María del Rosario
María smiled awkwardly. “Well, I was wondering about what you are! You’re not human, clearly, but I have no knowledge on any species like you.” Oh God, thought María immediately after saying that, that sounded really rude. Worried about turning away the girl she was talking to, she immediately said “I-I didn’t mean it like that. My apologies.”

Litten.600.2010349 - cropped small.jpg Ash watched with the rest of her village as the new arrivals filed in through the front gate. So it was true, humans had come to Henshu. Such a thing hadn't happened in centuries, since a time way before she was born. She'd heard stories of course, but never did she believe she'd actually get to see one. It was...kind of disappointing, really. There didn't seem to be anything special about them at all. They looked just like Gijinka, minus any kind of Pokemon-like traits. So why was everyone getting so excited?

Dismissing the humans for the moment, she looked around at the faces of her fellow villagers, particularly the ones accompanying the little band of newcomers. They all seemed really enthused about the prospect of bringing these strangers into their village. Except for Drystan. He looked just as cranky as ever.

She decided to follow the crowd to the main lodge, where Anaika and Suvinay were waiting to greet everyone - she had politely declined the offer to join them. Everyone was then led inside to the throne room, where Anaika delivered her grand speech, welcoming everyone to the island. After she had finished laying out the rules and dismissed everyone, the crowd began to dissipate. Ash quickly ducked out the door before anyone could see her and headed back out to the village. She had a large book tucked under her arm, and now that the excitement of the human's arrival was beginning to subside a little, she considered going off to hide so she could continue reading it.

Mallory
To say Mallory was taken aback was an understatement. Practically jumping out of her skin she fell to the ground in a cushioned plop. One bouquet over her chest in an attempt to lower her aggressive heartbeat and the other holding her up from flopping backwards. Her wide eyes darted between the pokemon and the odd sphere it had emerged from in a blinding light. She wasn't sure which to be more alarmed about, but either way her mind had completely shattered and was trying to rebuild it piece by piece to comprehend what she had just witnessed. Finally her gaze settled on the human, their duo-chrome eyes each observing the other in a state of total, blatant confusion.

"W-what-" She pointed to the pokeball. "Is that?" Never before had she seen something so odd and out of this world. She knew the humans were different, but she thought that was in appearance alone. Now she understood a little more why the Alphas were so intent on them arriving. Their way of life was something they could hardly even fathom about or dream of. Previously she had naively assumed the humans were here to learn from them, but now she wasn't so sure who was really doing the learning.

Ellis Clark
Ellis quizzically stared between the inside banter of the two women. He wasn't sure whether this certain 'Mr. Red' was named so because he was in fact, red, or because that was the exact shade Taima turned when he was brought up. Either way he felt a bit more comfortable in this new gijinka's company. If Annie trusted her then he had less of a reason to be wary and seeing how timid she was made him feel a bit better as well. He wasn't so alone in that front he guessed.

"Yes of course. Just lead the way." Walking with the two he caught quite a few stares from passing gijinka. The anxiety that he had been pushing back came rising to the surface taking him in an ensaring grip in his chest and refusing to let go. He could feel his breathing getting more manual as he tried to steady himself. Looking down he locked eyes with Annie who was staring back adoringly. He managed a forced half-smile to show he was alright to the small Pokemon. Beaming she turned to Taima and pointed again. She definitely wanted to her to carry her for the time being. Since he now understood why that was the case he looked at Taima.

"Excuse me." Ellis said softly. "Annie wants you to carry her if that's alright with you?" By the look on her face he got the impression even if she was okay accompanying them she wasn't too ready to actually approach him and he was fine with that. Placing Annie gently on the floor for to waddle over to Taima if she was willing to carry he he turned to face May.

"If you're worried I won't be able to help as much as a gijinka can I'm sure some of my pokemon would be willing to help me if that works for you?"

KiKi Kitsune KiKi Kitsune

Drystan
He'd been walking in the forest for quite some time now. The familiar cold damp smell, and thick vegetation wasn't enough to calm Drystan of his nerves. While in the back of his mind he knew the scouts had done everything they could and he had not seen anybody while escorting the humans himself he just couldn't shake the odd feeling they were being watched. Whether it was paranoia or natural instincts he wasn't able to recognize the difference anymore. That Kiba tribe were too hasty and would start a war if they breathed wrong so if they knew there were humans he didn't even want to fathom what would occur. It was enough for someone with as thick a skin as him to almost send a shiver down his spine. Almost.

