It was most likely different for everyone but similar as well. That's not right...
More like it started differently for everyone, but they all ended up in the same place. That place being a underground prison in the centre of Carnageflora. A treacherous forrest where fauna and foilage alike grow bigger and scarier then anywhere and every living thing with eyes or a mouth wants you dead. Well they want everyone dead to be specific, but the point is you are located in the safest area of the most dangerous terrain in all of Brailla. That situation is changing real quick however...

Wubrick held a protective arm around his younger cousin Dalla as armed guards opened the cell door and started forcing the next group of kids outside into the light. More came in now and were more violent then was needed, presumably because the eldest Shrouda to be caught slit up two guards as the first group was being led out. The corpse of Dalla's elder brother reduced the child to tears who could only cry "Shika!" In between strained gasps for air. One of the guards could easily distinguish the grey hair known to the Shrouda clan and gave Wubrick a encouraging kick in the back to speed up.

To try anything would be suicide, the guards are fully equipped and on red alert. The kids have numbers on their side but if the guards truly wanted to, these grown adults could beat the kids to death like baby goblins trapped in a barrel.

As Wubrick picked up Dalla and hurried him out the door a flask of water was thrown at each of them, then they were directed up a set of stairs leading to a hall with many weapons laid out on the floor.
Guards lined both sides of the hall ready with guns, bows, spears, magic and more...
On the stone floor was at least fifty weapons, mostly standard machete like blades and knives but a spear or two is about. A few bows and quivers of arrows. Odd staff here and there, as well as two special artefacts! Special to the right sort of human mind you, it probably wouldn't even be noticed by most but there's always a chance.
(Its why Mr Kelly left them here of course, though they don't look like any special artefact. Just as regular as anything else here)

The two Shrouda boys were in the second group with forty eight other unlucky kids. A guard without a helmet stepped from the line to explain things. "You lot have been brought to Flora prison on the whim of one Nobleman Ellsworth J Kelly. He has graciously allowed you to have a supply of water and a single weapon before entering Carnageflora...."

Wubrick was quick to gather what was happening and swiftly picked up one of the three shortbows and quiver as the man was talking. He scampered back to his mess of a cousin. "go fetch a blade Dalla!" Wub scolded quietly as the guard continued his explanation.

"...You are free to do as you wish upon leaving these walls but Its master Kelly's wish that you would find your way south to his camp outside the forests. If you survive the horrors of Carnageflora and make it to him he has promised to reward you with safe passage to civilization. It would take two whole days of running to reach the edges in any direction as you are in the heart of hell itself. If you escape you are free but to survive you need to head south, that means exit the stairs and run left in that direction and don't stop. Just head south and don't die... master Kelly will be camping for one week waiting for you, you have no time for questions. Take a weapon and leave quickly! Do not let fear consume you.."

Dalla stayed glued to Wubrick still distraught and unable to comprehend his brother being killed before his eyes, Wub snatched a knife and placed it in the young boys hands but as he went to get a blade for himself a guard threw a rock conjured from dust at the back of his head "one weapon each and you got a bow ya dirty exile.. get going" the guard threw a second rock to punctuate his desire to see the kids off.

Wubrick didn't need a third, he and Dalla trailed behind some braver or stupider kids who felt like it was a race. They rushed up those stairs and met death. Screams and shrieks could be heard briefly before loud crunches erased said sounds.
"Terrorgores breed in Carnageflora.. we need to run while they feast on others"
Wub stated to Dalla and any in range.

The first sight one would see upon leaving the narrow stairway out into the open was a number of living trees, Ents one could call them but these Ents were of the terrorgor variety. Unable to unroot from the grounds but their branches reach out to snatch anything close enough to jam into it's awaiting mouth. Blood coating the trees being the only clue to something being wrong as they lay in wait with eyes and mouth shut, chunks of carcass litter the area.

KailaLocation:Underground Dungeon ——> Top of Stairs
Mentions: Wubrick, Dalla ( NeonFlow NeonFlow )

Kaila was, in one word, scared. She didn’t know how she had gotten where she was. She didn’t know where those who had gotten forced to leave the village were. They had gotten separated at some point and now, she was alone. Okay, well, not alone alone, since there were other kids along with her in the creepy dungeon she had found herself in. But there was no one she knew, all the faces of the other children blurring together as the small seven year old began to panic. She didn’t understand what was happening, or why she was there. Why had the adults back home done this to them? To her?
But, of course, before she could truly grasp at any straws about her current situation....someone died. A smaller child seemed to have lost a family member as another child held the crying one. And that’s when the cold numbness set in. Wherever she was, it wasn’t normal. The group of kids had gotten smaller by a good chunk when the first round was taken, and that set quite a few of the children off. And Kaila was among those few. She could feel tears threatening to fall as she thought about what was awaiting her whenever the guards came back. Would someone else die by resisting? Would someone else attack so they could escape? Would someone come save them?
No, she wouldn’t be that lucky. The guards came back, and they seemed scarier than before. A bunch of kids, herself included, were forced out of the cell they had been residing in up until now. And the moment she left, a flask of water was thrown at her. If it wasn't for her reflexes, she would have dropped it. And she was glad she didn't, because she felt like it had been ages since she had drank anything. But just as she was about to guzzle the refreshing liquid from the flask, one of the guards began to speak. She could barely keep up with what he was saying, only understanding small bits and pieces from it. And she had to make sure she knew she knew, or else things might end up becoming worse for her later on. So, she began listing what she knew: They were in the middle of probably one of the dangerous places known on the planet. And the only way out? Go south where the man who was doing this to them would be waiting for a week. She wasn't sure what would happen if you got there after a week was up, but she was only going to guess that it wouldn't be anything good. Or else the guard wouldn't have said that that was their only way of survival. Of course, Kaila wasn't sure if she could trust that, but she didn't know what else she was supposed to do.
After processing what little she had gathered, Kaila also noticed the guards throwing something at the boy who had been holding on to the grieving child. He said something about only allowed one weapon? That worried her, since she was more comfortable with dual daggers instead of just the one. Oh, she hoped it would be acceptable as she blended in with the frenzied children who were grabbing at weapons with reckless abandon. When she had made her way to the front of the pack, her ears flattened against her head as she began looking. And, thank the Gods, she saw a set of dual daggers that seemed to just sit by their lonesome. So, she took advantage of her small frame and made for them, grabbing them and heading after the few who had already made their way up the narrow staircase that seemed to be their only way out.
And what she found there...was awful. She saw kids getting eaten by the trees. She dropped to her knees, finally allowing the tears to fall. She didn't like this...she wanted to go home! She bawled as a few others seemed to push past her and the two that had been together since the beginning. She wished her friends were with her too. She didn't want to alone in this anymore. She didn't want to survive if it meant just being alone for the remainder of her life. She missed her mom, her dad, her uncle Thimas. Her friends when they played by the lake. She didn't want to face people-eating trees and a scary Hell forest that lay beyond that. She didn't want to meet a Mr. Kelly who would take her who knows where after she made it through. And her crying seemed to get worse when she heard the older of the pair she had kept her eyes on mention that the only way to get past the monster trees was to wait until they ate more kids. That someone's literal loss was to be their gain. And the small seven year old couldn't understand where that cold-heartedness came from; nor did she want to. She didn't want to wait for someone else to die just so she could! It didn't seem right! But, not seeing any other way around it, Kaila found she could only cry. The tears didn't want to stop, and she wasn't all that eager to try either. She didn't even care how thirsty she already was or how much more so it was making her. There Just wasn't anything she could do right now.

