"Lucas Grey! If you shut that door and go to the pier I swear-"

"You swear what Dan? What the hell are you gonna do this time! And don't you dare threaten to pull me over your knee!"

Dale practically growled at the teen hustler about to go back to work. He didn't need to hustle. Dan took care of him. Dan clothed him, fed him, and gave him a place to sleep. The only thing Dan didn't do was give the kid cash. Why? Because Lucas would spend it all on alcohol, drugs, or something stupid he didn't need.

"Goddamn it boy! I love you like you're my own son! Stop doing this to me! One of these days you'll-"

Lucas looked at Dan and held his ground,"You're just gonna say that one of these days I'll pick up the wrong John and he'll give me it [HIV] and if he doesn't he'll kill me in another way! And what kind of father sucks their son's dick?!"

"Lucas!" Dan shouted in a final attempt to persuade the boy to stay. Before he even said the second syllable the boy was gone already heading to give pier to "work" and maybe get a little high.

7:15-

At the Rainbow House:

Leon wasn't at Adam's Apple bartending tonight. He was at the Rainbow House sitting in his office filing some paperwork. A few of volunteers for tonight's graveyard shift were already getting some things ready (putting clean sheets on the bunks, making sure there was food and drinks in the fridge, and watching the door.)

Near the pier:

Lucas walked down the road heading towards the pier. They just called it a pier to make it sound cool. In reality it was an area with a lot of warehouses near the harbor. It was a grungy place, lots of druggies and homeless people. Sadly the majority of the homeless there were teens. It was a spot for LGBTQ youth. The place was crawling with them. Lucas was certain everyone there was at least bi-curious or had been in the past. He knew a couple of the other hustler were straight boys or at least said they were (He seriously doubted that).

7:40

At the Pier:

Lucas stood against the side of a building along the pier, a row of boys beside him (all in their late teens, mid teens, and early teens, sadly there were even a couple tweens out tonight.) Lucas leaned against the wall and waited for a John. A cigarette lit in his mouth. Even though it was cold out he wore a black crop top under an unzipped leather jacket. He shivered slightly and breathed into his hands. He took a drag from the cigarette and exhaled into the air letting the smoke escape. From far away the smoke could have been mistaken for the boy's breath.

Savannah:

"Leeeeeeeeeeoooooooooon," calls Savannah from down the hall. She swings into the doorway, peering around it cutely with a grin. When she knows she has his attention, she slips into the office and approaches his desk. "Hi." She proceeds to attach sticky notes with happy faces along his desk in a rainbow. Giggling, she runs back out and heads down the hall, intending to help out with putting clean towels out by the bunks.

Samuel walked towards the pier, looking into rumors of boys selling themselves too passer by and offer them alternatives. He sighed as he remembered his own time in these places at their ages, you get all sort of clients in these places rarely of those sane. He approached the line of boys and a few instantly began calling to him to check their wares as it where, he waved them off. "Ease off, guys and here to buy what your selling."He began to say. "I am from the Rainbow house, any of you dont want to do this anymore and looking for a warm bed and food without "obligations" you can come along. We can also provide you with education for other job opportunities. You choice." he began to walk along the line repeating his message, gradually approaching Lucas.

Leon looked up at Savannah as the girl entered his office. He smiled at her. She'd been volunteering for him a long time, same with Samuel who he knew was at the peer. As she ran towards his desk he scooted back the office chair. He chuckled as she made the rainbow with the sticky notes. "Thank you my dear," he said jokingly as he got up and followed her out. Leon shut the office door and locked it before he followed her. He saw savannah enter the bunk rooms and Leon leaned against the doorway.

"Ready for some adventures tonight?" Leon asked the girl excitedly.

Lucas breathed in the smoke from his cigarette. He saw Samuel out of the corner of his eye and merely chuckled and shook his head at the boys who tried to offer themselves to him. Samuel knew who he was, or should at least recognize his face. He'd slept at the Rainbow House on more than a few occasions. The first time was he picked up some John who practically beat him to death during a bondage session. He was dropped off and thrown from the car as if he was trash. Somehow he stumbled down the road and was saved by Leon and his kindness. But this wasn't a fairytale, there would be now happily ever afters. He was working and nothing was going to distract him.

Samuel saw Lucas and frowned, his interaction with Lucas was minimal but he heard abit from Leon and had some idea of Lucas' situation. "Back here again?"He asked his disapproval evident."Well...see you when you get another bottle over your head. Or finally he loses interest. Maybe the door will be open."He walked on and began talking to the people who volunteered to come with him, he wasn't about to waste time to with someone who wasn't going to help himself.

