Today was the day that would change the school for better or for worse. A trial year as the principal called it with his way too cheerful voice. Though there was some lingering threat in his voice directed towards the students who weren’t all too human. Some were worse than others which was a pity as vampires were able to perfectly live in human society if they put their “heart” into it. His hadn’t beaten in a long time, it hadn’t even beaten once since the moment he was born. However he did feel alive once in his life which was when he met his maid who was now working elsewhere and enjoying her life to the fullest. If he was correct, she moved to another country as well. He thought it was South-Africa? She loved to work with kids and make their lives a little bit better with even teaching them [something like a teacher but she didn’t have a license].

Walking through the gates of the school domain, being greeted with the same gloomy faces he had gotten used to over time. He didn’t mind them, but it wasn’t like he was going to be best friends with them either. There were a few exceptions however, like Iris. They were more like frenemies which made his life at school that much more fun. Stretching his arms out which made some horrifying snapping sounds as if he was breaking them right there. Yet, the sound was nothing weird to him as he always did this. His bones were just being dramatic, as he would say as a response.

Also, he was assigned as one of the guardians for the humans entering the domain for the year which was not decided by him but pushed onto him by the principal… That man really needed to learn about personal space. Since he couldn’t back out of it without any consequences, he decided to just put up with it. Perhaps humans weren’t as boring as he thought they would be. Most he encountered were so… normal. Living their lives in a boring routine without much of a change. Those that were different achieved some nice things like reaching the top of the highest mountain or becoming a chef who created a different menu each week. They tried to bring some difference into their lives and he respected them for doing so.

Standing in the courtyard where a flag on a pole, spelling newbies on it, was next to him. It couldn’t be more obvious than this. It was even borderline embarrassing for him. Rubbing the bridge of his nose as he waited for the students to assemble.

IRIS
Iris yawned as she prepared to advance through the gates for yet another semester - it was fortunate she had left most of her things in her private room in the University, for it would have been such a great effort hauling even a suitcase of small necessities back to the university with the influx of students that arrived through the main gates that morning.
Iris was seemingly well balanced, cradling the red panda in her one arm, her bag pack on her back. She strolled to the entrance of the gates, and stepped to the side. There were highlights to be enjoyed that day, at least. There was settling back into a routine, her room, her artwork and of course - Shiro, who she had not seen for a few weeks, possibly a month or two. She pulled her phone from the back pocket of her summer shorts, and tried grappling it with both hands, blowing away the fur from beneath her nose, "Rune, around my neck, please." with that, the panda happily lifted it's paws around her neck, allowing her to type with both hands.

She typed a quick message of her usual correspondence to Shiro: "At the gate. This is going to be good..." They had become close of late. Most of her acquaintances suspected something. It couldn't be that bad, a human and her kind, could it? It was refreshing, but also mildly terrifying - although there was no question of him finding out the truth. Not yet, besides. She knew most of the other vampires in her year and above, and they knew her. She was overall considered more...cheerful, than Saito, at least, amongst the vampires.

Iris pressed send, and shielded her eyes from the already brightening light of the morning, and she could just about make up the slumped, rather bored figure of Saito. She laughed a little as she watched him welcome the new additions, and so enthusiastically, she chuckled. Iris simply stood there and waited. She would become rather uncomfortable in enclosed spaces, hm! , rather , she thought, her inner voice sarcastic and reprimanding. It was going to be an interesting semester, she could feel it. Although something in her already missed her paradise holiday home with her aunt in Kyoto - they would have to wait another term for that pleasure again.

ARIADNA

Ariadna walked right hand on hip and with a confident pace towards the "Newbies" flag. Her foreign accent could be heard loud and clear near the sign-up table, and her tanned skin made her stick out like a stain on a white shirt.
"Bring 'em here!", she waved at another student who she had somehow convinced of carrying her luggage, and tapped his shoulder as an owner does to his pet when he arrived.
"Aye, thank you amigo." She raised an eyebrow and smiled lightly; pleased, while she lined up.
They chit chatted a bit, and after registering and checking her room's placement she stepped away from the line.

