Ichika was surprised when he had only one question. She was sure that he would have had more, but that makes the process so much faster. After his question was out there, she couldn't help but let out a huff, almost like a laugh and pushed her glasses up her nose "Of course not! Eagle is high in the rankings, there's no way that one person could bring down his business, even though you have so much skill." she moved from behind her desk and continued to talk, moving her hands along with her words "Many people have seen Eagle publicly, they know where he stands. His choices and the outcomes of those choices have always been positive. Even with recent events, he always tries to make the ending a positive one to try to keep everyone's hopes up. He lives up to those hopes every time." she came up next to Armel and sat upon the armrest of the couch "Eagle grasps anyone with skill and pulls them into the Agency, no matter their background. He believes in second chances." she offered him a smile and got back up.

"Don't worry about what others think, don't worry about the agency. You're in good hands. All you have to do is just get along with your coworkers, and go on missions. Of course, we will have to evaluate your powers in person before we send you out in the field. That shouldn't take more than a day. After that, you'll be out taking care of the city. Hopefully with a new recruit," she then glanced at the watch on her shoulder "If he's currently interviewing." taking a deep breath, she looked back to Armel "Let's not waste any more time, you can ask me more questions along the way. The tour is simple, just be sure to remember where everything is." with a firm nod, she moved to the door and wrapped her hand around the knob before turning and opening the door for him. Of course, she waited for him before she followed after, taking the lead upon the tour, answering any questions he may have as she replied, as well as shown different areas in the building.

When Freed was quiet, she wondered what was going on in his head. Luckily the silence didn't last long as he began to speak though it was more of one letter, rather than actual talking. Growing worried for the guy, she stood up and reached out slightly before parting her lips to speak "Mister Cro-" he tried again and this time his voice got a little louder, catching her off guard as his hair suddenly seemed to ignite. With widened eyes, Akari began to notice blue orbs appearing around the area, Freed's hair becoming even shorter the more spawned. This is his quirk but I'm not sure if he's threatening me or he has no real control of it. she thought before the whisps became more than just whisps. But other forms of Freed himself "Mister Cross, I'm not sure what you're trying to do her-" she noticed the imitations began examining her "H-Hey! Shoo!" she said, as she waved her hand around, trying to make them go away. Good thing was, they weren't even trying to hurt her, bad thing was...The other Whisps took the same form of her before they spoke of her measurements. Causing her pale face to become just as red as a tomato. "W-W-WHAT!?" she shouted before whipping her head toward Freed.

Who only seemed to be now curled up in his chair, apologizing over and over again. The whisps had disappeared and returned the hair back to Freed's head, but he himself was still upset, terrified? Despite her red face and her embarrassment from her measurements casually being read out to the pair, she was still interviewing him. Taking a deep breath Akari closed the folder and approached him, crouching down and trying to get his attention "Mister Cross." she said, trying not to let her voice waiver too much. "I-It's okay. It was a mistake." even though she hated such a horrible mistake "Why don't we take a small break, okay? Give you a moment to recuperate. I can get you some water, or perhaps some tea?" in her mind, she knew that she wouldn't hire a man who couldn't handle his own quirk. But since all interviews had to go through the top lady and Eagle himself...There was a big chance he'd be accepted... Of course after he was evaluated... "I understand that an interview can be more intimidating than it actually is..." if he were to look at her, he'd hopefully notice she was trying to take a good look at his face and try to understand how he's feeling.

“I suppose, with a quirk like mine, either I became a hero or a hitman. The former just had more appeal to me than the latter, morally speaking.”

While Krauss gave his answer, an amused smile tugged at the corners of the albino’s lips; it was fairly obvious Shinobu found it kind of funny, despite the lack of followup one would normally expect from that kind of dialogue. I don’t really know you, but somehow, I can’t say I’m all that surprised. Returning the blond’s look, he ended up responding with a, “Huh. I wonder what you’re like at parties! Wait, does he even go to those?

“Listen, a month isn’t enough for you to know my reasonings.” Azure irises averted sight towards Tsukuyomi as the man in question began to speak up. “... But so you don’t ask me a second time, the reason I became a hero is because…”

"Hsadj fjkg rt thrdmwlfre vtrkl elt rslws gl kdsf!!"

―Ah? Where did all these loud people come from? … What kind of lame excuse for comedic timing is this… An inaudible sigh escaped from Shinobu’s form once it set in that trying to listen to what Tsukuyomi was saying would lead to nothing. Well, he supposed it didn’t matter too much; the question was more or less an attempt at smalltalk just so he wouldn’t have to deal with the agony of standing in a silent elevator with two other people that he (superficially) knew.

The more important thing here was eight people were jammed in a small box that should not have held more than six, so now everyone was pretty much squished up against each other until they all reached the lobby floor.

“Heyyy, omg! Guys, look…! Aren’t they…?” One of the girls whisper-yelled to her friends, causing an uncomfortable (in Shinobu’s head, anyway) silence to take over the enclosed space. Suddenly, all five pairs of prying eyes fell upon the trio. “Woah, awesome!! What’re Tokyo heroes doing here?!”

One of the more timid boys in the group held a skeptical look in his eye. “Euhh… wait, don’t tell me… they’re on vacation, even after…― well…”

He didn’t know why, but he felt the sudden need to laugh. It was so funny, right? Tokyo heroes in Okinawa. Out of place… it was weird―well, it didn’t feel weird, but maybe it was. So he laughed; it was subtle, calm, but clear enough to distract from whatever the boy was going to say, and it was cheery (as per usual). It was the kind of laugh you’d hear after someone realized a vaguely entertaining coincidence, rather than a joke.

“Aha, honestly, we didn’t know either ‘till this morning.” He paused as if that was all he had to say, before his hues lit up in realization. “Oh, but! Since we’re still heroes and all… if anything were to happen with us here, we’d take care of it, of course! Vacation doesn’t mean we don’t do our jobs, you know ~ ☆”*

Fits of giggles could be heard from the Spring Break Crew™. “Ehhh? But isn’t that what vacation means to begin with?”

And so, what was supposed to be a sheepish explanation ended up becoming joyful reassurance. In an elusive manner, he shot both Krauss and Tsukuyomi a look that could be read as, Uh, I can’t be the only one who thinks this elevator ride’s taking three years.

Charlie decided to ignore Tatsuo's mumblings,
knowing that this will be for her coworker's betterment. Blue eyes scanned through tags while nimble fingers aptly sift through bikinis, one pieces, tankinis, etc. It didn't take long for the raven-haired woman to snag a few bikinis that she found appealing. She kept them draped over her arm, still looking for more with a determined look before hearing a fateful, "This one is cute!"

Charlie didn't really know what to expect. Something a little dated, sure. Perhaps a bit modest... not this. Not Taco Pizza Galaxy Cats.. Horrible, distinct war flashbacks hit her all at once, remembering her tumblr days, and how much thirteen year old Charlie would have wished to wear something like that.

After taking in way more of that image than she anticipated, the rookie's gaze lifted back up to meet her friend's. "Tatsuo. Please tell me you're joking.." She huffed out, already knowing that the woman was not joking in the slightest. Didn't anyone help her pick out cute clothes? In a desperate attempt to divert the Shrine Maiden's attention away from that hot garbage, Charlie turned back to the racks, doing her best to find a happy medium for Tatsuo. As she looked, she spoke up again,

"I'm not saying you have to be super revealing, but at least pick a pattern that doesn't look like a twelve year-old photoshopped it..." Charlie fumbled with her small stack of bikinis, "Sorry, can you hold these for a sec?" In the stack was a plain black bikini, another neon green and black bikini, and one purple bikini with a dragon print all over. Nothing over the top in her eyes, but allowed her to express herself more or less.

