  Hello everyone! Welcome to the OOC thread for "Percy Jackson and the Death of Olympus". This will be the official OOC spot for everyone to discuss their characters, ideas, or other plans. Remember, I am more than open to listening to what ideas or potential routes you want to take with this! While this isn't so much a sandbox roleplay, I'm not against having side arcs or side stories that we can progress through!

  Basic rules everyone is aware of, but I'll list them nonetheless.
  
  Basic Rules:
  RPN Regulations: As always, please be sure to follow RPN rules and regulations!
  Respect: As the saying goes, don't hate the player, hate the game. Please be respectful of everyone in the RP. Hate, misogyny, bigotry, racism, homophobia, and the such are not tolerated.
  Politics: This is a roleplay with real-world themes, so politics will most likely be mentioned at some point. If such is the case, let's all be respectful about it and try not to push our own political agenda.
  
  Roleplay Rules:
  Characters: I'm not picky on what godly parent you choose for your character. As long as it isn't crazy OP and game-breaking!
  Interactions: If possible, go ahead and @ the person or character you mention to keep things smooth. Not required though!
  Lore and Information: Not everyone might be caught up with the series (myself included), or not everyone has touched up on their lore. That's fine! We can all relearn the story together, and google is a life saver.

  Themes Present:
  Comedy: I'm really aiming for this to be lighthearted and fun, so lots of comedy and comedic timing will be present.
  Action: It's PJO, action and fighting scenes are inevitable.
  Adventure: We're going to Olympus baby!

  Romance: Romance is not the main focus of this roleplay but if that is something you wish to pursue between characters, go for it!
  
  Possible Future Triggers:
  Death: Death of a character or NPC is possible, so bear that in mind. Though, I refuse to kill off OCs unless permission is given or you disappear off the face of Olympus!
  Gore: Because there is combat, there will be injuries and gore will be present. Though, I doubt it'll be too intense.
  Darker Themes: I want this to be fun, but of course, there will be some moments where that isn't the case. You may witness themes suggestive of abandonment, depression, and more to be announced.

While I'm here, I wanted to ask what everyone's preference is on ages! Most PJO roleplays start around the age 12, but I was wondering if you guys wanted to play late bloomers! Maybe 16 range?

After all, I doubt all the half-bloods are caught at the age of 12. Additionally, in this setting, there aren't as /many/ monsters roaming the world (for now, I'll throw a lore thread up soon with the main story!)

Ideally, the character wouldn't know they were a half-blood and would be forced to live with this reality after following the advice of some random on reddit. Though, I'm fine with some characters being aware of this depending on their situation. Just let me know what your thoughts are!

She has been at camp for awhile bring 17. Thing is she is a short weak little albino with none of the physical gifts others get. The main trade off is she is a top teir Smith able to weave magic easily into her creations to make marvels.

The girl I’m planning on using is 16. I have a feeling she would know because her mom was a demigod loll, but she’d laugh it off and probably just run in randomly during the meeting just be like: “AH FRICK I MISSED IT”.

Heh. Dead guy. probably gonna make him perpetually 16. Thankfully only died like twenty years ago so he can keep up with the tech and saw the reeddit post and thought, 'why not? Might be fun to see who it is.' I think he'll be a son of maybe someone strange like Zeus, though how he's in Valhalla, I don't know. Unless that's too much and then he's a son of Loki.

Yeah I'd be down to do 16 & I'm also down with the fact that everyone wouldn't know they were a half-blood! Makes for good character development.

I'm confused o.o why would Zeus be in Valhalla? Is it a new issue that I haven't read yet xD? Last I read Zeus would still be an Olympian, unless you meant Odin?

Hmm, as much as it would be dope to do other gods, I'm thinking we should stick to Greek/Roman for now since this is a PJO roleplay! Maybe later down the line we can introduce other religions/mythologies

Ahh not to be rude at all, as much as that would be adorable, I don't think it's feasible? Everyone met up via Reddit and ideally characters are around 16-ish and even if it is chill and comedic, there will be moments where that isn't the case. I just don't think a child would be a feasible idea

He carries the Earth, right? Super strength. Control of the earth. Fire bringer. Light bringer. Super smart (since he helped people be smarter with the fire). Transportation…because we used to have a book called an Atlas. XD ummmmm…..