A few minutes more of walking and he heard something. Feint and almost undetectable if you weren't paying attention, but he definitely heard it. His gaze shot up towards the source of the noise. Narrowing his gaze he tried to square in on any little movement. At times like this he wished he were a dark pokemon or at least had any type of night vision. Walking closer to the sound he laid a hand on his sword just in case something were to happen. He didn't call out, not wanting his own cover to be blown. He steadied his breathing, crouching low, blending with the reddened dirt around him. A part of him was hoping it was just a pokemon or one of those tribeless gijinka. It would makes things so much more simpler. That was not the case.

It was only a glimpse, but he swear he saw it. A gijinka hiding. If it was a tribeless gijinka they wouldn't hide from him. Not make eye contact and pretend they didn't see him, sure that's a given. Hide? No. Cursing himself internally he quickly rushed through all the ways this could go down. Deciding on the best decision through reasoning he carried on moving... along the path he had been drudging on for quite some time and passed the area the gijinkas were hidden. He didn't want to start a fight now, with the humans here a fight this early would cause alarm and if the scouts didn't return Kiba knew something would be up. So despite it being his least favourite option and gritting his teeth into powder he made his way back on his monitoring around the wall and as soon as he reached the entrance he'd go back inside.Having finished what he set out to do.

Eliora:
It was a wonderful day. The cold, breeze and the warm sun made working outside her hut truly a wonderful blessing. She felt the rays seep into her skin and she breathed in the refreshing scents of the freshly picked grass she had been plucking. There was a theory she had going that the bulbs of this specific grass she had been cultivating for quite some time could heal scarring and she was very ready to test this on her very grumpy guinea pig.

In the corner of her eye she caught movement and looking up she noticed the small litten gijinka carrying a book a bit far too big for her stature. It was a very amusing sight to say the least.

"Ash." Eliora called out the young gijinka to come see her. Waiting for her to get closer she used her telekinesis to see the book she was carrying. A soft pink glow enveloped the book as it gently floated over to her and she flicked through the pages, still idly picking at grass.

"A good read. This is the 3rd book in the instalment though and I've trust you've read those?" She asked allowing the book to float gently back into Ash's hands. "Once you need the next book let me know."

Wiping the dirt off her hands she placed them neatly on her legs and looked up to the child.

"Albeit a fantastic book this is definitely not one of the days to be buried in it. Aren't you even remotely curious about the humans? They're a fascinating bunch or so I've heard."

Nox Aeternae Nox Aeternae

Adeliht:
The day had started as any other. The other gijinka seemed to be more on edge and while he didn't bother asking why, he heard through eavesdropping on other people's conversations that Azoth was the reason. However, he found it very idiotic that Azoth was yet again the cause for such anxiety because there was no reason. Simple as that. It was the most dumbfounding thing and honestly if gijinka spent more time worrying about themselves rather than what a small village was doing trapped inside their own walls then maybe they'd all be a little less stressed and a little less noisy.

As much as Kiba had been a better home than his last and provided a much greater sense of protection the darkness of the caves still bothered him immensely and he never felt completely safe inside the cavern walls. So was his routine he decided to once again make a trip to the forest. The forest had far more advantages after all; less gijinka and more sunlight. Both of which he required to stay relatively sane.

Leaving the cave wasn't a problem. Whether gijinka didn't notice him or had seen him around long enough to know how often he leaves he wasn't bothered or stopped while on his way. Soon enough he found himself in the open area with nothing, but flat land and a quiet forest as far as the eye could see. While this didn't sweeten his mood it did leave him in a state of content and with a slow walk he made his way to the woods.

Sayori Hatake

"Oh I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to startle you!" Sayori was immediately over the gijinka springing from where she was, to help her up, and steady her.

"where i come from that's normal,I didn't stop to think that maybe it might've been scary." She explained, making sure she didn't hurt the person who just got her all healed up.

The Sylveon came over to her as well. "Are you alright miss?" She asked, concerned.

Mallory:
Clutching her head she gratefully allowed the human to help her back to her feet. She felt a bit embarrassed by how she had reacted and felt more than a little shame for putting the human through any extra stress. She looked down and smiled weakly at the Sylveon.

"I'm alright thank you, dear. What is your name again? I believe Sayori mentioned it earlier, but I didn't quite catch it." She asked the pokemon politely.

Repeating the name to herself she nodded now absolutely sure she wouldn't forget. She turned her attention back to the human who was still staring up at Mallory with an odd ecpression on her face. She placed her bouquet on her shoulder in hopes of relaxing the younger human. After the pokemon arriving in such a sudden burst she had garnered a new respect for these creatures who previously she assumed lived a similar life to them. Clearly this was an ignorant assumption on her part.