The rookie knew she could be a bit nicer to her coworker about all this, considering the fact that it took years for Charlie to find a style that fit her. Perks of being holed up in a hospital for your entire childhood include not being able to be much of a fashionista. So, it wasn't like the hero was always able to separate good styles from the bad. It couldn't be helped, though... Tatsuo had to be led the right way. Even if it hurt her feelings.

"Oh shit! This looks super cute, what do you think?" For once, Charlie didn't sound so snippy or sarcastic, holding up a red gingham print bikini with an excited smile lighting up her usually irritated features, "At least try it on, and if you hate it, we'll keep looking! Here, I'll take my stuff back.." The American took her bikinis gently from Tatsuo before exchanging them for the red and white bikini, grabbing onto Tatsuo's free hand. It wasn't long before they both had a changing room, and Charlie began sizing up her picks.

There was a little bit of shuffling, and then a long silence.. Charlie looked up, looking as if she were speaking to someone up above, "You okay in there? Need help?"

With Shinobu’s comment, a blank face with the slightest hint of confusion permeated the German’s face for a split second. Sarcasm, something he understood, but never really found use for it. When it was Tsukyiomi’s turn to answer, the man nodded at his initial answer. He assumed that, sometimes, the reason why someone became a hero was personal enough that they would only confide with those who had been their friends for a long time. For them, it was disrobing oneself and showing themselves to strangers. For Krauss, however, his motives were quite practical, not touching any sensitive subjects.

But suddenly, they were interrupted by a stampede of, what looked like, vacationers. The group was simply overloading the small metal box, well above its limits. The fact that now the man was practically squeezed near the elevator panel didn’t please him a single bit. Even if what was being pushed against him was a pretty soft and round female behind.

Suddenly, the girl ‘screeching’ voice echoed in that confined space - “Oh great… fans… wünderbar” - the man rolled his eyes behind his green-colored glasses. It didn’t matter if he was known or not, surely it was a situation of being guilty by association. One good thing came out of it however (and no, it wasn’t Krauss). Since all the newcomers turned to face the trio, now that bubbly, round posterior wasn’t pressing against him. That would save him a possible embarrassing moment later on.

For most of it, just let the albino be the ‘spokesperson’ for the group. He clearly had a pretty good handle of how that situation was going. At least, that was what looked, until the conversation started to derail in the most amusing of ways. The look that white-haired hero shot, not only towards him, but also the black-haired hero screamed for help (at the very least in his own perception). As a show of being a team player, and while highly uncharacteristically of him, the blond man decided to step up.

“I think that what my partner meant to say was that, as long as we don’t have to get too much out of our way, whatever threat to this resort will be swiftly dealt with” - he said, cut and dry, looking directly at the small girl that let out the comment about the ambiguity of the albino’s explanation - “So… what you are saying is that you won’t go out of your way… to save people?” - the timid boy asked, probably trying to fish for something in his words.

The blond, towering man, bent forward, towards the boy as much as he could. Tilting his head downwards, with the middle finger of his right hand, he pulled his glasses slightly downwards, letting his eyes fall on the kid directly. A threatening stare started to form in his cold, expressionless eyes - “Yes” - the man answered, keeping his gaze on the boy for quite a long time. A dry swallow was heard coming from the kid throat and, only after that, the Westerner went back leaning against the wall, letting his spectacles snap back in place.

Beads of sweat forming across his brow, Freed despite being curled up was beginning to feel the life and whatever colour was left on his face begin to drain away from him. Despite being readily apologetic towards his interviewer, it was only now dawning upon Freed as to the severity of his actions. Ignoring the fact that he had used his quirk without prior permission against a non-threatening individual; which was already grounds for dismissal. Freed had over stepped the basic human etiquette and courtesy one should follow during a professional meeting. Without so much as pausing to think about it, his wisp had invaded Akari's personal space without even stopping to consider the consequences and repercussions of his actions had revealed something private about her.

Knowing full well that he was now tip-toeing the fine line between being escorted out by security and remaining in the interview, Freed had to spare a thought towards the attempt at simply calling it quits and making a break for it; such was the level of nerves presently consuming his fragile heart. The interview was stressful enough already, however to make matters worst he had basically harassed her by having his Wisp's read out her measurements. Curse his luck it just had to be a well endowed woman conducting his interview. His meagre social skills never stood a chance against such a fearsome foe.

Internally debating with himself as to what he should do next, Freed hadn't really seen or heard Akari as she approached him; the sudden close proximity between the pair of them almost sending Freed and the chair he was on falling backwards. In reaction to the sudden appearance of her standing closer to him. "I.. I.. I.... I'..m o.. o.. okay" he managed to fumble out as he fidgeted uncomfortably; his fist clenched tightly as he tried to force some kind of composure. "... b.. but.. if you.. you're offering... I.. I wouldn't.. mind some.. some cup noodles.." he added, his face tilted away as his eyes looked everywhere else except for directly at Akari.

After a brief period of silence and Freed growing increasingly more uncomfortable, the man would meekly look over to his interviewer, his expression defeated as he already assumed that the result of this interview was forgone and that his actions would deem him unsuitable.

"U.. Umm.. Mrs Akari.." he stuttered, biting his tongue in the process and wincing at the pain. "I.. I do have control..." he paused as he felt the taste of blood in his mouth. "...over my quirk.. I mean... " he spoke somberly, clicking his fingers as his hair dispersed into about a dozen wisp, each taking on the image of Freed. One by one each of the illusions would bow their head apologetically towards the interviewer before disappearing again back atop Freed's head. "..Its.. uh... I'm just.... I'm just not good with people...and.. and... your..." Freed closed his eyes as he looked away from Akari. "... your.. your top is too tight...I.. I can't concentrate!"

There he said it. A nervous and uncontrollable smirk would spread across his face as it turned bright red.

Tatsuo deflated slightly at her rookie's clear rejection. And here she thought that, as the senior, she'd be able to impress Charlie in some way! Was it a cultural difference? she wondered. "We really do not need to continue if you find this bothersome!" the shrine-maiden added nervously, taking the small stack of swimwear. Tatsuo made a note to research the current trends of fashion whenever she had the chance; perhaps spending all of her free time doing shrine work wasn't the best way to do so, even if that process repeated itself since childhood. And by the look of it, Charlie didn't seem the most eager about doing this...

That's what Tatsuo thought, up until complete stranger emerged in her face, swiping the bikinis from the Miko's hands with an unusually chipper smile. "Wha—Um, who—?" If not for the distinct look that the rest of Charlie's visage held, she might've finished her words. She was handed a red and white bikini, which fell under the category of cute, judging by Charlie's reaction. Everything happened so fast for her that all she could do in response was nod her head with stunned eyes.

In moments, Tatsuo found herself from the wall the of clothes and pushed into the dressing rooms before she could ask another word, gripping the red and white bikini firmly. And at last, she could give it a proper look... "Is this really fine...?" There were plenty uses of the mirror before any changing even happened. Once she removed her clothing and put it on, only now did she feel self-conscious.

Then came Charlie's voice through the changing curtain, just as Tatsuo finished. She twirled once in the mirror, still unsure if she looked any good or not. "I'm done..." she uttered, still checking herself in the mirror.

"I'm done..."
Charlie could hear the uncertainty in her coworker's voice as she spoke. Was she pushing Tatsuo a little too hard? Hopefully not, because this is about the most fun she has been able to have in a while. The rookie kept her bikini on, making sure to pull off the tag (to bring to the register to pay) before putting her tank top and vulgar sweatpants back on. Once she was done, Charlie stepped out of her fitting room, still holding the remaining bikinis she has yet to buy.

"Alright, how do you feel?" A brow lifted in curiosity, wondering if she actually managed to find a swimsuit that the woman approves of.

