirk was a bit too strong, but since it´s a teacher I´ll be a bit more lenient. Please increase the time before he can transform into something new to 2 minutes.
One more thing I´d like to know, though, is what happens if he tries to do this ability touching another organic body, namely, what happens if that body has a quirk.

Name: Masaru Kurosawa
Nicknames: Sergeant
Hero Name: Changing hero, Chameleon
Age: 40
Gender: Male
What they will teach: Combat

Ignore the blood and the tattoo.

Hero Costume: A camo soldier uniform with a multitude of small elemental samples attached to various parts of it. Listing them all: Stone, sand, wood, metal, plastic, rubber, paper, glass, chitin and a single diamond. Small metal part is also situated inside of his shoes. Every part of the uniform, except the samples is made with Masaru’s hair, so that his quirk works on them as well.
Personality: His personality was a subject of change throughout the years, but because of his experiences he has become a tough bastard. He is usually very blunt and will tell the truth even if It hurts.Very rude to almost everyone he comes in contact with, so It's quite difficult to earn his respect. Another feature of his is that he's stubborn to the extreme and will always believe that he's right no matter the number of people that tell him otherwise. Will lash out on anybody who is lower rank than him and defies his orders and will do anything in his power to punish those, who don't care for education. He doesn’t care about offending someone, or making them cry. If they can’t take the pressure, they can get out. That demeanor of his was the main concern of the school, but he promised that he’ll restrain himself as much as he can. He’s not being mean just to be mean though. Masaru deeply believes that self-improvement is a product of stress. Because of that, he rarely compliments anybody and will constantly demand more from his students. In dangerous situation however, his heroic side wakes up, and he's ready to sacrifice himself just so he can save one person.
Likes: Cigarettes, alcohol, the smiles of people he saved, motivation
Dislikes: Being Idle, war, drugs, guns
Fears: War, failing someone.
Mannerisms: Cracks his knuckles frequently
Relationships:
His parents – Always very supportive of Masaru, even during the army and prison periods. He doesn’t visit them as often anymore.

Nanami Kurosawa – Masaru’s sister. They have a very close relationship, which includes them calling each other almost every week to talk about life and their everyday struggles. The only person that can make Masaru to really open up.
(Didn't write in the teachers as it's something I want to consult you about)

Backstory: He was born into a loving family as the youngest child (a year younger than his siblings). He and his siblings; brother Jun and sister Nanami were known as “The Kuro trio” by their peers. They were both feared and respected from a very young age, because of their quirks. His sister had something similar to Masaru, but including animals and his brother had a great shock absorption quirk. There were times when they used their power to bully some other kids, but that rarely happened, as Nanami was strongly against it, always defending the victims. That state of being continued until the end of high school, when they were all forced to decide on their careers. His sister chose voice acting, and his brother had what he said was “a calling” to serve in the military. Masaru, not really knowing what to do, decided that he’ll join he’s brother, as he was always an authority for him. The military was a living nightmare, so exactly like all the American movies he has seen with his brother, but it built his sense of responsibility and toughened him up, both physically and mentally. He and Jun were quickly advancing in terms of ranks and Masaru became a sergeant.

One day, he and his brother were on a mission, which ended in a failure and as a consequence, his brother, Jun died. Because of the long period of depression that followed after that, Masaru was forced to resign from the army and start a ‘normal’ life as a store clerk. No matter how hard he tried to live his new life to the fullest, it just wasn’t the same. Not only did the constant murmur of the same songs played over and over again was making him crazy, but also he was struck with an existential crisis about mortality and how god kills wrong people. He came to a conclusion that he has to be that someone who protects people from the wrongdoings of others. During daytime, he was working in the store, but during the nights, he would patrol the city in his old uniform. Of course, during the first few years of his activity, he was treated as a vigilante, because he wasn’t an official hero. He was finally caught and thrown to prison, because of his illegal activities. After a long month, he was taken out from it, by a Pro Hero named "Cyborg Soldier". He employed him in his agency and slowly, but surely Masaru has become a Pro hero himself.

Reason for becoming a teacher: The world is a rotten place, so it needs new heroes to fight of the evil and make earth into a better place. And somebody needs to show those young heroes the way.

Notable Feats as a hero:

Single-handedly taking down a mafia and capturing a drug baron.

Preventing the escape of a group of villains from the prison.

