What Charlie wants, Charlie gets. She stops at little to reach her typically large goals and once she has something in her mind, it is difficult for her to change it. While this helps with keeping her focused and on task, she can become hyper-fixated and become lost in the pursuit. Charlie also doesn't know when to just let things go and move on, having great difficulty in knowing that she can't fix everything. It takes someone talking sense into her for Charlie to eventually call something quits.

Sometimes, Charlie's personality and desires can go sporadic. They change rapidly with little to no thought behind them. Charlie can be incredibly impulsive, acting on a whim when something comes into her mind. She's always safe and, for the most part, careful, but that doesn't mean that this unpredictability hasn't gotten her into trouble before. Charlie likes to have fun, it can be difficult for her to find the line before she's crossed it. Charlie is also an emotional girl who allows her emotions to completely rule her actions and can sometimes act very impulsively if she is upset or angry.

Charlie isn't the best team player. She has difficulty working with others and much prefers to work on her own, to march to the beat of her own drum. There are a select few people that mesh very well with Charlie so when she finds them, she tends to work with them repeatedly to reduce the drama that can come with Charlie being overly independent.

Charlie doesn't sugarcoat things. She sees the world as it is: messy, broken, difficult. While this helps Charlie keep a level head and to keep her humble, it also makes her sort of bad at being sensitive when giving advice. Charlie is known by many people for being smart, both academically and in general day-to-day life. Filled to the brim with wit, Charlie has a sharp tongue and an even sharper mind. She excels in school, often taking her spare time to help tutor other students when she isn't hitting the book herself. Charlie prides herself on her 4.0GPA that she will do anything to maintain, partially because of the pride but also because of her scholarship. No one has bigger goals for themselves than Charlie. She's always thinking seventeen steps ahead, always ready for the possibility of a possibility. Sure, she gets overwhelmed sometimes from putting way too much pressure on herself but with great goals comes great responsibility (or something like that).

Don't let her small size fool you, Charlie far tougher than she looks. Charlie is known for calling people out on their shit and the threats she makes are followed up by action where needed. Piss her off enough and her bite becomes as bad as her bark (see: Chas's tooth, or lackthereof). Growing up with four older brothers has helped her become the sort of strong person she is, though being tough doesn't mean that people can't get to her. Petty comments usually aren't enough to get under her skin but keep at her for long enough and a comment can take over Charlie's mindset. She rebounds fairly quickly as long as guilt isn't involved in the situation.

Charlie knows when to be serious and when to have fun. And when its time to have fun, Charlie goes full out. She's a playful individual by nature, always seeming to be joking around and making the best out of boring situations. She loves to see people being happy and having fun so Charlie often includes people wherever she can. A genuinely kind and extroverted individual, Charlie loves parties and having friend groups to rotate between to keep her on her toes.

Charlie May Howell was born to barista Margery Howell in the brutishly cold winter of 1999. Charlie grew up in a small two bedroom apartment above a shop in town, raised solo by her mom, and spent her days playing in the farmers fields and stealing apples off trees. A bright child, Charlie skipped third grade to be allowed to progress through her education faster. Quickly, Charlie became known as a quite popular and well known girl in the town of Rosewood Heights. High school brought some change for Charlie. Her mother remarried to a lovely man named Keith and the three moved into a small house on the edge of town. Charlie settled in well to the upper levels of education, joining several sports teams and eventually graduating at the top of her class.
Upon graduation, Charlie made the difficult decision to leave her home and continue her education at Princeton. Charlie studied biochemistry and eventually got both her undergraduate and her masters degree. She was aiming for her medical doctorate when she heard about 14th Avenue and the bullshit that Summit was pulling. Deciding to take a break from her academic endeavours, Charlie moved back home and into 14th Avenue.

Jude is a crippling introvert. Though known well in the public and he tends to be popular amongst the groups that he runs with, Jude has never really been one that makes first moves. He worries about how he comes across and frequently takes time to think over his words and actions, leaving him quite quiet. This also didn't get any better once he lost his hearing.

Jude has seen some things that has left him feeling very poorly about the state of humanity. He believes that most people, when given the choice, will hurt others. He's seen senseless cruelty that makes the world seem dark and cruel, his own pain stomping out any glimmer of hope he had left for society as a whole. Jude tries to see the best in people and he will never assume someone is a bad person, but he is simply never surprised when he is let down or when someone shows their true colours.

Being a rancher and animal rescuer/rehabilitator means that Jude is constantly on the clock. Never the type of guy to just sit around, Jude can always be found doing something and never seems to tire. Some people admire his work ethic, others think that it will eventually be his downfall. Jude never seems stressed by his enormous workload but being so busy means that he has little time to relax or take care of himself beyond the day to day tasks that keep him alive and healthy.

Jude feels responsible for everyone, like he must be available to fix every issue and that any bump in the road could be avoided if he just tries a little harder. Not an anxious man that worries for no reason, Jude seems to simply want to protect everyone. Regardless of how he feels, though, Jude will always be there for you.

Jude is a careful man and he understands that good things come to those who work and wait for it. Massive life changes can't happen overnight and thus, Jude knows when to step back and support and motivate for the long run. Jude is always in it for the long run.

More than anything else, Jude is known for his gentlemanly attitude. A very respectful and welcoming man, Jude is known around town for his random acts of kindness and sweet demeanor. Despite his openness and receptivity to change, Jude is actually quite a traditional man. Much like his father, Jude believes that he as a man has certain ideals that he must uphold. He must be kind, courteous, must respect everyone regardless their walk of life, must work hard and never expect handouts. He believes in holding doors open and pulling out chairs and listening to people unconditionally never going on a date without flowers. This makes him socially a bit conservative, never really being the one for hookups or flings or meaningless friendships, but the relationships he does have are very strong. Jude is also the type to uphold family and community traditions, believing that they make a community so much stronger when they are upheld.