A quarter of an hour had passed since some staff on the sign-ups had told her to wait nearby for a "few minutes". She shortly lost her patience, getting fed up with every passing second, until she decided to walk back again towards the flag, and poked at a student in the front, avoiding the line.
"Excuse me, are you going to take long? I just need to ask something."

Shiro got the message subsequently from Iris as a certain youthful glow entered his eyes just from receiving a message from her. Thankfully he had DE-accessed what he didn't need on hand for the most part, as he REALLY wasn't a fan of clutter. He figured he should probably hurry up though, he REALLY didn't want to keep her waiting too long, that wouldn't be cool at all.. A lot of the stuff had already been moved in, earlier with permission. This was mostly because he wasn't able to guarantee he'd be there during the sanctioned time, and he really didn't want to interrupt the flow of things, so for his convivence and those around them they let him move early. Shiro was quite excited at the prospect of the academy even if he didn't show it. He knew that there was an image to keep to an extent, and he really didn't want to blow his chances of making new friends and connections as the year went on.

Eventually Shiro found himself making his way over, looking around probably seeing anyone else who may have been in the vicinity. He himself was simply wearing well fitting grey t-shirt with what seemed to be jeans of a similar nature however they were more so black, the colors contrasting with his own reddish features and subsequent more tan form. The reason for him being in such close vicinity to the gate: self directed outside rehearsal. It wasn't uncommon for Shiro to go and surround himself with nature and try his best to practice what he felt was needed for success, while the other times had been rough and he wasn't exactly finding agencies he'd make due with what he had..After all people were STILL bringing up that one commercial, which gave him hope that the industry wasn't as cruel and fruitless as it continued to portray itself to him as. Of course in his swift movement he hadn't even really remembered to respond to her text, but that was no big deal he was literally almost there.

Eventually when he saw her in the distance a small smile couldn't help but form on his often determined and serious face (Which was actually a lot at the academy given all the trial and tribulations he had to go through it seemed) which was refreshing for once, he walked right up to the gate strutting confidently over, people more inclined to move out of his way should they be there than the other way around, as he walked right up next to Panda and Iris before he smiled a bit more clearly, leaning with one arm against the gate now facing her suddenly. "Hey, Iris-chan~" That had become more and more common it seemed. They were quite far along and hanging out, and as a result it seemed that he had started using the more endearing terminology, name wise, even going to first suggesting a very close friend..or perhaps more, granted that wasn't the context at the time being. Of course assuming that he was older he also used the terminology with that notion, however little did he know, after all why should he know? That vampires were infact real, and real age wise she was definitely his superior.. Everytime he got close to Iris, he felt content with himself, like everything would be okay, it was pretty hard to explain to an outsider, even so it pleased him..he had felt comfortable disclosing quite a bit of information to her and it seemed that would continue to be the trend.

IRIS
Iris continued waiting, as she watched one student in particular, evidently foreign by her accent and voice, walk in through the gates towards the crowding of students, with a companion by her side. She was certainly more tanned than Iris, but she seemed upbeat and interesting. Iris was, as evidently observed, a "people watcher" than a "people leader". She wondered if she would greet her later.

She gave a start, turning and finding Shiro facing her, or rather, looking down at her slightly, for he was taller. As he leaned upon the gate beside her, a warm glow filled her cheeks, and even her turquoise eyes smiled "Shiro! You're here!" The man's features were serious, determined and masculine - and she couldn't help but swallow butterflies in their short encounter at that moment. Rune waved his paw in front of him, signalling his own good morning, or perhaps it was simply impatience. Even Rune had grown accustomed to Shiro's presence, but the panda got along with everyone. It was a victory, no doubt, considering that Iris had to stay absolutely rigid in her opinion before the principle as to her request to allow Rune to stay at the Academy, and here they were, for another year.

"You are looking very well..." She continued, glancing him up and down. Like many of the male students in the academy, he was taller and of larger build in comparison to her smaller and slender frame, but she didn't mind so. She couldn't suppress her smiling. "Hopefully we won't be much longer before we can get back to our rooms, it's already getting warm." Although, she knew she didn't really mind if they needed to wait there a little longer. "Saito is already greeting everyone, as you can see." She gestured in his direction, flicking her head to the side and chuckled.

