Kadri with a hell of a shot to win in OT! Wow. 3-1 AV’s and only need one more to stop the Bolts from getting another cup.

I know it's crazy! Good for Kadri tho! Funny, he didn't even know he scored the OTW lol!Kadri with a hell of a shot to win in OT! Wow. 3-1 AV’s and only need one more to stop the Bolts from getting another cup.
Yeah great for Kadri! I can agree there. It was a crazy and funny time though haha. I saw the replay when i got home as it was still ongoing in OT when I left the Alley. But that replay definitely showed some of that craziness.I know it's crazy! Good for Kadri tho! Funny, he didn't even know he scored the OTW lol!
There were 6 men on the ice when Kadri scores, what a taste of karma for the Lightning who went onto the ECF by beating us with one goal, which was scored AND NOT CALLED A PENALTY FOR with 6 men on the ice in 2021. Karma's a bitch Jon Cooper.Yeah great for Kadri! I can agree there. It was a crazy and funny time though haha. I saw the replay when i got home as it was still ongoing in OT when I left the Alley. I heard about that and read Coopers references to it. But… I can’t see it being a case that’s really a big deal imo. I heard McKinnon or whoever it was had been close enough to the bench that the Refs didn’t see it being a worthwhile call to make. Either way, it’s a penalty that can’t be used to reverse a goal if I recall and kharma can be brutal so Bolts shouldn’t really be crying over it. They’ve done it before. Plenty of opportunities left too. Yea, ironic to Cooper crying about them not calling something that sent them to the cup finals last year. I'm all here for Tampa's downfall.I heard about that and read Coopers references to it. Nice! Good to see the Bolts swept in the first round and CBJ doing well by making it into the playoffs and past round 1. Isles cup run getting closerMade the playoffs my first year with the Islanders after winning the President's trophy in the regular season. Swept the Tampa Bay Lightning in one round, now it's on to round 2 against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Yep! Depressing news tho, We swept CBJ and faced Detroit in the ECF where I was injured in game 1 thru a fight, the team trooped thru it and beat the second seeded Red Wings in 7 intense games to get to the final.Nice! Looks like the Habs assistant found a HC job with the Blackhawks. (Honestly kinda forgot their job was open lol.)
CBJ doing better then Tampa and some others in the East is always good though. BAP CBJ always seems to be more playoff consistent then RL CBJ sadly enough. (Least for me they always seem to be in the playoffs every year just about and winning cups or in the cup final at some point and once repeating as champs) But nice W over the CBJ squad. Detroit, nice series there by the sounds of it intensity wise and getting that win.Yep! We reach the finals an I'm out for games 1-5, when I come back, it's game 6 in Nashville against the Preds in the finals. Going into that game, our regular insane goalie is injured and we are using our back up, and we were down in the series 3-2. I got injured in game 6 by a huge hit from Tomas Hertil that had me out the rest of the finals. So we ended up winning game 6 in Nashville without me and then game 7 back on the Island, we lost 8-6 and the Nashville Predators have won the 2029 Stanley Cup, their first in franchise history lol. Stung but whatever. Now I'm the Islanders captain for this next season, my second with the Isles.
Looks like Trotz also has announced that he will not be coaching next season and will be spending time with his family at home instead.
Lol that's ironic. Nice to see ur BAP CBJ doing well tho. They put up a really good fight game 1 and 2, and then gave up after two periods in games 3 and 4 it seemed in the second round against my Isles. Detroit certainly gave us a run for our money and then Nashville beat us in the end.CBJ doing better then Tampa and some others in the East is always good though. Really tough break on the injuries though between Detroit and Nashville. Yikes. First time seeing or hearing the Preds getting it done with the Cup win, nice for them lol. Tough on the Isles though definitely a tough break. Nice on the C though being added for year 2 with the Isles.
Oh wow, after all the Trotz rumors since he got fired that comes as a shock as a non NYer and only knowing him from afar in comparison. But good for him should be a nice break and time away for the coach. Would have figured Winnipeg to be the landing spot if he did coach.
