It had been just a few hours since Gao was back from his last assignment. The old man was tasked with taking care of the security of a VIP which was believed would be targeted by villains. He was just one of a few heroes that were also assigned the same task. He remembers how some of them complained about the assignment, as it didn’t seem heroic enough for them. Gao didn’t think like that, but these heroes are all still young. Patience is not a trait usually found in them or he thought.

Currently the old man was sitting with his legs crossed, just in front of the Agency’s shrine. Eyes closed, he controlled his breath while he cleared his mind of every thought. That place was pretty calm and it was excellent for his meditation. He avoided going in there whenever The Miko was performing her rituals, as he didn’t want to bother or interrupt her. With each inhale and exhale, he could feel his consciousness slowly slipping away. All the exhaustion he felt from his assignment was disappearing, little by little.

"We passed by a scene earlier of the authorities taking away a Villain, as soon as we rounded a corner, we heard a gunshot and came back to find the Villain dead but the cops okay..."

"From the position of the body..."

Communication device that was in the side pocket of his yi-fu, which was silent until that moment, starts transmitting that message. It was almost as if his consciousness was pulled back into his body, as his eyes were suddenly wide open. He waited, taking the device out of his pocket with his right hand and holding it close to his ear, so he could listen to it clearer.

“…But they were shot from the east of our location...”

Karma… - He mutters to himself. Was that the Universe’s way of keeping things in equilibrium? Maybe… but even if it was, whoever did this had no authority to take that life as they did. He waits patiently, trying to get as much information as he can from what is happening.

“Chromatic Crusader is on her way.” - Mmmmm… Chromatic Crusader… is she the… mmmm… colourful hero? - He wondered for a moment, trying to remember who she was. His memory is not as good as it once was, but he did remember seeing her at the agency with a very well designed suit. As he turns the communication device around, trying to remember what he needs to do to speak in it, he hears another confirmation.

"The Miko shall be there, and we will see if this Vigilante is one of them." - Ah yes, The Miko, the one who tended to the shrine he was at. Nodding to himself a few times, he decided that could be the perfect opportunity to thank her for keeping the shrine in such an impeccable state. Finally, after staring at the communication device for so long, he finally remembered what button he needed to press to answer it. And as soon as he pressed it…

“TATSUO, WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU YESTERDAY!?” - and it continued - “IF I DON’T GET TO SKIP OVER A MISSION THEN YOU SURE AS HELL CAN’T EITHER, YOU BETTER HAVE AN EXCUSE FOR THIS!” - Flashes of memories easily came back to him, hearing the loud, aggressive yelling. Only if he was deaf would he not recognize who that was - That tiger girl… it is almost like a mirror to my past… - he ponders, moving his head from side to side. While possibly other old heroes like himself would have tried to reprimand her, Gao did know best not to do so.

“Mr. Fist will be there shortly… ehhh… maybe not that shortly. Wait, how do I turn this of-” - his message is cut short when he manages to turn it off. While he could take some time off due to finishing his assignment, he decided to act. Plus, it was a chance to work with heroes that he has never worked with before. With that, he gets up from the ground, tucking the device inside his side pocket again and starting to make his way to the crime scene.

@BecauseImTooLazyToTagEveryone,You'reAllTaggedLmao

Katherine knew that the comms would come to life as everyone began to speak into them, on top of communicating with eachother on what they were gonna do. Ono was already keeping citizens at bay, while many were on their way, and Nakano herself was already trying to move quickly through the crowd to find anyone suspicious. Her eyes shifted slightly and she spoke into her comm "The Miko, some may have a chance to do so, but there will always be that burning beast within..." she said softly before scanning around once again, only flinching as Nakano began to yell over the comms She really needs to take note of everyone on these things...she could deafen us fairly quickly. But a loud Nakano was a way to tell her that she was still herself. Jin had spoke up, seeing nothing while asking about the situation "None..." she replied. Ichiro also spoke into the comms, both bullying Nakano and claiming he's on his way with the others. This made the young woman nod slightly in approval We're so well coordinated. This is why Eagle Agency is the top. We may have some who are chaotic, but we know when it's time to take a situation very seriously... even though she wasn't a higher up and merely just a Hero like everyone else, she still liked to silently praise her fellow friends.

Mr Fist chimed in, claiming he'd be on his way as well before cutting himself off. Everything was going well, Emergency services were arriving as well. "As far as I can tell, there's no one suspicious down here either, Jin... It's possible the person fled before we could gather and scan the area..." this made the light-haired woman sigh softly "If this vigilante is targeting Villains, then it's possible that we-" before she could finish her sentence, another gunshot was set off, making many scream and duck. The shot had definitely come from one of the few tall buildings, which one? Well, Katherine couldn't say because she had been standing frozen, eyes widen and shock seemingly to settle onto her face. Her heart rate had increased, making her feel as if her heart was going to burst from her chest as she glanced down for a moment to see she was okay. Upon seeing no blood, she felt something trickling down her cheek and she lifted her hand to feel. Taking a good look, she noticed she was bleeding. They missed when I was merely standing there? she thought as she turned to look where the bullet had passed through. It had seemingly grazed her skin, almost as if it was a warning.

Trying to process the situation, her eyes started to glow that bright blue and a shield suddenly appeared in front of her, just in case she were to get shot once again. Trying to keep her composure, she spoke "The shooter is still active... I got hit, but barely..." things were very different when a gun was involved. Katherine really didn't feel like dying by something as small as a gun, even the thought of being pierced by a bullet had struck fear into her. She took a deep breath and began to wonder if she was getting too close, or if she was a target herself.

Meanwhile in the building, the man was packing up his gun, folding the pieces that could be folded and stuffing everything into his bag. Zipping it up, he began to flee the building, using the stairs to get down to the bottom. His plan was to get into the crowd and use that as his cover, or potentially he can go a quieter way and escape that way. As he got to the bottom, he pushed the door open and noticed the large crowd and many people moving about. He took this time to blend in, walking at a fast pace to get to his destination without being spotted.

As soon as the old man stepped through the doors from the Agency leading to the city, he intertwined the fingers of both of his hands, at first having his palms were turned towards himself. Doing a turning motion downwards, and then outwards, he stretches both of his arms and, with his arms stretched, he slowly moves them upwards until his hands are above his shiny, bald head. He stretches his arms, hands and shoulder joints for a while, keeping that position, with his hands slowly parting ways after he is done. While he hadn't seen any action at his previous assigned, there was a lot of standing around for something that never happened. He had to get himself prepared for whatever could happen in that mission.

Now it was his legs’ turn. He started with his left leg, lifting it from the ground, keeping it to his front. He quickly extended it, kicking upwards, being able to hold it perfectly vertically. Gao holds this position for an instant, before slowly lowering his left leg, repeating the exact same process with his right leg. And, even though his warm-up did catch of some bystanders, the old man didn’t really seem to mind. It was always worth being physically prepared in his book. He jumped in place a few times, before basically dashing towards the crime scene. While he didn’t have any inhuman speed, he could run at a very decent pace while keeping a pretty satisfactory breathing.

While he was making his way, it was almost as if he had the map of the city perfectly in his head. Being a natural explorer, he had walked, and dashed, most of Tokyo’s nooks and crannies. During his frantic dash, he took alleyways and shortcuts whenever it was possible, cutting a good 6 minutes of his travel time. When he was about 3 blocks from the crime scene, a loud, piercing sound made him stop in his tracks. Not even the crowd noise, which he could already see from where he stopped, could muffle that heinous sound. Involuntarily, his eyes narrowed, his mouth gritted his teeth, his hands closed into a fist, finger by finger, starting with his little finger and ending with his thumb. As his thumb pressed against his other fingers, the joints of his hands cracked with the strength he put in it.

All sorts of alarms were ringing inside his head and, had he not kept his cool, he would have used his quirk without any real need at that moment. Who was that second shot aimed at? Did anyone get hurt by it? Where did it come from? Mr Fist was not close enough from the crime scene to have the answer for any of those questions. He clearly didn’t want to deal with getting through that crowd of onlookers. He looked at the rooftops of the buildings nearby, turning his head to the left and noticing an alleyway. In it, there was an external emergency ladder. Gao couldn’t help but give himself a small smirk. He dashed towards it, jumping on a garbage dumpster on the same alleyway, using it as a ‘step’ to reach the retracted emergency ladder. His two-part jump were successful, as his right and left hands grabbed the ladder.

Without much difficulty, he made to the top of the building. On the rooftop, he started to dash, getting momentum, jumping from one rooftop to the next. At the last jump, he arrived to the same rooftop the rabbit warrior were. He probably had noticed Gao’s faint pitter-patter from the second rooftop. If the rabbit turn towards him, Gao will give him a friendly nod, while keeping himself silent, turning his attention to the ground on the streets. Squinting his old eyes, he tries to notice anything that would catch his attention.

THE HEADACHE BEGINS
Tsukuyomi Hachiman
Two Pills and One Drink to go PLS

As Tsukuyomi looks down at the bottles that he just bought, he came to realize one question: How am I going to hide this from Ichiro? Obviously, everyone has a secret and Tsukuyomi definitely knew how to hide his, but when it came to alcohol Ichiro can sometimes seem like a bloodhound. Just as a precaution, he asked the cashier for an extra plastic bag. Not only would it hide the label better, but there’s a lot of expensive alcohol in his bag and he didn’t want the bag to rip. "You got quite a few bottles there, I hope you intend on sharing." Shit, I hope he doesn’t realize that one of these bottles is for him. OK play cool. “Of course I would share. I can mix you up something when we get back to HQ” As he walked out of the store, he found a small bag of catnip just laying on the ground Who could have dropped this? Tsukuyomi glanced around in hopes to find the person who dropped it. Not knowing where it came from and seen that it is finders keepers. He retrieved the catnip and put it in his suit jacket.

"Let's go investigate a murder. The idea of getting shot today just sounds so riveting.”

"Murder? What murder?"
At that moment, Tsukuyomi quickly but carefully took out his earpiece and examined it. He facepalms, realizing he completely forgot that he turned it off because he didn’t want to be bothered during the trip. The good thing is at least somebody had their earpiece on because if not today would’ve been less interesting. Before he could even say a word he watched Ichiro running back to the agency’s vehicle. “Come on Katayama, you don’t want to fall behind. This is when the fun begins.” Katayama doesn’t seem like he is enjoying this trip. Granted he was probably getting annoyed by Ichiro’s comments. Tsukuyomi knows that Ichiro it’s just messing with the new guy because it’s fun for him. He was a newbie and he can’t change that. Eagle would always mess with him all the time. Hopefully, the kid enjoys his first official mission with the team. Finally, they get to the vehicle and Tsukuyomi puts his bag of bottles right next to Ichiro’s bottle of sake. "After we investigate the scene, drinks are all on Katayama." He grins at that comment. All he cared about is that he wasn’t the one paying for it this time. Ichiro spent over $200 on alcohol the last time Tsukuyomi took a small group out for lunch. His earpiece finally connected to the COM system and the first thing he hears is: “TATSUO, WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU YESTERDAY!?” He grabs and pinches his four head like he just instantly received a massive headache. How many times have I told Nakano to not scream into the COM system? After Ichiro Stop fucking with Nakano, Tsukuyomi joined in the chaos that is this conversation. “Yeah give Nakano a break, she probably didn’t have anything food to wrap her medication in. Ichiro are you sure you’re sober enough to drive, do I need to get the breathalyzer out again? It’s not that’s Tsukuyomi doesn’t trust Ichiro’s driving. It’s just sometimes he questions himself on why he lets the alcoholic drive the company vehicle. At least he was just investigating and he didn’t have to worry about any problems when they arrive.

