Young Deities is a group roleplay focused on the lives of youthful gods who are trying to find their way in the infinite. For some, this could mean creating planets, creating species, or rising the ranks and becoming a high-ranking deity. For others, this might mean finding true love, having a family, or committing to living the luxurious life that a deity deserves.

I only have three rules:
- be active: any roleplayer that disappears for a week without notice will have their spot reopened (if the roleplayer returns, they can easily reclaimed their spot, but on the third time that you are removed from the group you will not be able to rejoin). If you know in advance that you are going to be inactive, just give some warning and this rule won't apply for the estimated length of time that you will be gone. (ex. If you say that you will be gone for two weeks, then you will not be removed unless you are gone for three weeks).
* I will be fairly lenient on inactivity removals, as I understand what it's like to be busy
- be advanced: I would like people to post at two paragraphs or more per post minimum. If you absolutely can't stretch a reply into two paragraphs, then one detailed paragraph is acceptable. However, the premise of this roleplay is meant to be interesting enough that two or more paragraphs per post should be highly manageable.
- when naming your character, please be original; keep in mind that these are original deities. They won't have the same names as gods from religions IRL, and they won't be named stuff like "Jessica," or "Star." I used this name generator to help come up with ideas, though using it is not required.

I've put the information below in a spoiler, because it's very long.

INFORMATION ABOUT DEITIES
Deities are extremely powerful beings. However, their power has multiple levels. Simply put, deities have absolute power over anything they create in the Playground (see: Realms). In the Gathering Place of the All-Powerful (see: Realms), they have the power to create things, and manipulate them to a certain extent. They have very limited power against other deities. They can cause another deity physical harm in many ways, including by using weapons and using certain aspects of their powers (ex. a fire elemental attack could be used to burn another deity).

There are two types of deities: born deities and pure deities. Simply put, a born deity is a deity who was born to two godly parents, while a pure deity simply came into existence. Neither plays an important role in one's existence in terms of ranking in hierarchies.

Deities can take on any appearance they would like, whether it be humanoid, animalistic, or something else entirely. They can also change their form at any time. Many deities have at least one distinguishing trait that they cannot change; however, not all do. Some deities will take a form in honor and pride of a species that they have created.

List of things deities can/might do with their existence
- create planets/species: This is something that most deities do, whether it be just once in their existence, or what they do every day. Some deities will pre-plan the entire stories of planets they create and then make them and guide their species through what happens. Others simply throw mortals onto a planet and let them do their own thing.
- become a specific deity: A specific deity is a deity that chooses to relinquish all of their broad powers and become a master of powers in one area. A specific deity can be the deity of an element, an emotion, a concept, or anything else. Some specific deities are the god of multiple things, but it's very rare that a specific deity represents more than three things. It's not common for a deity to do this, as they lose their ability to create planets and species, something considered very important to most deities.
- become entertainers for other deities: In a world where few things are necessary for survival, entertainers are highly needed. Some gods choose to use their abilities to provide entertainment for other immortal beings. A few look down on these deities for 'wasting their true potential.' However, these criticisms are rarely spoken aloud, for it is universally understood that these gods are needed.
- explore other dimensions/realms: There are countless dimensions and realms in the infinite. Many of them were created by deities, but the majority of them simply popped into existence, much like the first of the deities. Some gods choose to spend their time venturing into these dimensions to see what secrets they may hold.
- try to create galaxies: It is easy for most, not all, deities to create planets. It takes a fair deal of effort and energy for a deity to create a star. However, there is one thing that for some odd reason almost no deity can do: create galaxies. No deity has ever been able to create enough stars. Many have tried creating galaxies in the Playground, where there are numerous free floating stars, but even still, no god has managed to pull these stars together into a permanent gravitational field successfully, except for one: Culphion, the God of Galaxies, who disappeared into the Playground at the beginning of time. Fortunately, no deity needs to create their own galaxy, as Culphion is still somewhere in the Playground to this day, creating new galaxies. But if one were to figure out how to use this power, they would be hailed as one of the most powerful deities to ever exist.
- try to imitate the lives of mortals: Not every deity can do things so interesting as creating planets or exploring the infinite. Some instead choose to lead the simple life. While any deity can create a family, this is what mortal-imitating deities tend to focus their lives on.
This is not a full list. While it is preferred that you contact a Moderator before having your character do anything that you are unsure of, these are not the only goals a deity can have. They also don't have to try to do any of these. These are simply suggestions for plots.