Jude's loyalty can never really be questioned. It is clear where Jude's loyalties lie and who he is devoted to. The youngest child of three, Havana grew up in an upper-middle class family, eldest brother Joey was destined for great things and Beatrice had a knack for making a bad situation decent...
Havana was always seen as the "problem" child, although her heart was always in the right placeโshe was, and still is, an adventurous spirit. Her parents and siblings had learned not to contain her. Whatever Havana set her mind to, she would do, and that was that. Of course, none of this happened without any repercussions. She was a social butterfly in high school, if not on good termsโusually acquaintances with those she knew of. She was an avid volunteer and heavily involved in her community. Rosewood Heights, in the small, but quaint town that it was, felt like an extended family.
It was sophomore year when she met the love of her life. Jude Matthews was her everything; he somehow made the days brighter and the nights longer. She opted out of college, much to her parents' dismay and worked odd jobs that barely paid her cell-phone bill. Those jobs never lasted, but she was insistent that everything happens for a reason.
A friend had pushed her into looking into freelance jobs and Havana had actually started to make a decent living after graduation. It was around then when Jude enlisted, they didn't think twice about getting married. Time apart had taken a toll on them more than Havana would care to admitโand they amicably decided to get a divorce.
They were just kids who rushed into it all a little too quickly, and the hurt lingered a little too slowly. She needed a new start. Havana had always dreamt of traveling, and before her divorce, she had something to stay for. She owed it to herself to separate Rosewood Heights from her own narrative. Amidst the quaint streets and familiar faces, there was an entire world left unexploredโ so, she borrowed her parents' RV (with permission) and left.
In the last three years, she'd only grown her portfolio, explored countless states, feelings, and relished in the short-term relationships she didn't ever think she'd be capable of outside of Jude. She was successful, happy, evenโ in some kind of messy way. Though, the news of Summit Developing tearing down the place she considered home, threatened to take that all away.
Havana decided it was time to go back to basics and move back home.
Rosewood Heights needed all the help it could get.

Scarlett, widely known as @LittleMissFeminist, wasn't always an influential figure in today's media.
Born to Emily and Miguel Duvall, โDanielโ grew up with three older sisters. Being the only boy, there were many expectations from their parentsโall of which began to take a toll on Daniel at the ripe age of eleven.
It wasn't easy figuring out what was missingโwhat felt wrongโbecause in truth, everything about himself felt wrong. He wasn't very popular in high school. Not popular at all, in fact. Daniel was either invisible or just the boyfriend of Camilla.
Sixteen years of living just to feel like you're living somebody else's life; something had to change. Daniel came out to his parents. His parents, who were very religious and very strict, often visualized him as something he wasn't. It wasn't until he turned 18 that he was kicked out. He stayed with friends until graduation, telling nobody the real reasonโonly going as far as to say he got into a fight with his parents.
Thankfully, the grades had spoken for themselves, and Daniel got a scholarship to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and majored in marketing.
it was sometime freshman year that Daniel had gotten enough courageโ and it all started with a name change.
Now on the West Coast and far from her family and peers in Vermont, Scarlett Duvall was finally free to be herself.
There was only so much insurance could pay for. Gaining the idea from a digital marketing class, Scarlett started documenting her transition on social media. Albeit taken aback from her success, she became an influencer. It wasn't long until she had gathered enough money for surgeries that spanned her entire college years.
It wasn't easy. She'd gone through most of it alone. But for the first time, she felt comfortable in her own skinโfor the first time, she wasn't invisible.
Scarlett holds a pretty big distain for Rosewood Heightsโ so when Summit Vision Developing, reached out to her with a job she was hesitant to take it.
โฆ but the prospect of demolishing the last remnants of who she used to be felt like the closing chapter she needed.

Meredith has a big heart that she finds easy opening up to most anyone. She seems to have a way of finding the good in almost anyone even when they sometimes show her sides of them that should put her off. She tends to give out chance after chance though once she cuts you off, it's really hard to gain her trust again.
Mer is companionate and nurturing especially when it comes to children and animals - she has a super soft spot for both and they seem to gravitate towards her too. She has always dreamt of having a big family.
She honestly hates confrontation and prefers to avoid it at all costs if she can. She isn't overly-shy or anything, in fact she's very much outgoing, but she just doesn't like to be in the middle of the drama.
Mer is very much a mom-friend seventy-five percent of the time. It isn't uncommon for her to be picking up after one of her friends or making sure they get breakfast after a night of drinking. This does sometimes make her easy to manipulate or somewhat naive in certain situations.

