Previous feelings of helplessness and shame continued to bloom within her, making her chest ache as she laid upon the Demon's shoulder. Maeve was a direct foil of the demoness on the other shoulder, laying there like a dead fish. Maybe if she remained pliant, she could leave this terrible situation quickly. Most would be thankful for the goodwill of complete strangers, since she was in such a precarious position, but, all she could feel was embarrassment. In the middle of a public walkway, and still unable to defend herself. All of those combative classes in university she zoned out on were taunting her now as she watched the brick road below, moving as the Pirate continued to saunter away.

Suddenly, at once, Maeve's body spun off the Demon's shoulder, making her let out a gasp as her back hit solid ground. The fairy grunted, hitting her chest a couple of times to help herself catch her breath again. “Fine Fine, but I’m keeping the alcohol" Picking herself back up, violet eyes watched as the idiotic man downed the potion he claimed was alcohol.

"If potions were what you sought, you should've simply asked." Maeve muttered to herself, dusting her cloak off and pulling up her hood so that she remained mostly concealed to the strangers passing by her. Her voice was drowned out by Anise's fit of rage, unintelligible curses most-likely falling upon deaf ears. Maeve then peered over to Olfa and the shop-keep. Her name was Silva, if she overheard correctly..

"I'm sorry you had to go through that Maeve." Anise's empathetic comment brought Maeve's gaze back to the half-demoness, who now seemed much calmer. The fairy smiled as Anise continued, though it didn't quite reach her eyes. Once Anise finished, and gave her thanks to Olfa, Maeve decided to speak up.

"Yes, thank you again, Olfa. Apologies for the inconvenience.." Her voice was tired, mirroring her physical exhaustion after not sleeping the night prior. "I can repay you all, actually.." The naive girl began to dig into the coin purse that hung on her belt, ignoring the fact that the pirate was still among the group. "How much is fair for these kinds of services.. ah, damn, I've never had to pay for protection before.." She continued to mutter to herself, brows furrowed in concentration, before she hastily handed huge fistfuls of gold coin to Olfa, Anise, and Silva. It was a hefty sum of her earnings from the bakery, but she knew she could earn it back. Having no money at all would feel better than the gnawing feeling of uselessness.

Taking a deep breathe, Maeve continued,
"Olfa, as much as I am thankful for your offer, I think it would be best for me to leave this place. There's nothing left for me here." Her words were somber, but her tone was steadfast as she looked up at the friendly bear.

Kiara Solarius

__siege_arknights_drawn_by_tab_head__sample-b1d28c38a9bdbc80be693c322dfa50be.jpg

Kiara hummed happily as they walked along to the bath house. That lollipop of hers switched from cheek to cheek while listening to Toshi answer her inquiries. A sly grin formed to tug at her lips the more he described his ‘hunting’ tactics or rather lack of. That smirk slowly faded into something much more coy or embarrassed when he counter asked if she could cook at all. That was definitely not her forte. Just as she was about to pick fun at him it suddenly seemed like a terrible idea since in turn he could easily flip the tables on her and joke about her inability to cook.

“ I uh… I’m not entirely the best in that department. I’ve set many things on fire… and burnt them to a crisp. “ She admitted bashfully as her hand moved to the back of her neck and rubbed at it. Those cheeks of hers had flushed just the slightest so she turned her head inconspicuously as if eyeing something of interest in a different direction to hide them. “ Howeverrrrrrrr, I am fantastic at hunting so maybe we can work together with that. I catch the things, you cook ‘em. What do ya say? “ She nudged him the slightest. As they rounded a corner their destination came into view and Kiara all but tugged him towards it in haste. The steam of the hot pools was already calling her name.

The two burst through the door, soaking and dripping from the rain and literally looking like something the cat dragged. Kiara’s gaze fell on the receptionist first. Her attention was soon captured by a towering man to whom she scooted towards and looked up at with eyes that glimmered with curiosity. Wooo, he was something. Not in a bad way though. Truly she was impressed. Turning back towards the lady, Kiara began to speak to her. “ Hey, lady! We’ll take one of your finest baths. The whole package. Thanks kindly. " She flashed the woman a canine filled smile that spread from ear to ear, coin pouch jingling as extra incentive, before she blinked over at the elephant in the room. " There’s plenty of space if you’d like to join us. “ Totally ignoring the man’s inhuman height and the fact that he’d probably take up a large portion of the bath itself, Kiara grinned up at him. He certainly gave off the air of someone who was new to this type of establishment. Granted she didn't give off that 'frequent visitor' vibe either.

He’s never been to one of these either. “ She whispered a little more discreetly, throwing a thumb over in Toshiro’s direction. “ But he really needs it. “ Ki tacked on with a kinder smile. It sounded less of an insult than all the previous times she’d stated he was extra stinky.

The woman staring at them as if they were aliens, mostly the skyscraper of the man whom had entered first, motioned towards one of the hallways and began leading them to one of the baths. It was luxurious. It looked like something out in nature. Secluded. There was a small waterfall pouring into the heated waters. It was surrounded in stones that were barely visible through the blanket of mist that was dancing atop the waters. A simple basket was by the side of the waters, safely out of reach of getting wet. It carried an array of colorful soaps of varying sizes and shapes. Kiara exhaled in utter glee, already feeling relaxed just by standing in the vicinity.

Race you! “ She called out in challenge whilst her clothes began to be hurriedly stripped off and discarded messily upon the floor to leave her in just her undergarments. The woman who had escorted them disappeared quickly after leaving behind a stack of clean linen towels, muttering under her breath about this bunch being extremely too rowdy for the tranquility vibe of the spa. They were paying customers though so as long as they didn't cause too much trouble it shouldn't be an issue.

Despite her urgency, Kiara lowered herself into the waters slowly. A sigh of pure contentment tumbled past her lips the moment the heavenly hot water surrounded her frame. There wasn’t anything like this. She could lounge and nap in a bath perpetually if given the option. Truly this was relaxing at its finest.

Asher
location: mainland (bathhouse)
Interaction: Kyuubey Kyuubey The Elder The Elder
Asher hand stepped inside quietly and was about to talk to the receptionist who was already a little dumbfounded by the massive man that had just stepped in so quietly and yet before he could even say a word the door burst open once more a lion-like beast folk lady and a small dude being tugged along they looked like they'd been out in the rain as well, the wide-eyed star from the lion woman was somewhat expected Asher usually got those looks thanks to his towering height. what he didn't actually expect was what she did next. offer to pay for him as well. how strange? was she trying to flirt with him?? he'd smile back looking down at her and shrugging. "oh sure why not" he'd say the woman seemed to know more than him and frankly it would be less awkward that way even if the offer initially was rather weird.

she did whisper about her friend being kinda stinky and well he couldn't help but smirk and nod. "yeah I can see what you mean oh i" he'd be cut off noticing the receptionist ushering them to one of the baths.. and frankly seeing it he was stunned it looked.. beautiful the little stream the warm water it was.. just surreal so different to what he was expecting. "wow.. this is..wow" he'd say with a small smile.

once again the excitableness of the lion girl that he'd still not caught the name of broke his admiring of the place by stripping her clothes off rather quickly and then carefully sinking into the bath he'd look to the other guy and shrug. "oh well might as well follow her lead.. oh my names asher, by the way, don't think I managed to say that did she drag you along too? seems like the sort to do that" he'd comment calmly before following the odd lion girls lead and removing most of his own clothing carefully folding them and setting them to the side before stepping in and yup.. he took up... alot of room something Asher was feeling a bit conscious about judging by the light blush on his face. "hmm.. i think im a little large.."

