Fantasy ~ FableWood

@general ostruppen Following that conversation, if you're interested in being a big bad wolf, that is totally acceptable. Its fairly similar to a werewolf save you'll be confined to a human form and the form of a really big wolf, and also the rules of the storybook character. There are multiple wolves in fairytales, just because one has been used as a side character does not mean you can't play a big bad wolf. They do have a reputation in FableWood, so likely any would be well-known.

Outside of that and the character's fairtale you have freedom. I think Bigby was Red Riding Hood's wolf, so any of the others is fine.

Time for a brief announcement!

I know I can't be the only one feeling that FableWood has gotten into a bit of a rut. Part of that is to do with the fact that I seem to be repeating the same cycle just with different characters and scenery, partly because people are really busy this time of year and also partly because perhaps the character we're writing seem a little...old?

So! Lets open a discussion and bandy ideas about as to what we could bring to our characters to give them a new dimension and bring that spark back to our beloved RP.

Some people have said that their character stories are pretty much done. I don't believe that for a second. If the initial pieces of the character's development have been played out, let's make some more! Make them more interesting, figure out more ways for them to grow and change. Even better if those ways involve other characters.

Let's hear some ideas, could be for your own character or suggestions to the others, but I want to hear ideas, let's go!

*Waits at computer expectantly*

Well, since there's no more Alex, Malachai has kind of fallen back to being his half sullen self. Paying attention mainly to any danger to Achyls, and now possibly Kibito. completely missed that CS until this morning btw lol Maybe if stuff happens to split the group into pairs that don't normally work together, or characters that don't necessarily interact with each other much. Forcing them to reveal a little about themselves that they normally wouldn't to said person. Like, Luness and anyone else besides Kallin O.o Or Kai and Morgrim, considering their rocky start. Might give a few characters insight about their companions they didn't have before?

I agree with @andujarprime , I'd love to see some odd pairings, and hopefully get characters that don't often interact to do so! I know Achyls doesn't have the best track record with Luness, it would be fun to see how they'd get along if it were compulsory.

I agree with the odd pairings. It might bring some characters to odds with one another, more so for Luness who can be stingy and grumpy quite often. Considering her background though, there's a reason why she so desperately seeks the comfort of Kallin's company all the time. That, and she's very worried that his time could end at any moment so she's afraid to leave him alone.

I personally also look forward to Leandra trying to figure out how to fly with her wings because right now they're essentially useless for her. Like, she has no idea how to fly at all and she's even struggling a bit to handle the wings while she's grounded.

Love this Idea. Thats kind of what @Flutterby and I have been trying to do with Quincy and Otto. Before now they really never interacted together.

I know I've mentioned to you @SilverFlight that I feel like Leo's story is pretty much fleshed out, but I do have more ideas for him, I just didn't want to get started on something for him not knowing how much time is left before the final battle.

That's a great start, so, how can we split them up? I was always afraid of doing this because people have such different post-rates, but if we work together to try and make a post once every day or two days we could move this really well. I do have plans for us to meet the undead this coming night, get a taste for what is in store when they reach the temple. Maybe we can work off that?

What about a sandstorm? maybe during fighting the undead? Combine the disorientation of a fight with that of a sandstorm you have a pretty good potential for getting divided up.

I am really afraid of suggesting anything since I tend to go overboard but how about something like this:

Liches are powerful wizards died eons ago and resurrected into bodies of skeletons, granting themselves immortality and great power. As was suggested one such powerful entity - or multiple for that matter - could conjure up a sandstorm which would not only threaten to split the heroes up but would also move ever so slowly towards the town of Scheherazade to consume it with its denizens.

Thus we would not only be at a disadvantage of being split up but we would also race against the clock to save them!

Well, that is what I could think of :P

@andujarprime sounds great! My characters haven't told any one their backstory yet so this may be a cool chance~ Oh @SilverFlight if it's possible could you do one post before the zombie attack? I wanted to respond to @andujarprime with Kibtio but I prefer to post with Takeo as well (if you can't I'll just do a post for Kibito no biggie~)

And that, is why you are the Thor to my cap. I had the exact same idea.

I like the lich idea, lets keep it focused on us for now, we already have a race against time with the water.

Today, I will finally finish my post that I started a day or two ago lol.

I am getting there slowly, I have a big class presentation tomorrow...which I ave not prepared for...

I have a ton to do this week. I have to go to the health services on campus after class today to get my chronic injuries checked out yet again. I have metatarsalgia in my right foot and ankle as well as patellofemoral syndrome in both of my knees (worse in my left knee) and something is wrong with my wrist (has been for five years), but my parents never thought it was concerning enough to get checked out. I literally fell asleep last night with my wrist tingling and throbbing. Like, if I write anything for longer than twenty seconds then my hand starts cramping up and I'm in immense pain. If I'm on the computer long enough throughout the day, my wrist will be aching for the rest of the day. Not fun. Anyways, so I'll be heading to health services to get everything checked out and based on what research I did on my phone last night, it's possible that I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my wrist, which might very well need surgery since I've been dealing with it for so long. *sigh*

Moving on from that boring medical stuffs, I have a philosophy quiz on Friday and Chinese homework due that day. I also get to meet with my psychology advisor that afternoon since I'm majoring in psychology and all that good stuff. :3

Back to fun medical stuff, I had surgery done on my big toe several weeks ago for an infected, ingrown toenail and it has begun swelling abnormally once again (it's already happened once) and so I'll most likely end up having an appointment to get it checked out again on Friday. Basically, my body is slowly falling apart lol.

Sooooo...that means no posting. :P

Damn though, maybe I should go find a real healing spring for you instead of just writing about them (there actually is one close by apparently, next to a mountain fabled to have dragons on it. I kid you not, I love Europe.)

Lol, well, I just got in a post real quick and I only have a few classes tomorrow as well as a seminar to attend in the evening. I can still find time in between stuffs to post. ^^ I can always go mobile on my phone, too lol.

And if I could visit a healing spring and it could work, then I'd be in heaven. xD Speaking of foreign countries, I'm going to be studying abroad next fall semester. I have a top six list and will narrow it down soon enough (i.e. once I go to the study abroad office on campus and begin filling out applications and such). Want to see my options? :3

All you people and your things to do. -.- I feel like i need to create things to do for myself now.
