Jordan rolled his eyes at John's immediate claim to being captain like he had done something worth while. "If you were leading a pirate group I'm almost sure that they'd be infamous not being worth the Navy's time. That said, I'm nowhere near suited to be captain of a ship even though I'm probably on of the highest bounties in this bar if not the island...That's not a boast...I just figure that if I do join your crew...whichever of you the crew belongs to, it would be unfair of me not to warn you that the Navy has a special bug up its arse about me...so you could say that I'm not opposed to you leading the crew. However," Jordan turned his head to Lars, "If given the choice I'd choose you to be captain." Jordan paused after saying that and put his hand to his chin, according to John, who while clearly an idiot was not to be taken lightly, there was a Shichibukai on this island and he had picked up on it. He gave a thoughtful look in the direction of August, he might have words with him later as Jordan wanted to test exactly how strong he was but turned back to the two potential captains. "My only request is that if we are buying a ship, I would like for a good amount of the mast to be metal. That way I can fight other ships more freely without fear of going down with them."

August sized up the potential captains looking them up and down, and they all seemed like they could be decent. "Well look at it this way, while you all would make great captains I wouldn't pick any of you to be mine. "Lars you've already told a lie about yourself in exaggerating your bounty to make yourself look cool, a captain should never lie to his crew mates, potential or otherwise. John your way too cocky, which isn't something that you really want in a captain, I've seen a million pirates die before their time because they got cocky. And Jordan your too modest, and that being said you don't seem like you want the captain seat all that much, a captain should be confident, I'm not saying brag, but you shouldn't say your not suited to be a captain" he said finishing off with his words of wisdom. "That being said if you Lars could prove your worth that 200,000, which is still pretty small, and you John could prove that the cockiness your showing is more than just that you'd both make fine captains. Jordan you just need to put yourself out there more" He said.

"Now that being said John, yes I am with Bella, but I've already stated that to the group, so I really doubt you could tell if that emo bitch is anywhere near by" He said with a laugh. "August..." A woman said behind him. "Shit" was the only word August managed to get out of his mouth before being bitch slapped with a sea stone scabbard through the bar and the wall behind it. "Are you crazy!" August shouted. "DON'T RUN OFF ON YOUR OWN WAS THE LAST FUCKING THING I SAID TO YOU" Bella shouted loudly at august. "You're lucky I have haki, that hit could have killed me!" August shouted back. "I've been looking all day for you instead of getting actual things done, then I come back to find you drinking with a bunch of wanna be pirates, some who have bounties! I'm so tired I don't even want to deal with them right now!" She said walking through the hole in the wall and grabbing August by the back of his Kimono. She began to drag him through the streets, as he looked back towards the bar with the biggest 'help me' look on his face ever.

John roared with laughter, the force of the hit knocking his hood off. "Heya Bells, how's the crew?" He said giving her a friendly wave. He then stopped himself, wait how did he know her? Eh, probably met her some time. He clutched his head. Ow. That actually hurt. Headache. Ow. He shook his head. Yeah he knew her. In his head she sat on her knees in front of a massive figure. It began to punch towards her. Another figure appeared, its fist met the first and they cancelled. He shook his head again, weird. Who were they? Were did he fit in? He thought again, yeah he probably would have grabbed her. That was it. He just couldn't remember the grabbing part. He probably just drank too much after and forgot about it. That made sense. He nodded as he could now see himself grab her and take her away from the man and the large figure while the man fought the giant with fist and a blade. "I see his observation skills need work if he couldn't feel even you behind him. Or maybe he's focused too much on combat." John rubbed his chin, not quite sure where this came from. "Either way I was about to smack the fellow myself, want me to buy you a drink? Their rum isn't bad." He said goofy grin still on his face.

Sariah watched the conversation take place as she ate her burger. Finally, some real food. She had already decided she'd follow Lars around, but having John with them would be cool as well. Maybe they could be co-captains? That would be so much fun! Imagine! If a strong captain allows for a strong crew, imagine one with TWO strong captains! The places they'd go and the people they'd meet, and the fights they would partake on!
She grinned, lost in her own little world of sunshine and imagination, as she chewed on her food. The only thing that managed to get her back to the real world was the sound of a terrible slap against August's face. "Ouch", she couldn't help but say that out loud, grimacing a little. This woman looked tough as all hell, and she couldn't imagine that getting a slap from her would be too pleasant.
And then it hit her. This was Bella the shichibukai! Sariah blinked several times and rubbed her eyes. Such a strong, amazing pirate right in front of her, in all her beautiful glory. She gawked as the angry lady dragged August by the neck of his clothes, and then poked Lars' shoulder. "John is friends with her?? ...HOW AWESOME IS THAT", she tried to whisper but ended up exclaiming that in her full voice.