Sam has absolutely no filter, he says whatever comes to his mind with brutal honesty. He doesn't get the concept of "there's a time and a place," for him, any time or place if for him to speak his mind, even if it's a bit uncalled for. This can sometimes hurt others, but Sam doesn't think he's in the wrong as long as he's being honest. He carries himself with the utmost confidence, coming across as kind of cocky. It's all a shield to distract from the fact that he doesn't think he's good enough. Part of the reason he embraces honesty, even when he knows it's rude, is to drive people away before they can choose to give up on him, giving him a self sabotaging nature. However, he hates being completely alone and is very social. He's impulsive and reckless, doing whatever he thinks sounds fun in the moment. He can be a bit of an instigator, he enjoys watching petty drama unfold and pushing people's buttons.He's also a massive flirt, will unapologetically hit on anyone both because he isn't picky at all and finds a lot of people attractive and because he likes to get a reaction out of people. Really creative, he has a lot of out there ideas, but will sometimes keep them to himself because he's afraid people will think they aren't any good. Deep down, he's more sensitive than the confident, brutally honest guy he paints himself out to be. Aside from all the flirtations and one night stands, he is a bit of a hopeless romantic and should he find himself in a deeper relationship he'll be shockingly considerate. Sam was born in Rosewood Heights. His family was solidly middle class and pretty uptight, focusing on rules and structure. His parents wanted their children to be model citizens, doing everything by the book. Sam's older brother was the golden boy, smart, disciplined, boring- everything their parents wanted. Sam was always the rogue child, getting into trouble. He grew thick skin, always being yelled at by his parents and other authority figures, never giving in to the discipline. It just made him double down on his troublemaking tendencies, knowing his parents would never be pleased he just decided it was fun to see how far he could push them. He talked pack frequently, and his parents begun to get even more harsh on him, but gave up on trying to make him comply, outright saying he was the disappointing child but leaving him to get into trouble on his own.
So, Sam lived life as he wanted. He was always social, but the public opinion of him was mixed. To some he was just a fun, flirty, reckless boy, and he befriended those who could tolerate him. Others thought he was bad news, and extremely rude to boot, so they stayed away from him. In school, he never did too well. He definitely wasn't dumb, he just was never focused. He actually did pick up both reading and writing as hobbies, he adored exploring how he could use words to express himself, but he never did these things academically, only for pleasure. In his teen years, he was mostly focused on flirting. He developed a bit of a fuckboy reputation, becoming unvolved with many girls and guys. While his parents had given up on him, since his brother had moved away for college he did have more eyes on him. His parents were extremely conservative. Finding Sam in his room making out with a guy was their last straw. After a lot of shouting, their huge fight ended in Sam being kicked out.
After being kicked out, Sam spent a couple weeks couch surfing before making an extremely impulsive choice. He dropped out of high school and decided to just go to New York. He'd been working at the grocery store for a while, and had some money saved up, so he was able to rent a tiny apartment with three other people. He wanted to be a writer, so the starving artists he found himself amongst in New York suited him well. The next few years were exciting for him, but they kind of wore him out. Zoe was born in Rosewood Heights. Though they loved their daughter, her parents were always busy with work, running their own dental practice. Zoe spent a lot of time with her grandmother, who also lived in Rosewood Heights, a sweet but tough woman who taught her to value kindness and intellect. Brought up to be a rational girl, Zoe has always had a good head on her shoulders. She was always ahead of the curve, among the smartest students even in her youngest years of school. Still, she was always quiet and didn't have too many friends. For some unexplainable reason she found herself nervous about how people would perceive her, so she kept her head down. The friends she did have she valued though, and became very close to a select few.
After middle school, Zoe's parents made the decision to sell up their practice and move to Boston, where her mother had been offered a professorship. So, during her high school years she left her life in Rosewood Heights behind. It was difficult for her to readjust after the move, her shyness left her lonely for a bit, but she made due. She was at the top of her class academically and made some friends through being a great study buddy. As university approached, she ended up getting a full ride to Yale, where she ended up going to study psychology. She likes knowing how people function, and her area of study allows her to better understand others and herself.
She never really did the whole partying it up at uni thing, she was a workaholic, always focused on her academics. She connected with like minded intellectual individuals, still never quite reaching a lot of popularity. She didn't date too often, finding herself focusing on school and neglecting relationships even when she did like someone, which is something she kind of regrets. She ended up graduating as one of the top of her class.
Zoe considered going to grad school, but decided to take a break from the academic grind. At the age of 21, she decided to move back to Rosewood Heights, the town of her childhood, to live with her grandmother. She got a job as a secretary at town hall and that's where she's been ever sense. She keeps saying she'll do to grad school eventually, but she enjoys the calm, stable life she has now so she keeps putting it off. She loves this town, and wants to protect it, but also is afraid of making too many waves by fighting too hard.

She knows a lot about music, writing, and she is even good at biology. She can give you all the science facts if you let her. She's also fluent in three languages; German, English, and French.
While she isn't the most sultry person, the mystery that surrounds her has always drawn men to her. She doesn't talk much, but her eyes are piercing and her aura is calm. Most times people perceive this as flirty but oftentimes it's because she really has no interest whatsoever and will brush people off.

* historyBryn was the oops baby. With her dad vacationing in Canada, some things happened, he met her mom who at the time, was a prostitute, and boom. Bryn popped out. While it could have been a romantic story, it definitely was not. Bryn's father went back to America and Bryns mom was left to fight as a single mom. Of course Bryn knew her dad to an extent, but she's never met him in person. She's only ever known the man through FaceTime calls and texts her whole life.
When money became tight in her household, her mother joined a mail order bride website, hoping to find a man who would give them both a better life. The first few men seemed promising, but then she found "him", Bryn's stepdad. It didn't take long for him to ship them to the USA and the marriage was almost instant, just some little courtroom wedding. It gave her mom and her the green cards they needed to stay, and gave him the wife to do "wifely duties" while also pretending he had the perfect little family.
Bryn of course resented her mother for marrying some random from the internet. And Bryn hated him for how weird he was, especially once she got older.
Because of this odd marriage, and with the town he brought them to where everyone knows everything, Bryn was bullied pretty badly. Not only for being the weird science kid, but also the weird science kid who's mother was some hoe. Nobody liked her, and she didn't care to even try to make friends with them.
Eventually when Bryn turned 18, she took some money from her step dad and got the hell out of dodge. Away from everyone who knew her. That's how she landed in Rosewood Heights. She worked at a bookstore for a while but that didn't make her enough money. So she applied to a strip club in a different town when she turned 20. At first as a dancer but eventually she swindled the owner to teach her how to bartend. Plus, having a hot bartender would get the men to buy more drinks. So, he taught her.
Eventually from there, a romance between Bryn and the owner blossomed (or the opposite). He was able to manipulate her and get her to do everything he wanted, even if it hurt her. He was the first and only man she trusted and he completely broke that. So when he left it was a blessing in disguise. Since then, she's been a lot more focused on working to save up enough money to buy her own house.