"What pray-tell does the sphere do? It doesn't hurt Yldiena does it? And what other fascinating things have you brought along?" She asked forgetting herself in her own curiosity. She had definitely thought she had seen it all.

Sayori Hatake

"Yldiena, it's nice to meet you, what's your name?" She asked, her smile was bright as she looked up at the strange... gijinka if she remembered correctly. She then tilted her head, realising what had just happened "Wait.. you can understand me?"

"Good... i wouldn't want to hurt the person who just healed me all up." She said, gently exhaling in relief. "Wait... were you just speaking to Yldiena?" She asked, partially in shock, partially in awe. Could these people understand pokemon? She pulled some hair behind her ear, wondering just how much these people could do. "

Mallory:
"Ah yes forgive me, my name is Mallory and yes of course I can understand you." Her brows knitted in confusion looking between Sayori and Yldiena. Something wasn't adding up.

"Of course I can understand her. Can you... not?" She asked, tilting her head in confusion. I mean it did make a bit of sense. Gijinka's did have pokemon abilities so she supposed somewhere down the line it would be normal for them to understand each other. She didn't realize this wasn't the case for humans. She found that that simple reason made the friendship between these two different species more beautiful. She smiled.

"So you're so close despite the fact you can't understand each other? That's wonderful." She said looking at Sayori in awe. "I suppose humans are a lot more compassionate than we may have realized."

"If you'd like-" She offered. "You can ask her some questions and I can answer them for you? I hope the sphere doesn't take her anytime soon. Yldiena that sphere isn't uncomfortable is it?"

Litten.600.2010349 - cropped small.jpg The ten-year-old was just about to go find a nice, quiet spot to read when she heard someone call her name. Her ears swiveled towards the sound, and she turned to see Eliora beckoning her over. Changing directions, she headed over to see what the older gijinka wanted. As she drew near she felt her book being gently tugged out of her arms and let go of it. It floated over to the Espeon who gave it a quick skim through.

"A good read. This is the 3rd book in the installment though and I trust you've read those? Once you need the next book let me know," she said. Ash nodded. At the mention of the humans, she blinked, then looked away disinterestedly.

"They just don't seem all that special," she admitted. "When the elders talked about them I assumed they would be these fantastic creatures with abilities the likes of which I've never seen...but these humans just seem like ordinary gijinka without Pokemon characteristics. They may dress a little funny, but besides that, I really don't see what all the fuss is about." Turning her gaze back to Eliora, she tilted her head. "Why haven't you gone to see them yet?"

Lucas Hayes
After Lucas showed off his badge case, it seemed Lexi had one as well. When she showed off hers, it seemed she had a decent amount as well. Some were from different regions though, as he could identify that one of them was a badge from Hoenn and another from Unova. It almost seemed as if she was the type of person that liked to explore. He liked to explore as well, but judging from the badges Lexi had, she tended to do more exploring than he did. Overall, he did look quite interested in her badge collection as well. “Well hey, you have been to more places than I have, so that’s got to count for something, right?”

It didn’t take long before the Furret gijinka returned with food for the pokemon. She was balancing many bowls in her arms, which Lucas found rather impressive. That wasn’t all he found impressive though, as the food that she had prepared all looked fresh; it was probably close to what their pokemon would be eating if they were in the wild. After calling Lucas’s and Lexi’s pokemon, all of them dug in. Lucas’s Rotom looked at the food a bit curiously at first before deciding to eat as well. "Yeah, if there's anything you need help with, feel free to ask!" While she did say that she was happy to help out their pokemon in any way she can, Lucas would feel pretty bad if they kept coming here to get food for their pokemon and gave nothing in return. At the very least, he should offer to do something for her in return. That's when she brought up something about taking them gathering.

“Gathering?” Lucas asked curiously, his interest now piqued. Firstly, he was curious as to what they’d be gathering. It was probably food and/or related, but still. Second, this is the second time someone brought up not going beyond the walls of the Azoth territory. While he certainly wasn’t going to go out until he got permission from the alphas, Lucas was starting to get curious as to what exactly lied beyond those walls.

