"May 17, 1989 was seemingly a normal day for the newscasters at WVWT 32, a local station in Huntington, West Virginia. The crew there were settling down, and preparing to read the lunchtime news. They did not know that, hundreds of miles away, over a hundred Soviet ICBMs, launched by a terrorist organisation, were about to be intercepted on America soil. When news finally came in, it was too late for evacuation. The casters, knowing of their eventual death, knew there was nothing left to do but report on the impending doom. The broadcast also famously ended with the "Nuclear Tape", a VHS detailing the world given to most TV stations, to be played in the situation of nuclear war, for the preservation of society for future generations.This tape would be the basis of the rebuilding of America, and we must pay our respects to these brave newscasters, who gave their lives to preserve our future!"