PLANETARY CREATION
The Planetary Creation process in this group's multiverse is based off of the system used in Gods and Idols, an early release game on Steam. The deity begins by forming the beginnings of an Accretion. Once an Accretion is created, asteroids will start to crash into it. Some of these asteroids will deposit nutrients or metal into the soil of the forming planet, and some will help form an atmosphere. These are considered good asteroids. Some asteroids, however, will destroy chunks of the Accretion. If too many of these asteroids hit the Accretion, it will be destroyed, and the deity will have to start over. A deity must use spells to destoy bad asteroids before they hit the Accretion. Unfortunately, a deity cannot risk getting too close to an Accretion. This is the only way of creating a planet.

Once a deity creates a planet, they can do practically whatever they please with it. Some deities invite Specific Gods and Goddesses to be worshipped in religions on their planets. However, the high-ranking deities are very strict about on thing regarding planets: it is strictly forbidden for any deity to harm the planet of another in any way, unless requested by the deity that owns the planet.

REALMS
There are two primary Realms/Dimensions in the Young Deities roleplay that any character can access at any time. Any deity can have their own realm that only they and those they allow inside can access. Deities can also create open realms that belong to them, but can be accessed by all.

The Gathering Place of the All-Powerful
This realm is where deities spend their day to day lives. Most deities have homes in this realm. It is a gorgeous space with a ground made of clouds where all deities can find things to do.

One of the most special things about the Gathering Place is that while the ground is made of puffy clouds that reach the ankles of most deities, the ground under each deity will change to reflect something about them (ex. the ground under a deity of water's feet could change to look like water; the ground under a deity of rage's feet might change to look like fire).

The Playground
Simply put, the Playground looks like outer space. From it's entrance points, deities can call upon clear comets to form bridges so that they may move through the infinite field of galaxies. This is where deities go to create their planets inside of the galaxies provided by Culphion.

To enter a galaxy, a deity must take on a non-corporeal form, which is often much smaller than their corporeal form.

COMMON CONFUSION ABOUT THIS ROLEPLAY
It has come to my attention that some parts of this roleplay are widely misunderstood, which is likely more my fault than anything. However, I'd like to clarify a few things.
THE ONLY SPECIES FOCUSED ON IN THIS ROLEPLAY IS DEITIES
The purpose of this roleplay group, as stated above, is a group of young deities trying to find their place. This means:
- There will be very little interaction with mortals of any kind
- It is not focused on any deity's followers/worshippers
- The settings of the roleplay are: The Gathering Place, The Playground, and the personal Realms of the deities played
It is not about:
- How powerful a deity is trying to become; it is a highly unrealistic plot for any deity to try and become the most powerful deity, as they are not a rare species in their plane of existence (after all, they do procreate and appear out of nowhere)
- Anything to do with mortals/planets (a deity can be struggling with choices/other things regarding a planet that they own, but mortals cannot be directly involved)

If you would like to join, please post a fairly detailed biography of your character. If you have any questions, please shoot me a PM!