BANG!

Tsukuyomi wondered what the FUCK just happened. “Nexette, are you okay?” he asked noticing right after the gunshot she went silent. He grew worried, not knowing if he just lost a teammate as well as a friend.

"The shooter is still active... I got hit, but barely..."

He was relieved that his fear was just lying to him. Great! This day can get worse! His headache grew stronger because he knew that this is going to be a long day. “We have an active shooter still in the area. We need all eyes looking for the suspect.” he turns his attention to Kathy. “Nexette, Do you see where the shot came from at all?” As his headache got worse, he reached for his bag and pulled out a bottle of Tylenol and his extra flask full of A mixture of tea and vodka. He takes two pills then takes a sip of the flask to wash it down. He was now ready to deal with the bullshit of the day.

Chromatic Crusader (C.C.)
tumblr_n6jkcnN3AM1sbzcyeo1_1280.png
The great thing about hero costumes—they hid her identity. The downside of hero costumes—they were easily recognizable by the masses. Fortunately, Chromatic Crusader wasn’t one of the Top Heroes on Japan’s Billboard Chart, so she didn’t get stopped by too many random civilians asking “C.C.” for her autograph, though a couple of camera flashes here and there were unavoidable.

A red glow showed through the googles sewn to her hood as Chromatic Crusader, nicknamed C.C. by those who thought her hero name was too tiring to say, surfed through the skies on a red-splattered skateboard, a can of red spray paint in her hand. From her position in the sky, which gave her a birds’ eye view, it wasn’t difficult to spot where Nexette was—nor the scene of the murder, which was suitably crowded. East of the from Nexette’s location. East from Nexette’s location. That gave her a direction at least, but she needed a distance to pinpoint where the shot had come from…and at that point C.C. could only guess. 100 meters? 1000 meters? She’d read somewhere that the longest sniper shot was around 3500 meters…without a quirk…so the shooter shouldn’t be any further than 2 miles from the scene of the murder…if they didn’t have a quirk. Chromatic Crusader groaned as she sailed eastward. Quirks made things more complicated. There were also far too many buildings in the urban city of Tokyo as well.

Then, as if to give the Paint-wielding hero a sign, the gun shot sounded off again.

“Did you hear that, Springer?” C.C. swerved her skateboard around and landed it atop one of the tall buildings, wheels rolling along the roof until she kicked it to a stop, one hand touching her earpiece as she did so. The mask she wore distorted her voice somewhat so she didn't exactly sound like Aya...but those who've worked with her before could easily tell that she'd simply put her hero costume on. “Sounded like it came from this building, yeah?”

The rabbit hero had the best ears in the Eagle Agency, if she remembered correctly. Her ears were decent...but it was hard not to miss a loud bang.

Stepping to the edge of the roof, Chromatic Crusader crouched and squinted. Her eyesight was a solid 20/20, but even she needed a scope for clearer vision given the height of the edifice. Not like she was gifted with a super vision quirk. Still, C.C. managed to make out the tiny figure that exited the tall establishment with a bag. Were they the shooter? Hard to say. She hadn't seen the gun, so it might very well be a random civilian exiting the building because…well…any number of reasons really. Did anyone need a reason to leave a building? “Your barely getting hit wasn't for nothing, Kat. Suspicious individual spotted…maybe. I didn’t actually see the gun." The last part was admitted in a somewhat embarrassed manner. "Should I stop him or secretly tail him for now?”

Personally, she thought it better to silently follow since she wasn’t entirely positive the person she found was the culprit and accusing a random civilian of being a murderer just because they were the first to leave the building she suspected wasn’t something she looked forward to doing. Better to wait until the culprit revealed themselves…but dilly dally for too long and the villain might get away. If she were spotted while attempting to silently follow, she would lose her element of surprise as well. Not like her attire made her the sneakiest hero around. Arms folded, the hero wielding a can of spray paint tilted her head in thought.

Jin listened attentively to both the confirmation of others arriving, as well as Nexette's response to his initial question; though what she was saying and what he had eventually heard through both the comm device and from his own heightened hearing had contradicted one another. Ears ringing from the shot fired, Jin flinching from the noise echoing from his own sense of hearing as well as the comm device had brushed aside his discomfort. "Nexette are you alright?!" his voice slightly louder and more urgent than usual as his head shot towards the direction of where the initial *bang* had come from. Jin turned his attention down towards where she was and saw movement as well as the activation of her quirk, signs that she had not been 'offed' by the shooter. Immediately Jin had found this to be suspect, Had he missed on purposed this time? and if so had it been purely coincidental that the shot had been fired right as Nexette had brought up the possibility of the shooter already leaving? If so, the shooter had basically just screwed himself over, confirming his presence in the area and in doing so, easily making it clear what the priority was. The next mistake of course was his decision to fire upon a hero... an act that would just about diminish any hopes of sympathy from those that tended to sympathise with 'tougher' punishments for villains.

It had now become personal. A member of Eagle Agency had now been targeted and god forbid anyone who would get in the way of the Agency members protecting one of their own. Jin was not the most violent of characters... but there were definitely those in the agency who would not shy away from enacting divine retribution.

"It was hard to miss" replied Jin as Chromatic Crusader prompted him via the comm device. "It sounds like it came from one of the middle floors. If I am not mistaken that building's purely residential?"

Eyes focused on the building, Jin soon found an opening in one of the windows, a potential snipers perch from where the two shots could have originated from. It did afterall overlook the street below. Though before he could mention as such, his ears began to pick up the sound of footstops from the building adjacent and if that had been the only thing his senses had caught, he'd have turned and been on edge. Alas, the wind was blowing from the same direction of the footsteps and with its invisible grasp came the recognisable scent of Old Man Gao.

"Mr. Fist" addressed Jin glancing sideways ever so slightly to confirm that it was his fellow hero approaching, "That building over there, where Chromatic Crusader is standing, 13 floors up from the ground, 8 windows from the right... can you see it? That open window" spoke Jin, hand pointing in the direction. "The shot came from that general direction.. doesn't that look like the perfect perch for a shooter?" questioned the rabbit hero. He'd have loved to have gotten more confirmation from his senses, yet the residual ringing in his ears from the sudden bang of the shot was still making it a bit hard to focus his hearing at this point.

Jin remained focused on the open window, waiting to see if he could notice movement or even the barrel of a gun poking out from the opening. Yet after a few minutes, nothing had happened and he was about to question Mr Fist if they should enter the building when Chromatic's voice came through the comm's again. Quickly Jin glanced to the bottom of the building and saw the individual that she had pointed out. Indeed, that large black bag did look a bit suspicious.

"Chromatic, I see the individual you are talking about... they seem to be in quite the hurry" remarked Jin, eyes attempting to keep up with the potential suspect. Whilst C.C waited for approval on what they should do, Jin had already began to make his move. "Mr. Fist, shall we join up with Chromatic?"

If there was anything in the world that could possibly offset Tatsuo's stoic demeanor—of which there were few and far between—the most notable would be disrespecting a Shinto shrine on its very grounds. The other would be—

“TATSUO, WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU YESTERDAY!? IF I DON’T GET TO SKIP OVER A MISSION THEN YOU SURE AS HELL CAN’T EITHER, YOU BETTER HAVE AN EXCUSE FOR THIS!”

—Nakano's ear-piercing screams into the comms. And withing seconds after leaving the shrine, she almost toppled right over with a shred of panic, on the verge of spurring the Miko into action. The kami following Tatsuo dispersed as well, feeling the sudden spike of stress that their bridge faced. They swirled around the area in circles, dotting the place by the hundreds as Tatsuo regathered herself. "Hush!" The whisper-shout was sent to both the comms and the spirits, stopping them in their tracks. "The kami grow stressed with your abrupt reprimanding..." The statement was said with a tone of warning and discontent. "And no, Ichiro, I was not partying. If you must know, I was excused that day. The kitsune—the one that appeared the day I manifested my quirk—showed itself to me at the shrine. It wanted me to follow back to Izu. Long story short, it led me to an elderly man who'd been faithful all his life, and I was to help him ascend. If I was able to be present with you all, I would have loved nothing more than to assist."

Taking Nakano's personality into consideration, Tatsuo doubted it would ease her temper by much, especially with the others hopping in. If she were to take the truth with a grain of salt, then so be it. Tatsuo regained herself and made way at a hasty pace by the time Mr Fist's voice came in, by far one of the more serene of her colleagues within the agency. His gentle tone was a welcome shift from Nakano's barrage as he announced his soon-to-be arrival.

But the mood switched as soon as the unmistakable shot of a gun transmitted through the comms. Tsukuyomi was first to voice his concern, and—much to Tatsuo's relief—the one shot at was only grazed. Not exactly "taking justice in their own hands" if they resorted to shooting those trying to protect. "Oh, kami be merciful..." she muttered into the comms, albeit with more pitiful disdain for the shooter. "I am aware of those who let themselves be consumed by their burning beasts. I'm inclined to believe such is the case here."

By the time the Miko arrived on scene, Chromatic Crusader reported a possible sighting. Three of the heroes took to rooftop-hopping, giving them good opportunity to spot this suspicious individual. Tatsuo wished it were the same from ground level, where crowds of people made their way around. Tatsuo put a finger to her ear. "I'm here. If need be, the kami can calm these crowds so picking out the hasty should come easier. At the same token, they'd be certainly alerted to our presence." Not to mention the person had ample hostages within arm's reach. Too much pressure on the Vigilante could make things worse. A cornered animal is twice as dangerous.

Essentially, Tatsuo was now in the same position as her roof-hopping peers: awaiting orders. Meanwhile, a small bunsha shrine began constructing itself at the wall of a nearby building.

Figure 1: "This place is so filthy! I know you all got this gangster, criminal vibe going, but that shouldn't mean you guys should keep meeting up at these grimy, abandoned warehouses."

Figure 2: "■■■, there's a reason as to why we do these things. It's not merely for the sake of having this "vibe" as you have called it, it's so our group can conduct activities in a discreet manner since after all, the law does not look kindly upon what we do.

Figure 3: "That's right new kid, so don't complain too much about how we run things around here. Now us bunch are more laid back than most people in ■■■■■■, but keep talking and you might land yourself in hot water. Better behave yourself."

Figure 1: "...o-okay."

Figure 2: "Well, I'm surprised that someone with a small pea-brain like yours was able to find out where they were at. Then again, one can't hide from us that easily or for too long once we've set our eyes on them.