Cecil's eyebrow raised slightly toward the purple woman spoke up towards her and claimed that this was all a misunderstanding. To the Lioness, this was exactly as it seemed. Luckily the woman had corrected herself and definitely gave her props for trying to keep the scene light, though that was far out the window. While asking she was law enforcement, she shrugged and spoke "Might as well be." was her response while the man himself was exclaiming how there was plenty of him to go around. Second one of the day already acting as if he's the king of the world. This left a bitter taste in her mouth while he continued to talk and pull out a piece of paper, one that claimed this man was wanted. That's some free money you're waving around there you drunken bastard. I'm surprised no one else has found your sorry ass. The tip of her tail had flicked in annoyance and the Beastwoman straight up ignored the man as he tried to talk to her. There was nothing to talk about, especially when he was clearly committing multiple crimes at once. That was proven even further as he grabbed the other woman over his shoulder as she began to flail "Where the hell do you think you're going with those two?" Called out Cecil while she approached at a quick pace.

Beyond the drunkard and the girls he carried, she could spot a big fluffy beastman followed by a familiar face: Olfa and Silva. They came out and once again, the group was together with some additions. Silva was already on the gun much like Olfa was as he grasped the man's neck and by the sound of it, she was able to pick up on his words, though a little hard with the rain hitting the ground and everything around them. A smirk had tugged the corner of her lips, knowing there was no way the Drunk was getting away with this. He dropped the girls and unfortunately left them with no mercy as they fell straight into the pavement. He could have been a bit nicer about it, damn. Then the purple-skinned woman went off, no doubt furious about the situation. The Beastwoman approached the group, and listened to what was going on. Putting her hands on her hips, she looked between those of the group, especially the little one in the cloak. "Now that we got this bastard in a wonderful grip from our friendly neighborhood bear," Cecil said as she patted Olfa's arm "He's going to pay for not only attempted kidnapping, but also stealing from Silva here. Not only those two, but his ass is wanted so whoever wants the money, feel free to turn his ass in."

Her light-colored eyes looked over the smaller female as she thanked Olfa while also apologizing to him and offering compensation for her protection. "Listen," spoke up the Lioness "Kindness does not need payment. We look out for eachother, even if we are just strangers." On top of that, it was just fistfuls of Gold that was carelessly being handed out. Does she not realize how much money she's giving the three of them? I myself don't care because I know what I can and can't do. But she's not taking the time to even count out what's she's doing. "Hey Little one, don't you think that's just a bit too much? Gold is expensive you know. Carelessly throwing your money out like that can get someone like this bastard to steal that pouch of yours." A pointed nail had directed it's way right to the thief next to them. "Not that I'm here to be your mother, but that's just my advice. Where are you going? I can tell by your shifting eyes, your body language alone..." Looking to the purple-skinned woman, she asked: "What happened? Aside from this shit show." While standing next to the small woman, she could smell some...Was that sugar? Cecil sniffed a bit more, confirming that it was indeed sugar coming off of the girl. Candy maker? Baker? Damn if I knew someone like that made good money I would have gone for that profession.

Ciaran
Boat #1, Deck

A distorted shape rapidly approached the water's surface. Ciaran squinted, anticipating what may happen. He recoiled and shielded his face because of the sudden powerful leap from the water and went wide-eyed. These two were not the sight was expecting! Some kind of merfolk? Had they angered—or perhaps liberated—a community under the Kraken's control? Thoughts raced in the fox man's weary mind amidst the chaos, and he didn't think clearly until he heard the cry for help.

Lowering his arms to get a better look, he recognized those faces. The captain and her first mate(?) returned, but the former had sustained a grievous-looking wound. A shard of wood protruded from her shoulder. Ciaran dashed over to kneel next to her and inspect her wound. "Thes is 'orrible," he muttered, wiping his bloodied hands on his kilt. His heart still pounded in his ears, but in this storm of panic, Carlisle granted him focus. The herbalist exhaled slowly before looking to Val and Nasir. "Yes, I can 'elp! No time t' waste! I need clean wa'er, strong booze, an' an apron! Move, move!" he commanded, unfurling the rolled-up strand of pouches he kept in his satchel. A variety of glass tubes stuck out, labels visible just under the corks. He also slapped a mortar and pestle onto the deck, ready to get started.

Luminita Spatafora
Ghost Ship, Deck

More and more undead poured from below deck, with a very much alive but wounded Logi keeping just ahead. Something had to be done about the source of this scourge. What even was the source?

Looking up at the Captain, Nita noticed an unnatural shimmer coming from the captain's hand as he worked his spells. She saw the gem embedded in the decrepit flesh—two in fact, as one also protruded from his head. "Just listen for me!" Nita yelled after Vi sent her airborne. She soared over the throng gathering on the deck and landed only a few feet from her target. He turned to her, drawing a large, battered sword.

Wasting no time, Nita produced her second sword and closed the gap to attack. Her eyes were on the prize, blade hurtling towards his wrist. He knew she knew and moved with impressive speed to block her attack with the flat of his blade. The knightess held that saber where it was, but reached around to slash with the other. Her attack gashed his wrist. Too shallow.

The captain pressed forward, kicking Nita in the stomach. She staggered back. He lunged with the sword in an over grip, driving it down towards the shorter woman. She sidestepped in time for it to miss. Splinters scattered as the sword plunged into the wood, then again as he ripped it free. "Come on," she taunted, holding out her twin swords, watching his movements.

The two exchanged swings, deftly dodging and blocking each other. The captain slashed rapidly until the old steel chopped the railing. Nita understood this duel was going nowhere fast. The captain turned and brandished his weapon. "Vi! Throw!" she called, motioning with her head.

Rhada Sybille
Altair Enchanters Guild

The preparations were almost in place. Laborers contributed all their effort into moving the marked crates quickly and carefully, from the side door of the guild hall to the caravan parked in front. Their horse-drawn vehicles numbered four in total: two covered wagons for escorts in the front and rear, one sturdy cart holding the cargo second in line, and one large, finely crafted carriage in third place. Food supplies were divided among the carts, according to need. Several quivers of arrows were also stored for the guards.