Noah
Noah quietly waited in the brush for whatever was heading toward them to reveal itself. Upon waiting for a moment, the sounds of footsteps grew closer and closer to their location, and soon revealed what was making the noise. It seemed it was none other than a familiar Scizor gijinka that Noah saw with the humans earlier. Not only that, but this gijinka was one that he recognized as the general of Azoth himself. This was a pretty bad situation, so depending on whether or not he would find him and Nickel, things could get ugly very fast. Now, him and Nickel did make a deadly team, but seeing as he wasn’t looking to pick a fight today and seeing that this was the general of Azoth standing nearby, he had no intention to risk being found out and potentially end up in a very dangerous situation for both him and Nickel. It seemed that the man was looking very thoroughly through his path too, which gave Noah even more reason to not make a sound as the red-haired gijinka walked throughout the forest.

Thankfully, neither him nor Nickel were spotted, and the general went off on his way. Noah felt relieved, knowing that they were safe and didn’t have to get their hands dirty, at least for now. After the scizor left, he checked one last time to make sure no one else was there. Thankfully, there was no one, and the footsteps became quieter and quieter until he couldn't hear them anymore. Once he was sure it was safe, he quietly got up from the brush and signaled to Nickel, who was behind a different patch of brush across from his, that it was time to get back towards moving to Kiba territory again, and resumed his trek toward their home turf.

Pocket Pocket Jayus Jayus

Polina
It was then revealed that in specific, Maria was curious about the gijinka themselves. It made a lot of sense, since all of the humans here have probably never seen a gijinka before. It felt weird being referred to as a "species", but there really wasn't a better way to word that, so Polly didn't judge Maria for the way she phrased that. Besides, even if it was weirdly worded, she didn't mean for it to sound rude, so as long as there wasn't any harm meant in her words, everything was fine. “Oh no, don’t worry about it, you weren’t being rude!” She exclaimed whilst shaking her head, “Anyway, we are what you would call gijinka. In a way, we are kind of like you humans, but with more pokemon like features. The features themselves tend to vary a bit, like May, the Meinshao gijinka who lead you all here, doesn't have many obvious pokemon features on the outside, so she looks a bit more like a human than the others. However, some may have more noticeable traits, like wings, fangs, a tail, fire, or other things like that."

Eliora:
A minute smile spilled across her lips and then faded into her resting neutral expression. She always found the young child amusing. Her bluntness was refreshing and something she appreciated.

"Haven't the time." She said with a nonchalant shrug. Which was the honest truth. Even if she desperately wished to interact with them she had to keep the hut in order and well-running. Sure some other gijinkas could perhaps delay a few minutes from their day, but injuries are always bound to happen.

"That's not a good way to look at them either." She continued. "If you judge them for what they're not you'll never realize them for what they are. And that's quite a pity. Why who knows how they live and their own ways they could perhaps be even more special than you and I. We could learn a lot from them and hopefully I will at the banquet later." It was a surprise even for herself she would be sparing some time to attend the banquet. She was more than ready to stay behind and have Mallory go for the both of them, but that's not what had turned out. Mallory was not a crowd person. Whilst Eliora initially had insisted on the younger gijinka to take a break and enjoy her time, Mallory in turn insisted that Eliora should go in their stead. It was very rare Mallory insisted on anything.

"Will you be attending?" Eliora asked. If Eliora knew the Alphas at all she knew Anaika would insist on Ash coming along with them. In fact she would've thought Anaika would have already gone to find Ash and insist she show the younger humans around. They both must be really busy with preparations.

Nox Aeternae Nox Aeternae

"I got fire wood" she says proudly. "so why are you not part of a tribe? isn't it lonely?" the little one would have been so scared if she didn't have Kiba. she'd probably not be here without them protecting her from danger. Cyndi was so grateful to everyone in the village who help her, and she was grateful that they gave her a job that helps everyone. Cyndi didn't understand why we didn't like the other tribe either, she thought maybe they must be evil or something because she didn't really understand the feud.

Nickel
Nickel couldn't see, but he could hear. Well, he also didn't hear. The fact Noah stopped him meant that someone was close. The fact Noah hadn't almost immediately given him the all clear meant the person was moving closer. The fact Nickel wasn't hearing that person approach meant that that person was being intentionally stealthy. Well, it also meant it could be Ghost-type phasing through everything or something, but that was never a safe assumption.

Now, why would a patrolman, who had likely spent the last several weeks going across the same area, deep within his own territory, be moving slowly and quietly? It was true that they'd know to not announce their presence by stepping on every stick, but there would be concessions. Small noises, brushing against leaves or the shifting of their equipment. The ambience of the forest would help cover for those. The most logical assumption was that that person detected something. So what, exactly, did that person detect? Internally, Nickel was became anxious. Both definitions.