Terramae's ears hadn't stood straight since she'd first opened her eyes and found herself in the dank, filthy, hellhole surrounded by other kids of various ages. Where were Beck and Vivi? Oh... her memories were spotty, but the small girl could recall bits of how she'd gotten here. Raiders at the house, blackness, waking in a small cell huddled with her siblings, blackness, Vivian sobbing as a man tore her from their arms, blackness, Beck's face just as another man wrapped a cloth over her eyes and dragged her away too. Then she awoke here and her ears sagged. Her nose had been twitching as well, which was never a good sigh. Ha! Like the ten-year-old needed any "bad signs" to tell her that this place wasn't safe. The corpses she'd seen were evidence plenty. Despite it all, Terra wasn't quite as sad or scared as she was angry. Her father had always called her out for her temper, but he wasn't here, was he. That was part of the kindling in her internal sparking. Why wasn't he there to protect them? Why was she split from her siblings? Why did this place smell like bile? Where were they taking them all, now? And why wouldn't this stupid kid stop pulling on her ears!? Without warning, the small bunny-girl rounded on the figure who'd been messing with her for the last five minutes.

"I swear you little- Oh." Before she could tear into the annoying child, her heart clenched at the sight of a boy even smaller than her, maybe 5 years old, wearing rags and sporting a busted lower lip. "D-don't mess with me, ok?" she muttered, the rage she'd been stoking vanishing like smoke. Terra'd been using the anger to cover up her fear, but it wasn't any good. All these kids were just like her. Trapped, scared, probably alone. The girl crossed her arms over her chest and kept walking. In a group with a few others, Terra was forced into the light. Before her mind could catch up, a flask was in the girl's hand that had been thrown by one of the guards. She had the sudden urge to throw it back at the guard's head, but thought better of it. Her impulsive side would get her killed if her dad hadn't worked so hard to beat it out of her. Begrudgingly, and with a growing pit of nerves in her gut, Terra followed the directions up the stairs and gaped at the hall they no found themselves in. Weapons littered the ground like decorations and her green eyes flickered over each shiny blade.

"You lot have been brought to Flora prison on the whim of one Nobleman Ellsworth J Kelly. He has graciously allowed you to have a supply of water and a single weapon before entering Carnageflora...." So they were allowed to have one... The girl shifted in her stance and watched as other kids eagerly grabbed at the supply. Then her eyes caught on something and her hand snatched it up before she'd even thought to do so. It was a simple, long, curved blade. A samurai sword, nearly identical to the one her brother trained with at home. She wouldn't be quite as adept as Beck, but she'd practiced with it before and liked the subtle comfort it offered. Plus, it was light; Terra didn't think she would want anything to slow her down.

"...You are free to do as you wish upon leaving these walls, but it's master Kelly's wish that you would find your way south to his camp outside the forests. If you survive the horrors of Carnageflora and make it to him, he has promised to reward you with safe passage to civilization. It would take two whole days of running to reach the edges in any direction, as you are in the heart of hell itself. If you escape you are free but to survive you need to head south, that means exit the stairs and run left in that direction and don't stop. Just head south and don't die... master Kelly will be camping for one week waiting for you, you have no time for questions. Take a weapon and leave quickly! Do not let fear consume you.." Terra's nose twitch was worsening. It would probably start to look funny to others, though it had been more slight before. How bothersome.

As others rushed the exit, Terra followed slowly, her dad's words echoing through her. Even if she was upset with him, she knew he was right. Rushing into a dangerous, unknown arena was a surefire way to get oneself killed, and if she had any hope of seeing her siblings again, she couldn't die. Yes. Vivi and Beck would be her motivation. Her ears shot upright at the sound of shrieking just beyond the stairs she currently ascended. Obviously, it'd been smart to take a more calculated approach. Upon reaching the top step she heard the tail end of a boy's statement and let her eyes scanned him over. He seemed to know what he was talking about, though the words made her nose scrunch up in distaste, before returning to it's twitching. Gosh, it was getting annoying. He also had someone with him. A smaller kid. Family? Quickly, though Terra's eyes flicked to the blonde girl sobbing on her knees. Something about her hair struck a chord with Terra. Maybe because it reminded her of Vivian when she was a few years younger and had let her hair grow out. With pursed lips, the ten-year-old stepped towards the wreck of a girl and gently laid a hand on her back.

"Hey." Terra crouched beside her and her ears flopped to the sides of her head, so they drooped beyond her shoulder-length fluffy pale hair. "Wanna stick with me? You don't have to worry about anything, we can follow that guy and I'll keep you safe." She didn't know why, exactly, she offered. If she was strictly following her father's advice, she would have stayed solo, but she'd loved her siblings more than her 'trainer' and the little girl reminded her of Vivi, though their ears were very different.

As kids proceeded past Wubrick and Dalla the Ents sprang into action, roots shot out of the ground tripping kids or simply wrapping around their ankles to hold in place. Many kids stayed frozen in fear within the stairwell to the dungeon, those being attacked however did anything to survive! A girl with a machete freed herself with a frenzy of hacks to the roots rolling out of further harms way and rushing off out of view.
A boy who was about to be eaten burst desperately into flames, a small explosion echoed out sending a rumble down everybodys spine.... That boy ran off into the forrest engulfed in flames. Another called out to him "No they said go lef-"
A sly branch reached down to wrap around his neck and drag him closer to be chewed.

