The world of Pokemon is a vast one. All of the pokemon have been discovered by now. Thanks to humans being able to learn so much from and about all the different pokemon, life has been improved for all. Science and technology have been advanced immensely. Agriculture is more efficient. Cuisine is more nutritious. Art is more vibrant.

However, there is an island which humans remain oblivious to. It is not on any maps. Its inhabitants are believed to be a myth by the few humans who have ever heard of them. The island of Henshu contains your average variety of pokemon along with a species that isn't human and isn't pokemon, but a strange hybrid of the two. A mutant of sorts.

These gijinka have been living on Henshu for several generations. As of now, their are two tribes: Kiba and Azoth. The tribes have been warring for many years. Only with the newest generation have the two settled enough that they only have small scuffles from time to time. All this is thanks to a difference in philosophy. Azoth believes that they should give humans a second chance and try to integrate into their society. Kiba still remembers their history and wishes to prevent it from happening again.

May was pacing back and forth. The rut in the sand showed that she had been at it for quite some time. Her arms kept shifting positions as she forced herself to stop chewing on her thumb nail. She had asked some of the least conspicuous gijinka to help the humans get here. May had to return so she could work on preparations for the banquet.

That meant she was currently increasingly stressed about their safe arrival. If something happened to the humans before they got here... no, she couldn’t think about that now. She had chosen trustworthy gijinka to act as sailors to get the humans here. Only with the help of the water types would the boat be able to make it safely. Thankfully there were some willing to take on the tedious task.

Not too long after, May noticed the faint silhouette of an object on the horizon. The longer she looked, the larger it got, eventually identifiable as a small boat. The very boat May had managed to get for their humans. Her pacing stopped as she moved closer to the water’s edge. The waves were mercifully gentle today.

“May stop looking so nervous.” Came a gruff voice from right behind her. His arms folded across his chest in annoyance, he squinted to the farther point across the shoreline. Drystan still didn’t completely understand the need for humans to come to the island, but it wasn’t his job to say if it was a good idea or not. He was the General not the advisor after all. He scratched at the itching scar across his face and glanced over at May.
“The more stressed you are the more stressed the humans will be. And if they’re anything like you explained they’re gonna be a wreck already.”

The mienshao looked over her shoulder at the general before her eyes drifted back to the horizon.
“I can't just not be stressed, Drystan. If this doesn't go well, we may never reach our goal of joining humans.” She frowned, her mind a muddle of messy thoughts. But Drystan was right. She had to at least appear calm in front of the humans.

With several deep breaths, May straightened her back and managed a friendly expression. She spun on her heel to face the general.
“As long as we keep them away from Kiba, we should be fine.” She offered him a smile. Despite all her worries, she was excited to properly meet the humans and have them experience the island.

“Ah, they're almost here. At least try to look friendly Drystan.” she commented as the boat approached. Drystan’s scowl deepened. “I am looking friendly.” As it neared the beach, the sails were reeled back and the vessel was carefully steered onto the sand. There were some instructions being yelled at between sailors, one of which could be seen leaping off the side of the boat. A young woman with silver hair that May knew as Mala stood on the sand to grab the planks the others were lowering to make a ramp.

Soon, the humans were being ushered off the boat and greeted by May.
“Welcome to Henshu, I'm glad you all made it. I hope the ride here wasn't too unpleasant. Most of you have met me before, I am May. This is Drystan.” She gestured to the gruff redhead. Drystan saw the look in her eye and exasperatedly threw his hands down in a more relaxed position. Forcing his mouth into a forced grin it looked more awkward than pleasant. His fangs sharp and poignant. Seeing the reaction or rather scared reaction he rolled his eyes and went back to his neutral scowling face. “If you would please follow me. Stay close, the forest is rather dense and can be difficult to traverse.” May said.

Drystan watched them all slowly trod along the path, but he also noticed them move just a tad more quickly pass him. He was used to the fearful reaction from most gijinkas so he didn’t take the humans reactions too personally. Once all had passed he marched on behind them making sure none strayed from the past. He didn’t think they’d be stupid enough to do so, but everyone gets distracted. And low and behold one did. A female human was gazing intently into the deep brush of the forests. Her eyes fixated on anything that moved. With an annoyed huff he moved next to the girl and bent down to her level until they made eye contact. His burning red eyes boring into hers.

“Move faster.” He growled and feeling May’s gaze on him he breathed out a sigh. “Please.” He spat through gritted teeth.

The girl jolted upright before dashing to catch up to the others. May shot him a warning look, but not angry. She quickly led the way forward and soon a large wall could be seen, albeit mostly hidden by trees and other foliage. The group approached a gate the height of the wall not long after. Those watching the gate quickly opened at the sight of May and her train of trainers.

“This is Azoth, our village and home. All the gajinka here have been asked to be as hospitable as possible and answer any questions you may have.” She explained as they walked. The roads became more crowded as the murmers of excited gijinka spread through the village. So few had ever seen a human before.
“We are currently heading to the Alphas’ home. They are to us as a king and queen would be to you.”

Ellis watched in awe as the gate opened wide and behind the thick walls lay a gorgeous, quaint village. Vibrant trees and bushes were scattered everywhere and the smooth dirt road was lined with gorgeous blooming flowers of all hues and scents. All the houses looked roughly the same with the clay brick and toffee coloured roofs. One of the houses stood far different from the others. It was larger and had vines creeping along every crevice. Yellow flowering ivy producing a scent as sweet as berries. Standing in front of this house stood two Gijinka. A tall boisterous women whose hair fell down in cascading golden locks. Her tanned skin and golden eyes sparkled joyously underneath the warm sun. Immediately Ellis knew she was the Alpha. Her poise and stance was indicative of someone who must be a refined leader. The male gijinka to her left didn’t exude quite as much of a commanding aura as she did, but the way she spoke so tenderly and fondly to him led Ellis to assume indeed he was the Alpha. They didn’t look much older than him to his surprise. The shorter quieter Alpha nudged the female and with a confused expression she turned to face us. Immediately her face lit up even more and her dark cherry lips blossomed into an excited smile. Picking up her dress which fell in waves she walked quickly and with great enthusiasm to the group. She gave May a large, tight hug and whispered a few things to her. Once their conversation was done she looked over across the group and almost instantly they fell silent.

“Greetings humans!” Her syrupy smooth voice boomed across the land. She raised her hands and gestured around her. “Welcome, to our lovely home we call Azoth. My name is Anaika, but you may have special permission to call me Annie.” She said with a wink.

“Togepi?” Came a small little voice from Ellis’ satchel. Startled he looked down in embarrassed horror as his togepi began to arise at the sound of the name Annie. He had given her specific instructions to be quiet until after introductions.

“Annie, no not you.” He said quietly trying to get the togepi to settle. “A different Annie not you.” From his pocket he pulled out a pomeg berry and handed it to her. Immediately she settled and gleefully dug in to the fruit. With a relieved sigh he looked back towards the alphas happy he hadn’t missed much. Anaika who was done talking about Azoth was now indicating towards the open door.

“Please come inside!” She offered. “May, please lead them in.”
“Of course my alpha.” May bowed her head respectfully to Anaika, a small grin on her face that only the alphas would see. She knew Annie wasn't fond of all the formalities that came with the position. May opened the door, stepping aside to let the humans pass her into the house. Once they had all been herded in the right place, May took a spot next to a pair of ornate chairs which looked over the humans.

Once the humans had settled Drystan followed suit and took his place next to May. His silence was indicative of his support for May and also his displeasure for being forced to stand in the front. He did not like being in front such a large crowd. He’d always do it if he had to. Anaika and her mate moved together to their adjacent seats and stood over the crowd. Anaika’s gaze swept across the sea of heads and she nodded to herself satisfied. May had found a good group.

“Before we enjoy the wonderful banquet in your honour which May has planned we must be aware of a few formalities and rules.” She held out one finger both to summon silence and indicate the start of her list.

