Elof

Location (Group 1): On Deck

ElofPost.jpg

While Elof was in the middle of his rest, in between sets, he heard the sound of clapping coming from an approaching figure. Taking a deep breathe and wiping the sweat from his brow while he brushed his hair to the side, the young mercenary looked up at the figure applauding him. Just as the words left the figure's tongue, he had already been looked over; noting their bright eyes and the mischievous aura they carried. It felt similar to some of the more troublesome members of his troupe, the ones who liked to stir up trouble for the hell of it.

Though he would normally roll his eyes and continue, this person would be accompanying them on their journey, and the mixed blood just has to accept that. So rather than what he wanted to do, Elof simply kept eye contact with him. It was surprising that this person had continued to look at him for so long, especially with how often people refused to look at him straight in the face. A backhanded compliment came his way once again, before the man finally decided to introduce himself. And though his words were definitely aimed to strike nerves, there were none Elof hadn't had a tight grip on. "Elof."

After he spoke his name and the man continued, his true intentions had shone through. Plain and simple, he wanted to fight. Nothing too unusual, a day didn't go by when he was with the Troupe that they didn't hold a Tourney. Though when they came with the adage of a bet, especially one with a favor, they got a special name: Promise Duels. After a moment of thought, he turned around to grab Mir and Jorn, before re-fastening his satchel to the main mast. "You want to fight... say that." Elof turned back around, staring directly toward Mikhail. "No bet. Don't trust you yet... Might get me killed. After you get trust, we can Promise Duel."

Viasia Fistheart
Morning
On Ship #2

The floorboards of the ship creaked every time the ship rocked back and forth. Viasia was below deck trying to get some shut-eye. She would’ve been well-rested if it wasnt for Luca's loud snoring. But alas you don't get to choose your bunk mates when you're out at sea. the Beast woman reassessed her wanting of sleep. It was too noisy and useless to even try. She regretfully got out of her hammock and proceeded to walk above deck.

The first thing that you feel when you step on the deck of that boat is the cool breeze matched with the cloudy weather, that contented the heat of the sun. It wasn't too hot, it wasn't too cold. It was perfect for the sailing. It was better weather than the past few days in her opinion. The crew looked “hard at work”. She saw one man mopping the deck while two other sailors messed with him on missing a spot. The captain and the Navigator argued over the best root to take. It was a breath of fresh air for the beast woman. She's been cooped up at the capitol for a very long time and now it was time for her to be not just a bodyguard.

Viasia noticed the duo staring off into the waters. One was Luca, enjoying the same damn book he's been reading since he got on this ship. As well as the silent Rina, Vi always thought that this little girl was very interesting. Never thought a mute would have such a lovely voice.

Vi joined the duo in their morning conversation. “Morning Rina, I assume you slept well,’ She said as she sat on the deck and leaned against the ship's side. She pulled out a scrap of some lumber she found below deck and a tiny dagger that she had somewhere on her. She whittled down the block into a small figurine. She looked at Luca and sarcastically said “Oh I almost forgot. Morning, Luca. When you are done with that book can I have a chance to read it? Your face has been stuck in that thing for a week.”

"Let's see here... 30 potions sold yesterday totalling up to 178 potions sold for the week thus far..." Silva was going over the shops records making sure that everything was properly adding up. It had been a busy week for The Crow's Cage, many adventurers, aspiring and veteran alike, had been flooding the place non stop thanks to the expedition that was announced. Although now that it was finally underway activity in the potion shop had died down; giving Silva the chance to to properly go over her records and take stock all the while Dr Crow worked in the lab in the back. A thought came to her mind, along with a slight tinge of boredom. "I wonder if Dr Crow would allow me the chance to go on an expedition like that..." She thought to herself, placing her elbow on the desk and cupping her chin with the palm of her hand with a huff. "Then again I wonder if he'd even be able to keep this place from blowing up without me here..." The girl smiled, the thought amusing her slightly.

However her fantasising came to an abrupt stop at the sound of a girls voice from the front of the store. Silva immediately perked up returning to her usual straight face. "Morning. Feel free to take your time browsing our wares and let me know if you need anything. Also please keep a five foot distance minimum from the back room in case of unforeseen accidents." It was a random thing to add on to her greeting but if the girl was lucky she'd soon get to see why. Soon enough the beastman called to her requesting guidance. "Of course I'll be right there." She put away the quill back into the inkwell and closed the record book before leaving the desk and making her way over. "What may I help you with today?" The assistant spoke politely, same poker face as ever. As if her features were frozen in ice.

Vladimir Vârcolac
The Deck, At Sea
Vladimir moaned in his bed, shifting over and trying to find some solace so that he could go sleep. After setting sail to the sea a few weeks ago, he hasn't been able to sleep at all. He wasn't seasick; rather, what kept him awake at night was the incessant rocking and crashing of the waves. Vlad was more accustomed to the arid mountains of Whiteshell, where the serenity of the place could calm his nerves and the air was thin. The sea was not his gig. You can't judge a book by its cover, but it seems a little strange for a guy with his appearance and temperament to be pent up as trivial as something as the sea.

He gave up on trying to get any sleep and sat up in bed, attempting to wipe the fatigue from his face. He mentally prepared himself for the numerous sleepless nights because it would still be a few days before they reached or even saw any landforms. Vlad forced himself out of bed, went upstairs, and out onto the terrace in the hopes that the morning breeze and blue sky would help him relax today.

He climbed onto the ship's deck while wincing as he was exposed to the sunlight of the morning beating against his back. He regretted going outside when he saw that everyone was out and about this morning, which was contrary to what he had anticipated and didn't enjoy. He wasn't much for social interactions, and the fact that he knows no one onboard didn't help, largely because he avoided everyone he arrived aboard with. He made a beeline for the edge of the deck, leaned over the ship's ledge, and took in the expansiveness of the ocean in the hopes that he was less apparent than he thought he appeared to be.

Although he may not enjoy the sea, he does acknowledge its beauty. As his thoughts wandered a little bit while he took in the scenery, He would recall the moment when he first learned of an expedition that was headed to the Unknown Territory. Yet, being Vlad, he couldn't pass up the chance to go and went. He has often thought about going there, but sadly, no one has ever been willing to assist him or even take him out to sea, where there is a considerable risk of becoming stuck or being sunk by a storm. So, he gave up on that idea until he overheard a man discussing it at a pub and "confronted" him about it; in reality, he may have more or less jacked the man for information, but I digress.

Vlad had no idea what he was getting himself into, but he didn't care. He was a risk-taker at heart and always instinctively jumped into situations of life or death. It's obvious that Vlad functions best in this way, possessing considerable strategic skills, which have been employed in leadership structures, and spontaneous situations, all of which are necessary for the unpredictable environment of Mysticism. He was starting to develop more strength in the mystic arts and couldn't just do nothing while waiting for knowledge and experience to fall from the sky. He, therefore, believes that he must seek danger out rather than it finding him.