Wubrick like most of the rest was scared out of his mind. Only in drunken tales would his father speak of Terrorgores... To think the very vegetation in Carnageflora could become a monster like the beasts and insects... It became hard to breathe for various reasons. Fear, the amount of children stuffed into a narrow space with thirty more being pushed up with weapons. The sounds of everyone crying around him was probably the most crushing. Almost as loud as the crunching of eaten children via the scenery.

"Da.. Dalla... were gonna run to the left ok? Were gonna run real quick and your gonna swing that knife at anything that comes close to you ok?"
Wubrick was mature for his age but he to was still a child frozen with fear. Eyes watering and voice quivering as he noticed Dalla himself and others were getting pushed up out of the stairs. The guards below had forced the stragglers to continue upwards at sword point.

"we all have to run ok! We can do this! There's to many of us to give up and hide from monsters!!"
Tears welled up and rolled down his face but Wubrick faced those behind him screaming encouragement, if only to stop the pushing for a moment.
Facing the danger before them to survey the Terrorgores, roots came up from the ground so it's not only the branches to worry about, that fire the boy started is getting larger...

Wubrick and the others might notice that the burnt ent was dying in a thrashing manner, starting fires as it tried to put itself out. Other Ents had caught alight and the area was quickly turning into a wildfire
"run now!!"
Wubrick screamed at Dalla and they made a desperate rush towards the left to where a ent was standing still waiting. The two Shrouda boys barely made it, Wubrick pushed Dalla and they both fell out of reach as roots shot up from below them. It was as Wub pulled his cousin to his feet that a Ent swung at them which they had no time to react to... Dalla unintentionally shielding Wubrick from a devastating swing of a thick branch with many points, the two land far from the Ents and fire. Dalla unable to stand or speak as blood spurted from various wounds, the boy dropped his knife trying to cry his last words.

Wubrick shook Dalla screaming his name for a good twenty seconds before he noticed others escaping, dying, fighting.. he couldn't sit still crying. He had to run to the left, that way promised survival. Taking many deep breaths as he got to his feet before running for his life.

If one stood still for to long, it's likely they are about to be eaten. Some Terrorgores literally made up parts of the terrain as can be spotted in the distance was mind boggling to say the least.

20200513_132454.jpg
Monsters in varying but similar sizes to the trees blocked the path heading left. To run through would be impossible unless you had some genius plan or unworldly luck. Wubrick usually assumed he had half of both but being stuck here might put his previous thoughts to rest quite easily. He couldn't do this alone, Shika and Dalla are dead... it's who has survived who will be the only help now, or enemies.. they might take my water or bow...

Wub ran as fast as he could manage while also avoiding... Spiders bigger then a dog that crawled beneath bushes and overhead on trees leaving webs to ensare prey.

Wubrick was lucky enough to find a machete in the ribcage of a freshly slain wolf. The horned wolves always hunt in packs, meaning someone got their weapon stuck while the rest mauled said unlucky victim. With the machete in his hand Wubrick backed into a tree to survey his surroundings... The blood is still wet on the soil, these beasts would still be close. Wubrick could hear movement all around him but couldn't determine what to do as he glanced each direction in panic. It could be a surviving person like him or a wolf that jumps into this small clearing overlooking the giant plants with jaws.
==========================
You can decide if you get hurt by the Ents or not but know I'll control enemies in a actual battle or state below like I am now if you can control shit.
Spiders and horned wolves are the main thing one would spot or fight once leaving the stairs and getting close enough to spot the piranha plants.
If your character came across a terrorgore spider or wolf they dead, so everyone's lucky so far the TGs have been stationary.

Akarvis Apachin
Mentions: NeonFlow NeonFlow
Akarvis was as of right now terrified as to what was happening to them, they however got quite use to the feeling as of now though and have learned to hide it well enough. Instead they stayed in a corner of their room holding onto their knees waiting for the inevitable to happen, they had no idea what their new captors were going to do with them and all they could do was wait for the inevitable. The minutes felt long and they were not comforted by the fact that they were alone with not even a animal or plant to communicate with. That was till the doors to their cell opened and they were taken out of it, ushered along side a group of other kids a flask of water was thrown at them as they clumsily caught it taking a few sips but saving the rest for later. They heard the crying of others one mourning the death of a family member, their faced paled when they realized that they were subjected to being killed if the people here wished for it. Maybe they were all being led to their deaths? they hated the thought and tears ran down their face as they tried to quickly wipe away the tears from their eyes. They grew more scared with each step until they finally made it towards a room filled with weapons. They wondered what they had planned for them, were they going to have to fight to entertain them? they heard horror stories of people like them and they dread to think of it as true. They didn't know humans could be so cruel and evil, they were pretty convinced that their captors were doing this for their own entertainment. They were all told to grab a weapon and Akarvis hesitated for a moment before moving to search around for a weapon eventually coming across a tomahawk. A feeling of dread came over them as they picked it up not use to having a weapon in hand, they weren't much of a fighter having rarely gotten in to any fights and when they did usually other animals would help them out. Still though they were ushered outside only to find the horrors of what awaited for them outside. They clasped their hands over their mouth in shock upon seeing the forest area outside clearly not liking it at all as they got pushed out of the building by guards. They were terrified and honestly just wanted to get out of here as of now especially upon seeing the masses of death of other children happening around them they were unsure of what they should do run or try to help. They decided to run past the trees as a few tears went into their eyes but not enough to cloud their vision it wasn't until they were out of the trees range upon going left did they start to slow down a bit. Still they were cautious with what was going on around them seeing carnage around them numbed them a bit emotionally. Upon speed walking a little of the distance they soon came across the corps of a horned wolf followed moments later by growling. Looking around to see a pack of about 3 of them slowly approaching them. They had no idea what to do at first but decided to try to calm themselves down and try to communicate with them, maybe even getting help in getting out of here. Though they weren't sure it would work since they never tried communicating with these type of wolves before. They still kept a little distance between them and the wolves afraid, but still refused to back down to them non the less.

