I was planning for the Tarrasque to just...chill in the Underworld for a while. She's exhausted and literally ancient. Her backstory starts during the war, and she's been stuck down there for her entire life just waiting to get out and eat some gods.
I think I'll pass tarrasque seems more a raid boss type you need all the gods and Mortal followers to deal with.
You are absolutely correct. Inspiration came from 3.5e DnD/Pathfinder though, not the 5e version.

Just remember there's not gonna be a real "final boss" since the focus of the story will shift to go and put different characters in the spotlight at various points

Great. If possible just don't put the spotlight on the Tarrasque as "outside" since she may or may not be too fat big to fit through right now.

Ma'am half the mountaintop is missing. If she fit through the first time she can fit through a second and third
She didn't fit through the first time. She was thrown through while still a hatchling.

Hello everyone :D The god of despair has arrived!
Hello there! The God of Knowledge would like to say hi!
Perhaps they had a connection sometime because too much knowledge can bring their downfall if they seek something they should not know? Ex. a mortal consumed by sorrow after they uncovered knowledge they should not have, such as their wife having an affair or a scandalous family secret best left in the dark?

Ooooh! That's a really cool concept! We can also take this in a wholly different route and make it a cosmic horror sort of despair resulting from forbidden knowledge! I feel like both concepts can work really well together! Maybe a meld of the two could work?

Oooooooh! That would be awesome! Plays a lot into Thraika's darker aspects!

yeah! I feel like that sort of route can lead to many interesting routes. I feel like Penasothsia is a more bleak and dark character so this theme could honestly fit the cosmic horror and despair concept really well! Do you have any ideas as to how they might meet?

Maybe one of Thraika's clergy found something eldritch, went mad, and now Thraika's like: "Oh damn another one bit the dust oof" or something? [/hj]

Ooooo! I sort of switch between domains? One of Thraika's clergy joins Penasothsia's domain due to the despair induced by the discovery of something beyond their comprehension! I like that idea! Maybe Penasothsia offers to take the clergy in or Thraika searches for them in order to bring the despaired one to them. Which route would you prefer?

Also, I'm gonna be heading to sleep in a minute but I should be up early tomorrow! If you wanna dump a bunch of ideas until then, feel free to do so! I'll read over it when I'm up again.

Thraika would most likely search for them, because remember they're all about: KnOwLeDge At AlL CoStS and hence would be extremely interested in whatever the cleric could have found that drove them mad.
Aight, see ya!

Alright, I've woken up again. I like that idea! Maybe we can start with Penasothsia in the chapel they awoke from and have it go on from there? Then we can have the discovery happen and have Thraika try and look for them :]

Depends on the flow of the RP. It might be easier to say that's in the past cause of where the RP is right now. Remember, this takes place a century or two after the rebirth of the gods.

On a slightly unrelated note I feel like Thraika's hold on their domain is like Hermaeus Mora from Skyrim in that they have all the knowledge but there hold on it is shaky in places, possibly because of certain gods like those of Death, Chaos, Life, and Magic.

Hmm alright, that makes sense!

That's how I imagined it too honestly. Thraika's the dude who knows theoretically how death magic works, but can't use it themself for obvious reasons. Like, knows how it works via textbook shit, but not really how to actually execute it in-action.

makes sense honestly! Most people contextually understand how something works but don't know how to execute it. You can study how to diffuse a bomb through textbooks all you want but if you were to be put in front of one, you would panic.

anyways would you like to start this interaction! I'd be willing to hop into the rp rn :]

Sure! Any specific location or action?
