Lux caught it, spun around to keep its momentum, and backhand threw it directly at Kqidons for revenge. He had a small smile under the helmet, and his faceplate had a : )

Talia watched as Lux dodged the first goop ball, and smirked. She raised her arm back and slung some more goop at his face, and then another, half expecting him to do the same trick.

He saw the goop coming, and dodged his head to the left, letting it whiz into the wall behind him. He slapped the other ball away, scooping up its remains, and throwing it at Talia with spot on accuracy, and pretty good velocity.

Talia huffed in annoyance when she ‘missed’, but yelped when she saw the other goop ball coming straight at her. She raised her shield in front of her, it buzzing to life quickly as the goop slapped onto it. “Haha!” She cried triumphantly, before grabbing more goop and throwing it at Bowe, and then another at Lux.

Bowe caught the goop thrown at her, but before throwing it, noticed Susan's expression and froze on the spot. "...Are you OK?" Bowe asked her. "Bowe just noticed your expression, and is already worried..."

Lux let this one hit him for the sake of fun, then heard Bowe. He looked over at Susan, and then his smile died under the mask, and the smile on his faceplate winked out.

Talia laughed as it hit Lux, and was about to throw another. Her laugh died in her throat as she saw Susan, and she put the goo back.

Susan then clears her throat. "I am to assume that you all are done goofing off?" Susan sternly asked them all, cementing her no-funny-business nature.

Bowe figuratively froze more intensively, seeming surprised. She frowned and looked down. "Oh... Bowe was only asking..." She said in a downed tone, sighing heavily and trying to help, though reluctantly now. Regardless, Bowe tried her best to help, trying to mask the damage to her mood. When you're surrounded by several other and 'brighter people' in terms of how they are, you tend to forget the serious ones sometimes.

Lux steps up to defend the group. “We are about to go up against one of the biggest threats to the galaxy in the history of life. Forgive me for stepping out of place, but i feel that a few minutes of relaxation before an unknown amount of hours fighting is justifiable.” His faceplate reads.

Talia kept her mouth shut, choosing to pick her battles. “Yup, were good.” She murmured. She looked kinda slack faced, but shot a smile at Bowe in an attempt to cheer her up.

When Lux started speaking, she both had to agree with him, and Susan. On one hand, they kinda needed to take this threat a bit more seriously. But at the same time, a little goofing off before heading into battle was understandable.

Lux steps up to defend the group. “We are about to go up against one of the biggest threats to the galaxy in the history of life. Forgive me for stepping out of place, but I feel that a few minutes of relaxation before an unknown amount of hours fighting is justifiable.” His faceplate reads.
“Second-biggest threat, actually,” Susan corrected before refuting him. “And, though I do not enforce it, I highly discourage this type of tomfoolery during this time, especially when, just as you said, we are going to fight against the most dangerous organic threat in the known galaxy.” She then approaches Lux, staring at the eyeholes of his mask despite the captain merely being 5-foot 9-inches. "Any more rebuttals, soldier?"

He thought about it. "None but that I apologize on the behalf of everyone here." His faceplate read, bowing a little as she read it in respect.

Susan nods at this before gesturing towards a nearby ship. “Ma’arz, you’ll look after Hamele in the lab’s medical bay. Rewby, Lux, Bowe, Talia, Kqidons. Get in. I’ll explain the game plan on how to take care of the hive in there.” She ordered as she pulls up a ship fob and approached the shuttle. Before Lux can follow her, Ma’arz quickly tapped on his back to get his attention. “Hey, Lux. So, I’m sure you never held onto a Martian Disintegrator Ray in your life...” He begins.

He turned to face him. "That is correct, although I have been lucky to see one. Why do you say this?" His faceplate reads, Lux very curious.

CE582950-981B-4CE9-93FD-FEC906CB4539.jpegWell, since you are going to fight against the hive of a powerful species, I’d thought you’re gonna need some more firepower. So...” He grabs his Disintegrator Ray, the powerful handheld weapon usually issued only for Martian elite squadrons. “I want you take my Disintegrator Ray, for now.” He offered.

He took the gun silently, testing its weight and sights at a wall. He then turned to Ma'arz. "How much ammo does it have? And how fast can it shoot? How loud is it? Sorry for the burst of questions, but I'm running stealth and recon."

“One shot per ammunition. Fires at 20 miles per hour. 75 decibels, at least.” Ma’arz quickly responds as he points at the weird brain-like part of the weapon. “That’s the ammunition right there. Looks weird, I know.” He points out as he pulls out two small canisters from his belt. “The ammo is usually contained in these. Please handle it with care when reloading.” He warns.

"So about the sound of an alarm clock. Noted. I'll be sure to use it only if I have to. Now, how do I reload it?" His faceplate reads.

"Well, since it's already freshly loaded, I'll try to explain." He said as he gestures a horizontal line around the canister. "Once you unload the D. Ray, and you'll know when to unload it since the ammunition goes grey when used, you open the canister up and softly grab the ammunition," He explains as he moves his hands around like he's pretending to reload a D. Ray. "And I emphasize on softly since the ammo pulsates with destructive energy. Then, you carefully place the ammo onto the compartment and close it up."

Talia stayed silent as the Captain and Lux spoke, wondering how on earth Susan could stand next to Lux and seem more intimidating. As soon as she said ‘get in’, Talia saluted and got in the ship. She waited for the others, and chose a seat.

"Got it. I understand you're placing trust in me. Anything else I should know?" His faceplate reads as he turns to board the ship so it isn't delayed further.

"Clean it out before giving it back to me. I don't want it to have any Formic-based sludge." Ma'arz requested before waving goodbye and leaving the hangar, as Kqidons and Rewby enter the shuttle as Susan ordered.

Talia smiled as Lux sat down next to her, and whispered so she wouldn’t be heard. “Not sure how you aren’t intimidated by Captain, but props to you.” She said,
