Asura watched the speech next to Esana(@Demonic Angel ). He thought the speech was very brief and wasn't that inspiring. To him it seemed they were gathering players for slaughter because they lack any real strategy. He noticed many players looked at him when the spokeman said to form parties. He had been with many parties over the course of the month so it was natural. But now he stood and said "Sorry but this one I'm gonna do with my fulltime partner, though stay safe i'm counting on you all as much as you count on me." The players cheered raising their weapons then went to the task of forming parties. He sat down and said to Esana "That speech was crap. But I can't just let these guys go to their deaths, i've got to help them. They'll likely give up half way through the battle and just accept death. That's were we come in, it's time to find out who's serious from who's not. Sorry I ramble on so how are those enchantments I did for you, good or nah?"
you can actually add one more point to the basics. Because I'm not exactly sure what all of those enchantments are, please explain in the OOC. And future reference, always ask about enchantments BEFORE you RP with them. It was in the rules after all.

Ban hummed as he thought. After a moment he turned to Alex who he now regards as a friend with a impish smile. "Let's cause some mischief. The boss won't know what hit him."

Vick shook his head, the feathers on his shoulders ruffling slightly in the breeze. "This won't end in anything but needless slaughter. There isn't any kind of decent advantage to be had from rushing the boss all at once without some sort of plan, and even if there was one we don't know anything about how this thing moves or attacks. It's pointless, but it's the only thing we've got it seems like." Vick said quietly to a group of rogues that gathered near him. A few muttered their agreement, but most of them stayed relatively silent, all clad in various dark colors and patterns that described what sort of traps and tactics they used in a symbolic language a few of the rogues in the game developed and spread around. "Like you said, Vick, this is what we've got to work with. There's hardly any room for a proper trap spread, and any virulent poisons are just right out with how tight we'll be grouped. We're all gonna die fighting this thing, and they'll never catch the guy who made this game in the first place." A man clad in an enormous hyena skin robe replied, shaking his head sadly. Again, a few of the rogues muttered agreement but most were silent.

It was around then that Vick saw a familiar figure hurrying away from the gathering of fighters in the ring, and he made up his mind to take a chance. "I'll see you in forty five, ladies and gents. I expect to see traps lined up for group inspection, and poisons laid out and labelled. No virulents or anything that would take longer than an hour to do its work, and for the sake of the poor saps who don't have exit plans I want the area of effect on these traps to be as tight as possible, got it? If there is so much as a chance we'd be at fault for someone's death I will deal with you all myself and remake every trap here by hand." Vick said darkly, pointing at each of the other rogues in turn and heading towards the retreating man clad entirely in black. The band of rogues dispersed just as quickly and made their way to their own groups, acting as if there wasn't any other place they should be. A quick use of Sundowner and some rather large but unhurried strides later, Vick fell in step with Leo and took it upon himself to strike up a conversation. "Leo, my man! I haven't seen you in, what, two weeks? You just up and disappear on a guy like you did, makes him think you don't wanna hang out or anything. Well, regardless of that business, what do you think of this plan they've got down there? Almost seems like they're counting on us to just rush the thing to death, and just let whoever's left alive join up in their party and take the next boss down, yeah?" Vick said happily, the feathers on his collar rustling as he moved along with his companion.

Leo looked as Vic with a black expression and looked back forward again. He had been deep in thought, trying to decide what the best tactic would be during the boss fight. "I told you I work better alone. Disappearing is what I'm good at. And they don't even have a plan. It's all too rushed. There's no tactical thinking involved. Hopefully people will spend the next hour coordinating with people." He pulled out his sword and examined its enchantments. He should get a better offense enchantment soon. "You know, part of the reason I ditched you was because you know what you're doing. You were clueless at first, and a month into the game you're the leader of a rogue clan. You have a team that works for you. I'm not sure I'll ever find that."

"We still have an hour left" Alex said. "We should work out some sort of stratagie. My kinetic magic should be of some use to us. What all do we have to fight with?"

(So sorry I haven't been getting alerts on this till now) @SekiryuuteiDxD

Esâna smiled

"yea it did good, plus I have to agree that speech was the worst" Esâna looked at each players trying to determine who would rather fishing their days away and who wants to be here.. She frowned and sighed.