Lucas glared at Samuel. His words stung and Lucas felt like he'd been stung in the chest by 100 bees. He couldn't listen to this man talking trash about Dan. He was defiant but a part of him liked, maybe even loved the man. Dan was there for him when he felt no one else could. The only reason he started drinking in the first place was because he lost his job. He'd been able to get a new one and Dan's violent episodes had gone down tremendously. The hustler spit on the ground near Samuel's feet.

"Don't you dare talk about him like that. He loves me. I worry him. Does someone who doesn't give a damn worry?" Lucas asked. He rolled his eyes disgusted by Samuel and the "work" he was doing. Lucas stormed off down the pier away from it. He was heading home, back to Dale's. It wasn't too late. Maybe they could watch a movie together and he'd let Lucas have a drink. He needed one of his own tonight.

"Does somebody worries about you, "loves you" if you call it that, continue to drink or not seek help for his drink if he knows its hurting you? "Samuel called out back at lucas as Lucas walked off." He properly thinking: Why bother, i got him by the balls so he always comes back regardless!" He shook his head and returned to the other and began taking them back to the house.

Savannah snorts, draping towels from the empty bunks. "I'm ready to sleep forever." Once finished with one bunk, she moves on to the next. "Did we get any new games?" Savannah often hangs out with the guys in the media room, breaking the ice between them. She's quite good, actually.

Done with the first room, she slips through the door and enters the next one.

After finishing her shift at the restaurant ... that one Emily still could not pronounce the name of, she tossed on a thin sweater and pulled a small handbag up onto her shoulders, it was light and only carried very little, so her shoulders could barely feel the difference. As she started walking in the crowded streets, she couldn't help but to shiver as the winds blew. It was definitely much colder in the United States than it was in Britain, or at least during this month.

After a short 20 minute walk, Emily looked up and was delighted to see the lights of a very familiar house coming into view. She walked just a little faster, and jumped up the stairs that lead to the doors. Not sure if anyone was watching the door, she gave the door a few loud knocks, fidgeting from the cold as she waited shyly.

Kayla lay in bed for what felt like hours, she didn't feel like getting up in fact she didnt feel like she could just wanting to sleep just to forward the time quickly. But she couldn't, she hadnt been sleeping well the past few months and the wounds of the cuts in her arm still hurt. She tried to think of a few things to do, the house suggested to a few books to read, some site to check for work and break the monotone but she just could bring herself to do so.

That mood changed immediately when she heard the front door, she sat up in began sweat and shake as a rush of adrenaline hit her. "It was him." she thought in near panic as her breathing began quickening, "he found me! what I am going to do?!" Fear froze her to place as she locked out the bedroom door, waiting for what was to come. Her breaths become more and more shallow.

Leon heard the knock on the door and smiled. Someone had arrived. He walked down the hall to find Savannah. He gently placed a hand on her shoulder and whispered,"Want to get the door? I'll set up the rec-room...and about the games. Some nice guy came in the other day and donated a few games for the X-box. Some kind of racing game, some Call of Duty something, and an old Assassin's Creed game."

Lucas walked down the streets. A car drove by, black Toyota Camry. Through the tinted windows he could make out a face. It was a face of one of his regulars. He drove by Lucas not even seeing him. The man pulled up down the block to where Samuel was. Lucas followed the car and the window rolled down. A boy that had been talking with Samuel flat out left him to talk to the guy in the car. Lucas walked past Samuel and tapped the boy on the shoulder.

"This guys mine newbie," Lucas said.

The man chuckled and looked at Lucas.

"I just got a raise...I want to try something new. Three way?"

"That'll cost extra Charley."

"I know," the man replied. He looked up and saw Samuel.

"Hey big guy!" The man shouted at him.

A dark look came over Samuel at the combination of being called and losing a kid to the guy. "Ow, you don't want me, mister, I tend to bite and chew and not in a good kind."He said with a sinister smile and making a biting gesture and noise. He walked closer to the man."Now sling your hook and take a hike before I call the police for underage and solicitation and give them your car registration! Explain that your wife, son of bitch!"

Ketra walked through the halls of the rainbow house trying to find something to amuse himself with. Absently he began bouncing some of the skittles he was munching on off his arm and into his mouth. A trick he learnt from a fellow thief on the streets. Volunteers passed by him some waving hello others caught up in their work. He sometimes helps out but finds it easier to keep out of the way. Turning the corner he decided to head to the rec room. Maybe he could play one of those new games

FRANKY

Franky stood in the center of the cities core, staring up at the skyscrapers that towered above her. "This is the perfect shot..." she said under her breath, reaching into her pocket for her phone. Franky new her cellphone camera was not the best tool for taking pictures, but she had no other choice at the moment. She ran her fingers through the lose curls atop her head and began walking down the sidewalk. There wasn't any place in particular Franky was trying to get to, she was just walking for the sake of it, it helped clear her mind of everything bad in her life.