Then, the individual just continued on normally, and maybe it was just his imagination, but he could swear he could hear some of the concessions being made. Quieter than average, but... that was what he was hearing, right? Wait, had he heard that before and just not noticed? Had they assumed they had merely detected a wild Pokemon? Had there been an actual wild Pokemon that attracted them nearby? Had they just given up? Had they spotted his jaw and decided it wasn't worth it? Was there really a point in asking? Best case, they weren't being attacked. Worst case, they still weren't being attacked. So it was time to go.

...

"So...," Nickel began whispering, after they had walked a bit in silence, "foreigners... humans...,"
He wasn't too worried about being heard. He trusted Noah would hear anything before anything could hear him. Only reason he was talking quietly is because he didn't want to distract Noah too much, and knew he could actually hear him when he whispered. "Ya, I can't think of anything else they could be that would explain everything...."

"...,"

His mind wandered to what his tribe would do next, and what the other tribe was possibly planning. As he thought, he felt several emotions, which made him feel confused, and the lack of good answers made him frustrated. Azoth would manipulate the humans, Kiba would declare war, that was inevitable. The details of their next actions seemed irrelevant, and there was a massive issue Nickel couldn't figure out. "How do we avoid fighting both at once?"

Litten.600.2010349 - cropped small.jpg Ash considered Eliora's words, her tail flicking thoughtfully.

"I suppose you're right," she said after a few moments. "There could be aspects of them that I didn't see upon first observation. I'll try to be more considerate of that in the future." The child paused. Speaking of the banquet, she probably should go see if Anaika, Suvinay, or May needed help with anything. They had been quite busy over the last few days, setting things up for the humans' visit. They must be feeling quite drained by now. Before she left though, she decided to see if Eliora needed anything. "Is there anything I can assist with, Eliora? Since I'm already here."

Fiero grinned. "Firewood eh? Did ya make sure ya got enough? Firewood is pretty important after all, no wonder they gave the responsibility to you!" It was always good to give motivation to the children so that they would do their duties well. Even if it would seem that Cyndi had only collected a few compared to the others who were carrying large pieces of lumber. Still, he should give praise where praise is due. "So, do ya still need to get anything?" Might as well help out the kid if she needed it. He could always visit Diana later.

"Well, it's because I like to travel! If I was part of a tribe, I won't be able to visit all the areas of Henshu." Fiero tried to explain his reasoning in the simplest way possible. It wasn't the first time someone had asked him this since he had friends all over, but he rarely got the question from a kid. At least adults understood - albeit not a popular opinion by a long shot. "Hm, nah. It doesn't get lonely for me because I get to visit you guys! And the Azoth tribe too!" He claimed cheerily with another grin.

Sayori Hatake, Yldiena

"Oh no of course not!" The pokemon exclaimed, fairly shocked at the notion, forgetting that the people of this island weren't familiar with technology of any sort. "Sayori would never do anything to harm or discomfort me."

"I really hope that she answered no, hehe." She said awkwardly, partially worried that the answer might be no, though of course, logically she knew it would be. "And no i can't hear her, though i'm pretty sure that she can understand me." She said, leaning down to pet her sylveon. She found the gijinka learning about the whole experience refreshing. It really made her look back and realize how lucky she was that this technology does exist.

Yldiena took the pet, returning it with a nuzzle. "I don't have any questions i need answered, you Yldi?" The pokemon shook her head, her smile wide and sweet, obviously enjoying the petting and attention she was getting. "So do you guys have pets here? I haven't seen any... um.. wild pokemon here."

Noah
As their trek resumed, the two remained silent for a bit, followed by Nickel muttering about the humans, then concluding that he couldn't come up with a better explanation of what was going on than that. Noah nodded in response to Nickel's comment. "Given everything we saw, I'm even more confident that they brought humans to the island." Noah stated quietly but just enough for Nickel to hear him, "At this point, I'm just curious as to what their plan is, and how we should best prepare for it moving forward." Now, there were several ways that Noah could see this scenario going down. Maybe Azoth would manipulate the humans into joining their side of the conflict, giving them more soldiers if they were to outright go to war with them. Perhaps they'll attempt this, and then the humans backstab them and start attacking one or both tribes, which would still be bad. Most of Noah's envisioned outcomes ended in a grim manner like this. After all, humans were malicious and destructive creatures, as described by many of the stories Kiba has told for generations. They were vile and cruel towards the gijinka, so why was Azoth so willing to let them on the island and accept them into their village? Surely, this situation was going to bite them in the ass, but if not, Kiba would be in hot water, as they wouldn't just have to fight the Azoth Tribe, but they'd have to fight the humans as well. That would be the worst case scenario, but if that arises, how exactly would they fight both the humans and Azoth gijinkas at once?