“Firstly I’m sure May has said you may go to any gijinka to ask questions and while all will be willing to help you please note Drystan is put in charge of your protection as the general of this land. Secondly please do not be intimidated by our status as Alphas we are eager to be approached by any of you. Thirdly don’t be alarmed if gijinkas approached you. We are just as fascinated by you as you are of us. And lastly-” Her vivacious smile crumbled and a sternness fell over her. Her hands fell to her side, making sure the seriousness of her words reached every ear. “Please. Explore Azoth to your heart’s content, but please do not explore outside our walls. There are walls for a reason. Understood?” A few murmurs from the crowd confirmed her words and her dark cloud dissipated for her sunny personality to come shining through.

“Wonderful! May have I left anything out?”

The mienshao stepped forward, bringing the attention to herself. “As our alpha has said, there is going to be a feast to celebrate your arrival. It will be held this evening, so you are free to explore as you like until then. As for leaving the village walls, we will be organising excursions so you won’t feel trapped here. Your safety is our number one priority, so please be patient for a day or two.” She offered all of the humans a warm, welcoming smile. May then turned back to Anaika. “I believe that is all, my alpha.”

Anaika nodded. “Absolutely grand.” Turning to face them she threw her shoulders back, her hair bouncing with all the excited enthusiasm she radiated.
“Well what are you waiting for? Have fun! Explore! And welcome! May this be an event you don’t forget!”

Cyndi was waddling along the forest searching for firewood like she does every morning. she took her job vary seriously, after all, the cheif himself had given her theis vary important task to make sure the Kiba tribe stayed warm. "hehe, I'm gonna be the best fire starter the village has ever seen!" she said confidently as she found another stick. she happily collected a few before heading back into the village. She waddled up to the center and placed her small sticks next to some of the large fire logs some of the bigger tribe members had cut down. she smiled happily as she counted that she had collected more tiny sticks then anyone else had collected large logs and assumed that was a good thing. "YAY I DID IT!" she cheers as she jumps up and down proudly.

Egil
Egil smiled as he watched the humans arrive from his window. He always found humans fascinating, really, from what he heard of them, and though he hadn’t been waiting in the crowds before, he left his home to enter the streets to see if he could meet one. What little he heard of them from his old tribe had painted them as cruel creatures but he had never believed that. He hoped to prove them wrong

María del Rosario
María cautiously entered the village, curiosity outwaying her suspicion enough to allow her to leave the boat. The people here- they clearly weren’t any species known to man or Pokemon, these gijinkas as they called themselves seemed some odd combination of human and Pokemon, and it was certainly something she had to get to the bottom to, eventually. Then again, she shouldn’t abuse her welcome. At least, until the feast. No point asking questions on an empty stomach, she supposed, though in truth she was simply very hungry.

Lexi
gGn7Ft8.png
Lexi was, to put it simply, in awe. The island was beautiful just as it was. The fact that humans – or gijinka in this case – had barely touched its natural state made it all the more incredible. Even on some of the less occupied places she had visited, there was always that touch of human colonisation that permeated the area. There wasn’t any such thing here. Even the buildings looked as if they belonged there, made out of mostly natural substances. Even looking closely, the only metal she could see on the buildings were small pieces for things like hinges.

Oh, this place was truly fascinating. She pulled her backpack round to her front so she could dig for her journal. She retrieved the simple, leather-bound notebook and a pencil and quickly began jotting down notes of what she observed.

Lexi quickly remembered she wasn’t alone here. The other trainers had been ushered out of the alphas’ hut along with her. She turned to the one nearest her. A blond man with glasses. He seemed around her age, if a little older.
“It’s pretty amazing, isn’t it?” She asked him with a smile before holding her hand out to him. “Alexia Corona, but Lexi is fine.” Whether he took her hand or not, Lexi would accept.

She looked around and noticed an odd pokemon or two wandering around the village, seeming to know to keep off of the roads.
“If there are other pokemon walking around, I assume it’s safe to let ours out...” She looked at the pokeball in her hand. With a moment of contemplation and a shrug, she released the pokemon inside.
“Vii” A sylveon appeared and stretched before trotting to stand right against Lexi’s leg.

The crowd dissipated immediately filtering through the doors and into the unexplored world. A small hint of panic seized Ellis as he realized what this meant. Discovering new areas was not the scary part, but random gijinka coming up to him and starting a conversation was. He just wasn't ready for that. Scanning his immediate environment his flitted from person to person. Eventually he landed on May, the one person he knew. If he couldn't avoid people he might as well stick near someone he knew was nice. Quickly he strode towards her not wanting to wait much longer for someone else to talk to him or her. Not entirely sure how to start the conversation he cleared his throat to get her attention.

"Hey May," He started unsurely. "Is it alright if I stick with you initially?"

Eliora and Mallory
Mallory had just finished picking some herbs for some of Eliora's concoctions and was heading back to the hut. A loud commotion pricked her ears and she turned to face the source of the noise. Ah, she had completely forgotten what day it was. Humans were walking around gleefully talking to any gijinka who peaked their curiosity. A few caught her stare and mallory smiled politely giving them a quick wave of her bouquet hands. Without wasting more time she quickly made her way to the hut.

"Eliora the humans have arrived." She said placing the basket with the roots and shrubs on the table.

"Oh is that what day it is?" Eliora's voice came from the adjacent room. The vines which seperated the two areas spread open with a faint pink glow as Eliora stepped through.

"I suppose it's a good thing we started cleaning today." She stated. With an elegant wave of her hand the basket floated towards her and into her grasp. She rummaged through it quickly feeling for the different textures and hoping to release some of their scents. Pleased she gave Mallory a nod of approval.

"A fine batch. You grass types always do pick up a lot more quickly on natural ingredients." Mallory felt a deep sense of accomplishment. Eliora was extremely strict with her when she first met her commenting on every little detail which was amiss. Mallory understood quickly the less Eliora had to say the better she was doing. She handed the basket back to her.

"Place these in their respective containers. I'll make the front of the store seem more inviting."

Anaika, Suvinay and Drystan
With the group leaving the hall Anaika breathed out an exaggerated sigh of relief. Bounding over to Suvinay she was practically jumping in excitement. The refined energy she had maintained for guests fizzing away into her childish giddiness.

"How'd I do? How'd I do? Do you think it went well?" Do you think I went well?" She blurter out one after the other. Suvinay let slip a small grin.

"You did great." Anaika stopped leaping and smiled proudly, her eyes glinting with a proud sparkle. Turning to Drystan she waited for him to answer, but he just silently leaned against the wall. His arms folded and eyebrows knitted in usual irritation. Pouting Anaika gave him a playfully hard punch on the arm.

"What did I just say yesterday? Everyone must act natural except you, you need to be the opposite!" Drystan let out a surprised yelp. Nursing both his wound and his pride he glared back at Anaika.

"I am!" He argued. Suvinay knew how this would play out. Innocent fun or not if the two started arguing it would go on for long. Far too long. Suvinay quickly managed to grab both of their attention.

"Were we spotted by Kiba?" The two stopped bickering and quietened down. Putting their differences aside Anaika turned her attention back to Drystan waiting for an answer. He wasn't simply escorting the humans to make sure none got left behind. He was also sent to make sure nothing or nobody suspricious was around.

"I detected no movement from Kiba's side. As far as they know everything is still normal." Anaika listened intently, her face scrunched in concentration. As much as she was excited for the humans to be around if Kiba found out they would be in trouble far deeper than she could imagine. If Kiba knew they had to know and prepare. Even with Drystan vouching for it she wasn't completely convinced.

"Go find Drizo and see if he knows anything. If he reports back that everything is okay we can relax and focus on helping May prepare for the banquet."

Sayori Hatake

Sayori found it very difficult to listen to the strange, beautiful beings as they walked around the island, her eyes flitted from tree to tree waiting for the next strange thing to come around the corner as they entered the city. Immediately when the alpha came and spoke she was enamored, these.. gijinka were truly awe inspiring creatures. Once all they had stopped speaking she nervously walked up to Annie and tapped her shoulder as she had turned around. "U..um hello Annie..." She shuffled a little where she stood, rather nervous about talking to someone so high up, though she realized she should ask about the cut she had recieved in the jungle on accident as it was bleeding.