KailaLocation:Top of Stiars ----> Into the Forest

Kaila had started to calm down by the time this older bunny girl came over to talk to her. Her big, water-filled eyes looked up at her with confusion but also hope. Relief. She gave a small nod of her head before taking a deep breath. She shouldn't be crying. It was pointless to be when there was still a very great possibility of her dying. And she still had to find out if the other kids were alright too! All of her friends couldn't have ended up somewhere worse, after all. Even if it was shaky, the small seven year old made a resolve as she slowly stood back up. She was still crying, but she tried to look as brave as she could. Her ears were still flattened against her head, but she gripped her daggers so tightly that her knuckles had turned white. She nodded her head another time, this time a bit firmer. "Yes...thank you very much miss." Her small voice muttered as loudly as she could manage. She couldn't smile though. If she did, she felt she would be lying more to herself than the small child could handle. And then she might start crying again, and that wasn't a good option at the moment. She was about to introduce herself, so she would at least be able to hear if this older girl was calling for her, but then she felt someone push her forward.
In panic, Kaila looked behind her to see the remaining children who had been behind her being pushed forward. She could only imagine it was those awful guards that had explained their situation...or, at least, the end of it. How everyone got there, she wasn't sure. She wasn't even entirely sure how she ended up here herself. She had to take a couple steps forward, almost tripping over the older rabbit girl, just to keep from getting trampled. She cried out from surprise as they kept coming, though she didn't want to get out just yet. They kept pushing and pushing, causing Kaila to start panicking once more. But it quickly stopped as she and the others heard the boy's words. It wasn't all that motivating - at least, not to Kaila - but he was saying it while crying. This boy was just as scared as she was, but he was able to push through it. She was impressed, reminded of how her father and uncle always pushed through the things that scared them (though those things were their wives). And then, he and the child he kept with him ran into the raging flames that seemed to take the Ent's by surprise. "W-We should follow him...right?" She asked, unsure if it was a good idea or not. But, she didn't really see any other choice as it was the only seemingly passable escape route.
So, she followed. Kaila was able to dodge any roots or branches pretty easily, seeing as they were slower than her uncle's sword. In any other circumstances, she would have had fun dodging their attacks while reading their movements; even if she wasn't all the best at reading what her opponent was doing. It did take her longer, however, to get to where the boy had gone, and when she had gotten there, there laid the child that was with him. She covered her mouth with her hands to muffle her screams, new tears falling onto the devastated ground. She couldn't believe he had died! Kaila looked around, but she couldn't see the boy anywhere. Had he already gone ahead? He just left his family? Kaila just couldn't understand how he was able to leave his body behind so quickly! She quickly ran out of reach of the Ent's branches and roots, finding a safe place to rest while looking for the rabbit girl. She had just taken off, so she hoped she didn't leave her behind to deal with what would soon be a riot of scared children. Her eyes scanned where she had previously came from, looking for the girl so she wouldn't have to be alone in this. She knew she wouldn't survive if strength was something she needed to get away from some of these monsters, so having more than one person would be a great idea. She was even hoping to team up with a few others so that they all would have a greater chance at survival. The thought that the other children could turn on her not once crossing her mind.

"Yes...thank you very much miss." Miss? If they had been in any other situation, Terramae might have giggled at being called Miss. Wasn't that reserved for adults? Despite never having mixed with people outside of her family, never being allowed to stray far from their small home, Terra thought she one common phrases and such. It gave her a sense of pride, like she was older and wiser. She nodded at the younger girl, but a shove from behind nearly caused her to lose her balance, so the girl straightened to a standing position.

"Da.. Dalla... were gonna run to the left ok? Were gonna run real quick and your gonna swing that knife at anything that comes close to you ok?" Terra glanced towards the voice. It was the boy she'd said they would follow. With a surveying glance out to the field, the vanilla-haired girl pursed her lips. The carnage was harrowing, but she'd steeled herself against it since first ascending the steps. Letting herself get caught up in it all would have just made her weaker, slower; Terra couldn't afford that today, especially when she'd just promised to keep a little girl safe. Maybe that wasn't the smartest plan. Everything was catching on fire now, because some boy had lit up one of the tree monsters. It was a mess of heat and burning foliage and bodies and the sheer smell was rather disorienting. Amidst all the shoving and screaming and death, the boy from earlier's voice rang out again and her eyes watched the little Neko girl she was with. "We all have to run ok! We can do this! There's too many of us to give up and hide from monsters!!" Terra swallowed the fear that came with this course of action, and as soon as the boy took off with the smaller child, her eyes went to her own companion.

"W-We should follow him...right?" the blonde girl said.

"Let's go." Terra replied, and both girls began to run after the white-haired boy without another word. The bunny girl was fast; her strides were almost like leaps which made up for having short legs, and whenever a limb swung she'd bound over the top of it, or tuck into a roll below. Still, she wasn't at her top speed. Wanting to keep her promise to the girl, Terra stayed behind her, keeping a close watch on their surroundings as they run to ensure her safety and that they wouldn't get separated. It felt like watching from behind was safer.

Suddenly, a branch from the tree was coming at her from behind. A twitch from her nose and a slight whistle picked up by her acute hearing alerted her just before it was too late and Terra dove to evade it and rolled to the Earth. Without hesitation, she returned to her pace but her round eyes widened in fear. She'd lost the other little girl. In that single moment, the small Neko girl had vanished from her view. Had she been hurt or killed? Hopefully, she'd just taken cover somewhere... In her search for her small companion, Terramae spotted the white-haired boy diverging to the left, noting that he was also alone now. If she had the time, she would have questioned where his friend had gone. Instead, the tan girl bound over an advancing branch and followed the boy, believing the blonde girl would have done the same.

Terra perfectly mimicked the boy's path and, along the way, spotted a familiar body soaked in blood on the ground. No. No, no, no! It couldn't be. In a hurry to confirm, Terra ran to the body and relief actually hit her. It wasn't the little girl she'd promised to protect. It was, however, the body of that boy's companion. She felt a little sick for feeling relieved, but quickly searched the area. A sniffle caught her sharp ears and the girl bounded back to where she found the small girl hidden.