"They do need help looks like most of them don't want to be here..." She thought about for awhile

"Couldn't we go find people who actually want to do this?" She looked over at her partner, Asura seeing if he had any idea what so ever on what to do about this.

Vick chuckled and shook his head. "Me, leader of a clan? Hardly. We're all just individuals of the same class who meet once a day to..." He laughed loudly and slapped his knee with one hand, not breaking his stride. "I knew I'd never be able to get through that with a straight face. Seriously though, we're just a bunch of people that meet once a day to make ourselves the best we can be. I'm not the only one who has this sort of thing going on, you know. There's other clans that were here today as well. Hard to spot some of them, but we met before this and swapped news about the different towns and regions. I've got gossip like you wouldn't believe, my friend." Vick sighed and shook his head, staring critically at Leo. "You know, I still don't understand this whole 'loner chic' thing you've got going on. We're all in this together, and I'd hate for something to happen to you just because you've got some trouble finding a team that works with you. I mean, come on. If you didn't at least show me the ropes like you did, I'd probably be six feet under right now. Just do me a favor and stay safe, alright? I've got a bad feeling about this boss we dug up, and I don't know how many people are gonna die taking this thing down. Try not to be one of them, yeah?"

Vick stopped in his tracks, watching Leo walk away with a critical eye. "And if you're ever looking for someone to pair up with and run some quests, just look for a tavern and tell them you're looking for me. Word gets around quick in this place." He called after Leo, turning sharply on his heel and returning a growing cluster of other clan leaders staring at him. "What? He's a friend of mine. Don't give me that look, Kathy, I saw you drinking with some scouts the other day. We're all stuck here, might as well drop this whole 'class supremacy' act right now. Ain't gonna get nothing done if we go around like that." He snapped, crossing his arms over his chest and joining the cluster of rogues muttering about tactics and rumored boss attacks.

"The only thing we can do is protect the ones we can. I can tell already, there will be casualties in the next fight. This is what fighting on the front lines is like."Asura replied. He looked around and saw the level numbers of the other players. "I see mostly five and fours and some sixes. Good thing is that no threes or below are here can say that." Asura concluded.

Leo listened to Vic's words, but kept moving. Moving was physically seemed to keep him going mentally. He didn't really expect Vic to understand what it was like to be a solo player. Only certain people ever did. For the next 53 minutes he wandered aimlessly before returning to the arena. They same guy made another speech and some people cheered like it was a battle cry. Leo just pulled his hood up and started moving when everyone else did. After an hour of walking a pair of large trap doors sat in front of everyone. The person in front pushed them open and instead of opening like normal doors they fell into the ground and created stairs. Everyone flooded down with an air of caution.

There was a dark room at the bottom. Flames automatically lit up on the walls to reveal what resembled a minotaur with boar features as opposed to bull ones. He wielded a large mace. Some people charged, but others remained in their groups and quickly discussed tactics. Others still went in for a fight, but were coordinated with each other. Leo made a slash with liquid shadow. An inky substance emerged from his sword and splashed into the boss. It delt little damage, but it was slowed. He then stuck to the walls for a bit before nimbly running in and making strategic strikes.

-----

Alex ran in, but slowed to make a few observations. She saw some higher level boars (she didn't even know those existed) spawning in and chased after them. She thought this was the best way she could help. It would be the stupidest thing if someone died because boar rammed into them.

Ban yawned lazily walking in after Alex. He lazily swung his sword as he observed the scene. He wasn't in any hurry he knew rushing in blindly would do more bad than good. He frowned seeing Alex rush after what seemed to be some high level boars. She shouldnt go fight them alone. Shrugging he followed her.

Asura stepped out front of all the grouped players seeing no one was taking command in this situaution. He drew both of his twin katana and activated Lightning Stream and Photon Ride. His blades crackled with lightning and his feet had a glow to them. He looked to Esana(@Demonic Angel ) and said "Ready?" It was a rhetorical question though. He yelled to the groups "Ok divide with a good amount of space between you. I want the groups to form one huge circle. Solo players and duos attack and keep this thing off balance while the groups get into position. Trios take out the minions." He dashed at the boss only a blur to everyone, the blur would seem to run all over the boss then jump back and solidify into Asura again. A bunch of red cut marks appeared all over the boss one Asura stood still. It quite the amount of damage but Asura needed to wait and watch how the boss reacts to such things.