Diana

Diana walked around her house picking up odds and ends of dust and lint that had been left over after she was finished sweeping. The house had to look nice, cant have a nasty house when guests or patients arrived, no sir. "Wow, how do you somehow maintain a constantly mesy house Diana?" She scolded herself, picking up a shirt she had accidentaly left lying about.

Anaika, Eliora and Mallory
Anaika turned to look at who touched her, locking eyes with one of her human guests. Breaking into a dazzling smile she greeted the human.

"Yes, guest is everything alright?" Quickly giving her the once over she noticed the cut. Her eyes widened to the size of dinner plated and quickly looked between her and Drystan. Keeping her compsure she shot Drystan a look that meant she wasn't happy he hadn't noticed it.

"Don't fret I'll take you to Eliora. She'll sort this up in no time." She lead her by the small of her back out one door and down a winding path. Every gijinka they passed bowed deeply to Anaika and with a small nod of her head they went on with what they were doing. She enjoyed the walk, she wasn't able to do things like this so freely without Drystan nearby, but with the humans as the highest priority she was able to escort whoever she needed to without any special protecting. Finally they reached the hut. It was completely covered in a dark moss and vegetation twisted up the walls in tendrils. The entrance had some vines dangling down in a neat line. Without anyone moving them aside the tendrils moved apart allowing a gijinka to exit with ease. The gijinkas eyes were glowing an icy blue as a few more jars floated behind her. Collecting the moss from the walls she hadn't noticed the Alpha or the human nearby.

"Eliora." Anaika greeted. Eliora turned around, the containers slowly falling into her arms and her glowing eyes fading to her usual lavendar ones. She bowed.

"Ah Anaika. What brings you to my parts?"

Anaika gently guided the trainer forward for Eliora to see.

"This human has unfortunately injured herself, Could you help?"

Eliora turned her attention from Anaika to the human. Bending down ever so slightly she reached a hand out near the cut to see if the skin was badly inflamed.

"So you're a human? Fascinating." She said absentmindedly. Stepping backwards she turned her attention back to Anaika. "They seem to bleed as we do and their is a bit of redness. Mallory should be more than able to take care of it. I'm still busy harvesting a few items. She looked down at the human.

"I'll show you to Mallory." Bowing to the Alpha she turned around to go back inside. Anaika gave the trainer a small push to follow Eliora and a quick wave goodbye before she left to find Suvinay. Once Eliora was further inside she called out for Mallory from the back room. Not a moment later Mallory had arrived, a bit confused to Eliora's sudden call.

"This human is injured and needs your help."

Mallory smiled and came up to the human.

"Do they have a name? And where are you injured?" She asked politely turning from Eliora to the human. With her right hand Mallory gestured for the trainer to sit down.

"I suppose you'll find out. I'll be in the front if either of you need me."

Drizo had known that this was the day that the humans would arrive. Of course, everyone knew about it. He doubted any gijinka would not know about it - except from those from the Kiba tribe. While he had nothing against those guys, he knew the risks of them meeting with any of the humans. An all out fight between the tribes wouldn't be far behind. Drizo wasn't very keen in fighting such a pointless war. It would be both a waste of energy and a waste of gijinka population. He's heard from his parents' parents that it was only recently that they had managed to get an actual peace pact with the other tribe. They didn't need to go into a bloodbath.

This is the main reason why he has been flying around tirelessly for the past few hours. Tirelessly being an over exaggeration. He kept an eye on the borders though but he heard of nothing from the other tribe - not even the other scouting party. This was good. It meant that the Kiba Tribe had not caught wind of the humans' arrivals. He had worried that one of the tribeless gijinka would 'accidentally' tell the other tribe of the arrival of their guests who also happen to be a hated species of their rival tribe. He couldn't stress the fact that something bad would happen if they found out. He had seen the arrival of the humans and the welcoming committee had taken over. With that, Drizo had flown away to scout the surrounding area.

As far as he was concerned, he saw the usual movement of the Kiba tribe - hunting, farming, scouting. Nothing had led him to believe that they were suspicious of their actions. He hoped that they could keep it that way. When they had reached their walls, Drizo made another round before passing the walls and then landing on the ground. He stretched his wings once before folding them up behind his back neatly. He let out a yawn as he began walking towards the main encampment and then sat down at one of the many benches that were strewn about. He had a little more time to rest and then he had to go out again before the festivities start.

He saw the group disperse and, unlike most, he held little to no particular interest in the humans. Not immediately, at least. He could wait until later to talk to them or if they needed to talk to him. He didn't mind in the slightest - but right now, he wanted to rest his wings a bit before having to take off again. It wasn't soon, however, until he was called out - apparently, the Alphas needed him for something. Without a second thought, he had risen from his perch and then headed out to meet with them.

"Hey." Drizo had greeted with a small wave of his hand as he approached them. Drizo had never really gotten to the whole formality thing. They were older than him, yes, but he really didn't see the whole point of it. "Everything was normal in the Kiba tribe. They didn't stray too close while you were heading back so I don't think anyone saw you." He reported before looking up as he tried to dig through his memories if there had been any suspicious behavior from their more aggressive counterpart. "I don't think they know yet. Think I'm gonna head out again later after some rest to check."

Fiero had head rumors - of course, why wouldn't he? He's been travelling between tribes for quite some time now, just generally talking with gijinkas who want to talk and those who need help. Sometimes, he even had to trade off with them to survive. He didn't mind, of course. Each of the tribe had an commodity that nature doesn't have. This led him to a weird friendship among all of them - and he's often reminded how it would end very badly for a tribeless gijinka like himself to make an enemy out of the tribes. He wasn't foolish enough to try anything, at the very least, because he knows that his head would be on a pike faster than he could say 'a banana a day keeps the Chansey away'.

In any case, he's heard the word 'humans' be tossed around a lot lately. He knows that differing opinions on said humans was the reason as to why the Azoth and Kiba tribe were separate but he's never heard them so frequently before. Fiero did not want to be suspicious of his Azoth friends but they kept talking about it. They knew that he would never spill any information about their tribe to the Kiba tribe - it was a mutual agreement. He wasn't going to get involved in their tribes aside from the social mingling that most living forms would need to do. However, this might directly involve him and his boundless curiosity. Why were they talking about the humans? Were humans close to finding this place? That was not good. Who knows what the Kiba tribe would do!

He definitely could not go to visit Azoth right now because they claimed that they were busy preparing for something. You'd think with the amount of giijnkas running around, they would be able to finish early. Yeah, that didn't happen. Nevertheless, Fiero had made good on his promise and left the Azoth tribe alone. This left the option to bug Blaze or bug the Kiba tribe. Since the merchant was currently out of sight and out of mind, he had begun his trek towards the Kiba tribe territory.

He wondered what kind of day awaited for him.

Sayori Hatake

"oh, ok." Sayori said, filtering the alpha, as ask the gijinka bowed to Anaika she couldn't help but feel a little awed. When they arrived to the house and the vibes opened up for them her eyes widened. These creatures really were powerful, and awesome. She didn't really have any time to say anything as Anaika waved by, she waved back to her as she was led to the other room.

She looked at who seemed the medics assistant and gasped slightly when she saw her eyes. They were just like hers. "Hi..my name's Sayori.. the cuts in my arm.. I accidentally went off the trail and found a really thorny bush."

Lucas Hayes
It didn’t take long before they went past the walls and into the village known as Azoth. Honestly, the scenery was quite beautiful, with the buildings reminding him of Fortree City back in the Hoenn region. Overall, the place had a nice, cozy feel to it. Lucas started jotting a bit in his notepad that he had brought with him. Honestly, he wasn’t even sure where to start as far as research was concerned, whether it be asking about the gijinkas themselves or the environment around them, but first, they needed to meet the alpha of the village, Anaika.

After Anaika’s speech, Lucas wrote a bit more down pertaining to the rules. He didn't mind that he was going to have to stick around inside the walls for a while, as there was already so much he wanted to do within. However, he was definitely planning to go outside a bit when given the chance. After all, he wanted to take a look and jot down as much as possible relating to this island that no one else seemed to have discovered. As much as he'd want to phone Professor Birch about it with his pokenav, there was no signal, so any attempts at calling would be useless. Lucas stopped writing once the brown-haired girl from the boat ride asked him something about the island. “Yeah, this place is pretty amazing…” Lucas answered happily before taking her outstretched hand, “Lucas Hayes. Nice to meet you.”

