Fantasy «§» Raza Highschool «§» for the magically gifted

Gray smiled brightly. "Okay, just give me a moment." he said, taking off down the hall. In a few minutes he was back, carrying a small black case. Alice looked irritated because of his running, and hopped onto the floor to clean her feathers again.

He sat down next to her, checking the wiring for a moment.

"Does it cause you any pain?" he asked, opening the case. Inside there was an array of screwdrivers and tools, along with some electronic testing devices.

He looked at the screws for a moment and picked up a screwdriver with a little smile.

"I can't feel pain." She said looking at the toolbox, her dull eyes blinking again. "It's a glitch problem." The tools looked new, unlike hers that were old and rusty and didn't work too well. Krona watched him as he helped her.

Gray worked on reconnecting the wires and tightening down the screws, glancing up at her for a moment.

"Oh... Well, I'd offer to fix it, but I don't know if you'd actually want to feel pain..." he said with a shy smile. Once the wires were tucked away cleanly he checked his work, being as gentle as he could. Even if she couldn't feel pain, he didn't need to be rough with the girl.

"To be honest, I love working on electronics. I don't usually get the chance to, though." he said, his face flushing red.

"N-not to say that you're just a piece of electronics... I'm not trying to be rude or anything..." he stammered, dropping his eyes back to her arm. He was horrible at dealing with people.

"You're not being rude, I don't really care if people hurt me.... They won't know what I'm thinking or feeling anyways" They won't know because my face is expressionless... Like a doll... Krona thought. He fixed her arm up pretty good, better than what she can do. "Thanks, I'm Krona."

Gray smiled, glad she didn't take offense. "I'm Gray... You seem perfectly sentient. Did the glitch mess with your emotion processor or something?" he asked, curious.

"I'd be happy to see if I can fix it. If you want me to, of course." He offered a warm smile, glad that he could help.

"I think you're fascinating. I've never seen an android so complex before."

"Nice to meet you Gray...You can try to fix it... But it's pretty complex..." Even Fisher, the best mechanic can't fix it... Krona sighed a bit sadly. She was the first Android made by the creator, but also the first one who has gone wrong. If Gray can fix it, It'll be a miracle, a huge one.

Gray's eyes lit up. "I'd love to give it a try. I don't think the hallway would be the best place for it, though..." he said with a little smile.

"Most of my tools are in my room." he said as he stood and put his kit away, offering her a hand up.

"I can't guarantee that I'll be able to fix you, but I can promise you I won't mess anything up."

Krona nodded. She was nervous inside, she just met him, but she trusted him. Her hand met his as he pulled her up. It was warm and gentle, he reminded her of Del, but a bit different in a way. "Your tools look new, How long have you had them?"

Gray let his hand linger on hers for a moment before he flushed red and let go, stammering for a moment.

"O-oh, uh... A few years. I try to keep my things in as good condition as I can, I don't really have many chances to replace my stuff." he explained, whistling for Alice. She hopped up onto his shoulder and looked at Krona curiously as he lead her back towards his room. He smiled softly and opened the door, letting her go in first.

The room was pretty much empty, aside from a few books and a small toolchest.

Krona stroked her finger on Alice's head. The hawk was beautiful. She looked around the room and blinked. It reminded her of Fisher's room. The books were stacked neatly and she sat down on the ground. "Me neither, I don't have money to polish my tools, so they're rusty..."

Gray picked up his toolchest and pulled a table near where she was sitting, smiling softly. "I could clean them if you want. It's relaxing for me." he said, watching as Alice fluttered over to her with a quiet chirp.

"Alice likes you. She's not normally friendly, either..." he explained, laying his tools out on the table.

"Where do I start?"

"Well, Usually... How when Fisher and my creator does it... um... they cut open my skull." She pointed to the left side of her head. "There are wires, bolts, and memory chip located there. Fisher says he has to fix the damaged stable chip that's behind that." Krona blinked at him. "It's still damaged."

Gray blinked, looking at her for a moment. "Oh, I see." he said, reaching over to move her hair back. He could see the access panel and thought for a few moments.

"Well... I'll do what I can. I'm fairly confident I could at least help somehow." he said, picking up the right tool to open up the access panel.