Robbi was born to a couple of crackheads who probably shouldn't have had kids. Of course, she and her siblings were all unhappy accidents, but just because they were kids did not mean they were treated well. From the moment she could process basic brain movement, she was forced to roll cigarettes for her mom in the morning, or drag her dad to bed at night. With all her siblings being much older than her, they were all able to get out fast enough before the drug abuse got worse. So Robbi was left to endure the worst. The drugs made them angry and negligent. When they weren't fucked up completely they would abuse her, emotionally and physically. When they were fucked up (and sometimes for days) Robbi was forced to learn how to take care of herself.
Of course the schools knew about these issues, but without proper evidence there was nothing they could do besides watch this bright little girl, slowly dim into numbness. At 16 she dropped out of high school to get herself a job, tired of eating rotten food and wearing too small clothes. With a full time job, she was able to buy herself essentials, and eventually save up enough to buy the neighbors old beat up car. And, a week before her 18th birthday, she left into the night and never looked back.
At first she moved to Los Angeles, playing for some change on the street. She lived out of her car and bought whatever food she could from the convenience stores. Eventually she knew her career in music wasnโt going anywhere so she moved back home, only to discover that her family home was justโฆ Gone. It was bulldozed and her parents were put in the ground. She scrambled around for cheap places to live, and thatโs when she came across the fire hall. Communal living wasnโt exactly her ideal, but it was better than sleeping in the back seat of her car.

ivy was born and raised in the city. while she didnโt necessarily hate the hustle and bustle that the city brings, it never really felt like her thing. sheโd always been a little nature girl, a tree-hugger, one might say. since she was young, she loved smaller, scenic areas, with all kinds of plant life to offer. the city could never offer that to her, so she taught herself how to plant and grow her own vegetables and all kinds of different flowers.
once she had finished college, she decided to relocate somewhere more quaint. her grandmother, mags, had owned โthe pretty petal,โ a flower shop in rosewood heights. ivy was more than familiar with rosewood heights, having spent quite a bit of time there over the years visiting her grandmother. it felt like the perfect place to live, and mags was more than happy to oblige ivyโs request to live with her. mags taught her how to run the shop, how to tend to the gardens, and eventually signed the shop over to ivy. this had come as a shock to ivy, but mags was sick, and was just waiting for the right time to break the news to ivy. she died just a few months later, and ivy took over as the florist for rosewood heights.
when ivy hears the news about summit developing, sheโs devastated. sheโs not about to let anyone come ruin the town and, in turn, her grandmotherโs legacy. she will do anything to help the townspeople be rid of them.

marco had always had an interest in filmmaking, even when he was just a wee tot. both of his parents loved documentaries, so while other children were growing up on disney and dreamworks movies, marco was watching documentaries about hard-hitting stories and the world as we know it. despite this, he never felt like he was missing out. in fact, as he grew older, he felt more connected to everyone in his community than he could have ever hoped. when he was around twelve years old, he was gifted a video camera, and started interviewing people around rosewood heights, or filming the local wildlife, or documenting all of the nature surrounding rosewood heights.
after high school, marco headed to boston, massachusetts to attend emerson college for documentary production. just a few years after he finished college, he caught wind of summit developingโs arrival in rosewood heights, and he knew no good was going to come of it. he decided to move back to his hometown to expose what summit was doing, and to mark the historical event that was the townspeople coming together to save their beloved hometown. if itโs a fight summit wants, itโs a fight summit will get.

the start
Faith and Frankie was born to a wealthy class family that lived in Rosewood. Their family was not the traditional one. There was no love involved at all, only business. Their parents came from rival companies, and to end their feud and join their companies, it was decided that their mother and father would marry and produce an heir. Only they didn't just produce one heir, they produced two. At the start of their lives, it's been a competition. Who can walk first to who can master the ABCs the fastest? It was constant throughout their lives. They would be criticized if they didn't get every single thing right. Sometimes even dinner would be taken away if they didn't meet their parents' expectations. Their parents didn't truly love them, they just wanted to make sure their business would go on even after they passed.
As the twins grew up, it was obvious that Faith, the oldest out of the two being born 12 minutes earlier than her brother, was the one to be the next heir to the company. Where Frankie was failing, Faith was excellent. Especially in terms of schooling. It was found out at an early age that Frankie had a learning disability called dyslexia. It caused schoolwork to be hard for him. Their parents were angry of course, they wanted perfection and her brother was an imperfection in their eyes. So it became that every little mistake that he made, was being punished by either no dinner or insults, even sometimes slaps to his face.

Faith could not bear to see her brother like that so she became the perfect daughter, she took all the attention from her brother and placed it onto herself. This way, her brother didn't have to suffer their parents any longer. Soon, her brother was ignored and she was the sole attention. Any mistakes that she made, were looked at in detail. Sometimes she went days without sleep, trying to make sure that she was getting straight A's in school. She bore the brunt of their parents' abuse so her brother would be free.
Then they suddenly left their hometown when she was 17. Her parents had colleagues that were moving overseas and it was decided that they would join them. At that time, she met a girl named Elle at her parents' introduction. Elle was to be her bride. Her parents never truly accepted that she was bisexual but as long as she stayed perfect, she could date whomever she wanted but now her parents wanted her to marry Elle to make their companies more powerful. Faith had no choice but to agree. At first, Elle was nice and kind. She gave Faith, a new outlook on life but things quickly changed. She turned abusive and cold. Demanding at all times to know where Faith was, and if she was late to their meetings, she would call her whore, or hoe and assume that she was cheating on her. It wasn't long before the abuse became physical. In that year, Faith became a shell of herself. Even to her brother who was dealing with his own heartbreak. When he noticed, he was furious. Frankie was done with their parents controlling everything and he was done with Elle. He made a plan, that he and Faith were going to run away. Far away their parents wouldnโt find them. Where Elle couldnโt find Faith. It was all set and ready.
The plan at first had worked.
They were in the car, driving away. Elle and her parents had no idea where they were by the moment they realized that the twins had gone. When they did, they kept blowing up their phone, trying to get them to come back. Telling them that they will never amount to anything without them. Frankie made her promise that if there ever came a time when she was done with everything, she would run. Run away from whatever was making her feel this way and never look backโฆ.it was in that second..that tragedy struck. A drunk driver hit the car and she remembersโฆsmoke and the smell of metal, and her brother's face looking at her scared.

