20% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ. There are very few resources but there are a few. There are special shelters all over the country with programs to help LGBTQ youths get back on their feet.
This roleplay takes place at one of these volunteer run youth shelters in the big city. The shelter is called the Rainbow House. It is a safe place for LGBT youth and those that LOVE them. At the shelter homeless LGBT youth, ages 13-21, can access services that help the youth to become self-sufficient and empowered adults. The drop in shelter provides their services seven days a week including; three meals per day, a GED program, clothing, showers, laundry, Career Development, Case Management, educational groups, counseling, medical assistance, and anything else you might need. There is also a provides temporary overnight housing in the bunks upstairs.
