Argead
Habs a long time ago on FeralFront
Hey everyone! Sorry, this took so long to get up, it has been a busy night for me so far.
So far for those interested in participating, I have:
1. Argead I'll be playing Silas whose form is now below, and some background characters
2. PlusUltra
3. SeaTea
4. SAIGO-NO-HEATS
5. nh1
6. Talathel
7. GasMaskie
8. Historia Calamatium
If interest swells or wanes I will add more names to the list above, there is a decent amount of room in the roleplay if people are interested more in playing villains or non-students.
One quick thing on character creation, In the past, I have tried integrating teams into roleplays like how they are in the show (ie. JNPR ) if there is an interest in doing teams like in cannon then I am open to trying again but in the past, they have proven difficult and tend to cause issues and confusion. If people would prefer not to then we can likely find a way without them.
Finally here is the character sheet:

The time period of the roleplay will be approximately 15 years after the end of the Great War or approximately 65 years before the start of the show to give us some extra wiggle room with things to avoid stepping on the toes of the show's story and to reinforce that feeling of rapid change being resisted by the forces of old in a sort of real-world interwar period or industrial revolution type of deal where new freedoms enable for more movement and more challenges against the old guard of the nobility. The roleplay will largely be taking place in Haven and the Greater Kingdom of Mistral. I will make sure to get the first of the blurbs up tonight but they are by no means required to be read to enjoy the roleplay or the world and are just fluff/background explanations. Everything will be shown at one point or another and not just told. For the purpose of now though the Kingdom of Mistral is largely decentralized into powerful and diverse subservient duchies, republics, and cities which are nominally represented with seats on the nascent council system which was introduced by Ozpin's predecessor the King of Vale following his victory in the Great War. The three major regions are the North, which is largely dominated by the Duchy of Makon(Warlike and based largely on the Greek side of Mistral we see in the show),, the South which is dominated by the Republic of Liguria(A mercantile naval and ex-colonial power) with the last but most important portion of the kingdom being Mistral and her colonies. Feel free to have your character be from wherever you like both foreign and domestic to Mistral.

Name: Silas Aurum
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Semblance: The ability to turn anything he touches into a cursed gold that brings misfortune for those who carry it. The semblance also has a pretty hefty recoil depending on the size and makeup of the object Silas wishes to turn to gold, the larger the object the more taxing it is on Silas. The semblance is also unable to affect those who possess an awakened Aura. This process can also be undone by water.
Aura: Gold
Weapon: A four-foot-tall Poleaxe Silas inherited from his father who insists that the weapon has quite the history. Nicknamed "Tsekouri" the poleaxe is able to shift into a bayonetted bolt action rifle. The spearhead also is able to be fired as a grappling hook from a button near the midsection of the weapon's shaft. Engraved on the axehead of the weapon is a faded coat of arms and a wordless banner.
Personality: Silas' personality closely mirrors that of the stereotypical rich kid's, rude and a bit arrogant at times and occasionally just downright unpleasant to be around. With that comes his favorite pastimes: practical jokes and pranks, though he seems to have a very firm and visible line regarding how far his pranks will go. Silas has set up this facade in an attempt to drive those around him away, as he believes that being around him is a death sentence due to past events in his life. Once one gets to know him a little better, however, they will find that under the tough exterior that Silas has set up for himself, he hides a heart of gold, caring deeply for his friends and allies well being.
Brief background: Born into a broken military family, Silas had a rough early childhood of poverty, misfortune, and occasionally less than legal activities. Forgotten by the Mistral elite after every war, the soldier class of society typically lay near the bottom of the food chain and thus near the bottom level of Mistral. As such, Silas' family was poor and had difficulty making ends meet. His father was a drunkard who worked two jobs and his mother was a bartender in less than safe places. As such, when Silas was ten, he began to participate in local pick-pocketing groups and over time became extremely adept at it, but no matter what he could bring home, it didn't help. His father was obsessed with something he named "the family gift" and as such activated Silas' aura at age 13 and began to train him using old mock polearms, always bringing Silas to the edge of his breaking point. At age 14, his father was rewarded in his efforts when Silas after one of their spars turned his polearm into gold in rage. Over the next few years, the family saw a gradual ascension in wealth and status due to Silas' semblance. Disaster after disaster struck however wherever the newly acquired gold was spent, freak accidents and Grimm attacks being the most common amongst these disasters. Eventually, his parents sent him away for his protection, or perhaps their own, to various boarding schools where the male grew out of his criminal phase. At age 18 he has decided to try to find purpose in life as one of the new emerging forms of protectors; a Hunter.