Yeah ironic. When it comes to the EC, CBJ is one of the teams I like, so nice to see them do well for a change and not stuck in the 35 win range each year and occasional playoff appearances haha. Hoping they build up with what they’ve got in RL and not down like some of the rumors I’m seeing roam about. But cool they least put up a good fight or two before giving up. Detroit and Nashville definitely sounds like they pushed the series and challenged.Lol that's ironic. Nice to see ur BAP CBJ doing well tho. Yea, tough tough break for me with the injury and the whole team for the Stanley Cup loss. Intense seven game series in both the ECF and SCF for us, ultimately lost, Nashville was just better and beat our back up goalie sadly. The team fell apart without me. I've never lost in the finals before lol, each time I made the finals we won it and took home the cup.
Tonight tho irl, we can possibly see the Avs take home the cup in Denver.
Yea, but he turned down Winnipeg's coaching job to lay low and spend some time with the family. Very respectable decision and I wish Barry the best of luck, what ever he does and where ever he choses to go.
Yea CBJ seems like a cool middle tier team that could be a little bit better, ya know? Despite being a divisional rival I don't really hate them lol, I don't wish for them to do bad. They've never really been good enough for us to hate.Yeah ironic. Definitely a tough break though. Gotta be tough losing the series like that in the finals with a tough break with the starting goalie out as well.
Yeah that will be nice if they do. Really weird to say as someone that’s not a AV’s fan, but would be nice to see them stop the Bolts from getting a third in a row.
Oh wow. Sounds like Trotz kinda knew after the Isles job he’d be taking time off then. But same, wish him the best and it’s a understandable and respectable call to lay low with the family and chill out for awhile.
Yeah agreed. Laine, Werenksi, Voracek, Merzilkins and some others…. Pretty nice base to build around to get better without needing to do too much. (On paper anyways) Yeah I see what you mean lol. They’ve never gotten that consistency for strong teams that could be a tough squad to share a division with each year. Always seem to be lacking just enough to waste some really good pieces. Which also leads to never being on either side of the table to make a difference in the franchise as well. Not strong enough to win cups or be in the playoffs enough to compete for them and also not have in the running for a franchise changing pick by being bad enough to pick in the top five or top three. Tough middle road/tier life.Yea CBJ seems like a cool middle tier team that could be a little bit better, ya know? Oh yea, real tough break. :/ Disappointed I couldn't bring the cup home to Long Island.
Yea definitely agree as a non-Avs fan, but not an Avs hater tho.
Mhm, possibly. I'm kinda selfish and a little glad that if the Isles can't have Trotz, no one can lol.
Exactly. On paper, that team doesn't look too bad.Yeah agreed. Laine, Werenksi, Voracek, Merzilkins and some others…. Pretty nice base to build around to get better without needing to do too much. Understandable there for sure.
Yeah, one of those division rivals for me. Hate to see them where I want my team to be, but… also don’t want a three peat for the Bolts. So one of the few times I’ll be wanting the AV’s to win a Cup. Lol
Lol I guess I can understand that feeling. Who knows what the market will be like next year. But understandable there as a Isles fan haha.
Yeah agreed.Exactly. On paper, that team doesn't look too bad.
Agreed, not a fan of the Bolts so altho I wanted them to win against the Rangers, now I want to Avs to get that cup and deny the three peat.
Lol yea, would have been nice to win the cup my first year with the isles but we lost in a heart breaking fashion in game 7 without me. And on LI in front of the home fans.
Watching Game 5 now!
Yea, pretty crazy stuff.Unfortunate result last game. But yeah, AV’s still lead just sucks how they fell last game.
So happy for the Avalanche and Devon Toews, former Islander. So happy Toewsy got a cup.Yeah! AV’s got it done tonight. Makar well deserved with his Smythe trophy. Kuemper proved he could get it done in the end as well.