Markest Steel

Markest watched as the Lars and John began trying to recruit for there crews once again. It was an interesting sight. August telling the group two potential leaders their flaws was also an interesting to hear. Markest nodded and raised his bottle to that. But watching August get attacked and dragged away by his captain, Bella, made Markest laugh outloud. Markest never seen one of the Shichibukai before so this was a very interesting sight. Markest then took a big sip of his drink as August got dragged away. Though he would almost spit it all out as John, the most crazy and idiotic want to be pirate acted like he knew and was friends with one of the Shichibukai. "Wait a second do you know her? You a man who does not understand what crime is, at all, knows a Shichibukai?" Markest said looking at John with a face of out right surprise.

But After saying that Markest noticed John had his head in his hands like he was pain. Markest was going to ask if he was okay but it seems John recovered quickly. "Kid if your offering a drink I'll take one" Markest said with a sigh.

“Sure I’ll join Besides I need a way off this Island.” Well everything seem to being ok now. People were agreeing with joining the crew but a woman whose name for some reason Emma can never remember came practically out of no where and bitch slapped August. Apparently that was his captain. As he got dragged away Emma ran up to the whole in the wall watched. “Um shouldn’t we help him?” She turned to look at the others but they seem to have no interest. So she shrugged and waved at August. “Bye August guess I’ll see you around! Good luck with the scary lady!” She turned back around to the others but someone caught her eye. A man seem to be looking her way. “Oh looks like a i got another costumer.” She samg to herself. She walked over to the table that was in the corner away from everyone and sat down looking at the man. “So whatcha need?” She glanced at the others then back at the man. “Be quick cant have anyone asking me questions.”

"Yeah, that is pretty awesome," Lars replied to the little girl.

He then turned to the other gentleman who had singled him out as being captain-worthy. "Look, friend, I'd love to have you on my crew, but you heard what that fellow said. I lied about my bounty, and that won't do in a captain, rookie or otherwise." He drained his glass before continuing. "Plus, from the looks of you, you're probably big-leagues, with an actual bounty. Wouldn't it be pretty embarrassing for a guy with a bounty probably somewhere at least in the hundred thousands to let someone with a mere 200 Berry bounty be his captain?"

Secretly, though, he was hoping that the gentleman persisted in trying to join his crew.

Jordan disregarded August's evaluation of him, the fact that he knew his name even though it was never given meant that there was no doubt left in his mind that he was in fact part of a Shichibukai's crew. A feeling that was confirmed when he was assaulted and dragged out of the bar. The entire time Bella talked and moved, Jordan never took his eyes off her almost like a predatory animal, he stared at the direction Bella had left in before turning to John and Lars. "As I have said, whichever one of you leads I'll follow. Ah, I should introduce myself though... I am Jordan Grace." There was a chance that the bounty hunter overheard that, but he Jordan wasn't going to hide who he was. He wasn't sure whether or not Lars or John had ever seen his bounty but at some point it would need to be addressed, might as well be now.

Bella and August​

Bella Glared back at John from the road where she was dragging August. She instantly let August go and shot a look of anger in Johns direction. "No I dont want a god damn drink" she said, holding back what she wanted to say and tried to keep it professional. August looked up at her and stared for a minute. "You know John?" August asked. "Yeah I know him, we will talk more on this when we get back to the ship" She replied. "Do not assume we are still friends after all these years Drake, you left me no choice but to do this" she said calling John by his last name as she use to before. She removed her sword from her scabbard and moved it down towards the ground. the wind in the area suddenly stopped completely. "I just stopped all wind currents around the island. You wont be able to leave on a ship now until nature decides to reset my ability, which should be a few days tops, but I'll have you all captured come morning" she said. She turned away from the bar and looked at August "Come on time for me to get some rest".