"So... How did this happen? It seems like a pretty serious glitch..."

"Um.." Krona started trying to remember the memory. "All I remember was, that the same man who murdered my creator, stuck a blade through my skull..." She said sitting still with her hands in her lap. "It seems like the blade damaged the chip that controls my emotions and part of my nervous system, Fisher says I'm lucky it didn't shut down my whole body permanently."

(I just got Laryngitis. Amazing...) waking up from a very long -three hour nap- nap was not Kayla's forte. She opened her eyes and looked at the clock on her bedside table. It was almost time for her usual dinner (craft dinner) did I really sleep that long? She thought. Kayla was still wearing her outfit from earlier but she must have been sweating when she was concentrating so hard earlier. Or when she practically sprinted up to the dorm either way she felt the need to change. She got up and went into her closet and changed into a pretty blue dress that was knee length and had a floral pattern on it, comlimenting her blue eyes. She looked pretty, at least she thought so but who was she to jujge her own appearence, she didn't even have a mirror in here. She walked to the door ,threw on some blue sneakers -book in hand- then walked to the lonely tree and sat down under it starting to read.

(That would work. :3 @Constellation )

"I see. If it's just a damaged chip, it might not be as difficult as I'm thinking..." he said with a little sigh, carefully removing the panel. He pulled out a small penlight and took a look inside, holding his screwdriver in his teeth.

"Then again..." he said with a little pause, gently moving her head slightly so he could see better. "This is pretty complicated. I'll do what I can." he said, carefully checking the connections.

(Yay, more people are back finally)

RIIIING,RIIING. Nikolai's alarm went off. "Ugh, well that's the end of my nap, better just go to the library and try to learn more about that weird magic ball." Thought Nikolai. As he was exploring the shelves on magic, he found an interesting book titled "Legends of Fae and Nature." Having a good feeling something about the Orb would be in that book, Nikolai found a nice corner of the library and began to study the book.

(Aw, Drink loads of medication fluids! Some doctors thought I had Mononucleolosis... It hurts to be sick, but you get to stay home from school!!)

"Thanks." Krona said staring at the door. She hoped he could fix her, but didn't want to depend too much on him. That was what had happened with Fisher... and look where it ended.

Gray smiled slightly, gently prying the damaged chip from the housing. He pulled it out and looked it over in the light, noticing the damage was pretty severe.

"No problem." he said with a little smile, setting the chip on the table. He started to disassemble it to see how badly the damage really was.

"This is pretty severe... It might take me a while to fix it." he explained, pulling out his soldering gun and a pair of glasses. He seemed a little embarrassed when he put them on, his cheeks reddening slightly.

Krona turned her head. She blinked as he examined the chip and sat still. The glasses looked kinda cute on him, if she could giggle she would've done it right now. "The processor inside the chip is most complex part... Fisher repaired a few parts of it, but it's not fully stable."

Gray scratched his head with his screwdriver, looking at the chip in thought. "I see... Well, I'll do what I can. I can't promise that I'll get everything running at 100 percent just yet, but I'll try my best" he said with a warm smile, looking over at her. He liked helping people, and the chance to help her like this was too good to pass up. He saw the way she was looking at him and tried to hide a blush, turning his attention back to the chip.

It didn't take too long to stabilize more of the processor, though he burned his fingers several times in the process. He tried to keep his cursing to a minimum, of course.

Once he finished up he moved back over to her, being careful as he put the chip back in.

"I'll be able to do more later, but I'll have to do some reading first. Do you have a user manual or anything that I can reference?"

(Leaving it up to you which features he fixed. :P )

(I'm gonna sleep so I'll post more tomorrow!)

"Um... I have a blueprint secured in my dorm." She said bluntly and pointed with her thumb. "I'll go get it quickly... It's just in my drawer."

(Alrighty. @Constellation Did you want Del to come in? I'm going to be around for a while.)

Gray smiled a little, watching her for a moment. "Yeah, sure. Do you feel any different?" he asked, excited to see if he did alright. He hoped he had done a good job, at least. Alice chirped quietly and watched her go, looking at him with a tilt of her head.

"She ran off pretty quick... I'm afraid I might have messed up..." he said, sighing quietly. The hawk just chirped and nuzzled him lightly.