Noah was broken out of this deep state of thought when Nickel popped the same question Noah couldn't help but stay thinking of. Thankfully, it seemed that it was not only Noah who was worried about this situation. "I see you were wondering about something similar as well..." Noah sighed, sounding a bit concerned about their predicament but also relieved that he wasn't the only one, "I'll ask the alphas about this when we get back to the village. For now, I'm thinking we should at least make sure that the humans stay out of our territory, especially considering that Azoth might try to use them against us." For the moment, this was what Noah was thinking. After all, they wouldn't have to worry about the humans if they don't enter their territory in the first place.

Nickel

Wow. Similar indeed. Again, it was kinda nice to not have spell everything, yet a part of him kinda enjoyed having to. After all, how could he add anything important to a conversation if the person he was trying to talk to understood everything already? Wait, that almost sounded like he was wishing Noah was dumber. That would be literally stupid, which is why Nickel also found it funny. "Well, why am I here, if you're gonna be reading my mind? You're giving me an inferiority complex here," he sarcastically grumbled, a huge smile plastered on his face, as he further mumbled something about not being able to do his job.

Then, he returned back to his more serious worries and whispers, "...but ya, agreed. An aggressive move would likely be used against us, as a possible justification for... whatever they'll do. Though, I'm also worried that a defensive move won't be a... a...," Dang it. What was that word he had just been thinking of? Whatever, rephrase it, "...would be seen as us doing nothing. ...I'm getting a nasty lose-lose vibe."

"...whatever will minimize the risk of an alliance seems best. Otherwise..., I guess I should just be glad I'm not a general."

Eliora:

She smiled fondly, but ultimately shook her head.

"The only thing you can do for me is not keep your head in a book at least today of all days." She said pointing a slim finger down at the thick leather-bound novel. She knew Ash introducing herself and being eager to so many people was not an easy feat, but she knew how dedicated she was when Ash made a decision. She just hoped she'd perhaps try talk to humans or help some other gijinkas.

"Thank you for the kind offer though, Ash, but I believe I can handle everything here for now." There wasn't that much to do. There was a few extra books that she had not reviewed and she needed to see if there was any new plants she had to research, neither of which she required Ash to understand yet.

Standing up she waved the little Litten goodbye and watched until she was out of eyesight before turning to go back inside.

Mallory and Eliora:
Mallory smiled. "Don't fret she answered no." Her head turned to focus on the ball on the floor. It was far tinier than the pokemon itself and she couldn't even begin to comprehend how it could be comfortable at all. Bending down she scooped the ball between her bouquets and carefully plopped it into Sayori's hands. Hearing her next question she tilted her head in thought.

"Not really." She said looking between the two. "There are Pokemon here, but they're all wild. Sure there are nice ones, but it's very rare to adopt one. You should see more once you're able to explore outside Azoth. I'm not entirely sure if anybody in Azoth has a pet if I'm honest." Not soon after Eliora walked in holding her basket filled to the brim with all kinds of greens and florals.

"Eliora, does anyone have any pets?" Eliora paused taken aback by the question. Moreso because she didn't have the answer. Looking down she realized that there was another guest that wasn't there when she first met Sayori.

"Oh, hello. A fellow eeveelution. And a gorgeous one too. What's your name?" Once greetings had been exchanged she turned to face the human.

"I think there's a lady who takes care of the training pokemon for the younger ones. I think she is particularly fond of her chingling? That's the only person I can think of." She said placing the basket down. In a few short strides she closed the distance between them and with quick ease she reached for Sayori's arm. Eyeing Mallory's handiwork she seemed pleased enough.

"If you two would like you're more than welcome to leave." Mallory looked taken aback.

"Me as well?" She asked confused. She thought she was meant to stay at the medical centre the entire day. Eliora smiled and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder in an attempt to calm her worries.

"You can show her around Mallory. Just be back an hour before the Banquet starts alright?"

Mallory smiled and gave a small curtsy before leaving with Sayori. Going out into the fresh air she could feel her roots easing in the warm glow. Days like these were heaven for grass types.

"So Sayori, Yldiena." She folded her bouquets one on top of the other and poised herself with elegant ease.

"Where would you like to go or shall I decide?"