Being the first one to arrive and rescuing people from burning buildings many times throughout the years.

Hero Style: He’s at his best when dealing with the enemies in close combat, so he’s a great duelist. He can do some rescue work, but it doesn’t really suit him.

How he helped the school: Muscle-heavy construction work during the building phase, air vent testing.

He needs at least 2 minutes before he can turn into something else. Trying to use his quirk on living creatures will always end in failure. The one exception is when somebody's quirk works similar, so for example turns the user into metal. Touching that person is considered touching something metal and will allow Masaru to use his quirk normally.

Special Moves:
Air Mimicry – Masaru concentrates for a couple of seconds and changes his whole body into a gas that’s currently surrounding him. Due to the nature of air, he can’t just change one part of his body, so it’s all or none. It’s extremely difficult to stay in this state, so a minute is the upper limit.

Diamond is unbreakable – He touches a little diamond on his uniforms chest and gains its properties. Diamond, being the hardest and the most perfect mineral there is, makes him both an impenetrable shield and a deadly weapon. But it comes with a cost, as sustaining this form requires a huge amount of energy, so maintaining it for a minute or two is the best Masaru can do.

Five fingers death punch – Lights up his lighter and moves the flame to his elbow. His arms starts lighting up, but before it’s fully transformed, Masaru punches the enemy with a great force, so that it maintains the impact of a normal punch, but also burns the enemy after the initial force. This move is used very rarely as it’s very difficult to pull off, and because it gives nasty burns.

Items: His and his brother’s dog tags, His zippo lighter, a pack of cigarettes.

Skills/talents: He was taught basic Judo and kickboxing in the army, and by now he is really proficient at it.

Other:
He can use his own sweat to turn into water.
When he transforms his eyes, or ears, he has trouble seeing and hearing clearly.
He visits his brother’s grave at least once a week.

The personality wasn´t quite expanded enough, but I guess it´s somewhat passable. Approved!
(we will still discuss those other relationships, but the character is already in)

I kinda wanted to avoid putting both my characters in the same class, but so be it. Mentoring it is.
You can keep him in general studies if you want, I was just stating he seems to be a better fit for mentoring, because those are the ones that get more hero training and combat training.

Name: Shizuku Katsura
Nicknames: Shizu
Desired Hero Name: Orbweaver
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Chosen Extra Class: General Studies
Appearance:

Note: Shizuku actually has 4 pairs of legs, not 3! I accidentally drew her with 3 pairs the first time- the chibi underneath shows what she actually looks like.

GzLp5aB.png

GzLpDn5.jpg

(soon to be) Hero Costume: (drawing TBA) Shizuku’s hero costume is fairly simple, meant to make her as aerodynamic as possible while still giving her enough protection during a fight. The suit itself is made from the silk she produces, which is about as hard as steel. In addition, the silk is flexible and durable enough to act as a bullet-proof vest, similar to Jolyne Cujoh’s Stone Free in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. This does not mean that she is invincible to bullets or projectiles- the damage is just spread over a wider area, not in a single point.

Instead of being a generic white, she has dyed it a dark purple with black chrome accents and lines of silver to give it a more sleek appearance. It covers from her neck all the way to her feet, has openings for her spider legs on the back, and is skintight. She has gadgets attached to her wrists which gives her a little more control of her silk, as well as other capabilities as she develops her quirk. To protect her face, she wears a black mask that covers her eyes, with yellow goggles meant to look like bug eyes. These also have night vision capabilities, permitting her to see in dark spaces if needed.

Personality: Ask anyone who knows of or has heard of Shizuku and they can give you a perfect summary of her character: a spoiled, self-centered, stubborn brat who won’t stop talking. While it may be a shallow look into her personality, it covers the majority of the traits she expresses outwardly, especially her tendency to be critical of almost everything. She’ll loudly proclaim all the flaws of a person’s clothing, face, quirk, or whatever comes to her mind. If she doesn’t like the person, she will constantly belittle them by taunting them about every detail she has learned about them, always with a sly smirk on her face. Her vicious nature doesn’t cease until her ‘prey’ gives up or she becomes bored with teasing them. In addition to her judgmental nature, she also complains quite often, whether it’s about the food she’s eating or a villain’s costume. Things become worse if things don’t go the way she wants to- being raised with a silver spoon has caused her to expect everything to work out the way she wants to, when she wants to.