The two arrived back on Bellas ship when the moon was high in the sky. "But Bella, you really dont have to capture pirates if you dont want to, your job is to assist the world government not hunt down every pirate" August said. "Shut up, now that hes here it makes this a whole different ball game" She said. "I'll draw them in, Drake isn't likely to leave behind any potential crew members, that girl that was there, we kidnap her tonight and use her to draw them in. Freddy go into town and retrieve her while she sleeps, Antari you go and spread rumors that we have taken her, it will draw them in. As for you August work on infusing your weapon with Haki, there was a kid there tonight who I recognized from a wanted poster. He uses a logia type fruit, I want you to be the one to capture him" She said. Each of the crew members went on to do their jobs while Bella rested in her cabin and prepared for a battle.

Jordan Grace... Lars fingered his chin. The name sounded familiar, but he couldn't quite place his finger on it. Still, though, he hadn't changed his mind, despite Lars' listings of his inadequacies. Which was perfect. And John didn't seem to want to take him, so...

Lars extended a hand to Jordan. "Lars Gatlingheim. Welcome to the crew of the Stacker Pentecost, friend. Glad to have you as our third member." He ruffled the young girl's hair playfully with his free hand at the last phrase, as a subtle way of informing her that, without really formally applying, she had made the crew, too.

Sariah blinked in confusion. "I thought you were friends?", she asked John, tilting her head slightly. If Bella was for real, then they were probably in trouble. Well, not her specifically, but if she tried to hurt any of her new friends she would have to intervene. That thought made her both worried and excited, and a grim look settled on her usually joyful face, the thought of battling against a Shichibukai crew making her a little nervous. But her bright attitude returned after Lars spoke again.
Sariah giggled as Lars ruffled her hair; it reminded her of the way Martin patted her head whenever she managed to master a movement, or another level of armament hakki. She looked at him with a big grin and nodded, understanding the message. They were now crewmates, and Lars was her new captain. The first step towards achieving her dream had been taken. There was no use in worrying about what would come tomorrow on her own -she had a family now!
"Do you think we'll have to fight Miss Tatch's crew? We won't be able to leave otherwise, apparently", she asked Lars with big eyes, and then turned to John, "we should all team up!".

John got up with a smile. "Yeah must be hard trying to follow up an act like me." He looked to the others, "You best prepare for trouble. Or you can run. Looks like she really missed me. I haven't seen her this ready to fight in a while." He stopped and thought for a moment, that was totally weird. Why would he say that? Oh well, probably because he was a super awesome super tough pirate. "Hey, I want one thing clear." He said crossing his arms, "No one is to engage Bells except me. Only a big leagues major pirate like myself can take a big leagues major pirate like her." He gave a wolfish grin, hooking a thumb to himself. " He looked to the others, "Yeah I don't remember specifics, but I think we met a few times. Makes sense since I'm such a scary pirate." He rubbed his chin, "I could staccato and leave the island... But that's hardly fun." He patted Lars' shoulder, "Hey, you wanna be captain right? Well so do I. Best thing a captain can do at a time like this is prepare." He said, not noticing that there was a certain thief missing this exchange.

Looked like Emma had another job. She shook the stranger’s hand and then he left. She walked back over to the others who seem to bhave e talking about joining the crew and what not. “Hey! Jordan stared at John when he said they were in for a fight, his eyes furrowed in annoyance and frustration. Of course it would be too easy for him to expect that a Shichibukai would over look a group of beginning pirates...they were essentially sellout cowards who the Marines kept on a leash. Jordan let out a snort of anger and turned to John, "As it stands right now, you two can't decide who's going to be captain so I don't have to follow that order. Shichibukai or not, if she comes at me, well...Speculation isn't my thing, if it comes down to it I'll defend myself." Jordan looked at his hand and clenched it into a fist, he could feel the flow of lightning coursing through his body...well, his body WAS lightning so he always felt it. He let out a sigh and clenched his fist tighter, apparently there was no honor among pirates if one would sell others out to the Marines. Jordan was NOT going back to being a slave....no way in hell. "At any rate," Jordan saw Sariah looking a bit worried about the situation, well she should be. From what he had heard of Bella and her crew, there was no way this was going to be simple. He put a hand on her head and lightly ruffled her hair to reassure the girl that it wasn't going to be bad. "Since we're part of the same captainless crew, I'll make sure we get out of this no worse for wear."