"Thank gosh. Come on, we don't have time to hide!" Terra didn't hesitate more than that. With the hand not still clutching the thin samurai sword, she grabbed the small girl's hand and tugged, then let it go and took off in the direction she'd seen the bigger boy heading, praying the girl was following. After a heated run avoiding jumbo spiders and the fires that still spread from the tree monsters, Terra halted very abruptly and held up a hand to signal to the other girl to stop as well. Her other senses caught the impending threats before her eyes could and she dropped into a crouch. Up ahead, a figure was just approached by 3 horned wolves. She narrowed her eyes and scanned the area quickly for anything else. Unfortunately, her rather iffy eyesight didn't spot anything, though her ears picked up on a subtle ruffle in the greenery a good distance away. Someone, or something, was there among trees. Whatever it was wasn't the most pressing issue. It wouldn't be clear if she could trust this new figure who currently faced off against the pack of wolves, but they might be more likely an ally than a foe if she helped them. Though that could put both her and her new companion in danger. Terramae bit back a curse her dad had inadvertently taught her, and turned sharply towards the younger girl. "I think I should help them. You can stay back if you're too scared. If something happens to me, don't start crying again, ok? Just run." Her ears quirked up slightly, before she turned away and paced her way to the new person's side, not wanting to frighten the animals into an attack, but keeping her weapon ready. This seemed like a very very dumb decision, and one that her father ould beat her for if he knew, but Terra planted her feet in a proper stance beside them and muttered a shakey and unconfident, "Hi," while keeping her senses locked on the wolves ahead of them.

Akarvis would have no luck in communicating with the horned wolves in front of her. All she could sense from them is rage, regret, fear, a drive to become the new alpha and lead the pack onwards. The alpha wolf was killed recently which has whipped the various packs of wolves into a competitive situation.wol.jpg

The three beasts roar at the changeling before cocking their heads to different sides, sniffing the air as if noticing something. It was as Terramae stepped into view
The wolf in the middle barked loudly and ran at Akarvis, pouncing into the air hoping to land on top of the small one to rip apart in it's feral jaws. The other wolves ran off to the sides as if they had planned this out beforehand.
The two ran straight into the tall grass to circle around and pounce from a different angle, the wolves speed is impressive but not impossible to counter. They wait for the first strike to land before attempting to bite and tear flesh...

Not much further from this battleground was the clearing Wubrick found himself. The sounds of grass rustling and low growls around him drove Wub into climbing the tree, with a big swing that took two attempts... The machete was stuck in the bark giving the child a foothold to climb higher. Once safely perched on a branch with a view, Wubrick spotted what was making the noises.
Two horned wolves eyeing him down, and some kids being stalked by three more just a stones throw away.

A quick count of arrows meant Wub had less then twenty attempts to survive. The bow wasn't anything special but it was crafted well, Wubrick readied a arrow and drew the string back. The first arrow missed, sending the two wolves into a rage as they attempt to jump high enough to chew him.
Wub climbed higher....

Hope that made sense, it's early as I wrote it aha
Basically saying five wolves in the immediate area,
only one wolf has pounced in to attack the shapeshifter and the Bunny, the other two are playing by the rules of turn based combat and waiting to see how your characters act.

Please write out actions as attempts, if you want a character to backflip over the threat and then break the bad guys neck you might put "Bob flipped over the wolf as it lunged, as he landed on top of it he attempted to grab it's horns and twist it's head off"

I would then write the reaction and what happened in the next post, if bobs attempt was successful I'd describe how the wolf died, if he wasn't then my next post would explain why and how bob is getting chewed.

Kaila had been lowkey panicking before the rabbit girl had found her. That older boy seemed like he was really strong, but he couldn't even protect his friend. Then what hope did she have to make it? Would she bring the rabbit girl down, causing her to die too? She was about to get dragged down into her fears when she found her. And she didn't waste any time, just telling her they needed to go before taking off. While it had surprised the younger girl, Kaila was quickly up on her feet and following behind the older girl. Though her fears didn't completely leave her. She had begun wondering if she should just branch out and away from the girl so she wouldn't have to worry about protecting her like she had promised. She didn't want to be responsible for her death if she died protecting her because fear had frozen her legs from running or her arms from swinging her newfound weapons. Of course, they didn't really make it very far, mainly focusing on avoiding the freakishly large spiders and the rapidly smelling fire. The smell of burnt monster flesh and the various components that made up the forest around them was starting to get to her. And then they stopped again, but this time she could guess why. She guessed it was because the rabbit girl heard the same thing Kaila did, and she was now more thankful than ever that she was born with these ears. Kaila was about to suggest they run in another direction when the older girl said she was going to go help the kid that was going against the wolves a little further ahead. That Kaila should run if something were to happen to her. The smaller girl wanted to protest: That it was stupid to try and play hero for every kid. That it would be suicidal if there were more that they weren't hearing. But then it hit her that she didn't have the right to speak out against it, seeing as she was getting help as well.
So, she just spoke a soft "Yes." But it didn't matter what she said, since the rabbit girl was already making her way to the other child. And back in came the crashing fear and anxiety. So what did she do? She climbed a nearby tree. She could see that the monsters looked like wolves, so they probably couldn't climb like the wolves that had lived by her village. So now, rabbit girl wouldn't have to worry about her getting attacked. And, since she was at a higher position, maybe she could be useful too? She hadn't had enough time to practice since she had found out she could do this, but she could keep watch for anything that may try to attack from behind her or the other child with her magic. Kaila could only hope that this attempt would be useful and end up backfiring like it had been in her recent practice sessions with the older kids who had their own magical abilities. Once she was comfy enough on her branch, her eyes shifted with the use of her magic, and she began her first attempt at using it in this new and strange world she had found herself in.

Cedric

This is all a nightmare, this couldn't be real. Being thrown into a jail seemed surreal enough for him and now this? He was lucky enough to get away from the Ents but one got him good with a pretty large gash on his left arm. Now, he jogged through the forest awaiting his death. Cedric held his hand against the gash on his left arm, hoping to slow it down at least. The wound wasn't fatal but it sure as hell was an annoyance. Many of the others ran ahead and he could still hear the screams from those who didn't even make it past the Ents. Tears began to appear at the edge of his eyes, he couldn't get the screams out of his head. He wiped his eyes with the hand that held a short sword and continued on in hopes of a break from the screaming. As he moved on, the screams became more distant and they seized for a few moments before new ones sprouting up ahead of him. He felt like he had just been thrust into hell. The blunt sword gave him no comfort but hopefully with his magic, he'd be able to put it to good use. He eventually slowed down as the sounds behind him were distant and began to focus on the ones ahead. As he walked, he glanced up as he heard the occasional rustling in the trees, hoping that the spiders he spotted earlier didn't make his way to him.