It's now been a week since, Nesta the Pirate Princess has made the decision to go on an adventure and travel to the Unknown Territory. At first Nasir was hesitant about this decision and tried to persuade her against this decision. He's heard plenty of stories about that place, problem the same everyone else has as well. Its highly dangerous and no one who ends up going there almost never returns. So he was definitely in the right mind when he, as a bodyguard, was strongly against going. But she insisted, and even threatened to go whether he was joining her or not. Well more like promised. From the time he's spent with her, he knows that woman doesn't pass out empty threats. She WILL leave him, and the moment she goes unattended, is the moment he'll be marked for death by the Pirate King himself. He spent that week prior to departure, gathering supplies from their ship and even out around town from other vendors. He even traded some fish in order to get supplies without spending money. Supplies like basic medicine needs, a few different potions, a barrel of Nesta's special beer, and of course food for Scarf.

The days he spent on board of the ship, he spent mainly conversing with, and watching over Nesta. He did have small talk here and there with some of the others, but none too rememberable. He trained, and even went for a dive into the ocean every now and then to ease his nerves. And of course he allowed Scarf to roam around the ship, since he always rather enjoyed the sea breeze and being underway. If anyone had a problem with it, would have to deal with Nasir personally.

It is now 7am, a entire week since being on board, and Nasir was still asleep in the cabins. He slept next to Nesta's rack with Scarf sleeping directly next to her as a cuddle buddy. He was the first line of defense if something went wrong with her while he was asleep. So far everything was going smoothly until Nasir started to dream about the past. He saw images of that fateful night his mother died. Still a young boy, suspended in air by a noose and his mother directly next to him. The images were clear as his father chose his own execution over his mothers. And yet again, Nasir watched and listened as the vengeful queen killed his mother. As his mother struggles to breath, he screamed and yelled for mercy in his dream. Little did he know his body was reacting the same in real time. He was shifting aggressively and saying 'No' over and over again under his breath before he spoke aloud waking himself up. His body sprung up as he was breathing heavily, with sweat trailing down his face. His breathing started to settle as he realized it was all just a dream and he was still on the ship. He wiped the sweat off his fast and rubbed his eyes. At the same time he felt something land in his rack, and climb around his neck. It was no other than his companion Scarf. He figured his little buddy hear him having a nightmare and came to comfort him. "I'm fine Scarf." He said softly scratching the top of Scarf's head. "How's Nesta?" He asked for Scarf to acknowledge with a little squeaky noise, which he understood as "Fine! Fine!". "Excellent. Go wake her for me buddy. She can't sleep all day." Nasir said and without hesitation, Scarf made his way over towards Nesta's rack and gently messed with her nose trying to wake her. He even took a step further to begin licking her.

'An exception', what a fun title. A curious time to exchange names for sure, but not one to be missed. "I am Sh'Kashta, Fish Friend to the surface dwellers." She bobbed something akin to a curtsy, the surface dweller greeting she hadn't quite mastered. Hopefully Exception was not too picky on the ways of the surface dwellers.

While Exception watched the ocean, Sh'Kashta's eyes were drawn to Hubert, as he attempted to start a fight. Though the challenged one was smaller, he seemed armed and ready for such a duel. "You're kind seem so strange to me. Never leaving homeland. How does one find food, or wealth, or even a mate. Surely you must leave nests someday?" Sh'Kashta was aware that most surface dwellers did not think of themselves as one group, the way her kind did. They divided up kinds by heights and hair lengths, much the way her kind divided tribes by number of limbs or teeth. Perhaps Exception's tribe did not travel, and traded or pillaged any other tribes that entered their lands.

Before Exception could begin to speak, an idea came to Sh'Kashta. "Unless, do your kind consider all land to be homeland? I have wondered why I never see surface dwellers below the waves. Even these 'ships' your kind have, rarely pass over my tribes homelands, or home-waters perhaps. But so little space do we consider 'home' before we grow enough to seek new places, and new things."

Through the churning seas of the southern sea, their vessel carved through frothy waves. The timbers of the ship creaked as it went on, languidly approaching lands unseen. It was only when the sun cast its rays on the ship's weathered planks that the figure of Kari emerged from the ship’s bowels. When her footsteps graced the ship's deck the air seemed to tremble and her pallid tresses were left to dance in the wind. The soldier’s piercing gaze scanned the boundless horizon and her eyes sparkled with the fervor of unquenched ambition and an insatiable hunger for conquest.

As she passed the crew, her movements were marked by a deliberate and forceful grace, her armored shoulders occasionally brushing against those who stood in her path. Her fierce gaze bore an expression of challenge, daring those who crossed her path to meet her stare. Some brave souls dared to lock eyes with her, only to be met with a stare as sharp and unyielding as the finest-tempered steel.

Atop the steel petals that adorned Kari's formidable form, a monstrous claymore lay strapped across her shoulders. The gargantuan blade stretched to an impressive length, its keen edge honed to a razor's sharpness, capable of cleaving through armor and bone alike. Intricate patterns were etched upon the flat of the blade. Their swirling designs were a dance of shadows and light that bespoke the ancient artistry with which the weapon had been crafted.

As Kari continued her step across the ship's timeworn planks, her gaze fell upon a hapless crew member, engrossed in some laborious task before him. With an air of authority, she approached the unsuspecting sailor and demanded, in a voice that brooked no opposition, “Find me a drink.” The bewildered crewman hesitated, his voice barely a whisper as he meekly declined her request, citing the importance of his current duties. Kari's eyes narrowed, her expression transforming into a mask of violence. She stared at the man, her gaze a wordless threat. With a faltering nod, he obeyed, abandoning his task to fulfill her command.

Kari's eyes followed the sailor's hasty departure until he vanished somewhere unseen. She gazed about the bustling deck and spied a sturdy wooden barrel nestled against the ship's railing. She approached the makeshift perch and leaned against it, her armored form exuding an air of nonchalance as she awaited the return of her obedient crewman.

Logi Laeblom

Location: The Second Frontier (IE Ship 2. Ship's gotta have a name.)

1680590621889.pngUp high above the deck, lit softly by the soft glow of twilight sat a bored Logi. Up in the crows nest back pressed against the mast lazily, legs dangling haphazardly off the side of the small wood platform with a decorated dagger in hand. The fire haired fairy twirled the blade delicately back and forth, running a cleaning cloth over its metallic surface. A whistled tune found its way through her lips as she tended to her gear, a series of long and low notes that melded loosely together, only barely suggesting the idea of a proper tune. The song was distracted and sporadic yet strangely somber, with low whines appearing in trios then slowly melding into nothing, only to pick up and repeat itself with slight variations in pitch. It was a habit Logi had picked up during her last boat ride, which brought her from her home continent of Delgrir all the way to Fiora. She hadn't expected to find herself on the high seas again so soon, but here she was. "Feckin' 'impertant business mah arse..." She mumbled to herself, still peeved about the impromptu call via letter by her father to head to the unexplored lands. 'prime opportunity' the message had stated. Logi quite disagreed. She was in no place to argue though, so here she was on another ship, struggling for ways to pass the time. Logi tilted her dagger toward the meager twilight light reflecting from the water. The light shone just as well off the blade as it did on the water, the blade had seen enough polishing at this point. Logi sighed. Still, it passed the time, so Logi sheathed one decorated blade and unsheathed another, preparing her polishing rag...