Figure 3: "Shut up, ■■, how about you go make yourself useful and stop lazing about here in idle conversation and tell the bosses that the operation will start soon. I am over you after all, regardless of the fact whether I'm sharp or not. I can be sharp in another way and you all know that would be painful.

Figure 2: Alright alright fine I'll go...you sure love ordering your vice-captain around.
...

Figure 3: "Don't mind them. Anyways, so this...is how you'll kill him. Got it? Make it look like he passed away peacefully just like an old man full of his years."

Figure 4: "...understood."

The present

"Yeah I guess so," he murmured, replying to what Ichiro had said about the liquor. He agreed that it was better than jet fuel, even though he'd never tasted it himself. Why would he? What's more was that he couldn't fathom why someone would go out of their way to drink- Oh. Right, he's just joking. This is the clown in the agency after all. Just one shot was already putting him in this weird mood, he almost thought for a split-second that Ichiro was being serious about what he said.

He had to get a hold of himself and not let one little drink make it hard to keep it together. In contrast, he remembered his father could drink huge quantities of alcoholic beverages and still manage to stay sober. He felt embarrassed that this was the one area where he was lacking at.

Regardless, what he drank wasn't something he'd go try on his own and it wasn't long before Ichiro had decided to have another go at him again with some lighthearted teasing. This guy was on a roll apparently, clearly enjoying picking on him much to his annoyance of course.

"Sorry to tell you candlehead, but I'm simply not into people shorter than me. Don't get your hopes up so much."

With that little comment, Masaru could feel his face heat up, and who could say whether if it was because of the alcohol, embarrassment, or shock because Ichiro actually responded to his little joke about the cherry blossom confession. Maybe it was a mix of all of those things. Putting his head down, he wanted to turn away for a second. As he patted himself on the face, it was clear that the stupid slight red blush wasn't going away anytime soon.

He didn't know how to continue things after Ichiro's remark. Along with the fact that he's just feeling off, now he really wanted to just go home, to just disappear from this whole thing...although he's never been the type to back down from a challenge or anything that was intimidating at first.

So he marched right up against Ichiro, inched closer to his face, all while having a flimsy scowl and a red face as he did it and puffed out in defeat, "Shit- and I'm probably only this much shorter than you-" Then he quickly realized what that could have implied and hastily added more to what he said, "Not that I care- h-hah! Hmph, who'd be interested in someone who cracks lame candle jokes anyways?"

Seemingly undeterred, Ichiro just kept going and moved closer towards him, "I'm gonna go to the liquor store with Tsukuyomi before I go get my shoes-" Masaru subconsciously stepped back a bit then froze up like a statue when Ichiro put his arm on his shoulder, "And you are gonna join me in my alcoholic's paradise. Think of me as your mentor. I gotta show you the ropes of being a good hero. We'll start by refining your tastes in alcohol."

Yep. Definitely regret downing that one shot. He couldn't really spare any more energy to even respond to what he said, so he just glared back at him with little to no effort at all that it would have been more appropriate to call it just plain staring at that point. Gently pushing off Ichiro's arm, he hoped that was the last of his comments but he spoke or to put it in a better way, thought too soon.

"I'm not very rich candlehead, so don't expect me to vouch for you."

"Listen here, Treasure Map- I wasn't expecting youuu twoo~ you know wha- I'll-I'll stoh talkin-"

After a huge and long groan, he shut himself up since he realized he was slurring his speech a little bit whenever he talked, not to mention, gaining a small headache albeit a still problematic one at that. Even with these conditions, he had no other choice, that didn't end up with him being hunted down by Eagle, but to go and follow Ichiro and Tsukuyomi into the store.

...
Not much talking was done from him during his time there of course, mainly so he could spare himself from any embarassment that could happen and to keep Ichiro from having any more opportunities to poke fun at him. All in all, when it came to the actual place, he wasn't really interested in any of the "merchandise" the store offered to their patrons. In Ichiro's case, the guy really did look like he was in an 'alcoholic's paradise.'

As Ichiro raved about a bottle of bourbon, he had to tune him out for a bit since Tsukuyomi approached him unexpectedly. The guy with the eyepatch struck up a conversation with him, asking Masaru if he found anything noteworthy. He simply shook his head, cutting the conversation rather shortly, not to mention awkwardly. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk to him, in fact he did want to get to know Tsukuyomi better, the man looked fairly young, not much older than him he'd bet but there was a rare aura of maturity for his age that he put out. Masaru was curious of his quirks and his "quirk."

Sighing softly, he guessed he'd have to wait a bit to see those things in action. There definitely was a sort of mystery to the guy with the even if it wasn't intentional, similar to the woman who defused the fire villain situation from yesterday. Intrigued, he made a mental note to try to learn more about them. People who could hold their own interested him and inspired him to grow not only as a quirk user but also as a hero worthy of the hearts of the common people.

He'd have to get them to train with him at some point, like a friendly yet serious training match, going all out and absolutely no holding back. Just thinking about what their fighting skills could be like fired him up...although not too much since he felt like his head could explode at any minute. He had to calm down, he could tell his fire-resistant gloves were at their limit, streams of steam unfolding out from his hands. It was a good thing, he put them on before they left the agency.

The alcohol probably didn't help his case at all with this either. He never really thought too much about how his quirk was affected by it since he rarely ever drinked. Like putting gasoline on a fire, he had to be more careful in the future if this is what it did for him. But talking to Tsukuyomi right now was a no. Masaru just knew himself well enough that it was better to keep quiet in this type of state. As the old saying goes- Less talk, less mistakes...especially if there's a guy like Ichiro around..

As they proceeded to check out, with quite a few bottles in tow, his two companions flinched. He tilted his head in confusion. Was something happening? He looked at Ichiro and Tsukuyomi ...earpieces? Wait- He thought back to the fever dream-like conversation with Eagle prior to joining the agency and even this morning. Did that crazy bird even mention anything about them?

He felt like an idiot, and it seemed like there was no one he could really blame but himself. About ready to go and hurl his strap bag across the store, Ichiro stopped him from going through with it by getting in front of him, unintentionally snapping him back to his senses. He let go of the strap and folded his arms.

"..What do you want? Can't you see I'm about to-"

"It sounds like they ran into quite the situation out there."

"Wait what does that mean- and who did? Someone from the agency?-"

"You may actually get to see action today; I guess your initiation will have to wait."

In truth he was was simultaneously relieved and disappointed, he'd already started preparing himself mentally for his arcade "initiation" only for it to suddenly become the least of his concerns. Ichiro mentioned something about action? Actual hero work? Now that's something he could get into. There was no denying he was pumped up, he couldn't wait but he let Ichiro continue since he wasn't done talking about the whole situation. It seemed like a pretty dicey one from the sound of it.

"Let's go investigate a murder. The idea of getting shot today just sounds so riveting."

A murder investigation huh. This would definitely be a first for him, but while he'd never done things like that on his own, the late Katayama Sr. who worked in the forensic field years ago often told him his experiences in the job.

With the general information about the mission conveyed amongst their little group, the three of them took their purchases or "goodies" and set them aside somewhere in the vehicle for safe keeping. Geez, they're treating them like they're gold bars or something.

...

"After we investigate the scene, drinks are all on Katayama."

"Hey, I never agreed to that- Shame on you, you do know I'm on vacation when Eagle recruited- J-just shut up and drive Treasure Map," he said annoyed as he got into the car although there was no hiding the fact that a slight smile crept up on his face, as time continued to pass, he was starting to feel a little bit better, his slurring had subsided and his headache was clearing up. On top of that, he was finally going to do actual hero work, not stroll around in some mall.

This whole agency gig was nowhere close to what he thought it would be, he wouldn't admit it to anyone else except himself but he was beginning to enjoy being a part of it all. His thoughts were interrupted when out came a beast of a voice, absolutely primal. It made him wonder if it was the tiger woman from yesterday. It probably was, without a doubt.

"TATSUO, WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU YESTERDAY!? - IF I DON’T GET TO SKIP OVER A MISSION THEN YOU SURE AS HELL CAN’T EITHER, YOU BETTER HAVE AN EXCUSE FOR THIS!”

Sheesh, I bet even for Eagle, she's a handful. The message was far too loud for his liking and it wasn't even his earpiece, he genuinely felt sorry for the two. That was the last that he could hear about the situation on his own, both Ichiro and Tsukuyomi did all the communicating with the people that weren't with them. He felt not only useless but also clueless. All he knew was that there was a murder and other bits of information he couldn't really quite connect to the murder at the moment.

It was clear that Ichiro and Tsukuyomi were taking this somewhat seriously, so he didn't bother them too much, especially Ichiro, he was the driver after all. Wouldn't wanna crash the car. He still couldn't believe it, someone like him driving although maybe he shouldn't doubt him too much, they did make it to the mall in one piece the previous drive.

Then there was the problem of being unprepared at least in his eyes. Without his usual black uniform, he felt like he wasn't even suited to fight, aside from his gloves, these 'designer' clothes that he was wearing would fail to be of any use if he ran into a dangerous situation.

"I'll leave my bag here, no touchy," he said when there was a pause in the two's conversations. He took out his red headband and tied it around his head, covering the scar fully once more. At least he had this, it was all he needed anyway to psyche himself up for imminent action.

Jin could smell a peculiar scent from the old man: it was a mix of chamomile and cinnamon. The old man turns his attention to the building Springer points to. Concentrating, his eyes darted through the windows and, after a quick math, Gao focused on the window he was mentioning. The old man started to rub his chin, his fingers following the form of his mustache. From the mentioned window, Mr. Fist draws a line on his head, following it with his eyes. At the end of it, he finally notices the crime scene. Even though he isn’t able to see that much detail from such a distance, he notices a pretty big red splatter on the ground. That certainly was where the villain was assassinated. He nods, turning to Jin - I am pretty sure you are correct about that! So, if the shot came from that window, then the killer… - His voice was raspy and creaky. The old man suddenly stops his train of thought, looking again at Springer, paying attention to something - Oh!!! - He seems to have realized something very important: his earpiece! He had totally forgotten to put it on and was probably missing quite a bit of important information from the other heroes. Embarrassed, he stuck his hand in the side pocket of his yi-fu, fishing for it. While doing so, the old man sticks his tongue out, biting it a bit, his eyes looking upward, in the direction of his own forehead - Aha! Here it is! - grabbing the earpiece, he adjusts it on his ear and finally is able to listen to the whole team.

He was about to make a comment when he suddenly heard a woman’s voice through the earpiece, not being familiar with who that was. She informed the group that she had sights on someone who appeared to be suspicious. The rabbit warrior answered the mysterious woman and, by doing so, made it clear to Gao that the woman was none other than the colorful hero, Chromatic Crusader. The old man’s eyes quickly moved to the location that was mentioned by her. Unfortunately, due to his old age, his vision wasn’t that good anymore. He saw something moving, somewhat faster than the other small dots he could see. So the question was: was that the killer? They just couldn’t afford to let them escape, even more after they killed a villain and made an attempt on a fellow hero’s life. Hate started to build up in the old man’s heart, taking quite a bit of effort for him to squash that ugly emotion as fast as he could.