Cedric continued his walk, jumping at every slight sound and the occasional scream. He examined the gash on his arm and it seemed the bleeding started to slow down. Running would just alert every creature in my vicinity. I might be able to sneak around some creatures if the others distract them. Saving my strength is vital if I'm going to make it out of here. It wasn't a very moral plan, it basically relied on the others being bait but that was the only way he thought he might be able to get out of here alive. He held his sword closer as lots of movement could be heard in the distance. He didn't know if it was a creature or a child, he wasn't going to take a chance. He noticed that he was approaching a clearing and the rustling got louder. He got a glimpse of the situation and it didn't seem so good for the child. Two wolves were jumping up the tree trying to get to him but it seemed that he was too high for their grasp. Out the corner of his eye, he caught sight of two children who seemed to be in a worst situation than the boy in the clearing. He noticed a small girl climbing a tree, probably one of their companions. He had no desire to help them and he turned his head away and continued on.

He felt like there wasn't much he could do and if his counting was correct, he saw 3 wolves. Cedric tried to sneak his way around the clearing, hoping to avoid the wolves entirely. With them distracted, he might actually have a chance at avoiding them. He thought he was doing good till he stepped on a branch that snapped under his feet. Cedric's face immediately went pale as the sound was quite loud and any creature who was listening would have definitely heard it. He gripped his sword as his gaze began to turn in the direction of the wolves. If they heard it, that was his death sentence.

Mother had always told that fear was good. That there was nothing wrong with being afraid of something. The rush of blood pumping to every single part of his body made him stronger, she said. So much more stronger, faster and alert than he would ever be. Legosi would always hang onto those words of hers when they were chased for stealing a piece of bread or fruit. They brought him hope. Comfort. To know that he was running alongside someone who, despite being who they are, were always so kind and strong. So no matter when he was beaten up, no matter what horrible thing happened to them on the streets, so long as he was with her, he didn't care. That fear kept the two of them together, and he felt alright despite it all.

So why...

Why is it that same fear that always kept him looking forward and running, keeping him in place?

He'd managed to get past the Ents with a bleeding wound across his right calf- which hurt a lot - and now... now he's realized the full gravity of the situation. The other kids are dying. And any of those bodies could have easily been him. Legosi hid behind a tree, clutching his spear tightly as he feared for his life. The fear started to settle in his bones, keeping him paralyzed like there were vines wrapped around his body. He knows that he should keep himself calm. But this isn't exactly a situation that he can keep calm in. This wasn't like getting chased by the stall owners or shopkeepers, this was actually life or death. If he didn't move, he was sure that he would die. And yet he can't help but hide and stand still.

The occasional screams would remind him of death and that the more he lingers, the higher chance that he would be one of those screams. Legosi wiped off the few tears that broke out and attempted to steel himself. He takes a deep breath. Alright. With more focus and a little less fear in his heart, his could pick up on nearby rustling. It might be good to investigate to see what he would be dealing with throughout this forest. So he readies his spear just in case. Legosi walks slowly, cautious. Too much movement would hurt his leg more.

He spots other kids and he wolves too. Some kids were climbing trees, some already in the trees and two of them were getting attacked by them. As much as he wants to help them, it would be way better for him if he decided to take advantage of this and try to run around instead. But to just leave them there, fending for themselves... something about doing that does not sit right with him. No, I'd die if I helped them! But... but they'd be more likely to die if I didn't. The thoughts in his head were conflicting.

Helping them is a stupid decision. But he has the spear. He could help them. And he doubts he could survive alone, even if he does have a spear. What would mother do? She'd surely help them like she always helps him, right? Mother is kind and must still be looking for him. Mother may have lost him, but he'll follow in her footsteps and be kind. Even if it is the stupid decision. Legosi's heart beats as fast as it possibly could, the fear pumping him with blood. Fear is good, he reminds himself of those words mother used to say. And using that fear, he ignores the pain in his leg as best as he can and rushes with his spear to impale one of the wolves that ran to the side.

At the other child's side, Terra's senses latched onto the wolves that had suddenly launched into a commotion. Two had split off, but she didn't waste time watching them; her focus zeroed in on the single monster that launched itself at the kid she'd decided to try and help. At that moment, Terra pushed off from her heel and swung her sword up and directing the blade with precision, in a single fluid motion, attempting to slash the beast's exposed underside as it flew towards them. Building adrenaline and her mana increased her speed as the girl drove the upswing home. The momentum of the swing had her spinning back so she was now facing back where she'd come from, able to note the smaller girl up in a tree and something else. Another kid! And he was attacking one of the other wolves!?

(Just a little wolf post)

The three horned wolves Cedric spotted are quite busy with their latest victim. The sound of chewing stopped however as a very loud twig snapped, the wolves arch their heads away from lunch to set their eyes upon a new meal. The young boy was faced with low growls from blood dripping snarls as they approach... A arrow flies into the behind of a wolf, it yelped a startled yip as it collapsed as a result of surprise neutering. But the other two wolves dash towards Cedric with bloody fangs, with less then a meter between the two beasts as one leaps into the air with a dramatic pounce the other stays low and behind to follow up.

The wolf that pounced toward Akarvis found itself bleeding out rather quickly, the changeling unable to avoid being sprayed with blood.
(She could probably turn into this breed of wolf now...)
The wolf in the tall grass avoids the spear from the wounded pup quite easily, he did however change his attention to focus on the one with a spear. The wolf stalks slowly in a circle around Legosi, as if trying to figure out the range of said pointy object.

The other wolf wasted no time however, it lunges from the tall grass to attempt sinking it's teeth into the leg of Akarvis!

"Gottim!"
Wubrick let out a cry of success as his arrow downed a wolf, it probably didn't help the kid with a sword to much but two wolves is easier then three... except for the two wolves below him. They seemed to be getting smarter, or at the very least getting better at working together. One Wolf jumped as high as it could and the other wolf would jump off it's back before it landed. Wub will never say how the wolf was able to knock him from the tree, his bow blocking the jaws that would tear his throat out sent the two falling to the ground below. Wubrick was lucky enough to form a dagger out of mana before he broke the fall of the beast.

