Fandom Avatar: The Last Airbender

I was still awake, looking at the stars above, wandering if they will take me to a different place, I keep staring at them as if my eyes were glued looking up at the sky. I felt very relaxed at the moment, I felt alone, even though I then started thinking about the day and the days that have gone by, I also started thinking about the people that I helped today, I smile at the thought, and I am assuming that I will always smile at it, because I may not feel like I am helping the world, but I know that what I do has a big effect on it.

Amu went fishing with her dad and they notice boat headed there way. "Daddy look a boat!" she pointed excitedly. "I see" and he stood and waved at the ship trying to get there attention.

Sleep came, and sleep went as restlessly as the waking hours.

Owain rose slowly in the morning light not quite aware that he had even been sleeping, he rubbed the sleep from his eyes and rolled over to the cool side of the ice-boat. the one he hadn't been sleeping on but he was awake now so and sleep was lost on him.

A few minutes later he was on his feet stretching out his legs, he figured there would a lot of footwork on the schedule today. Avatars to find and all of that jazz.

He set up on the edge of the ice and began to bend the waves into forward motion following the inertia they had been going on towards a small, but growing slate of land on the horizon. It the southron Water-Tribe, it's snowy isle extending wide across his view as the details on it's face grew. It was home enough for him.

Owain felt his stomach tighten but the knot in his throat concerned him more, home.

Mom, Dad, Raemus. The
real Raemus, his brother and best friend whom had been taken aboard the Fire Nation cruiser along with more of the village than not. He hoped beyond hope that they were getting by without the hunters to get their meat, they could fish after all and the women were exceptional anglers comparatively.

There were a few anglers on the approaching coast in the early morning sunlight, his arms became liquid in the bending as he found his flow. His stress melted away and the world became somewhat serene for the first time in a long time, even before the raid things had been.. wrong.

Owain came out of his thoughts noticing an older looking man with a younger person he figured too skinny to be a guy in a drawn-up parka, a father and daughter with their lines out greeting the incoming visitors. He missed his father now more than ever but he waved back with gusto breaking his flow but not his bending, they had shaved off almost a full day off the trip though that was mostly because of Suka's skill with the waves.

"
HEEEEY! WAKEY WAKEY! we have a welcoming party to greet us so show her good sides," He laughed, it felt good to feel the arctic breeze through his hair again. The half that wasn't singed down to within an inch that is. Owain felt good to be here though, revitalized almost.

"
I seriously need to even this crap out.." He murmured to himself more than anything, Find your flow.. floooooooow with the waves.

Then they hit the docks gently, by his standards anyway.

Amu and her dad had got out of the boat to wait for the travelers. "Now Amu rrember your manners." Yes daddy, wow we never have people come around here much this is so exciting I wonder where they are from." she said. The boat came to a stop by the docks and her father walked up to the boat and said Hello looks like you folks cam along way. The names Joe and this is my daughter Amu." "HI!" she said

I had fallen asleep but then i heard Owain say to wake up, i heard him and i fluttered my eyes open, i was tired still since i wasn't really in a comfortable place but i threw away the thought. I lazily sat up and saw some people surrounding us and greeting us, I still had some sand in my eyes so my eyes were squinted so i couldn't really see them very clearly but i heard their voices "Hi" i said to them. I rubbed my eyes and i opened my eyes and i saw better and i lazily sat up and analyzed all of my surroundings and then i saw the little girl and i waved at her with a warm welcoming smile upon my face.

Nichole groggily gets up. She rubs her eyes before looking at Owain who was talking to someone. His longer half of hair was moving with the wind an his other half wasn't she smiles slightly to herself, she thought it was cute. Then something clicks. He's talking to some one. We must be by land. She jumps up and takes down her braid that she had put it into. She looks at the people Owain was talking to. The wind was slightly chilly, so she bunched the parka around her closer. The wind felt good flowing through her hair though. She looked out and saw the land. It was so plain and flat and white. It was beautiful. Ba sing se never had such empty land. There was so many possibilities here. She could train for hours.

Owain watched the grizzled man and his daughter approach their ice-boat with a friendly greeting, The Fire-Nation must not have its claws in this far south, I wonder how long that will last for, the concern didn't transfer to his face though. He was just glad to be in the Water-Tribe again be it north or south.

"
Nice to meet you both Joe, Amu.. I'm Owain of the Northern Water-Tribe," He gave a curt nod to them both and smiled warmly which was in direct contrast with how he felt. The light oranges pants and airy shirt he picked up in the Fire Nation did little for him here but it was nothing he wasn't used to back home, ice-warrior to the core and that training taught you the meaning of cold.

The earth-benders were stirring now and giving their own greetings, Nichole's eyes practically lit up when she saw the vast frozen tundra that lay out before them. It was an incredible sight to see especially if you came from a land of mountains and rocks he figured.

"
My companions and I have come a long way actually and by the skin of our teeth I might add," Owain sighed slightly, he should have been more on the ball before rather than having the ice-ball crack him in the jaw which still ached slightly. He hoped it wasn't broken and it wasn't, just a hairline fracture to poke him with needles when he chewed too hard or too long.

"
The Fire-Nation has taken a lot from all of us and we'd be grateful for a place to stay while we search for our long lost Avatar.." Owain looked out at the little villages dotting the horizon with a waning hope that out there was the person they were searching for. He would have lost himself in a fit of laughter but instead he raised his fists bending the boat into the docks with ice to stabilize it and bridge the little gap tot he docks. He stepped out and extended a hand to Joe.