Shinobu
Interactions/Mentions: Doughnut Doughnut (Saito), Zena_Kuzuki Zena_Kuzuki (Iris), Litra Palia Litra Palia (Ariadna)The break had soared by remarkably fast, and seemingly time had skipped ahead as the world struggled to catch up and before long the day had finally come. April 13th, a day of new enrollment and the ushering in of an entirely new experience. Oak Academy, argued to be one of the most prestigious schools in the Kyoto area while boasting an extremely challenging entry-level with only a select few individuals managing to enter. Be it a stroke of luck, or happy accident, Akatsuki Shinobu had managed to get accepted into this academy. It had been fairly early in the morning when he began to head towards the academy, the sky remained painted with beautiful hues of orange, purple, blue, and the fading blackness that he so adored. A small smile etched it's way into his face as he stood witness to the world's elegance in that moment, though time had passed a little faster than he had been expecting. Despite this he managed to arrive at the gate of the academy in a timely fashion, glancing past the gate he could see a few groups of others chatting or simply moving about. This would mark day one of the first semester, a feeling of hope built up in his chest and turned into a warmth that spread through his body. Rolling his shoulder forward somewhat prompted a light popping noise, fairly quiet in comparison to what someone's fingers might be capable of doing. With that the black strap supporting his bag shifted slightly before pulling taut once more, the weight on that shoulder was far less than his guitar case was. A seed of doubt, or perhaps worry, reared it's head within him- had the movers been gentle with his instruments? Surely they had been... that sort of equipment wasn't cheap after all.

By the time he'd managed to let this information cross his mind a horrifying noise rang out from somewhere behind him, his head turned towards the sound that could only be described as someone's body breaking. The origin had been a man, who appeared to be doing nothing more than stretching his arms, and yet from the sounds of things he hadn't popped those bones in eighty years. That was impossible though... he couldn't have been older than his mid-twenties at the latest. Shaking the thought from his mind he attempted to focus on the situation around him, a gloomier looking individual bumped into him for a moment. He made haste to apologize before they simply walked away, most of the students here seemed to be like that- gloomier and downtrodden. Come to think of it, he didn't recall whether or not the academy had any sort of sports teams- let alone if they had something to enthuse it's students. He bit his cheek for a moment before looking around a little more in a large sweep of the grounds. The first thing he'd noticed was a lady standing by the gate, she must've arrived after he had, out of all the students she seemed the most joyous of them. Passing by that he noticed a flag, flying with the word 'Newbies'. A fairly casual approach to a help desk for the new students, though he wasn't willing to complain about that as long as it served it's purpose. That in mind he strolled over to the line and joined in with it, the someone leaving the line nodded to him which prompted the simple reply of "Morning." So far that had been the only person he interacted with, but it wasn't the worst thing either- better to make one passing remark in comparison to a bad impression.

Time seemed to pass slower than usual in this line, which had turned the 'few minute' waiting time into nearly fifteen minutes. At that point it just felt tremendously uncomfortable to stand in the line, even having confusing information emailed to him would be preferable to this. Glancing forward in the line he noticed that he was third in line, the amount of people had dropped quite a bit since he had started standing in this line. "Nearly there...." He sighed out quietly as the next person moved forward, his sentiment was cut short as a sudden jab hit him in the arm. It wasn't aggressive from what he could tell, but it was something that expressed a hint of urgency. That in mind he turned towards the poking, before him stood a tanned skin individual who hadn't waited a moment to speak. "Hmm? Oh, I don't plan to take very long. Just figure out some basic information and then be on my way." He stated with a wave of his hand before continuing, "I'm sure everyone has the same sentiment. After all, everyone is lined up to get assistance." He smiled kindly before glancing back to the rest of the line, if he had to assume she was trying to cut the line because she was wanting something. Or perhaps she'd come to ask him the question because she'd been waiting in this line as well, that in mind he made sure that there wasn't much room to cut in front of him and even if she did it would be uncomfortable. Granted that in itself wasn't hard, he'd been prepared for someone trying to pass him this entire time now.