It wasnโt until Faith woke up a month later, that she found out what had happened. Her brother, her best friend, her twinโฆwas in a coma, and was unsure that he would even wake up. He had taken the brunt of the hit, covering Faith with his own body once he realized the car was heading for them. Her parents wanted to pull the plug, even if he woke up, he could have brain issues, and other problems that may make his life harder, and their parents didnโt want more of a defective son.
Faith begged and begged for them to not. She knew that her twin was somewhere in there, that he was still alive and there. So she made a deal, she would do whatever they asked as long as they didnโt pull the plug on her brother. That means she was back as Elleโs fiance and punching bag, and she went through this for a year until her seventeenth birthday when someone knocked on her window as she was getting ready for another appearance at a business dinner.
It was her brother, Frankie.
Turns out, he had woken up from his coma, a few months ago. Her parents had kept her busy and paid off doctors and nurses to send in fake reports, just so she wouldn't find out. And they escaped, their parents again had no idea of their plans, and they disappeared. Both Frankie and Faith had more than enough money to live comfortably for the next couple of years. They had learned things from their parents and made sure to have separate bank accounts that they never told their parents about.
Faith was broken though, a few weeks after they escaped, she stopped speaking. The traumatic past years have gotten to her and she lost her voice. Her brother never judged her or forced her to talk. She slowly became comfortable again through therapy that her brother had gotten for her, to talk only to him and her therapist but no one else. She was a selective mute. After their 18th birthday, they became legally able to be free and able to now do what they needed to do and not hide from their parents. They spent the next three years, taking their GED and wondering what their next steps were. There was only one place that ever felt like a safe place to be, and that was Rosewood but they didn't want to run into their parents so they stayed away.
Until they got the news of what was happening. They knew it was time to come back, so they transferred colleges to the one in their hometown and moved into 14th Avenue. Finding out that most of their old friends also lived in the old Firehall, Faith made sure to avoid it to the best of her ability as she changed and wasn't the same. Faith and Frankie was born to a wealthy class family in Rosewood. Their family was not the traditional one. There was no love involved at all, only business. Their parents came from rival companies, and to end their feud and join their companies, it was decided that their mother and father would marry and produce an heir. Only they didn't just produce one heir, they produced two. At the start of their lives, it's been a competition. Who can walk first to who can master the ABCs the fastest? It was constant throughout their lives. They would be criticized if they didn't get every single thing right. Sometimes even dinner would be taken away if they didn't meet their parents' expectations. Their parents didn't truly love them, they just wanted to make sure their business would go on even after they passed.
As the twins grew up, it was obvious that Faith, the oldest out of the two being born 12 minutes earlier than her brother, was the one to be the next heir to the company. Where Frankie was failing, Faith was excellent. Especially in terms of schooling. It was found out at an early age that Frankie had a learning disability called dyslexia. It caused schoolwork to be hard for him. Their parents were angry of course, they wanted perfection and her brother was an imperfection in their eyes. So it became that every little mistake that he made, was being punished by either no dinner or insults, even sometimes slaps to his face. Frankie suffered at the hands of his parents. Where there should have been love there was only hatred and disgust. They hated the fact that he wasn't perfect like his sister. What they didn't understand is that Faith wasn't perfect. Frankie saw the faรงade that she puts on for them, and she struggled to push herself harder. He knew also why she was doing it, for him. She was modeling herself into a perfect daughter but she wasn't herself.

Now if he made any mistake, he would be yelled at and abused emotionally. The only reprieve was when he was playing football. He was free at that moment in time even if his parents pick apart his plays, and his actions in the game, he was away from them as he played the game he grew to love. As he grew more famous, girls and boys started to follow him but Frankie was a sweetheart, and he was not the playboy type. Then she came, the girl that he once thought was his everything. Her name was Tori and she was beautiful. They were together since he was 13, and it was perfect. Yes, they fought but it was never too bad. On their 1st anniversary, he went to go see her at her home, and there is where he discovered that she had been cheating on him with someone he thought he trusted. His best friend on the football team and right-hand man. After that day, he closed off to love. He never spoke of Tori again and started to sleep around. Fucking anyone he could find. He didn't care about breaking hearts, all he cared about was sex. He turned into Frankie, the fuckboy.
Then they suddenly left their hometown when they were 17. His parents had colleagues that were moving overseas and it was decided that they would join them. In that timeframe, his parents had arranged a marriage for his sister, Faith as she was to be the next heir to the company. He was disappointed in Faith. He had known since they were children that she had been in love with one of their childhood best friends, Lanie, he knew that she loved her when she even told her parents when they tried to order her to end the friendship, that she wouldn't become their heir unless she was allowed to be friends with Lanie. For him, she was just giving up on the last part that made her Faith, not just a puppet for their parents. He ignored her for this, even when he saw that something was going on with her, he ignored it. Thinking that she deserved it. It wasn't until he got a frantic call from a hospital near the end of the year, that he discovered what a grave mistake he made in ignoring his sister. Elle had beaten her to the point where she was in the hospital. He walked into that hospital room to see a shell in what was supposed to be his sister. When he noticed, he was furious. During sophomore year, the guidance counselor asked if Camilla was a little depressed. Looking back, it wasnโt an outlandish conclusion to come to- she was unmotivated, always tired, skipping class to go smoke on the rooftop, and seemed overall uninterested in the life going on around her. When she asked her grandmother, she was told that sort of thing โwasnโt realโ, and it was โall in her headโ. So she never really thought about it again.
Because really, she wasnโt unhappy. Just bored. But Cami always found ways around her endless boredom, by sneaking out of her tiny bedroom window at night, getting into parties she wasnโt invited to and kissing people she didnโt know. It never really passed, though. Even with her friends, her family, her escapades, it always felt like something was missing.
Grandma Laurier caught on pretty soon that she was skilled in the kitchen- โjust like your fatherโ, she said, โyou have his eyes tooโ. That was the only time Grandma had talked about her dad unprompted, and Camilla could never quite let go of the memory, small as it had been. Christian was fine, but not great, Grandmother added, and her twin brother was best left to deal with numbers and business. Camilla was 10 when she became an official apprentice and assistant to Ines Laurier, working in their lovely little bakery called Chat Bleu. The Blue Cat.

