- a shy snowfall -
if Mela knew of Shota's reasoning for his scarf, she would have laughed, figuring he had a whole different motive in mind and it didn't really have much to do with protecting her. "Yeah right, I'm wearing less than you." She smirked at his comment. She had a bag in hand filled with a blanket, some food and over her back, she had her arrows tucked away in a leather cylindrical bag. She picked up the wooden bow she rested against the side of the build. "We're going shooting!" She said. As if he couldn't guess it by now, Well mostly she'd be doing the shooting. Shota was mainly there to be a target and also be amazed.
"We're going to the woods outside of town. If we go to a range...well they frown upon shooting at people. For whatever reason..." She grumbled. How could she be a hero if she couldn't practice on a moving breathing target? Heheh. An evil glint appeared in both eyes as she hooked her arm around his before he could get second thoughts. "Don't worry, I am a total professional and I'd be happy to teach you!" Mela laughed as she pulled him along. "I even packed us a nice dinner." She added. She wasn't sure if Shota had done archery before but she was eager to share with him her passions.
She had to laugh at how murder-y this date sounded but her attentions were pretty pure. Mostly. Mela was going to have a lot of fun. "Don't worry about the setting sun, I have done this plenty of times before!" She had some glow in the dark pigment she put on the arrows and targets to make them visible come nightfall. Mela thought back to how her students loved night archery. Of course with Hideo's healing quirk, any injuries were mended but Shota didn't need to know about that anecdote. Once in his car, Mela rested a hand on Aizawa''s leg, looking far too pleased with her schemes. "Besides, we'll be all alone outside...in the daaark~"
Shota had nothing to worry about. Though part of Mela was worried he might find archery to be a bit boring. But doing it in the dark had to be fun for him surely. She leaned over and kissed his ear, "And you should feel free to address me as Uede-sensei." She nipped at his ear. Surely that could make things all the more exciting. The ride was only about twenty minutes. Mela got out and grabbed her things, leading him a ways into the woods. The sun hadn't yet fully set so they had enough light to set up. Mela pulled out a few small electrical lantruns and set them around the blanket she laid out on the grass under a few large trees. She set her bag down and opened her case of arrows and began to dip the tips of them in a jar of liquid. "Coating these will allow them to glow in the dark." She explained.
Standing up, she picked up four apples and juggled them, trying not to think about how Hideo said she'd be a perfect fit for a circus. Pfft. "Okay so go stand over there." Mela pointed to a tree. Walking over with him, she placed an apple on his head and then one in each of his hands. This was her favorite thing to do to new victims, er lovers, er students. She tossed the last apple up in the air, balancing it on her finger, grinning to Shota. "I know you like to taunt me so for now you'll have to shut up." She teased, pushing said apple into his mouth, making him bite on it. Perfect. "Feel free to move, I do enjoy a challenge." She winked. See? She could be a sadistic instructor just like him! Mela leaned in and kissed along his jawline before she took a small bite out of the apple lodged in his jaw. She then began to walk off, quite a ways away, bow in hand.

Smiling at the light kiss, he only found himself wanting more. Ruka looked quite nice and very well put together. Though no matter what Ruka dressed in, he was sure his mother would love her. "Thank you. I'm sure she will." He took them from her before he used his other arm to bring her in close, kissing her on the lips gently. "It won't be a long visit." He said, hoping to reassure her some. He walked down with her to the street and got back in the cab as they settled in for the ride over to the facility his mother lived in. "My mother, Rei, and I have been reconnecting these past few years. Our father was rather...abusive toward her."
He wasn't sure if he mentioned how he had gotten his scar. "My mother snapped one day and poured boiling water on my head out of fear...I believe she began to see me the way she saw him. I don't blame her. Up until that point, our relationship had been the best I had ever had. She was a great mother." He said quietly, holding onto Ruka's hand, his thumb brushing against the top while he held onto the flowers Ruka had got. Of course he'd want Ruka to present them to his mother. They were a nice gift. "I try to visit her once a week. She listens to my stories though hearing you pop in them so frequently, she's asked about you."
"In fact I can say that whenever I bring you up, her eyes light up the same way mine do." He kissed her temple lightly. His mother would enjoy Ruka, without a doubt. "I have only told her a few things, because I didn't wish to say anything you didn't want me to. I told her we've started dating, that you're very smart, you love strawberries and you make me unbelievably happy." Shoto and Ruka soon arrived at the institution and he let her out after paying as they walked up to the front desk to check in. "My mother resides here because she feels safe." He said gently, not wanting Ruka to worry.
The pair headed up to the second floor and Shoto knocked before sliding the door back to reveal a woman with white hair and soft facial features. She sat up from her desk that overlooked the view outside her window and smiled at her son, spotting pink hair behind him. "Shoto-kun." Rei bowed as he stepped aside. "Mother, this is Kurotsuki Ruka, my girlfriend." Shoto said. "Ruka-chan, this is my mother, Todoroki Rei." He said. Rei bowed again, "I hope I'm not too forward in saying this but ever since you entered my son's life, he's become a whole new person, so much more happy and relaxed. Thank you for your support, Ruka-chan." Rei smiled wide, so glad to see her son wouldn't become anything like her husband. "You two make such a cute couple!" She motioned for them to come and sit down.
"I don't want to keep you two from your little date but I've been very curious in meeting you face to face. Shoto says nothing but the kindest of things." "M-mother." Shoto blushed, taking hold of Ruka's hand as they sat on the bed while Rei sat at the desk. "I hardly see him this flushed. He must really care for you." Rei said sweetly. "So Ruka-chan, how did the food festival go today? Shoto-kun was rather nervous about it but he would never admit it." Rei teased. "I wish I could have attended but large crowds make me a bit nervous. I'd love to try and attend the sports festival though." But it was likely Enji would be attending and that only added to her nerves. "I must say, your hair is very beautiful, it compliments your face very well."