(You're only level 6 (if I remember right). No video game will grant you that much power that soon. You won't go that fast with it maxed out)

No one payed any attention to Asura's commands. Not surprising seeing as they were mostly teens. He had made a fair amount of damage, but Leo was constantly chopping away. The boss was constantly swinging at him and then Asura, and then some other random guy. It seemed that it was attacking whoever was causing the most damage. With a rough plan in his head, Leo jumped up and mad a deep and long slash down its back. When it turned around to face Leo, everyone charged it. It was almost dead when it blew everyone back with some sort of magic. Rock then started to encase it like armor.

Esâna smiled at how no one listened (before it looked at Leo)

"Typical.." She laughed it off, stood up then equipped her dual Chakrams. Esâna then looked around seeing everyone who was fighting already, she decided to try go from Behind so she ran behind the monster, jumped in the air and twirled side ways at it causing a rapid diagonal continuos red slash mark appear. It cause a amount of damage to help but not much otherwise. Esâna gritted her teeth and began to make continuos attacks while trying not to alarm it otherwise she be gone, for the con of a chakram is it is extremely close combat.

"We've got problems. This is not going to work well at all, Vick. We need to pour any firepower we've got into this and hope for the best." A woman grunted, throwing daggers at the boss and dodging flying bodies of other players. "And I'm telling you that we need to keep this thing off balance. Throw traps and only use poisons when you have a clear opening. This is going to go down tonight if we have to pile on it like ants and stab at it." Vick replied quickly, picking a trap from his belt and using Sundowner to put it under the boss, causing a tiny amount of damage but stacking Leo's slow effect on the boss. The other rogues had spread out and threw traps and other weapons at the boss, chipping at its health slowly but consistently. Asura's attempts to herd the other players made Vick smile in spite of the seriousness of the situation at hand, and even a few of the other rogues laughed a bit before tossing a few poisoned daggers at the boars charging into the crowd.

The monster's wild swings at Leo and Asura surprised Vick, as he expected the beast to follow a more consistent attack pattern but he shook it off, tossing a few traps at the beast and sneaking in close to chip away at it with his sword. "Ay! Leo! You ain't gutted or dismembered, are you? I'd hate to have to scrape a friend off the floor tonight!" Vick yelled, popping the top off of a phial of poison and pouring it on his blade. When it made contact with the boss it fizzled slightly and slowly ate at the armor near where it hit, but otherwise only did a tiny amount of damage on top of the sword.

"Don't worry" Leo shouted back. "If I died I would disintegrate into code. No scraping involved." A bit of Leo's dark humor was showing through, but at least it was something. "Just give me some space. I'll try to wear down its shields!" Leo jumped on the boss and ran over it to the best of his abilities. He soon fell, but got some good slashes in. Midnight Eclipse was also helping wear down it magic usage. He had taken enough hits that he was in the red zone for health and backed up. As the mob hacked away at it, the rocks finally fell off of the beast. It was facing away from Leo and he took his chance. Using the slight curve of the blade to his advantage, he jumped in the air and spun around an axis. His blade made several repeated slices in the boss neck. Without warning it disintegrated into blue code and two items appeared in his inventory. It was finally over, but were the sacrifices worth it?

Ban panted as the last of the boars fell. Standing from his crowch he turned to look at Alex."We should head back and see how the others are doing. Make sure that they all haven't been killed!"

"The boars have stopped spawning, so my guess is someone beat the boss" Alex said. She walked into the other room and was right. Despite their first real step forward, it was quiet in the room. Judging from a few of the stares, she found who had defeated the boss. He looked nervous with all of these people watching him, and he started walking away. People just moved out of the way and let him go. A few people started shouting at him. A few congratulating him and others calling him a coward and blaming him for the deaths of their fallen companions.

"Shut up!" Ban shouted glaring at the ones that had started blaming the boy and insulting him. They shrunk back from his glare as he leaned back against the cave wall."Is this how you treat the people that save you? If that's the case you don't deserve to be saved. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Your comrades were killed by the boss not by him. He just made sure you didn't join them. Get over yourselves."