(I'll make intros for my other guys later)

Savannah nods, leaving the towels on one of the bunks to continue later. "Awesome. Car games rock." She skids out of the bunk room and heads for the door down another hall. Landing abruptly in front of it, she looks through the peep hole to find one of the pretty blondes.

"Ohhai," she says, the door now open, grinning at the girl. Emily. Savannah swings against the door, opening it further for the girl.

Ketra settles down on the slightly old couch as the game started up. His pack of skittles lay on the coffee table beside him. Holding the remote firmly in his hands he watched the screen with anticipation. He has been wanting to play this game for a while. Behind him he heard noises but ignored it as his game started. It was time to beat these streets.

ZIGGY

Ziggy opened the front door of the rainbow house and stepped inside after spending the entire night out wandering in the city. He put his hands in the pockets of his black, earthy smelling, oversized hoodie and proceeded to walk towards the rec room. Ketra was the only person in the room at the time. "Hey." Ziggy said taking a seat on the spot of the old couch next to him.

ALO

Alo woke up at around 8:00 am, but he felt too unmotivated to move and therefore stayed there and stared at the ceiling for the next 15 minutes. Eventually he got out of bed. The bag that held all of his belongings was on a table in the room, he looked at it and rolled his eyes, getting dressed was not something he wanted to at the moment. So he left the room and headed downstairs to join anyone else who just so happened to be down there.

"Hey Ziggy." Ketra greeted eyes never leaving the screen as his fingers flew on the controller. He didn't need to look his voice was easy enough to recognize. "Wanna play?"

"Sure, I'll play... How does the game work exactly? What do you have to do?" Ziggy asked Ketra, watching the screen to see what exactly went on In the video game. He got up off the couch to pick up an extra controller.

Lucas glared at Samuel,"Fuck off old man...this guy wants young boy ass and that's what I have to offer."

Lucas got around the car and popped open the door to get in. He was about to get in the car when a cop car came cruising down the street. Lucas swore under his breath. As the car stopped and the circling blue and red lights started flashing. Lucas slammed the car door and the man in the car drove off. The cops didn't even try to stop him. One of the two of them went over to Lucas, a baton already extended in his hand.

"You're under arrest for solicitation," the cop told him. The man's female partner drew her baton and twirled it above her head,"The Pier is shut down...everyone go home before we call in the paddy wagon and arrest you all for loitering."

The man before Lucas ordered him to put his hands behind his back and get up against the cop car. He spit on the officer's boots and held his hands up above his head.

"These kids have no fucking homes! Where the hell are they supposed to go?!" Lucas shouted trying to rally the others. The teens didn't budge. There were 2 officers and about 50-70 of them,

"I said hands behind your back," the officer orders Lucas again.

"Fuck the police!" Lucas shouted. The officer had enough of this kids disrespect and brought the baton down on the boy's shoulder. Lucas fell to the ground. Unknowingly that officer had just started a a riot. All the teens on the pier charged at both the officers. They jumped and attacked them while others fucked up their squad car when they tried to flee to it. Lucas got up and held his shoulder. The officers eventually made it back in their mutilated squad car and drove the hell out of there.

Lucas chuckled and bent down. In the struggle the officer had dropped his baton. Lucas picked it up and had something else thrown at him by a fellow hustler, the female cop's badge.

Lucas found Samuel in the crowd and got next to him,"We better go...in 10 minutes this place is gonna be rolling with cops. Probably swat with teargas, rubber bullets, the works. They hate it when we humiliate one of their own."

Emily returned the smile, as the door swung open, revealing Savannah behind the doors. "Hello," she replied with a heavy accent, stilling herself as she crossed over and walked through the doors. The immediately warmth of the house surrounded her, and embraced her like an old friend, something she welcomed with an even brighter grin as she took her shoes off, letting it sit neatly near the door. She took a long breath in, feeling at home as the dim lights and bright colors of the house drew her attention here and there. Although she made this her 'new home', it would most likely always surprise her every time she walked through those doors.

Still wearing her thin jacket and with her bag on her shoulder, Emily quietly made her way up the stairs, towards the rooms. By the number of open doors and the closed doors, it seemed like the night shift volunteer had just been changing the sheets and blankets. At the top of the stairs, Emily waited for a moment and let out a silent breath when she didn't hear anyone in the immediate area.

She neared the door to the bedroom she usually used, but was surprised to find the door locked. Blinking in confusion, she raised a hand and gently knocked the door, "H-Hello? Is someone in there?" She asked quietly, fidgeting once again.

Ziggy nodded "makes sense..." He said sitting back down. He pressed the controllers on button, opening up a window in the game to set him up in the race. Just a few clicks later he was set to race against Ketra, "okay, I'm all set." He said as the countdown before the start began.

"Let's tear these tracks up!" Ketra shouted as the race began. His fingers flew over the remote and he focused all his attention on the game.