There was a pause, Charlie assumed it was due to uncertainty. "I'm sure you look amazing. Don't overthink it. Otherwise you'll keep us trapped in this shop for the whole vacation.." Another pause. Dark brows furrowed in thought. Maybe she should leave Tatsuo alone? "If you need me, I'm gonna be buying these bikinis. If you need me just.. scream or something."

Charlie's tone seemed dismissive, but she was genuinely curious to see how Tatsuo liked the swimsuit. Part of her was thankful that the Maiden even wanted to talk to her after the unspoken events a few months prior, and worried that she might be overstepping here big time. Even if Tatsuo was the one who offered to go shopping in the first place.

Wow, talk about over thinking..

The cashier, disinterested as ever, barely made eye contact as they finished the transaction with Charlie. It wasn't until the same, disinterested employee shifted their gaze over to Charlie's right, that she realized that Tatsuo was actually buying it.

"Holy shit, you're doing it?!"

After the girls bought their respective swimwear, Charlie had the hotel deliver her new bikinis back to her room, while she and Tatsuo kept on exploring their new vacation spot. They eventually found their way outside (heavily regretting her sweatpants rn), walking past the hotel pool, and towards the beach, where Charlie could spot a bar in the distance.

"Honestly, after such a journey, we both deserve a drink. You in?" There wasn't much time to reply, because the girl simply kept walking towards the bar, expression surprisingly content, up until she saw who was sitting at the bar. Her face fell slightly, not exactly surprised to see Ichiro there talking to a man she hadn't met.

"God damn it.." She muttered, unsure how to approach the more experienced hero after everything that happened. Charlie decided to just sit away from him for now, not wanting to deal with the possibility of bickering with the old man.

After taking a seat, she leaned over to Tatsuo, "You in the mood for anything? Tab's on me." She grinned, holding up her room card. "Well, on Room 405, anyway."

@THE_MARIONETTE @EAGAL_AGENCY
Everyone has a little bit of claustrophobia especially when the small room that you are stuck in is filled with people. Tsukuyomi was definitely not afraid of tight spaces but he was very easily annoyed by enthusiastic people especially if they were fans. Don’t get him wrong he loves that people look up to him, just don’t be annoying. Shinobu’s unstable Interrogation did not please Tsuki. It wasn’t fair for a “nice guy” like him to be pushed in a corner like that, especially by people who “admired him.” Luckily, The German stepped in and cleared up the mess because if the Man from Japan had to step in then there would’ve been a different outcome.

“Wait a minute, are you the Marionette?” Tsuki turned to his left and saw that two out of the three women in the elevator were staring at him. The young man cleared his throat. “Yes, that would be me“ The ladies began to scream and got the third girl’s attention. Of course, I couldn’t just have a peaceful relaxing vacation “Can the three of us get a picture with you?“ Before he could even answer the Trio they began to push themselves against him in order to squeeze The four of them in the picture. Realistically, He is fine with taking pictures with fans but these specific three positioned themselves in a very inappropriate position. He quickly tried to defuse the situation, by telling them that he respectfully does not want them to take a photo with him. “Why are you like… not good enough for… like… YOUR FANS!

"“No no it’s not that it’s just…”"
A few seconds went by as he debates on if he really should use her as an excuse? “I have a Girlfriend…” The girls began to squeal, demanding to know who the girl was. He reluctantly denied their request to know. In order to get the answer, one of them had a plan in mind. The elevator door slowly began to open. The three ladies pushed themselves into Tuski and quickly took a selfie. “Thank you Marionette you’re the best“ The trio yells as they giggle and catch up to the two guys that were with them. “What the f-“ He stopped and collected himself after that disaster. Calm down just hope that that picture doesn’t come back to haunt you. He turned his attention to the group. “I need a relaxing massage after that headache…. Did anyone else feel like the elevator was taking forever?”

Akari was just staring at him as he continued to stutter, but also ask for cup noodles. That was a decent comfort food and maybe it would calm his nerves some. Pushing on her knees, she rose back to her full height as he looked away. She was unsure what to really say, so she bit her lip softly and went to turn away before Freed spoke up, causing her to glance over her shoulder at him. He claimed to have control over his quirk; despite being shown otherwise. He took control of his quirk and images of Freed had made themselves known, bowing apologetically At least he can prove he has enough control over his quirk...It's possible that it's based on his emotions...It doesn't say much in his file which is why we evaluate. Then he spoke once again, causing her eyes to widen and cheeks to redden "I'M GOING TO GET YOUR CUP NOODLES!" she suddenly spouted as she quickly made her way out of the room and slammed the door shut behind her before leaning on it with a sigh "You're joking me, right?" she murmured to herself.

She had been gone for quite a while, but was coming back with cup noodles down the hall. Lucky for her, she ran into Eagle's assistant who was currently showing Armel around. That's right, I looked over his file when he first got transferred here... she thought as Ichika paused and stared down the Brunette, making her smile toward the woman "Hey there, Higa. Didn't think I'd be running into you here." she said as she came up to the pair, giving Armel a nod in greeting.

"I didn't think I'd be running into you holding cup noodles." Ichika quipped back as she looked down at said-noodles. "Shouldn't you be doing an interview just about now?"

With a nervous laugh, Akari replied "Yeah about that...Let's just say the nerves got to him and I'm just bringing him noodles to calm him."

Raising an eyebrow, Ichika glanced at Armel and then back at Akari "Could you take me to the room?"

Without hesitation, she nodded "Yes Ma'am!" Akari then headed back to the meeting room, where she knocked on the door and stepped inside "Mister Cross, I brought your cup noodles, I've also brought someone that you would eventually have to meet if we get you on board with the agency." she moved over to the table and set the cup down before moving next to Armel and Ichika, attempting to try to hide her chest a little more. The shirt wasn't tight...at least not to her...was it really that bad? "This is Higa, and Mirdaun, our newest employee as well."

Ichika bowed her head before examining the man before them. Definitely seemed like he was off his rocker, but as Akari said - It was nerves. "Do not be alarmed, Cross. I just thought I'd stop in to see what was wrong." her mind began to think, process, noticing that the blue-haired male's reactions were very off when it came to Akari getting close "Mirdaun, if it's not too much to ask," she glanced at him "How would you feel about interviewing this man. I may have a feeling about something..." she then glanced at Akari "Was he nervous from the start?" with a nod from her coworker, the brunette came and whispered into her ear, causing the woman to nod "I see.." looking back to Armel, she held out the invitation for certain "It's okay if you would not like to interview him, I understand you've only just started. Just thought you'd be a great candidate due to your background."

Tatsuo half-expected Charlie to poke her head through the curtain and give her two cents on the swimsuit. And after debating with herself whether or not to go through with the purchase, she wished that Charlie did; a second opinion would have proved immensely valuable, here! Nevertheless, it would have also proved a lie to say that making the purchase on her own didn't feel rewarding. In fact, her rookie's surprised exclamation and the sliding of the card seemed to brighten Tatsuo up more than earlier!

And after the leisurely stroll that saw them drop off their winnings, the Miko appeared to be enjoying herself! When drinks were suggested, she immediately agreed. "Sure! Were you looking to get boba tea, or—" Then she noticed the bar they headed towards. She bit her tongue, trying to remember the last time she entered one of those places. But, surely, it'll be different here? Tatsuo swallowed her words.

She followed Charlie's lead into yet more unfamiliar territory. Tatsuo failed to notice the troubled looks on her partner, though, as they peered into the bar. Not even when they went inside did she notice anything amiss. Upon being asked what she wanted, she simply answered, "I'll take water."