"Hmph there was no need to drag those useless other players here, Now I know not to team up with mediocre fighter like them." Asura commented about those who refused to follow orders. Then Asura heard them blaming Leo and stepped out. He said "You know what you mediocre excuses for frontliners shut up, blame yourselves for the deaths of your comrades, all you all did was stay back and watch your friends die only a hand full of us really fought. Those who didn't are mediocre and should hold their tongues." Asura then dashed to Esana's side, he commented "That didn't take long, saw it got you pretty good after you got it with that combo. You took 1 for the team I guess which is ironic." He smiled at her.

(Wait what) Esâna frowned

"How's that ironic? " she said tilting her head at him in confusion till she just shook it of, smiling when she said

" you and everyone elde did a great job most of them worked together" she looked at her health bar seeing it was close to red causing her to cringe slightly. She un equipped her Chakrams and began to look through her inventory just in case she missed something.

Leo walked out of the boss's cave and looked around. The sun just set over the horizon, plunging the world into the dark of night. He contemplated disappearing again. No one would know where he went and he would have his alone time. However, it was dark and he needed rest. He decided to just suck it up and o back to town. In the morning he would run off again. With a plan in his mind, he headed off towards the town.

"Frankly, I'm ashamed of you all. Leo is the only one that actually stepped up and did anything, and you go and start blaming him for other people not paying attention enough to get out of the way." Vick snapped over his shoulder, leading a loose group of other rogues out of the cave and back towards the town. "You ought to know better than that since we're, you know, supposedly the best class if some of you are to be believed. You all have night watch until I say otherwise, and if I find out even one of you still talks bad about the person who made it possible for us to even be going to town right now, I swear on your life I'll kick you into next week and leave you for the gnolls. Am I understood." Vick continued, stopping suddenly and glaring at a handful of shamefaced rogues. They all muttered their agreement and refused to make eye contact. "Good. I'm going to leave you all for now. I don't know how long until I'm back. Report to Kathy until I return and don't think I won't know what you've been doing and saying. I've got eyes and ears everywhere and you would do good to remember that." Vick finished, turning on his heel and setting off towards Leo, sticking to the shadows as best as he could manage in the circumstances while the other rogues mumbled and made their slow way towards the tavern.

Leo walked right into the town and headed towards his hotel. A bit before he go there, however, he turned into an ally. He stopped in the middle and turned around. "I know your there, Vic" he said. "I've spent just as much time in the shadows as any rogue. You don't have to follow me. However, while you're here I can show you something. After the boss died two things appeared in my inventory. One is an unopened package, but the other is a message from the creator. Wana see it?"

-----

"Come on Ban" Alex said. "No use hanging around here anymore. Lets just get some rest." Alex started walking out of the boss chamber with some others.

@Demonic Angel

Asura pulled out an hp potion and offered it to Esana.

"It's Ironic because when I first met you, you seemed to not like teams all that much." Asura explained. "When we get back to town I plan to go buy some stuff. It would seem that scramble with the boss allowed me to level up so that's a score for sure. Ready?" Asura exclaimed.

Esâna looked at him then the potion.

" thank you." She took the potion and drank it. When she was done she looked at him and said.

"Back then I had no one I was actually comfortable around...so I kinda wanted to run off, not anymore now I know people more than before which made me more of a team player" Esâna explained trying to make sense even though that's a quirk of hers.. She then closed out of her inventory, and smiled.

"Yep"

"Man, nothing gets past you, does it Leo? Can't pull the wool over your eyes at all." Vick sighed, stepping out of the shadows and looping his thumbs over his belt. "You did good back there, man. Lord knows I wouldn't be able to get in there and do that sort of thing. We'd all still be there getting him caught in traps and keeping him slowed if it wasn't for you. Other people just don't want to admit they wouldn't have gotten it down themselves." Vick shook his head and leaned against one of the walls in the alley. "Let's see this note, then. I'd ask what's in the box, but that's a bit too "Se7en"-esque for me. That and I don't really care. Ain't my box, ain't my problem." He shrugged and glanced down at the entrance to the alley, watching the stream of people gradually thicken and disperse as they made their way to wherever they were staying for the night. "Besides, I get a feeling whatever is on that that note would be much more useful in the long run for someone like me than whatever else dropped from that big nuisance. Not too keen on killing a thing and then finding out all that work was for like, seven credits or something, ya dig?" Vick sighed again and switched to staring straight ahead at the wall in front of him. "I miss cigarettes. That's what I want right now more than anything. I guess it's good that I quit though, even if it wasn't intentional."