It was around two hours later- around eight maybe? Clouds had obscured the sun, making accurate time telling difficult- Logi's fellow passengers began to rouse and come onto the main deck. One, named Luca if Logi was not mistaken, had been loitering about for around an hour or so now. Logi thought better of bothering the scholarly fellow though, at least not for now. The man carried an obnoxious pride for everything about himself, including the massive stick lodged his ass. Too much headache for such a peaceful morning. The ship was full of colorful characters for Logi to prod at anyways, a suspiciously eccentric group really. Not that Logi wasn't equally eccentric. As people began to trickle out onto the main deck Logi made her way down from the crows nest, hopping deftly down the rope ladder two to three rungs at a time, wings fluttering to keep her balanced as she sped down to the deck.

With a soft click Logi's boots touched down on the wooden deck. She took a moment to dust off the front of her simple jumper skirt; a stand in outfit for her usual leather armor since it would be filthy were it worn every day. Logi took a moment to scan her prospects. Luca, Rina and Vi were already conversing and she didn't see a point in butting in. Her head turned to Vlad. Didn't seem much for conversation, like he just wanted to fly under the radar. Luminita seemed interesting. Pensive looking woman, the fairy couldn't say she wasn't intrigued. Logi was just about to approach the knightly woman when Kari emerged, walking about as if she owned the whole damn ship. Flaunting about like that wasn't something normal people just did, it was most certainly a challenge. Logi could assume that was simply Kari's modus operandi, but that meant nothing to the mischief maker. A challenge it still was, and Logi never backed away from a challenge.

Sauntering up to where the intimidating woman sat, Logi tilted her head up to her with a cocky grin. "Kari! Kip weel, ah 'ope." The fairy fluttered up to sit upon the railing on which Kari perched, forcing herself to the front of the other woman. "Yae dinnae mind if ah ca' yae Kari, richt?" She asked, still with that confident grin upon her face. Logi crossed one leg over the other and folded both hands on her knee, leaning forward just barely into the comfort of the other woman's personal space in an attempt to force Kari's attention.

Cecil may have noted the warning of staying away from the back room, but that didn't stop her curiosity as she peeked over toward it. I wonder what they're doing back there that could have a potential of "unforeseen accidents". The Lioness thought with a gentle shake of her head and waited for the girl to come up to her, giving her some assistance. Though the girl seemed quite stone-faced What happened to her that she thinks that brings in customers. Biting her lip in thought, she spoke "First of all," she threw her arm around the girl "Smile a little bit!" she said with a laugh "Trust me, I'm the least annoying of probably more than half your customers that come in here." her tail flicked a little bit before using her other arm and hand to point around some random potions she hadn't seen before in other stores. "Tell me about these weird uncommon ones. Obviously there's your common ones for healing and all that fun stuff. But I want to know what these mysterious concoctions have."

"Is there like, super strength, super speed, oooo maybe night vision? Granted my beastmen eyes wouldn't need them but they'd be helpful."
she plucked a smaller vial and looked at the pink liquid in it "Is this like a small love potion or something?" bringing the vial towards the girl, she looked down at her "Or is this some potion that can be thrown and melt someone's skin off?" the woman couldn't help but grin at all the wild ideas she was coming up with. Though she was probably just either overwhelming the girl or possibly irritating her further than she already was. A laugh left her lips as she removed her arm from the poor woman "Sorry, I could get a bit overwhelming." Cecil crossed her arms behind her head and stood there next to her "You know us beastmen, always being the rowdy bunch."

Luminita Spatafora

People slowly filed onto the deck; it was the morning social hour, apparently. Nita could not fault people for being people—familiarizing themselves with one another, forming bonds—but experience had stopped her from trying over the past week.

A militaristic and powerful woman had made her presence known. This must have been the infamous Kari, whose forceful nature intimidated many. Nita, however, was not so easily daunted. She stared the heavy swordsman in the eye momentarily, acknowledging her presence. Before she could simply return to her usual pondering, though, she heard the flitting of wings and, subsequently, the probing words of that fairy girl, with that accent thick as concrete. Wait... Did she say 'Kari'...!?

Nita threw her head back around to watch this spectacle. The irreverent fairy had invaded Kari's personal space to engage her in conversation. The paladin immediately pivoted around to approach; maybe she could prevent a murder before they made landfall. Nita interrupted with a small, slow ripple of Applause. "You must enjoy playing with fire, girl," she started while sauntering towards them, arms folded. Her brow had furrowed; something about this moment piqued her interest. "I know few aboard this ship bold enough get in her face, let alone within arm's reach. Who are you?"

Kiara Solarius

IMG_7531.jpgKiara took in a small whiff of the familiar smell she’d picked up. One she knew all too well from the local tavern here in Altair. The scent of him wasn’t hard to discern. It was floral. It reminded her of one of those upscale and cute tea houses. Or perhaps a field of flowers, splattering many colors upon the vibrant green of grass for as long as the eye could see. It was annoyingly pleasant and a tiny bit ironic given his employment status. The man served liquor in a bustling loud establishment but seemed more suited for a quiet place of business. Not that she’d judge. Benji had always been kind when it came to her.

That once remorseful look faded off into one filled with confusion when she felt his hand lift her chin up so that she was peering up towards him. The honey of her own eyes shone off his golden ones and she stared into his eyes to catch the reflection of herself. Man, she had to admit that she looked like hell. A lazy smile tugged at the corners of her lips, daring to stretch into a grin that was far more playful. Tiredness won in the end and she settled for something more half hearted while she listened to him speak.

Service with a smile? “ She finally echoed, retracing his statement aloud with a nonchalant air. “ Wouldn’t that make me look a little more crazed if I chased after people with a smile plastered on my face? They might confuse me needing to capture them for wanting to eat them alive. “ Those lips curved even more and it exposed a row of pearly white and sharp canines.

All jesting aside, Kiara wondered why she was being so secretive about her encounter with Mikhail. She hadn’t even mentioned it to her sister. That wouldn’t have gone over too well. The man would have the more savage of the two hot on his trail if Cecil found out someone had used the more sinister of the magics against her sister. Kiara had laid awake, restless, that very night. Contemplating. Curious. Wondering. Trying to get to the root of what kind of magic could make someone feel such a way. It couldn’t be good. There was no good intent behind it and the feeling that had nestled like an unwanted visitor that wouldn’t leave was unsettling.

