Grey Stone didn't go on the attack. "You have no business fighting us," he said in Old Realm, drawing Essence into his voice as he spoke. "As a spirit, you are obligated to do no more than your ordained duties, and those most certainly do not include possessing one of the Sun's Chosen for your own selfish ends. Now stand down, or my companions and I will surely show you no further mercy."

He was less than fond of Han-Tha right now. But his training as a sohei demanded that he try and resolve this matter peacefully first.

I'm largely doing this for the sake of keeping in character. Spending 5m of Personal Essence to activate Harmonious Presence Meditation, and doing a Threaten action on Han-Tha, in the hope that he won't consider fighting six Celestial Exalted at once to be a wise move.

Rolling with Charisma + Presence, with three bonus dice from H.P.M, and claiming one-point stunt to get two additional bonus dice. 10 successes.

Spirit-Detecting Glance (The Solar can look through the pall of reality to glimpse the realm of spirits beneath. With this Charm, the Solar can see (but not touch) immaterial spirits.)

And now, for just a moment, Glade can see Han Tha corporeal in the material world. But he know that this stay is fleeting - while Han Tha has been commanded here, he can just as easily slip this realm and return into the spirit world. So Glade acts immediately, rushing in with Root and Branch drawn / launching a dart directly at the spirit. This abomination must be brought low!

OOC - fair point, Purr Purr , let's give the options. Decisive attack with melee weapons if possible, otherwise thrown. There's no benefit to over-hitting on a decisive attack, so I'll put just a 5-point excellency into whichever one.

Rolling Dex+Melee at 17d - 5 successes;
or Dex+Thrown at 13d - 7 successes

on hit, rolling 10d initiative as Lethal damage - 2 levels.

(OOC Note: I am posting in here just to keep my mind in my character's. I've put waaay too much effort into O Mighty Fat Cat to lose him to lack of posting. =) )

O Mighty Fat Cat waits for his moment to pounce. Oh, how there was going to be a beating on Han Tha when the opportunity presented itself! Now that Han Tha and Filial Wisdom were separated, the wicked Han Tha was... how did the hunters of the Celestial Wildlands put it? Ah yes!

"Fair game!"

Still, Da Chonk cannot not help but marvel at the efficiency, grace, and deadliness of Silent Glade's attack. O Mighty Fat Cat thought of the many creatures he shared the jungles of his upbringing with and how Silent Glade shamed them all!

It was one more reason, the youthful Lunar thought, why Solars were at the top of his perceived food chain. "Praise Luna!" thinks he.

Praise Luna that he has so many mighty friends!

When Grey Stone uses his Threaten action on the spirit, Han Tha lets out a loud laugh. "What? Surrender? After existing for so long as the Deliberative's #1 target for destruction? I have faced far more powerful Exalts than you and here I am! Bring it, little man!"

Then Glade makes his surprise attack, but even so, the evil spirit in front of you swings is claw in a nasty arc to knock Glade's projectile aside before it can hit; "If that is the best you cam do, you should run now and avoid further embarrassment."

Purr Purr is now up to attack or do whatever maneuver that comes to mind.

Unable to speak, but quite able to think, O Mighty Fat Cat thinks, "Dat remains to be seen, O Malevolent Cocky Loudmouth!" Then O Mighty Fattest Cat attempts to bring it!

Studying Han Tha's defenses closely and icily, O Mighty Fat Cat calls upon the very best of his combined Lunar abilities to suddenly explode upon the malevolent spirit. His tactic? Just as every bit unusual and unique as he is - using his Martial Art technique - Falling Scythe Slash - combined with his Finding the Needle Lunar Charm to outthink Han Tha's defenses.

If successful, O Mighty Fat Cat hopes to grapple Han Tha; if he can use his incredibly-large paw to flatten Han Tha, his Circle will be that much more able to strike the hated spirit!

Thinking turns to praying as O Mighty Fattest of Cats turns and curls his gargantuan Wyld-shaped Spirit form about, his enormous eyes staring for an opening. His quickly-beating heart and trembling spirit join as he prays within himself!

O Blessed Luna! Upon de tombs of your fallen heroes, we fight! For de sake of Rathess, her people, and Filial Wisdom, guide my mind and body! Let me strike true for justice long-deserved! In your holy name - My Luna!

Fat Cat's mighty paw slams into the angry Han Tha in his torso, causing him to let out a loud 'woosh' of air and doubles him over. He is not Crashed, but you certainly got his attention.

The badly wounded Celestial Lion turns away from his efforts to scatter the fear-filled mortal force and says, "Hold him here and I will be back with reinforcements momentarily." It then turns and sprints into the necropolis.

Filial Wisdom takes a deep breath, spending Essence on Charms. He maintains his position with Amara between him and the spirit.

Going onto round 3. Purr Purr is up with Fat Cat. Don't forget that everyone gets 5m back at the start of the new round.

O Mighty Fat Cat cannot speak in in this, his most terrible form - his Spirit-animal form in Mountainous Expression. If ever there was a physical form for O Mighty Fat Cat's most desperate situations, this, he realizes, is it. It is not just his size, it is his mentality. He is held to a higher standard - not just for his love of Luna, his Circle, or this very Luna-loved earth that are the Tombs of Rathess, but for Filial Wisdom and his freedom and the many human souls following him.

Grabbing up Han Tha, O Mighty Fat Cat tears into that most-vile of spirits with all of the animal that he is! The Celestial Wildlands are not called the Wildlands for nothing - animals, feed, fight, breed, and die all of the time.

O Mighty Fat Cat attacks with his spirit, his mind, and his body - as one. His only thought?

"You fight wit everyting you have because you are fighting for everyting you have!!