If her bratty nature isn’t enough to dislike her, her ego is so large to the point where she may be borderline narcissistic. She can go onto tangents about how amazing her quirk is, how much better she is than everybody else, etc. without stopping, unless she decides to change the topic or someone else does it for her. After all, her quirk has been praised constantly both at home and by her peers at the many schools she has attended, which is the only thing she held onto during all her years of moving. Shizuku cares immensely about her image, always making sure her appearance is perfect no matter where she is. Many all it childish, but she believes that if she wants to become a Pro Hero, she has to start by keeping her appearance neat and tidy, even in the face of evil.

Another key trait that Shizuku is known for is her extreme stubbornness. Whether it’s avoiding her schoolwork by playing video games, fighting an opponent with a strong advantage against her, or getting over a grudge, her will is so strong that she will blindly pursue her goal even if it means she will get hurt in the process.

However, Shizuku has developed this persona not because she wants to be remembered as ‘that snobby girl’, but because she does not want to become close to anyone. Throughout her childhood, she never made friends since she had to move about once every four months for her father’s business before the family settled down. People either avoided her because she looked like a freak or they were already in their own groups by the time Shizuku entered the class- she did try to include herself various times when she was younger, but each attempt ended miserably. Therefore, she developed the belief that only her elders, not her peers, deserved her respect, which is why she’ll use honorifics for her teachers or any other adult she meets.

Despite all her negative characteristics, there are some good traits about Shizuku. She is quite perceptive- combined with her ability to remain calm in most situations, she can easily assess her surroundings with ease. It’s quite easy for her to find places to use her quirk or spot potential places where her opponent could retreat to, so she can form traps ahead of time to (unwillingly) assist her teammates or catch them herself. In fact, she could probably easily be in the top five for academics in her class if she wasn’t particularly lazy- too bad she is.

Once one breaks through her abrasive personality and befriends her, she will show undying loyalty to them, defending them even if she knows they’ve done wrong. Her bratty outer shell eventually melts away, showing a gentler, and perhaps amicable, being inside. She may joke constantly and make little complaints here and there, but she does it out of love than distaste. Secretly, she hates being alone- friends are something she desires immensely.

Likes:
  • Validation/praise for whatever she does.
  • Sweets, particularly shortcake and Japanese cheesecake.
  • Huddling herself up in blankets while sitting under a kotatsu. Bonus points for turning on her favorite anime/movie.
  • Tangerines! She enjoys peeling them too.
  • Pulling pranks on people.
Dislikes:
  • Being asked if she eats bugs.
  • Dogs, especially big ones.
  • Humid weather.
  • Eating red meat (she enjoys fish).
  • Carbonated drinks.
Fears:
  • Pyrophobia: Shizuku DESPISES fire. While she doesn’t have any traumatic experiences with it as of yet, she’s deathly afraid of the destructive nature of flames, the way they turn everything to ash… Oh, the horror!
  • Being crushed to death.

Mannerisms: Tends to tap her right foot or her spider legs when she’s nervous. She also tends to comment on others appearances, usually to belittle them.

Backstory:
Shizuku’s family was always on the move due to her father’s business. They moved at least three times every year, travelling from the northern tip of Japan all the way to the bottom. Because of this, Shizuku had to transfer schools often, giving her little time to adjust as she moved from one luxury apartment to another. There were benefits from her father’s business, though, mainly in a material sense. She could get whatever gaming systems, makeup, food, and clothes (custom fit, of course) she wanted, so she wasn’t too bored with her life. However, her family was always too busy to care for her, with her mother working in her fashion line and her father travelling as a hero insurance agent. Lacking siblings and friends to spend her time, she grew up lonely and unloved, except for the rare occasions where her parents were home or the family took a vacation.

Eventually, though, the Katsura household settled down in Tokyo, in a luxury apartment deep in the heart of the city. Shizuku’s parents still work long hours, coming home at random hours in the night, but life had calmed down for the most part, which was really all she wanted. After finishing middle school she was finally able to achieve her dreams of trying to become a Pro Hero like her role models, Best Jeanist and the Pussycats, but instead of going to UA, her father had different plans for her.

He had taken interest in the new academy that had started up, more for business purposes than the future of his daughter. Her Quirk would take her places, no matter where she went, so he wasn’t worried about her future at all. Instead, he thought of it as an investment for the future: not only would the family name become even more respected- he could possibly grow his hero insurance firm if he played his cards right. Therefore, after weeks of endless fighting with his daughter, she finally gave in, and enrolled to Peace Sign Academy, regrettably. She still expresses her dissatisfaction daily, to pretty much everyone who gives her a chance.