At the helm of this trip was Rhada Sybille, the Enchanters Guildmaster. In her hand, she carried road maps of the continent. There were no apparent markings on them—no routes highlighted, no circled destinations, nothing. As she handed them out to her drivers, they pulled small lenses from their pockets and looked through them. They nodded, understanding what to do and where to go.

The Guild staff prepared for their weekend without their master's guidance. They had been taught well—how to spot counterfeits, report suspicious activity, and manage business on their own. They were set to run this organization like a well-oiled machine in Rhada's absence.

Once the final preparations were complete and the tarp was secured over the cargo, the crew loaded themselves into the vehicles and pulled them forward. The carriage stopped in front of the building's main entrance, and out stepped Rhada herself. "Are you ready, Master Rhada?" her driver asked. Peeking into her satchel, she glanced at the pistol inside and nodded. "Yes, I am now," she replied calmly before climbing the step into the carriage doorway.

Nasir kneeled over Nesta’s unconscious body filled with regret and disapproval in himself. This whole time he’s been assigned to her, nothing like this has happened, besides minor injuries. He was always the one to take the force of the attacks heading her way, and now the first time their roles were reversed, she ends up like this. “How pathetic of you.” Spoke a voice that sent chills down his spine.

The sounds all around him started to become muffled as his past started to hunt him yet again. He didn’t even register the others answering his call running over. Standing over him, he saw the image of the Queen of the underwater Capital of Aqilus. She mocked and laughed at him as she pointed down at Nesta’s body. “I shall claim another.” She said in a sinister tone, as she kneeled down and grabbed hold of the piece of wood protruding out of Nesta. Nasir, didn’t even budge. His mind retracted back to when he was that scared little kid all those years ago. He could only lower his head and mutter the word, “No.” Fear washed over him, as he was unable to move his body to even attempt to save Nesta. This woman had a hold over him still to this day. He still felt that same noose around his neck, struggling to survive.

Then in an instant, all those dark emotions he was feeling were all washed away. His mind became clear, and the sound around him was restored. He looked up, no longer seeing the Queen standing over him, but the travelers who took this job around him and Nesta providing their aid. In this small moment, Nasir was able to breathe, as he felt a small sense of hope. He looked at Carlisle and nodded his head agreeing with his words. “Positive thoughts.” He repeated back to him. Ciaran called out all the items he needed, Nasir looked over towards his crewmates that surrounded them. “Someone get him everything he asked for!! Everyone else, get that kraken off this ship!” He ordered, causing them all to scramble away. Most ran off to finish hacking away at the Kraken's tentacles finishing up the job, while others grabbed the supplies. Looking back at Nesta he grabbed her hand with both of his own and said, “Everythings gonna be okay Nesta.” Nasir has just placed whatever faith he had left in Ciaran. With no time wasted, a crew member returned with the requested items, placing them all near Ciaran. “You save her, and I’ll be in your debt.” He says to Ciaran, looking up at him.

    Boat #1, Deck

While waiting for the crew to return with the supplies necessary, Ciaran placed measures of several fragrant herbs into the mortar. He also produced a small pair of metal forceps. He knew there would be splinters in the wound, and he had to take deep breaths; shoddy work would leave Nesta in worse condition, with possible infections as the splinters decayed in her body.

A crewmate returned with the apron, a bucket of fresh water, and a bottle of alcohol that smelled lethal. Now that he had every item he requested, Ciaran was almost ready to do the crude surgery. His first move was to put on the apron prior to pouring the liquor on his hands. He scooped up some water and deposited it in the mortar. As he mixed the herbs into a thick paste with the pestle, he chanted under his breath. The herbs started to glow green, magic power channeling into them. The light faded until the herbalist was left with a shimmering medicine.

Next, Ciaran began the surgery proper by dumping water and then alcohol on Nesta's wound. He needed it clean. "I'm sorry, lass," he whispered as his hands grasped the shard of debris. His muscles tensed as he pulled in a straight line. The wood was dislodged. Blood trickled onto the deck. He applied the salve to the exit wound first, before peering into the hole. Using the forceps, he picked out the splinters one by one, deepest first. The shimmering intensified as Nesta's flesh mended itself slowly.

Another splash of alcohol. "Agh, shite... There's damage t' th' bone," Ciaran observed as he worked. With the wound partly filled in, he had an excellent base to piece her bone back together. He carefully moved the broken pieces back into place, dabbing on the infused medicine. Scar tissue formed, the bleeding waned, and, eventually, the wound sealed itself entirely, leaving only scars.

With the process finished, Ciaran flopped onto his back with an exhausted sigh. He was covered in blood—now from two sources—but he didn't care so much at that moment. "Y' jus' need t' keep 'er arm 'n a sling. Tha' bone'll take some time t' 'eal fully," he instructed Nasir breathlessly. "She migh' feel light'eaded when sh' wakes up. Jus' feed 'er, an' don' let 'er drink like a fish, eh?"

Boat One
No one would probably ever forget the day that the whole boat fought off a Kraken mid-adventure and with the help of the Nasir, Nesta, and more, they were able to secure the soul of the kraken and the rest of the group had banded together to burn the beast and slice it up like sushi. It was utter chaos between the shaking, shoving, and spinning of the boat and those large tentacles coming out and grabbing people. Luckily the boat hadn't taken much damage aside from the upper deck and some water getting into the hull of the ship (Which was quickly removed thanks to the crew). Some were injured, some were exhausted, and more importantly: Hungry. So with the sliced up tentacles, they were cut down even more enough to be cooked and served for dinner. (The food was inspected, don't worry. No poisons here) and the rest of the trip remained as smooth as possible. Some storms here and there, some clouds, and maybe a rough wave or two. After a long two months, the group had finally arrived to the bottom side of the Unknown. Here the adventure begins with mountains in the far distance, dense forests, and unknown plant life/animal life. It's up to you how you want this to go and what you can accomplish during this time.

Boat two

As if the undead ship wasn't enough, it was manned by a captian with unique gems that allowed him to revive his team whenever he wanted. With Nita's bravery, she was able to cut down the Captain and prevent any more resurrections. The rest of the group was able to loot anything that proved of value and they managed to sink the boat and let it rot back underneath the sea. Some repairs were needed for the boat, and they were needed. Everyone seemed to be okay aside from Logi but she was quickly patched up by the healer of the group. After that event, it was more of stargazing, rough waves, typical weather, and more before they finally made it to the Unknown. Seeing not only the dense forests but the large mountains that seemed to be further out. Upon docking up to the beach, they were met with that sandy coast, followed by a forest that began not too far away. This is your adventure now. Time to make the best of it.