Leaning her head on her shoulder, though, someone finally caught her eye. She perked up. "Wait, that's..." Unfortunately for Charlie, Tatsuo missed the intent of staying hidden, rising and directly approaching the familiar man at the counter. "Ichiro! Even here in Okinawa?" Though she said that, Tatsuo couldn't say she was surprised. He's been a drunkard ever since she joined the Eagle Agency; yet, this felt a little different. It wasn't too far long since their last mission... Tatsuo couldn't tell if her expression soured or not at memory, but she quickly returned to usual. With a sigh, she sternly reminded him, "The alcohol won't make things better, it'll only make things worse later on!" The shrine-maiden could have recited all the negative health benefits of drowning in alcohol, but Ichiro wouldn't have cared anyway.

One look at the drunkard's new friend, however, and a much more serene smile appeared on her. She bowed to Kouki politely. "Apologies if he's made himself a bother. Ichiro is typically like this."

Ichiro Kusumoto
The bartender arrived with Ichiro and Kouki's drink, Ichiro finishing his last pina colada just in time. He grabbed his new drink to take a few sips. At this rate, Ichiro was going to be out before the sun even went down. Ichiro was about to open his mouth to speak, but he was interrupted by a voice that he didn't want to hear all day. He looked up to the sight of Tatsuo, his face remaining blank. "I drink at the Agency, at my house and anywhere I possibly can." Ichiro was stating the obvious, anybody who knew him would know that it was more surprising to see him when he wasn't drinking.

Ichiro couldn't hide his laugh, his onlookers probably wondering what he found so amusing, "Worse? The only thing worse than failure is death and I have yet to achieve that yet." He slid a carton of cigarettes out of his pocket, sliding one out for his lips. In one swift movement with his lighter, he lit the cigarette, taking a draw. He looked up and made eye contact with Charlie, probably one of the last people he wanted to see today. He took his drink and chugged the contents, putting down the empty glass. "I'm gonna take a nap on the beach if you need me." Ichiro stood up, ready to leave the conversation but he had one last thing he needed to add, "Kouki, we're having a group dinner later around 6 o'clock at the beach, you're welcome to come." Ichiro turned and left towards the sand. He wasn't interested in interacting with his agency members at the current moment, he was on vacation after all.

It was always busy because it was hard to pass up a dinner near the ocean. Eagle had ensured that enough tables were reserved for them so there wouldn't be any issues in finding a seat.

Ichiro stumbled his way towards the pavilion that was hosting the dinner. He took a final drag from his cigarette, flicking it into the grass. He had an empty bottle of sake in his hand that he finished as he was "napping" on the beach. He managed to find a trash can, dropping the bottle into it. There was a line to get into the pavilion but since they already had a few tables, he just wandered in and found tables that had a tag that said 'Eagle Agency'. I guess this is it. He plopped himself down onto a seat, reaching for a water glass that they already put down at the table. I could be passed out on the beach but I gotta sit through this shit. He took a sip of water to ease his thirst, alcohol always made him thirsty.

After a few moments of glancing around, Ichiro spotted a mini bar that was serving drinks. He stood up from his seat and proceeded over to the mini bar, "Just a rum and coke." He thought he'd take it easy for the time being, he didn't want to collapse at the dinner table despite how entertaining the idea sounded. Once he had his rum and coke in his hand, he made his way back to the table to take his seat. He wasn't really interested in eating any food, though he might grab a bite later. Now, he just waited for the rest of the crew to arrive.

Making eye contact
with Ichiro at the bar only confirmed the feeling of dread she felt dig its way through her. Drunken eyes glossing over what Charlie would only assume weren't very kind thoughts of her.

Were they ever?

Charlie rolled her eyes as Ichiro walked away, and decided to have a few shots of her own. Nothing too strong, just a few lemon drops to kill the unease that seeped into her veins. The only thing worse than failure is death. Subtle. Not like those weren't the words echoing in all of the team's minds for months, or anything.

By the time Charlie was getting ready for dinner, she had long since removed the exchange from her mind, slightly buzzed and honestly.. just trying to enjoy her time here while she can. The rookie couldn't even have that, though. Because as she made her way past the long line for dinner, her bright blue gaze was met with a clearly shitfaced Ichiro, sand clinging to his hair and clothes as if he had fallen asleep in the sand and dragged himself here.

Fuck my life.

Charlie didn't even greet the older hero, and instead picked a seat far from him, grabbing the plate that accompanied it. Through her and Tatsuo's adventures, she only recently discovered that neither of them really had anything to eat. It made the buzz from the shots a little stronger than normal, and her stomach growl as soon as the scent of freshly grilled steak hit her senses.

Yeah, fuck dealing with the drunk.

Her feet carried her over to the ever-growing line for the food, basically grabbing anything her eyes made contact with. By the time she was finished, her plate was heavy in her hands, full of all kinds of food, and a roll to top it off. Not an ounce of regret could be found in her eyes, as they looked around to find the reserved table. Once she found it again, Charlie carefully placed her plate back down in her claimed spot, surprised to see that it was still just her and Ichiro, at the opposite end of the table.

With a shrug, she began eating. Figuring it wouldn't be long until the rest of the agency showed up.

Ichiro took a sip of his rum and coke, his red gaze landing on Charlie as she arrived. He watched her walk away, not even shooting him a glance. Seems like she's not happy to see me. He leaned back in his chair, watching the bubbles in his drink move to the top. His gaze was on Charlie once more when she came back with a plate of food, too much food if you asked him. He brushed some sand that was on his sleeve, quickly realizing why he should have brought a towel to the beach. He watched her eat for a few moments before taking another sip of his drink. "Oink oink." He had a mischievous grin on his face as he was going to mess around with his prey.

"You know, I thought they weren't serious when they said Americans were gluttons, but after seeing you eat, it's like a pig eating from his trough." Ichiro eyes glimmered with amusement, his drunkenness making him more direct than usual. "So why did you come to Japan? Wasn't there enough room in America? I know Japanese food is good, but it's not that good." Ichiro downed his glass of rum and coke, placing the empty glass near his glass of water. Luckily, he still had his flask on him, so he didn't need to get up for another round of alcohol just yet.

After retrieving his flask, he unscrewed the cap to take a sip, his eyes still set on Charlie, "When Eagle asked me if I thought you were a good candidate to let in, I said no and look where we are now, you sitting in front of me. I'm a habitual drunk, an alcoholic if you didn't know and yet I was able to get to work on time before you. I don't know what work ethic you brought over from America, but in Japan, things are a bit different." He took a sip from his flask, getting up from his seat. "I'm going to get another drink, don't try to choke." He made his way back over to the mini bar, grabbing another rum and coke. He was still surprisingly steady on his feet, his heavy drinking habits giving him a bit of resistance to anything in his system.

He plopped himself back down at his seat opposite of Charlie across the table. He took a sip of his second rum and coke, setting it down. "If you're gonna live in Japan, I suggest changing your clothing. You might get mistaken for a hobo." Ichiro leaned back in his seat as he waited for the others arrival. Despite being a drunk, he was always good at being on time.

Going to the mart had been quite an adventure. In fact, Katherine hoped that something like that wouldn't ever arise. There were semi-drunk men within the mart, more or less tourists, who started to harass Shin, bothering him about whether or not she was his girlfriend and how they would like a piece of her. It was clear that the pair didn't know who they were talking to, so she had stepped in to defend Shin and get the guys away by falsely claiming she was his girlfriend. That only dug the pair a bigger hole as she was forced to hug Shin in a more intimate way, but she had no idea how to even do so. Luckily for her, he was able to give direction with this hug and basically get the guys to fuck off. Of course they wanted more but the pair got what they needed and left hurriedly to the hotel. Leaving Kathy confused and Shin in another state.