Relationships:

Yuichi Katsura - father

Despite their constant bickering, Shizuku respects her father, and does make efforts to treat him well when he has a rare day off.

Kaede Katsura - mother

Kaede is more of a role model for Shizuku than a mother. Her pristine beauty is something the young girl wishes to obtain when she’s older, as well as the respect she has gained from the hero community.

Shigeo Katsura - grandfather

Shizuku has recently met her grandfather upon the family’s arrival to Tokyo- he’s probably the closest to her out of all her immediate family. When she’s not busy with school, she’ll usually go over to his house in Matsushima to hear more about the world before All Might and the many stories he has from his childhood.

Quirk:

Spider: The user has the traits and some physical features of a spider.

  • As simple as this sounds, the quirk gives Shizuku many qualities that are good for rescue and hero work.
  • For example, she has enhanced vision, allowing her to easily distinguish objects or people from a distance of 5 miles clearly.
  • She is also has enhanced agility, which she uses to dodge attacks, do acrobatics, etc. It’s quite convenient when she has a lot of space to work with.
  • Though she’s not a big fan of it, Shizuku can also produce acid at will- it’s not strong enough to burn a hole in something, but it’ll give a good sting if it makes contact with bare flesh. The feeling is similar to pouring lemon juice on an open wound.
  • The spider legs on her back can be used for fighting, although they are not particularly strong. They can be used to ‘stab’ at opponents, usually for their eyes since Shizuku only uses her legs for self-defense. She can probably scratch someone if needed as well.
  • And of course, the main part of her quirk: silk production. Unlike a regular spider, Shizuku does not have an abdomen to release silk. Her quirk has adapted to her wrists instead: spinnerets have formed in the middle of her wrists, with the glands inside of her arm. (Basically like Spiderman.) She can produce different types of silk, all for different purposes: an elastic, durable silk that is as hard as steel but can easily bent and twisted as needed, a stickier silk that acts as glue to capture people or objects, and a soft silk that can be used as a cushion.
  • Shizuku can use this to make nets for catching people, wrap people up, fly through the air by attaching it to objects, create traps- the possibilities are almost limitless. It all depends on her ability to think.
  • Despite the many possibilities her quirk can easily be overcome by simply burning her threads or cutting through them if the person she is fighting is strong or heavy enough. Her close-combat skills are also lacking, so forcing her to fight in a small range will leave her at a heavy disadvantage.
Special Moves:
String of Fate: [S}

Items: Shizuku was dismayed when she couldn’t bring all of her treasured belongings with her to Peace Sign, forced to bring only her most precious things and leave the rest at home. Other than the items she has brought to her room, she usually has these items inside of her school bag:

  • A bag of candy
  • Writing utensils stored in a pink pencil case
  • Her makeup bag, which also has a few bandaids
  • A portable game system w/ her favorite game
  • Her cellphone
  • Pocket-sized pictures of the Pussycats, Best Jeanist, and All Might (tucked away in the depths of her bag so no one can see)
Skills/talents:
  • Singing and dancing, though she’s a little shy about showing the latter.
  • Shizuku is quite flexible, perhaps borderline contortionist. Blame the genes.
  • A skilled liar, Shizuku can easily tell a white lie as if she was stating her name. Her only tell is a slight twitch in the corner of her mouth when she feels pressured. (She also has a killer poker face.)

Theme Song:

Other:

  • She really looks up to Best Jeanist for style tips and his cool disposition, while she (secretly) wishes to be as loved as Dragoon Hero.
  • Surprisingly, Shizuku is terrible at sewing clothes.
  • Her favorite Pussycat is Pixie-Bob.

People either avoided her because she looked like a freak
Dude, quirks are in 80% of calculation and like a third lead to some body deformation. NO ONE is gonna be avoiding because you look like this or that

which is why she’ll use honorifics for her teachers or any other adult she meets.
You mean she´ll ONLY use for those?

A skilled liar, Shizuku can easily tell a white lie as if she was stating her name. Her only tell is a slight twitch in the corner of her mouth when she feels pressured. (She also has a killer poker face.)
this skill is to be cut. There is no way to use this without powerplaying

Change the name of the quirk.