"I meant no offense by that of course. If you'd like me to, I could ask the question for you. As long as it won't make me hold up the line too terribly long." He had something of an agenda to keep, finding his room, knowing if he had a roommate to deal with, normal first day at college things. In all honesty, he expected there to be a much larger group helping out the new students since that would just be easier on the school in itself. In spite of this he remained with the majority of his focus on the line and the remainder on the girl, who given a second to examine was relatively attractive- though that was trivial at the moment.

ARIADNA
Ariadna let out a breath after the guy's gesture towards the line, "Creeme. Been there, done that. This would be my second round here", she resisted an eye roll, "I'm not trying to cut... in a way."
Ada moved her head towards a slim and tall woman wearing a formal dress on the other side of the sing-up table as a signal for the guy to look there, "Look, the miss right there told me to wait nearby, but she forgot to mention the reason and, most importantly, failed to be precise for how long."

She brushed off her hair in a petulant move and sighed. She didn't like people playing guess with her intentions since they were almost always wrong and left a misunderstanding inbetween. She felt a little guilty this time though, considering it was most likely her fault her actions were misinterpreted... kind of.
After giving it a thought, Ada resolved that she didn't want come up too agressive.

Well, just too agressive.

Ariadna managed a slight smile, but couldn't help to slide in a slight sense of annoyance in her voice.
"I've been the only one they've put aside so far, no reason given at all. Its honestly making me anxious", she raised her head, smiling, and confidently, almost by way of order, continued, "But why thank you, I'd prefer to stick around while you ask."
She immediately placed her hand in front of the guy, giving no room for a response, while she waited for a handshake.
"Ariadna, if you care to make us acquaintances", she smiled.

Seeing the taunting smile of Iris, he rolled his eyes in an obvious way, almost as if they were going to roll out of his eye sockets if that was possible. Honestly, he didn’t want to be part of the guard stuff and even more now since he was the pole guy. Yes, holding a flag for who knew how long was surely boring him to death. Directing his focus towards Iris and mouthed: ”Go die.” Towards her which was not meant in a serious way. She would get it probably. The guy standing near her was someone who he wasn’t familiar with either. One of the humans then… But why was he standing with Iris? Were they acquaintances or something? He couldn’t believe that she would actually be friends with them, but then again. He was talking about Iris here. He let out a groan as he didn’t want to think too deeply about it [plus feeling insanely bored didn’t make things better]. It could make a perfect teasing subject however. Maybe it wasn’t all bad. He had to become a little more positive about these changes that were going to happen to the school.

Seeing the line go down with new students who still had to write their contact information down: what their number/e-mail is, their parents’ number and e-mail, etc. The usual. But some students just kept on asking away and what should have been a mere 5 minutes, became longer… After a whopping total waiting time of 20 minutes to get everyone’s information, it was finally time for Saito to take the lead. His voice was already loud and clear enough for the group to be heard, so he didn’t need some kind of microphone to enhance it.

”Since we’re finally done, I’ll be taking you on a short tour of the school. Today there won’t be any real classes so you can take it easy for now. Do make sure to keep up with me if you don’t want to get into trouble. And when I say trouble, it’s serious. You don’t want to be hanging on the verge of your lives now do you…” He commented without thinking too much to it. He was only telling the truth and there was the silence contract they had to sign before they could even enrol as a student at Oak Academy. It specified that they were not allowed about the secret of the school which they were going to get to know about in just a short moment.

Once they got into the school building, they made a direct right which was just one big hallway with rooms on the left side. Going like this: cafeteria > toilets > classrooms [3 next to each other] > classrooms [after taking another right, and on the left side / 5]. Then they went from the entrance to the direct left: library > toilets > auditorium > principal’s office > classrooms [1] > classrooms [after taking another left, and on the right side / 5].

”And for the last bit of the ride, there are the club rooms. You just need to go up the stairs in front of the entrance and you’ll have quite an amount of clubrooms which you can explore and even join if you want to. Creating one is also possible.” Saito explained, indicating that this was the end of the tour. The gym was in a separate building which was just next to the field behind the school. It was all neatly placed so it would be difficult to get lost, unless one had terrible orientation.