Thereโs more to Devon Cruz than what meets the eye. On surface-level, heโs a relaxed guyโfunny, outgoing, relatively happy, all things considered. He gets along well with most people until given a reason to feel otherwise, but even then, heโll avoid confrontation if possible, using well-timed sarcasm and insults that could easily be mistaken for jokes as his first line of defense. Perhaps all of Devonโs problems in life can be traced back to his dad.
He was only twelve when the man was arrested, leaving the rest of the family to fumble in his wake. Devonโs mother grew bitterโangry at her husband for lying, frustrated at herself for not having noticed the signs sooner, and stressed over the growing pile of bills she didnโt have the money to pay. She took on a second job, her days split between Johnnyโs DinerโDev and his sister, Beck, would stop by to visit sometimes after schoolโand the Inn with little time for her children in between. The distance she pushed them to wasnโt intentional, but it was tangible. She was a shadow drifting along the walls of their small house, waking them up, kissing them good night, and offering little more than keeping groceries in the refrigerator.
Devon took it upon himself to try to fix things, sometimes literally. He learned the hard way how the kitchen sink worked and what to do when it stopped working, took up cookingโthe extent of his skills being macaroni and chicken nuggets, but it was something, at leastโand taught his sister the times tables. While he was able to keep everything around him working like a decently-oiled machine (not quite well, as he still wasnโt great at remembering not to wash red clothes with white) at home, his school presence dipped exponentially. What little interest heโd shown in his class work had dissipated entirely, the only efforts made being toward maintaining a social life as his grades dipped lower and lower. Devon wasnโt dumb, but there were only twenty-four hours in the day. Twenty-four short hours that could be spent doing something that mattered, like practicing his motherโs signature so she never had to worry about his Bโs turning into low Cโs and Dโs when she already had so much on her plate.
As Beck got older, Devonโs life got easierโnot by much, but just enough. Until it all came crashing down as most good things tend to do.

Devonโs knack for befriending anyone and everyone, taking time to form his own opinions of people rather than allow his friendsโ claims to dissuade him, finally proved to be a bad thing.
Against all odds, he found himself in a relationship with Alena. A cheerleader and the boy from the wrong side of the tracks shouldnโt have mixed, but theyโd managed to find a loophole. It was a whirlwind of excitement and fun, which was probably what Romeo and Juliet had thought, too, before they both wound up dead. In this case, no one died, but if looks could kill, Alenaโs heart wouldโve given out on that stage as Devon stormed out of the crowd.
Beck and Alena had gotten into a petty argument, one that Devon had been blissfully oblivious of until it all came to a head at their senior homecoming. Just as the title of Queen was about to be bestowed onto a glowing young girl, Alena snatched the microphone, spilling Beckโs dirty laundry for all their peers to hear faster than Devon could reach the stage.
The argument and subsequent breakup that followed was one of explosive and very public proportions.
Afterwards, Devon steered clear of Alena and all those that she associated with. By graduation, he was eager to leave the town at the first chance thrown his wayโnow little more than a painful reminder of all heโd been put throughโbut his sister seemingly had other plans.
A failed attempt at ending her life landed Beck in a hospital bed for nearly a week, prescription for a medication that promised to help with her depression scrawled on the clipboard hanging on the back of the door. Instead of leaving to pursue any of his wayward dreams, Devon stayed in Rosewood Heights to help pay for his sisterโs new lifestyle, taking up a job at the local pharmacy as a way to bring in more incomeโit wasnโt a lot, but anything helped, and as it turned out, it was a more convenient position than he ever expected.
The Cruz family could barely stay afloat as itโd been before, but prescription drugs were expensive. They afforded it for a while, but it wouldnโt last forever. Luckilyโor not, depending on how one views itโBeck wasnโt the only person in Rose Heights fighting depression. Devon pocketed a bottle one day as he was adding labels on their newest shipments, and he swore his sister to secrecy upon handing it off to her later that night.
The task was all too simple, and Devon soon realized just how lucrative it was, dishing out prescription drugs to those in Rosewoodโs demographic with addictions heavier than weed could satiate. It was wrong, yes, but it kept the lights on at homeโthe least he could do after moving out.