Elof

Location (Group 1): Ship #1, Crow's Nest => On Deck

ElofPost.jpg

Though the heart shaking encounter with the Kraken was past them, with the remains of the beast being brought to the chef with enough meat to last at three journeys across the sea; the suddenness of it all had stuck with Elof. He was complacent. This was a job, not a vacation, and one that would reflect on the whole of the Redfang Troupe for better or for worse. The mixed blood decided against sleeping below deck, opting to stay in the Crow's Perch. Like a child, he had a blanket thrown over his head during the heavy rain, and his hand grasped one of the poles when things got bumpy. For the days that had past he spoke to no one, simply training constantly and keeping watch. Making sure to get enough sleep to function, in case something happened. For anyone onboard with trouble sleeping or even a bit of insomnia that made their way on deck in the dead of night, would be astounded to find Elof sitting still against the mast, looking out into the wading waters. For the dead eyed mercenary, the battle with the kraken was a failure on his part. He could have done more, moved faster, struck harder. Yet his companions, though temporary, suffered.

In the days that past while he remained silent, he would make moments, small ones, to check on Sh'Kashta, Nesta, and even Mikhail. Though he wouldn't say a word, he would offer rations, a book, or his whetstone for them to borrow. Maybe that was a kind of excuse for him to come back to check on them again, just in case. The day that the crew had been longing for though, had finally arrived. Shore. He made sure to call it out when it happened, alerting all aboard to get ready for landing. There had been no ports in the Unknown Territory, at least where they had landed. That would mean much more work for all those aboard. Elof made his way down to the deck of the ship, sliding down the ladder with his satchel wrapped around his shoulder and weapons at his side. For now, he would simply find the nearest crewmember, and see what they needed help with.

Man after that Kraken bullhonky, Val was finished battling some large ass monsters for the time being. The good news was that everyone got patched, fed, and more. Though eating different variants of squid was very interesting between frying, grilling, and more. Different flavors every time but she seemed to enjoy each style and didn't complain one bit since that did lay off some damage from the actual food supply. After those long months went by, they finally made it to the Unknown. Those caramel-colored eyes widening in awe at the large land that looked like it probably went on for ages. "I can't believe we made it." The Fairy said aloud while leaning on the edge of the ship. At first she was sure it'd look far worse, similar to The Banished where it was always seemingly dark from the outside. But it actually wasn't that bad aside from probably a dense forest that lined the rocky beach and towards the back looked like some large mountains but she wasn't close enough to really make out what was out there "There's no way both boats would be able to explore all this! No doubt it'll take ages to get everything discovered."

While the boat began to find a way to dock, she gathered her things and knew very well there was going to need assistance unloading. Once the boat was docked as best as possible, she began to help unload with a crate of...Well...Whatever was inside because it was sealed shut. Val waddled her way to the (hopefully) proper spot and put the crate down. "Who's excited to see what this place has in store for us?" Valorie called out while looking around at whoever was on deck with her, one of those people being Elof: The Suicidal Guy. Never would she ever forget this guy just straight up jumping off the edge to fight a Kraken in the water. That's the kind of impression that he left on her after that. Granted, it was funnier now than it was before because well...He could have actually died that day. "Hopefully you're just as excited as you were the day we fought the Kraken." Valorie teased with a grin, hoping to crack something out of the guy.

Logi Laeblom

Location: The Second Frontier

NOTE: I added a translation for the scottish

"-Ach, dinnae like that ride." Logi stopped herself. "Bizzar', Dejoa Vue." The fairy shrugged as she hopped off the ship and flitted down gracefully onto the warm sands below. Her boots touched ground sandlessly- she was wearing her armors today. Didn't want to be caught unprepared twice in one trip. A hand brushed against the leathers covering the lingering scar from that strange and harrowing event. The negative thoughts evaporated into smoke with a shake of the head. "Tae job at haun, richt," Logi rifled through her magic sack, digging out a folded rectangle and after a little finessing, folded it out into its true form, a small table. Barely big enough for a plate, and Vi could crush it like paper-mache, but that was of little importance.

"Aye ye lot, come o'er here! Ah've got summat tae show ye." Logi called out to the others as the land deprived passengers funneled onto the beach. The fiery redhead waved the 1685175028570.pngothers over as she laid a torn and crumpled paper upon her fold out table, flattening it out for others to see. "Yae'r a able-boday'd lot, richt?" A pointed finger pushed against the now uncrumpled paper, a drawn portrait of a man. A man of rugged dark complexion and striking blue eyes with an intricate tattoo dancing vertically across the left of his forehead, intertwining with itself as if a pile of snakes. Additionally, he was covered in burn scars. He was also bald and possessed a remarkable sharp gaze, noticeable even in the still portrait. "Ah cam' here fir a reason, 'n fore ah raem aff an' croak, yae'll shuid know whit ahm doin' it fir. Gotta find yon fellow oan thae oorskit laund, 'e's friend ae mine. If any ah yae'r keen aboot it, ah'll tell yae more latae. Oh, an' there's ah shiny piece er so fer yer haund, too." Logi swiped the portrait and began folding up the miniature table. "Tha's all. Ah'm gawnae mak' tae maist o' all this non-boat terrain fur noo." Logi announced, shoving her things back into her pouch and marching proudly a couple of paces through the sand and plopping herself haphazardly upon the sand, sitting criss cross applesauce as she watched the crew unload the sea vessel. She wouldn't be much help anyways, and she already had all of her things with her and off the boat.

"-Oof, did not like that ride." Logi stopped herself. "Bizzare, Deja Vu." The fairy shrugged as she hopped off the ship and flitted down gracefully onto the warm sands below. Her boots touched ground sandlessly- she was wearing her armors today. Didn't want to be caught unprepared twice in one trip. A hand brushed against the leathers covering the lingering scar from that strange and harrowing event. The negative thoughts evaporated into smoke with a shake of the head. "The job at hand- right," Logi rifled through her magic sack, digging out a folded rectangle and after a little finessing, folded it out into its true form, a small table. Barely big enough for a plate, and Vi could crush it like paper-mache, but that was of little importance.

"Hey you guys, come over here! I have got something to show you." Logi called out to the others as the land deprived passengers funneled onto the beach. The fiery redhead waved the others over as she laid a torn and crumpled paper upon her fold out table, flattening it out for others to see. "You're a able-bodied lot, right?" A pointed finger pushed against the1685175028570.png now uncrumpled paper, a drawn portrait of a man. "I came here for a reason, and before I run off and croak, you all should know what I'm doing it for. Gotta find this fellow on this weirdo land, he's a friend ae mine. If any of you are keen about it, I'll tell you more later. Oh, and there's a shiny piece or so for your hand, too." Logi swiped the portrait and began folding up the miniature table. "That's all. I'm gonna make the most of all of this non-boat terrain for now." Logi announced, shoving her things back into her pouch and marching proudly a couple of paces through the sand and plopping herself haphazardly upon the sand, sitting criss cross applesauce as she watched the crew unload the sea vessel. She wouldn't be much help anyways, and she already had all of her things with her and off the boat.