The large bushes full of thorns that grew underneath the tree? Itchy and sharp.
The cost of a bow snapped in half? Large and costly.
The feeling you get when cutting open the weak part of a beast that almost bested you? Priceless.
"gottim"
Sounded out weakly from the thorn bushes as all the arrows fell out Wubs quiver and he struggled to move. it hurts it's all pain.. If this isn't all wolf blood coating me I may be in trouble...
Wubs heart beated as if pumping the blood of two people, the adrenaline surged through him but he couldn't move from the thick pointy vegetation he was stuck in.

A horned wolf paces around the bushes growling frustration.

Staring at the ceiling of his cell, Erik was writing old runes of his tribe and trying to translate them into the common language of the guards into the small pile of dirt on the ground, the small bits of light he had shining on the ground. He frowned as he misspelled the words, for the past few days he had been trying to get a gist of what the guards where saying and they weren't keen on having to translate themselves. He had been in this cell for a little bit now, sold as a slave to an unknown master he was blindfolded and brought here and hasn't been doing much except eat, sleep and listen. There where others within the cell, tho he didn't talk to them much and some well, were rotting in a corner, He didn't pry to deeply into why he was here, he wouldn't find much and honestly he already resigned his fate.

Suddenly, he heard the voices of the nearby prisoners as they cried and question what the guards where doing. He tried looking but all he saw was silhouettes of the people moving towards the outside, but as he was looking one of the guards walked up towards his cell and said "Don't worry ye raiding barbarian, you will see soon enough what is happening." The guard grinned with his crooked teeth as he and some fellow guards proceed to open the door and grabbed Erik and the others by the arm tightly, "Now lets go, don't make too much trouble for me like the others will ya?". Though Erik only understood bits and pieces of the guards words he understood the gist of what the man said, nodding he followed the guard without hesitation.

When he reached the stairs, seeing the rows of guards and the pile of weapons in front of him it was confusing at first, then listening to what he could understand from the guard who spoke to the group of crying and confused kids was to go south and something about death, he hasn't cleared up that bit. He was tossed a waterskin and seeing the kids go towards the area with weapons, realized the reason why the kids where going there and his thoughts went wild "What is so terrible in there that they gave us weapons, who did this? Was it said and I just didn't understand it?" then he stopped, calmed himself and proceed to look for a weapon, sadly there weren't any shields in the pile but he found an abnormal ax, something similar to what the people of his region would use. Picking it up and feeling the weight.

Deciding that it was better than using some cheap sword of the Kingdom he immediately went down the stairs and onto that valley of death, instantly fear plunged over him, the cries of the damned and those trying to fight it where loud, his breathing grew rapid and his thoughts only thought about running away. The large monsters that are claiming the lives of many where terrifying, far beyond any of the tales his father once told him, suddenly he smelled smoke, he turned to see that a boy lit one of the tree men on fire and it was spreading like crazy. This kicked his thoughts to run away into overdrive and he sprinted away into the forest.

He didn't look back, running through the forest as fast as he could, the cuts from the trees and the roughness of the terrain not stopping him as he still heard the cries of those damned all around him and the noises of the monsters of this forest, he cursed at his luck and stopped near a tree, he calmed down for a bit and smacked his face, suddenly he heard the growls of what sounded like wolves, "Úlfar..." thinking that he looked around the tree to see two wolves advancing on a swordsman, "Damn, can't keep running.". Deciding on his course of action he ran pass the tree to the back of the wolves and started to yell at the wolves in his language "Over here you overgrown pups!" banging the ax against the ground to attract some of the attention off the swordsman and yelled in a broken version of their language "I, help you, take one Úlfar, you other."

The worst case scenario that Cedric was dreading just happened. Those wolves new meal would be him and being eaten alive surely wasn't the way that he wanted die. They were closing on him quick but an object flew through the air striking one of the wolves. It was an arrow and it seemed to do the job good, taking down one of the wolves. A two on one was better than fighting three of them. He'd have to thank that boy in the tree later, he possibly just saved his life. Cedric focused on the two wolves that were quickly approaching him and took a defensive stance with his sword. He was determined to take out one of them at least before he died. This may be my last moments here, better make it count.

He was about to spring into action when another boy sprung behind the two wolves and tried to distract at least one of them, telling him to strike the other one or at least he tried to, his broken sentence hard to understand. The boy's appearance caused him to lose his train of thought and it led to him not realizing that the first wolf was almost upon him and had pounced. As a last ditch effort, Cedric mustered all the strength he could and with his magic, he swung his sword at the wolf's head hoping for a kill. If he missed, this spelt disaster for him. If the other wolf ignored the boy, he'd be dead anyway. He was just hoping luck was on his side for today.

Akarvis faced paled when they felt the negative emotions coming off the wolves knowing that they likely wouldn't be able to tame them as their animal instincts were taking over. When the wolves started to circle around them to cut off their escape routes though Akarvis knew that fighting was inevitable at that and pulled the tomahawk out readying to fight. Though before the wolves completely surrounded them another girl came offering their hello as they were prepared to help them, Akarvis was surprised that someone came to help them and gave them a nod of acknowledgement to them grateful for the assistance. When one of the wolves pounced at them their survival instincts started to kick in, as they now started to focus more on taking out the wolves. Though before the wolf could strike against them the other girl pounced at them with very fast speed, they figured the bunny girl just hopped at them with their weapon in hand in order to impale the wolf. Either way when she took out that wolf Akarvis didn't hesitate before putting their attention to the other wolves hiding within the tall grass, though the rustling of the grass gave their location away towards them. One of the wolves was getting attacked by another kid which did surprise them a bit but that only meant to them that other wolf was going to be the one to attack them, in which they started to prepare for as they had their tomahawk ready to put down on the wolfs head while putting their foot back to make it so that the wolf would move farther towards them in order to attack their legs. The sooner they took out the wolf charging at them, the sooner they would be able to help the other kid take out the other wolf.

The wolf that had pounced into the air caught the full force of the sword with one of its jagged horns, breaking it off halfway and sending the wolf realing back in pain with a loud whimper. The one horned wolf raised its head to let a long howl loose before it lowered its stance with a long low growl, one horn edged closer keeping it's eyes on Cedric's blade while taking little glances at his feet.

The horned wolf after Akarvis proceeded with its lunge and was able to chomp down on the changeling, biting just above the ankle leaving its neck fully exposed to a good thwock as the beast thrashed it's head to drag Akarvis down and into the grass away from the rabbit.