Fat Cat and Han Tha struggle against one another, each trying to get an advantage over the other. Then, when Fat Cat's teeth and claws find purchase in the flesh of the hateful spirit, Han Tha lets out a pained scream as he suffers under the effects of the Lunar's attack.

3 - Fat Cat

Seeing that Fat Cat has Han Tha in his grip, Amara shifts her grip slightly on her Daiklave and launches herself up into the air with an angry cry. As she descends from the top of her leap, her anima explodes in divine light as she powers her sword Destiny down into a savage attack. Great Sol, let us end the existence of this hateful spirit! In your name I fight!

Evocations of Destiny
A user of Destiny may change the result of one die on an attack or damage roll, moving it up or down one digit. For example if a player rolls seven dice with the results “5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 2, 10,” they can change one of the dieʼs digits. In the above example, they might change the “6” up one digit to a “7” thus adding an additional successes. The magic of Destinyʼs evocations directly relates to the numbers rolled on dice. As such some players may also choose to decrease a number rolled.

When a player rolls their attack and it has three “7s” the user increases their weapon parry by 1 for three actions. Should they roll three “7s” again they may increase their parry by an additional 1, to a maximum of their (Melee or Martial Artist, whichever skill they use with Destiny), or extend the duration by 1 action, to a maximum of five actions.

Evocations of Fire Dancer
A user of Fire Dancer may place one of their Intimacies, which must be Defining, as their “innermost desire”. While the Intimacy is set and Fire Dancer is worn the user increases their Withering Damage by 4 when fighting for a cause related to the Intimacy.

Despite the best efforts of Han Tha to keep from getting ripped apart and impaled, Fat Cat has him well under control, giving Amara a near-perfect chance to plant her blade deep into the heart of the spirit. As she comes down from her leap, you can see that Han Tha has the knowledge that this is going to be the end of his long existence. Amara's Diaklave pierces the flesh of the hateful spirit, plunging deep into it.

Han Tha lets out a spasm that throws both Amara and Fat Cat off of him, but that seems to be the end of his strength. A dark, viscous fluid is flowing freely out of his mouth and the numerous wounds inflicted by the Lunar champion as he struggles to rise. Just when it appears to be that he will be able to rise, Han Tha collapses and goes limp, showing that he has reached the end of his life. The only complaint that you now have is that Fat Cat has a very bad taste in his mouth, and has the immensely strong desire to spit out the hunk of flesh that he ripped free with his bite and to not swallow it. Even after that, it is only due to the constitution of the Lunar that is keeping him from being sick to his stomach.

End of combat time. Well done, everyone.

What do you do now?

With a series of pained and disgusted expressions, O Mighty Fat Cat spits out the vile flesh of the demon-thing onto its putrid corpse. Then, unable to stand it any longer, the Lunar's immense form quickly shrinks, lessening in size until he is his furless human size once more. As soon as he has the hands to do it, Da Chonk reaches into (whatever people in Exalted use for his toiletries) and begins brushing his teeth like a man possessed.

As soon as he is able to speak, he says only, "Luna as my witness!" and "Dat was de most... disgusting... ting I have eva done!"

But one look in his energetic eyes will tell you - he has no regrets! Victory gained, a peacefulness begins to descend upon his muscled body and a serenity takes his mind like a soft blanket before sleep-time. There, the Lunar seems to pray inwardly for long moments.

Then he opens his eyes and gladly gazes upon his Circle. He is smiling again. Even in the direction of Filial Wisdom. "My Circle! It is done! Han Tha has met his end at de end of a Solar blade! Blessed Luna be praised!"

Amara raises up her blood covered sword and lets out a victory cry. Breathing heavily and glowing bright, she finally composes herself enough to wipe the gore from Destiny and sheath it before going over to Fat Cat and gives him a quick, firm embrace with her one good arm. "Dear friend, I owe you for restraining that vile spirit long enough to allow me to place the final blow. This is a victory for all of Creation, seeing a filthy monster like this put down." She reaches up and brushes a stray lock of hair from her face as she smiles at the big Lunar. "And I am sure that the bad taste in your mouth will prove to be worth the sacrifice!" She ends up by giving a playful punch to the shoulder of Fat Cat.

Turning to face Filial Wisdom, she asks of the Solar, "So, now the question is, what do we do with you? What is your story, Filial? What brought you to this place on this day? Can you remember?"

The wounded man slowly moves over to a nearby chunk of masonry and sits, making no move towards his sword that he had plunged into the ground in front of him. With one hand holding a rag to try and stop the flow of blood from his wounds, he shrugs. "Honestly, I don't remember much. It is like I was looking at everything I was doing through a dirty glass, sort of able to see but much was blocked." He shakes his head, and quickly seems to regret doing that as he struggles to stay seated on his rock. "I - I remember coming here, many years ago. It was . . . a trial I thought I was ready to take on. It seems I was wrong."

As he talks, a group of four Celestial Lions followed by two humans on horseback come running up, with the wounded Lion taking up the rear spot. The Lions are focused on the fallen spirit, but the two humans, a man and a woman, seem to be more interested in the Circle. The lead Lion examines the body, then turns to his fellows. "This form of Han Tha is dead, but he was not felled by the needed Charms to keep him from reforming in his Sanctum. It is probably nearby; and if we can find it now while he is weakened, his final destruction will be assured."

While the Lion talks, the man slips off of his horse and takes a few steps forward. He offers up a respectful bow, then says, "Greetings, Noble Exalts. I am Korran Vesta, and my companion over there is Bera. I thank you for helping to rid Creation of this abomination, even if it is only for a short time. I had long suspected that Han Tha had a Sanctum somewhere in the area around Rathess; this gives me more reason to think so." He looks around at everyone with a pleasant expression on his face. "May I enquire as to what would bring so many Chosen to this old city?"