Him and Lexi both seemed to notice that there were wild pokemon walking around. Lexi wondered if this meant it was safe to bring out her pokemon, and let out her Sylveon. Lucas hesitated at first, but then shrugged off and replied with “Hm… Yeah, given that, it’s probably safe.” before releasing his Reuniclus, Jelly, from her pokeball. Jelly looked around a bit before settling with floating around Lucas’s shoulder. “This is Jelly." Lucas stated, "We've been together for a while, but ehh I'll spare you the details for now."

"Uni!" Jelly bubbled happily before floating down to about Sylveon's height, looking rather curiously at said Sylveon.

Noah
Since Azoth had been acting strangely quiet as of late, Noah and Nickel were ordered to go on and scout, and check out what exactly is going on. Since Noah did not have much of a clue either in this case, he did his best to be as stealthy and quiet as possible when on this mission. While there was a chance they might have just been doing nothing, there was also a solid chance that something very grim could be going on and the Kiba tribe didn’t know the entire time. Because of this, Noah had to make sure his guard was up the entire time to prevent anything disastrous from happening to him or Nickel when near their territory. There were several rumors floating about within the Kiba tribe of what the Azoth tribe was doing. Were they spying more on them? Were they preparing for another war? As likely as those rumors could seem at surface level, Noah did not want to jump to conclusions. After all, there really wasn't any way to know what was truly going on until finding out for yourself.

Hm... Noah darted around a bit with Nickel, making sure nobody was secretly spying on the two as they got closer to the walls of the Azoth Tribe. So far, everything seemed pretty normal; nothing too out of the ordinary at least. He noticed some figures in the distance heading toward the walls, so Noah hid and silently observed what was going on. Something about the group seemed off, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it at first. "Alright, I'm going to come in closer and check out what's going on." He stated to Nickel before getting a bit closer to said group. The group didn’t seem too out of the ordinary at first glance, as a couple of them were gijinka, but the rest of them were no gijinka. No; from what the way the Azoth gijinkas were talking to these suspicious characters, these were… humans. And Azoth just let them inside their territory with seemingly open arms.

Once the group was inside the walls, Noah looked back at Nickel, rather surprised at what he just witnessed. “Hey, Nickel.” Noah whispered in a barely audible manner, not wanting to give their position away to anyone who might be trying to watch, "It seems the Azoth tribe just let humans onto the island."

Why would a military force stop focusing on an opposing force? Well, either because there was no longer a reason for opposition, which was beyond unlikely, or they found something else to focus on. A disaster? One that bad had the potential to spread across the border. Perhaps they discovered something important, like a new weapon or an ancient power they wished to harness? Perhaps it was some strategy attempting to lure their enemies in? Perhaps some politic shenanigans had caused a civil war?
These were questions a leader needed answers for.
Nickel was no leader.
In fact, right now, he hated leaders on both sides. One, for sending him out here for answers. The other, for providing the former with questions that would lead to him being sent out here for answers. He didn't hate scouting, except when he was this deep. Just past the border, a mistake might lead to threats or fights. Further in, he'd likely be chased off before someone else arrived. Here, they were surrounded and outnumbered to the point where type effectiveness had long since become irrelevant, and they hadn't even made any mistakes yet.

It didn't help that he felt pretty much useless. Noah didn't need much advise for his own job, and while Nickel could do wonders for him in a fight, fighting wasn't an option here. Maybe, if they were quick, maybe... they'd be able to take one out that spotted them... if that one froze up. Once they further away, together they could fight even if they were a bit outnumbered, but not here. Here, next to this town, he was just a sacrificial Pawniard sent to distract from a sneaky Bisharp, hoping it didn't come to that. Worst part was that he couldn't even complain about it because he had to be silent.

Noah mentioned something about going ahead, and Nickel merely nodded. He would only shift his position a bit. His goal was to keep his body out of sight, behind something, and only peek when he could keep his face covered in shadow. Extra distance always helped, too. He couldn't make out any details by sight or sound, but did see the colors of the humanoid shapes. A lot of whites, a lot of blacks, and a lot of blues, yet their hair color varied. Perhaps some festival costumes? He could barely keep track of his own tribes celebrations. What species were they? Possibly a Nincada? An Eevee? An electric-type or two? Guessing was too inaccurate at this distance, and they were disappearing inside anyways.

Noah made another familiar noise and revealed what he had put together. A flash of surprise, then a flash of doubt, followed by grim acceptance. They had to know this would upset Kiba, and a part of him wanted to believe that they wouldn't want to piss them off anymore, but he knew he could trust Noah, so he nodded again. However, immediately after, he raised a finger and eyebrow in a fashion that would be exaggerated if he wasn't also trying to keep hidden. Noah should recognize what he was doing. He had to play the Contrarian sometimes to ensure a successful mission, and ensure they wouldn't just be sent right back, so he responded with his own whisper of, "You sure?" Still, Noah was a trusted scout and Nickel had no issues telling the higher ups that it made sense with what he himself saw. Plus, he REALLY wanted to get out of here, so he added, in a more hopeful tone, whilst gesturing the way they came, "Or are we done?"

May, as usual, was bustling around the village. Well, that was her intent. She came to an abrupt stop when a less familiar voice called to her. She knew everyone in the village for one reason or the other, so not imediately being able to recognise the voice put her on edge. She quickly spun on her heel and let out a small sigh of relief to see it was one of the humans.

"How can I help you?" She imediately asked. With his request, she blinked owlishly. "You want to come with me? Oh..." Her face went through a few different emotions. Confusion to contemplation. She had a lot to still do, but her job was to make sure the humans were as happy as possible. If that's what this human wanted, she would need to do so. After a moment, she nodded.
"Of course. I will help however I can. I must confess, I do still have a lot of work to do for the banquet. Would it be alright if I continue with that?" She offered a polite smile to the boy.

Lucas? That was a nice name. And the person who owned it seemed pretty nice too. In fact, everyone here seemed pretty nice. Even the scary faced, redhead who guided them here with May. He was a bit sour, but Lexi saw how the other gijinka interacted with him and could assume he was good at heart. The brunette was quickly pulled from her thoughts as a Reuniclus appeared from its pokeball. Her mouth formed a small "O" as she peered at the pokemon with interest.
"Jelly, huh? That's pretty fitting." Lexi hid a chuckle behind her hand. She watched as her Sylveon raised a ribbon to poke at Jelly's squishy exterior before giving a happy call and stepping closer to the other pokemon.

"This bundle of energy is Lola. Had her from the begining. Her sister is back home nursing her latest litter. " Lexi smiled at Lucas. "And I always love hearing stories. There's a lot to learn in this world, and people are just one part of it."
"Vii?" Lola looked over at its trainer grumpily. She sat and mewed again.
"Oh, you must be hungry." Lexi looked around for a gijinka nearby who she could talk to. A familiar silver haired girl who had been one of the sailors was walking past. "Excuse me!" Lexi called out to her.

The gijinka quickly stopped, seeing who called out to her, her eyes lit up and she trotted over to the group. "Humans, what can I do ya for?" Her eyes then saw the pokemon which she looked equally pleased about seeing. "Ooh, I aint seen one of these fellas before." She commented, looking at the Reuniclus. With the gijinka now in short sleeves, Lexi could see armor plating on her elbows that looked reminisant of a Swampert. She passed so perfectly as a human with as little as a long sleeved shirt. It made Lexi wonder if she had ever crossed a gijinka in her travels and had never known.
"Do you know somewhere we can get some food for our pokemon? I used all the food I brought on the trip here."

The gijinka girl stood and tapped her chin for a moment. "Pokemon usually feed 'emselves, but most of 'em are wild still... Ah," She snapped her fingers. "Ye, I know a place. The kiddies like playin with Pokemon and it's great for trainin' them," She started walking and gestured for the humans to follow. Lexi shrugged and did so. "Ya see, some o' the adults aren't great at holding back their power. So 'avin the kiddies spar with Pokemon instead means they safe on both sides." It wasn't far and the group was there in a minute.
"Here ya go. I gotta get back to work. Hope ta talk ta ya humans again!" And with that, the gijinka jogged off.

