I'm currently working on the first post in the actual roleplay, but don't worry, as I said before, most of the first posts will be you explaining how your character came to hear about the quest and how they arrived into the capital. Just something to let us get our foot in the doors. That being said if you are still planning to make a character or making more, do hurry as I'll only wait one more day to see if anyone else is joining before closing the character sheets and interest thread.

The island that the whole RP takes place upon has suffered several centuries of some of the worst tragedies one after another. And each time a hero has come in to end each event. Technically the prince is the hero of the current decade since he ended a line of tyrannical kings who have attempted to shape the island into a military state, with Humans being the superior race. The prince's father went even as far as wiping out or changing the history around past heroes, sending most of the other races either into poverty or chaos. Or, in some cases, allowing the mistreatment of some to become worse. Such as in the case of Changelings, who as a whole have been considered property due to the danger they pose. With Skipton being the previous capital of the entire island, Humans were had more authority than ever. However, the prince was able to uproot the entire system thanks to the aid of some rebels (Whom we will be meeting soon) and won against his father in hand to hand combat. In the battle to actually get to the castle, Skipton was unfortunately damaged while some of the king's army split off into two and escaped. Appointed the Voice of the Folks of Trade, one of the prince's companions asked that the prince at least stay to aid in the rebuilding of Skipton and begin some of the law reformings. His original plan to pursue the original capital's location halted until Skipton was in better shape. In the name of the Voice, the prince has begun to transform the castle into a temporary shelter and hospice, while also slowly weeding out nobles that still hold onto their slaves. However, he doesn't have the power yet to begin enforcing these same policies across the island nor with the races listen to him, being as he is blood-related to the previous king.