And I´m gonna need concrete limits for all those things

Kliffton Beid Jr.
I don't want to protect the forces of good. I want to help everyone and that means trying to switch the villains over to my side instead of locking them up.
Klifton Beid Jr.

Nicknames: Kliff
Desired Hero Name: The Vocaloid
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Chosen Extra Class: Support

Personality

Kliff is a true ambivert. He has no problems whatsoever during social situations and is always extremely polite and helpful to those around him. However, he has a tendency to not become close to other people, due to his preference for focusing on the things he loves to do

Kliff is also extremely intelligent and extremely creative, as well as hardworking and ambitious. Once he sets his sights on doing something, he does whatever he can to do them. Kliff is very passionate towards all art forms, and believes anything can be art if you make it. His favorite things to do are paint, dance, sing, play an instrument, watch a musical, play video gaes, watch anime, read manga, read books, cooking, and a lot of other stuff.

Despite his love for spreading the arts, which involves him getting in front of people all the time, as well as his dream to be a hero who can save everyone, including villains, Kliff doesn't like being the center of attention.

Kliff believes that all people are good, even villains, and that sometimes everyone can just be misunderstood. Because of this, he tries to become acquainted with everyone, though there are only a few people who he considers best friends. Whenever he helps someone out, he always feels like he's on top of the world.

Kliff has a tendency to jump from one thing to another in a second. He always has something on his mind, whether it's something deep and meaningful, something pratical and logical, or something downright silly. He is always coming up with new projects and spends all of his free time working on something. However, most of the times, he ends up starting something but not finishing it.

The few people he is close to can tell you that Kliff is extremely loyal, fun to be around, friendly, and helpful. To top it off, he's also funny and always making sure those he care about are okay. However, he does take a lot of things personally and is extremely hard on himself whenever he messes up. He also has a tendency to forget to do things because of how much his mind is racing, whether it's something small like brushing his teeth before going to bed, something important like forgetng to do his homework until the class period before it's due, and even some things that are extremely dangerous like looking both ways before crossing the street.

Kliff is also a hopeless romantic. He is constantly daydreaming about the perfect one for him and because of his sexuality of demihomosexual, he has a hard time starting relationships with people, especially if he's not extremely close to them.

Kliff is also very headstrong. He is confident enough in his abilities to know when he (thinks) right. Due to this, when people disagree with him, he has no problem arguing that his way is the best way. Of course, this works best when his way is the best way and it completely backfires when he turns out to be wrong. He is extremely stubborn and strongwilled, especially when his ideals are threatened and as such, many people end up disagreeing with him, which causes a few problems as well. Kliff also refuses to jail/prison villains he defeat without first checking if they are willing to change their ways and if they are, Kliff has no problem going against what society would have him do. Though if the villain, or anyone for that matter, were to break his trust and give Kliff a reason to go back to fighting the villain, Kliff will show no mercy.

Despite his intelligence, creativity, and hard work, Kliff also has moments of idleness. These moments usually strike whenever he feels overwhelmed and stressed out, and when he comes back to reality from a derealization trip. He also has a habit of just jumping straight into things or saying things without thinking which causes him a lot of trouble usually as it causes him to be brutally honest without taking enough regard to other 's feelings. This also translate to his actions as he tends to jump in without thinking first about the best course of action until he's in the midst of trouble. His rashness is multiplied tenfold when he's angry, as he becomes very prone to be an all around bitch to those that betray him. He also refuses to trust or forgive anyone whoever betrays him, unless they make it up to him.

Kliff is a bit moody as well. Whenever he tunes out of reality, he has a tendency of sudden mood swings when he comes back to reality, due to him experiencing things in his mind that feel real to him. On the topic of derealization, Kliff also has to take medication to suppress his sudden urges to zone out all the time, which is a side effect of his power.

Overall, Kliff is extremely hard to get to know but when you do get close to him, having him as a best friend is worth the trouble the process caused.

Sometimes he randomly starts humming or singing, especially when he's bored
Whenever irritated and/or annoyed, his nose starts twitching unconsciously

Backstory {S}

Relationships:
Jack Beid - Biological Father - Super Continuum - With his powerset, he can become stronger or faster at the expense of the other. As such, he was given enhanced speed and strength.

Clarrissa Beid - Biological Mother - Telekinesis - She can move objects and people with her mind.