15nt4t1.jpg
They were outside a house that looked very much like the others. If lexi peered around the side, she could see the wooden poles of a fence. She took a breath and knocked on the door. There was a scuffling sound from inside and the door opened shortly after. A woman, clearly a gijinka with her massive, poofy tail and small ears, opened the door. Her big eyes widened even more at the sight of the humans.
"H-h-h-humans?" She coughed into her hand to try collect herself. "Uhm, what brings you here humans? Do you want to see our Pokemon? Or maybe watch the lesson. I'm afraid we are finished with class for today..." Lexi, seeing this girl was close to being a wreck of nerves, offered a calm and polite smile.
"We are looking for some food for our pokemon." She gestured to Lola who had a ribbon wrapped around Lexi's wrist. "Another gi--lady brought us here when we asked."

A moment passed before realisation crossed the woman's face. "Oh, oh, of course. Please come in." She opened the door further and stepped aside to allow the humans to pass. "Uhm, take a seat." She gestured to the pillows that were strewn about the floor. The house felt like a strange mixture of school classroom and a home. The gijinka was hesitating between which direction to walk, not too sure what to do first. "Is it just the Sylveon?" She looked around and saw Lucas' Reuniclus and gave a quick nod, showing she had noticed it.
"Oh, actually I have a full team. Is it alright if I let them out here?" Lexi requsted politely. The gijinka smiled, then looked confused, then smiled again.
"All pokemon are welcome here... Except maybe a Wailord, for obvious reasons." She quickly responded. Everything about this gijink awas gittery and quick.
"Thank you." Lexi took no further time to let out her team of various eevee pokemon. Some gave a stretch, some nuzzled up to their trainer, one in particular seemed to care as little as possible. The gijinka's jaw was on the floor. It didn't seem to be the pokemon themselves that had caught her so off guard as the way they appeared. She looked to Lucas.
"Do.... Do you also have more?" She watched carefully to see if he would release pokemon as the girl had, making sure she wouldn't miss anything.

Lucas Hayes
So far, this Lexi girl seemed pretty nice, which was good. The entire village seemed nice as well, which was definitely good to see, given that he’d likely be here for a while. Lexi then introduced her Sylveon, Lola, who seemed to poking at Jelly a little. It seemed that Lola was a bit hungry, which reminded Lucas that it had been a while since his team ate as well, so they were also likely hungry. At the very least, he could tell Jelly was, given the look it gave him after Lola made grumpy noises toward Lexi.

Neither party was sure where exactly to get pokemon food, so Lucas and Lexi found a familiar face, that being one of the sailors that took them to the island. Now that she was wearing short sleeves, Lucas could tell that she was a likely a Swampert gijinka. It felt kind of odd seeing a gijinka that looked reminiscent of a pokemon that he currently had on him, but he also couldn’t help but find it really cool at the same time. Upon being asked about pokemon food, the Swampert gijinka redirected them to a place where kids spar with pokemon. Made sense to Lucas; if they were keeping pokemon there, they’d very likely have food to hopefully share with him and Lexi’s pokemon.

Upon knocking on the door, the two were greeted by a gijinka with a poofy tail and small ears, kind of like a Furret. He found it a bit interesting how some gijinkas seemed to be have more obvious pokemon traits than others, but didn't think too hard about it. The poor girl was very started; Lucas almost felt kind of bad for her. Thankfully that didn’t last long, as she calmed down a bit after hearing they just wanted some food for their pokemon. As they were let in, Lucas took his seat on one of the pillows, and looked around a bit. The place reminded him a bit of trainers’ school, which made sense since it seemed like this place was roughly an equivalent of that, but for gijinka. When asked if the Reuniclus and Sylveon were the only ones being fed, Lexi stated that she a full team. This piqued Lucas's interest, with him now curious about what the rest of her team looked like. When she released her pokemon from their pokeballs, he counted a Sylveon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Glaceon, and Eevee. "I see you're a fan of eevee and its evolutions." Lucas stated with an interested look on his face. It was honestly pretty cool to see so many eevee evolutions all in one place. He then remembered her saying something about the Sylveon's sister nursing her litter. "Say, would you happen to be a breeder?" Before he could get an answer to that question, the gijinka was curious if Lucas had more pokemon too.

“As a matter of fact, yes.” Lucas answered, happy to show off his pokemon as well. He then let out the rest of his team from their pokeballs, that being a Swampert, Heracross, Rotom, Vileplume, and Altaria. The Rotom zipped around and settled near the pocket where Lucas kept his pokenav, while the others seemed stay somewhat close to him, maybe looking around the room they were in.

Noah
As Noah went back towards Nickel, he heard him question whether or not he was sure that the group entering the Azoth tribe were truly humans or just some human-like gijinkas. While Noah was pretty confident that that group indeed consisted of humans, there always is that chance that they might not be. If he were to jump to the wrong conclusion, things could go very bad for the Kiba tribe especially, or at least for their relations with Azoth. However, there was also a good chance he was right, which was bad news in thet humans actually would have entered the island. As a kid, Noah had heard many terrifying stories about the humans, and the atrocities they have committed toward their people. If something like in those stories were to happen again.. Well, that would most certainly be a threat for both Azoth and Kiba, so he had to keep that worst case scenario in mind. He could try to fly in stealthily and get a closer look, but if these really were humans, Azoth would likely be on guard, and Noah wasn’t about to get him and Nickel killed over this.

“With the way they were talking to them, it sounded like they were being shown around their territory or something. At the very least, they are definitely not from Henshu.” Noah stated. "Given their lack of pokemon-like features, I’d say that it’s very likely that these are humans.” He then looked back at the walls and sighed. “Still, we shouldn’t jump to conclusions too soon. After all, there’s a slight chance that they might just be foreign gijinka, that just look like humans, or something along those lines. Either way, we should report this information back to Emrik, and hear what he has to say about this situation. Me personally; I don't like the look of this.”

Polina
It seemed that today was that fateful day. There had been talk about bringing humans onto the island for a quite a while now. Polly was always a bit nervous about it, as she heard some rather frightening things about them from her parents' stories. However, she was doing her best to push those thoughts aside, at least for now. After all, the alphas seemed to be completely fine with it; in fact, Anaika in particular seemed quite excited about it. If the higher ups were this trusting about the humans entering their territory, then there was no way that they could be THAT bad, right? Of course, there always was the worry that someone in Kiba would find out about it. If they found out about the humans, there would be a good chance that conflict would arise, and quickly.

These were the feelings that Polly had to conceal as hard as possible during the entire boat ride from and to the island. While she was honestly quite scared and stressed out, she needed to do her best to not let those feelings be visible toward the people on the boat, especially the trainers. After all, they were the guests of honor; she definitely did not want to make them feel unwelcome in the slightest. They all seemed like decent people, so she didn't have much of a reason to be nervous, but she couldn't help but worry about something going horribly wrong during their stay in Azoth.

When they got back to the island, Polly let out a small sigh of relief, knowing everything went fine so far. Once all the introductions were settled, she went about to do her own thing. On the inside, she was still shocked at the fact that she came face to face with a group of humans. Looking back on it, it was actually pretty exciting. What she was told were horrifying beings actually seemed like pretty alright people. She'd definitely have to talk to one of them and learn about them more sometime. For now, however, she was going to lay low, not quite sure what to do just yet.

Taima
AzrEnQm.jpg
Taima was kneeling in front of two mounds of earth, carefully placing fresh flowers on top of each. It was her usual routine that she made sure to do every day after she finished her tasks. Keeping the holy grounds clean was an important job and she was honoured to be able to do it. The white-haired girl put her hands together and closed her pale eyes. She sat there for a few minutes, lips moving as she mumbled her prayers. Although, they were more similar to a discussion with the deceased. Once done, she rose, bid her parents goodbye, and left the holy grounds.

She dusted off her clothes as she exited the area. She squinted against the sun. It must be near midday judging by how bright it was. After the dark of the holy grounds, outside was almost blinding. It was something she would never get used to. She usually left in the evening anyway, when the sun was already going down. But today was different. The whole village was buzzing with excitement and even Taima wasn't immune.

