Hey there, just had a question about the timeline! Between the thirty-three years of the first recorded appearance of the virus and the present day, around when did the government collapse?

glad to hear it! i'm also limiting each person to just one character for now, just so we can try and involve as many people as possible. (that being said, if you do end up making the cast, that's something we could totally discuss some more.)
 
Oh, no worries, I personally prefer only to play one character! I just like to diversify my options, haha.
 
oh that's so great. truthfully i didn't expect this many of you to get working on these applications as soon as you did, but i kind of forgot that most of us are home right now.
 
yeah, knowing that so many others all over the globe are going through the same thing kinda makes me feel better about my own situation lmao
but having this many ppl interested also has something to do with the fact that u thought of a great, intriguing concept for this rp!!
and i guess our irl situation just adds to the appeal? at least for me it does haha
here's hoping that our world ends up better than our characters', tho
 
I'm always pretty free to be honest - but nevermind has a good point, haha, I really like the idea! A lot of postapoc scenarios end to be zombies and stuff, but this one seems really well thought out and a more interesting take, I think. Plus it's topical!
 
aw fuckin shucks y'all!! and yeah in all honesty, i was really fed up with how inaccurate or improbable a lot of zombie au's are written up? i study cell bio and infectious diseases in uni and i wanna go to grad school to study immunology or virology, so i was really just like. fuck it. we're writing this
though i am surprised more people don't play around w lyssaviruses bc those things are scary!! like rabies turns you more or less into a zombie (me: but what if it was worse). the cordyceps fungus idea in tlou is also cool but realistically fungal infections take a super long time to colonize a healthy person

tl;dr, i am only motivated by spite for the sake of science

My ultimate fear is rabies because I tell everyone it essentially zombifies you but no one seems to care lmao I'm like EXCUSE ME WE HAVE ACTUALLY ZOMBIES AND Y'ALL OUT HERE PETTING RANDOM RACCOONS