Christopher Rexington - Adopted Father - Wolf Hybrid - Like a wolf, he is fast, has sharp teeth, has a tail and wolf ears, etc, etc.

Chisai Heki - Otakuyaki Otakuyaki - Closest Friend - After being adopted by Christopher, Kliff started Middle School. Chisai was his first friend and Kliff sees him as a brother he's never had. Kliff and Chisai first became friends because of the fact that they both had very similar interest and ideals. However, after Chisai's spat with his sister, along with his growth in maturity, Kliff actually developed a small crush on him due to the fact that he helped keep Kliff in line, whether it was reminding him about homework or bringing him back into reality after a derealization period. The biggest contributing factor to the crush was the fact that even though he seemed to scold some of Kliff's more immature moments, it was obviously because he was a friend and not out of dissapointment. Uncharacteristically of him, Kliff actually hasn't ever said anything about the crush and he doesn't plan on saying anything soon due to not wanting to risk their friendship.

Lian Shimizu - yuckeroni yuckeroni - Rivalry between Neighbors - Kliff and Lian are in a rivalry, although Kliff mostly entertains the rivalry just to make Lian "happy" since he'd prefer not to make his neighbor mad. Although he is always competing with Lian, Kliff sees her as someone important to him, although she probably doesn't feel the same way. Despite her personality, Kliff admires her due to her insistence and persistence to be #1. The only thing Kliff doesn't like about her is how picky she is about her food.

I'm open to relationships if anyone wants to talk about it.

Appearances Height : He's shorter than most people, standing at 5'2".
Weight : He only weighs 96 lbs. Due to most of the food he eats being used by his quirk, he has a VERY hard time gaining weight in the form of fat or muscle.

Hero Costume
Helmet

Halo-helmet1.jpg

There are two batteries in the back of the helmet that powers it. This helmet actually has three primary functions : Protection, Inspiration, and Communication.

Protection - Self Explanatory. The helmet is strong enough to withstand up to (Insert Attack Level Here) attacks and besides the whiplash and recoil, protects Kliff's head from major damage.

Inspiration - His helmet also has headphones built in. The headphones play music that is loaded onto a SD Card, which is also inserted into the helmet. Since singing makes Kliff the most powerful, this helps him come up with something to sing.

Communication - There is a microphone in the helmet that works as a cell phone. Once he inputs someone's information into his SD Card, he will be able to call them. However there is a range limitation, just like with regular cell phones. Kliff can also amplify his voice using the mic which is useful in many situations.

Bottom Half

Very basic. Just some black bottoms that don't have any function other than protecting him from both attacks and public decency laws.

Items: He NEVER goes anywhere without his Headphones and a Notebook full of sketches, song ideas, etc, etc. He also will usually be seen with a jacket on whenever he can get away with having one on.

Skills/talents: Singing, Dancing, Painting/Drawing/Most Visual Arts, Cooking, PLaying Violin & Trumpet
Kliff's Quirk

Psenergy Charge Times
Talking - Psenergy takes twice as long to charge than it usually does. (2X)
Humming (Sustained Pitch) - Psenergy takes shorter amount of time to charge than talking (1.75X)
Humming (Changing Notes) - Psenergy takes a noticeably shorter amount of time to charge compared to talking (1.5X)
Singing - Normal Rate (1X)

There are many other things that cause the vocal chords to vibrate, but these are the main four that Kliff uses.

Quirk Name : Psion's Voice

Brief Description : Kliff gains psionic abilities whenever he uses his vocal chords. Uses Psionic Energy or Psenergy to use his abilities.

What is Psenergy?

First of all, it is something I made up for the sake of the quirk. Second of all, it is psionic energy and Kliff needs it to use his abilities. Kliff gains Psenergy through eating and sleeping. Sleeping, however, is usually out of the question due to Kliff's insomnia. Once he eats or sleeps, the amount of psenergy he has available increases. However, it is basically locked in a cage inside his body. However, when his vocal chords move, the psenergy leaves the "cage" and travels freely throughout his body. Once outside of the cage, the Psenergy increases Kliff's speed and strength, and also gives him the abilities of telekinesis and telepathy.

Limitations - Psenergy

1. The max amount of Psenergy Kliff can use is directly linked towards how much he ate recently. (Psenergy is similar to radioactive elements because it has a Half Life. It takes 2 hour for half of whatever Psenergy Kliff has built up to disappear.) Every 100 calories = 1 extra second of maximum time. Although he would most likely never reach this amount, 50000 calories is what he would need to eat to be able to even attempt reaching his maximum of 5 minutes.