Hours had passed and she found out about a group dinner for the Agency, which was actually pretty nice. They all could sit at the table and talk a little more to one another, as well as know eachother on another level. I doubt anyone would hear me talking with my soft voice. Especially since we do have quite a group... the Hero thought as she made her way down to get to the dining area. While they had a large selection of food within, she was able to find the Agency table with ease, after all, Ichiro and Charlie were already over there, seemingly having a conversation. Her lavender eyes shifted to the drink Ichiro was drinking and wondered if he had put alcohol in that too... More than likely. With a sigh she went ahead and got some food for herself, but Ichiro as well. Not knowing how much he'd eat, she got him things he could just snack on till he was able to eat a full meal and had made her way to the table.

The sunset was absolutely lovely, and she could stare at it till it disappeared...But she had food to deliver. So approaching Ichiro's side, she placed his plate in front of him "That is something to snack on... You're welcome..." she said softly before moving toward Charlie's side, taking a seat nearby and spotting all the food within her plate. I wonder where she could hide all of that food... I'm sure if I tried to eat like that I'd just gain pounds... either way, she was happy for Charlie that she could eat all that she wanted. Though she was very unaware of the conversation that she had going on with Ichiro. Quietly she began to eat, her gaze moving over toward the sunset. "Hope you both are enjoying your time here... It's only been the first day..." they had all week.

Dinner for Quirks

After their massages, the walk back was a delight. Not only were they fully relaxed, but Tsuki felt taller because of it. As soon as they got back from the hotel the German and him started walking towards the outdoor buffet as Shinobu fled back to the room. The stroll to the restaurant was peaceful and beautiful. The lighting was perfect and the smell of the ocean made the experience much better. “Have you read any good books lately?” Tsuki said to the gun slinging bookworm. “I ask because I’ve been reading a lot of books about optics and manipulation of matter. Just wanted to change things up.”

The restaurant was packed full of people. The black-haired man wondered how they were supposed to find their table. He and his colleague slowly and respectfully pushed themselves throughout the Area looking for the table. A familiar voice started to travel through the air. “...I suggest changing your clothing. You might…" Yes in the voice of everyone’s favorite drunken Mr. Miyagi. Whatever was happening at the table was very tense. Seemed like the two of them were on a terrible date and no one was getting their way. Based on the look Charlie was specifically giving, she was either about to yell at Ichiro or kill him. I would diffuse the situation but that bomb is going to go off might as well stay out of the blast. As the pair got closer to the table they realized that Katherine was there as well. “Hey everyone” Tsuki sent down in between the two “ lovebirds“ hoping to be the best type of wingman. One that does absolutely nothing to help. “Ichiro you aren't drinking from a bottle. Nice to know you are no longer drinking. To celebrate, I got you something back at home.” He said jokingly. He hands the alcoholic a receipt and a small note; telling him about the American alcohol that he got secretly from the store. It was supposed to be a birthday present, but you can’t let a good bottle like that go to waste.

Tsukuyomi got up, grabbed the plate that was in front of him, and began to walk towards the buffet. As he walked around the table he noticed that Charlie was only wearing jean shorts and a tank top. Does she not have anything else to wear. He leans down and speaks loud enough that only Kathy and Charle could hear him. “Charle, not to be rude, but I know a great tailor that would love to design something for American taste. Let me know what you think. I will pay and set everything up for you.” His intent was not to disrespect her fashion choice; more to expand her horizon without her having to break the bank.

“Ow…ow…FUCK!” So, to answer the question postulated by my previous post: No, Nakano hadn’t applied sunscreen before heading down to the beach, a costly mistake that she was now attempting to slide under the rug. Understandably so then, she couldn’t let the rest of the agency see her in such a state, for she pretty much looked like a thoroughly cooked shrimp. It is with this fact in mind that the tiger girl attempted her best to conceal as much of her body as possible, thus was her choice to clad herself with clothes that concealed as much of her skin as possible. Hoodie, jean and some sporty looking shoes, all fashion choices that meshed horribly with her burnt body and the tropical climate. Had she brought gloves to the trip she would’ve probably worn those too. Even her hood was up as a way to conceal as much of her face within shadows. Had it been for her she would’ve chosen to hide within her room for the rest of the night instead of attending the dinner, but that would surely attract the suspicion of the others. Plus, she was hungry, and an all you can eat buffet was hard to pass up.

Finding the agency’s table wasn’t hard at all considering that every single member pretty much stuck out like a sore thumb. It seemed that it was one of those rare times where Nakano had been one of the earliest arrivals, too bad the identity of those present at the time were as much of a pain to deal with as her currently aching skin. Ichiro, Charlie and Tsukuyomi, truly one of the worst possible combinations for a trio composed by the agency members. Katherine, as always, was at least a neutral presence that caused no strong feelings one way or the other within the tiger girl. Some other time she would’ve probably attempted some mischief against them all, but in her current state even the slightest of graces and the slowest of motions were enough to send shockwaves of pain across her entire system, so instead she opted to aim directly for the buffet.

After her food selection was done Nakano was back at the table, carrying an absolute frankenstein of a platter, which consisted of a small mountain of as many meat types as she could find (All cooked, sadly). Greeting the rest never even crossed her mind, this was an incognito mission after all, the less attention she drew to herself the faster this dinner would end. Nakano simply opted to take a seat, endure the pain that such a simple action brought onto her and then finally begin eating her food. Oh, and due to the heat caused by her clothes Nakano had taken absolute ownership of an entire jug of complimentary water that had been left at the table. At the pace she was drinking she'd probably expand her domain towards any and all jugs within her vicinity very soon.

"Honestly, you two are the last people to reprimand others about standards." Tatsuo appeared beside the table, looking less than amused at the current bantering. She'd changed into more comfortable clothing for the time and arrived nearby just as the 'small talk' began. "And you, Ichiro, should focus on your drinking problem before nitpicking how other people eat." Nonchalantly, the shrine-maiden continued over to Charlie's side as her usual, warm smile reappeared.

All while lacking any hint of malice in her tone, she continued. "Apologies for them, Charlie. Perhaps Ichiro is still drunk, and we're both well aware what kinds of morbid things he may do while under influence; and—from what I've heard—Tsukuyomi had a troublesome run-in with 'eccentric' fans a little earlier! So my best guess is that they're still wound up from the past hours." Tatsuo giggled innocently, only relaying what she heard from some girls during a quick stop by the mall. Looking over everybody at the table, Tatsuo gave a polite nod to those she hadn't addressed, being Katherine (who she realized likely lacked any clue of what Tatsuo went on about) and someone in thick layers of clothing, whom the shrine-maiden couldn't get a solid look at before leaving to retrieve her own plate of food.

Upon returning, she took a seat beside the rookie. Compared to everyone else's plates, what Tatsuo took was a rather measly portion of cha soba, but she was content nonetheless. While humming a certain popular song sung by none other than Ed Sheeran, she joined her hands in front of her chest. "Itadakimasu." Her chopsticks dug into her serving.

However, none of it went to her mouth just yet. Tatsuo's eye caught the person in thick dressings, none other than her feline peer, who oh-so curiously chugged cup after cup of water. "Nakano!" Tatsuo rose from her seat, hurrying over with a part-concerned, part-bewildered expression. "You're going to get heatstroke in all those layers!" Without any hesitance, she reached for Nakano's coverings.

Armel | Eagle Agency

Small talk. That was the route Armel chose since he didn't really have any questions to ask as Miss Ichika led him along to their next destination. He'd asked her minor questions. Things like how long she'd been working for the agency, if she herself had any quirks- as it couldn't hurt to ask- and if it did he'd have sidetracked into another topic of discussion. It was the little things that told you a bit about the person. Things they said coupled the way they didn't say it. As they walked, he also had a look around of his surroundings.

It was when they came across another employee of the agency that Armel found out who she was. Akari. The news that Miss Akari was also interviewing someone, piqued his interest. Though it wouldn't be a surprise given the success of this organization the awareness that someone else was also being interviewed today meant there was a chance they'd meet.