The rest of the crew had begun to run about, taking cargo off the ship and collecting their bearings. Dark eyes gazed upon the unknown land, noting the exceptional amounts of foliage and dense forests beyond the shore. Faraine furrowed her brow, looking over at the outgoing fairy, "Who's excited to see what this place has in store for us?" Faraine decided not to comment, mostly because she had planned on getting off this boat as soon as possible. One fight with a Kraken was enough for her to keep her boots off the wooden deck for quite some time.

It took some maneuvering, but the boat was eventually anchored, and that's all Faraine needed. With her sword sheathed behind her back, the rather large woman easily stepped over the side of the boat, gracefully hopping down onto the wooden deck. Despite the ease in which her legs carried her out of the boat, Faraine couldn't deny the slight wobble in her knees thanks to months of faring the seas. The half-elf muttered a few curses under her breath, hating how the water made her look like an absolute imbecile. "Damn sea-legs.." She grumbled, straightening her posture and doing her best to walk normally down the dock.

If she were being completely frank, Faraine had no plans for this place. She was getting paid to adventure, and that's exactly what she intended to do. "I'm going to investigate the shores." The bounty hunter spoke aloud to no one in particular, but she knew at least one of the curious souls might try and pry into her business if she said nothing at all. Long strides meant that it didn't take Faraine very long at all to reach the end of the docks, leather boots now leaving footprints into the rocky sand beneath them.

The woman took a deep breath, a small smile of satisfaction lifting her features for a moment before she came back down to Earth. After all, just because she was on solid ground, it certainly did not mean she was safe. So, after glancing to her left and right, the bounty hunter decided to take a right and walk along the shore. Golden irises took in the shell-filled sand beneath her. They were unlike anything she had seen. Possibly containing shells of creatures that have yet to be classified. Despite the intriguing shell designs, nothing stuck out much, until she caught a glint in the light.

Faraine blinked a couple of times, wondering if it was a trick of the eye, only for another beam of light to shoot right into her eye. She grimaced, rubbing her eye hastily before opening it again to discover an iridescent... scale? It was rather large, half-buried in the sand. It surely was no shell, having a hue that differed greatly from the sands surrounding it. Letting curiosity get the best of her, Faraine squatted down, reaching out for the golden scale. It was.. heavier than she expected. About the size of her palm, it looked as if it belonged to a larger-sized creature.

The giantess frowned, not exactly enjoying the idea of facing another large creature, but, she couldn't stop herself from wanting to investigate the scale further. So, with the scale in hand, Faraine closed her eyes and began to cast Seer's Touch. Opening her eyes again, she only saw clear skies, the feeling of harsh winds blowing against her as she flew above the same mountaintops she saw from the docks. As she flew, she could see multiple caves and villages passing by in a blur.

Blinking again, Faraine was back on the beach, still holding the heavy scale in her hand. It seems that this scale belongs to a flying creature, one dwelling within the mountains. There are probably more like it, but, from the perspective of a single scale, it was hard to get a read on the actual creatures. Despite that, it seemed that the mountains could provide more options for shelter, if the group decides to go further into the unknown lands. Putting the scale away, Faraine looked back towards the boat, which happened to be much farther than she anticipated.

Well, it seems she got a bit distracted.

Luca cautiously stepped onto the beach, taking out his spyglass to get a better look at the vast forest that was ahead of him. He saw nothing but trees, nothing appearing out of the ordinary. It would be ill-advised to stomp around this new land with out being careful. They didn't know much about it except that it existed. Content with their relative safety, he put his spyglass away, kneeling down to get a closer look at the sand. He let the fine grains run past his fingers, studying it with his eyes. The sand here was finer, seemingly ground into smaller pieces. "Interesting." Luca stood up, wiping his hands of any particles that may have been left on his skin. He wanted to figure out the differences of this new land, hoping that there would be more opportunities to learn.

Luca scoffed at Logi's request, shaking his head in disapproval. They didn't come to this land to find someone, they came to conquer the unconquered. "Your chances of finding that man on this continent are nonexistent. I'd just give up now before you are ahead." He said, walking a few paces further towards the forest. It was probably best to get their bearings straight before proceeding into the wilderness.

Before Luca could take another step, he felt a strange object under his foot in the sand. He knelt down, moving the sand aside to uncover the mysterious object. After taking the object out of the sand, it quickly became clear what it was. It was an axe, a primitive one at that. It was made of iron, the edges showing signs of rusting. It hadn't completely rusted yet, giving him the idea that it was recently dropped. Whoever dropped it wasn't here that long ago. It was obvious that there was life on this continent, it was just a matter of where it was.

Olfa

Olfa held onto the pirate as the little lady talked on about her situation and her reluctance to her staying at the B&B. He was a little saddened by the news but understood she may not totally get what waits for her outside these streets and whatever familiar home she had to have left. Olfa did admire the girls perseverance in the face of a very obvious threat, but he did not have the confidence in her ability to prosper on her own, shocked at her making it as far as she had now. The world was not a kind place and she did not need to see that with the face of evil on her travels. She still had a future worth directing into a greater purpose. This belief of Olfa's wasn't something he was going to let go of easily.

"Maeve, I know you must have been trekking the wilds and trails for a while, so you and I both know that this, scumbag, is only the tip of what's out there. He may not have been malicious, but there are plenty who are. I know you may not hold the greatest desire to find home in a rowdy tavern, but it's the only place I can confidently say you wouldn't face these, apparently, numerous adversaries or enemies you seem to attract. I am not here to baby you or keep you from leaving, but I ask you greatly to save your gold and life, and at least stay a little with us at the B&B."

Olfa smiled as he put his free hand up to refuse the gold that Maeve had offered. He didn't need the young ones sweetly scented coins. He knew far too well that the girl earned it through hard work, and what little work he had done, was not worth such a gesture. She could choose how she wanted, it was not his place to stop her, but he knew she would not fair better then she did in front of countless helpful and powerful people. She didn't seem helpless, but she definitely wouldn't suffer from more help and guidance in whatever journey she may be on.

"I know you have many options, just know that I have seen many of them. I have been down some dark and damp paths. You don't need to risk your neck for whatever it is you want to achieve. Not to the degree you would facing the wilds on your own at least."

Olfa smiled once more with an empathetic and almost parental feeling. He just wanted to make sure Maeve was safe. Seeing so much of him in her, he couldn't help it. But he knew he could not make her feel the same, knowing that if it came to it, she would take her leave.

Rina had the time of her life smacking her Mallet into everything on that Ghost Ship. Watching pieces of bone go flying and the boat itself crack and send splinters out wherever they could go. Time went by quickly after that, screwing around with Vi and helping repair the boat where she could. Despite having those blacksmithing supplies with her, some did come in handy to make some repairs. As the boat floated towards the Unknown, she felt excitement building up because it had been two months without seeing trees, grass, and more. Finally, we get to see the trees, feel the grass, and get this show on the road. Rina thought while looking back towards the others that were around her. Even though she had said nothing, she still gave them warm smiles and returned her gaze back to the sandy beach they slowly rolled up on.

