I'm interested.

I doubt you can trust me (this being a new account) but I will say this. I've beem roleplaying since 2011, have actually wanted to do something like this for a long time, am in a similar project to this (that'll work differently) and am always choc full of overarching theories.

That being said, I'd like a Co-GM spot, Captain America, Red Skull, and an OC of mine that (once you hear his backstory) can be used to connect a LOT of details in a cohesive way.
Alright I will put you to the test, if you pass then I will grant you a co GM spot.

Start with a pm with all your current ideas

Following the advice of the HP support, I am going to create an Cs thread in the regular forum. When the HP comes all you'll have to do is copy them over into their own individual threads. This is so your ideas won't evaporate with time and to give me an idea of what we're working this to continue planning things out.

Question... Is this rp going to be detailed?

I hate joining rps where I put a lot of time and effort into my characters and posts and then get a one liner in return...
I don't tend to put minimum post requirements but I guess I will make a good paragraph the posting minimum.

I am not trying to sound rude in any way, shape or form. But to me a paragraph is a one liner.

Thank you for the interest tag, but sadly I will not be apart of this rp. I hope everyone has fun with the rp and that it becomes very successful. (^_^)

Also, I’m thinking maybe a genetic experiment possibly. Someone who might be sort of adopted in to the avengers... let me know if that should change

I know. But you have seen my posts and characters in role plays.

It has nothing against any one. I just look for challenging rps with lots of detail and posts and characters I can really get into. And of course I'd rather be in an rp where there is more to a post than a few lines with no details.

I had some really cool ideas for this rp. I was gonna bring in Coal along with my idea for the first Brotherhood. About five characters all together with a really cool background as to how things got started and reasons for the rebellion for mutant rights.

But once again, I'm not a fan of one liners. I always feel very discouraged to rp when I place a lot of time and detail into something and then get a response that's like two lines long. It's like... Really? Was my post or characters that boring that you only said two words back?

*sighs* It's very frustrating to rp with one liners or tiny paragraphs. I'm sure you and others will understand. I'd rather have a challenge and not feel discouraged to post.

Good luck with the roleplay though. I hope everyone has fun. (^_^)

I understand what you mean. I will review this one with my co Gms to see what we should make the minimum requirement for a post. Whether you walk now or stick around to see the decision we reach, it's fine either way.

That's fine with me. I mean it's not like i'm leaving on a bad note. It's just that I write because I have a deep passion for it and I have been rping for over twenty years. I've been creating stories and characters since before I was six years old. I'm at that point where I know what I like and what I don't like. And I don't like putting in a lot and then get like nothing back. I'll stick around to see what the verdict is. But until something is decided on i wont be making any character sheets. (I just don't want to waist my time or my efforts for nothing. like stated, it's not against anyone. I just know what I like and know what I look for in an rp.)

I like that. Gives us a way to show our character's progress without having to rewrite it every time.

If a character is well designed and you have a good direction you want to go with the character you wont need to repeat yourself. Quality and quantity are both key in my book for a good roleplay. Thus why I am concerned about rping with those who wish to post one liners when I have placed much effort into a post and my characters. I'm not asking for a novel, i'm only asking for effort that wont make me feel like I did so much for nothing.

If you find yourself repeating your self or your character, then you are not getting creative. A CS is a foundation of a character. A guideline and a history as to where they came from and how they are at present day. Adding in future goals they wish to have only develops the character further. Making those goals a success or a failure is another form of development.

interacting in the set environment with other rpers and characters will help change those goals and help change the development for the character. this could either be good or bad for the character.

Just my opinion when it comes to this kind of topic.

I have decided to make it a poll to help make a more informed decision about the minimum post requirements? Don't despair if it ends up being more than you're comfortable with because collaboration posting will be encouraged. Even then there are some other details regarding the minimum post requirements that will be worked out.

Well, we don't know everything that will happen, and no matter how much we plan, improvisation will be required (just look at Tony Stark, the Batman of improvisational heroics). What I mean is that if we have character sheets that start with the basics, the more we add to the overall story, the more we can add to the Character sheet, and if we get new members along the way, they won't have to read everything we've done, because the character sheets will have everything summarized in a neat little package.

Dude. Do you know how hard it is to come up with three paragraphs worth of stuff when you just want your character to say something. I mean, I don't have much thought running through my head when I say stuff in real life.

Just because you aren't thinking about things doesn't mean they aren't happening. Trust me... if you're trying, you can write three paragraphs per post, at least 75% of the time.

I try to be detailed but all my posts are at night. When I'm tired and nit really thinking about things. At that point it's either a paragraph or purple prose. And none of us want the second.

If you are placing enough effort into a character yes.. You can write three paragraphs easy.

Mind you paragraphs are five to seven sentences long. Not three to five. (Just had to place that out there.)

I'm no lit major, but I do have a passion for creating stories, characters and plots. Developing them is only half the fun.

given ii honestly think 2 to 3 is fine or enough to get your point across big thing is just avoiding one liners

Did you read my above Post? I post at night. When I'm tired. And a lot of times I tend to lapse into purple prose. Besides, if I can describe an action simply and to the point I'll do that. I'm not one for long dramatic descriptions of meaningless stuff.

Like I said I'm not asking for a novel. I'm asking for a post that doesn't discourage me to not rp in this roleplay.

The GM is asking for creativity and originality. Not a one liner of 'my character stands up and says hi.' to me that is death to a character and a slap in the face to those who are here because of the love of roleplaying.
