Races
Most fantasy races can be found here, ranging from mermaids to harpies, elves to dwarves, vampires to werewolves, etc. I will not allow celestial races, e.g. angels and or demons. If you'd like to create your own race that would be fine, as long as you run it by me first. Racial discrimination is not too uncommon and can be found almost everywhere in some minor shape or form(e.g. fights, gossip), but most are fine with co-existing with each other peacefully.

The Kingdom of Alrysta/The Alrystan Kingdom
A land once known for it's thriving, competitive trade and incredible wealth, leading to dazzling decor and luxurious lifestyles. Despite those times being a mere relic of the past, its economic situation was still the pride of the king. That was until, the Blind Scourge came. Once the plague had passed, and whilst the citizens were still recovering from the lingering scent of death in the air, the king increased the taxes, hoping to regain a little bit of the kingdoms former glory. Protests were shut down almost immediately, the Alrystan ruler beginning to rule with an oppressive iron fist. Many citizens have begun having pessimistic thoughts on their ruler and the kingdom as a whole due to this.

The kingdom is ruled by an absolute elven monarchy, currently controlled by a lone king. The only heirs he has, birthed by the late queen, are a pair of twins, one prince and one princess. Although borderwise, the land owned appears significant in size, a large proportion of it is made up of barren deserts(to the south) or dangerous mountains(near the north). The nation still relies heavily on trade(mainly importing raw goods to process into more expensive products for exportation) to stay afloat, due to a lack of farmland for cattle and crops. Incredible craftsmen can be found here, mainly proud lineages leftover from when the kingdom was still a thriving marketplace.

The capital city, Rystel, is located on a stretch of plain grassland. Hills are dotted around closeby, with solitary buildings of rest found alongside the main winding road that passes across them. Flowery meadows inhabited by many fae races can be found further east, which was often a tourist destination in the past. Tall marbled brick walls of cream and silver surround the city, the same stones being used to build the castle located at its center, which is decorated with shining jewels of emerald. The streets are lined and laid expertly, as well as most of the buildings, but a quiet and mellow atmosphere surrounds the area.

The Kingdom of Xudol/The Xudolian Kingdom (WIP - not too important at the moment)
A land once known to be the thriving opposite or counterpart to Alrysta, a place where raw goods were expertly collected and maintained for exportation. The nation is abundant with fertile land and wildlife, with a much larger population than their neighbouring kingdom.

Magic
Magic requires a keen, intuitive and diligent mindset. Although it is relatively common and easy to learn how to summon a small flame under a heating pot, or lower the temperature of your tea, it is much harder to be able to use it significantly enough for battle. Delving into one element, such as fire, water, lightning is difficult enough and requires significant practice to simply cast a fireball or thunderstrike. Multiple elements will require intense training, as trying to learn an element different to your original can make you unaccustommed to your original again. Magically-adept soldiers are uncommon, considering they would have to take time away from their weapon training and usual regime to also study magic. Battle mages however, are dedicated practitioners of the art, usually of a single element, and are a staple in most armies. You cannot learn magic that delves into life/death such as necromancy or healing/reviving.

Dragons
These creatures were once revered as the worlds gods, but now have become common enough to become pets/mounts for almost anyone. As sentient and highly intelligent creatures, they speak in their own draconic language that only their kind can understand. They can come in many different subspecies, from the classic four-legged western dragon, the serpent-like short-legged eastern dragon(no wings but slithers through the air at the fastest speeds despite being poor on land), the wing-less and therefore flight-less drake which has the fastest speed on land, and the wyvern which has the fiercest claws despite having its wings attached to its arms. Their wielded breath can come in many different elements, from the classic raging fire, to lightning strikes, to a freezing mist, etc. However, it takes a significant amount of time to build up enough of the element in the dragons core in order to unleash it as an enveloping breath, and tends to tire out the creature too.

Bonding
Bonding can occur with any creature, and can allow a pair of two very different species to communicate telepathically. This links their souls together spiritually, hence they can somewhat feel where each other are most of the time, as well as vaguely sense each others emotions. One can only have one bond at a time. The bonding process is very vague, as there is no concrete way on how to do it. Most of the time, it occurs when the pair have developed a deep mutual sense of trust and belief in each other. The bonded pair then develop a matching mark on their bodies, signifying they have bonded if they had not realized already. If one of the bonded pair dies, the other is hit with a deep sense of loss due to their spiritual link being broken, and typically enter a long period of mourning to recover. They are left with the mark from the broken bond, but it fades as the owner begins to forget/lose clear memories of their lost partner. Although it is uncommon, it is therefore possible to have multiple bond marks on ones body, from lost partners and the mark of their current partner.
