This one I recognize! Hello Ker'ion! : ) Are there any others around from the old days of PS?
It's pretty fun to go back and look at all the threads you've posted in since 2005..
Woohoo. Thanks to the Wizard, I live again after 2 years absence. Was a member of Patternspider way back from 2005 to 2010 and now I am here. : )
Game-master and world creator from Sweden and also a huge Dragon-Blooded fan over in the Exalted-verse of game worlds.
I was more thinking Contentious Sword's first incarnation. It mentions in his text that he suspects that the first ( the real super-warrior ) incarnation's ghost might still be wandering the Underworld and that Contentious Sword is looking for him there, that he might find and talk to the...
Her story actually continues - she later finds Oliphem, who is still mad about Desus deed, and Lilith promises to bring Desus there so Oliphem can confront him about what he did, as a trap of a sorts. Later yet, I believe there's one where she actually brings Swan to the titan-thing.
Supergrunt- don't read this.
Okay, now with that warning issued, I had an idea today when I saw looking through the pages about the Deathlords. This might have been stated before, but.. have White Wolf tied /all/ the canon solars to Deathlords?
It's pretty obvious that Arianna and The Lover...
In my campaign, it looks like the answer is this:
The Scarlet Empress is Gaia. Or her soul in one way or another. That is the explanation of how she could, when the world needed it the most, take the form of a DB ( sort of ) and enter the Primordial-built Imperial Manse, the Sword of Creation...
I am self-taught and do all my work in Photoshop. Just play a lot with layers and such, and hang out in the cartographer's guild if you want to learn how others do. ( my point with this shameless bump is this: You only need photoshop to succeed )
Bump for my old map that isn't very updated...
I let all my Abyssals in my chronicle have more or less intact memories of their earlier reincarnations unless they are likely suspects to try for some sort of redemption - many of the Abyssals can then remember the crazy biznatches they became in the first age and the madness that often took...
Gaia tried playing the games on a more basic level for some time, as the Scarlet Empress. When she got bored of that, she went to hang with one of her cousins who had appreciated what she'd done for them, the Ebon Dragon. However, nowadays, she got bored of that and proceeded to go chill...
Hey, I'm the resident fanboy of DBs here, and I knew all along that the gods hate them. Now if the gods would only see that the Solars are usurpators as well along with their own kind, and they'd see the pattern! There'll always be another one coming for them..
No, the happy ending would be that she really is a truly heroic Dragon Blood who can defeat stuff against all odds and go on and return Creation to safety ;)
I prefer a little shorter ones for my own. Here's the ones from my campaign, all very tied to their own stories or how they were Exalted:
Conqueror born of Blood and Sand
Sister of the Betrayers
Granter of Wishes Uttered Alone
As a note, in the Sidereal book, it's actually stated that it was the Sidereals that rummaged through the notes in Yu-Shan and gave access to the Imperial Manse to the Empress.
That's not entirely true about Sidereals, considering that their shards are not awarded but carefully planned for, they know when the next incarnation will be, who it will be, etc. Instead, they are created and groomed to become a Sidereal and accept their new role.
Sorry for bumping, but I just realized a horrible mistake. I forgot to copy my layers to do some filtering-work.. and ended up with flattening all my terrain layers into one and using that for quite a few saves.
I hope no one finds any fault with the terrain because it will be a -paaain- to...
Also, for the record, I've used different sources for the city-locations to try to get the most common one, considering they are all different in the maps provided in the books.
For the Realm cities, I've used the "Blessed Isle" book for their locations. For the eastern ones, I've used...
What's funny is that if I had known that your 2nd Edition map was online and available, I wouldn't have started this map ;) But now it provides a good blend between 2nd Ed and 1st Ed styles + modifiable.
Thanks for the link, too!