Perhaps she could tell Benji… He always seemed so calm and collected. Maybe the man knew of a way to help her part with the negative lingering effects that magic had had on her. It was a longshot but it was better than eventually snapping and tearing someone’s limbs clean off from their body if her rage went unchecked. “ Say Benji… “ Her tail flicked to and fro and her eyes cast themselves towards the ground, unable to hold eye contact. It got exceedingly difficult when he interrupted her and leaned forward to stare at the moon pendant upon her person. A hand shot up and hid it from view before taking a hasty step back to put more distance between them. She felt extremely protective of it for some reason. Her fingers curled around it tightly, hammering in the fact that it wasn’t going to be the new topic of conversation. Out of sight, out of mind.

My sister and I have our sun necklaces. “ Kiara retorted with a tiny bite to her tone. “ Forget the pendant, okay? It’s not important. What do you know about black magi– “ She began to inquire, wanting to get answers to the many questions racing through her mind faster than the speed of sound.

Again, interrupted. This time it wasn’t by Benji, luckily for him, and Kiara twisted in place to face the newcomer whose scent was overpowering Benji’s floral and gentle one with one that smelled like someone who clearly needed to bathe. That nose of hers wrinkled up quickly in disgust and she crumpled the paper up within her now curled fist the second he asked for it. But he did look pitiful. The state of his disheveled and beaten body made her stomach churn the slightest. A few memories rose to the surface from when she was a kid as she looked him over with more scrutiny.

I don’t think you can do this one alone. “ She began to uncrumple the posting. It was barely legible through all the wrinkles. “ Not like that anyways... You look rough. In a rather ruffled, black and blue, bad ass way though. “ She motioned from his head to his feet with that same hand. “ I’ll help you and you can keep the reward. You need it more than me. Let’s get you a healing potion first. “ She exclaimed loudly, making the decision on the fly and shooting out the hand that once kept the moon pendant out of view to grab the stranger by a fistful of his shirt. It was friendly enough but she was ready to increase her grasp tenfold if he tried to struggle or escape.

You should tag along to make sure I don’t murder him by dunking him in the harbor for a bath. Salt water does wonders. “ She smirked over her shoulder over at Benji and started tugging Toshi away from the notice board and towards the Crow’s Cage. “ I’m Kiara by the way. “ She continued to pull him as they neared the shop and its sign loomed into view.

Olfa

Olfa walked outside the front of the B&B, the tavern now manned by the few bartenders on the new shift. He looked around the are outside the tavern. The cobble road lined with sidewalks and many buildings gave the city its own breath of life. It was a lived in city, a true monument to the people within its land. Many shops and homes all held themselves brightly as the sun shined on them. The B&B bustled with people as many drank and hollered through out its interior. The new drinks surely were a hit with the patrons that visited the tavern. Returning inside Olfa wasted no time heading towards the back and checking his stock of items. From roots, warts, humors, and medicines, Olfa took an inventory of everything to see what he needed to buy. Marking off a list of items and amounts, Olfa readied himself to find a shop he could maybe find his needed ingredients from.

Walking down the sidewalk, Olfa found a few shops advertising humors and roots for sale but none having the specialized items he required. Going a few blocks down, he would find a shop named The Crows Cage. The shopfront itself was clean and stone, just like any other respectable establishment in the area. It had a occasional leaving and entering guest, many seeming more sophisticated then the average occupant of the city. Bounding on this being the most likely place to have what he would need, Olfa opened the door and took a few steps in before smelling and seeing a familiar person. Or beastwoman to be exact.
A jingle of the front door bell sounded off as the door close again with Olfa stepping farther into the store, observing a few shelves of potions before coming to his friend and the lady behind the counter.
"Well, if it isn't the better half of the Solarius'. Don't think you will find fur dye here Cecil."
Olfa smiled as he cracked his light hearted jab to Cecil, giving a welcoming tone to his compliment of Cecil being the better half of her lineage. With this, he also waved to the nice looking lady who seemed to be being bombarded with the high fire questions of the crazy cat lady, an expected norm for Olfa over even this short week of knowing Cecil.

Salamander
Ban "Benji" Mido
The cool morning breeze.
Gentle and calming.
A beautiful day for seeing flowers and blossom trees.
His eyes glanced down into her face and . . . confusion was not one of the emotions he thought he would be seeing today. Well, perhaps it was fair considering he just stumbled upon her and showed up out of the blue, but Benji thought she'd be a little happier to see him or perhaps keep to her more melancholic attitude, if her downcast expression was anything to go by. Perhaps he misread the situation. After all, her hair had been down and covered most, if not all, of her face.

But he doubted it. She did not lash out like that. The confusion was from his arrival. Especially with that smile beginning to form on her face. There she was. There was his Kiara. That signature lazy smile told him everything he needed as well as her little remark.

"Well, I think it'd show them how unafraid and strong you are,"
Benji smiled back, adopting a lazy smirk of his own yet his words rung more true than joking. Smiling was its own kind of magic.

His head tilted to the side as his eyebrows raised slightly as he finished his inspection of her new pendant, realizing he had interrupted her. An accident. But his brow furrowed in concern as her voice took an edge to it over the pendant. He knew the pair of sisters had matching necklaces, but the way she clutched onto the pendant. She seemed almost too protective of the item and not because it was new. His eyes flicked across her entire body language. She was too guarded right now.

What was wrong? She was not nearly as protective of her necklace, if only because she worn it for so long and it became almost like a natural part of you. But this pendant seemed a new accessory as he had never seen on her before, and one he was beginning to think he recognized. As he listened to her words, Benji's suspicions began to come more and more true. Black magic. She was going to say black magic before someone so rudely interrupted as a voice called out right behind him. The young and recent tavern owner stepped to the side before casting a glance at the stranger.

Shocking red hair and the clothing he wore denoted a certain cultural heritage. That or the man bought the clothing thinking it looked dashing. No armor and yet was looking at the board. Quick on his feet? Agile? And that sword at his hip. A swordsman but not a knight. Interesting.

"Yes, sure. No problem. Here. Go ahead,"
Benji stepped to the side a little more and nodded. The man kept a polite tone and, while the manners were not all there, had simply been direct and to the point. He could respect that much, although he definitely was not sure how Kiara would handle the sudden intrusion. Her outburst earlier had definitely changed a few of his previous notions of her more easygoing attitude.

But, no. Kiara kept a cool head as always, even though he had seen the flash of disgust on her face as she wrinkled her nose and crumpled the paper. Yes, the smell had been rather . . . unpleasant, but it was not Benji's first time dealing with such a profane assault of the senses. Perhaps she seen the direct approach the swordsman employed and respected it as much as Ban had or perhaps had more empathy for the man after he recent outburst. Although, the man's complaining about the night he had definitely left something to be desired.

The man needs to be more responsible with what he does at night. Like maybe not starting bar fights. Hm . . .

