Emily shook her head " I can't do that... its a time for being with family" she replied although she knew she really would be spending much time with her father as any normal family would. They would be throwing a lavish party and as well attending dinners with other important people. Although she would get to spend time being with her father she found the parties all boring. "Besides father won't allow me to stay here when I should be home..."
"I'm gonna say it. You're dad's a stick in the Mud and I don't like him very much." Earl said.

Emily frowns a bit at what Earl said. Sure her dad wasn't the most loving of fathers, he had so many rules and a mont of expectations of her. But she loved him, he was her father after all and just the way of life as she knew it.

"Just don't mention to him that you're friends with a half-blood and a muggle born."

Emily gently nodded "I won't..." she softly said, feeling quite sad that she could never mention the wonderful friend she had made. Because if she did she would lose them, it was something she had to keep secreat from her father. She had never dreamed of making true friends she wasnt risking getting them taken away.

"Alright. Well you leave in the morning." He said. He gave her a hug. "Stay safe ya stupid slytherin."

He pulled away from the high and walked back to the castle
Emily ended up walking back to the castle with him and then back to her dorm. The next morning Emily was packed and ready to head back home fore the holidays, leaving in the morning train along with the others leaving.

Earl and the others waved her off.

Earl and the others waved her off.
Emily found a cabin on her own looking out the window waving at them goodbye until she could not see them anymore. She leaned back on the seat closing her eyes as she sighed. She sould be excited and happy to go back home as others where on this train. But for some reason she felt sad.

(I got nothing)

Christmas day and came and Emily sat infront of her vanity dress in a fancy party dress. She softly sighed as Matilda, the head housekeeper brushed and arranged her brown curly hair into a nice half updo for the party. "Whats wrong sweetheart? Not excited for the party?" The women asked. "...I am Tilly.." Emily replied looking up at the mirror and reflection of the older women. "Its just im missing my friends...I wonder if their having a good Christmas day" Emily quitely added. The older women had found out Emily had made three great friends but she had not clue who they were Emily even with Tilly had been very vague.

Night time rolled around and as she fell asleep there was a tapping on her window. A barn owl. She recognized the owl. It was Earl's owl, Noctowl.

Emily had retired early to her room, not feeling very well and exhausted with the whole ordeal of the party. She had attended by her mind had been somewhere else. She had fallen asleep as the party continued, to only wake up to the sound of tapping on her window of a very quite night. Sitting up in her bed she looked around at her large dark room, again hearing the taping. Getting out of bed she quickly makes her way to the window the light of the moon brightly coming into the room as she pulled the curtains open. "Noctowl!" She whispered in suprise seeing Earls owl. She quickly unlocked her window to let the owl in the night colded snowy air blowing into the warm room as she did.

Noctowl was holding a letter and a box.

Noctowl was holding a letter and a box.
Emily closed the window stoping the cold air from coming in. She thanked the barn owl gathering a treat and haning it to the barn owl. Moving the owl over to the perch were her owl had been sleeping so Noctowl could warm up. Archie poofing up as he nuzzle the smaller owl. Gathering the letter and package in her hands she climbed back on her bed turning on the light by her bedside. She quickly opened the envelope first pulling out the letter and read it.

"You didn't think I'd let you spend Christmas by yourself right? Open the box." In the box was a journal. A blank Journal with both their names on it. (Open the book)

A huge smile crossed her face as she read the letter, what did Earl mean by that. Either way just reading that short message of the letter brought her joy. She placed the paper at her side as she quickly unwrapped the package and the box pulling out a journal. She softly touched the cover of the book looking at it before opening it up.

It was blank for a few seconds then Ink began to appear in the page. "About time Noctowl reached you. How are ya, ya stupid Slytherin."

(Wizard texting XD)
Emily felt overy excited as she saw the words form on the page, letting out a quite giggle. This was the best gift she could ever had received. She quickly picked up a quill and wrote inside the journal. " He had a long way to travel and its been quite a cold winter. He is warming up next to Archie resting. " she wrote, her writing was tiny and very delicate "Hello Earl! :)" she wrote in much bigger letters before continuing her normal writing "I been fine, Happy Christmas! I hope you are doing well, how was your day?"

"Boring." He wrote back. "We'll keep him quiet but keep him there until the storm dies down for me. Someone wants to say hi." After a few moments the ink disappeared and then a only paw print appeared. A cat's paw print.

"It hasn't been at all very fun here either, and I will. The little guy will be well taken care off.." she wrote taking a pause as she stared at the page. She happily smiled seeing the tiny paw print appear. "Luna.." she softly whispered seeing the print. "Tell her that I miss her and that I'm sorry..." she wrote back, still feeling bad she had to leave her kitten behind.