”Now, I still have to say one thing from the principal.” He commented, taking out a piece of paper where the words were written down upon. ”Dear students, now that you’ve seen the school, I hope you will have a great time here. But do keep in mind that you’ve all signed a silence contract about the secret of the school. This involves the students greatly as it is about them. We are different from you as you might notice with time. We’re called vampires. Something you might have seen in movies or read about in books But do not be afraid, we are not as terrifying as you might think. However it is recommended to keep your guards up as not everybody is as friendly. If you are in trouble, yell for the guards or a teacher who would come as soon as possible to your aid. If there are questions, do not be afraid to ask them to said people or even me, the principal.” Saito finished to read the letter and tossed it into the bin with one free throw.

Looking back to the students who were standing in front of him. ”So… Any questions?” He asked.

Sharp steely blue eyes flicked around absentmindedly, no intent or purpose sparking behind his gaze while the throng of people split up. Ichiro had stationed himself a fair distance out of the crowd, though he was a bit late so it was his own fault for being tossed into the crowd entering through the gates of the academy. He didn’t carry very much, his shoulders nearly bare except for the straps of his two bags, but if anyone asked Ichi he would sit and complain—requesting an immediate need for a good nap. It wasn’t unlike him to just sit down somewhere random and doze off though, so that was a faint idea lingering in the back of his head as he looked around the gloomy student body swarming the place. By the time he watched a few students saunter pass looking like zombies almost, Ichiro made a remark to himself about how dead the school seemed with some students.

Shrugging that all off, Ichiro slipped over to a group near the ‘newbies’ flag. His brows quirked up curiously at the display, his interests peaked as he looked over the line towards the area more than likely for newly enrolled students and so on. His broad shoulders slumped, he was lanky and tall, bordering on being considered average in height with the way he was slouching. Slinking past the line that began to dwindle, Ichiro let his bags drop with a dramatically delayed thump. The pale haired brute couldn’t look anymore bored, the last thing he desired was standing in line and filling out information. He had been to Kyoto before, having only lived in Osaka for his entire life—he made a few trips when the time called for it. Curiosity had hit him when the infamous 1% acceptance rate turned down incredibly intelligent people, there were a few loops and turns to the school itself. Tossing his bags back onto his shoulders, Ichiro wandered to the back of the line and continued to wait while he contemplated the reason why he had been accepted after rejecting the majority of the population. Though that wasn’t an accurate statement, Ichiro thought it was pretty close in resemblance. When things had been finished, he was told to sit and wait, he did just that. He plopped down onto the ground while his body threatened to sleep as he waited around.

The moment a voice broke through his subconscious, Ichiro peaked open a single dark blue and gray hue to examine the area around him. The line was gone and the flag pole guy was talking to everyone, and to say his vague statements were less than transparent would be an understatement. He left his last set of words vaguely, saying how they’d be hanging on the verge of their lives. Tucking his hands into his pant’s pocket, Ichiro watched the flag pole make cautiously. Maybe it was some kind of bad joke? Trudging along in the back of the crowd, Ichiro took note of the few classrooms he found interest in. By the time the group stopped again, he didn’t pay much attention until the flag guy began reading a note from the principal.

Uh, is that supposed to be some kind of hazing?” Ichiro mused, he had stood there listening and only quirked a brow when the whole vampire bit came up. He did remember signing a contract, going on about keeping quiet with the secret being revealed. Ichi wasn’t entirely persuaded with just a note from the principal, for all he knew flag guy had wrote and made the entire thing up. With his gears turning, he went back to the sight of the bland and gloomy faces previously, then the acceptance rate turning away even the smartest kids. He didn’t think a school like this would be entertained with making the newbies go through tasks to prove their worth like some did—but the students could have done it all on their own for all he knew. Glancing around, he wondered who was buying all of this and who wasn’t out of the new students.

Yuji was looking forward to starting college, not only was it a nice change of pace from high school, where he had to put up with crap from other people who didn't care about their future, but he was also able to focus on what he wanted to do. This feeling was made even stronger by the pride he felt in getting into one of the best colleges around, he could still remember the look on his Mom's face when he got excepted. Now he'd finally be able to work towards making their lives better. He was here to do business and management studies as it would make setting up in how Cafe a lot easier, especially since he had very limited knowledge on how to run a business. Though he did want to work on his baking skills in his free time so that he wouldn't become too rusty.