Ichika glanced at Armel and then back at Akari "Could you take me to the room?"

Or maybe that'd chance had turned into a guaranteed.

Following the two ladies towards their intended destination, Akari with cup noodles in hand, the person he saw ahead of him was...well, the only thing he could think of upon seeing him was super stressed. The guy looked like he might explode any minute and with the fiery look of his hair it seemed almost likely that may be a possibility. It was always fascinating how Quirks tended to blend or mix in with the natural features.

While he was trying to guess what Mr. Cross' quirk was based off his appearance alone, Miss Ichika provided him an opportunity he hadn't been expecting. "Ah- uh, me?" The surprise in his voice evident. "Well..." he scratched at his cheek, looking over at his potential future teammate. Seeing him and the stressed out state he was in reminded him of his days applying to hero organizations when he was younger. The bad cred he'd sort of gained for being a bit of a jerk in teams and the 'do-it-alone' attitude he'd had back then had made it difficult at times to get into some of the agencies he had wanted. He could recall the disappointment when he hadn't been picked for one of the hero response force organizations he'd been looking to join. In a lot of ways it'd been good he hadn't gone into that line of work right off the bat- odds are he would've gotten himself killed or seriously hurt. So he couldn't help but think of that- with how stressed this guy was, could he actually do his job when it came down to it?

Guess he was the perfect sort for this kind of job.

"Alright, I'll see what I can do. Hopefully my methods won't be a bit too much." He said aloud. Turning to both Akira and Ichika he asked: "Do you guys have a place we could use with a bit more open space?"

And just like that, in a few moments, they were all outside.

"Okay. So Mr. Cross, why don't you show me what you can do. Eagle Agency branches out into a range of things, and if you're trying to get in you want to make sure you get the best fit. As Miss Akari mentioned to me when we were making our way down here, I heard you're a bit fresh off the block. Not a lot of actual work experience in the hero field. Why don't we test that out. Give us a demonstration of your Quirk here, Miss Akari mentioned something about you cloning her or something right?" He glanced at the woman over his shoulder for confirmation, which she did nod. "Why don't you show us what you can do with that Quirk, and in exchange I'll show you what I can do with mine."

As he said that, his eyes began to glow. The pupils brightening as shadows extended from his back and began to consume his clothes, arms, and body.

The massage in the spa was extremely relaxing. Krauss hadn't taken a day off like that or, at least, not with a massage included, and the masseur had to really work for her pay as the man was a pile of tensed nerves: rock hard limbs and muscles, stiffened joints and such. The relief he felt when it was all over was indescribable. After going back to their shared room, the man changed his clothes to something much more formal. He dressed up with a striped dark blue blazer, white shirt, pants with the same color of the blazer, red tie, alongside with black leather shoes.

As he had gotten a message earlier, there was going to have an all-you-can-eat buffet and all the members of Eagle Agency that were in that vacation were going to participate. The Specialist thought it was a good idea to check out who were his possible partners in the upcoming missions. During his leisure walk towards the buffet, he was accompanied by Tsukuyomi. The man directed his gaze to the Marionette when he asked him the question.

“Ah yes, some books about hardware, AIs and auto-targeting components in general. I am tinkering with it to make it more accurate” - and, as he says that, he points to his green-glasses spectacles. Truly tinkering with the equipment was not an easy task but, bit by bit, the Westerner had been modifying his targeting goggles to increase its accuracy - “Mmmm, optics and matter manipulation… can I assume it will directly impact your quirk usage?” - he asked, the hand that was pointing to his glasses a moment ago, now holding his chin, questioningly.

The very weather and atmosphere of the dinning area was pretty much to the man’s taste. The only thing that spoiled it slightly was how packed the place was, but there was nothing that could be done about that. The pair had to push their way until they found the table reserved for the agents. It looked like both Ichiro and Charlie were having some kind of divergences, which the Westerner found, at the very least, bizarre. Not only that, but also the Katherine, Tatsuo and Nakano were also at the table already. The man would keep every bit of distance as he could from the latter, as his pet-hair removal brushes stayed in his bag inside the shared room.

Once again, his attention was directed to the roasting the drunkard was having at the expense of the American girl - “She is a pretty decent driver, I give her that… and knows how to use a medkit” - Krauss basically commented, dryly, cutting into their conversation before grabbing his own plate and walking over the buffet. The man took quite a bit of time, looking over all the options that were available. After much consideration, he decided to go with something more familiar, which he hadn’t had for quite a bit of time: the man grabbed a sizeable portion of sauerkraut and quite a few assortments of different meats, such as sausages, beef and pork, in considerable quantity.

After returning to the table, the man sat down just besides Charlie, putting his plate on the table. Grabbing a napkin from the table, the man set it on top of his shirt, a bit of it going inside the collar, so it would remain secured. Silently, the man started to take the first few bites of his own food.

"Hope you both are enjoying your time here... it's only been a day."
Unfortunately for Katherine, Charlie simply did not have the capacity to try and make small talk. Was she oblivious to the atmosphere of this conversation? Or just.. choosing to ignore it? Either way, the rookie was tired of Ichiro getting away with being such a massive asshole to her.

Her sentiment was only confirmed by the appearance of Tsukuyomi, who decided to not only be jovial with the drunk, but chime in on her attire as well. "How kind. I'll be sure to contact you once I figure out when exactly I asked for your assistance." Her tone was cold and blunt, not in the mood for unsolicited commentary from any more of her coworkers.

So many words. Such condescension coming from too many voices, in Charlie's opinion. None of them stopped her from continuing to eat her food, blue eyes simply glaring at Ichiro's, a mischievous glint clear as day in his mutated pupils. Does he think she actually cares what he thinks of her? Was there a neon sign that asked for anyone's approval? Her thoughts were interrupted by Tatsuo's words of reassurance, another clear tactic to diffuse the situation. Memories of her first meeting couldn't help but creep their way into Charlie's mind as Tatsuo spoke,

"...my best guess is that they're still wound up from the past hours." Wound up? They both looked completely calm to her. This is the behavior the team simply excuses at the expense of others? Charlie's head turn to look over at the Shrine Maiden,

"Why are you apologizing? Did you call me a pig?" Her tone was still icy, however, it wasn't directed at Tatsuo. As she left, Charlie looked back down at her food, taking a deep breath whilst using her napkin to wipe her mouth. She knew she got a lot of food, and she was starting to put a dent in it. What was left was her roll, three or four ribs, rice, and remnants of a small side salad.

Simply because Ichiro commented on it, the American knew she had to finish her plate. Maybe let out a disgustingly loud belch for good measure. Who knows? The night is still young.

When Goggles sat beside her, Charlie couldn't help but be surprised. She wasn't expecting to be accompanied by him, remembering how stiff he was when they first met. She even nearly missed his dry compliment as he passed the table earlier. The rookie knew that they had a similar sentiment when it came to the treatment of villains, and that he was really good with a gun. Otherwise.. that was it. She decided to thank him for the dry compliment later..

Pale hands reached for the glass of water in front of her, taking a few sips before putting it back down and clearing her throat. "It's very cute that I'm so engrained into your memories, Ichiro, but honestly.. I don't have an ounce of respect for you. You're a washed up has-been who takes joy in wallowing in self-pity. Grow up, and try to remember that your opinion of me is absolutely worthless to me. I don't know if this is how you grieve, but I'm tired of all of your coworkers coddling you."