No, those wounds. Those bruises. Definitely defensive by how they formed along the arm and the callouses around the knuckles certain proved the swordsman was a trained hand-to-hand fighter. But these bruises and wounds were too organized, too . . . professional for a bar fight. Curious. That and this man seemed to be standing with little issue, either hiding the pain and any serious internal wounds or the bruises were the worst of it. Whatever the matter, the man was alive and breathing and looking for a job. Benji's eyes followed the redhead's as the swordsman looked at the job in her hand. To the medicine man's surprise, Benji saw Kiara begining to fix the parchment, smoothing it out. So she was willing to share the job?

Benji was not sure how he would have reacted if she just gave it away. The man might have needed it but perhaps so did she to take her mind off of what was bothering her. Although, would that really have worked? No.

"I don't think he really looks badass at all, aside from the attire. Just bruised and beaten,"
Benji remarked, looking the man over once more and directing the conversation towards the swordsman,
"I think you should let me-."

Whatever had been racing through Kiara's mind--perhaps prevent Benji from spending time and resources on fixing the man up--to have her suddenly grab the redhead by his clothing and yanking him away, it had certainly worked to put an end to all discussion as she seemed deadset on getting the redheaded man a potion. Adopting a lazy swagger to his walking gait, Benji put his hands behind his head as he followed after them. His expression shifted to surprise as Kiara invited him along to keep her from drowning the poor guy in saltwater.

Benji chuckled,
"Honestly, he could use a bath. I'm not entirely opposed to it. It would definitely disinfect his wounds while he took the potion to heal."

The medicine man shrugged while closing his eyes for a moment before opening them again and resuming his more nonchalant expression. It was simply true and, as much as Benji could have made light of it or a witty joke, it would probably be an injustice to the man who had been so direct with them to not show the same courtesy back, to simply be honest and upfront.

"I'm Benji. Nice to meet you,"
the young medicine man's introductions were cut short as his eyes widened as he read the sign of the shop they were approaching,
"Oh, no. Kiara, you do know the man behaves like a crackpot? I could make something for our friend here. Even add strawberries to make it go down easier."

The Crow's Cage. Alchemy and potions shop. Alchemy is not a foreign concept to Benji. But when one is faced with short supplies of magical herbs or chemicals or simply lacking the necessary coin to buy them, one learned to make do with other non-magical herbs or ingredients or even less potent, more cost effective variations. Benji did not have access to an apothecary nor did he usually have the means to buy their supplies.

"Well, let's see what the old Crow has for us this time. Hopefully he doesn't give any free samples that make us tap out for the day. That would be embarrassing."

Stepping ahead and pressing his hand against the door, Benji would hold the door open for the pair to walk through. As he did so and casting a glance in Kiara's and Toshi's direction, his head turned to look inside to find two individuals he had not been expecting to be here, but he certainly had heard the distinct murmur of their voices through the door.

"Cecil! Olfa! What a happy coincidence! How are you both?"

As the conversation lulled, Mikhail chanced to further scrutinize the mercenary beyond that inky black gaze. Elof’s height, frame, and physiognomy bespoke an inhuman heritage, yet he held none of the usual pointers that denoted a species. It was a marker of mixed blood—Mikhail was certain that the mercenary was at least one part fairy. As for the half that remained…his mind could only wonder. Mikhail’s scrutinization was heedless of the man’s boundaries and his glare had only ceased when the shorter man spoke up. Elof had a peculiar way of speaking, he had thought, it was brief and to the point; it was entirely unlike himself.

His previously playful disposition had darkened, and the brevity at which the fairy spoke had fueled a storm of vexation beneath the genial exterior that he usually carried. Mikhail's words emerged from between gritted teeth, his voice strained as he sought to maintain an air of civility. "Afraid you'll lose?" he questioned, each syllable dripping with a blend of frustration and challenge. He paused and took a moment for introspection, Mikhail appeared to wrest control over the annoyance that began to bubble in his psyche. He took a deep, calming breath, and the smile that had once adorned his face returned, albeit with a softer, more subdued quality.

"Forget I asked," Mikhail whined, the disappointment evident in his forlorn tones. "A fight is hardly worth it without a prize at the end." The once tantalizing prospect of competition seemed to have lost its luster to the demon; with a dramatic flourish, Mikhail heaved a long exhale. As he languidly placed his arms behind his head, he cast a wistful glance at Elof and spoke, "My favor wouldn't have gotten you killed... My intentions were the stark opposite.” There was a half-fictitious longing between words that was far from subtle.

Perhaps another time. Once we’ve developed more trust, as I believe you put it.” Mikhail's gaze shifted to the array of weaponry he carried, and he let out an appreciative whistle. His eyes swept over the collection and he sought to project an image of admiration. “You should be more confident in your abilities. With that arsenal, I’m sure you would’ve wiped the deck with me. I’m not much of a fighter myself, but I do have a few tricks,” he eluded, with a brief sparkle within his eyes.

"See you around," Mikhail said warmly, a genuine smile gracing his lips. "Good luck with your training." With those parting words, he exited the area and carved a path to a familiar face—the shark-like silhouette of one Sh’Kashta. There was another shape nearby, dark and forlorn, that towered above the others nearby. It was a stark contrast to the smaller man who had previously lent Mikhail his presence. As he drew nearer, he could not help himself but stare. It was a bad habit of his, one that he always practiced unashamedly.

As Mikhail ambled over to Sh'Kashta he casually draped an arm around her neck. Presenting her with a wide, toothy smile, he exuded an aura of camaraderie that seemed to envelop them both. With a hint of curiosity in his voice, he inquired, "Have you seen that beast-woman or lion, anytime between now and the last time we both saw her?” As Mikhail mentioned the cat beast-woman, his voice, once steady and composed, began to waver ever so slightly. A tremor, barely perceptible, betrayed his intent. His hand seemed to grasp at something that was no longer there, a crescent, if the fish recalled.

As his gaze shifted, Mikhail caught a closer look at the striking elf woman standing near Sh'Kashta. Unable to contain his intrigue, he asked with interest, "Who is your beautiful friend?" Simultaneously extending a hand towards the ethereal figure, he offered his own name, "I'm Mikhail, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." He had already forgotten the other name he had given Sh’Kashtha and was caught unaware of how the two might conflict in her mind.

Cecil listened to the girl before she heard a familiar voice. Ears moving towards the source before her head turned to reveal the Bear she spoke to a few days ago. "Listen, I don't need fur dye for these wonderful silver locks." The Lion quipped back before responding to his joke "If you think I'm the better half, surely you haven't known me long enough." If he didn't understand what she meant by that, she surely did. Despite being older than Ki, all she wanted to do was protect her and want her to thrive more than herself. That's why she always worked hard, did things that could make people see her as something else. Cecil held her sister up on the high horse, knowing she would prevail much more than she would. "Gotta talk with Ki some more, you'll learn quickly she's definitely the better half." she said with a smile and a soft laugh as she meant every word. Then she heard another familiar voice and she tilted her head to the side to look by Olfa "Oh shit, hey Benji. Just restocking for Ki and I."