Even though he'd spent the better part of a week looking at the school online, Yuji was rather unprepared for the real thing. It looked so much more daunting in real life, so much so it made the teen a little nervous, especially as he saw the mass of people on the ground. That being said, it was interesting to see such a wide variety of person there, though he supposed that's what it's like at a high ranking college such as this, he even though he saw a girl with a red panda around her neck but quickly lost her in the sea of people.

One thing Yuji definitely did NOT like about this college, however, was how long this line was. He understood that there were probably people who needed more help than others, and he did feel slightly guilty about getting annoyed by them, so he passed the time by pulling his headphones over his ears and began playing whatever anime opening his playlist was on as he waited. After that, he had stood around the 'newbies' flag with the other people until they were led off for the tour.

Yuji had begun making mental notes to himself of where everything was, he had no intention of getting lost in this place. As they went from room to room, the teen could definitely see the effects of the college being as prestigious as it was, everything seemed much more modern, or at least much cleaner than his highschool was, then again that probably wasn't hard. He then listened intently as their guide read a statement from the principle before unceremoniously throwing it in the bin when he was done reading.

Yuji was thoroughly perplexed by the content of the letter however, sure he had been required to sign a contract, but he assumed that was natural and any college would require you to do so, but vampires? That seemed quite far fetched. The teen was very familiar with the idea of vampires, he enjoyed reading about them in books that weren't trash, and he enjoyed anime/manga about them, but he never once considered them to be real, this had to be some attempt at humour that had gone poorly. As to ascertain a straight answer, Yuji gingerly stuck his arm in the air before speaking "I have a q-question! Is this supposed to be some kinda joke? Because it seems quite far fetched. Besides, even if it was true, what would vampires have to gain from going to college with humans?"

Shiro looked at her and smiled some before saying a bit dryly, "For better or for worse, Here I am..just don't let me distract you from what's important.." He said sounding fairly serious at the comment. The last thing he wanted was to put a damper on her success, which was what he had become increasingly worried about as he continued to spend more time with her..While he enjoyed every moment with her, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself if he felt at fault. There was another year and the anxiety had been building ever since changes started taking place around him. For some reason he couldn't quite place it, but he himself felt out of place in some ways..

On that serious note he lightened up a great deal and looked down at Rune smiling a bit, waving at the panda, getting down to it's level. "And Of course I couldn't forget Rune.."I take It Iris here is taking excellent care of you as perusal, living the life I see~" He continued somewhat playfully. Thought the deeper implications to what he just said went over his head if one were to look at that statement through a different lens, even if that wasn't what he meant to suggest in the slightest. That Panda was seriously lucky for more reasons than one, having someone like Iris to fight for it to stay..and just generally spending plenty of time with someone who was held with high regard as far as Shiro was concerned.

He hadn't really been expecting the compliment coming from her, as he quickly shifted back into a more natural standing stance. A bit of color probably almost coming to his face before he snuffed it into the depths of his show little emotion façade. He had really only been focusing on Iris in that moment, As anyone else passing wasn't really being registered, before he had to straighten himself up once more. He then just let out a somewhat subdued "Well..Thank you, but..I have to admit if anyone is deserving of such a compliment, it would be yourself.." He reflected just trying his best to maintain proper composure, it was fairly chill, he had done many more gusty things on stage after all.

"mhm, I would have to agree; though being out here isn't so bad with company.." He said smiling some back

He the nodded looking over at Saito, before responding "So he is., Hopefully he won't scare off too many new students.." Hearing some of rather intimidating talk from afar. This comment had really mostly been playful in nature naturally, but even then he certainly wouldn't have taken too kindly if he saw what had been directed towards Iris just earlier, serious or not. As dangerous as places could be Shiro wasn't one to back down, when it came to certain circumstances, particularly those pertaining to good friends which were not favorable.

He then decided to move into something that was more akin to Small talk trying to kill some time before things got too serious, "So I know...It hasn't been THAT long since we've seen one another, but I take it things are going well?" He'd ask her. Everytime he exposed himself to Iris he could feel his confidence only grow stronger...