Charlie picked up one of her ribs, taking a bite out of it and chewing, deciding to not let herself forget the whole reason why she was at this badly disguised attempt at team-building. Once she swallowed the food, she spoke up again, this time with a small smirk, "I was avoiding you as a feeble attempt to remain civil, because we both can't stand the sight of each other. But you just can't get enough, huh? Are you mad? Pissed off because some disgusting American encroached on your bubble, where you piss around and act big and bad, until shit actually hits the fan? Well, too bad, old man. You're stuck with me, for now. Go cry about it. Preferably, far away from me." With that, she continued to eat her ribs, feeding into the typical 'American' image Ichiro painted for her.

Kouki Kaneko
"Well, seems like this is going to be one fantastic dinner."

Kouki had walked up to the table, hands already full with a plate of somewhat specific foods; chicken, one or two egg dishes, and a very hefty amount of edamame, which could even be considered a ridiculous amount. In his other hand was a glass full of lemonade topped with a tiny umbrella, a true symbol of a good vacation. And as per usual, a coy, joyous grin was plastered on his face, which he flashed to each member of the assembled group. The goal tonight was to meet the rest of the team, including the ones he had seen earlier but had not had the chance to fully introduce himself to. And luckily, he had some backup to help with that.

Machi stood directly to his left, and Suzume looked over their shoulders. The two teenagers were both holding their own plates of food, Suzume's looking somewhat similar to Kouki's while Machi's had a small amount of fried foods, still sizzling and spitting as if they were fresh from the basket. The three of them had put on 'nicer' clothes, forgoing bathing suits. Kouki had changed into a buttoned-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and a pair of jeans, while the girls had adorned long sundresses, with Suzume also wearing a white jacket. Kouki already flet overdressed, looking at everyone sitting at the table, but he didn't want to get caught unprepared for any sort of cold draft from the sea once the sun lowered itself some more.

Kouki cleared his throat as he placed his food down, declining to sit down just yet. "Hope no one minds me and my kids joining you all for dinner. Ichiro, I know you only invited me, and I appreciate the gesture. But I can't let these two just scavenge for dinner, though it would be pretty funny to see. Ow." He winced as Machi kicked him in the shin. "Right, anyways. We won't take up too much of y'all's night. Just wanna have a bite to eat and have a bit of fun. It's a vacation after all, right? And a buffet, too! There must be some sort of god out there smiling down to let us eat some good damn food tonight with a beautiful view. And of course some great company, I'm sure." Maybe not great company right now, but Kouki wanted to try something to lighten the mood a little bit.

"Ow." Another strike to the shin, and he looked to Machi again, who glared at him. "You forgetting something, Dad?" Kouki looked at her for a moment, then began to count something on his fingers, mumbling to himself. Finally, like a floodlight lighting up in his head, he clapped once, loud. "Right! Ichiro knows, but no one else. Apologies, folks! The name is Kouki Kaneko, member of the Marma-Lad Agency in Kobe, previously working independently in Takayama. And these two punks following me around are my daughters. Ow." After the third kick, Machi bowed to the gathered heroes. "Machi Kaneko." Kouki and Machi then looked back to Suzume, who seemed like she was trying to make herself look as small as possible, despite her tall frame. "...Thuzu-" Her cheeks flushed red as she bit her tongue. "Suzume Kaneko!" The older girl quickly sat down, burying her face in her food.

Kouki chuckled as he placed a hand on his older daughters shoulder and took a seat, with Machi following suit, staring off to the ocean as she blew on her food in an attempt to cool it down. "So, we introduced ourselves, and I've already had the chance to meet Ichiro. Thanks for the drink recommendation by the way, my friend. I can't remember the time I had something so...fruity! It was fantastic, but may have been made a bit too strong for me. So it's time to take it a bit easy. But I'm getting distracted! Back to what I was saying, what can I call you all?" He wore a warm, natural grin, looking between each of the faces that surrounded him.

Throughout the rest of the elevator ride down, Shinobu frequently had to resist the urge to facepalm; everything from Krauss’ complete and utter social inaptitude to the fans turning out to be weird (intrusive) Marionette stans. None of it was beyond the realm of possibility, however, so instead of it being truly aggravating, he found it to be sorta… funny? Is this how you people deal with fans? Interesting…

Finally, they made their way to the spa to get their massages. On the albino’s end, it pretty much consisted of him taking eight years to decide what he wanted, mainly because his conversations with the staff always ended up on some topic other than the service… like how lunch meat was one of the most disgusting things he had the misfortune of looking at the other day, or how time had to have stopped because “he looks the same as he did when he was seventeen”. Needless to say, he was practically best friends with the staff by the end of it.

Shinobu wound up stopping by his room to freshen up and change into yet another outfit, but unfortunately, he got sidetracked sometime during that and wasted a good amount of time sprawled across one of the beds texting those left back at Tokyo. Mainly, this consisted of his family and friends, though there were also the occasional work-related conversations; the director of a photoshoot he was scheduled to be at in the near future ended up warning him that, even though he was on vacation, he was still expected to maintain his current physical appearance. Me? Really…? Jeez, did she send this on accident or something? Oh Tanaka-san, you’re so funny sometimes ~

While he was in the midst of responding to his youngest sister, Momo, he suddenly realized that it was past the time he was supposed to meet up with the others at the buffet. The azure-eyed male finished typing whatever it was he was going to type, before lifting himself off the bed and maneuvering to the elevator for what felt like the 300th time today.

Originally, the plan was to go out and get something, but honestly he had no idea when that plan changed, and as he stood in the elevator heading down, he unconsciously hummed along to the song gently sounding from the speaker. An idle smile played at the corners of his lips as he thought to himself, Beachside buffet with everyone doesn’t sound so bad actually, but…

Based off what little he did know of his co-workers, something was likely to go down anyway. Not that it was something he stressed over―it seemed pretty common and it never went beyond a certain point… well, if anything ever did escalate badly during a vacation moment like this, Shinobu didn’t know how he’d react. Vexation? Disappointment?

Sooner or later, his vision caught glimpse of (mostly) familiar colored blobs in the distance, so in a casual manner, he made his way over and acknowledged them briefly; he waited to exchange words, however, picking up his plate and going over to pile a moderate amount of seafood on it before actually settling down with the others. Luckily, he hadn’t sat right next to Ichiro, as that pungent alcoholic smell he always had would’ve been stronger if he did.

“Ah, I’m a little late, that’s my bad―kiiiinda got caught up with something after I left Krauss and Tsukuyomi. I’m here now though,” he greeted the group, opting to feign ignorance on a few things: the obvious tension between Ichiro and Charlie (were they in the middle of a fight or something?), and whatever form of harassment Tatsuo was trying to inflict on an overdressed Nakano by attempting to take off the tiger-girl’s clothes. Huh. I wonder if they feel all the weird stares we’re probably getting right now.

The more important thing here was, there were three faces he knew he didn’t arrive to the resort with. They seemed intent on staying though, based on the trail end of the words he’d managed to catch as he was approaching earlier. “Hi. There’s a good chance you three said your names before I got here, but I’m Senjougahara Shinobu, or Samsara―nice to meet you ☆” His lips curled up into a sunny grin as he adjusted the sunglasses on the bridge of his nose. “So what’d you all do once we got here, anyway? And hmm… Somebody... err, someone wanna explain what's going on with that? Seriously.” He gestured towards Nakano and Tatsuo, who happened to be near him, with confusion written in his eyes.

Britt-21 Britt-21 [Akari/Higa] The Regal Rper The Regal Rper [Mirdaun]

Peace had returned to the tumultuous present that Freed had found himself trapped in. A hellish situation with no obvious and visible escape route. However, with Akari leaving the room to fetch the noodles, Freed had been given a ray of hope, a 2nd chance and an opportunity to recover some semblance of composure in order to attempt to give off a good impression this time round. Now at least he knew what to prepare for, rather than being ambushed by the risqué physique of his lady interviewer. Honestly, anyone in his position would have been shocked and in awe at the sight before him; it was only natural that he'd find it hard to concentrate given what he was forced to witness. Alas, now he could mentally prepare himself to look everywhere else except at the two glaringly obvious 'danger' area's that would set his emotions into overdrive.