From her higher advantage point, and the use of her mana pool, Kaila was seeing a bit more than she would have from the ground. There was another kid that joined the rabbit girl and the boy she went to help, so that put her slightly at ease. The wolves were circling around and that was terrifying, but what could she do? She was kept watch, waiting until her mana pool to run out since all she could do was watch...or that's what she would have done. But there was the sound of rustling leaves coming from above her, and as whatever it was got closer, she looked up. There, right above her, was a spider. Not as big as the one that was heading toward where they had started, but it was still bigger than most spiders she had seen before coming to this forest. She quickly covered her mouth with her hands, careful of the sharp blades of the daggers she refused to release, to stop any sound coming out. If she screamed, she would distract the nice girl down below. So, instead, she quickly backed as far back as she could on the branch she was currently perched on. Her ears were flat against her head and her tail was flicking around in her fear. She stopped using her Scoop so she could focus on more realistic, jump-possible branches of nearby trees. She was frantically looking around, not wanting to kill anything just yet. If she did, she might be targeted by anything that may have been friends or family with this slowly descending eight legged nightmare. She had to play it safe, and running seemed safest.
She kept looking at all the nearby trees, finally finding one that she was pretty sure was close enough. She slowly crouched down, aiming for that certain branch, before jumping. She had practiced tree hopping back home often enough that she had enough confidence to make it. But she was feeling more fear than she had back at home, and she was shaking before she jumped, so as she jumped, she squeezed her eyes shut while reaching for the branch. She was hoping more and more that she could grab hold of that branch to get away from the spider. That was the only thought crossing her mind now.

The blood from the wolf she'd slashed sprayed across her face and sent a chill down her spine, but also held some relief. Her ears stood tall in the midst of the danger, turning every which way so she could be alert of everything. Terra's eyes flashed when one of the beast's jaws clashed bloodily around the other kid's ankle. Something like Deja vu hit her with momentary panic, despite her training, and her breath hitched in her throat. A flash of terror crossed her face, but, then, she shook her head harshly; the wolf had begun to drag the blue-eyed child to the ground and into the grass, freezing up wasn't an option. With a rather childish "hiii-yah!" that seriously ignored her father's stealth training, the usagimimi girl drew back her sword and charged after them, aiming the tip of the narrow blade directly at the creature's exposed neck, attempting to drive the sharp weapon straight through its throat like a wolfy shishkabob.

The little bit of confidence Erik had when he first faced the wolves dissipated as one of the wolves turned towards him, looking into its hungry eyes, he realized that he might have made a mistake. The snarls of the beast and its ferocious fangs baring towards him. Erik had little time to think before the blasted thing launched towards him, instantly Erik started to panic "Oh shit!" he tried leaping to the side but the wolf managed to bite onto his arm. The pain instantly shot up his arm, he yelled, his mind grew blank as it only focused on the wolf and the bite in his arm. "Goddamn Úlfar! That fucking hurts!" he yelled in his tongue, he started the bash the head of the wolf with the ax in the other arm. Letting the end of the ax continuously slamming on the cranium of the beast he forgot the fear he had just felt as anger consumed him. Despite the pain and the razor sharp teeth in his body he continued to do so saying "Just die already!" though he didn't know if the wolf was actually hurt as his vision was turning blurry as the pain was overwhelming.

As Cedric's blade missed its mark, his face went pale again. He was expecting an attack but none came. He had chopped off one of the wolf's horns and it did not seem so happy about it. At least the beast backed off from him, giving him some time. The wolf gave a howl and that sure as hell did not mean good news. If anymore wolves come, I'm screwed and that kid won't be in a much better place either. Cedric totally forgot about the kid and glanced at him, seeing his situation. Cedric cursed under his breath as he watched the scene unfold. If he didn't do something now and try to help the boy, that beast will rip off his arm probably followed by his death.

Cedric held the blade in his hand out to keep the beast at a distance. It was now or never and he must take the offensive now. With a loud yell, Cedric charged the beast but this time instead of wacking at the creature, he attempted to thrust his blade into him. Chopping at his head didn't work, hopefully this will. He put everything he had left into the charge and thrust, hoping that his magic will aid him in this creatures demise. He had to help the boy but this creature stood in his way.

Not that it matters to those in Carnageflora. Those there had much more to worry about. The newest alpha wolf to form in the wilds was unknowingly becoming a terrorgore. While it's whole physical appearance is much more threatening and dangerous for the kids about...

That was when he spotted the transforming wolf. Every second dragged, every beat of his heart palpable. Amidst the adrenaline rush, Ciaran resolved that he couldn’t—wouldn’t—let more children like himself die.

A javelin soon flew at the wolf dodging the direct assault from Terra. The kitsune clad in dingy blue and white robes beckoned for her and Akarvis while drawing the next javelin from his quiver. His hand then flicked into a pointing gesture towards that morphing monstrosity.

Kaila landed on the tree over, but not wanting to risk the spider following, she went over another couple of trees. She could still see the rabbit girl without the use of her Scope, but she was farther away. But it looked like she was still doing alright. So, Kaila decided to look around a bit, just to get a layout of the immediate surroundings. But there was no way she was going onto the ground: She’d be eaten alive! So she began hopping from tree to tree, going around in a circle to get a better idea of what was around their growing group. She wouldn’t use her Scope so she didn’t waste what little mana she had left, but what else could she do? So she went around in a rather large circle, making sure to avoid any other animals and/or monsters that had made the trees their homes so she could attempt to gather as much visual information of the rabbit girl’s surroundings so there won’t be any surprises to sneak up on her while she’s fighting off the terrifying dogs...er...wolves. She had paused to cast a worried, nervous look at the beasts more than a handful of times. She wasn’t the biggest fan of the canine family, after all. They were always chasing her or picking on her back home too.

"Gah!" he cried, as the wolf finally let go of his arm, and fell down dead, the blood from the wolves head flowing onto the ground. Erik sat down, lying against a tree, his ax arm was bloody and his other arm was bleeding, the pain from the bruises and puncture marks making him cry out in pain. He grabbed his shirt, and ripping a sleeve proceeded to wrap it around his arm, above the actual wound to slow or prevent the bleeding. He looked at the dead wolf, then looking at the swordsman who was fighting the other wolf he tried to stand up, but fell back down, unable to do anything he only could watch until he could stand again.