Then she caught it. That whiff of dried blood, dirt, and whatever the hell else which made her scrunch up her nose. What the fuck is that smell? looking beyond Ban, she could barely see the possible culprit and...Ooo! Was that her sister? Sniffing a bit more, trying to get by that horrible smell, she could barely get her sister through that smell "Seems like you brought the whole gang. Making this girl's day more busier than I thought." she looked down at Silva and patted her arm "Sorry. Didn't mean to bring the crowd after me. Now you're gonna be busy." she teased with a laugh as she fully turned towards everyone "I got the lady first! Learning what these new-lookin potions are. Then you can have her." of course she was clearly being playful, with her tail waving lazily behind her. It was nice to know that Ki was okay and that she was basically in Cecil's radius. Deep inside, the woman knew she couldn't always be there for Ki and she needed to eventually run on her own where she couldn't be there to protect her anymore.

Though she wasn't ready to come to terms with that yet.

Luca saw a figure nearing him out of the corner of his eye. He didn't exactly want to be bothered, but it seemed that it was inevitable since he was stuck on a ship with a crew of people. He recognized the figure to be that of Rina. He had seen her sweep around the ship a few times before. He didn't see the point of it, the task having no purpose but to keep a person preoccupied. "I was enjoying this book but it seems that is coming to a close." He said, closing the book and turning towards Rina. He still wasn't used to her method of communication, she was the first person that communicated in that manner. "I don't know why you continue to pick up that broom stick. You're not forced to do it." Luca said, shifting his focus to the newcomer.

Luca scoffed at the remark that Viasia made. "Your kind isn't exactly the greatest at mathematics or reading." Luca said, putting his book back into his pouch. "Besides, I'm just about finished with the book anyways. It would be a boring trip if I finished it in the first day." Reading was the only thing that could preoccupy him most of the day. There wasn't much to do after completing all of the tasks that were needed. Luckily, he packed a decent number of books to get him through the trip.

He didn't like Viasia all that much, in fact, there wasn't much to like about her. Her most positive trait was probably her large chest. Luca found it hard to be fond of many of the people on the boat, he just needed to be amicable enough to not endanger the mission. That was the top thing on Luca's mind at all times. Failure wasn't an option.

Rina's gaze watched as he closed the book and turned toward her to give her his full attention. I'm surprised he's being nicer today. Maybe he's just having a good morning? She thought before responding "Oh I know I don't have to sweep around. Though I just like having something to do, and sweeping gets me moving around the boat instead of staying in the same spot." With a shrug, she then glanced over at Vi who joined the pair, making the girl smile at the large beastwoman "Yes I did! I was up a little earlier but eh, got myself busy right away!" A giggle escaped her lips as Vi pointed out that Luca's face had been stuck in that book for the past week. Well she isn't wrong about that. He's been reading a lot, but not like there's anything else to do other than clean or do some interacting with the rest of the crew. Looking between the two, her eyes widened as Luca basically started talking shit about the Beastmen race and she nudged Vi with her elbow. "OooOOoOoo Are you gonna let him talk smack Vi? Huh?"

If anything it sounded like she was instigating...Which she was because let's face it, there needed to be some excitement. "Luca you talk very big for someone who's talkin' to a Beastwoman. Do you see how big she is!?" Rina gestured to the woman with both her stature and those ripped muscles "She could crush me with these massive thighs!" The Dwelven smacked a thigh and with all that muscle, it didn't even go anywhere. "She could suffocate you with these big melons too!" A laugh actually started to make it's way up and out of her, finding the situation already pretty funny. Sure, it was possible Luca wouldn't find it funny but hopefully they could crack something of this man "Do you think you can beat her in a sword battle? Talkin' smack on her intelligence but can you back that up with a fight? You should know that fighting requires skill and a clear head to pull off half the shit you do. Can't go in head first with no idea what to do, right? Could get yourself hurt."

While she was instigating, she was hearing others start to awaken and come above deck. An audience would form soon if the pair did get into a fight, though she knew it was possible that it wouldn't happen. Not unless she started picking and prying at someone's ego or pushing more of a fight to break out. Would that be a good idea? Fighting on the boat? Oh well, she started it, she was gonna see where it was gonna go. Rina even began to rock on her heels to her toes out of excitement.

"I am Sh'Kashta, Fish Friend to the surface dwellers." The introduction seemed well-timed to Faraine, who thought nothing of it. Especially not that the girl assumed the half-elf's name was 'Exception'. Her eyes remained focused on the waves ahead, although it was getting harder and harder due to the sun reflecting against the water. Faraine blinked a few times, rubbing her eyes whilst turning around to face opposite of the sun. "Your kind seem so strange to me. Never leaving homeland. How does one find food, or wealth, or even a mate. Surely you must leave nests someday?"

Faraine too had similar questions about her Giant heritage. It was always trivial to her to remain in one area and focus on one's routine for life. However, she learned that the mundane brought solace to many. "Unless, do your kind consider all land to be homeland? I have wondered why I never see surface dwellers below the waves..." Faraine remained silent whilst the curious woman rambled, finding her similar to a child finally exploring the world. Or, herself, years and years prior. Full of questions and curious spirit.

Fond thoughts quickly dissipated, pointed ears twitching as they heard footsteps approaching herself and her new acquaintance. Faraine let her hands fall back to her sides, blinking rapidly and quickly adjusting to the light to find an oddly friendly blonde with a staring problem. He didn't even try to hide the blatant analytic gaze, which was of no surprise to Faraine. It was a frequent occurrence during her travels, since she towered over most.

Unamused, Faraine watched as the stranger wrapped his arm around Sh'Kashta so casually, "Have you seen that beast-woman or lion, anytime between now and the last time we both saw her?" Maybe they were friends, considering how jovial he acted. Either way, Faraine could tell that he sincerely hoped Sh'Kashta had the answer he needed. Even his hand seemed to grab at nothing, which willed the bounty huntress to glance between the pair, her features remaining neutral. "Who is your beautiful friend?" Faraine didn't react, her gaze lowering to meet with his extended hand, "I'm Mikhail, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Ah, the dreaded moment came. Small talk. Her disdain was evident now, her hands remaining at her sides as she eyed him up and down. "Hello Mikhail. Have you not laid eyes on a Giant before?" Her tone remained unamused, sarcasm creeping its way in. It was quite odd for him to give off such a strong air of charisma when his disregard for others was so blatant moments prior.

Thankfully, the conversation would be interrupted by a figure that towered even Faraine's. "Morning." For the first time in months, the Giant was reminded that she was a runt compared to most of her kind. She didn't mind. In fact, she welcomed the fact that there would be someone else for the adventurers to stare at besides herself.

There was a moment of what many would consider an awkward pause, since Faraine decidedly did not introduce herself, and the new acquaintance took a beat to realize Faraine's existence. "I'm Vidius, V's fine if you'd prefer. Pleasure to meet you all." Faraine was now puzzled. The nod towards the pair a moment prior implied he knew them both, but he directed his statement to everyone. His friendly smile emanated a much more casual charisma compared to the boisterous Mikhail, but it didn't stop Faraine from wondering what the goal was, here..