Fiona never did quite fit in. She marches to the beat of her own drum, unbothered by the opinions of those around her. In fact, most things bounce off of her skin as if itโs made of elasticโher easygoing demeanor makes her more tolerant of things than she should be at times. Taking advantage of her is an easy task for anyone looking to do soโsheโs very go-with-the-flow, willing to play along with just about any scheme thrown her way as she fades into the background.
Her preference for letting others settle behind the wheel doesnโt mean that Fiona doesnโt have useful input. She possesses a much greater intelligence than what people give her credit for, largely in part to her snarky, devil-may-care attitude. Sheโs learned through the years to keep most of her thoughts in her head, where they belong, as her bluntness can overshadow whatever genuine intentions she might have. Fiona is no stranger to disappointmentโsheโs practically one herself.
It wasnโt always that way. For a large part of her life, she grew up in the shadow of her older sister. Britt was perfectโthe cookie cutter popular girl with good grades, even better hair, and a pristine cheerleader uniform to pull it all together. Fiona didnโt mind flying under the radar while her sister basked in the spotlightโs glow; it was less pressure, which meant she could work at her own pace. She excelled in school but got no attention for her hard work, though she never mindedโpraise meant expectations, and Fiona was perfectly happy to only be set on meeting her own. She couldnโt do anything wrong because her parents rarely kept track of what she did at all.
Then, Britt graduated, easily swapping her role from high school sweetheart to loyal housewife to a nice young man with a hefty trust fund within a year, and with her absence came a shift.
It was almost as if it had happened over nightโit had, in a way. Suddenly, Fionaโs parents began to take note of the fact that she was gone at odd hours of the night and kissing more girls than boys, and they wondered where the way theyโd raised their oldest had been lost on Fiona. The last straw was when she announced sheโd decided against attending college.
What a waste sheโd turned out to be.

Fiona spiraled through odd jobs until she finally landed on an advertisement for the slightly underpaidโa minor detail, reallyโposition of a personal assistant to an influencer, and after a life spent with Britt, it was practically a shoe-in. She could handle high maintenance, but she never anticipated all that sheโd be in for.
She hadnโt had the job long before Scarlett was packing them both up for a marketing gig in a small town called Rosewood Heights. Fiona had never heard of itโshe was New York born and raisedโbut she didnโt mind the change in pace. At least, a part of her hoped there would be one. Life in the fast lane wasnโt all it was cracked up to be, and Fiona could use a break. Still, an assistantโs work is never done, and sheโs absolutely certain that Scarlett will somehow find a way to keep her on her toes, no matter the setting.

Andreas was born in Rosewood Heights to single mother May Palmer, who resided in a poor section of town next door to her sister, Dreโs aunt. Brought into the world just a few days after Thanksgiving, it only makes sense that his entire upbringing was based around gratefulness and the unbreakable bond of family.
Despite not having much of monetary value, he found joy in other things, mainly in the form of his mother, aunt and cousin, Charlie. Once he began school that little circle grew, expanding to encompass Hav and Matthews siblings โ all of whom are still very important to him to this day.
He excelled in schooling, maintaining good grades throughout every year. He found he had a love for history and science that made it all the easier, his chosen hobbies revolving around his interests in ancient wars and the intricacies of biology and the world around him.
Adolescence
High school came and went without much to note โ he was in a few failed relationships, he volunteered as a tutor and made friends in his classes.
For the most part, he was blessed.
His sophomore year, May married a rich doctor, a man five years her senior and endlessly meaner. Andreas and he never got along โ Dre failed to see why his mother loved the man, he was the epitome of everything sheโd taught him not to be. Still, he tried his best to stay in his good graces for his motherโs sake, and the fact that the man had (begrudgingly) offered to pay for his college โ a favor Dre didnโt take lightly, despite their disagreements.
He graduated near the top of his class and accepted a scholarship offer from a university less than hourโs drive from where he lived โ which was ideal, since heโd planned on commuting anyways.
Adulthood
College, Andreas found, wasnโt all that different from high school and middle school before it. The only resounding difference he found was in the urgency โ as if the pressures of adulthood had sharpened the academic blade and his peers would not let it be used against them.
He attended his classes each day, drove home and completed any work heโd been assigned, before spending the rest of the night with his mother, when he could. Other nights he worked long, tireless shifts as a vet tech at the emergency vet the town over โ the only one open 24/7 so it wouldnโt interfere with his schooling.
This continued for all four years of college, and though many times he feared heโd go mad from lack of sleep and close to no social life, he graduated and was offered a job at the clinic in town โ much closer to home and with hours to suit his needs.
Now
Andreas has always been a common face at town events โ volunteering where he can and making house calls free of charge for his neighbors who couldnโt afford the steep bill that came with even the simplest of checkups at the clinic.
And heโs always loved his little town โ the familiarity of it all.

Alena was born in Rosewood Heights, to a wealthy young couple who loved their careers more than each other. John Sorensen, her father, was the district attorney the majority of her childhood, and had the entire town wrapped around his fingers. Hanna, her mother, was a traveling pharmaceutical salesperson, and was constantly off on some business trip or another. She didnโt seem to mind all that much though.
While neither of her parents were very present in her life, Alena grew under the watchful eye of her Grams, who doted on her. Her father stayed locked up in his home office the majority of the time, filing paperwork and going through the motions of his job. Alena could tell her mother secretly resented that fact when she was home, and was glad to leave when her job inevitably called her away to Kentucky or Vermont or wherever her services were needed at the moment.