"Wow you guys are in trouble, you have a Shichibukai coming after you." Markest said with a slightly chuckle. But the he stopped chuckling quick when John said he was going to be the only one to fight Bella. "Your joking kid, right? You can't take on a Shichibukai let only alone win... Unless this is all an act and you are more then just a moron who doesn't know what crime really is" Markest said looking to John his narrowed as he went from confused to suspicious of John. Markest wasn't excepting much from this insane man but if has a history with a Shichibukai and can take one on this was man to keep an eye on. "Kid if you can take her on then you maybe more then all talk." Markest said finishing his bottle. "I'm interested in seeing that fight... And how the rest of ya'll take on the crew that she have hunt you down" Markest continued with a grin.

Sariah raised an eyebrow in confusion. "He said he'd do it so he will, right?", she spoke, in reply to everyone's doubts regarding John's claim that he would fight Bella alone. "I mean, you said you were a dangerous pirate. And also my tummy tells me you are strong, and it's usually correct!", that's what she called her gut feelings. She gave John a thumbs up and a toothie grin, like saying 'i believe in you!'.
She then stretched her arms and yawned, "do you guys think we can leave the fighting for tomorrow? I really want to get some sleep after eating all that". She rubbed her eyes and yawned again. She hadn't realized how late it had gotten, and then she felt a hand ruffle her hair again.
She looked at Jordan and smiled wide, "and miss a fight? No way!", she pointed at her with a confident look that she hadn't showed until then, "I'm tougher than I look!".

 

[The Hero]

Location: Somewhere in the East Blue

Bin and Aki were quickly approaching the two boats, quickly turned three then two once again as the third boat capsized. "Hey did that girl on the boat just fall in?" the taekwondo practitioner wondered, blinking in amazement at what had just transpired. She didn't get a response though as Aki dove into the water. "Hey, you can't swim," Bin growled, angered by her companion's thoughtless actions. She took notice of the other boy that dove after the girl; she assumed he was much more capable of handling the situation than her idiot. She could feel Aki quickly sinking. He acted like a stone in water. "Gah," she grunted, "I didn't want to swim today." Holding her breath, she dove into the water. Her leg strength propelled her through the water, rapidly approaching the sinking devil-fruit user. She grasped his hair and pulled him to the surface. "You're a joke in water," Bin gasped, tossing Aki back onto the boat. He in return vomited all the water he swallowed. "Thanks," he said in between breaths, "was the girl saved?" Bin rolled her eyes. "No, she died and her ghost is right there," she responded, pointing towards the breaching duo. Aki nodded, sitting back into the boat.

A group of marines finally had cornered Aslan, but he didn't seem to worried. in fact, he seem more amused then worried." For the last time, im not a rat..im ferret. There's a huge difference ya know. See my ears? they aren't round and as for my tail..it haves fur on it." the ferret mink huffed."So yeah, know that i explained it to ya, how about we go our seprate ways ya? chasing me is completely pointless..your not going to catch me."

The marine grunted. his eye twitched in annoyance. "Cheeky little brat...get the mink! but our orders is was not to kill." this large marine had seem to be the leader of the group."Damn assassins.. you will regret showing your faces around here."

Aslan stuck his finger in his ear, placing one hand on his hip."You guys don't give up huh? Well ok..you ask for it. Ok, i'll play your game for three minutes...if ya catch me, then i'm going back to my job ok?" Aslan begin to dodge the attack's easily, making them look like fools. Three minutes came by faster then he thought."Ok, game over." The mink drew his blades, which begin to jump with electric." Electro Blade: Spark jump dance!." With swift moments, Aslan begin to take down the surrounding marines. As he attack, it looked as if Sparks where jumping around around the battlefield

"K, done. Time to get back to this boring job, grab some grub and maybe find me some ladies while im out it." A confused look came across Aslan's face...did it get dark suddenly. nope, it was just a massive marine behind him." Oh damn, your a big guy..."

Ryden Bexin

Ryden swam to the Vaan's boat with one arm, and he found it unsurprisingly hard. His leg movement was limited because the girl whom he saved had her legs stationary, so he did his best to keep them from sinking. The red-haired girl was light, but he still found it hard to keep balanced in the water. He kept swimming slowly but surely until he gets hold of Vaan's boat. Finally, he reached the boat. 1... Ryden held the girl's foot firmly. 2... He held her elbow. 3...! Ryden lifted the girl up to get the girl on to the boat. It was actually hard without touching any weird spots. If he was going to save a man, well, he'd just throw them with all his might on to Vaan's boat.

Ryden climbed up on to his boat and put held his hand with a thumbs up, signaling to the second boat with two persons in it that the girl was okay. As he looked at the boat, one of them probably tried to save the girl, but ended up sinking themself. Luckily, that person's partner looked liked they saved them. "Check her, Vaan. I'm... I don't have enough medical or rescue knowledge to take care of her." He said. It was true, but he just wanted to rest for a little bit.

