Experiences The Weirdest Thing You've Googled for a RP

I haven't done this yet but I will and I dread it.

I want to use the character Diane Foxington from the movie The Bad Guys as a face claim. This wouldn't be weird if not for the fact that... well... I think we all know how the Furry fandom can be sometimes.

“What is gunpowder made of?”

I would be concerned if this were anyone else but you, Bitty

What does a burnt corpse smell like
What does burning flesh smell like
Can you kill someone by stomping on their throat
Throat punch
Brain amoeba zombie

Probably a bunch of weirder ones too that I don't remember atm.

"How to keep yourself warm without anything"

Shouldn't be that weird unless your character is in a freezing icy lair with ice bridges that will melt from too much warmth and crossing the bridges is the only way to get to the big boss.

THROAT PUNCH
Good God, that succinct phrase made me choke a bit on my own spit (thank you for the laugh)

also, one of the weirder ones I can remember from recent RPs is "at what temperature are dental records no longer recognizable" and "how hot can a burning plane get"......... 🫠 hey man, don't worry about it.

“What makes whiskey flammable?”

It's actually a popular misconception that you can just light alcoholic drinks on fire. Contrary to the movies, it takes a very high proof to actually light and stay on.

There was this movie with Vin Deisel, Pitch Black, where one of the characters (Paris) states that anything above a certain proof burns quite nicely. I don't remember the number they said specifically. But I DO remember that I immediately objected because I knew it was utter bullshit. Even Bacardi 151 doesn't stay lit very well and it's 75% alcohol.

So what you're saying is... I can make a whiskey cooled gaming pc???

I mean, I suppose you could. but the seals would have to be able to stand up to the alcohol content. Normal coolants are oil based. alcohol would dry out and corrode a lot of rubber-based seals. Maybe something silicone?

How to build a bomb
How to hide a body without being caught by the police
Can you make a gun at home

"What is the national wood of Costa Rica?"

I don't even remember the context anymore, but it stayed with me because of how out-of-the-way it is.

There are no national woods, by the way. But the national tree of Costa Rica is the Guanacaste. I will never use this knowledge in my life.

"Can saliva remove bloodstains?"

The answer is yes, to an extent. Writing always prompts scary bizarre questions lmao

"What was the most survivable injury for 19th century coal miner?"

Short answer: burns from methane explosions (if medical attention was promptly given).

Long answer: it depended on the mine, the company running it, if unions were involved and how volatile the mine was to fires, collapses, etc. Often times an accident would get you killed or injure you so badly it left you disabled in some way.

The reason I decided to look this up: a short story for a class about a coal mine that was actually the remains of an eldritch city. The miners blasting through what they thought was a "cave" had triggered a self-destruct mechanism and caused a number of deaths, injuries and the few unlucky survivors losing their sanity.

fish that swims up peoples penises when they pee

Weirdly enough there has only been one documented case of that ever happening.