Gao’s eyes darted around the scene he was watching over the ledge, going from the possible killer to the crowd. The old man notices that there is a small pocket, devoid of onlookers, in jumping distance from the building that both him and Springer are on top of. With that, his mind started to rattle and an interesting plan came to existence. If it didn’t work, there would be no downsides, aside from him activating his limited quirk and being in big trouble if he needs it later on. If it worked, however, there was everything to gain. After putting some thought into it, comparing the cons and pros of it, he decides he will execute it. At that moment, Jin asks if they should join the colorful hero. Mr. Fist turns his head towards him, with a small smile on his lips - I have a plan. It would take us to ground level however… - he says that and starts to unbutton the upper part of his yi-fu. Opening the front, he removes both of his arms from the sleeves, taking it out. With that, the old man’s upper body was revealed. Springer could see his scrawny figure: his rib bones could be seen easily, due to his lack of fat; on his back, his column also stuck out; his arms were pretty thin and, as his tendons moved, his skin shifted with them.

With his yi-fu on his hands, holding it by its sleeves, he put each one around his hips, tying them on the front with a double knot. After making sure it is secured, forcing the knot on his sleeves to be even tighter, he right hand moves to the earpiece, activating his inter-comm - Chromatic Crusader, could you please keep a close eye on the suspect? I am about to try something and, depending on their reaction, you should close on them! - his raspy, creaky voice seemed pretty excited. Gao got even more certain that his plan would work as soon as he heard that Miko was on the scene and what she could do to help them find the hasty suspect - Ahhhh, Miko! It will certainly be perfect if you can calm this crowd! They are bound to get quite restless in a few moments! - the old man said as the excitement in his voice grew even more. He turned to Jin, pointing to his own back with the thumb of his left hand - Get on it! I am sure this will flush him out! - normally, the old man’s offer would seem ridiculous and impossible to anyone who didn’t know his quirk. Actually, even if they knew about his quirk, it would seem the old man has finally gone senile and it is time for his retirement.

Before Springer has a chance to accept or decline his offer, the old man put arms at his own sides, being just a few inches above his hips. He closes his eyes, concentrating for a moment before opening them suddenly - RAGING SPIRIT! - he screams, at the top of his lungs. Gao feels the all too familiar rush of energy, as his body starts to morph. His scrawny figure is replaced with a much taller, muscular and fit one - Don’t worry about the noise you are about to hear. Try to see the crowd’s reaction, see if there is anyone in particular that catches your attention. Mr. Fist, moving in! - he says in the inter-comm, not only for Chromatic Crusader, but to everyone at the scene that has eyes on the crowd. His voice, much different from when he spoke earlier, being huskier in a lower tone could be misidentified if it wasn’t his clear identification at the end of it. He turns one last time towards Jin, his face having a calm demeanor - Let’s go? - He extends his invitation once again, giving a bit of time for the rabbit warrior to accept it or decline it, before simply jumping from the building.

quirk.jpg

As he is in free-fall, he positions himself to have his chest turned towards the ground. A quick scan reveals the pocket devoid of people is still available and, in fact, actually increased a bit in size. He calculates there is about 10 yards in a circular area for him to work with, but even so he needs to be careful, lest his plan actually turns into a tragedy. He pulls his right arm back and begins to concentrate. Gao focuses his energy into a single point, as his attack can’t be widespread. It needs to generate enough reverse force to cushion his fall, deal as minimum damage as possible to the streets and enough noise to startle the killer, making them behave erratically, so the other heroes can identify them. The old man gathers enough strength to execute his plan on his middle knuckle. That is going to the point of impact.

It is finally time to put his plan into action. Mr. Fist makes sure his timing is correct for the attack, his arm shooting forwards with one swift move - HEEEYYYAAAAAHHHH! - the old man bellows as he attacks the ground. From his fist, the only part that connects with the hard asphalt is his middle knuckle, just as he had planned for. When his knuckle connects with it, the asphalt in a circular area of 5 feet around the contact point breaks and shatters. An extremely loud explosion-like sound was heard at the moment of the impact. Tiny pieces of asphalt are shot into the air and the said area caves in, forming an 8-yard-deep 5-feet-wide hole. After the initial strike, a weak shockwave is shot from the center of the impact. The old man did his best to reduce the strength of it, as it only really messed up people’s clothes, raising a few skirts and fluttering a few dresses of people who were closer to the impact area.

Gao jumps back after the attack, immediately pressing his intercom button, wanting to know if his plan was a success or a failure - Did it work?! Is the suspect scattering somewhere?! - he asks, looking at the general area in which the shot was taken, trying to get Chromatic Crusader’s suspect in his sights.

Ichiro took all the treasure map comments as a compliment, that means he was worth as much as the treasure itself. "Thanks candlehead, really appreciate the compliments." Ichiro said, stepping on the gas pedal so the car would gain some more speed. Ichiro narrowed his eyes once he heard the other gunshot, the car moving at increasingly dangerous speeds. "No touchy? I hope you made it through preschool because I'm not the best at teaching reading lessons." Ichiro said taking another jab at the rookie. Even during stressful situations, Ichiro knew how to crack a joke. "The shooter is still active on the scene, probably trying to blend in with the crowd. I hope you're not scared of getting shot, can't be freezing up out in the field." Ichiro said, talking seriously to Katayama. The last thing he wanted was someone who didn't perform his job in the field. After the attack on Nexette, there was no telling who the suspect would attack next.

The company vehicle finally pulled up on scene, Ichiro pulling up to Nexette's position. He got out the vehicle and was gonna take a swig but realized that civilians were watching. Probably not the best time to be taking swigs. Don't want them to have a bad opinion of me and the team. Ichiro walked up to Nexette and looked at her face, "Looks like you dodged a BULLET there." Ichiro said, turning away to examine the scene. He knelt down to look at the dead villain, looking at the entrance wound. "A perfect kill shot, I doubt the killer is as clumsy as we think he is." He said more to himself, getting up from his kneeling position. Ichiro turned to a nearby officer who was uneasy, "We need to cover his body, I don't want children to see it." He said, the officer moving to his police vehicle to grab a blanket to cover him. The killer is probably on the run right now. We're most likely away from the action. His thoughts were confirmed when he heard a loud impact not too far from his position. "Sounds like Gao made a move." Ichiro said, looking in the direction of the sound. "If you want some action rookie, I suggest you follow me." He said, starting to run in the direction of the sound. It wasn't hard to spot Gao out of the people in the street, his power made it quite obvious.

Ichiro stopped running once he made it to Gao, his eyes glancing ever so often to look for the suspect. "Haven't seen you in a while Gao, you left me all alone with the crazy cat lady." He said, referencing Nakano. "Got any descriptions for the possible suspect?" Ichiro asked, trying to gain more insight on the situation. All he could do right now was look for anybody he thought looked suspicious. He needed to get up to speed to be able to help in the situation. He knew there were some people on the rooftops; they would be able to get a better look than him.

Katherine replied to Tsukuyomi ( StealthyShades StealthyShades ) "Straight ahead...Otherwise the mark on my cheek wouldn't have been a mark...but a bullet hole..." she took a breath and listened out to those addressing her "I'd tail him...We don't know what he may have on his person..." ( QuirkyAngel QuirkyAngel ) and if she had gotten hurt, what would Kathy do? Despite being Heroes, they needed to be careful not to put themselves into situations that could get them in trouble. Jin spoke up, causing her to turn her head a little, still taking a look around from her current location. If they have eyes on the suspect, then we need to make sure it is him...Otherwise we could mess this up entirely. "That's a possibility we can do, Iori... ( AriAriAbabwa AriAriAbabwa ) It would help disperse the crowd but we have eyes on him already.... Besides, again, we don't know what he can do right now...He could have a quirk we're unaware of..." allowing her shield to drop, her eyes returned to normal, knowing that she wasn't in too much of danger now.

Meanwhile the Assassin kept moving, bag in hand. He wore a black hoodie and dark blue denim jeans. Mainly to blend into the crowd, but with a large bag, it would no doubt raise some red flags. After hearing the landing from a Hero not too far away, he remained as calm as he could, his heart racing and ready to bust out of his chest. A few sweat drops had began to drop down the sides of his face, stress kicking up. Literally the whole Eagle Agency was around, which meant his chances of escaping were slim. But they weren't impossible, just tougher than usual. I just need to get to the car, then It's smooth sailing...If the damn agency wasnt here, this would have been a lot easier. his hand gripped the straps tightly on his bag and his pace slightly increased.

Kathy glanced over as Ichiro approached, bringing Tsuki, and Katayama along. With his pun, she rolled her amethyst gems and looked away from him "We have eyes, but we don't have confirmation that it's them yet..." ( Slav Slav ) as soon as they had confirmation, she knew their team would pounce without notice. Kathy then continued to speak with Ichiro "His shot was possibly a warning shot...Which is why he missed my head by a little bit...The reason for that is unknown..." she glanced back over at him as he got a blanket to cover the body and took his own pursuit with Kata. "Make sure anyone suspicious does not get away...Not only did they murder someone, but they threatened a Hero..." she informed the group, knowing that they had a better chance to fight in this situation than she did. Explosions were not fun in the middle of a huge crowd. She was useless for the time being unless she actually managed to get close enough to do hand-to-hand combat with the suspect. Instead of going on with her team, she stayed behind, allowing someone to take care of the wound on her face. How could someone ruin that delicate skin of hers?

As Gao waited for confirmation from the heroes that kept their advantage points, with the suspect in their sights, his face relaxed as soon as he saw a familiar face approaching him. He smiled, looking at the new arrival in the scene - “Ichiro! Indeed, long time no see!” - he starts to laugh as soon as the Karate King mentions the “crazy cat lady”. His laugh slowly picks up volume, turning into a cackle and finally dying down as he answers his question - “Ahhh… you see, after I sparred with her a few months ago, every time she saw me in the hallways she would say: when the hell are we going to spare again, gramps? And you better use your fucking quirk this time around!” - Gao quotes Nanako verbatim, even going as far as to point at Ichigo exactly as she had done to himself, hand turned sideways, both index finger and thumb extended. Indeed, both of them had sparred and, as he didn’t use his quirk, it was a clear victory for the tigress. After that, ever since Sunotaiga got to know Mr. Fist’s quirk, she had been asking for a do-over, which the old man would certainly comply to had not been the constant missions he is in and the limited nature of his quirk. The potential he had seen in her during their practice was huge, and he had been wanting to push her to the very limit during a quirk-on practice.

The old man thinks to himself for a moment, moving his left hand to his face and running his fingers through his beard and mustache. His lips form a small smirk as he has a devious idea: maybe that would push her even more to find the killer? He moves his right hand to his intercom and actives it, still talking towards Ichigo, but wanting Sunotaiga to hear it - “You know, I had planned to do that sparring I had promised to Nanako later on today. It is a pity we got involved in this killer situation… I don’t even want to imagine what she would do to him if she knew he robbed her of our do-over… wait, why is this blinking? Is it o-” - he cuts himself off, releasing the intercom button, playing the senile old man’s part masterfully.