The Dwelf jumped into the sand and heard that gentle crunch underneath her boots. That is just a satisfying sound I haven't heard in a long time. While standing on the beach much like a few others, she noticed Logi going one way while Luca went another. Rina listened to Logi first, hearing her mention about finding a friend of hers in the Unknown. Her friend is on this continent? Better hope he's still alive then. We have no idea what's out here. Looking toward Luca in his direction, it looked like he found something in the sand. We need to come up with a plan, have someone with a map and hand draw that out as we explore... She then spotted some sort of plant sticking out the edge where the beach met the forest. Walking up to it, she crouched down and reached her finger out, gently petting the yellow petals Is this a flower? She wondered, trying to study the plant and figure out if it was just a plant that looked pretty or if it was a plant that could kill her.

There weren't any thorns, nor suspicious looking leaves that can indicate maybe perhaps an aggressive plant. Now, she was not an herbalist in the slightest and would be able to tell regardless but hopefully her experiment wouldn't be in vain. "Now Logi," said the woman "If you want to find your friend, it's not going to be an easy task. Despite Luca being...Well...Luca about it, he may be right. Finding your friend would almost be like a needle in the haystack. If you find that needle, well better hope it isn't in your ass." Her eyes shifted over toward Logi, knowing she "spoke" loud enough for her. "I mean I don't see why we shouldn't at least try to find him while doing the main mission of us being here. It's just we could get eaten out here and you wouldn't know till its too late. We may need to take caution, as much as I'd love to swing around my mallet and smack things."

Ladies’ Man
Zenoulis Silvercraw
With a bear restraining his movements and a crowd of his accusers surrounding him, Zenoulis knew that this was probably one of the most time-sensitive situations in a while. The last time he was in a conflict like that was: when his ship was destroyed by a Kraken. Luckily, he got away on the Lifeboat with most of the loot. He could hear the screams of his crew as he paddled away. He may be a captain but he is still a pirate. Going down with the ship, was a navy mindset. That thought process got if step-father killed and he wasn't going to die from no government that didn't give a shit about his demon ass.

"Ugh! You sweaty, slimy-bastardus es! Filius meretricis! I bet your other horn is nubby too!" Slimy-bastardus that's a new one at least she's creative it makes this a lot more entertaining. The pirate took blow-by-blow of abuse from each person that he ‘supposedly’ did wrong to in the past 10 minutes. After a long time, somebody said something that wasn't just a bitchy remark, "If potions were what you sought, you should've simply asked."Potions why the fuck would I want potions?” He stared confused Maeve “You must be confused, little lady. I walked into a liquor shop and got as much liquid as I could because I was out. Even though it tastes funny and has weird side effects it still smells like good old alcohol.” The Pirate's intelligence clearly wasn't his strong suit but somehow he has survived this long.

"He's going to pay for not only attempted kidnapping but also stealing from Silva here…” The pirate was reluctant to go to prison because usually even if he got captured by some sort of government. There's always some sort of Outlaw, who wants his head. That would break him out just to kill him. No matter who went for the kill he always got out. Sometimes with a few cuts on him. Clearly Catniss Everdeen over here wanted to be the shining hero that turned into the bad guy. But Zenoulis Is not going to jail yet, He still needed to finish a few things before the next set of shackles hit his wrists. “Hey gray-hair, can you shut up and just be pretty? I've seen this act before too many times and you're just not someone who should have lines in this performance.” He said as he still is at the Bear’s Mercy. “..this, scumbag, is only the tip of what's out there.” The bear had a point if so was the tip of the iceberg, this little chemist would have a hard time traveling. If it wasn't for her big mouth I wouldn't have known that she was wanted.

The Pirate decided it was enough playing victim and elbowed the bear in between the ribs. He knew it was risky but it was that or getting cut by those claws of his. With his hands up he ensured that he wasn't going to try anything, the pirate said, “Hey hey I'm just sick and tired of feeling the walking carpet’s breath on my neck.” he slowly walked over to his demon beauty, and grabbed her hand and kisses it “I apologize for what I have done, madam. Clearly, I don't know how to handle a woman” The pirate pulled Anise in and tried to kiss her. Instead of a kiss, he was met with something he should have expected. The half-demon woman punched the Pirates across the face and broke his nose in the process.

Zenoulis wiped the blood off his face and smiled. Under his breath, he said, “What a feisty woman… I like them feisty.” he turned his attention back to little O’ Maeve. “The Bear is wrong but right,” He said getting closer to the fairy. “I'm not a threat to you..” He grabbed the last of the potions in his jacket and downed it in one gulp. Within seconds, he began to hiccup profusely. “I was just trying to..” A little bit of confetti came out of his mouth. “g-get you out of the city like you asked.” Clearly based on what you've seen, Zel was not really a ladies' man but to him he was. “Now since I tried my best I still think I deserve payment for my services”

Zenoulis dashed and grabbed the gold pouch that was in Maeve’s hand. With all that was in that little bag, he could lay low for a very long time… or a week if his drinking habits got the best of him. Unexpectedly, the pirate felt someone grab the back of his neck again and everything felt like deja vu. Within a few seconds, he was back in the middle of the crowd, flat on his ass. Standing over top of him was Cecil. Even more pissed than before. “You know, beautiful if you didn't want me to leave so soon you could have asked “ With that last remark, he finally got what he deserved and Cecil kicked him in the throat so that he would finally shut his damn mouth.

Wishful Thinking

Advice and doting remarks poured out of the people surrounding her, mirroring the rain that continued to fall. All Maeve could do was stand and observe them whilst her hands remained open and heavy with coin. The weight lessened pretty quickly once the Pirate took off with the gold, however. Maeve's mouth opened in exasperation, an expletive threatening to make its way out of her mouth until she noticed the beastwoman's swift retrieval. Her brows remained furrowed in irritation, willing her to mumble a 'thank you' to Cecil after she tossed her the pouch. The fairy sighed, tucking away her money and returning her attention back to the ever-worried Olfa. She appreciated his honesty, and the sincere concern he held for her. It was a refreshing attitude to be met with after nearly meeting her end multiple times in the past 24 hours. Yet, despite his apparent concern, her mind was set on leaving the city of Altaire. "Well, Olfa, maybe you can come with me. I have much to learn of the world, and we can sell potions in a sort of mobile market. It'd be quite the adventure, would it not?"

It was impulsive, and very on brand for the wingless fae. Satiate the bear's worries, whilst allowing for her own escape. In her eyes, this was a flawless plan. Purple eyes looked over towards Cecil, who was currently giving the flamboyant Pirate a piece of her mind about a yard or so away.

She'd make an excellent paid guard!