2. As soon as his vocal chords starts moving, the psenergy that has left the cage literally starts racing back towards the cage. It always moves faster back towards the cage then it doesn't leaving the cage (2X faster) (Ex. If it takes 4 seconds for Psenergy to leave the cage, it takes 2 seconds for Psenergy to return to the cage)

Limitations on Abilities

*Note : He becomes more powerful at a constant rate not an exponential rate*

Super Strength

The strongest he can become is 10X stronger than he already is. Mathematically, it would take him 5 minutes of nonstop usage of his vocal chords to reach this level.

Super Speed

The fastest he can become is 8X faster than he already is. Mathematically it would take him 5 minutes of non stop usage of his vocal chords to reach this level.

Telekinesis

He can lift up to 50 times his strength when fully charged. It would take him 5 minutes of non stop usage to reach this amount.

He also has an area limit. The maximum area he can control objects in is 50 feet away, but it'd take 5 minutes of nonstop usage to reach this limit.

Limitations due to Kliff's Body

Kliff, as of beginning the RP can only use his vocal chords non-stop for 1 minute and 42 seconds. However, that was under controlled conditions where Kliff was only trying to charge his psenergy.. The highest he's gone in a situation resembling a battle is 53 seconds.

Also, if Kliff isn't fighting on a full stomach then he can completely run out of psenergy before the battle ends.

Also, changing methods of charging (Ex. Talking ---> Singing) in the midst of battle makes Kliff sicker and sicker each time he does it, though how sick is completely random, though it can range from a small cough to a deathly serious disease.

Special Moves
Kinetic Attack - He launches himself towards his opponent and if he gets close enough, he unleashes a barrage of punches and kicks. It is more effective if he's charged for at least 45 seconds.

Idea Idea
Is this good or do you want me to change anything.

Also, I'm just going to make this one character.

Overall, Kliff is extremely hard to get to know but when you do get close to him, having him as a best friend is worth the trouble the process caused.
This personality is seriously underflawed, please add some serious flaws

Relationships:
Jack Beid - Biological Father - Sleeping Gas - He can emit a smell that causes objects and living things to sleep/shut off.

Clarrissa Beid - Biological Mother - Ghost - She can make herself and other people invisible and while in this form, she can teleport herself and others to anyplace within 20 feet of her.

Christopher Rexington - Adopted Father - Wolf Hybrid - Like a wolf, he is fast, has sharp teeth, has a tail and wolf ears, etc, etc.
Quirks are either inherited or they are a mix of their parent´s quirks- the quirks listed here have 0 to do with one another or with your character´s quirk, so no can do.

How is this a special move? Special moves are quirk-based

And your skills are nowhere to be found

OK. I'll go back to the drawing board.

Quirks are either inherited or they are a mix of their parent´s quirks- the quirks listed here have 0 to do with one another or with your character´s quirk, so no can do.

All Quirks? -Does more research on quirks- Oh. Well, I guess you learn something new everyday. I'll change it to a quirk marriage between the two.

I guess I didn't make myself clear enough. He uses telekinesis to launch himself towards the enemy. Either way, I'm going to change it.

And your skills are nowhere to be found

The Skills, alongside The Items, are underneath the Hero Costume to be.

On the other hand, if you meant that those aren't acceptable skills, please specify.

I added to it. Could you check it again?

I changed them. The father has speed and strength and the mother has telekinesis. Kliff's quirk literally took both powersets and made it his own, as he's actually a psion NOT a user of telekinesis, super strength, and super speed.

I´m a bit iffy on that to be honest. You see the point of personality flaws is them being explorable to make your character go through character arc AND just as importantly, to create an inner weakness that can make your character fail regardless of power levels.

The problem with the way you worded that personality is that while it´s not downright contradicting itself, I´m having a hard time seeing those flaws come in play because the way they are written seems so underwhelming compared to the qualities that I´m not sure you´d ever put it in pratice.

Let me try to clarify
You tell me this guy is
*extremely intelligent AND creative
*hardworking
*friendly
*helpful, fun to be around and loyal
*also sociable, but that´s not even that meaningful since you kinda HAVE to interact in a roleplay... SO I guess this one isn´t much of a problem

However, if you look at that, there´s NOTHING your character is inherently bad at. All the basis for which there could weaknesses naturally are already covered up with "character is good". This doesn´t mean it can´t pass, but it means that the artificially created weaknesses need to be on a similar "level" so to speak.