The man breathed a sigh of relief as he heard the door shut; the pitter patter of footsteps as Akari disappeared further into the Eagle Agency's interior; presumably to make good on her apparent eagerness to fetch him some cup noodles; a real sweatheart she was.

Alone in the room, Freed begun to unwind himself as he took a more relaxed position upon the chair; his body losing any sense of tension as he slouched against the hard frame of your everyday typical office chair. A hand would lazily snake into his pocket as he pulled out his phone; 11 miss calls and 20+ messages all from his parent's presumably asking about how the interview went. If only they knew... Freed offered a nervous grin.

Skeletal fingers swiping away from the front screen and onto Pogo, the man would soon find himself immersed in his mobile game; uncaring as the time slowly ticked by; Freed oblivious to what was about to occur once the door opened.

5, 10 maybe even 15 minutes would pass and Freed would find himself deep into the game; barely even glancing towards the door as it opened; the familiar voice of Akari coming through the room amidst the fresh and familiar scent of hot cup noodles. "Thanks" replied Freed, not looking up at Akari as his fingers tapped away furiously on his screen until the phone itself was dropped onto the floor amidst the growing realisation of what exactly Akari had returned with.

'M.. more people...?' thought Freed, his body shaking slightly as any preparation he had done prior to Akari's return was now thrown out the window. He was prepared for her, not for others to join in. Slowly, Freed would glance his head to the side where the door was, eyes finding 4 more towering legs next to the familiar tights of Akari. "H.. h.. hi... wh.. whats go.. ing on..?" muttered Freed, already assuming that he was now waist deep in the shit hole. Had his earlier actions caused the Eagle Agency to send other members to deal with him? The muscle to deal with problems? Freed naturally began to withraw into himself as he felt his world begin to shrink. Mind drowning in negative assumptions which all concluded with the same ending. He fucked up. He didn't meant to harass Akari... it just happened... there was no need for them to deal with him this way. If they needed him to leave, he'd leave.

That was until he actually began to process what Higa was saying. Almost immediately Freed's hair would flare up as the pale man glanced towards the trio; face reddening as he noticed Higa's appearance for the first time before growing pale once more as beads of sweat formed upon seeing how intimidating Mirdaun appeared to be. If his emotions got the better of him, he doubted he'd get off scot free like he had done so earlier.

"He.. he's gonna do the interview?" questioned Freed, glancing between the three of them before getting confirmation to his answer.

Soon enough they'd be heading towards another area of the agency, Freed following laziliy behind as he held the cup noodles firmly, right hand holding the chopsticks like a master as he noisily slurped up the curry flavoured delicacy; finishing up as they exited the building into the scorching wilderness of the outdoors. Why couldn't this interview remain indoors? he thought to himself, raising an arm to block out the invading sunlight that threated to roast his pale skin.

Little care was given for his immediate problems as the man known as Mirdaun went straight into business; mentioning what he already knew about Freed's quirk. "Isn't that enough?" lamented Freed, glancing around the open space they found themselves in. It was almost as if they were in an arena and the pair of them were about to duke it out on the field. Had this been a game, Freed wouldn't have been lacking in the confidence department... unfortunately this was the real world and Freed found himself second guessing any thoughts that decided to make an appearance into his head.

It didn't help that Mirdaun's already intimidating appearance was further enhanced by the activation of his quirk, glowing eyes amidst the enveloping shadow that covered his entirety. How was Freed going to fight against something like that? He wasn't a fighter by any means.

That however didn't mean he was a quitter. This was probably his last chance to show the agency why they should hire him as well as his last chance to earn enough money to buy the upcoming game expansion pack he had had his eyes on for months.

Gritting his teeth, Freed raised both hands forward; his hair dissipating into a swarm of small wisp's that circled his body in an orbital manner. Eyes focused on Mirdaun, the wisp would soon fly towards the shadowy figure of his interviewer; the blue orbs whizzing by at speed as they began to encircle Mirdaun; the faint chorus of voices just about audible as they began to 'take-in' the appearance information of the man. A single larger wisp would stay close to Freed as he processed the information being relayed back to him by the swarm circling Mirdaun until gradually the larger wisp would begin to create the illusion of Mirdaun standing next to Freed. The process took much longer then it had done with Akari and that was down to one simple fact. Freed wasn't as experienced at recreating the illusions of men.

"As.. you can see..." began Freed, standing behind the illusion of Mirduan. "M.. my wisp.. can gather.. and relay information to me... which.. " he paused, a shiver going up his spine as his wisp naturally began to lower the air temperature around them. ".. which I can.. use... to create accurate.illusions with..." Freed snapped his finger and the Wisp began to take on the form of Akari, before snapping again to take on the form of Higa and finally a clap which gathered all the wisp together into one much larger ball of blue flame. "I.. I can also create something like this..as long as accuracy is not important" began Freed as the giant Wisp began to take on the form of a 2 storey tall Kaiju looking creature from one of Freed's games. While it was much larger in the game, Freed didn't need the exact proportions to make it look terrifying.

"T.. they are only illusions though..."

Ichiro put the glass back up to his face to take another sip, shifting his eyes to Tatsuo for a brief moment. "Maybe I'll just pray, that'll surely fix it." Ichiro said, putting down the glass as Kathy placed a plate down in front of him, "It's not more liquor but I guess it'll have to suffice." He said, picking at the food that was in front of him. Being here really made him miss his bed at home. I could be eating a bowl of cocoa cocoa puffs right now and yet I'm here. Ichiro finished his second glass of rum and coke, staring off into the distance.

Wait, did I lock the front door? Just as Charlie started her lecture of Ichiro, he was lost in thought about the door, not hearing a word she said. I had to have locked it... I think. I could always call my neighbor, I did give her a spare key in case I needed her to check on something. All he could think about right now was that damn door, It's not like I have any valuables except my T.V. I think I'll be fine. Ichiro finally came to his senses when he heard the last part of Charlie's monologue, "Go cry about it. Preferably, far away from me." Ichiro looked up and looked around, his gaze eventually landing on Charlie, "Huh? Did you say something?" Ichiro's response may have seemed like a joke, but he was serious. He didn't hear a word she said.

Ichiro didn't care to press further because Kouki arrived with his two kids, "Looking snazzy, at least one of us knows how to properly dress." Ichiro's gaze shifted to his children, forming a smile on his face, "They look a lot like you, hopefully they don't grow up to be a light weight like you." Ichiro said in a joking manner. He always made sure to be more jovial around children. "I'm going for another drink, need some apple juice?" Ichiro joked, getting up from his seat walking towards the mini bar again. As he walked past Charlie, he looked at her plate."Make sure not to waste any food, there are Americans starving." He said, walking away with a cackle. He was having too much fun right now. Once at the mini bar, he decided to change things up, "I'll have a rum and coke, but no coke." He said with a small smile, the bartender shaking his head at his stupidity. Once he had his new glass, instead of walking back to the table, he decided to go for a smoke.

He found himself a nice spot from all the ruckus, near a railing that looked out to the beach. Ichiro took a sip of his straight rum, taking a drag from his now lit cigarette. This whole vacation was completely pointless to him. He'd rather be smashing the face of a villain in right now then be with his "family", that's what Eagle said at least. He wasn't fond of many people in the agency, hell, he wasn't fond of himself. This whole trip was a mistake, he should have just faked being sick. "It can't get worse than this." He swirled his drink around, his mood changing back to what it usually was. The thing people don't realize about heroes is that they need help sometimes too and Ichiro was in need of a lot of it.
