Crow

Top-tier Avian Master
In this world, individuals with superhuman abilities exist. These abilities could come from nearly anywhere - a lab accident, finding a magical item on the side of the road, being born with them, the list goes on. It was only natural that some of these individuals would end up using them for various purposes - to help others and to help themselves.

Some have been described as heroes and others villains. These individuals and the battles they have on a daily basis have been likened to living legends.

Modern myths one might say.

So, what place do you have on this world?

Well, ladies and gentlemen, this is our OoC.

Illya, you might want to check the updated app.

Meanwhile I'll check my bed.

silent whisper silent whisper

It'd be nice to see seperate sections between hero and civilian appearances-

-actually, you know what, that should be a thing in the application. One more modification for meeee.

Also silent whisper silent whisper

I think I'll comment on some things first and foremost, just so you can work on those before I have the time for an actual, proper look at the application. These are the more obvious errors.

1. You could use some capitalization here and there.

2. Your history is much too undetailed. Can you tell me about her background? How did she acquire these abilities? Format your history a bit better?

3. Personality should be a bit more descriptive. As it stands, it's very point-form.

4. Each section of the application could use some paragraphing to split words apart. Instead of

grappling hook some hawkarangs (batarangs shaped like hawks) rope duct tape taser

It could be

grappling hook
some hawkarangs (batarangs shaped like hawks)
rope
duct tape
taser

I was wondering what 'rope duct' was for a while.

Okay sounds good I’ll get that done at some point and yes it was kinda a rushed job it was just kind trying to get it out rather than quality so I’ll get it done

Hi everyone! I didn’t realise the threads were posted already! I’ll get to work on my character but it might be hard to find a picture

Ok, so, my general idea of what my superhero idea would be, and I honestly want to ask a few questions as to see whether or not the options I currently am thinking of for each sub-variant of this idea (which is currently 3 as of the moment) would either work best or be more better story wise:

General concept: My general concept is making either a civilian/superhero who is the president and Founder of a technological, most notably being robotics, company who is recently made rather remarkable discoveries in the field of technology, and their goal is to more so make a better tomorrow by bringing in an viable solution, such as adding, or even replacing emergency response teams with robots to lower the risk of deaths as well as put less human lives on the line while the machines do the heavy work and risk, and some of their machines are already ready to begin their first tests out on the field with a few teams such as Police preparing to use them. Now, here are the sub-variants of such:

1. Essentially Iron Man: Basically what the title says. The Owner of the company had created a sort of personal combat suit that has multiple uses, such as cryogenic beam production, magnet amplifiers that essentially allow him to carry and throw metallic objects with a magnetic charge as well as discharge the energy as a form of usable propellant. As well as having two shoulder mounted gun based weaponry such as a magnetically propelled ballistic weapon as well as a homing missile type of pod that has a variety of middle effects ranging from freezing to blazing. This sub-variant focused upon taking to the field by himself in a high tech suit and beating crime with his own two hands, four if you count his suit’s hands, and would be the most secretive of the three considering that this suit is more advance than any of the company’s current tech (as this is a prototype only those of high ranking within the company knows about) and would have some struggle at trying to keep this a secret.

2. A duo between Man and A.I. Ready to work together to fight evil: Instead of being only one individual, it is instead a superhero duo of man and machine, the Founder working alongside an human-like A.I. Created in order to learn and be more effective than normal robotic beings. Working together as a duo, while the robot is rather stronger and tankier than the Founder, he isn’t watching from the sidelines as the two work together in unison, with the A.I. Focusing on shocking attacks (pun intended) and focuses on non-lethally taking out an foe with electrical bolts and strength, while the Owner acts as a sort of tech hacker, capable of messing with machinery and electronic devices in his vicinity as well as playing a more supportive role with his drones such as tripping a foe or guiding them towards a trap. This one would focus upon the Owner helping train the A.I. To learn, to become a human essentially, as well as guide them on the right path and show them what Earth has to offer. A mix between secretive and not, due to a fact that the robot has the company symbol on it, but the Owner’s identity will still be kept mysterious using a disguise, so the identity of the caretaker of the robot would be unknown.

3. Iron Legion: The most public (and probably likely) case for the tech-genius, instead of personally going out to the field to which he may have a risk of getting hurt by something, he instead, allows his robots to do his job for them. Creating a pseudo-superhero robot squad, each one with their own roles such as large and strong combat mech, light and nimble scout bot, and so much more. Essentially becoming a ‘Iron Legion’ of sorts, and would have the most numerous of the three as well as being essentially only robots controlled by either the Founder himself or a team including him, which goes into his idea of having robots go into danger for them without any risk to humans. The most public of the three, considering there isn’t any reason to hide their identity to the public (well, for him, but for any other employees on his team, their faces will be kept secret) as well as focusing on teamwork and figuring out that even if you are not out there fighting in person, there is still risk involved.

(Sorry for the wall of text, just wanted to get my potential idea out and see what others think about them)

Lazaro1505 Lazaro1505 I have to say, I too am wondering who you should go with.

I lean towards 2 because of the potential banter. 3 has parallels to the Metal Men or even Robot from Invincible, so I'm also interested in that. That being said, I'd still like to see what you could do with 1, assuming you end up picking that.

I can see 3 and 1 being fused, with character development leading to him wanting to take part in the frontlines. The way these are set up, one could develop into the other.

Aight, I’m thinking something along the lines of an ice/cold type of hero. Did anyone else want to do something like that?

I know some want to have those as part of a versatile powerset, me included, but nothing focused on just being frosty the snowman.

In other words, no.

Let me ask for all your opinions on what my hero character should be.

1. Indistinguishable from a hobo
2. Young teen hero

Ok, so would you prefer more versatile power sets? If you do, I can whip up something else for you.

Whatever fits your character. If you feel that your character works better with a single power, go for that. If you feel that your character works better with multiple powers under a trenchcoat, by all means.