Nichole hears Owain explain there situation to the two on the docks. She then hears him mention that they need a place to stay. She hoped the two agreed. There was so much she wanted to try here.

I stood next to Nichole who was next to Owain and I looked around "isn't it beautiful?" I ask Nichole wondering what she thinks about the whole place. I was really only used to rocks not really much ice, I don't think I'm gonna get much sleep for a few days, I think to myself. I keep staring at the place wondering how long we're gonna stay here and how much stuff we're going to see. I push those thoughts out of my mind for later, I could worry about those later, right now, I'm just going to enjoy the moment, I smile at the beautiful thought.

When Owain said they were looking for the avatar her farther's face went pale. "Avatar?" Amu said confused. She then looked at her dad. Her dad turned to Owain and said "i'm afriad there is no avatar here but if you like we can get you a place to stay and some warm clothes."

Nichole shivers slightly as she gazes out at the beautiful plains. She turns to the man, "oh... Oh yes, some warm clothes would be excellent." She trembles. It was beautiful, but very cold. 'I guess every rainbow has it's end.' She thinks to herself.

"Well come on you stay with me and my family." he said. He then started heading towards home with his daughter following behind.

I look at Owain wondering what his response to that would be, We could stay, but the fire nation could be sniffing our tail and I didn't want any damage to come to this extraordinary place, I saw Nichole shivering and she needed some warm clothes and I needed some too so I decided to follow Nichole and the little girl. I guess I was just gonna leave the leaving or staying question to Owain.

Nichole puts a hand on Owains shoulder, "you coming?" She asks. She needed some warmth soon, but she wasn't going to go without Owains permission.

I stood and waited in front of the little girl's shelter and I waited for the others including Nichole and Owain, the warm clothes could wait, I thought to myself.

Amu noticed that they didn't seem to be following. She looked at her father and said "Go on back we'll be up there in a min." She then walked back to see what was going on.

(So sorry guys! I was camping!)

Suka was excited. Being with new friends, seeing the world and traveling. Of course she was still shy and timid around new people but Amu and her father didnt seem so bad. She looked around the white emptiness of the South,"Ugh....just like home...." She muttered. She just wanted to be away from snow for a while but she knew they had to come here, there was no choice. She started to follow Amu when Amu suddenly changed her mind and stood with them. She slipped on her parka over the red fire nation dress Nichole got her. She missed the blue clothing, soft and lined with white fur, and a giant Northern Water Tribe insignia on the back part. It was a nice clear day, no blizzards but still cold. She looked at the others as they conversed with Amu.
"No avatar?" She thought. She looked back at the small tribe. It was totally different than the north. In the north there were tall buildings made of ice and snow, side walks and water passage ways. Here it was barren and there were huts, a lot more humble. Even the docks werent as sophisticated, but she liked it.

She looked at one of the girls. She looks likes she's from the nothern water tribe. She walked up to her and said " Hey are you from the northern water tribe?"

Owain noticed Joe's reaction to his statement on the Avatar, maybe he knew something. Probably not, it was more likely he was an agent for the Fire-Lord readying the Southern Water-Tribe for an invasion force which would explain why he was so kind to outsiders dressed as they were. Either way he knew something.

"Yeah sounds good Joe.." The man left with his daughter and Owain pondered on whether or not they should go with them until Nochole's hand pulled him from his thoughts,

"
We can't stay here too long, i'm sure we'll have company by tonight but I don't think we can trust him.. just stay close and watch each other's backs okay?" Owain spoke low so only his friends could hear, then Amu cam sauntering back to them with a smile and began to start a conversation with Suka.

"
Ready when you guys are I suppose," He said this as he went back to the ice-boat and grabbed a sack of probably semi-frozen foods, the cold would be good for preservation at least.

[[OOC: I got called out on a sort of road trip and the internet here is dodgy at best, literally wandering from tent to tent looking for signals.. I got a little sumpin sumpin going but feel free to use Owain to your heart's contents
:) if i'm posting slow that is ;) ]]

(I tried doing that but there was nothing lolz)

Suka jumped when Amu approached her. "U-umm.." She inched and scooted her way back to the rest of the group. Deep blue eyes looked up at her and gave a quick nod to confirm that she is indeed from the sister tribe. She hid behind Her new fellow earth bender but peeked enough to see Amu and wait for her reply or reaction

"Really ?! wow you'll have to tell all about it later." She then led the others to her house. When everyone got there she let them in she showed them to a room where they could change and gave them some clothes. Afterwards everyone was sitting in the room together talking. Amu came in a said "I got some last min chores i'll be back in a min. Help yourself to some hot chocolate." She then went out side. Her mother not knowing what was going on came in a saw a bunch of people in her house and said "Who are you people?"

Owain followed Amu with Nichole at his side, he didn't think the girl was involved but sheou kindly might not know what she was doing. Best of intentions and all of that.

"Thank yo-" Owain started after he got changed but Amu was already running out to do her chores, then the mother came in not really knowing what was happening which kind of made it awkward.

"
Oh uh.. hey we're friends of Joe's and Amu, they were kind enough to lend us clothes and give us a place to stay for a bit while we gather ourselves," Owain gave her the good vibes smile he had practice back in the Fire-Nation.

"
Owain's the name by the way, it's a pleasure to meet you,"

[[OOC: haha the army's good something I suppose]]

Once Nichole gets dressed in a lovely long sleeved blue dress with thick white tights for warmth, she puts on a pair of brown boots that are lined with fur. She gathers two strands of hair from each side if her head, above her ears, and braids them both, connecting then at the back of her head. She clips them together and straightens her dress and walks into the living room with the others.