RULES ABOUT CHARACTER BIOGRAPHIES
- They must be posted in a template form of some sort (ex name, personality, appearance, etc)

notes about character biography (not requirements)
- age is not necessary. all characters will be 'young adult' to 'adult' - using an age range is simpler than trying to figure out a realistic age for immortal beings.
- it would be a good idea to include in your character's bio some possible plots you would be interested in doing with others

As this roleplay has gotten more attention than expected, I may add more spots. The original number of spots was chosen when the idea was on a less active website. Don't be discouraged if all slots are filled; you might still be able to join

Ah, sorry for the late reply! Everyone can feel free to go ahead and post a character form here. I’ll be posting mine as soon as possible, so there’ll be a sort of reference up hopefully within the next hour

Here's Fehfer's form! It's nowhere near required to use this template, and frankly I could've been a little more detailed (I'll likely create a more in-depth version as soon as possible), but it does have examples of things to include.

name: Fehfer

pronouns: neutral (they/them/theirs)

type of deity: Born, Full

appearance: Despite all of the supernatural parts of their appearance, the most easily-identifiable part of Fehfer's appearance is their curly, dirty blond hair. They have a dancer's build, and soft, round cheeks with a shockingly sharp jawline in contrast. Their eyes are sky blue, and they are almost always crying. Most consider Fehfer to be more 'adorable' than anything, as their youthful features make them seem far more innocent than the average deity. Fehfer dresses primarily in very light materials, as they do not like being overheated. However, they never go out in public unless they are fully covered. Their wardrobe consists primarily of loose-fitting clothes that are almost exclusively white or forest colors. They almost always wear a flower crown and a sheer veil.

In Fehfer's primary form, they often appear with angel or fairy wings; what type of wings they have changes from time to time. They always have small antlers no matter what form they take.

personality:
Very few know much about what Fehfer is truly like. They are often seen as being shy and emotional, which is accurate. They often come off as cold and distant. They do not socialize much, and when they attend events, they are often alone. Most of these assumptions about them are incorrect. While Fehfer is introverted, they are very kind, and will care deeply about someone they’ve grown close to, which doesn’t take long. They are highly empathetic and will go to great lengths to help someone who is upset. Fehfer is a hard-worker, and has a hard time saying no to others.

Though unexpected, Fehfer is very much a free spirit. They enjoy exploring other realms and galaxies, and seeing new things. Despite this, they are very passive, and are unlikely to argue. They don’t speak their mind in dire situations, instead allowing others to speak for them. They are easy to push around and manipulate. They are weak-willed and unlikely to disobey others or argue for what they really want.

Fehfer is very much the romantic type. They are willing to see past another’s flaws, especially if it is someone they love. They do not have any real experience with romantic love, though. It is very likely that Fehfer would love anyone who told them to love them. They are likely to become overly-affectionate in a relationship, and would find heartbreak to be the worst pain ever.

Fehfer is a fairly weak deity, and while they have the great ability to create new creatures with ease, they have difficulty creating a planet. As many deities hope to do, they want to create at least one planet using only their own powers. However, it seems unlikely that they will ever be able to do this.

history: Fehfer was born to two goddesses: Edonia, a nature goddess, and Nione, a water goddess. They were the pride and joy of their parents, who raised them as their little prince. However, despite their loving upbringing, something in Fehfer caused them to grow insecure and scared of others. They became extremely passive and submissive, frequently allowing those around them to walk all over them without putting up a fight. They grew up weak and uncoordinated.

They did, however, have one extraordinary talent; Fehfer was well-known for being highly creative. They filled forests with species of plants and animals that they created. Other gods marveled at their work. However, talented as he was in creative aspects, there was one thing that Fehfer was not powerful enough to do; create a planet to put their creations on.

plots ideas:
- Their mothers have another child
- a romance plot
- a romance plot in which someone helps Fehfer create a planet out of the goodness of their heart, and they (Fehfer) find themself falling for this other deity
- a romance plot in which another deity falls in love with Fehfer but wants them to become just a nature deity and not create a planet

etc

Glad to see all the interest this has gotten! I know more than seven people stated interest but I'm just going to give everyone who's already posted a reserved spot, if they don't post a character sheet in time or some other issue comes up their spot will be reopened.

Also, rather than posting character sheets here, please post them in this thread. Big thanks again to Angelofwishes for helping me out and making this <3