Humans were here. She had probably missed their arrival already, but she doubted she'd be able to show face there anyway. May had said that Drystan was going to help her escort the humans from the beach to the village. No, Taima most definiately would not be able to be their for the arrival. She had decided that as soon as May had mentioned it. The Togekiss shook herself when soemone waved in greeting to her. She managed a meek wave in return but her eyes were quickly stuck to her shoes.

Taima wanted to meet the humans, but she was concerned. Her past hadn't left the best impression of humans on her. She wasn't as extreme in her views as Kiba, but she wasn't fully confident with the alphas' choices. Obviously he trusted them, but the humans were... uncertain. Either way, she wanted to make herself useful. She knew one gijinka who could always use a hand when big events were happening. Taima hastily set about finding May.

Thankfully it didn't take her long. She spotted the Meinshao speaking with someone she wasn't familiar with. Had Mallory cut her hair? No, it was a male and far too tall for the other silver/white haired gijinka she knew. As she approached, she noticed this person was no gijinka, but a human. That caused her to freeze on the spot. Her feet were rooted to the ground and her eyes were wide.
"Oh, Taima, hello. I'm glad you were able to leave the holy grounds early today." May greeted as friednly as always. Taima was still stuck. "Taima, this is Ellis, one of the humans who have come to visit the island. Ellis, this is Taima, the keeper of our holy grounds and a good friend." May introduced them. Her head tilted as she looked at the Togekiss.
"Taima, are you alright? You look like a deerling in torchlight."

Alik

The young man was on edge and he couldn't tell why. Actually, he could tell exactly why. Azoth had been quiet. Far more quiet than usual. That was what he couldn't tell the reason of. He had his suspicions, his theories, but there was nothing solid. He hoped the scouts would come back with something that either eased his concerns or that explained the cause of it. Anything would be appreciated at this point. His thoughts had been rattling around violently for the past week. It was giving him a headache, which made him irritable. Alik cursed under his breath. If he stayed like this, he wouldn't be much use when the scouts finally got back.

A headache was a small thing, but it stopped him being able to think clearly. Thankfully, he could get it fixed. The Poochyena gijinka sighed and headed towards the healers' den. Like most of the buildings, it was fairly simple, made mostly of stone and wood with metal keeping it together. Alik knocked on the door, paused, and eneterd. He peered around, looking for the healer.
"Diana, sorry to bother." After his look around, he noticed there weren't any other patients at the moment. That was good. He didn't like his tribe mates getting hurt. "I have a headache, do you have anything to help?"

Lexi laughed sheepishly at Lucas' comment on her team. To her, she was so used to them all being eevee evolutions that she didn't even think about how weird it was. She was quickly distracted by his own team. He had far more variety than she did (not that she set the bar very high) and they all looked to be in good shape. The gijinka watched them all fascinated. The girl - who Lexi guessed was a furret by the stripes on her tail - seemed to catch herself. The gijinka quickly looked at all the pokemon, taking a mental note of what they were.
"I will return shortly. Please wait here." She said before dashing into a different room.

Lucas' question on her occupation caught her attention. "A breeder? Uhm... not quite. I specilise in eevees. I'm helping one of the pokemon professors study pokemon evolution and eevees being so unique in terms of evolution, well I guess I just got lucky." She smiled as Lola and her flareon rubbed up against her. Kexi loved her team and was greatful for having them.
"You have a good variety of pokemon. Are you doing the gym challenge?" She asked, watching as her Jolteon and Glaceon greeted the other trainer's pokemon. As always, her vaporeon was sitting away from everyone, looking down her nose. "Monu, why can't you at least try to be social." The pokemon scoffed.

Diana

Diana was just wondering if anyone was going to come visit today, if they didnt, she supposed, that would mean no one was getting hurt, which was a good thing, though it did get awfully lonely... But nonetheless she stayed home, cleaning and playing with her hair, drawing some sketches to kill the time once her chores were finished. There was a knock at the door and she smiled, some company at last. Though that means they were hurt.... so maybe not so good.

"Come in!" She declared, putting a jar back in a cabinet before going to the door. "Oh, Malik! Yeah i have something for you, sit right there won't you? i'll go get you some berry juice." She hurried to the back room, grabbing a jar full of berries and began grinding them. "Its a good thing it wasnt more serious, i was afraid that he was injured." She came back with the juice. "Here, drink this, you'll be feeling better in a few minutes. I wish it could work faster for you but thats about all i got, and my healing wont really work on headaches."

María Del Rosario
María noticed a green haired girl, one of the Gijinkas, who was on the boat with her. The girl seemed nervous, though María barely noticed due to her curiosity. She walked up to her and greeted her. “Greetings, madam, my name is María del Rosario, and I am glad to meet you. May I ask you any questions about this island?” She made sure to be polite, after all if she’s kicked off the island or banished into the wilderness or whatever this society does to troublemakers she could be in danger, and worse, not learn about these fascinating people.

(Interactions: SpookySableye SpookySableye . Also Egil is open to interaction if anyone wants to, but you don’t have to (: )

Cyndi happily wondered the village now that she had finished her job for the day. She walked around smiling and greeting the other villagers. Cyndi was elated to see everyone she met, bringing a smile to most people’s faces as she ran around making sure all her family was ok. A shadow moved from above her, she looked up to see a familiar shape. She ran to where he was landing, smiling and giggling “fiaro! Fiaro! How was your scouting mission? Did you have fun?” She asked as she approached the farrow gijinka.

Drystan and Suvinay:

With luck Drizo appeared before the two brothers to give his report. Suvinay found it satisfactory, but Drystan wasn't as convinced.

"You think or you know Kiba isn't aware?" Dystan asked. Suvinay gently hovered a hand over Drystan's chest to quieten him. Anaika and Suvinay were very aware of how Drystan came off and while they let him vent and rile himself up as much as he needed, they tried to spare as many gijinkas who didn't know him well enough of his brash behaviour.

"Thank you Drizo, you earned your rest." Suvinay said dismissing the scout. Once Drizo had left he dropped his hand and Drystan went off.

"He wasn't sure! We can't just be relaxed about this. If Kiba know and we don't we're just sitting ducks! Is that what you want Suvinay?" Drystan spat waving his arms in a wild gesture. He couldn't understand why everyone was trying to be so cheerful with Kiba so close by. Having the humans here may have some value and pleases Anaika greatly, but the amount of risks involved were far too much. Suvinay may have forgotten, but Drystan could still remember the stories from his father about the wars they experienced. Not just the passive aggressive ignoring of both tribes that was what it was today. Suvinay shook his head.

"Drizo did his job, Drystan. I understand your concern, but if something happens with Kiba we've prepared for it. If you are really concerned you are more than welcome to patrol the wall. Maybe the walk might do you some good." Suvinay suggested, a hopeful smile darting on his face as gently lay a hand on Drystan's shoulder in good nature. Drystan's nose crinkled and his mouth twitched in disgust like he had just taken a bite from a bitter root and was trying to hide his disgust. He couldn't think of anything to retort on.

"Whatever, but I still don't agree with how calm everyone is." He turned in a huff to leave. Formalities didn't exist when the Alpha was your brother.

"Where are you off to?" Suvinay called out having not moved from his spot and watching his fuming brother leaving in a huff.

"For a walk!" Drystan yelled back and made his way to the outskirts of the wall. Leaving the perfectly manicured village and finding his way into the thick vegetation of the forest took the edge of him slightly. The colder air and faint breeze loosened some of his more strained nerves and he took a deep sigh, ruffling a hand through his hair in agitation and letting it fall on one of his swords.

"Right." He whispered under his breath and started his quiet walk around the perimeter. If he did it a few times and was satisfied enough that there were no Gijinka scouts he could relax. But only just a bit.

Mallory:

Mallory smiled softly.

"Lovely to meet you Sayori." Looking down at her arm she could see it was quite a deep cut, much deeper then she thought it would be considering Sayori's demeanor. Luckily it wasn't deep enough that she couldn't heal it.