Excitement lifted her features, a scowl shifting into an inspired smile whilst she rushed over to stand beside the much taller woman. "Cecil, how would you feel about joining me in my escape, as a paid guard? Starting right now?" Maeve had no idea where she was going, nor what her plan was, but she knew that being around people who were capable and good-hearted would only lead her down a path of happiness. Remembering that the previously towering man was now laying on the ground in front of her, Maeve looked down, "You, however, are not invited." She crossed her arms, not wanting the man to worm his way into her voyage. Releasing her arms, her hands immediately clasped together in a pleading manner, purple eyes wide and hopeful, "What do you say, are you in? Please say yes!"

To any normal person, this behavior would be quite the jump. Selfish thinking on Maeve's part allows her to believe that just about anyone can drop everything they're doing to embark on some dangerous journey with a tiny fae girl they know nothing about. It is this impressively naïve behavior that has allowed her get as far as she has, whether she realizes it or not.

Pleading thoughts eventually were distracted by the sound of a fleet of horse-drawn carriages and wagons approaching the group. It was in this moment that Maeve remembered that they were in the middle of the street. Yet, instead of feeling concerned for her safety, a lightbulb went off. The fleet was quite the spectacle, almost looking like a parade in the street with all the guards and decorum. Her eyes caught the Guild Insignia on one of the carriages, realizing that this will be a chance of safe passage.

"This is perfect! We can hitch a ride from the nice people in this caravan!" Before allowing Cecil to interject, Maeve rushed over to the main caravan, where she spotted a rather distinguished looking woman. "E-excuse me, ma'am! Hi! I am Maeve and-" She continued to follow the caravan's slow pace, thanks to them being in a heavily populated area in the city. "I am an alchemist looking for passage out of Altaire for myself and my friends!" By now, Maeve was gaining some distance from the group that she hoped to take with her, but she didn't notice, focusing on the opportunity in front of her. "If you allow us to join, I will be more than happy to assist with any Enchanters Guild needs!" More impulsive actions, promises that she herself doesn't actually know if she can keep. "Trust me, you'll be happy to have a skilled alchemist such as myself in your arsenal!" Maeve insisted, her breathing becoming uneven from maintaining pace with a horse-drawn carriage in the middle of the street.

In the days after the Kraken attack, Kash spent much time recovering within the ship. She was unsure what had happened, but the quiet fighter seemed to have taken a liking to her, and had visited often and offered her many gifts. He did not speak, but did offer her food that she enjoyed, books she tried her best to read, and even his fancy rocks but these he did take back later.

Once she was able to move about once more, she did find him on the upper decks often. He seemed to favor the open air, climbing the tallest heights of the ship, fighting against imagined foes, or simply watching the waters. Despite the amount of time it took before they arrived at the unknown, Kash had yet to figure out what he saw in her or how she should feel about him.

In the end, she settled on evading the issue. As workers began preparing to offload the ship, Kash offered to help bring supplies over. She had to offer many times before a crate was given to her to swim over to the shore. She happily carried it away and over the side of the ship, unaware that it was empty and meant to get her out of the way. It was difficult to swim while holding something that wanted to stay above the water, but after learning to swim upside down, she managed it.

As she pulled the crate up onto the sand, the rest of the crew was disembarking and bringing the rest of the supplies onto the shore. "Who's excited to see what this place has in store for us?" A voice called out. Kash was about to answer, but then saw the man she was evading, and chose to be farther out of sight.

Kash wandered up the shore towards the forest, curious if the trees here were the same as the trees she'd seen before. As she approached however, she saw a flicker of light and froze. The little mote floated back out from behind a tree before gently floating back. It was as though the light was taunting her, teasing how easy it would be to catch. Her every instinct warned her of the danger such a creature posed. Her kind were familiar with the dancing lights of the deep. She slowly crept back until her feet hit the rocky sands again, and finally glanced back towards the others. "There are haunting lights!" she called back. "Be cautious of the Maws."

Ciaran
Unknown Territory, Western Shores

In the past two months, Ciaran found himself evolving from a seasick herbalist to somewhat of a miracle worker. Though the fox-man wasn't really required to do much aboard Nesta's ship, he found himself getting more involved in keeping various sections below deck spotless. Perhaps he seemed overbearing at some points, but after surviving the Kraken's assault, it would've been embarrassing for anyone to die of disease. His magical infusions in herbal mixtures proved essential to healing cuts, scrapes, and gouges that occurred regularly, but alas, he found himself running out of materials to make this possible.

The expedition's making landfall couldn't have come quickly enough. As soon as the gang plank was lowered, he practically rolled down it. His legs felt like noodles, and he walked with a sway he consciously tried to correct. Truly, only those with fins and gills were meant to stay at sea!

"So, ehhh..." Ciaran started, clearing his throat audibly. "Noow tha' we're on land, I need s'me more herbs. Think our first tasks'll 'ave t' be building shelter and a foragin' run. Aye... this place looks ripe with new flora already..." His voice had lowered as he thought about studying them and bringing back live specimens to cultivate. Glancing up to where Sh'Kashta pointed, his eyes tracked the movement. "I think tha's jus' somethin' swayin' 'n th' wind," he guessed, coming closer. His hand rested on his dagger, just in case it wasn't.

Kiara Solarius

Kiara leaned her head back against the cool stone tile which was a stark contrast to the hot bubbling waters she was emerged in. It felt extremely nice. Refreshing even. While Toshiro rummaged through the soaps and smelled them all, Kiara kept her caramel colored hues lifted up towards the ceiling to watch the steam dancing above them. It was so mesmerizing that Asher’s words almost didn’t register.

“ Don’t worry about the room. I live by the saying, if I fit… I sit. “ She commented towards Asher.

A smile drifted across her face, lips curved upwards. Pure contentment settled there. Mentally, physically, this was the most peaceful she’d felt in a while. She hadn’t realized how exhausted she’d truly been until now. Fighting herself and navigating a cruel world. Somehow she’d found herself sitting in a spa with basically two strangers. Not that she cared about the company or the fact that there was a giant man beside her taking up a majority of the space. It didn’t bother her one bit. If anything it was comforting to be with others.

Eventually she slowly tilted her head back down and those honey spun eyes drifted from face to face. “ You should go with…. “ Kiara leaned forward and plucked a bar of soap from the basket beside Toshiro. “ … this one. “ She held it out to him with a smile. “ I like the smell a lot. “ She admitted before returning her attention to the basket and taking longer to acquire another bar of soap. “ This one would suit you. It’s a lovely scent. Not that you need it as much as he does but you may as well use the fancy amenities since they’re there. “ Kiara grinned more playfully, exposing those gleaming sharp canines once more.

