Windjammer
The local Devil Ship
Many have spoken of predictions of end of society as it currently known, and the latest prediction was no different. An individual that no one believed came onto the News and said that the world will change forever, the humanity is putting itself in danger with its exploitation of the earth. The man summed up his statement with a single ominous quote.
"The wind will rule the day once more."
No one could have known for sure at the time, but that prediction came true. The oil is gone. All of it. Turned to plastic or burned in engines and pumped into the atmosphere as polluting vapors, leaving humanity with a poisoned earth and shattered economies. By far one of the hardest hit industries is shipping. Rail and air transport has come to a complete stop, and only nuclear vessels still travel the seas. This has resulted in widespread outbreaks of war, famine, and disease. However, one shipyard owner by the name of Victor Petrillo came up with a potential solution.
Windjammers.
Victor had the idea that windjammers would be the solution to the shipping problem for multiple reasons, they're fast, they're clean, they can be built to different sizes, and best of all, wind power is free. With this in mind, Victor and his workers commenced construction on a whole small fleet of modern windjammers. Most of these ships are being used as freighters, but some of the newer vessels are being used as rescue and hospital ships. One such ship is named the Panthalassan. The Panthalassan is the largest ship in the windjammer fleet, and is 3 years old. The ship serves as a hospital and rescue ship for refugees of war, and takes them to better lives,and is captained by Victor's oldest son, Valentine.

This RP follows the lives of those who currently work or are refugees aboard the Panthalassan. When it gets enough interest, ill post a CS. Ill be portraying Valentine.