As Ichigo inquires about the suspect, he is about to answer when he notices an unfamiliar face in his entourage - “Mmmm… who is this young man? I don’t remember ever had seeing him in the Agency before…” - the old man starts to scratch his shiny, bald head - “Is this old man’s memory finally starting to go?” - he asks himself in a low voice, clearly wondering if that was the case or not - “Regardless, I am Gao Ling, known as Mr. Fist to the public. It is a pleasure to meet you.” - Gao says, closing his left hand into a fist, while covering it with his right hand, performing a quick bow to Slowburn as he introduced himself - “If you need a sparring partner or if you like drinking tea, you can always come to me… well, whenever I am free that is. I like to keep myself busy within the Agency” - the old man continues - “... mmmm… talking about tea, I could really go for some chamomile tea right now…” - the man comments, appearing to be lost in thought for a moment.

“Back to business at hand: according to Chromatic Crusader’s and Spinger’s descriptions, the suspect is carrying a decently sized black bag. From where we were, I could see nothing, but an excited dot going somewhere…” - the carefree attitude the old man had a moment ago dissolved in an instant, now having a serious expression that was uncommon for him, even during missions - “If we take in consideration where the shot was taken from...” - the old man points to the building the rabbit warrior had correctly assumed was the origin of the shots - “... I would assume the gun used need to a long range firearm, most likely a kind of rifle. But alas, I am not a firearms specialist” - the old man comments on it - “He shouldn’t have moved much from the entrance of the building for now. After this, however, I am pretty sure he is frenetic” - he glances at the hole in the ground he opened with brute force, before looking back at Ichigo - “We have some eyes on the suspect: Springer, Chromatic Crusader and The Miko are watching and possibly following them. Maybe the best course of action would be moving towards the building and trying to find the suspect on ground level. I know it isn’t that effective, but it is the plan I have at this moment.” - he finishes, waiting a moment to see what is going to be Ichigo’s party course of action. The old man then started to rush towards the building where the shot came from, pushing the onlookers out of the way, but making sure no one got hurt. He also waited for communication from Springer, Chromatic Crusader and The Miko to change the direction he was going to. Certainly, it wouldn’t be hard to spot Gao from the building and be able to direct him. Furthermore, he was sure they would chase the suspect as well.

Colorful Shadows
Tsukuyomi Hachiman
I SEE YOU...

As Tsukuyomi steps out of the vehicle he took note that it was already midday. With this in mind, he began to adjust his tie. He glanced up at the office building towering over him and then dropped his gaze towards the crime scene. Now why kill someone in one of the busiest streets in Tokyo? He looks around the scene as Ichiro checks on Kathy. During that, he heard Katayama speak up: "I'll leave my bag here, no touchy." the hero nodded in acknowledgment to Katayama about his bag. Tsukuyomi knew that there must have been something in that bag that the kid was hiding. After all, everyone has a right to their privacy. He spoke towards Katayama “You better start warming up those hands, Junior; Time to do some hero work.” He warned but continued “Also, there’s some extra Clothes in the vehicle if you want to wear something that can get dirty.” He turned his attention towards Kathy and notices that she was completely fine. He usually doesn’t have to worry about her but that was a close one. Hopefully, that doesn’t leave a scar.

A crowd of people slowly started gathering around the crime scene ages old to young wanted to know the so-called villain that died. Tsukuyomi watched as a police officer put a sheet over the villain’s dead body. He orders officers in the area to get in position to ensure the area is secured. He was snapped out of his thoughts as he heard a loud belching scream in the distance.

RAGING SPIRIT!

“I see the old-timer has finally decided to get out of the office. Hopefully, he hasn’t gotten rusty!” Knowing that he doesn’t have to stay at the crime scene, Tsukuyomi starts to run in the direction of Mr. Fist’s screaming. As he runs to the action he was very worried for his team, not knowing if this villain had a quirk or if he had any other weapons on his person. The lack of information was this suspect’s biggest weapon against them right now.

"The Tylenol finally kicked in and the headache slowly dissipated."
Now he has a bigger issue: Trying to get past the crowd of people that are flooding the area. Thus, making it hard to get to the location that the suspect fled to. With a little bit of clever thinking, Tsukuyomi used the shadows in the facility to conjure up a shade in a nearby high balcony overlooking the area. He uses his quirk to then teleport himself to that shade in order to get to a vantage point. “I know it isn’t that effective, but it is the plan I have at this moment.” He is rusty...fffuck. “Am I too late or has the party just begun?“ he asked Mr. fist, Jin, and Crusader.

“Im going to see if I can locate him with my shades” he started to grab some of the shadows that were under a group of parked cars. He conjured three shades to watch the exits and two others to patrol the scene. This didn’t take too much energy to do because he wasn’t making full human-like shades. He made them look like a black mist with mysterious amber eyes. “He’s heading south towards the parking garage. We need to cut him off or it’s going to be impossible for us to find him.” he starts to run towards the parking garage. “I’m going to need help cutting him off.” He runs towards the man with the black duffle bag. Finally being done this cat and mouse game. Tsukuyomi created four shades to surround the fleeing man. Now he is trapped and has nowhere to go.

Ahhhh, Miko! It will certainly be perfect if you can calm this crowd! They are bound to get quite restless in a few moments!

Oh dear. As soon as the small bunsha shrine finished and the kami accepted her invitation, it shined a bright white from within. Tatsuo waved her haraigushi left to right repeatedly, drawing out hundreds more of the small, orbed kami. The cloud joined up with the her previous numbers as the Miko hurried over to where Mr. Fist reported his location, thoughtfully near an open patch.

Tatsuo stopped n front of a parking garage, seeing as the closest and biggest bunch of bystanders grouped there. Passersby either paused, spellbound by the flurry of kami led by the Miko, or took it as another sign of panic; more so the latter. With the faint gunshot, a very alarming hero presence, and the murder scene a distance away, it was evident that these crowds were on the verge of panic. One big step could send them over the edge and start a stampede.

As she started the left-right-left motion again, the severity of the situation curved the ends of her lips downward. It was odd to think about; if the shooter had aimed an inch to the side, Katherine would be dead, just like that.

The kami spread out among a mass radius above the crowd. Clambering onto a bus stop, Tatsuo, in her bright Miko outfit, naturally drew everyone's eyes. This was briefly interrupted by the loud CRASH of Gao's landing, which she witnessed from her pedestal. "Please, do not be frightened," she said almost instantly, just after a singular scream erupted and silenced under her voice. "None of you have committed any wrong. All I ask is that you look up; breathe in, count to four, breathe out—sit down if you wish—look for what you recognize within the kami; what brings the most warmth upon you."

Nerve-wrecked and slow to think at the moment, the crowd did as told, one by one. And one by one, their panicked heartbeats calmed. Some sat down as asked, basking in the pleasant sights. The crowd stood still and in complete silence, enchanted by the mystical kami. Even in the period of chaos surrounding the shooter, Tatsuo couldn't help but smile at her work; at the families embracing each other at the spectacle, as if watching a sunset.

"He's heading south towards the parking garage."

The parking garage... That was... Tatsuo whipped her head around, then smirking. She tapped her earpiece. "Perfect. I'm at the street before it, keeping the crowd still. Either the shooter's trapped among them, or behind; either way, they won't be escaping." This way, the shooter couldn't use the constantly shifting crowds to slip by.

Another thought intruded the Miko's mind, and she reached for the lucky ofuda talisman in her clothes, gripping it with her two fingers. She thought a short prayer for the kami into the slip of paper. Just in case the shooter wanted to try anything on her.

“Hello!? HELLOOOOOOOO!? DID YOU PEOPLE MUTE YOUR COMMS AGAIN!?” Nakano yelled with such intensity that a few of the nearby bystanders quickly moved away from the tiger girl’s position, fearing themselves becoming one of those squishable stress-relieving toys should they look at her the wrong way. How DARE they ignore her like this!? Do they think they’ll be safe from her shouting!? In a fit of rage Nakano removed her earpiece, ready to crush it...And then she noticed it. The light was out. She had forgotten to charge it. Again. “...Huh, woops.” If last time was anything to go by Nakano knew she was going to get in trouble for this. Still though, this was definitely not her fault, it clearly was her senior’s fault for not reminding her to charge it daily. Yeah, that sounds about right, there’s no way Nakano would commit such an obvious mistake. Nope, no siree. Now, seeing how there was no need to break it, Sunotaiga simply stuffed the earpiece into her jacket’s pocket and continued her search for the culprit. Speaking of which, Nakano had absolutely no idea who she was looking for. As it was usual by now, the moment a spec of action manifested itself she’d always charge in first, ask questions second. Not exactly the most effective modus operandi, but it was for sure the most fun. With nothing but the knowledge that a gun had been used to commit the crime Nakano continued her ill-prepared search, hoping that she’d at least get to deal out some jabs. How hard could it be anyways to find a-

BANG!

By the time the bullet had left its chamber Nakano’s instincts had already shoved her down onto the floor. “Hah, took you long enough, buddy.” She thought, a sharp grin slowly taking form on the tiger girl’s expression. This was it, she was finally able to let loose all that pent up frustration she had been left with ever since last day’s apartment incident. Nakano took a few steps in the direction of the gunshot, ready to hunt down the culprit, when, even amongst a sea of the citizen's fearful cries, a very particular sound reached her ears: A baby’s cry. Nakano hesitated, taking a few moments to properly look at her surroundings. And then she saw them: Trollies. Scared children. Panicking parents. Both families and individuals in need of protection. Her body and mind kept telling her to ignore them, for there was action awaiting her presence. And yet she wouldn’t budge, for a small side of her had firmly anchored her to the ground. A very familiar voice inside of her kept repeating that she was not a street thug anymore, and that now she was a shield for those too weak to protect themselves. Despite her wishes, she knew what had to be done.

“...”

“God-fucking-damn it, Eagle.”

“ATTENTION CITIZENS, DO NOT PANIC, THE EAGLE AGENCY HAS EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL! EVACUATE THE AREA OR SEEK SHELTER WITHIN NEARBY STORES IMMEDIATELY! AND SHOULD I SEE ANY OF YOU SHOVING SOMEONE ELSE YOU’LL HAVE TO DEAL WITH ME!”
That was the second day in a row that Nakano had to use her crowd-persuading words to avoid any further panic, at this rate all that was gonna be left of her vocal cords was mere dust. Luckily it would seem that her overwhelming presence dwarfed that of the gunshot, and thus many of the civilians had begun seeking shelter inside whatever locale was available at that very moment. Still, there simply weren’t enough shops to shelter every single member of that massive crowd, and so Nakano needed to improvise. Without hesitation the tiger girl ran up to a closed clothing store and, with a single mighty kick, completely ripped the door right off its frame. “INSIDE! NOW!” Nakano yelled at a group of nearby citizens. As they all rushed in Nakano knew she’d get chewed out for this one too, all she hoped for was that the repair fees weren’t taxed right off of her paycheck. Whatever, there was no time to think about that, there were civilians out there in need of a shield. A very, very, VERY loud shield.