Sayori Hatake and Yldiena

Sayori smiled again, she was happy to hear Mallory ask the both of them instead of just her, people never seemed to treat pokemon as fairly as humans. Yldiena smiled as well. Mallory's simple and elegant posture charmed her a little, surely these strange people were magnificent. "Hmm.. i cant think of anything, seeing as im new here. What about you?" She looked down to her best friend.

"Nope." She answered, shaking her head. "Where do you think we should go Mallory?"

Litten.600.2010349 - cropped small.jpg The child looked down at the book in her arms, debating the older Gijinka's words. Her ears twitched thoughtfully. As much as she wanted to go off and read somewhere, and she really wanted to, she knew Eliora was right. Today was not a day for hiding out alone. Not when everyone was really excited about having humans in the village. She looked back up at the healer and nodded, having made her decision.

"Ok. I'll go and find somebody else to help then if you don't need me," she said. "Bye, Eliora." With that she scampered off in the direction of the main hall, still clutching her book tightly to her chest. First, she would put this in her room, then she would seek out one of the others to ask if they needed help with anything.

Minutes later, the young Gijinka emerged from her bedroom. She peered around, searching for any sign of Anaika, Suvinay, or May. Well, they certainly weren't here. Padding through the halls, she poked her head into each room. She thought back to what Eliora had said earlier about her judgment of the humans. Perhaps she was right and the young Gijinka had been too hasty. There had to be something special about these humans, otherwise, why would the Alphas and May go to such trouble to bring them here? Did they have some kind of special power? Did they possess knowledge that the Gijinka did not? Ash pondered these possibilities silently.

Maybe she should just approach a human and ask them directly. What harm could there be? They were supposed to be learning from each other, were they not? So why did the thought of talking to one of these strangers make her feel nervous? Was she...scared? No, no of course not. There was nothing to be scared of about these humans. Nothing at all.

"Don't be stupid, Ash," she muttered to herself. Pushing the thought away, she continued her search for the three village diplomats.

Noah
Since Noah had enhanced hearing abilities, he was able to pick up Nickel's comments about his job rather easily. "Considering that this was a stealth mission, you did alright." He replied in an attempt to boost Nickel's confidence. While he certainly wasn't going to tell him this, he was kind of happy that Nickel's biggest strengths didn't have to come into play during this mission, mostly because this really was not a time he wanted to get into combat. Despite the fact that combat this mission would have been a bad idea, he could see why Nickel was bummed out, since it was mostly Noah doing the scouting work. After Nickel gave his take on the strategy, Noah nodded in response to his comment about a defensive move possibly being a lose-lose vibe. "True... I suppose that wouldn't be the most effective plan of action either..." Noah replied, sounding mildly frustrated with himself. It seemed there wasn't too much that Kiba could do without some serious risks involved. If they went on the offensive, them and Azoth would likely go to war, and the humans would either backstab or side with Azoth. However, if Kiba went on the defensive, then that would give Azoth all the time they need to convince the humans to side with them to take Kiba down. Either way, Noah couldn't find a clear cut answer to their problems. "This is irritating... There doesn't seem like there's a definitive way to handle this, at least without any serious drawbacks..." Noah grumbled with a rather pissed off tone of voice. "We should get a third opinion on this. If you have any additional ideas though, feel free to speak up."

Nickel

Nickel was surprised. Did Noah just come back with a jab of his own? Accident or not, Nickel couldn't resist calling it out. "Heheh, geez, ...how patronizing can ya get?" Despite the supposed jab at his stealth capabilities, his mood was notably improved. Not only did he find such playful jabs amusing, even towards himself, but he had already written off the serious situation as something for Alphas and Generals to worry about. Right now, he could little-to-nothing about what would happen. He might be able to influence it slightly, eventually, but there's no good reason to get frustrated over what he couldn't decide.

Of course, that didn't mean it wasn't worth worrying about at all. They would still have deal with it later, his words could potentially make a difference, and people had a tendency to get upset if he seemed too careless. On the other hand, this could all just be a guessing game about what the Alphas would do. As such, he continued in with his thoughts, though in a much more casual tone, "Well, let's see. If this is a game of alliances..., we can't do anything with Azoth, as their minds're already made up. At least, not until the backstabbing begins. ...Perhaps someone could sabotage that, but I'd be too afraid of it backfiring... Anyway, the humans are a rogue element. Outside what they're told, they don't have a good reason to attack us or anything, yet. That won't stop them from making something up, or pretending that the Azoth successfully manipulated them, or whatever, but we don't know. We also don't know what they brought, or what they'll bring if we strike at them. So, no matter what we do about Azoth, for the humans, we need time, information, and to not give them a reason to ally and attack."