But what we get is
hopeless romantic- technically a flaw, but also meanignless in 99.99% of the situations

doesn´t like being the center of attention- I struggle to call this a flaw, and despite how often I see it, I never once seen anyone live up to it in my life

Believes everyone is good and refuses to send people to jail because of it- this is a belief, not a part of one´s personality, it is consciously accepted or not. And even if it was a personality trait, it wouldn´t be a flaw. And if it was a flaw, it would be meaningless because your character isn´t anywhere close to being a pro hero

headstrong in his beliefs- not headstrong in general, just in his beliefs, meaning the thing that I described above as meaningless is what he is being headstrong about, making this one also meaningless

"has moment of idleness" and "can be a bit moody sometimes"- even if I ignore the somewhat vague nature of these statements (yes, I know you do explain them a BIT afterwards), the fact is you state here it may happen rather than it will means that these may not even get to apply when the chips are down. When your character actually gets in a big fight or a villain attacks, these flaws may just up and vanish all of the sudden. Now, are you the kind of person who would do this? I can´t say. And because I can´t say, I´m hesitant to take such a risk, because me approving this the way it is would mean I can´t reasonably ask you to change it later.

lastly "he holds grudges"- this one is actually a real flaw and from the description a potentially very serious one, but it does have the conditional someone has to betray his trust

So, I have one to three real flaws two of which may or may not actually come into play, compared to an overwhelming majority of qualities that cover pretty much every base. In short, while what I read is technically not a gary stu , it seems far too likely that in pratice the character will be played as one.

To be fair, the hardworking led to the intelligence and creativity.

Fair enough

Easy fix then. I'll make him completely headstrong. He is confident enough in himself to know when he's right and will back his ideas and actions to the ends of the earth.

"has moment of idleness" and "can be a bit moody sometimes"- even if I ignore the somewhat vague nature of these statements (yes, I know you do explain them a BIT afterwards), the fact is you state here it may happen rather than it will means that these may not even get to apply when the chips are down. It can be arranged. The moments of idleness will be a bit easier to pull off than the moodieness, but I have a fix for the moodiness that will make it not only a very visible character flaw but also make for some interesting interactions between him and other people if you allow it.

In real life, the medical condition known as derealization can usually be cured by doing something to bring the person back to reality including but not limited to pinching them or placing something hot or cold on them and they can be decreased in frequency by taking medication. However, periods of time when they occur are still a bit random, so if allowed, I could give Kliff a very advanced case of it where it happens at the very least 5 times a day with medication, meaning if he were to forget to take it one day, he could have an abnormally large amount. If at least one of them were to happen in the middle of a battle, Kliff would be in a very disadvantageous position, especially if in the midst of a real battle against villains (which isn't coming up for a while, correct?)

Not to mention the fact that it makes everyday life a pain as well.

lastly "he holds grudges"- this one is actually a real flaw and from the description a potentially very serious one, but it does have the conditional someone has to betray his trust

I understand what you're saying but I just want to point out that there are a few flaws you didn't include in your evaluation

  • He acts before thinking
  • He's very blunt
  • He loses focus and interest in things quickly.
  • He's self depreciating when he fails.
  • He forgets to do things very easily.
I apologize if you weren't able to notice these due to my writing style. My teachers tell me I have a habit of not being clear enough.[/QUOTE]

  • He acts before thinking
  • He's very blunt
Despite his intelligence, creativity, and hard work, Kliff also has moments of idleness. These moments usually strike whenever he feels overwhelmed and stressed out, and when he comes back to reality drom a derealization trip. He also has a habit of just jumping straight into things or saying things without thinking which causes him a lot of trouble usually as it causes him to be extremely blunt without taking enough regard to other 's feelings. His rashness is multiplied tenfold when he's angry, as he becomes very prone to be an all around bitch to those that betray him. He also refuses to trust or forgive anyone whoever betrays him, unless they make it up to him.
  • He loses focus and interest in things quickly.
Despite this, when he finds a long term project, he ALWAYS completes it IF he plans on completing it, as long as he remembers to work on it.
  • He's self depreciating when he fails.
  • He forgets to do things very easily.