Chromatic Crusader (C.C.)

"Chromatic, I see the individual you are talking about... they seem to be in quite the hurry"

"I'm here. If need be, the kami can calm these crowds so picking out the hasty should come easier. At the same token, they'd be certainly alerted to our presence."

“Chromatic Crusader, could you please keep a close eye on the suspect? I am about to try something and, depending on their reaction, you should close on them!”

"I'd tail him...We don't know what he may have on his person..."

“Did it work?! Is the suspect scattering somewhere?!”

“He’s heading south towards the parking garage.”

When trying to secretly tail someone silence was important, so Chromatic Crusader (C.C.) opted not to respond to the Eagle Agency radio while she wove like an alley cat down the streets after her suspect. Right, left, right, right, the hoodie-wearing hero ducked behind a garbage bin while keeping the duffle bag-carrying individual within sights; A solid 20-meter distance with the target being none the wiser as she matched him step for step. At least, he didn’t seem to be aware of it. Criminal profiling had never been one of her strong suits so, if C.C. had to answer Mr. Fist’s question, it would be ‘not really’. They did were fairly good at keeping themselves composed—maybe a bit too composed—with only a slight quickening of their steps in the direction away from the explosion.

Then again, what sane person moved toward an explosion?

Ahead of them, Iori—the Miko—seemed to be calming a crowd. Then the air was dotted with black mist…and Tsukiyomi dashed towards the target from behind. Bright side, all the noise her comrades were making made it easier for C.C. to be sneaky. As the target became surrounded by Tsukiyomi’s four shades, the paint-wielding hero slipped from behind the garbage bin to find cover behind one of the parked cars, her skateboard tucked under her left arm. As easy as it would be to immobilize the target by his dark blue denims, C.C. opted to wait. Why? She didn’t know what the shooter was capable of and Tsukiyomi seemed to have caught him for now. There was no advantage to revealing herself yet.

With any luck, The Marionette, could defeat the ‘vigilante’ without her having to intervene with her quirk. Or do anything at all. It was only one criminal. Given the number of Eagle Agents on the lookout it was like Iori said—the villain wouldn’t be escaping easily. Still…C.C.’s eyes flickered to their surroundings. You never know what could happen. No one said that the villain didn’t have allies. If he happened to have a teleporting quirk then the shades wouldn’t be holding him either. A canister of spray-paint twirled idly in her gloved, right hand. For now, she would watch and wait to see what he would do, providing backup only as necessary. A cornered rat tended to react violently…and villains gloated less if they knew they were surrounded. She was curious why the criminal did what they did, so she hoped her comrades sounded suitably heroic while accusing him of murder. Vigilantism was one possibility…that he felt the right to deliver his own justice to criminals...the other was that the villain he killed had some secrets that he didn’t want being revealed to the police. Villains were all like that - their loyalties only lasting only as far as their comrades were useful.

Charlie was never one for joining the front lines, and she wasn't about to start today. Yes, she was a new recruit onto this team of... interesting individuals, but she really did not feel like being the show-off. Especially when so many of her new teammates were already on the move. The underground hero sat in her office, if you can even call it that. It was more like a dark corner of the agency building that was already littered with posters all over the walls, covering the rather plain white paint with random art she found interesting. This said corner had quite the computer setup, three monitors set up with another still in the box due to her.. well. Her laziness, honestly.

Her legs were criss-crossed on the worn office chair, taking a mental note to buy herself a better one, stat. Tired teal eyes blinked at the familiar fluorescence of the monitors, her headset bombarding her with the chaos of what seemed to be a chase. Nimble fingers clad with neatly painted nails speedily typed away, not wanting to use her powers just yet. "Well, I suppose this wasn't the best day to sleep in.. You know, first day n' all.." She muttered into the headset for everyone to hear, digging her way into several surveillance systems in the city to get a full grasp of the situation whilst trying to find the best path for trapping this vigilante. It wasn't until she heard Hachiman request assistance that she felt useful.

"Haywire here. I've got eyes on y'all, by the way. Know what fuckface over here has in his bag?" Charlie chimed in, almost sounding bored at the scene before her. The hero knew that there could be a plethora of things in the bag that could be good, bad, or just plain useless. Either way, this guy didn't look like he was gonna give it up any time soon. And that intrigued her.

In the start, there was nothing but...

Silence. And nowhere near the sky, living in a darkness paved with strife. A little boy, with fresh bruises and a gruesome new scar that marred his forehead, was left all alone in a dirty alley.

"Sir! It seems we were too late... DAMN IT- We..we were so close this time around. I'm telling you Katayama-senpai, someone in our team is a spy from the gang that infiltrated our premises- T-they must have alerted them! There's no other explanation!-"

"Hush Housuke, save your theories for later..I..I hear something."

Whether it was just mere coincidence or "fate," two quirkless people tasked to chase down ■■■■■■ stumbled upon that exact boy.

"...Well by the name of the current number one pro hero, if isn't a child!'

"Housuke, call our medical unit! The little kid's standing up, but look! Those awful marks all over his skin- Who could've done something this horrible-..."

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking sir? He must be-"

"Yep. He's connected to them. Kid, what's your name?"

"C'mon don't shake your head like that at me, surely you have a name right?"

"No? Well tell us what happened that led you in this forsaken hole?"

"Now, now Housuke, talk gently to children. I believe this child is the key to the eventual victory over one of our nation's most twisted crime syndicates. That's why if no one up until now gave you a name, I could... Victory. Hmm. I got it! Your name is-"

The present

'Masaru' *bzzt* *bzzt* He checked his phone, perhaps for the last time since he'll have to start focusing on the task at hand. It was from Ronnie, he grumbled quietly and quickly typed a reply saying he was busy at the moment.

"Compliments? Oh please, spare me the embarrassment," he groaned all the while rolling his eyes at Ichiro's silly little comment. As he was thinking of something else to throw back at Ichiro for calling him 'candlehead' again - which seemed to be the go-to nickname this specific senior of his will keep continuing to use for teasing him - a loud pop disturbed his train of thought and that was when the car's speed jumped into another league.

"Ichi- I mean Treasure Map! Be careful we might cra-"

"No touchy? I hope you made it through preschool because I'm not the best at teaching reading lessons."

Letting out a frustrated sigh, he looked at Tsukuyomi, who seemed to be containing himself fairly well as if he was used to Ichiro's antics or was just merely unfazed. Regardless, he had to critique his drunkard senpai about his poor timing, "Joking at a time like this? You're hopeless...and-and I did make it through preschool! I'm surprised if YOU actually managed to-"

Just like that Ichiro once again stopped him altogether although this time he sensed that the guy was being serious...for once. The lax attitide Ichiro usually carried ever since he met him was dropped instantly, or at the very least got toned down. He couldn't believe it, did he accidently enter a different timeline since the agency car was going unbelievable fast? Shaking his ridiculous thoughts, he listened to what his senior had to say.

"The shooter is still active on the scene, probably trying to blend in with the crowd. I hope you're not scared of getting shot, can't be freezing up out in the field."

Him? Scared? Thinking that, he couldn't help it, and a laugh escaped from him at the thought of him being scared of something like gunshots. He was the type to face danger head on, so naturally he wouldn't be as afraid as most people would be. That's not to say, he's not a tad bit intimidated by such things especially considering he specializes in close combat. If anything, ranged attacks are somewhat of a weakness of his and a huge annoyance to him although recently he'd learned the fire his hands conjured, if thick and pronounced enough, could prove to be an effective shield against things like bullets, arrows and the like.

He wondered if it was appropriate to joke back despite Ichiro's current solemnity about the situation, "Trust me Treasure Map, I'd be one of the last to back down from something like this. Plus, there's only been one thing recently that made me freeze up and that was when you put your gross arm over me," he teased lightheartedly, complete with a snicker, "Now let's get this show on the road, right Tsukuyomi-senpai?"

...

"Looks like you dodged a BULLET there."

I take it back, I take back Ichiro being serious about this. Once a clown, always a clown. With an accidental facepalm, he took it off him immediately, man his hands were blazing hot even with the protective gloves. As if on cue, his other and more responsible senior pulled him aside.

"You better start warming up those hands, Junior. Time to do some hero work - Also, there’s some extra clothes in the vehicle if you want to wear something that can get dirty.”

He wanted to say to Tsukuyomi that they were already far beyond getting warmed up but he kept the thoughts to himself, he didn't want to be rude towards a guy he found competent and worthy of mutual respect, "Got it. Thank you."

A little digging in the car granted him clothes he could work around in, at least much better than his mall outfit could ever do. On top of that, he found an earpiece, something he really needed. He quickly put that on and when he was changing into them, he got back in the vehicle and hid wherever his coworkers hopefully couldn't see him and he plopped right out as if time hadn't moved at all.

Despite donning a not quite pure white long-sleeve with some rather...questionable stains and a pair of jeans, he didn't mind. As long as he no longer looked like some stupid lost tourist.

Glancing at Nexette, who seemed to be the current victim of Ichiro's shenanigans, he made his way towards her once Ichiro went off to talk to an officer at the scene. He silently bowed his head, showing respect to the now-blanketed dead...even if the guy was a so-called villain. He knew what Ronnie would do at a situation like this, she'd go all out with long-held rituals concerning ethereal matters from their village.

At first, he couldn't really think of anything to say to the woman that held an aloof aura about her. Though he was absolutely dumbfounded, talking to her one-on-onr, there was definitely something on his mind he wanted to get out, but it wasn't to console her about what he thought was a close call - the bullet that grazed her. It probably wasn't a 'close call' to her since here she was, ever composed. In fact, hearing about it impressed him quiet a bit.

"Kath...I mean Nexette, I have to say you really are more than what you seem. Let's say you show me the extent of your power- that's right! Show me your fighting prowess by having a match with me! I mean...once we all finish this mission, of course- err...yeah!" He hoped he didn't sound like a dork, inviting her to show her to a match. It was a good thing Ichiro was there so that his conversation with her didn't end on an awkward note.

"Sounds like Gao made a move - if you want some action rookie, I suggest you follow me."

"Gao?- Hey! Wait for me!"

...

Wide-eyed, he sat there baffled looking at the old man...? This must be due to a quirk, but wow. He couldn't hide a sort of amazement towards the guy, he was most likely much older than Katayama Sr. if he was still alive. Now this Gao was the closest person he could find within the agency that replicated the respect he showed towards his father figure. There wasn't a doubt in his mind and heart that he and Gao would get along pretty well in the future. All the talk about tea and sparring got him real excited that it returned his attention to his hands.

I.. probably shouldn't have waited this long. Small tears had formed on the gloves, flames oozing out of them. His cousin would be upset if she found out that he just ruined a pair of these special, not to mention expensive gloves.

Waiting until Gao caught the two of them up to speed, he finally took off his gloves, and tosses them to the side, ideally he at least wanted to put it in a trashcan, maybe someone could kindly pick it up for him and throw it away. Trying to save it for reuse and pocketing it would just burn the jeans he was wearing, not to mention, they weren't his to begin with. The original wearer could be real mad if they were burnt to a crisp. Nevertheless a genuine smile lit up on his face from finally unleashing his quirk to the fullest.