Though once again such a word slipped his mind, likely foreign if he had to assume. His eyes shifted to see what the lady had been pointing out, a rather slender woman standing off to the side and directing any stragglers to the line which had become more of a muddled mob-like mess towards the rear. Returning his attention to the girl he was immediately drawn to the movement of her hair, the manner of which seemed to be something under negative connotation. She reminded him of someone... though he couldn't name the person right off, perhaps it had been someone from a television program or a movie. That's the only place he assumed that she may be from, other than if he had met her in the past- which was practically impossible. In spite of his minor distraction he continued to listen to her point, she seemed to be concerned over events to come. Not that he could blame her, whatever their next task would be remained shrouded in mystery for all he had known. Though becoming anxious about it seemed a bit much, he would've taken a moment in attempts to quell the anxiety but it seemed the girl had other plans. Before he could make a comment she had already continued once more, perhaps this had been a pattern for her, this time she held a hand before him followed by an introduction.

With the rather hasty introduction he had been informed of her name. Ariadna, it didn't sound like her family name. Given the introductory name, her complexion, and the earlier term of dialect she'd used... he had to assume that she was a foreigner. If he remembered correctly, many location referred to another by their first names without having to become close to the individual. He may as well do the same, with that he reached out and took her hand. His grip was firm, but not rough by any means, the way it was approached seemed more of a formal handshake than that of aggression. "Shinobu, a pleasure to make your acquaintance." He responded with a smile before continuing, relinquishing his grip from her hand as he did, "As for your question-" His statement was cut short as the student holding the flag began to speak. They were granted a rather grim warning from their advisor, the warning itself reminded him of something you'd get before entering a haunted house. The thought of such a thing turned the smile he had turned into that of a smirk. With that the crowd had begun to move and follow him, "Well- I suppose we'll get your answer after our little tour ends. We best hurry along or we might lose our very souls... or die from standing in this line for an eternity." He jested before walking off with the crowd, keeping pace with most of the members. The more eager of which tended to flock towards the front of the crowd, while those who didn't care much at all slacked a little bit from the clustered group.

He didn't intend to walk alongside his new acquaintance, but if she decided to follow him he wouldn't object. Taking a few moments he observed the crowd of 'newbies' for others who piqued his interest to some extent. Walking somewhat behind him was a pale-haired boy with eyes similar to his own, he seemed disinterested in most of the situation. Honestly he couldn't blame the guy. The next individual he spotted was a blonde guy, he seemed to be far more duteous in his touring. Other than that he didn't spot many in the first few moments, much alike the rest of the world the tour continued on without a care to what he'd been doing. Numerous classrooms, and other vital locales were visited- and he would most certainly get lost on his way to at least one of them. That was an unavoidable fact, but an expected situation for ones first day in a new location. The mention of the club rooms piqued his interest for a moment, he couldn't help but wonder what the prestigious school would present with it's overwhelmingly drab student body. It seemed that would be something to explore further in later time, later in the day perhaps? Quelling these thoughts took nearly no work, especially with the next announcement coming from the principal himself.

Listening to a few outbursts from other students only served as icing on the cake for him. A letter had just identified all of the students in this school, prior to the new students in this cluster, as beings of an undead race known as vampires. This left two options on the table, option one was that this principal had yet to grow out of his 'chuuni' stage. Option two, he had to accept the existence of vampires. There was of course the hidden option three, denial. Shinobu decided to play a game of devil's advocate, might as well start off the school year with something interesting after all. "Makes sense, I mean with what I saw in the vending machines at the cafeteria and all. Given the letter he read off, it seems that the headmaster wishes to keep us out of harms way." He spoke casually among the crowd of murmuring students, the contract was a bit clearer now, though it was unlikely that he might've been heard in that. At the same time he couldn't ignore his own curiosities on the matter, though he didn't come to college to dwell on unimportant matters. Despite his desire to rub against the grain, the blonde kid had a point and prompted a good question with it. "It's shaping up to be quite the interesting semester... can't say I hate it in all honesty." His voice became quieter with this statement, the hint of a smile teasing the corners of his lips.

IRIS
Iris only shook her head slowly, she could only marginally suspect what Shiro was meaning, but of course, nothing was more important to her than other people. "Don't worry, I know a distraction when I come across one," she winked as she laughed, jokingly. "But you needn't worry about that - I'm sure you will be of help, not hindering! It's the same both ways, Shiro, I wouldn't want to restrict any of your own successes either."