Alena went to school and made friends, though her intensity and stubbornness, even from a young age, drove some people away. She wasnโt at the top of her class, though nobody could call Alena dumb, and everyday after school she sat down at her Gramโs kitchen table and did her homework while the woman sat nearby or cooked or cleaned.
Adolescence
By the time high school rolled around, the relationship between she and her parents had become even more tangibly taut โ heated arguments were frequent and Alena spent as little time home as possible.
She poured herself into her friend group and messy relationship and her place on the student council and volleyball and track teams. She planned school dances and stayed late to use the schoolโs open gymnasium.
She continued to make friends and lose them, attending parties in and out of town when she could. She spent the weekends with her Grams and silently waited for the day she could leave this place far behind and never look back.
Adulthood
And finally, when graduation came and her relationship went crumbling down, Alena packed and left town. Her parents wanted her to go to college, but instead she got an apartment in the suburbs in Florida and worked wherever she could, though her credit cards and generous trust fund ensured she was comfortable no matter what.
Still, something was missing.
When she received the call from her father that her Grams had fallen and broken her leg, a part of Alena was relieved to have an excuse to return home, though she couldnโt place why. There was nothing there for her anymore, and it was evident her parents hardly noted her absence.
But she caught the next flight into town, taking a taxi to the hospital as soon as she landed. Sheโd made arrangements to stay with her Grams until she recovered and got a job at the Laurierโs bakery, intending to return to Florida as soon as Grams was better.
Now
That was six months ago, and Gramsโ leg is better. But somethingโs keeping Lena here, in the town she wanted nothing more than to leave.
Maybe, deep down, she feels that if the town is worth saving, she is too.

Faye is as blunt as they come as she finds beating around the bush and playing nice to be a pain. With her, you'll always know where you stand, if you have the guts to ask. You want something? Say it, or better yet just go get it even if you have to step on some toes to do so. Still, Faye isn't completely without any code or morals. Though a flirt who isn't afraid to pursue what or who she wants, Faye considers herself a girl's girl and loyal to those she considers to be friends.
Holding grudges and getting even have never really been Faye's thing. She's the type to say her piece or throw her punch and then move on and never bring it up again. But while she forgives and gets over shit pretty quickly, she rarely forgets, especially if she found it to be a pain (like making a mess in her home) and will take measures to deal with it. She lives in the moment, not caring too much for the past that's in the rearview mirror nor concerning herself with a tomorrow that might never come. She hates indecisiveness and whining and likes to take charge, especially when she thinks whoever is currently leading to be a pain in the ass. Though she's rough around the edges in her manner and speech, and not the most nurturing or considerate person, Faye cares for those around her, even if she often complains about what a nuisance they can be.
While her personal life is messy and she has no problem getting down and dirty, Faye is very fussy about keeping her home in order and is surprisingly neat and organised. Creating a mess in her home has gotten guests more than a good kicking in the ass on their way out. She's straightforward and honest to the point of having no filter, but that doesn't mean she will share or explain everything.

Faye's parents were never the kind you could really rely on. Her dad was a drug addict who overdosed when she was 12. The fact that he even lived that long always surprised her. A few years later when she was 14, her mother ran away with her supposedly rich boyfriend and never came back. A foolish decision since she'd known the man all of a week before making that decision, not that Faye cared too much since her mother rarely if ever did anything for her. With parents like that, Faye had to look after herself and had no one to really rely on which made her tougher than most kids her age. She never shed a tear; not when she busted up her knee after falling on a drain or when she broke her arm after crashing her bike into a lamp post. Her house was often filled with nothing but drugs and cigarettes because of her parents' lifestyle and while she never got addicted to drugs, her early introduction to cigarettes turned her into a chain-smoker.
After her mother ran away, and even before that, Faye's main caretaker had been Laney Warren, her elderly neighbour who was like a grandmother to Faye and would fret over her and her frequent cuts and scrapes in place of her forever absent parents. Though she was never good at speaking kind words and often appeared cranky or nonchalant, Faye loved and cared for Laney, even as she frequently complained about her pies being inedible. Despite this, the relationship between them was often tense and full of arguments because Laney wanted Faye to live her life differently than she was living it. While Laney showered her with love and care like that of a parent, Faye always considered herself to be twisted and broken because of what her parents were like and her early childhood.
Adolescence
Faye did well enough to get by at school but always found herself to be better with her hands and decided early on that she would go straight to work after graduating from high school, whereas Laney wanted Faye to go university and get a good degree, even earning and setting aside money for Faye to do so. She would often scold Faye for her chain-smoking, warning her repeatedly how bad it was for her health.
Faye enjoyed herself most in volleyball where she formed a fearsome tandem with Charlie. Together, the pair terrorised both their opponents and teammates which led to them being banned from training with each other. Laney was Faye's biggest supporter at the games and never missed a match if she could help it, but also frequently yelled at her when she made any reckless plays and would scold the coach for it as well.
In her final year, a couple of months before graduation, the elderly Laney passed away, leaving Faye her home and a letter expressing her hope that Faye would go to college, quit smoking and lead a good life. During the funeral and for a week after, Faye didn't speak to anyone and avoided any human interaction. As soon as she graduated, she started working as an auto mechanic at a repair shop and could always be found with a cigarette pack in her pocket.
Adulthood
Faye ran through multiple different jobs, often working a few at a time. She worked at the Matthews Heritage Ranch and Rescue as a horse trainer and ranch hand, dabbled as a repairwoman and mixed together cocktails and other beverages behind a bar counter. She worked whatever job she could take when she fancied it and would switch between them like the changing seasons.
Similarly, her personal life, which had already been fairly messy back in high school, saw her switching between flings on a frequent basis, never committing herself to any one person or relationship. She changed up the interior of the house Laney had left her, including the old woman's room, with most of her belongings thrown away or into storage.
Now
Faye continues to live alone in Laney's house to this day and works various part time jobs. Though the new arrivals with their fancy plans are threatening to completely reshape and turn this town upside down, Faye doesn't really care. None of that has anything to do with her and as long as she and her home are left alone, she doesn't plan to interfere, even if everyone else is determined to take a side and have their say on the matter.