"So someone with a black bag, let's do this!" Then he felt like he was missing something. He slowly turned towards Ichiro, "So we might have a little problem, would you mind leading the way? If people are giving directions through the comms...I can't exactly hear them cause I..." His face turned a bit red from his foolish mistake, "-might've put it on my ear but I...uh forgot to turn it on."

The mission was off to a great start.

~Let the Hunt begin~
[Mentions: Generally everyone at the scene]

Jin's ears perked up as he listened to Mr. Fist converse with Chromatic Crusader, the rabbit hero glancing ever so slightly in the direction of the older man as he mentioned the beginning of a plan to flush out the perpetrator. Though the aforementioned plan had taken a drastic turn away from what Jin had been expecting and had instead made his presence a somewhat focal point, though not in the way Jin could have ever imagined. it took a few seconds for Jin to compose himself before he spoke on the matter. "Thank you, but I'll pass, I can get down on my own" replied Jin in as straightforward a tone as he could possible muster. Whilst he appreciated the intention behind Mr.Fist's proposal, Jin could not bring himself around to the idea of clambering upon another mans back in a manner reminiscent of a piggy back ride. Just the thought alone was enough to make Jin falter for a moment.

Standing firm, Jin still atop the roof of the building had watched in earnest interest as Mr. Fist's body morphed into the muscular behemoth that now stood before him, the rippling sheen of the day's sunlight reflecting against the bulbous outline of pure muscle that encapsulated the older hero. If Agility was Jin's forte, then without doubt Pure Strength was Mr. Fist's closest ally. After extending his arm out towards Jin, the rabbit hero again declined the offer of climbing upon his back, every strand of fur on his body telling him that the resulting footage of him upon the back of an older man would have severe repercussions in the media... or reddit.

Remaining fixed upon the roof of the building, Jin leaned over the edge ever so slightly as he watched Mr. Fist free fall towards the ground, the brazen old man's figure getting smaller and smaller the closer he got to the ground, though the shrinking figure of the man as he descended did not deter from the large crater he created upon landing, the omnidirectional flurry of dust and debris quite visible to Springer, whose attention was quickly redirected to the direction of where Chromatic's mysterious suspect had earlier been. If the man was truly guilty of committing a crime, then surely he'd have reacted in a manner that would have given him away to the trained eyes of the hero's currently on the scene. In passing, Jin did take note of the company vehicle down below; the unmistakeable truck being quite recognizable among the growing number of police and medical vehicles. If Jin remembered correctly, Ichiro; the designated driver had been accompanying Katayama and Tsukuyomi.

"Just to confirm, the suspicious individual is currently wearing what looks to be a black hoodie, blue jeans and a large bag..." spoke Jin, eyes scanning the flustered crowd of onlookers as he tried to spot the individual once again. "Mr. Fist, I'll remain above. I am able to move more freely up here" continued Jin, suspecting that his fellow hero may have expected him to come down as well. Whilst Jin was further from the suspect up here, he knew it best to cover all potential avenues of escape and whilst the grown was covered with his colleagues, the skies were still quite open for possible escape, if not interference. Jin didn't need to be the one to apprehend the invidual, he just needed to make sure that the agency succeeded in their current task. Those below were more than capable.

Thankfully, Tsukuyomi's shades had given Jin a clue as to the direction of where the suspect had gone, South towards the parking garage. Jin turned his head southward and began to move, the rabbit hero picking up speed as he prepared to leap towards the building adjacent to where he was. "On it. I'll make my way to the garage via the rooftops. Be aware, there is no confirmation that the shooter is alone. It's a ballsy move to target a hero in broad daylight... he could have other schemes up his sleeve or accomplices nearby" Jin glanced downward to the streets, eyes spotting Tatsuo within a sea of civilians, the Miko at work as she took the task of calming down the unfortunate onlookers. Beyond her, Jin could just about see the cat like stalking of Chromatic Crusader, C.C keeping her distance from the black hooded individual. Second by second, the Eagle agency was closing the net around the potential shooter, at this rate it was only a matter of time before contact was made and questions were answered.

"I'm closing in on the gara.." spoke Jin as he lept from rooftop to rooftop, unfazed thus far by the physical exertion he had had to invest in this little pursuit. He was however interrupted by the as of yet unfamiliar voice of another one of Eagle's surprise recruits. Haywire as she called herself, the new voice upon the comms possessing quite the fiery tongue. "If he is the shooter, than its more than likely his weapon...." sighed Jin, ignoring the suspect's newly acquired epithet of 'Fuckface'. "Keep a close eye... if it is a weapon, he could try to dispose of the evidence... or worse turn it on us. As Mr. Fist is aware, there is nothing more dangerous than a wounded animal" added Jin, cheekily referencing the sparring session that the old man had earlier brought up between himself and Nakano.

"You and your tea old man. You should start drinking coffee like the rest of us sleep deprived young'uns." Ichiro was starting to hanker for another coffee, with his favorite ingredient, whiskey. He turned his attention back to the situation at hand, listening to Gao give a description of the suspect. A black duffle bag would stand out in any crowd in Tokyo. It wouldn't be hard to find the suspect at hand and knowing his team, they probably had eyes on him. Before Ichiro could thank him, Gao was already running off and he felt like he should probably do the same.

"Your lucky Gao is a hero candlehead or he'd be smashing your face in right now rookie." He said, listening to the comms to try and get a grasp of where the shooter was. As Katayama slowly turned to Ichiro, he was watching him from the side of his eye. "Lead the way? If you want to hold my hand, you can. I don't want our little rookie getting lost in Tokyo." Even in tense situations, Ichiro couldn't hold back with the jokes on the rookies and speaking of rookies,"Well, I suppose this wasn't the best day to sleep in.. You know, first day n' all.." He couldn't help the small grin slowly growing on his face, he had more fresh meat to mess with. "Even Gao has more energy than you and he's a thousand years old." Ichiro chipped in over comms, turning in the direction of the parking garage. "If what Tsukuyomi said was correct, we should be able to find our culprit in this direction." Ichiro said, running off in what he hoped was the right direction and a parking garage in the distance confirmed his direction. With Katayama helping him, he was sure that they would have no trouble in subduing him. If Gao chose to follow, that sealed the culprits fate.

"When we get close candlehead, wait for me to move in first. I'm gonna grab the bag to make sure he can't pull out a weapon on us but he could have something concealed. Trust your instincts, the last thing I need is a rookie getting hurt on me." Ichiro said, running at a steady pace to allow him enough energy for the confrontation. As he got closer, he noticed that Tsukuyomi had him surrounded with his shades. If he wanted to get a lick in, he'd have to act now. "You snooze, you lose." Ichiro said as he ran past Tsukuyomi. By now, the culprit was aware of what was going on but Ichiro made sure to move quick before he had time to react. Even though he wanted to smash his face into the pavement, there was always a slight chance that they had the wrong person. He struck the culprit in the gut to get him to weaken the grip on the bag and Ichiro pushed the culprit away, having the bag in his possession now. The bag was heavy and unless he liked bowling, he was pretty sure there was something harmful inside. Ichiro held back the urge to swing the bag like a weapon to knock out the culprit. "He is free real estate for anybody who wants the grab."

Tsukuyomi Hachiman
Shadow see Shadow do
Loud footsteps abruptly came to a stop. Four pitch-black figures closed in onto the suspect. Their faceless bodies caused paralyzing fear to flow throughout the man's body. He had no idea on what they were going to do to him at that exact moment. What were these creatures going to do to him? They just stood there, remaining still while blocking every way he could possibly escape. "Shit..." he mumbled underneath his breath. Tsukuyomi stood there with a grin on his face, knowing that there was no way that the accused was going to getaway. In fact, the Hero had him right where he wanted him to be. "You know, you against five is unfair, but I don't like to play fair with those who attack my family.”

"To start off, Mationette began to toy with the man's shadow,"
using it to entrap him. Not only that, but the shadow itself started to vigorously climb the man's leg, quickly hardening almost like concrete. This caused Tsukuyomi to chuckle "Well since you don't plan on going anywhere, how about I introduce myself?" He taunted "I'm-" The sound of multiple footsteps were heard, followed by the strong scent of alcohol that reached the golden-eyed warrior's nose. Shortly after that, he was greeted with a gust of wind and a blurred image of what seemed to look like Ichiro, followed by a taunt. "You snooze you lose." Tsukuyomi tried to stop and warn Ichiro, but it was already too late as his ally decked the suspect in the gut. This caused him to release the man from his shadow restraints Well that's the way the cookie crumbles. I had everything under control. he thought as he reached into his jacket, pulling out a cigar. Bringing that to his lips, he fished for the lighter within one of his pockets while also spotting something through one of his shades. "Crusader, you can stop fighting and come out now." he said with a smile "Don't be surprised that I saw you, I see everything. Especially with the shade I have sitting behind you, along with one hanging above to examine the vicinity."

Deciding against smoking his cigar, he instead restrained the suspect once again with the shades he reanimated. He glanced over at Katayama and tossed him a specially-crafted set of handcuffs. "Yo Kid! I think you should do the honors. You shouldn't have to worry about him escaping with these." It's not that the dark-haired male didn't want to get close; he just wanted Katayama to have a chance to deal with a possible criminal for the first time while working with a team. Even though he may not express it enough to the youngin', he really did believe that Katayama had the potential to be a Hero, after all: Eagle always had a good eye for those things. That was one of the few things that Tsukuyomi respected and admired about Eagle. Katayama is not like others. He has not only the determination of a true hero but the heart of one; even though most don’t see it, the spirit is there.

The old man stopped dead in his tracks as soon as he heard Tsukuyomi announce the suspect’s location. He had to readjust the direction he was going, otherwise he would have gone the wrong way. Before he started moving towards the parking garage, he saw the crowd dispersing near the crime scene. Although the area was pretty noisy, due to the sheer amount of people there, he could have sworn that he had heard the familiar aggressive tone of a certain tiger girl in the distance. Forcing his vision, he saw something akin to a tabby cat tail moving through the crowd - Oh…. so there is where she is… - Mr Fist thought to himself, feeling quite relieved. Not hearing any response through the intercom about his comment, he got quite wary. Certainly she wouldn’t let that go quietly.

Still not moving, his attention shifted towards the building the shooter was in previously. His eyes darted to the window that the killer took the shot from. For a good minute, the old man just stared at it. Something simply didn’t sit right with him. The place almost seemed like it was beckoning him to check it out. Gao was conflicted for a moment on what to do next. Regardless of how many agents were after the suspect at the moment, surely it wouldn’t be the best course of action to simply abandon it and go check the apartment because of a hunch. He shook his head from left to right, as if clearing his mind from those thoughts and started to make his way to the parking garage.