She knew how important his academic achievement and work was to him, something else she respected about the student. Shiro wore his seriousness as one wears a well suited shirt - and Iris rather liked it. She admired his sensible opinion, and valued his honesty."I'll be here to help you too, Shiro. Strange feeling, but I think it will be needed this year." Iris smiled gently as he bent down to greet Rune, and she rested her chin on the panda's head, looking at Shiro as he bent down to her companion. "He's become accustomed to you, you know." Shiro was not alone in making remarks with greater weight to them than it appeared. The panda really had gotten accustomed to his presence, and if a red panda had, how much more had she! And she sincerely hoped that would not change. She cast a subsequent glance towards Saito, shaking her head at him in jest before he trudged off into the main building ahead of the other new students.

"Me? Oh, you know how it is! Everytime I'm at Aunts, I miss my art. But everytime I'm here, something in nagging at me to return to sunny Kyoto and the animal reserve." Iris laughed. She was prone to making light of her own points and conversation, her laughter was natural." I spoke to my aunt of you, a little..." She realised how strange she must have sounded, but carried on, a blush appearing on her cheeks,"... She said she would be most obliging if you wanted to come with me next time to see her and the reserve? It's such a nice area!"

Iris looked towards the departing line of students entering the building, assuming the same protocol she had experienced when she first entered the Academy.
"Ah - they are talking about the silence contract, by now." Iris scuffed her feet a little on the ground, lowering her eyes. She shook her head, pretending to shiver a little - she could never be out in the sun for too long, even shorter time than most. It had been 2 and a half hours, for she hadnt been sheltered in the least since walking from the station which was a good deal away. She felt her skin begin to tingle. She looked again at Shiro "Shall we go to the rooms? Yours or mine? No doubt they will call us for some assembly or something later on. " Iris rearranged Rune, his back legs perched on her backpack, front legs leaning on her shoulder, rather like a parrot, only bigger and less balanced on her small frame. He was certainly getting heavier as he got older, and perhaps thanks to the spoiling he received from the other students in their breaks. "and while we are at it, you can tell me all about how you are."

ARIADNA

Ada smiled at the last comment Shinobu gave her, but her attention shifted to the crowd that accumulated around the flag. A slight feeling of disgust seized her, "Maybe by telling me to wait nearby they meant over there", she thought. She shrugged and commented to herself with a harsh voice, "La ineptitud de la gente."

Shinobu had advanced to join the group and Ariadna's intention would have been to follow him, had it not been for some people that closed between them, she actually ended up surrounded by some girls asking questions and talking to her in the back.

They toured throughout the school, and it seemed to Ariadna that they wouldn't even skip a rock from the road to explain. "Finish already, por el amor a Dios", she narrowed her eyes as she began to feel heaviness in her feet for having been standing so long. She paid attention to something that stung her interest; the clubs. She had always been impressed by the club system of schools in Japan, but more than anything, the amount. A flash of emotion seized her, as she was eager to see all the options that the school and their student body had to offer.
From thinking about this, she almost ignored the announcement the guide was about to read from the director.

The school is full of vampires, the principal intends to protect us and we should live in harmony.

That really summed up the whole letter, and Ada didn't know what to do with this information, or even what feeling she should allow to fit in first. That of disbelief, fear, or the emotion that grew in the darkest part of her being? An emotion that fed her deepest fanatic and creative side, and that yelled at her that she should document everything and upload it to Wattquad as a fanfic, despite the contract she had signed.

She tried to maintain her composure, although a small smirk slowly made its way through her face, and her cheeks flushed just thinking about the things she could write. Ada coughed to hide her thoughts and tried to put a neutral face again.

On second thought, why feel fear if the director himself had guaranteed our safety? Being a school of such prestige, and with so much to lose, Ada did not think they would have played this card without making all the appropriate preparations and being a hundred percent sure that they would not put their human students in danger.
She decided that she would make an appointment with the director. First, to confirm what was written in that letter as his word, and second, to convince him to allow her to write her fanfics.