"Just take a seat over here and I'll be with you momentarily. I must just fetch one thing." Her words were soft and silky, similar to that of a stream on a cool spring morning. Finding her way to the back room and rummaging around she quickly found the plants she was looking for. Setting up the plants on the table near Sayori she gestured for her to stretch out her arm. She was just about to perform Aromatherapy when she realized this would possibly be an odd sight for a human.

"I promise this won't hurt at all. It's actually quite soothing." Many people found it hard to believe Mallory didn't have any fingers and rather grew up with bouquets for hands, but they were just as much her blessing as they were to some people an oddity. Closing her eyes and steadying her breathing she shook her bouquets to a steady, slow rhythm. A feint glow of reds, greens and blues enveloped the petals and fell gently to her arm. A sweet blossoming scent filled the air and right before her eyes the blood quickly began to clot and form a scab. The scab itself began to heal until there was nothing more than a red scar. Opening her eyes again she was very pleased with her result. Reaching over for the moss and a large leaf she efficently bound and tied a makeshift band-aid around her arm.

"The scar should disappear hopefully within a day, but keep this on. You can come again tomorrow and if it hasn't gone I'll give you a new leaf." She advised. Usually this would be the point she would get up to leave, but not wanting to seem rude to her guest she decided to wait for just a little longer and talk with her. See how she was doing.

"Besides the scar I hope everything has been alright here. And if it's alright that I ask do all your kind lack power? How do you protect yourself or heal if that's the case?"

Ellis Clark:
Ellis immediately jumped at the chance.

"That's alright. I can offer my help is that's alright with you?" He offered. If she wanted him to do something that was even better for him. He could preoccupy himself with a few activities until they could explore by themselves in the forest. Most importantly he wouldn't have to speak to anyone. It was almost too good to be true until May suddenly appeared to recognize someone. Turning to the direction she was looking at much to his fear was another gijinka. Her colouring and appearance seemed oddly familiar. It didn't take him long to see which Pokemon she was. Or hear.

With an excited squeal Annie dug her way to the top of his back and met eyes with the gijinka. Squeaking happily she managed to find her way out of the bag and before He could react she was waddling her way to Taima. Annie leaped happily with her small arms to be picked up all the while yipping with excitement. His protective nature overtook his fear for the unknown and with quick haste he rushed towards his togepi.

"Annie careful you could've gotten hurt he said." Kneeling down to the small pokemon. Annie turned around and saw him motioning for her to come into his arms. Taking one last look at the Togekiss gijinka she wobbled her way to Ellis. Wrapping her in a tight embrace he looked her in the eyes.

"If you want to explore just ask me next time okay?" He scolded gently. Annie stared at him oblivious to her wrongdoings, but immediately chirped back giddily. Squirming in his arms she turned to face the gijinka and waved to her. Ellis looked up at the gijinka he was previously ignoring unable to meet her gaze. He wasn't sure what she was like and now he was in a predicament he'd specifically been ignoring. Giving himself an internal pep talk he looked up at her to meet her gaze.

"Hello." He said coolly, or at least hoping that was how it came off since he felt more awkward than anything.

Her eyes were wide when the she saw the pokemon's hands, she didn't have any! I suppose that means shes a little like a roselia. "Nice to meet you too Mallory." She said, watching her as she walked away for the moment. Her voice was rather pleasant to listen too as well, it reminded her of running water. She was promised this wouldn't hurt. "Alright." She nodded as her wound was already starting to heal.

"Wow..." Sayori gawked, these people really were amazing. As the leaf was applied she couldn't help but the soothing pressure it provided. "Thank you very much! It feels completely healed already.." She flexed her hand and arm once or twice to feel it out.

Once Mallory had questioned her she brightened, and happily brought out a pokeball. "C'mon out Yldiena." She said, throwing the pokeball as her best friend came out.

"Hi Sayori! Oh we're here!" The shiny sylveon said, prancing around, surprisingly gracefully for her lack of a leg.

Nickel

So, yes and yes, but acknowledging the asterisk. Technically, all they knew for sure was that Azoth was sneaking in foreigners. Of course, unless they had managed to discover another lost gijinka civilization off island, which was extremely unlikely, or were gathering a bunch of water-type hermits or other neutral gijinka that had hardly been on the island, which was almost as unlikely and wouldn't justify them getting this defensive, humans were the most logical answer. Still, as Noah mentioned, as obvious as it seemed, it was still technically conjecture, and their job to find the facts, so they'd have to be careful reporting on that. It was always refreshing to be around those that didn't need stuff like this explained to them step-by-step. With that, NIckel responded with a smile, "Good answer," and begun to move away.

Quickly and quietly, except when Noah sensed something, then it was low and slow. Once again, this wooded area would great for Nickel to fight in, but also blocked vision. Good for not being seen, but not for seeing, so he still had to rely on Noah for early detection. Not only was he a skilled scout, but that was further boosted by his species specialization in sound. The slightest sound from his partner, and Nickel would go into hiding. Still and silent, until the threat had passed and he got the okay to move. His humanoid side was more important to hide than his horn. Not only was the jaw dark in color, but the inexperienced were more likely to not recognize it. It was amusing when it happened, but it was not something they could afford here.

The good news was that Nickel viewed sneaking in as much harder than sneaking out. They had proved they could make through once, they had gotten what they needed, and things would only get easier the farther they got. Obviously, they couldn't assume it was over, but the mission at this point was simply to successfully run away. Stealth was preferred for several obvious reasons, but being spotted just meant they the faster and louder. The biggest problem was that Nickel was slow, and that slowed down his partner. To balance that out, they both knew a couple of tricks for getting people off their backs, not that was any guarantee. It was still stressful.

Anyway, back to the new discovery. Why would the Azoth be willing to stir up the hive by bringing humans here and now? The only way this made any sense to him is if they were looking for allies. They were attempting to manipulate the humans. This whole situation was being more sensitive by the moment. Was there any action Kiba could take that wouldn't inadvertently assist Azoth in some way? Nickel was ready to start whispering his predictions and ideas, when he received a warning. As such, he ducked behind the nearest and thickest bit of brush he could see and waited...

He really hated scouting this far.

Drizo tilted his head as their general had responded quite negatively to his report but was quickly stopped by Suvinay. Drizo had been more than willing to respond - there was a reason why he was going to go out later. To make sure that nothing happens within the borders. With only a few scouts on duty, they can never be too sure that none of the Kiba members spotted them. There was always the small chance that he didn't see which would be disastrous to their cause, yes, and he would be willing to shoulder the blame for it.

Nevertheless, as he was dismissed, he had left with a small nod. Looked like he would need to go on his second round sooner rather than later if he wanted to avoid getting scolded far more than this. Still, he needed his rest. Too much flying would not be good for him it he wanted to have enough energy to fend for himself should any of the gijinka and pokemon turn hostile around him. He mostly worked alone too so that was a disaster waiting to happen.

Everyone was busy though. Everywhere was busy. There was no room for peace and quiet where he could hopefully take a nap. But of course, as life would have it, he wouldn't find such a spot easily. He had managed to avoid direct confrontation with the humans. While he didn't stay away from them, he would much rather rest rather than have to show them around. He gave them friendly nods and smiles, however, so that they felt welcome whenever they made eye contact with him.

Spotting Egil not quite interacting with everyone else, he walked up to him and gave him a wave. "Not going to meet up with the humans like the others?" He knew that the ex-Kiba member might have his doubts about the humans. After all, they were raised with the particular mindset that humans couldn't change from their ways before. It was not a baseless fear - but it also restricted them to the old ways. But Drizo wasn't here to judge, he was here to wind down.

Fiero entered the Kiba territory with no resistance from the members. They liked him well enough though they still were wary of his presence. He could accept that. He only ever came around to play or to trade. There wasn't much he could offer that they didn't have. It was unfortunate but such was the life of being tribeless. He had long since accepted that.

He was quite shocked when he was called out and he looked down to see Cyndi - a kid. Kids typically appreciate him more than adults, that's for sure. Fiero grinned at her. "I told you, I'm not part of your tribe." He let out a hearty chuckle. "But I did have fun outside. I'd have you come with me but your alpha will have my head if I take you out." Fiero gave her a small shrug as he lowered himself down to her level. "So, what were you up to?"