"Uh, John? I really don't think you should go picking a fight with a Shichibukai. You said yourself that you only have a 50 Berry bounty, and while you seem pretty good with that stick of yours, I don't think you're good enough to take on a full-blown emperor of the sea. Maybe you should just... sit back down, think this over?" Lars really didn't like where this was going, and the others egging him on wasn't helping. Despite his ego, he liked John, deep down, and didn't want him to get killed. "Maybe get some rest? It is late, you know."

He stood up and gestured to his crew. "If we're going to get any fighting done tomorrow, we should probably take that last bit of advice ourselves. C'mon. We can spend the night in my ship." To the girl who had disappeared, then reappeared, still asking to join a crew, he said, "You're welcome to come with us, if you want. I'll hold a formal interview tomorrow."

Emma smiled, “Awesome! I’m Emma by the way.” Awesome looked like she would have a place to sleep tonight. She was going to pay for a room but that didn’t seem to be needed now. She was about to head out but she then realized she had no idea where his ship was. “Hey Lars which ship is yours? I’ll be coming by later got some.......buisness to take care of.” Should be a easy job someone wanted a devil fruit stolen. They didn’t tell her what kind it was but she know the fruit once she saw it. Actually she really had no interest in Devil fruits so she probably wouldn’t.

John gave a large, loud yawn and stretched, "Relax, all of you. I've fought her before." John stopped after he realized what he said, "Wait I've fought her before? Weird. Anyway I'm pretty confident everything will be fine. I promise if she goes after any of you, I'll stop her." He gave a grin and spun his staff, "Seastone can't hurt nearly as much if you're unlucky enough to be sans devil fruit. If you're that worried you can just say you're not part of my crew and beg to be let go, it's me she wants anyway." He began walking towards the door, "I'm gonna stay in town. All of you get some rest okay? If you need me, check some of the local hotels, I'll be sure to be loud." Lars waved goodbye to John. "Take care, fella. See you tomorrow, hopefully. Maybe." Mentally, he kicked himself. Fella? Really??

To the new recruit, Emma, he answered her question as they approached the docks where his ship was. He pointed at the vessel, which looked even more pitiful next to some of the more recent arrivals. "There she is," he said. "The Stacker Pentecost. It's not much but it's what we have. Look, Emma, if you're going to conduct some business at this hour, I'd really try to avoid being out till the wee hours of the night without protection." He offered her one of his pistols, the one that hadn't belonged to his mother. "Take this. At the very least, it'll make you seem extra intimidating. Hopefully, you won't have to use it."

Emma took a look at the ship. Seemed fine to her ships weren’t really something she was picky about. “K!” She was about to leave but Lars seem to have something else to say. Apparently he was worried about her being late into the night without protection. He wouldn’t say that if he knew who I was. She took the gun and thought for a moment. “Um thanks but I don’t think I’ll need. It I use to carry gun but never used it so I gave it away. Thanks for the thought but I don’t need one.” She handed the gun back to him headed out and before anyone could notoce she made her way on top of the tavern to get a good look around. “Now let’s see.....”

location- the west blue: docking at ebony isle

Ebony Isle. A place where the soil was black, the sand was hot, and the pirates were aplenty, aspiring or otherwise. Like several other islands throughout the world's oceans, Ebony Isle had everything a pirate needed for the rollicking adventures ahead: shops, taverns, and of course, docks for ships.

A small, somewhat dilapidated, rowboat-looking vessel shambled its way into one of the docks, bumping up against the wooden piers as it drifted in. Its sole occupant was a rather inebriated female Oni, clad in naught but bandages and baggy trousers, lying on the floor of the boat, snuggling up to a massive drinking gourd and muttering quietly. She jolted upright as the boat knocked once more against the docks and a male voice called out, "Ahoy in there!"

The Oni struggled to her feet, her tipsiness and the motion of the boat in the water making it difficult, and flopped onto the docks. When the dockmaster asked for a docking fee, she offered him a cheeky grin and said, "I'll- hic- pay later. Pinky promise." She got to her feet once more and offered her pinky finger to the dockmaster, who reluctantly accepted it. Grabbing her drinking gourd and another massive object from the boat- her kanabo staff- she staggered into town, sing an off-key, off-color song.