Another moment for thought, "Well, those needs sound awfully familiar... to me," he adds, with rather wide smile, clearly making some kind of reference.

Mallory:
Mallory pondered for a moment. She wasn't much of an explorer herself and hadn't seen much inside the walls. She knew there was plenty of things to do what with the gijinkas who came into the medical centre after a night out or a day trip, laughing and stumbling over their words trying to recall their day's events. While the stories were more than entertaining she didn't think any of those activities were particularly the safest for Sayori though. What was there that could entertain both a human and a pokemon? As if a lightbulb had burst to life in her mind she recalled the Gijinka whom Eliora mentioned earlier.

"There's a lady who lives nearby with pokemon that trains the younger kids. I'm sure she'd be willing to host us for a bit of time and she might have some knowledge about some of your pokemon which can aid you in the future. What do you say? That sound like a plan?"

Sayori Hatake and Yldienna

She smiled as she watched the gijinka think.. she seemed rather peculiar, as iff she didnt live down on the ground, but more in the clouds. "That sounds like lot's of fun, and pretty interesting at that. I'd like to see how you guys do stuff.." She said, a bright smile pasted on her face. "So," She began, as they walked. "What do you do for fun Mallory? Do you guys like games? Sorry if anbything i say seems weird.. im just getting used to things.."

Busy. Busy. Busy.

Everyone seems to be like that. It was either they were guiding the humans somewhere or preparing for the feast. Drizo had managed to avoid getting roped into it through sheer luck and pulling favors. There wasn't a single quiet spot in their entire village thanks to this. He had half a mind to go to the Holy Grounds but he was ninety percent sure that he saw May take some human out there - probably to meet with Taima. Unfortunate but he wasn't going to risk having to interact with a human yet. Eventually, yes, but not now.

But he still needed to find somewhere to rest. Somewhere quiet. Somewhere that people don't frequent unless absolutely needed.

He found himself at the doorstep of the clinic before he could even think about anything else. He wasn't sure if it was because it was arguably the quietest place in their tribe for now or if it was because he wanted to see Eliora. Either way, he was opening the door before he could second guess himself in doing anything else because he honestly was getting tired of doing the second guessing.

"Eliora?" He called out casually as he walked inside, glad to see that there were no humans around. Though, he doesn't see Mallory either. How odd. "Can I crash here for a while? It's pretty busy outside and it's really hard to take a breather." He explained his situation. Despite his interest in Eliora, Drizo doesn't find it too hard to talk to her. Maybe sometimes his mind blanks out, but he usually can recover and continue on normally instead of being a stuttering mess. It may be because of the fact that they've known each other for a long time.

Leaving the young Cyndaquil behind to her own devices after giving her a tip on how to burn all that firewood up and make fire (being a fire type sure was useful), Fiero began to look for someone else to disturb. He didn't have many friends in the Kiba tribe, acquaintances yes, but his friends at the Azoth tribe greatly outweighed those here. He could understand why. They were all so cautious of each other and while they do care about gijinkas, the mere fact that he's tribeless already sends alarm bells ringing through their heads. Fiero didn't mind, he was used to it. He had two decades to do so.

Still, it meant he had little to do. Azoth tribe was rather busy and he was ushered out by one of their scouts because of some important celebration that he couldn't participate in. Spoilsports but he wasn't about to cross the tribe by disobeying an order. That would be inviting trouble.

But where should he-

Ah!

Nothing better than visiting his good friend Diana while he's there. He wondered what sort of fetching quest or general talk Diana was up to this time. She was meek, soft spoken sometimes and definitely not someone who would appreciate someone as energetic as Fiero - but they get along fascinatingly well. Maybe this time around, he could push Diana to make friends with someone else aside from him. At most, her interactions with the other tribe members were merely patients or higher ups. She needed to expand on that and Fiero was there to help.

What he didn't expect was the fact that there was someone else at the clinic. And it seemed to be Alik. But there was no turning back now. "Hello there Alik!" He greeted cheerfully first but had a tone of respect laced into it. Once he turned to Diana, his face broke out into a grin and had to physically stop himself from lunging at the girl and tackling her into a hug. "And hey Diana! Long time no see. Been a week since I last saw you!" He greeted with a loud chuckle before rummaging through his pack and then handing her a small cloth-bag. "I got you those herbs you were talking about. Don't know if they're right or if you need any more but there ya go!" His tail curled up behind him. "So, what are you doing?"