Lucas Hayes
As the gijinka left the room to get some food, Lucas and Lexi began a bit of small talk about each other. He listened as she talked about her occupation as an eevee specialist and helper for an evolution professor. “Oh, that’s cool!” Lucas chimed, “Actually, I’m a helper for a pokemon professor as well. However, my focus is more so on Pokemon ecology; y’know, like how pokemon live in their natural habitats. Things like that.” Honestly, it was pretty cool for Lucas to meet someone that was in a similar line of work as him. While he definitely did like battling, he was a big fan of the research side of the spectrum as well. Granted, it was a different research focus than his, but still, they both worked for professors, and that was pretty cool.

Lucas was then commented about his team variety, and whether or not he was doing the gym challenge. “Thanks! and yeah, and I have my eight gym badges too.” He answered happily, then proceeded to take out his badge case and show off said gym badges. It was funny to think about how several years ago, he had no gym badges, and now he has all eight. Heh, time sure does fly, doesn't it...? "I'm doing a bit more stuff related to research at the moment, but yeah let's just say I've been doing a lot of battling as well." In response to that comment, Lucas's heracross, Goliath, let out a rather excited and confident buzzing sound, then went back to hanging around near Lexi's Jolteon.

Noah
Noah nodded when Nickel claimed his answer was good. To be honest, he had no clue as to why Azoth would think it’s a good idea to bring humans onto the island. Well, he did think of a couple short theories, such as wanting to use them in a possible battle between the tribes, but decided not to think about them too heavily when their main goal at the moment was to escape back into Kiba territory. Noah was thankful that him and Nickel found such potentially vital information about Azoth without being spotted, and he wanted to keep it that way. Because of that, Noah remained on guard as him and Nickel walked through the forest. While getting out was easier than getting in, it was by no means a reason to relax and take it easy.

Thankfully since he was on guard, he ended up hearing something very slight. While it was quiet, it sounded a lot like someone walking. Wait a minute... And with that, Noah shot Nickel a warning look, and immediately hid in the brush, waiting silently for whatever it was that he heard to reveal itself... or not. Nickel did the same, except behind a different part of the brush. Whatever or whoever it was Noah heard, he hoped they’d go farther and farther away from where they were at the moment, or at the very least not notice him and Nickel's presence. After all, it would be a bit harder to escape if they were noticed by someone, specifically someone from Azoth. If they did end up having to fight, it wouldn't be the end of the world, as him and Nickel complimented each other very well on the battlefield, as they both specialized in different fighting styles and countered one another's' weaknesses. However, Noah would rather it not come to that, as his goal was for him and Nickel to get back safely and let Emrik know about the potential humans that Azoth has hidden behind their walls.

Polina
While Polly was a bit zoned out, thinking about possibly buying some more food. However, that zoning out was broken when someone decided to approach her. She flinched a little, not anticipating someone to come up to her so soon, and when she looked over, it turned out it was one of the humans from the boat, specifically the girl with blonde hair and glasses. After finding that out, Polly took a more bright tone to cover up her nervousness. "Oh, hey!" She greeted, looking a bit more cheery despite being surprised and anxious earlier, "I'm Polina, but you can just call me Polly." Upon listening to the girl, whose was named Maria, it seemed she was curious if she could ask any questions to her relating to the island of Henshu. "Sure! I don't mind that at all." Polina answered. She felt a bit more at ease since Maria seemed a like a decent person.. Besides, since this is a human she is talking to, she could use this opportunity to learn more about them as well, and maybe learn about what it is like outside the island. "So, what questions do you have at the moment?"

The girl smiled excitedly. It was great to meet another person studying pokemon. She supposed that would be more likely considering the curious and explorative were invited to the island. Even so, Lucas was an interesting fellow. Even if they worked in different field, pokemon was a common ground that brought so many different individuals together. As Lucas brought out his badge collection, she looked in awe at the collection of shiny baubles.
"That's very impressive. I've only faught a handful of gyms myself, and beaten even less." After digging around her bag, she found a case similar to Lucas'. It, however, didn't have specific indents for the different badges. If one knew their badges, they could see that only two were from the same region. The other 3 came from various other places.

The gijinka returned, cutting the rest of their conversation short. She was balancing multiple bowls in her arms. No easy feat, but she seemed to be managing. She made a coo in the back of her throat that all the pokemon seemed to react to, turning their attention to the gijinka. She placed the various bowls on the floor. They each contained fresh food suited for the different pokemon. It was impressive to say the least. It would be the sort of food pokemon would eat in the wild. All of Lexi's team happily dug in, only her flareon being cautious about moving to its respective food bowl.
"Thank you so much. We really appreciate your help. If I can return the favour in any way, please let me know." Lexi said with a smile. She would feel bad if they came to this gijinka every meal time for their many pokemon.

The gijinka looked surprised by Lexi's offer. "Oh, it's alright. You humans aren't allowed outside the walls until-" She seemed to catch herself. "Until the alphas say so. Maybe then I can take you gathering." She managed to cover. "I'm happy to help any pokemon I can. They're much easier to deal with than the children." She gave a small chuckle.

Taima & May

May smiled at the boy's eagerness to assist her. "Of course, I would appreciate that greatly. But please, if you tire, let me know. I do not want to push you past your limits. I believe humans and gijinka have different stamina." Both the gijinka's eyes widened as the togepi made its apperance. They weren't seen on the island, so it was the first time either had seen the pokemon. They watched the scene play out, May with a look of amusement on her face, Taima with worry.

"I-I'm sorry. I'll g-go. I d-don't w-want to be a b-bother." Taima spoke, voice barely audible. She took a timid step back. May rolled her eyes and sighed.
"Come now, Taima. No harm was done. The togepi is fine and so is our guest." May placed a calming hand on Taima's soulder. The smaller gijinka yelped in surprise and jumped a good foot in the air. She seemed to float down a lot faster than gravity usually would make one fall. She placed a hand on her chest and attempted to calm her breathing.

"Ellis, don't be mad at your pokemon friend. It always happens near gijinka. Pokemon were share traits with are drawn to us as we are to them. If there were meinshao nearby, they would have the same reaction with me as your togepi did for Taima." At mention of her name, Taima shrunk further into herself. But she did give a small wave back to the pokemon. Since she had never come across a pokemon like her before, she had never felt the pull. It was like an instant friendship was formed. She trusted this little pokemon.

May clapped her hands. "We're wasting daylight just standing here. Shall we get going?" Rhetorical question aside, she began heading towards the area where the banquet would be held. "Taima, I coould use your help to if you're up to it. Mr. Red is busy so you don't need to worry about running into him." The comment was acompanied by a sly grin. The Togekiss gijinka flushed bright red and sputtered. She quickly dropped her head and stared at her feet as she followed.

The poochyena sat where he was instructed to and quietly watched the healer dash around. It was somewhat amusing. She always seemed over her head, but she had prooved herself a capable healer.
"That's quite alright Diana. It's nothing serious. It's best you save your abilities in case someone needs it." He responded as he took the drink from the umbreon. He chugged the drink, pulling a face at the tasten once he had swallowed. He didn't do well with bitter foods, but he tried not to let it show. With that done, he wasn't sure what to do next. There was still no word of the scouts getting back, and being left to his own thoughts only ended in headaches.
"Is there anything you need Diana? It's been a while since our last tribal meeting and I haven't seen you have a meeting with Emrik for quite some time. Do you have everything you need?" He hoped that she had some sort of task for him to do, or at least some jabber to distract him.

Diana

She smiled as she had another happy customer, though she noticed his sour face as he drank the potion. "sorry about that... Sadly only bitter berries can do anything about headaches, the sweet ones generally are more helpful for actual more serious injuries, which I suppose is helpful since wounded people don't like drinking stuff they don't like, though I suppose you don't either... Either way sorry about the taste."
She spoke quickly, clearly rambling as her people skills weren't very developed, and she was nervous talking to the alphas brother. "um... Well..hmm... I need to grab some berries from my garden, though I don't need the help, not that it wouldn't be welcome sir, but it seems a little menial, just picking berries, when I'm sure you could be doing something much more important.." She pulled her hair nervously, knowing she wasn't really making a good impression on Alik.