The half-giant observed a little more, noting that the trio in front of her were an odd match indeed. Sh'Kashta's prescience upon the ship made sense, considering she was simply a curious woman ready to see the world. The two blondes, however, were another story. Dark irises eyed them both, returning gift of blatant staring Mikhail graciously put her through. "You both do not adventure often." It was not a question, but a statement. A thought spoken aloud. "Why the change of heart?"

Her words portrayed curiosity, but her instinctive crossing of her arms proved to give away her wariness. For the most part, many on the ship have been easy to read, so it struck her as worrisome that these two wanted to get closer to the naïve woman from the sea.

Toshiro's head tilted in question as the lioness decided to crumble the paper. His eyes were focus on her as she spoke, and instantly doubting him. "Excuse me?" He questioned. He didn't know if she was showing true concern or about to talk some shit. His eyes shifted towards the paper as she unraveled it, then back up to her. It seemed she was more concerned about his appearance than his actual ability to do the job. A small grin formed on his face as he took her words as a compliment. However, the words from the man standing next to her caused it to fade. "I've looked worse honestly." He spoke glancing over at him, eyes sizing him up and down. Not in a threatening manner, but more as if he was analyzing him. He took note of the man's physique, which seemed to be rather toned. As if he spent some time training his body for something. Fighter? Soldier? Potential Opponent? For now, Toshiro kept his thoughts to himself.

He shifted his attention back towards the lioness who's words actually took him by surprised. "Free aid, and I get to keep all the money? Deal." He stuck his hand out just expecting the lioness to shake his hand, but instead she grabs his shirt. "Uhh what are you doing?" He questioned looking a bit confused. "Wait dunk me where?? Okay, okay I ain't sign up for this now." He placed a hand on the lioness's wrist and tried to remove her hand. But to his surprised her grip immediately tightened as she began tugging on him, with strength that caught him off guard. "This is just great." He said as he accepted his fate and started walking with the lioness. "Just so y'all now, I can bathe my damn self. Just get me some damn soap."

Kiara and Benji, two unlikely people he expected to meet today. "Name's Toshiro." His eyes drifted up to the sign of the shop they're approaching. "Crow's Cage? The fuck kind of place are y'all taking me to?" He asked, looking at them both, just to get no real answers. Just that there's an old crow who gives out weird samples. Just Benji held the door open, and Toshiro was pulled in. He looked around in awe as he saw tons of different potions. There were tons of potions, all different colors and sizes, with effects he could only imagine. "Oooh it's a potion joint. Nice." He said to himself nodding his head still looking around. Then he heard Benji calling out to people. "Does everyone know each other in this town?" Again speaking to himself.

Looking towards the front, he noticed Benji talking to a giant beastman, and another lioness. Sisters? Interesting. He thought to himself, before walking up towards the group of people who was originally there. "Excuse me, my furry friend.” He spoke easing his way around Olaf. Then looks at Silva. “Excuse me. I know y’all busy, but can I get a healing potion. My fucking body hurts. And before you ask I don't have any money. So if you need a job done, then we can work a deal." Again, Toshiro jumps the gun and gets straight to the point trying to get what he needs. Is it rude? Maybe, but what's done is done.

Valorie had basically took home on the crows nest on this mission to the Unknown Territory. Out of all the places she could have been like down underneath with the rest of the group, she chose to be at the highest point of the boat. The Fairy rubbed her eyes while she laid on the ground of the nest and let out a yawn. As soon as her eyes fluttered open, she noticed that it was just a bit cloudy this morning. "I expected to be met with the sun." Val said aloud as she sat herself up and looked around. Still at sea. They said it'd be about two months right? It's only been a week. Which meant there was more time to sit around and do nothing pretty much. While stretching out her limbs, her caramel-colored eyes looked down towards the deck where she saw plenty of the group gathering around and socializing. "Well good morning to them too." A smile tugged her lips as she straightened herself up and grabbed both her bag that she used as a pillow and her Holy Staff to mount on her back before descending down to the deck.

"I didn't know we were all gonna be up this early!" Val said aloud, her boots thudding against the wooden ladder she continued her decent. Now while she didn't recall everyone's name, she would still try her best to match the faces to the names. Though, if their name was unique enough, she'd for sure remember it. When close enough to the surface where she knew she wouldn't break a leg, she jumped and landed with a crouch, all the while for sure making enough noise with her landing. Now as a Fairy, Val could adjust her size to be just as big as everyone else...Though...That was impossible because she already hit the max height for the average human and couldn't go further than that. It didn't help that both her parents were Fairies, which prevented her from being any taller than 5'7. "You know, it kinda sucks when some of you are giants. Making me break my neck here." Between the large Mercenary-lookin Elf ( leviohsa leviohsa ) as well as the White-haired giant man ( jupiter. jupiter. ) they were pretty tall. Hell, she would be like a child on their shoulders if she even tried to be.

Putting a hand on her hip, she saluted the group "But good morning to you guys." ( Spiderverse Spiderverse Thropian Thropian Horror Horror Goonfire Goonfire included ) Before looking around to the others who hadn't joined the group yet, especially a blonde male who was already drinking this morning and a fox beastmen "Look at that, someone knows how to just hang around and just relax. You're not planning on getting drunk today are you?" Val asked the blonde jokingly ( Slav Slav ) because lets face it, this morning was very nice so far. Some decent interaction with the locals of the boat and maybe some sunshine later. "Gonna keep him in check right?" Valorie giggled, hoping they'd both take the joke lightly.

Silva was caught off guard by the lioness throwing her arm over her shoulder commenting on her lack of smile. "Honestly this is how I always look... It really has nothing to do with annoyance." She tried to reassure the customer. "Besides customers are really the least of my troubles. Really..." She said as she peered towards the back room where her boss was conducting his own work. The white haired lioness wanted to know about some of the more uncommon potions they had in stock which was understandable. Dr Crow's passion in alchemy knows no bounds and tries to appeal to as many types of customers he can. "Well... While we do have plenty of potions suitable for adventuring and combat. We also have some dedicated to improving the average person's quality of life. Such as alleviating flu symptoms or even shall I say a literal cure for hangovers." It would be hard to go into detail describing every potion they had or else they'd be here forever. The customer picked out a potion from the shelf, one with a viscous looking pink liquid and started making random guesses as to what it does, one of which being a love potion. "Even if we could make that kind of potion I don't think it would be very ethical to try manipulating someone's emotions..." She said with a slight smile, amused by the lioness' wild imagination. "To answer your question that's actually an Eagle Eye potion. It will allow you to see much further ahead for about five minutes. Let's say give or take... 2 or 3 miles further. Could prove useful if you need to scope out an area rather than carelessly wandering into a potentially dangerous place."