The path to the garage was clearer, certainly due to the Sunotaiga’s efforts. It wouldn’t take too much for him to catch up to the group. As he was running towards the place, he heard the lagomorph warrior through the intercom. It was certainly wise of him not taking the ground as the old man had done it - Hah! It is best that you have kept that high ground, Springer! The more angles we have on the suspect, the less likely it is for us to be surprised! - he commented on the intercom about Jin’s decision. As far as the old man knew, he was the only agent still on the rooftops: the Miko had reported that she was near the garage and due to the Chromatic Crusader’s radio silence, he assumed she was on the move.

As Gao approached the parking garage, he could already see the Marionette’s shadows surrounding the suspect. His concentration was suddenly cut off by a ‘colorful’ announcement in the intercom. It was a voice he clearly didn’t recognize, female as far as he could tell. She shamelessly admitted sleeping in and, following that, nicknamed the suspect ‘fuckface’, asking the possible contents of their duffle bag - ….. - he wasn’t sure how to respond and even if he should do so, seeing that Springer had already made an educated guess about what the suspect was carrying. Gao looked at the top of the nearby buildings, identifying the familiar white furred hero on top of one of them. The agents clearly had the upper hand.

There were, however, a few things to note that Mr. Fist kept on his mind. To begin with, Fuckface was still a suspect. Without confirmation, the group couldn’t act harshly or attack them. Well, they certainly could, but there would be serious consequences if that wasn’t the shooter. Gao could think of only two ways they could have the confirmation: examining their bag or provoking a reaction from Fuckface. A bigger problem was the crowd near the suspect. While they acted as a barrier, making it hard for the suspect to escape, their presence also limited the ways the agents could act.

However, Ichigo had already charged the suspect and managed to get the big duffle bag, which would be where they were carrying the firearm, away from them. Not only that, Tsukuyomi also restrained Fuckface using his shadows. It would appear that was the end of it. The old man took a deep breath, filling his lungs with oxygen before exhaling in a quick burst. He felt the all too familiar energy leaving his body, with it going back to the way it was before using his quirk. Gao unties the sleeves of his yu-fi, putting it back on.

tungbl.jpg

The bald hero walked towards the suspect, stopping in arms’ range in case he needed to act. Just as Springer remembered them, an animal is more dangerous when it is cornered and Mr. Fist simply didn’t want any surprises. He turned to Tsukuyomi for a moment, as he heard him yielding the capture in favor of the new hero. He nodded first to the Marionette and then to Slowburn, turning his attention again to Fuckface.

While the old man’s face was serene and calm, he entered a fighting stance. His legs were apart, his left leg a few feet in front of him, heel raised, only touching the ground with the front of his feet. His thumb, index and middle finger touched at their tips, his right hand was close to his face, while his left was in front of him, both turned downwards. He kept that instance until Katayama officially made the arrest.

While the rest of the agency was searching for the culprit, Gel Gal was ensuring the safety of the civilians. The second gunshot had reasonably shook the gathered crowd, and panic had begun to set in, and more chaos was not what they needed now. She continued speaking to the crowd, trying to raise her voice above the uneasy rustle the engulfed the crowd, but it was to no avail. They had almost witnessed a Hero get shot. That wasn't a sight that would sit right in their stomachs for quite some time. Thankfully, Nexette was fine, save for a slight wound where she was grazed by the speeding bullet from the shooter. Emergency services and other heroes were already tending to her, so Gel Gal could divert her attention elsewhere.

Where she failed, others succeeded, and Tatsuo was able to help ease the rambunctious crowd. Gel Gal breathed a sight of relief as she began to sink through the gel structure she had made. She very quickly sunnk to the bottom before it unfolded around her, setting her free, where she was covered in the green goop. Most of it slid off without much effort to the ground, where it made a myriad of satisfying plop sounds. The rest of it she very quickly brushed off, her mouth twisted into a sour frown, though the rest of her face was shrouded by the goggles she wore. After pulling the last bits of it hastily out of her hair, she seemed more at ease, and she walked away from the crowd, knowing Tatsuo could handle it for now. She wanted to check on Nexette.

She walked pased the deceased body, covered in a blanket by Karate King so others wouldn't have to see it. She paused, staring at it for a moment and the faint pool of blood beginning to trickle out from underneath. Her hand twitched, but just once before she continued on to Nexette. Once close enough, Minako looked at it, leaning in a little bit get a better glimpse of it, before moving back out of Nexette's space. "Nothing serious, I'm guessing? When compared to the possibility of the shooter completely blowing your cheek off, of course." Her morbid scenario was quickly forgotten about when she turned to the direction the rest of the Agency members were moving.

"They'll catch them." it wasn't reassurance, but merely a statement of fact.

Gel Gal crossed her arms over her chest, looking over the nearby crowd, paying just enough attention to her comm-piece to make sure if she was needed. "Nexette...I'd say your suspicions earlier may have been right. If crime's been down 10%, then how come there have been two murders, of only recently apprehended villains, today alone? They were two seperate occasions, seperate crimes, completely different places even. One unwilling arsonist and one potential robber. But still, one after another is enough to warrant a talk with Eagle and the rest of the members, in my opinion." Gel Gal tapped her fingers on her arm, lost in thought. "It's tremendously worrying..."

As Katherine was getting her face patched and taken care of, she listened to the active comms, taking note of everything that everyone was saying. There was so many Heroes on the scene and she wasn't sure if there should be so many. This situation is treated as if there's a terrorist... We may need better strategies to this type of situation... she thought before she was approached by Katayama, who seemed to be intrigued by her personality? Her 'vibe'? Confidently, he challenged her, but after this mission. Kathy could admire the balls that he had to challenge her in the middle of all of this though. I don't think he realizes that if he challenges me now, he's not going to know what he's in for unless he has watched me before... he then skittered off to follow Tsukuyomi ( StealthyShades StealthyShades ) and Ichiro ( Slav Slav ). Shortly after that, she heard Haywire speaking up. "Haywire...You do know Eagle will rip you a new one...right...?" asked Katherine in her softer tone voice. As the paramedic finished patching up her cheek, she gave a nod in thanks and looked toward Ono who also approached to check on the Hero.

"It was a warning shot..." she said in reply "I was standing still, there was no way he could have missed... He did it on purpose..." that was the only explanation that she could come up with in the current moment. With a nod in agreement to the male being caught, she listened to the rest of Gel Gal's words "It's something that doesn't make sense..." she then lifted her hand to her comm and shut it off for a moment. "We're going to have to continue what we always do: Observe..." Katherine was always quiet, but it always came in handy when it needed to "It's possible that this person sits in front of a tv all day to see what villains we arrest...Then takes it into his own hands... How through prisons? No clue... Hopefully we can get information once we apprehend this one... He may talk once we do some interrogation..."

Meanwhile...

The man found himself not only trapped but he also found himself stumbling back from the impact made to the gut by 2 Heroes. The bag was no longer in his possession, which meant that these Heroes were gonna be met with a surprise if they were to open it. Inside there were needles, snacks, drinks, and bottles of what seemed like belonged in doctors offices, and a weapon at the bottom, but definitely not a gun that could snipe. "W-What the hell!?" he shouted, coughing a bit as he looked at the man holding his bag "Give that back!" he was going to try to play it off. After all, he left the real bag with that dumb Teal-haired kid ( poi poi ) . There was no way he was going to waltz on into a parking garage with the real goods in it. "Listen, I don't know what you guys are looking for, but I promise you whats in that bag ain't it!" he was nervous, sweating even, but who wouldn't? Anyone in their right mind would sweat like this with all the Heroes around. "Just let me go guys, come on! I have nothing to hide in there! I don't understand why you'd attack a civilian!"

The old man watched calmly as Fuckface started to protest the way he was being treated. A bluff? At that point? Gao sincerely wondered if he had any idea of who he was dealing with. Without a single word, he started to walk towards Ichigo. As he got close to the Hero, he simply grabbed the zipper of the duffle bag and pulled it open. Grabbing each side of the opening and spreading, so he could get a better look inside, he tried his best to keep his composure as he was surprised by the contents in the bag. He looked at them carefully, sticking his hand inside the bag and, shuffling the items around, he notices the weapon at the bottom of it. He stared directly at Ichigo’s crimson eyes with his small, hazel eyes and giving him a small smile - “It seems you won’t be charged with assault just yet…” - the old man commented in a low voice, so only the Karate King would hear him.

Grabbing the weapon, the old man takes it old of the duffle bag, holding it, so it could be easily visible, not only by the agents in there, but also so the crowd could see it. At the moment, he had the Agency and the agents’ reputations in mind. What would the public think of them attacking a civilian, apparently without good reason? So, it was time for the old man to fix the situation. He walked to the restrained Fuckface, stopping his a few inches of him - “As far as I know, you need a permission to carry ‘this’ around, unless you got a Hero Permission, is a member of the security forces or a member of the defense forces. Illegal possession of a weapon.” - the old man shoots a stare towards the Marionette and then the Karate King, hoping they would back up his claim - “Not only that… but also those syringes and bottles: are you trafficking controlled medication?” - Gao turns his head a bit, still keeping his calm, expressionless face, staring at the suspect.

In truth, the bald man had this uncharacteristic burning desire to smash Fuckface’s jaw. His left hand, that was hanging to his side, closed shut, forming a fist. His fingers forced themselves against his palm, while Mr. Fist went silent, looking at the man’s face for a few moments. Trying the best to subside those feelings, inhaling and exhaling deeply to keep his composure. Going back to Ichigo and putting the weapon inside the duffle bag again, the old man turned to Slowburn - “After you finish cuffing him, it would be best to hand him over to the police. I am sure they will be grateful to press charges against him” - Gao says, strangely not sounding like an advice, even though his choice of words, but more like a direct order. The whole situation clearly had hustled the old man’s jimmies, although he didn’t show it.

Had Chromatic Crusader mistakenly identified the possible suspect? While Mr. Fist himself couldn’t confirm the man while being on the rooftop, there was a confirmation by Springer himself. No, he shouldn’t doubt his fellow agents. That man certainly was the killer, but why the firearm wasn’t inside the bag? So many agents to apprehend a single criminal and yet he managed to play them. When did he have time for his switcheroo? I guess they should be happy that Fuckface will be arrested under some kind of charge and the Eagle Agency won’t get the popularity of having unhinged Heroes that go around attacking suspects. Gao pressed the intercom on his ear: “We apprehended a criminal..” - giving emphasis that it was a criminal and not the criminal, the old man said in a somewhat defeated voice.

He puts his head on his back, tilting his head left and right, cracking his old bones. Following that, he gives a pretty visible shrug - “I am heading to a café. I haven’t had my chamomile tea ever since I came back from my previous mission… I hope I find some marvelous cinnamon rolls too! Whoever wants to accompany me is welcome and nice work, everyone!” - he says on the intercom, going back to his light-hearted attitude, finishing with a laugh. Clearly it wasn’t a smooth operation, much on the contrary. But Gao knew these things happened, and it wasn’t his place to scold anyone. That would come from Eagle himself if he thought it was necessary. Turning to both the crowd and the Heroes on the ground, he gives thumbs with his left and right hand before starting to walking away towards the café.