“ You can call me Ki though. “ She tacked onto Toshiro’s introduction. The expression on her face turned into a mixture of surprise and gratefulness when she heard what Toshiro described her as. A friendly lioness.. As opposed to some of the other things she’d been referred to as by others, that one certainly was more appealing. “ I guess he was so excited that he didn’t catch your name the first time. “ Kiara flicked Toshiro’s cheek lightly to secure his attention. “ His name is Asher! Which, can I call you Ash? “ She turned to look up at Asher. “ It reminds me of the color of your hair. “ The woman stretched out as she spoke, legs draping over Asher’s which made them hover just within view at the surface.

“ This town sure does harbor the most interesting people. That’s why I like it. “ Kiara spoke as she flipped an oval bar of soap over within her hand repetitively. “ What brought you two here? “ She inquired as she began to run the soap along her exposed legs aimlessly, lathering them up and letting the water wash the suds away whenever it lapped over them.

After everything was said and done, the brute still tried to pull her in for a unrequited kiss. Whether he was drunk or just plain stupid (probably both) Anise had just about enough of his nonsense, as she socked him across his jaw. Though she may not look the part, lifting books up and down ladders, and carrying massive tomes actually helped her build a healthy bit of strength, albeit not as much as an adventurer by trade. Still, it was enough to deter him... And get a rise out of him?...

"Blegh..." She pulled out a cloth and started wiping down her hand with it after the half-demon whom she shared little kinship with had left the premises. "I apologize for the commotion. You have a fine establishment here." She addressed Silva. "Unfortunately, I don't have any need for potions at the time. I merely was checking in on the first abductor before the party started. I've actually got to be on my way. I fear there is a library that may soon be without any letters if I don't hurry."

She waved goodbye, as she stepped outside after the other group had made their way to assist the adorable fairy. There she spotted the white haired rogue from before, looking worse for ware, as he sat on the ground, confetti and, what was likely vomit. It was a sad sight to see, and Anise wanted so so so badly to leave him for authorities to find, but...

"If you try to kiss me again I'll flood your sinuses with ink."

She knelt down beside him and started cleaning him up as best she could. "Ugh... When was the last time you bathed?" Still, she kept going, though her disgust was clearly broadcasted on her face as she did so. She held her nose closed, trying not to smell him at all. A fine handkerchief ruined beyond redemption, she tossed it to the side. "You've had your fun, and I've had mine. However, working at odds with one another isn't going to help anyone now is it, Nubby? I take it, this isn't a situation you are unfamiliar with?" she gestured around them, sitting on the wet ground in the rain.

The clamor of angry voices from somewhere below startled the slumbering fairy, indicated by a sharp intake of breath and a sudden jerk of her body from at rest to upright and alert. A piercing emerald gaze instantly flickered to the thick wooden door, focused on the large, metal ring that served as a handle, waiting to see if it moved. Unable to discern any of the words coming from the shouts below, she turned her eyes to the obnoxiously loud man sleeping beside her with a silent sneer of disgust before slipping out from under the coarse sheets, scarcely shifting them as her slender figure moved to gather her belongings off of the floor. Her wings fluttered lightly as she stretched them, the pale green shimmering in the air, despite the lack of sunrays that should have woken her sooner.

Must be raining. A soft sigh escaped her as she donned her sheer, silken gown, completing the look with a jade-colored wrap and sandals with straps wrapped around her calves to just below her knees. Taking a moment to glance back at the dozing dwarf, she shook her head and slowly began shrinking in size, eventually reaching 3 inches in height, before flying out the slightly ajar window with a soft giggle indiscernible to average human hearing. Her wings flickered as she flew through the air, avoiding drops of rain as she darted from the flapping curtains of the window to the next building, quickly hiding beneath the awning of the tavern's outdoor seating. Conversational members of different species chatted about in their chairs, enjoying the homecooked meals of the owners of The Tasty Tankard, a local establishment popular for their stewed venison and mulled wine. Her stomach rumbled, and while she wished to stop by and grab a bite to eat, she had other matters to attend to.

Taking in another large breath, she flitted from the thick tarp down the nearby alley, continuously evading the falling drops from the sky so as to prevent her wings from being soaked as she ran a couple morning errands, shifting in size when deemed necessary. Rope, climbing tools, rations, her bow and quiver, it all quickly became too much to hold without blocking her wings' flight. Rushing to her final destination, her wings flapped with the urgency of prey eluding predator, the danger of damp wings making her heart race as she rushed to the witch's shop, Bubbles and Baubles. It was a quaint little tent, nestled between a brothel and an inn, selling all sorts of items ranging from shady potions to enchanted weapons.

Rivers ran their way through the cobblestone pathing as she hugged the sides of buildings, changing size one last time from that of a pixie to that of the average human over the next couple of minutes of searching for the mismatched patches of cloth that would form the Bubbles & Baubles tent. Back to her normal size, she finally spotted the shop, making her way over with a quick flutter before stopping in front of the elderly woman's shop. The green faerie's smile was sweet, though her mind was not - she was looking for some items and needed them urgently if she were to get out of Altair before alerting authorities. The hefty dwarf she abandoned may have been a person of authority, so she was looking to skip town and make her living elsewhere, perhaps one of the smaller ports of Relphia.

"Good morrow, dear witch." Kalmia put on her warmest grin, hoping the enchantress would be in a good enough mood to give the sultry faerie some discounts. "I'm hoping to gather some supplies for adventuring. Ideally a bag to handle all of my gear without weighing heavily on me, perhaps a cloak to shelter me from the elements, and some vials of nightshade extract for my arrows." A slight, sinister curl appeared on her lips. "You never know when that might come in handy. What might your price be?" She asked with a nod of respect, eyeing the woman up and down. Dressed in a myriad of colors, the enchantress appeared to be an elder woman, but was still surely capable of the speed and accuracy of most skilled craftsman who harvest their own resources. Her small hunch made her seem quaint and delicate, with her frail limbs giving off a light, feigned tremble reminiscent of a newborn's first steps. One hand stilled on her bow while the other gently tapped at the pouch on her belt, securely fastened in such a way that pickpockets wouldn't dare attempt, recognizing a fellow thief's handiwork. "I've got coin."

"yeah this is much nicer then the stream back home or well the lake I think it was only 30 foot? Least I could swim" he'd say with a small chuckle sinking a bit more into the water Letting out a contented hum. "If I fits i sits hey yeah sounds about right knew a few other beastfolk with cat trait .. you'd be surprised how many hide in weird places". He'd say with a soft smile frankly these two were the funniest people he'd run into for a while.

"and yeah my names Asher but you can indeed call me ash got called that alot at home blacksmith and all" he'd once again sah with a small nod taking the soap and sniffing it himself it did smell rather a nice bit on the floral side better then the smell of iron and coal. "Hmm good choice miss ki and yes everyone here very interesting as for why I'm here well if spent ppph a century in a small village I thought I'd explore a little bit so far it's been great this is definitely a highlight of my adventure honestly" he'd say with a warm smile as he started to apply the soap to himself humming a little tune.