Their chat was cut off by the arrival of more customers. First came a large bear beastman who seems to know the lioness, calling her Cecil and her calling him Olfa in turn. Both talking about... Fur dye? It quickly turned out to be a joke between friends. Yet still... "Funny you should mention that... We do happen to have some potions that can alter the pigmentation of hair and fur." Silva spoke out in the off chance they would be interested. Then came the other customers... 3 more in fact! Looks like today won't be so boring after all. Two humans and another lioness, again all people that seem to know each other well enough it didn't take much to tell that the other lioness was Cecil's relative given her reaction. One person from the crowd strolled up looking to grab Silva's attention. He said he needed a healing potion and also said he didn't have any money, trying to strike a deal instead. "I see... You may have to take that one up with the owner. Though he is currently... Occupied..." She glanced again at the back room, a muffled laugh could be heard within which only served to worry the assistant. Whatever it was he was cooking up in there it could only end badly. "If you don't mind waiting the Doctor will be out momentarily... In the meantime I would recommend waiting a bit further away from the back room door..."

Ciaran maintained a playful, toothy grin as he anticipated the Templar's response. However, what reached his ears first was the voice of another. Cranking his head around, he matched a face with the voice: the girl from the crow's nest. He could tell she was simply checking up on the others and socializing. There wasn't much else to do, after all.

"I doobt yer the type to git utterly plastered," Ciaran added for the knight before turning back to the holy mage. "It won't stop me from tryin' to get 'im drunk." The laugh that followed told them he wasn't serious, but he made sure they knew. "I joke! I joke! Let's just say... the very least I'll do is make sure this fine lad doesn't stumble overboard. I can't hold me liquor, so drinking with 'im is out of the question."

Olfa

The amount of people almost seemed to double in a couple seconds as Olfa casually observed the shop and bantered with Cecil ( Britt-21 Britt-21 ). How his boss ( Fill Fill ), friend, friends sister, and a couple in between all happened to stop at the same shop was bewildering but interestingly cool. Before the bear was about to agree with Cecil that maybe he didn't know Ki ( Kyuubey Kyuubey ) as much as he knew Cecil, Ban had quipped in a short question to him and Cecil.

"I would say we are well. Caught Cecil here trying to find fur dye. Think she is testing out a new look" Olfa of course had to keep the playful jabs coming for Cecil. It was just amusing to him to think of Cecil coming here, of all places, solely for hair dye. He did mean the fact they were Well though, knowing that he himself has been better in this past week then in his last couple months of travelling.

Olfa was about to add in something to his previous sentence but was interrupted by a member of the party walking to the nice girl( Jackaboi Jackaboi ), talking about healing potions and being broke. Something Olfa knew all too well but something he could remedy. Well, the health part at least. He is charitable but could not part with the fruits of his labor so easily. Walking a little bit up to the side of the man, Olfa gently put his giant paw on the mans shoulder, speaking to him earnestly and empathetically. ( The Elder The Elder )

"No need to put yourself in that position. May not have money but I can help you out with whatever you got. Been doing green magic for a long while, some may even say I am a pretty good healing bear. My name is Olfa by the way, my not so furry friend." Olfa chuckled as he called himself a healing bear. The name was just funny but it held a more ironic taste in his mind. He was not always known for his healing, not at all.

Looking to the girl, Olfa shook his free paw as to not push the girl into rushing whoever Mr. Crow was. "No need to rush your boss. I think I will be able to help our friend here." Olfa gave a considerate smile to the girl, his eyes observing everything about her. Not in a weird way but almost like he was, scanning her to save her image. It seemed like a mental photo copy, something Olfa does so he can't forget to put names to peoples faces. After a few seconds, he would look back to Cecil and joke once more.

"It's a sign of the universe Cecil, magical fur dye and the Solarius' twins in the same building, not just a coincidence. I am telling you. Will have to color yourself red for the sake of the sign." Olfa chuckled once more and shook his head to show he was just kidding. He may have been rolling out the jokes at Cecil's hairs expense. He thought she looked fine as is, no need for such a radical change in color. She was simply complimented by her normal existence. But would still be a good laugh to see a dyed Cecil.

The templar's gaze shifted over to the beastman as he inquired about his motivations to be here. After lowering the mug from his face, Carlisle began to stroke his chin as he pondered his question. He thought it was clear as to why he was on the ship, to experience an adventure that didn't involve war. Being among this group of people wouldn't have been his first choice, but it was almost impossible to shelter yourself from the evils of the world. That's why he wouldn't let the evil on this ship deter him from fulfilling some of his own desires. You can't let evil win.

Before Carlisle could answer Ciaran, Valorie decided to join in on the conversation. "This is like drinking water to me. A good hearty ale was my lifeline when I was out on campaigns against the evil of this world. It's never too early to enjoy a pint or two." Carlisle said with a small smile. Valorie was somebody he didn't mind have conversations with. There weren't many people on the boat that he was fond of, Valorie happened to be one of them. Ciaran was another lad that he got along with. He always tried to see the good in people despite their flaws. That's why it always seemed like he could talk with anyone.

Carlisle returned his gaze to Ciaran, having an answer to his question. "I'm here on this ship for the same reason as you, to be on an adventure. When you've fought as many battles as me a change of scenery is needed to get out of that brutality. That's why even a templar like me can sit on this ship. I desire to experience something different, even if I have to sit on the same ship of the evil I've sworn to protect others against." It certainly wasn't an easy thing for Carlisle to do. He just found it necessary to fully commit himself if he was going to go on an adventure.

Let's Wrestle | Viasia “Vi” Fistheart
Boat 2
The tall beast woman stood up after hearing these racial remarks. She never thought a human would have such an ego. She stared at Luca. How dare he disgrace her people; deeming them inferior to him. Her rage was quickly paused as she felt a small hand smack her thigh. She looked down and saw Rina and a tiny red hand mark on her mid-thigh. "She could crush me with these massive thighs!” Viasia slightly blushed ”She could suffocate you with these big melons too!" Vi glanced at her chest after hearing that comment. She didn't think they were that big since giants are a thing. As she looked back at Luca, she could tell that he was staring at her jugs. “You have your eyes on something you like,” she asked Luca, calling him out in the process. "Do you think you can beat her in a sword battle?" A sword battle? That did seem a little fun but no if she was going to fight the Blonde haired Blunt she needed to make things challenging for her.

She was a master swordsman and based on the books she saw in Luca’s bag he was good at magic. Then she had an idea. “I like this fight idea. I need to work up an appetite anyway.“ Vi stretched a bit, ensuring she had the element of surprise. Looking like she was going for another set of stretches, she instead went for the Luca, grabbing him by his shirt, yanking him forward into a headbutt, and then suplexing him over her. Viasia got up and took two steps back from Luca. "If we’re gonna fight, we’re going to make it fun. No weapons. No magic. Just hand to hand.” She smirked, and leaned in towards her opponent “Or are you not strong enough, Blondie?” she pointed to Luca’s satchel bag that was still near the side of the ship, where he was before being suplexed “If I win, I get to have one of your books… Deal? "
